Detail of the Gate of the monastery of Geghard, in Armenia (Built in the 4th century) It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. . According to Armenian historians of the 4th, 8th and 10th centuries the monastery comprised, apart from religious buildings, well-appointed residential and service installations. Geghard Monastery suffered greatly in 923 from Nasr, a vice-regent of an Arabian caliph in Armenia, who plundered its valuable property, including unique manuscripts, and burned down the magnificent structures of the monastery.

This is at the Venice House by architect Noah Walker. One of my favourite moments when we used veneers from one single walnut tree. There are many interesting details on this work. If I remember, it was in 2016 when Dwell made a tour for this house. Զարգացած միջնադարի հայկական ճարտարապետություն Պռոշաբերդ (13-րդ դար) Պռոշյան իշխանները հայտնի էին ամրոցաշինությամբ։ Նրանք Վայոց ձորի տարածքում կառուցում են ևս մեկ ամրոց՝ Պռոշաբերդը։ Դա իշխանանիստ ամրոց էր, որը գտնվում էր լեռնագագաթին և զբաղեցնում էր 1-1,5 հա տարածություն։ Այստեղ կառուցվել է բազալտե ամուր պարիսպ, և ջրմուղ՝ խողովակաշարով։ Բերդի զինանոցները, զորանոցներն ու իշխանական պալատը ավերվել են՝ թաղվել հողի շերտի տակ։ Կանգուն են միայն պարիսպները և մատուռը։ Դրանից ոչ հեռու Սպիտակավոր սուրբ Աստվածածին վանքն է։

Since there isn't much sexiness to this project yet (it's about cramming as much square footage into the site as possible) I tried to draw it with some sexiness. (Where there's a will there's a way?) This is a feasibility study for a four unit apartment building in LA on a 50' by 140'' lot. The unit on the right is shifted to satisfy the shack requirement while utilizing the existing driveway.
