And you know that something is happening because the doppelgänger of his dead wife just showed up to the firehouse with brownies like it was just another Monday. You think you might have to push him to talk, but it feels more like your best friend was just waiting for someone to see him, and he is just as dumbfounded as you, and maybe even as scared for himself as you are for him. So you tell him that he needs to break it off with the doppelgänger of his dead wife, but you know that it’s more complicated than that, your best friend’s feelings, even though you trust him to do the right thing and end it with her. But you’re still not through the shock of seeing the doppelgänger of your best friend’s dead wife standing in the fire station, heart beating, lungs expanding, and so you think that maybe your best friend is still in shock too, and you don’t want to push too hard at his grief-wound. So you leave it for now, and you don’t come back to it until it blows up in your face, and your best friend’s face, and his son’s face too.

So yeah, I’d say that Buck probably has a lot of regrets too about the Kim situation. He’s a fixer, no matter how hard he tries, and they lost the kid both of them love more than anything over the situation. You can’t tell me that Buck hasn’t been screaming crying throwing up about it since May. Fuck that.

It doesn’t matter that we don’t get characters’ inner thoughts (usually) on this show. Buck met Kim, and he talked about it with Eddie twice. That’s crazy. That’s certifiably insane. It’s been six months. The midseason finale is tomorrow. There is no excuse for Eddie and Christopher still not speaking. This is no excuse for Buck and Eddie still never discussing Kim or at least Chris leaving. These characters are not meant to be this horrifically repressed. It is strange. It is out of character. Kim showed up for about four episodes and disappeared into the ether. I want to know what the hell is going on with this storyline.

notes : i said i would start getting requests and i know, i know, it’s been a few days since then, but look! i got this done for you guys :) it is definitely not my best work though, so keep that in mind

mikey : your older brother so happened to piss mikey off, you heard vaguely something about giving up critical intel to a rivaling gang without even realizing he was doing it, your idiot brother. since it wasn't intentional, mikey decided to take care of it himself by coming to your house to try and settle a deal with your brother.

you heard the commotion and listened through the door their conversation, and just when it was getting a little bit interesting, a little bit heated too, you pressed to hard against the door not knowing it wasn't closed all the way causing you to fall right into the floor in front of mikey and your brother.

"oh? who's this, huh?" mikey asks in a low tone, one bordering on amused as he looks away from you and at your brother, smirking. you only stare dumbfounded, still stiff on the floor from such an embarrassing give away to your eves dropping while your brothers eyes widen as he looks between you and mikey nervously.

"mikey, they don't have anything to do with this. they were just listening in cause they don't know how to mind their fucking business, alright? this is between you and me," your brother chokes out, sounding desperate. you scoff offendedly at the jab out you being nosey; who the hell wouldn't be nosy when their brother got his ass into some trouble with a gang leader?

your annoyance with your brother dissipates when mikey bends down in front of you, his hand coming to grab at your chin, moving your face from side to side as he looks at you.

"you're pretty, aren't you?" he whispers more to himself than anyone else in the room, but you still heard him, and you gulp in anticipation, lips parting afterwards to breath in more air because you feel suffocated under his gaze.

"you know, i can forget all about your little mess up if you let me have your sibling..." mikey suggests, an almost threatening tone laced within his words. you inhale sharply as your stomach whirls and your heartbeat races. your brother gives you a sympathetic look, and you know then that there's no way getting out of this.

izana : it was chance that he met you, the younger sibling to one of his lower ranked gang members. you weren't supposed to be at the docks, but you followed your brother one night who had foolishly led you straight into the prying, lustful eyes of other gang members of whom you had the misfortune to catch the eye of. the commotion caught izana's attention, and from that moment you'd trapped yourself in a corner to be stalked and analyzed by a predator waiting for the right moment to pounce.

you really were like a deer in headlights that night, stumbling shyly into the center of the docks for all to see. your brother stood staring wide eyed at you, hissing about why the fuck you were there and how you should be asleep at home, but izana was quick to shush him.

"why the hell are you getting mad when you were the insolent fuck who got followed, huh?" he grits, glaring at your brother, daring him to say another word. when your brother bites his tongue and looks away shamefully, izana turns to you with a softer expression on his face.

"it's dangerous for you to be around here at night, you know? do you even know what kind of place you walked yourself into?" he asks, a lilt of amusement in his voice as he watches you curl into yourself, your hands grasping at the hem of your shirt tightly.

"i just-" you start, a nervous wobble in your voice as you realize the kind of situation you've found yourself in, "my brother- i just wanted to know what my brother was up to. i didn't know it would be, uh, this..." you trail off, taking a small step back when izana starts to approach.

"yeah? well, you're awful dumb, huh? now look at you, you're practically shaking like a fucking leaf," he huffs a laugh, "don't worry, pretty angel, not a damn person here will hurt you. i'll make fucking sure of that," he whispers the last part to you as he stops right in front of you, staring at you with his wide, intense eyes.

you just think its so funny to see sae get all worked up whenever you bring up rin into the conversation. i mean, it was harmless really. just complimenting the younger itoshi and lowkey doting on him when given the chance.

nothing really gets under sae's skin especially when it comes to soccer. he himself is confident with his skills that even if someone tells him he's shit on the field, he doesn't take it to heart. however, if he gets compared with rin on the other hand, it turns into a different story.

"congrats on the match, sae" you greet, giving sae a little peck on the cheek before handling him his water bottle and towel. he grins and wraps an arm around your shoulders as you both walk out of your campus' field and onto the parking lot.

sae opens the trunk of his car and sits down. he unties his cleats and changes into fresh clothes. you watch and smile at your fellow students who are all going home with smiles on their faces as your school has won against some rival school for this year's interschool soccer tournament.

you spot rin talking with some of his friends and teammates. rin was finally playing with his older brother again and you couldn't be more proud.

"rin! congratulations on the match today" you waved. rin momentarily looks around for the voice that called out his name. he makes eye contact with you and offers a shy smile. his other teammates, isagi and bachira, as you recall from their jerseys, start to tease him.

you watch as the 3 freshmen leave your line of sight before turning your attention back to the now scowling sae.

"what's wrong?" you ask, helping him wipe the sweat off his face. sae simply grumbles and mumbles a quick "nothing" before finishing up. you raise an eyebrow but shrugged nevertheless. 'he's probably tired' you think to yourself but that's just probably not the case

you two were now on your way home. sae drops by a mcdonalds to get you guys some dinner.

"you guys did great today" you compliment your boyfriend. you two were parked at the parking lot eating your dinner. "you think so?" sae raises his brow at you, munching on his big mac.

you watched as some of the ketchup got to the corner of his mouth. with a laugh, you reached over and wiped it off his mouth before licking it off your thumb.

"of course! especially when both itoshis dominated the field. talk about one hell of a team" you coo, pinching his cheeks. sae's smile slowly disappears at the slightest mention of his brother. picking up on sae's change of mood, you decided to ask him what was wrong

"what is it this time, sae?" you ask, finishing the remains of your food. sae doesn't answer and stares at the steering wheel with you guessed it! a scowl on his face

this was the second time tonight that sae acted weird whenever you mention his little brother, rin. i mean, there was no denying that rin also had the same amount of talent in soccer just like his older brother, but why is sae acting like this when it came to rin?

"is it because of rin?"

sae has never turned his head faster than the speed of light. you can see a pout forming on his lips. that has turned into a frown the longer you stare at him with an amused look on your face

"okay, okay! i'm sorry for complimenting rin" you giggled, unable to contain your amusement much longer. you don't even know why you're laughing. maybe because it was rare to see sae get all worked up

"if you like him so much then why won't you be with him then?" sae rolls his eyes, barely sparing you a glance. your eyes widened at his blunt comment, which only made you double over laughing

sae is now visibly annoyed by the way his shoulders have stiffened and his face was cold as stone.

"sae, i'm sorry" you drag, tugging on his arm to make him look at you. he shakes you off which only made you laugh harder.

"okay, fine! i won't compliment rin anymore" you pause, catching your breath. "i'll only compliment itoshi sae, the school's pride" you grin, reaching over to give him a peck on the cheek

sae bites his lip to contain a smug smile but fails. he nods his head.
