in 2018 I went to jail for drug use. it was a unique case because they were after my dealer/bf's uncle, not me, and they assumed I'd be privy to special information being a family friend (I wasnt) so I was charged with but not convicted of several things that are not fucking illegal, such as using my phone to call the guy, and for being a known drug user (NOT possession, just that the detectives knew factually that I was an addict).

AFTER I WAS RELEASED on unsecured bail, I received a message ON FACEBOOK MESSENGER from the DA/someone in his office using an account with his name informing me that a warrant had been issued for the collection of ALL my Facebook messages I had ever sent, to anyone, January of that year (before I ever even met the guy they were after) and that they had already gone through those messages. so, again, AFTER the warrant was issued and AFTER my messages had been gone through and AFTER I had been arrested & sat in jail for almost a month, AFTER I had been released at my arraignment, I was informed (**on facebook** which is so not fucking legal) that the warrant even existed. the fact that I was even informed about it at all felt like a courtesy vs policy which is wrong on so many levels.

PSA: never discuss private affairs in your DMs, especially contraception and abortion. Social media moguls will absolutely sell you out to the government. There are already cases of people being charged based on evidence in their DMs.

Colt infodump, random facts n stuff.

Trigger/Content Warnings: Shootings, suicide, self-harm, child neglect/abuse, homophobia, and antisemitism

-The gun used at Appalache was a SIG Sauer M400 rifle with a red laser sight. It was obtained from a shop called Mike’s Gun Room on November 17th, 2023.

-Colt planned to wear a hat and a vest during the shooting, similar to Adam, but did not.

-Colt was called nicknames by his family; his mom called him ‘Coltie’, his dad called him ‘Bubba’. He called his grandma ‘Mamoo’.

-Colt did plan to kill himself after killing 21-26 people.

-Colts siblings names are Coley and Jenni. Jenni is a year younger than him and enrolled in a middle school that went into lockdown during the shooting. You can see baby announcement photos for Coley in my archive.

-Colt often asked his grandmother if she thought he mom would ever kill him. She threated to before and often ignored Colt when talking about her children, referring to them as “her 2 babies”. She only had custody of Coley and Jenni.

-I rarely see it mentioned, but Colt wasn’t solely transphobic. He also sent antisemetic messages and was encouraged by a user to shoot up a synagogue instead. His originial reasoning for the shooting was to target “lgbtq” people.

-Colt put on a pair of yellow plastic gloves before taking out his gun. They may be in the video from after the attack but its too pixelated to tell.

-Employees at Appalache had wireless panic buttons in their ID badges. Multiple were pressed during the shooting.

-In addition, there were so many 911 calls made during the shooting that they began going to an automated voice message saying they were overwhelmed with calls.

-Colt started resisting arrest only after he was handcuffed. One of the officers, Boyd, said he started panicking and swearing.

-Colin admitted he knew Colt was cutting himself during his hearing. There were “injuries” on his left arm observed on the day of the shooting consistent with self harm. There was a photo taken of them but it has not been released.

-In a short recording from the shooting you can hear the officers yell at him to get on his stomach and “Stop fucking moving”. You can not hear Colt speak during it because students are whispering too loud.

-Colt attended school for 11 days before the shooting. He enrolled on August 14th and missed 9 days before the 4th of September.

-Colt had a guitar he kept next to his rifle in his bedroom.

His Belongings:

-The posters seen on his walls are of a gaming YouTuber and streamer Dellor and Korn member Brian Welch.

-The gray camo bucket hat he’s seen wearing is by the brand ‘Mission’. They no longer sell them but you can find them on Ebay brand new.

-His mouse is a Razer DeathAdder, though I can’t pinpoint which version. His monitor looks like an Acer SH242Y. I lost my mind trying to find his keyboard so don’t do it to yourself.

-His jacket in the hunting video seems to be this jacket by Mossy Oak. I couldn’t find his hat.

Gerry accusing me of "lumping them in as pro genocide" in response to a comment in which I specifically state I do not see them that way. How else am I supposed to read them NOW, though? Because I defined that as "someone who thinks kids deserve bombs dropped on them," and Gerry's response is "how dare you say that about me......???????" What?? Not once do they ever simply say "no one deserves their town to be bombed" or anything like that. They absolutely refuse, because they do in fact believe that it's okay to bomb a whole community if some of that community might hypothetically be "hamas." They do in fact think it's acceptable that people who never hurt anyone else should die that way for some sort of greater good, or that only hamas can be blamed for those deaths by "forcing the hand" of the ones with those bombs.

I think the r/limbuscompany situation is so hilarious.

So, the mods create a poll one day. Basically saying "we think that the sub is too horny. we're gonna hold a vote. you can choose to either have us make the NSFW rules stricter, or keep them the same"

Before this point, the rule was just "NSFW will be banned if its hornier than stuff in the game" But apparently, too many people were reporting relatively innocent posts for being NSFW, so the mods wanted to "make it easier" by just automatically banning anything in that gray area.

75% of the voters chose to keep the rules the same. And the mods totally and definitely respected their decision and NAH I'M JUST KIDDING THEY MADE THE RULES STRICTER ANYWAY

They said "we're gonna test out the stricter rules for a month" and, in my opinion, this was a ploy to make people not get so pissed about it.

People were pissed about it. People started clowning on the mods and all that. And a few things happened.

First, posts started getting auto-removed left and right because of some new automod report threshold system. Obviously, not good.

And then, someone posted This Art of Angela eating corn (originally drawn by one chitoitsu7) and got banned from both r/limbuscompany and r/theodysseyhadapurpose (the limbus shitposting sub with the same mods)

And not only that, but all their comments and posts from both subs were completely purged.

This Meme was also posted. I think it may have been posted by the same user as the one who put the corn art onto the sub, but if not, it was also posted by someone who had their account banned from both subs due to it.

At this point, people are fucking pissed. Everyone is mad. Even the people who were defending the mods over the NSFW decision were like "okay but now they have both not listened to us and started banning people who disagree with them"

And then, the person who posted the Angela Corn art got this message.

Now I don't have time to go through all the archived posts and comments by this person and point out how few-to-no examples there are of them "stirring the pot" but its safe to say that they broke no rules. At least, not enough to justify an IMMEDIATE permaban from both the sub in question and a different sub. Even the inciting art, the Angela Corn art, is not NSFW in any conceivable way unless you're either a complete degenerate or a top-tier puritan.

Everyone is mad. This message, which sounds like it was written by a 14 year old who watches too much anime and not like a simple and clear ban explanation by an experienced moderator, has been turned into one of the biggest copypastas in the Reddit Limbus community.

Where are we now? Apparently, the mods are going to make a statement soon. It seems like they may have been gaming too much and not noticed the sub bursting into flames for the past half day. Either that or the rogue mod(s?) were just too convincing about everything being fine. Either way, we'll have to wait and see.

hey this isn’t aimed at anyone in particular but I’m saying it for the record here: if I tell you no, please stop messaging me about fundraisers and mutual aid.

I get enough messages that it’s impossible for me to keep up without devoting at least half an hour each day, when I’m not even on tumblr that long most days. Me having a boundary about this isn’t a moral failing, it’s a lifeboat for me on my own blog.

In my personal life I’m already advocating and donating literally as much as I can spare. This is not me not caring, it’s just me not willing to interact with that on the one place I go online to not interact with irl news and world events for the most part.

I cannot be upset all the time. I cannot be upset everywhere. I cannot use all my emotional and mental energy fielding my own upset from ongoing events. My options are to hold boundaries about this or stop coming online at all.

I’m all for sharing information and signal boosting to reasonable extents, but the scale of it this year is so large and so enduring that it is literally not possible to for me to participate on every account I have. There are many, many people choosing to do advocacy work, and right now, I can’t be one of them.

If you’re extremely upset when I tell you I can’t share/donate right now about a Gaza family or personal fundraiser you ask me to share here, just unfollow and block me. That’s what those buttons are for. Protect your own emotions and energy and get me off your feed instead of staying upset and continuing to engage with online people or content that upsets you.
