Best to ease Selene’s precious mind. Tenma had to keep her innocence, even from the problems of this work. The world was meant to be a happy place.. and she deserved to have such a happy perspective.

But hey, the subject took quite a sharp turn into something else, with the subject now on Bowen and Ama.. or rather, their union… their marriage. Yeah, of course that would make him blush too.

“Ah, of course! I’ve been hoping you and I could have some time to sort it all out together.” He replied, his smile turning shy. “I’ve… I’ve had a few thoughts about how to have it too..”

Clean up the mess, maybe one day take the crown if such a mess was becoming too much, who knows? Ahhh, wishful thinking maybe. He moved so Proserpina could reach the basket easier. “Mmm, you know I love our ‘excitement’, baby.”

“W-well... dad said he’d... like us to starting writing down our plans, & making the guest list for the invitations.” Ama started blushing deeply, the thought of having to start planning for a wedding was a bit embarrassing. Though they’ve been arranged to marry for years, she never thought she would actually be getting married one day.

“Obviously, ufuf~” Well, that was the original idea, wasn’t it? As much as Proserpina loved her sister, she didn’t think she’d be able to handle that mess that was going to be dumped on her, should she take the crown like was expected of her. Which is why these two had to plan to be in that position to fix it themselves.

After spending some time training with Bowen, Tenma go nap.

“....”

Seeing an utterly exhausted looking Tenma, there a Hope that goes & fetches a blanket, carefully covering him with it as he sleeps. She hopes that makes him more comfortable.

It was quite the coup, how this was stage, but it was a good chance for the city to branch out and show off it’s ‘spookier’ side. The whole city in itself was decked out in dark decoration, but the bulk of it had been set up in the Lobarr Botanic Gardens, the centrepiece for the festival. The stalls, the haunted house, the games, oh it was going to be a fun evening alright.

Watching the setup of the stage was exciting in itself, and soon a few familiar males were coming into view, all decked out in the same attire. One could be forgiven for thinking such was like a police uniform from another country. In fact, they were ex tram-uniforms, though the tunics were pretty similar. All were wearing them unbuttoned, without ties.

“So.. why are we dressed like this?”

“Just to get the feel for them. I know our thingo is still two months away, but it’s good to get used to these while we can.. plus it fits with the theme of tonight, y'know? Never know, might have an early opportunity.”

“…I guess.”

“You said the girls would be here, right?”

“Oh yeah! They have to be! This is their festival, after all.”

Oh, right, in this future the boys themselves have no beef with one another. Peace kind of works like that.

I was different from normal, not just because of the decor, but because of the thought of things being peaceful between people who normally argue & fight with each other. And together for a holiday of all things... maybe that was the results of the woman they fell in love with... a long lost group of triplets.

Speaking of those long lost triplets... there appeared to be a pair of people sneaking up on the boys....

And subsequently, each of them jumping onto their respective boyfriend’s shoulders.

Yep, there was no need to say anything more on the matter, from either of them. Ama couldn’t talk about her work and Bowen couldn’t talk about his.. or Tenma for that matter. Just enjoy the peace and quiet.. and especially the togetherness! That’s what’s most important here.

“Clearly, considering what’s happening, what time is there to be bored.” Well, if her dad wasn’t smart enough to think about those sorts of things, then it really must be out of laziness.. and of course with that the smart ones would come to clean up the mess that was left behind.

And clearly, if they couldn’t talk about something, then they weren’t going to try & pry. ... Or, at least, Ama wasn’t going to, Selene just seemed more confused then anything.

“Oh! I almost forgot!” Amaterasu’s head snapped up then, though with s blush going on her face, as a thought returned to her head. “My father has been asking... have you... ah... thought about arrangements for... our... union yet...?”

Clean up the mess indeed, including the walking, living mess that wore a crown on it’s head. Proserpina started to reach behind Oni’s seat, reaching for the little basket she had brought with snacks in them. “Maybe we should bring our own excitement then?”

Technically, it was staying in Motia… but Bowen understood what she meant. “I feel like this is reminding me of what I was working on a few weeks ago. You remember that right, Tenma? That one job we were asked to do?”

“Oh.. that one, yeah…” The black haired one replied. It seemed there was a lot of tight-lipped business going on in many places.

“Mm, daddy might be favouring her.. or maybe he knows what’s up.” Sometimes people had this intuition that things might take a certain turn if they don’t do something about it. Oni was thinking maybe the King was particularly trying to ensure Ama was doing a good job.. lest someone overtake her. But then again it could be for goofing off, who knows. “Interesting times, I gotta admit.”

“... Huh? What job...?”

“Nothing, Selene. Just eat you cake.” Selene clearly didn’t seem to get it, but Ama knew that the boys couldn’t talk about it with them, just like Ama couldn’t talk about her work with them. Indeed, a string of shady things seem to be happening lately, though she doesn’t know why.

“Things certainly aren’t boring anymore, that’s for sure.” Proserpina didn’t think he dad was smart enough to have any sort of intuition about anything. If things weren’t so peaceful during his reign, she could imagine his lazy arse would have been thrown off the throne long ago.

“Heh, that is true!” Bowen commented as his smile shined brightly. “Paperwork might be boring, but you gotta admit it’s a lot safer.” He was enjoying a slice of chocolate cake.

“The views can be nice, but I’d rather the peaceful life too.” Tenma mused.

“Wonder what’s been going on these days to warrant all this new work.” The blonde then spoke up again, out of curiosity. At least Ama was having help with it though.

…That was interesting to hear. “I wonder… I wonder..” Maybe her father is desperate to try and help Ama improve… for many a reason. “Your spotlight might be growing if you’re being approached to help her out.”

“Oh, I know why... but I’m not allow to talk about it. Dad says Motia business needs to stay in Motia.” Ama stated nervously. “I’m sorry I can’t speak with you guys about it, but my father is king, I have to listen to his word.” Ama was a loyal daughter, after all. The word of her father was one of the most important things to her.

“I’ve always had a bit of spotlight, not always the best though.” It could be that the king was trying to make Ama improve herself, or her was shove all his work onto her, so he had more time to goof off. “If she can’t handle it on her own, I don’t know how she’ll handle it if she’s allow to take a seat on of throne.”

Food was the perfect distraction, from so many things, this being one of them. How adorable seeing the cute princess enjoying her shortcake. Tenma always wanted to see Selene happy indeed.

Just as Bowen loved seeing Ama happy too, enjoying her fruit tart. He was more into chocolate things himself, eyes closed as he savouried his own treat. The tea would go down well too, so relaxing for a day like this.

“Mmm, what could be better?” Oni remarked with a bit of a laugh, as he held her closely. “I wanna stay here for as long as the sun shines.. and beyond that.”

Selene was one of those people that everyone loved to see happy, like the sweet & innocent angel she was, who made everyone around her happy.

“So, how is everything at home? It’s been a long time since you both came to visit Motia.” A curious Ama inquired the two men sitting with her, as she slid a cup of tea to them both.

Proserpina just chuckled, enjoying Oni’s hold of her. “Well, there’s more then one reason to stay in here for as long as possible.” After all, being on a boat going down the river was quite a private for them... & they had certain private things to speak about. “Isn’t there?”

Oh yeah, you want to keep that purity for as long as possible. One deserved to have such peace and fun, in such a peaceful world.

“Mmm! Yes, let’s eat!”

“I’m starving, can’t wait!”

One by one they would each reach for a cake to try, no doubt of course they would all be delicious. __

Whether it be for now or all day, there was always such innocence to be found.

“Mmm, we managed to get it all to ourselves. Means we can have a perfect day together~” He cooed.

If there was one thing that always distracted Selene, food was definitely it. As the excited tiny princess took a piece of strawberry shortcake & a fork to eat with. The little girl’s face lighting up with delight at the first bite of the sweet treat.

Ama seemed happy picking out a fruit tart from the food tray, however, she wasn’t incredibly obsessed with sweets like Selene. She also seemed to begin pouring a few cups of tea for the others, so they could have something to wash the sweet flavors down.

“I sunk a few treats for us too, the box should be behind your seat.” Proserpina muttered up a giggle, shuffling around in her seat, so she could lean against the brunette man beside her. “So, we could stay out here for as long as we like~”

It seemed the only person out of the four who did not quite get it was Selene. Bless her pure heart. Even Tenma got it.. and he wasn’t going to be telling Selene any time soon.

But you know what they say, the reality can sometimes be quite different to typical perceptions. Sometimes the reality itself can be quite innocent in nature, even if it was just in this moment.

I don’t think anybody would be telling Selene anytime soon. She was better off left in the dark, to spare her innocence for however longer she was going to have it.

“A-ah.... Well! There’s no point in sitting around waiting for someone who’s never coming, why we eat?”

“Yay! Cake!” And thankfully, Amaterasu was able to pull the littler princess’s attention back to the food on the table. Prompting Selene to reach for one of the small cakes.

The reality can sometimes be quite innocent indeed, though not completely innocent, as one can sometimes find out.

“See? This wasn’t such a bad idea, now was it~?”

“Who said it was a joke? I’m stating the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, your honour!” The blonde then added, with another laugh.

“Of course, of course.” Tenma then chimed in, as the males would sit, next to their respective loved ones. What a day, spending it like this, together, with such wonderful food under such a wonderful sky.

“................................”

“... Geh.... You loser....” Poor thing, the blonde’s actions just seemed to make Amaterasu flustered, as she sat down next to him. Why did she have to be with such a goofball?

“Ooh?” The little one, Selene, however, seemed to be looking around expectedly. “... Where is Proserpina? Isn’t she coming too?”

“Well... no, exactly. You know, Proserpina, she prefers... uh... alone time with her partner....”

...

“... I think she said something about planning to go out on the gondola with him previously anyway. So, it’s better to leave them be....”
