"I bet— you know how Peaky Blinders was formed and…after all the time you've worked for us, I bet you know all too well our dynamics and how we deal with things" Tommy started, eyeing her up and down, humming as she nodded to let him continue

"There have been... issues within the Peaky Blinders. We heard word that there may be traitors among us, some who wish to undermine us and cut off our roots— I never thought we'd have moles within our ranks, but it seems there are always a few bad apples and I will see to it personally to weed them out" he continued, his eyes staring intently at Y/n who was looking back at him, listening at every word he was saying

"After all....family is important, and it is what we are built on. Family means everything, eh".

Thomas words kept swirling inside of Y/n's head, she knew that she was hiding something and she had this bad feeling that kept telling her than Thomas knew it too, she didn't had proofs so she had to keep her act going and don't break under his icy stare.

"I'm not sure why you are talking with me about this, Mr Shelby" Y/n replied, watching him blow out the smoke from his nostrils before replying with a teasing smirk on his handsome face

"why not?" he simply said, getting carefully up to be able to stand now in front of his desk and lean against it, his eyes never leaving her.

Tommy could clearly see the tension in her body, which betrayed her for a split moment, before she managed to hide it behind her mask again, her jaw tightly closed.

When he opened his mouth again, his tone was low, almost teasing but still firm and dominant

"Is there something you want to tell me, luv. Perhaps something you've been keeping from me? Or maybe you are indeed as innocent as you seem, eh?" the gangster murmured the last part as he approached her sitting form, allowing his hand to grip her chin softly, stroking in slow motions her skin

"I don't know what you're talking about, sir—" Y/n quickly replied, playing dumb, making Tommy smirk, a hint of amusement in his icy cold eyes.

He moved slowly away, circling her as if he was a predator and she was his prey, his hands caressing the fabric of the chair Y/n was sitting on

"Your eyes betray you, luv" he simply said, causing a reaction out of Y/n who was more than aware of her leak of ability of hiding her emotion from her eyes.

She quickly got up, attempting to leave the room after whispering under her breath "Fuck—" Thomas reflects where faster though, his rough hand grabbed her shoulder pulling her in a sitting position again, there wasn't anger in his eyes but more like amusement.

Not that Y/n could know since he was standing behind her.

"Where do you think you're going?" his voice brushed her ear shell, making her body go still in fear

"Mr Shelby—" she tried, her heart beating fast against her chest, if there was someone she didn't want to face it was Thomas Shelby.

His grip on her shoulder tightened a bit, making her flinch, his breath was warm against the back of her neck and his voice got lower sending shivers down her spine

"Let me ask you a question, luv...Are you my little problem? The bad apple I need to take care of?" he asked softly, knowing already the answer for his question, which didn't came since Y/n was too afraid to say it out loud, fearing the consequences of her actions.

We rode past the fences and up through the mountains. The stars were above our heads since it was the middle of the night and everyone else was asleep. Normally we would spend the night with cooked dinner by the fireplace. Half the time we would sneak around so his kids didn't find out about us. John dismounted his horse holding his hat down on his head with his hand. He comes over helping me off my horse where I tilted my head seeing there was a small fire going, two chairs, and a tent pitched up. “John, what’s all this for?”

“Since we normally ate dinner at my house. I thought I should change the scenery for our date.” He explained to me slowly walking down to the fire with me at his side. He sat down removing his black hat from his head.

I sat down hugging my knees to my chest smiling at him. “Well I have absolutely no problem with this. It’s actually cute and reminds me of camping.”

“My family does call this the summer camp actually. I thought it was time you got to see it for the weekend.” He replied, turning his attention back to the burning fire in front of us.

John opened us each a beer and there was a comfortable silence that fell between us. It was rare that we got to spend time together given that his ranch was everything to him. Raising the bottle to my mouth I had almost drunk half the bottle before I felt John drape his arm over my shoulder. He turned his head slightly so we were looking the other in the eye. “I don’t think I could be happier anywhere else. You’re all I need Y/n.”

“I feel the same about you, John.” I smiled, leaning forward and kissing him slowly. He leans forward moving one hand to cradle my cheek deepening the kiss enjoying the other's company until we heard someone coming in our direction where we seperated from one another.

Three horses came to a halting stop and two flashlights were pointed at us. Blinking my eyes I could recognize Rip since I had seen him working late at night when I would sneak out of John’s house to go home. “There you are, sir.”

“Daddy, what the hell are you doing out here with a random girl. Are you trying to replace our mother?” The blonde female that I had to assume was Beth scolded.

Kayce dismounted his horse standing right beside it lowering his flashlight towards the ground. “Beth, don’t jump to the point of wanting to rip her head off.”

“What the hell are you all doing here?” John questions sitting his beer bottle down and I could hear the anger in her voice by the fact that they were here right now.

Rip nodded towards his boss. “I’m sorry for the interruption, sir. But I saw some missing horses when I went to close up the barn and then these two we’re getting worried when you didn’t answer your cell.”

Running a hand through my hair I sighed laying on my back on the blankets. I couldn’t believe that they were freaking out about us and even more so that we had now been found out. “I can’t believe this is happening…” Beth glared at me still sitting on her horse like she was about to hurt me.

“I am a grown man with what I thought were fully grown children. I can take care of myself so what made you think that you needed to start panicking about me?” John said back to them.

I glanced over to John out of the corner of my eye nervously rubbing the back of my neck. “I guess we should have expected this after we’ve been hiding this secret for so long.”

“You mean the secret that you have been sleeping with my father which is making me now want to kick your ass!” Beth dismounted her horse stomping up to my direction with her hands turned into fists.

I slowly got to my feet, not sure when she was going to start a fight with me. “Beth, look I am not sleeping with your father. Yes, we are dating. But I swear that is it, nothing else.”

“Now I’m the bitch about to attack you like a bear.” She growled at me.

Rip moved forward wrapping his arms around her and holding her back from attacking me. She grunted against him while Kayce shrugged his shoulders looking at me. “I’m sorry for my sister. She can be a little overprotective of anyone in our family.”

“Alright now that you see I am alive and not in danger can you all leave me alone until tomorrow evening. I have been planning this date for a few weeks now and I don’t want you ruining it please.” John got up to his feet standing in front of his children and led ranch hand.

Rip tipped his hat to him climbing back on his horse. “I’ll see you tomorrow, sir. You have a good night, you two.”

“Be safe you two.” Kayce nodded his head kicking his horse and he rode away with Rip into the dark and I knew both of them were waiting for Beth before they would leave us alone.

Beth still glared at me waving her finger in a warning tone climbing back up onto her horse going to meet the boys down the hill. “If she hurts you I will make her pay in ways she’s never thought of in her life. Mark my words!”

“I’m sorry about all the drama tonight. I had no clue they would come looking for me. I hope I didn’t make the date go down too badly.” John came back and sat down resting his hands on his knees giving me a half smile where I could tell he was nervous now.

Snuggling up against his side I wrapped my arms around him whispering in his ear just focusing my attention on the beautiful stars above our heads since nothing else mattered, just the two of us. “They didn’t ruin it, John. Nobody could ruin this as long as you’re here with me cause I am falling in love with you.”

“I’m relieved, Y/n. Because I am falling in love with you too.” He smiled longingly down at me, cradling my face in his hand kissing me. He used his other hand placing his cowboy hat on my head and that was how we spent our evening together.

Ranking the Bridgerton books:

1. The Viscount Who Loved Me - 4 ⭐️. Kate and Anthony’s book is number 1 because the characters were true to themselves throughout the book, I understood their motives and that made them amazing characters to follow as they fall in love with each other. It’s a great rivals to lovers, and seeing their love grow is beautiful. It made me giddy with happiness, kick my feet, cringe and made me almost cry. The angsty first time sex scene was everything I needed it to be. Season 2 was amazing, and the book is almost better!!

2. ⁠When He Was Wicked - 4⭐️. Side note before I get into it: I loved Micheal’s familial relationships in this book, as he grew up with his mother and Johns mother as parental figures, and I consider those two lesbian icons.

I loved reading Francesca and Micheal’s story. When you meet them before their story begins in earnest you see their friendship, and they immediately jumped out of the page as two people who have a fun and interesting connection as friends and ‘cousins/ family’ (they’re not actually cousins, Micheal is John’s cousin). When you meet them four years after John’s death, they have to work to become friends again. In the midst of that you see that Micheal respects Francesca as the countess of Kilmartin as he left her in charge as he left England for four years. Because Michael and Francesca are technically family (Micheal becomes the new Earl of Kilmartin when John dies) and share some residencies the lack of propriety is expected so they are alone together. It brings them together and it lets them do wicked and sexy acts to each other, especially when the story moves to Scotland and they are alone together in the Scottish country-side ( and Francesca’s been married, the power dynamics in the bedroom were 🥵🥵❤️❤️). It was beautiful to see Francesca experience love and desire after loss, and after expecting to get married again just to produce a child (and also keep the Kilmartin name and estates she’s run for years, and her connection with Micheal and John).

3. ⁠ It’s in His Kiss - 4⭐️. Hyacinth and Gareth are the most well matched characters in the series. Hyacinth is such a riot and never shuts up and Gareth is her match. The banter between them is amazing. Hyacinth and Gareth have a shared goal in the book which makes it interesting and gets them into all kinds of trouble. As Hyacinth is a person who knows who she is, that also translated to the best first kiss and first time, as she was taking as much control as she could. There is some dodgy lines of consent in this series, and I appreciated the full and out loud consent Hyacinth gave at all steps. They’re great characters to read about, and Lady Danbury plays a prominent role which is so much fun.

4. ⁠Romancing Mr Bridgerton - 4⭐️. Colin and Penelope’s story ranks fourth because Colin is one of the worst men in this series, with his anger and resentment and hurt he causes Penelope both emotionally and physically were hard to read. I love Penelope in the book, 28 year old her is quietly confident and has some of the best lines of the whole series. This book also highlighted friendship, between Pen and Lady Danbury, Pen and the Bridgertons especially Eloise and Hyacinth and Pen and Colin. I also appreciate this book as the Lady Whistledown plot running parallel to the love story gave it intrigue and drama, and made up for the fact that the romance was very middle of the road.

5. ⁠To Sir Phillip, With Love - 3⭐️. I was nervous about reading Eloise and Phillip’s love story because I had heard bad things about it, but it was fine. Phillip is a bad man, but all the men are in this series. I appreciated that Phillip knew he was bad and wanted to change himself and started to make changes in the small amount of time we had with him in the book, I respected his growth. Eloise is great, of course, speaks her mind, is talkative and interesting. I don’t think they are the most well matched couple but I had an enjoyable time reading the book and I think when they did communicate it did work. Phillips kids from his first marriage are a riot and very well written as children in my opinion. I do read Eloise as queer in the books, she literally runs away from home to a guy she’s never met because Penelope, her bestie she was planning to grow old together as a spinster, got married.

Side note: Penelope, Eloise and Francesca (to Micheal) get married in the same year and month in the books, poor Violet.

6. ⁠On the Way to the Wedding - 3⭐️. Gregory and Lucy had an interesting story (there was action, twists and turns, guns, blackmail, a gay character), but I don’t think they are well matched. Gregory believes so much about true love after watching the rest of his family marry for love, and Lucy values looking after her family and order. They didn’t convince me they were meant to be, they clearly loved each other but was it enough? I was definitely getting jaded near the end of reading the series. And I kept thinking that Lucy is like 17 (she’s the youngest of all the wives by a few years) and Gregory is 26, their age gap really took me out of the story.

7. ⁠The Duke and I - 2.5⭐️. Just watch season 1, the book is almost the same with a little less characterisation and less exciting and beautiful sets and costumes. I respected Simon’s hold on his values, but it definitely conflicted with Daphne’s. I wanted to smash their heads together to communicate. As with the show, the best part is when they are fake courting.

8. ⁠An Offer from a Gentleman - 1.5⭐️

Benedict and Sophie’s story ended up being my least favourite. I actually think Benedict and Sophie are well matched, but some of the things in this book really annoyed me. Benedict is the worst Bridgerton man/ sibling because of inexcusable actions he made in this book. I respected and enjoyed Sophie until she did something totally and completely out of character and then I stopped respecting her. My favourite part was when they met, my least favourite part was almost everything else.

Ok, I’m not sure, if it has been done before, but here’s the idea of a great crossover/AU:

Star Trek + Jeeves & Wooster (specifically the 1990s show adaptation with Hugh Laurie & Stephen Fry). My family is rewatching it btw, that’s how I came up with it.

So, Kirk being a Wooster, and Spock being Jeeves. (The show is low key underrated I am afraid).

But anyway, here’s the reasons why this crossover would work:

The dynamic: Wooster is a golden retriever type of guy: friendly, exited, extroverted, Jeeves is the black cat type of guy: chill & calm. They balance each other out.

Wooster would always end up in trouble. Jeeves is there to save him. W/o Jeeves who knows where Wooster would be. Kirk is keen to get in trouble, but Spock is there.

Jeeves is much smarter then Wooster, but still wants to participate in Wooster’s shenanigans and would give amazing advice, and doesn’t judge (he only judges Wooster’s fashion choices). Wooster on the other hand is very openly in awe of Jeeves’ intellect and abilities. Although Kirk is a very smart (actually nerdy) man, he’s still in the constant awe of Spock and his intellect.

Jeeves literally knows everything, so does Spock usually.

Wooster can’t maintain a relationship. Also because he doesn’t want to lose Jeeves, who’s not only his valet, but actually a bestie, and he wants to live with him in his house forever. Kirk also can’t maintain romantic relationships, although unwillingly mostly and/or these relationships end up in tragedy. But hey, he’s there to risk it all for Spock. You can draw your own conclusions here.

Both, Jeeves and Wooster are kind and emphatic people. Wooster has a strong moral code, is respectful towards people of all classes and sexes. Well, Wooster would get himself in trouble, because he wants to help everybody who asks while Jeeves would act… Logically. Kirk would also find himself in a similar position and also has a strong moral code, sense of justice, is a feminist, etc.

Jeeves is introverted. He likes to spend time on books, studying something, and also is quite mysterious about his personal life (he was also randomly engaged and didn’t say a word about it. Then he broke up and never brought it up again. Spock also was quite randomly engaged and didn’t bother to mention it). It does remind you of Spock.

Jeeves is very well about fashion. Well, fashion is his obsession. He’ll judge you openly. Have you seen Spock’s outfits? Just give him a chance to not wear his uniform, and he’ll serve.

Both Jeeves & Spock showcase autistic traits.

Wooster is very enthusiastic about Jeeves immediately. Jeeves initially is there just to do his job. Wooster’s openness resulted in him and Jeeves becoming close. And still Jeeves calls Wooster “sir”. Although the master & servant dynamic ended up being almost non existent. Kirk’s willingness to be open with his sympathies towards Spock resulted in them becoming t’hy’la.

• BUT Kirk unlike Wooster is not naive and is highly intelligent (Wooster isn’t stupid but isn’t very smart either). Which in fanfics can create even more interesting and deep dynamic. But the concept is there, I think…

And, we already know how good Spock and Kirk look in 1920s/1930s clothes:

Unknown Ep 8 Stray Thoughts

Last time, Wei Qian sent Yuan away to study in NYC for years after the reveal about Yuan’s feelings. Wei Qian was unable to face Yuan or his feelings, and has been avoiding him for four to five years, even as he’s meticulously kept Yuan’s room clean. It’s clear he misses him, and literally leaves Yuan’s lamp on like he’s burning a candle for him. Wei Qian may not know how to sort the complex feelings in play here, but it’s clear that his brother is important to him, and he’s not doing well without him around. Yuan, for his part, continues to message Wei Qian, completed his schooling, and seemed to maintain his connections with the rest of their family. Meanwhile, Xiao Bao has grown into her role as a model and is now the subject of paparazzi speculation. Also, it seems like San Pang may have feelings for her. We left at Xiao Yuan returning and Wei Qian smiling to himself in relief to hear his siblings bickering in the house again.

“Seen enough?” He came back confident. It’s over.

Episode 8: The distance between us and love

Okay, big fan of Yuan not doting on Wei Qian at the table, and Wei Qian being awkward about it.

I really like San Pang as a character. He has no idea how to navigate the awkwardness he stirred up, and seems even more worried when Yuan thanks him for putting him through this separation.

That smile before removing his glasses and grabbing a cleaver was great. Yuan grabbing food and leaning back on the couch to watch in the background seals the moment.

Resorting to fire is a very worrisome sign.

“Good night, Wei Qian,” after pointed commentary about accepting changes as people grow and mature. I see you, sir.

Pairing San Pang and Wei Li Li is a useful way of continuing the exploration about the changes in a formerly caregiver role in a relationship. San Pang is also like an uncle or close cousin figure in this dynamic.

Yuan became a menace while he was in the US. I must know what gays adopted him.

This show is incredibly impressive. It is so assured about every choice it makes. I am particularly resistant to these themes, and even I am taken with the execution here. It’s not skipping the important things we need to tear into if we’re going to discuss a taboo romance.

i think that Claudia in tdp has an incredibly interesting character. I love the way she starts out as sweet and wholesome, the ideal love interest (in Callum's eyes, anyway) but then we see that cutesy personality contrasted with her dark magic, and her willingness to kill the creatures she coos over just to gain more power. I think it's really interesting, the way her father's ambition for power has been passed down to her, how she's been taught how to use any potential means she has to gain that end that they do desperately desire.

I like how, as the show progresses, and her motivation for using dark magic changes, the lengths she's willing to go to to help Viren dramatically increase, even bringing him back from the dead. She does it to save someone she cares about, the same way she tried to save Callum from the perceived threat before, and the same way Viren saved Soren from the illness. The whole family is willing to sacrifice everything for the people they love, especially Claudia, who admires her dad, and sees him as an almost omniscient figure in her life. When we're kids, we often see our parents as all-knowing beings, but Claudia never grew out of that stage, which is shown partially through her immaturity in her decision making, especially when Soren sees that what Viren is doing is wrong and decides to leave them.

As we get further along, Claudia looks to Viren for advice, and takes care of him when he can barely take care of himself, which might parallel her and Terry later (obviously different relationship dynamics, but the base action and the care behind it is shared) on in the show. Even when he gives up on himself, she doesn't give up on him. She's still mostly driven by love, despite her father's overwhelming lust for power. It shows that she's loyal to herself and her personality.

And when Viren makes peace with his death, she still refuses to let him go. She refuses to let him die after she sacrificed so much trying to save him, after trying to prove the extent of her love to him, and she kills sir sparklepuff for him. She kills her own half sibling for Viren, someone she named and took care of. This shows that she'd really do anything for Viren's approval, and that all she wants is to be good enough for him.

When Viren leaves to go back to Katolis, she's left wondering if she did anything wrong, if it could be her fault he left. Or maybe I'm just tired and forgetful and typing words at random and praying there coherent. Or both. She's left trying to figure out her place in the world, something even he hasn't figured out, and she just wants to know why. She doesn't understand why, after she saved his life, he'd leave her willingly to go and be imprisoned, and he offers her barely an explanation. He then leaves, trusting her to clean up the mess the two of them had made (arguably, it could've been just her, but he led her down that path) and he gets himself locked up. She has a strong moral code, despite her killing animals she finds cute every time she wants power. She wants to fulfil her promise to Aaravos, and she does. She releases him from the prison, in a beautiful parallel with Rayla and Callum saving Runaan.

Overall, Claudia is very interesting and this might not be legible because I'm sligjtly sleep deprived.

The Characters

Putting down the basic information's about the most important characters here. Everything from their full name, their ages and birthdays, sexual -identification and -orientation, family dynamics and relationships, to the titles and powers they have.

My rewrite will start on Earth in 2004, since that's when the first season aired.

One year on Magix is just as long as one year on Earth and Stella teleported herself there around the end of July but Alfea's school year doesn't start until about the 11th of September.

I'll list everyone's age at the time of September 1st 2004.

The Winx girls are around 18 years old in the beginning, as the three schools of Magix City are colleges. The boys are about to start their second year in Red Fountain and the Trix get in their third year in Cloud Tower.

Bloom Pietra

18 - brought to Gardenia on August 24th 1986, which she celebrates as her birthday actually born on December 10th 1985 nonbinary, bisexual (she/they) she was named Sera, daughter of Queen Marion, Priestess of the Hearth and King Consort, Sir Oritel - both from Domino. Younger sister of Princess Daphne who was the Nymph of Domino, but died at age 25, when Domino was cursed. Daphne saved Bloom's life by bringing her to Earth, where she grew up under the care of Vanessa and Mike Pietra, in Gardenia, Italy. They are amazingly supportive and loving parents. she considered Selina as her best friend, until she got into a relationship with Andy - Selina had confessed having romantic feelings for her, but Bloom couldn't return those. Andy and Bloom's relationship lasted for almost two years and ultimately ended in a big fight, resulting in her leaving their band (she played the drums). Bloom has fire magic and is the Keeper of the Dragon Flame, she will be a Fairy

Shining Princess Stella Luna-Ray of Solaria

19 - August 18th 1985 cis, pansexual (she/her) she is very close with her father, the Radius Cyrus, who is the King of Solaria. Rather distant with her mother, Lady Luna from Callisto. This two are so fuckin sus that at this point I actually think they are yet another red herring (at least Prom). But I'm not talking about their involvement in Nant's disappearence right now, I'm talking information and dynamics:

Prom works in Playboyy, Porche is in charge of Miracle Car Wash.

Prom is the older brother, Porche is the younger one. Yet, Porche is out here ordering around Prom like he is taking care of a child. Either he is truly the baddest bitch on this show or growing up Prom was not the most severe brother against Porche taking in account how family dynamics in Thailand tend to go... Porsche has some balls.

Now, Porche doesn't want Prom to work on Playboyy anymore. He even states that he must hand his resignation due to Nant be back, which makes Prom smile:

Prom is obviously happy about Nant's comeback but also about his job, he ain't bending down to his little brother's wishes.

Is Playboyy also one of their father's business? Would makes sense that you put your eldest in charge.

Porche is coming out to be quite the ambitious boy, managing Playboyy would be a much more profitable and exciting job that a fuckin carwash, but Prom gets more from his job in Playboyy than just being the maître and a possible host.

Porche comments about how meeting up with Nant again can screw them over... Why? Because of their relationship or because of the clips Nant was sending to Captain? Was one of them with Prom? Is Porche looking into protecting the family name?

To continue with Prom for a little: as happy as he seem to the news of Nant being back, he doesn't seem that thrill when meeting Nont.

clever of you to go see him in Nant's white, Nont, but I do think Prom knows his baby better than you do.

Still don't know what the fucking dynamic is apart from what has being obviously stated before but here is when I slowly slide in to talk about

First of all, Nont has run out of info and is already slipping, I was fully expecting for him to come clean to First and Zouey during the breakfast:

Nont seems to think that Nant is death (so do I) and he could have fallen victim of a rough session gone wrong. Is a possible. It could be accidental.

But if it wasn't, if someone is behind it... Let's go with our only clear suspect right now: Porche.

what is the motive? could be from jealousy or pride. Is not strange for younger siblings to think their older siblings are out of bounds to their friends and Porche is a possesive bitch. If he didn't like Nant to begin with, him fuckin Porche AND getting paid by him would probably send him to the fuckin edge. It could also be a matter of family pride as well. Maybe he knew about the clips, or maybe knew about the relationship by other means and that could tint their father's reputation, therefore also his. Specially if the problem is the clips... that shit would spread like wildefire.

My mind tells me two things: "well, this fuckin sucks" and "is a red herring".

We had them going at it with their fuckin shenanigans (never better said) for almost the whole episode. But we keep being reminded about how materialistic Soong seems to be:

First adores this man to the same level Zouey adores Teena, but his eyes are set somewhere else: profit.

Now, we can go to Denial, the river in Egipt, for a while and say that he's being thruthful about how he doesn't want people to think he's with First for the money... But he is. First is a giant bhath sign for him. Even when he goes to leave First home after their little "cosplay" adventure (ominous that they were dress as knock off versions of Ghostface), he just have eyes for the fuckin watch First has eventually given him:

which makes me go into two theories:

either Soong is really dumb and for real has being playing First + he's straigh up a psycho

OR

as many are wishing for, after the massive argument First and his father had, and the knowledge we have that First cannot move out due to his father's controling nature, him and Soong are teamming up to con First's dad... which I also think is a dumb idea, but how cares for now.

or at least that's it for now... I'll probably write more and go in depth as we wait for EP3, but that's my investigation work for now.

The interpersonal communication between James and Lily does a great job of acknowledging how James, while being physically present was emotionally absent. The author explores his grief and makes it a point to note that while it explains his behaviour, it doesn’t excuse it. Despite this, through it all, I was rooting for them. Also, the relationship between the Black brothers was so well written. All of the side characters felt valuable to the story and were dynamic. Overall a really good read! Shout out to big brother Harry and baby Gracie ❤︎ ❤︎ ❤︎

OKAY SO i have not read the full succ scripts back to front, ive been looking at some posted on twitter mostly around tom and greg bc. i like them. some stuff, im glad they didn't include, others, i am sad we missed.

I actually really liked the scene with Disgusting Brothers, LLC. Hilarious that Greg cannot even reference licking cunt or pussy. gayass.

i think in some ways it may be redundant, because we already know Greg is trying to cheer tom up, checking in on his eating and sleeping and such but, at the same time,

It really shows that Greg is trying to continue this dynamic that was implied to have been established between seasons that we barely got to see, mostly in s1e1, while Tom is pulling away due to Stress and not giving Greg the attention Greg has clearly come to expect from him?

Greg even says "I did this for you". There is no way you can convince me he is sleeping around for the sake of it, or because he likes it, what he likes about it is getting to hang out with Tom and being Tom's friend and having a special nickname with Tom. even if it's platonic, his best guy friend is more important to him than the women he's apparently sleeping with (again. he can't even say 'licking cunt' like sir you are an adult, you don't have to act like girls have cooties)

The one part i don't like, however... why they would make it explicit only now that Greg is actually in contact with his dad, when his only mentions before were used as a weapon against Greg because he's Gay and presumably ran off

To me, it throws so much about Greg into question and makes me feel crazy. Were were not supposed to read Greg as someone abandoned by his gay father and having issues stemming from that?

This has always been an issue, for me, with how succession treats it's side characters. Even if we don't SEE the backstory, I vastly prefer it when the storytellers HAVE one that is guiding the character's actions, and for this line to have been written, it makes me feel like Greg doesn't, or that I have wildly misunderstood the subtext/hints up until now.

Because, if Greg were actually in contact with his absent gay father, why would he not have hit him up for support earlier? And "Family whatsapp" what??? with his cousins? or with his mom and dad!?! i was under the assumption Marianne didn't talk to her presumably ex-husband. I thought we were meant to think that Greg's Dad, by virtue of being gay, was probably pushed out of the Roy family because he would besmirch their fox-news conservative rep, or that he left to slut it up once he was found out and couldn't hack it being with a Roy.

It's a small moment but, to me, it's just..... wild how it goes against everything I thought I knew about Greg.

The rest of the scene I did like, though. Licking Lots of You Know What, hehe.

So a little background for the story, Ghost and reader aren't yet in a relationship but are very clearly pining over each other(sorta), Reader has also been a part of the 141 for a good while and has a really good family dynamic with the team!! 

C/W: angst(?), gore, mentions of torture(reader), reader doubts 141, reader gets a major injuries(But its not super talked about), reader’s wounds get infected, Ghost and reader pining for each other at the end but doesn’t actually(technically) get together , also use of y/n and c/s(Call Sign), if there’s anymore lemme know

This was meant to be an easy and a ‘get in get out' mission. How did everything go to shit so quickly?

The 141 moved in to go investigate the small town. Lasswel sent in information to Price a couple days earlier saying some important intel had somehow fallen into the hands of the wrong people and they had to retrieve it. Hopefully as well in the process figure out how the intel got into their hands.

“Everyone move in go” Price was heard through their comms, Everyone starting to move in when a loud noise and force sent the group of highly trained men forwards. “WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK WAS THAT?!” Price yelled into his comms, everyone could hear the distress in his voice. How'd they know the 141 was going to be there.

“Bomb sir! They must know we're her-” The Scotsman was cut off by the rain of bullets that was sent out. Throughout the rain of fire more explosives went off effectively getting 4 of the SAS group to stay together while one was separated.

“Everyone here?” A gruff British accent called out into his comms, looking around throughout the bullets and dust of the battle ground. “SIR I DON'T SEE C/S ANYWHERE!” Gaz screamed out, looking around frantically. Price looked at his team, a grave look on his face as he spoke, “We have to leave. We'll get c/s back you know we don't leave each other behind but going in there right now will get all of us killed” They went off. Not before Ghost stopped giving another look around, concern evident in his eyes, as he looked around for his other teammate.

<Your POV>

Everything hurts. My head was throbbing. My arms were stuck above my head, cold metal digging into my skin. Opening my eyes, unsurprisingly to see a damp, gloomy, musty and uncomfortable room. No windows, and a single light hanging from the roof and a total of four high up holes in the wall, out of reach. Even if I wasn’t tied up.

“Well we'll look who's awake” My eyes concentrate onto a silhouette outside of the metal bars in front of me. “You've been out for a long time you know, Thought your own body would kill you before we got a chance to talk.” He chuckles as he walks into my view. Walking into the cell he gets closer to my face. Looking away as to not continue looking at him. Grabbing my chin and forcing me to look at him. “Now why don't you tell me the rest of the information I need, hm? won't you be a good boy and tell me what i need to know.”

“Go to hell, dirtbag” I scoff, shaking my head away from his grip. Sometimes I wish I kept my mouth shut. A scream ripped out of my throat. Tears building up in my eyes, the pain shooting up from my leg, the gruelling feel of the knife twisting into my flesh. 

Why haven't they come for me yet? I don't want to have to do this for god knows how long. “Common, just tell me what I want. You do that, this'll stop you know. Just work with me here.” Smirking at me, he realised I wasn't going to be giving up anything that he wanted to know.

And so he just continued. The stabbing, The burning, the Jesus, everything. The more screams that came out of my mouth instead of the information he wanted angered him more. It wouldn't stop. He wouldn't stop. Neither would my screams. The screams that seemed to just egg him on. 

And so he continued, gladly at that. Giving me the minimal amount of water to make sure I wouldn’t pass out from dehydration. He was loving it. Coming in every minute he had the time to torture me. Mercilessly, he just won’t stop.

Surely my team, Ghost at least, Ghost has to come get me soon. It’s Ghost, he’s the best out of us. He’ll be able to find me. I know he will. He has too! I mean it’s Ghost, Ghost will save me, He’ll be worried and he’ll rescue me.

He hasn’t come for me. No one has. The torture has continued. I’m pretty sure I’ve gained some lovely new permanent scars. Everywhere. Being stripped down to my tank and boxers, forcing the harsh weather to have more of an effect on my body then it may have been.

I can’t do this anymore. Every plan I’ve tried so far has failed. There's been absolutely no signs or showings of the 141. They still haven’t come for me. I’m so tired. How could they do this to me? Ghost. Ghost out of all people, out of everyone he hasn’t come for me. I thought maybe he would’ve- no it doesn’t matter.

The creaking and screeching of doors opening, revealing the person I would least like to see. “How’s my little rat doing, hm? You don’t look so good, now do you?” laughing at his seemingly hilarious joke. Looking away from him, I’m not giving anything he wants. Despite losing faith in his team, he wasn’t going to ruin his reputation in the SAS.

Keeping my mouth shut, of course angers him. I think if I spoke back it would’ve angered him. So surprise surprise grabbing my chin, making me look at his grossly greasy face, the evil smirk gracing (if you could say that) his ugly mug. “You make this so fun for me, you know that?” He chuckles. For fucks sake. Here we go again.

-another time skip(sorry i'm lazy and don't want this so be too long)-

<No one's/3rd Person POV>

Without y/n’s knowledge Ghost was screaming at everyone and everything. He was so stressed. He didn’t know if you were alive, if you were okay, if you had gotten out. After getting separated from you they couldn’t find you. Of course filing you M.I.A for the time being. The reality of the situation setting on even harder for Ghost as he had to read your file, the addition of the daunting letters gracing your profile sent him into a frenzy.

He was snappy, angry, stressed, short tempered and all of the above. He couldn’t get any information on where you might be and it was absolutely driving him absolutely insane. Soap, Gaz and even Price weren't able to help him calm down. They themselves were stressed. Worried for your well being. No one had been able to get into contact with you. Even Lasswel had tried getting information on where you might be or even where the people who had taken you may have ended up.

Everyone and anyone were walking on eggshells around the stressed four men. Though no one dared to go close to Ghost, he hadn’t been sleeping, eating, or keeping himself healthy. Not only were you not there to keep him sane, you weren’t there to remind him. To bring him tea made the exact way he liked it. Not finding his favourite sweets on his desk with a sticky note teasing him about being dark and gloomy but loving bright and overly sugary sweets. He hadn’t realised how much you kept him sane. How much your being made him okay, How much you made him feel like Simon again.

It'd have to have been over a month or two. Though within that month or so here y/n stood, bloodied and bruised. Severe wounds littered his body as he limped through the bloodied halls of where he was once locked up in. Shrugging the last body of dead weight off of him, after stealing someone's clothes. Surprisingly not wanting to find out how to leave here while in his raggedy tank top and his boxers. Fiddling with the keys he found, continuing to limp throughout this god awful place.

Finally navigating his way out, seeing the sun for the first time in what truly felt months, years even. Being tortured every second of being down there, with i cleaned blades, dirty bloody kitchen tools, seemingly anything and everything unclean they could find. Effectively forcing most if not all wounds to become infected.

His body is wasting away, no food and the smallest amount of water to keep him alive. Continuing to walk or limp his way through wherever this shitty place is. Finding a car while limping to the car, finding the keys in his pants, trying them on the car, not believing his luck when it opens. 

Driving, non stop till he finally saw the bloody annoying colours of the barracks he called his home. The soldiers taking watch noticed immediately of the unidentified car coming to their quarters. The 141 run out wondering what's going on, seeing the car, they grab their guns and aim it at the car. Everyone else yelling out at the person to get out of the car. The door opens to reveal none other than their missing teammate. Ghost stood there frozen. Not only were you alive, you got out of there yourself.

Ghost running over to you after breaking out of his shock. He grabbed you and pulled you into his arms. Holding you up as you finally let tears fall, knees buckling under your weight as you held onto Ghost, your Ghost for what felt like your life depended on it. “Are you okay, Love? Holy shit I thought you were dead. We couldn’t find you, I’m so so sorry Darling��” He whispered to you as he carried you to the medic centre. The 141 following a good few feet away.

Placing you down on a bed, pulling off his mask, chuckling at the shock on your sunken eyes. Placing a kiss on your forehead he whispered sweet nothings to you as you used him as a personal heater. A know on your door pulling you away from your moment with Ghost, in walked Price, Gaz and Soap. “Glad yer’ ‘right” Soap spoke softly, giving you a fist bump, “We’re so proud of you kid.” Price’s moustache twitched upwards as he looked down at you. “Yeah like holy shit dude! You got out of there by yourself! You gotta tell us all about it!” Laughing softly at Gaz’s way of making you feel better.

Not only could they see how worn out and just purely unwell you were, they couldn’t help but feel their heart well at the smiles and chuckles you gave while speaking to them. The same goes with you. You could see all of them, the worry and relief of seeing you safe and okay being in front of them. Seeing Ghost, the most dishevelled out of the four men standing above the medical bed, was like having everything bad that had happened to you become better, knowing he did try and you did mean something to him.

After the other three left, Ghost sat, with his mask back on, as you got hooked up to fluids and held your hand while getting your wounds cleaned, and unfortunately the deep clean as most of your wounds had deep and good infections so a good and thorough clean was needed.  Once it was again just you and Ghost, his mask back off. Both men smiling softly at one another. “You're getting sleepy there darling” Ghost chuckled standing up and pulled the covers over you, again kissing your forehead.

“Ghost?” “Hm?” Ghost turning around, and chuckled at you, arms out, waiting expectantly for a hug from the big and scary stoic man. Giving in, he lent down and carefully hugged you. Leaning back up slowly you looked up at him and let out in a soft whisper “Stay with me? Please?” And without a second thought he grabbed a spare blanket and sat down next to you. “Get some sleep. You need it. And before you argue, that’s an order.” chuckling at him and cuddling up with the blanket you closed your eyes, safe, hydrated and a full stomach, but most importantly with Ghost.

When first joining the squad... it took a while for Meta Knight to understand social cues or to figure out when people were joking. An important thing to note, this was before Meta Knight officially became leader of the squadron and was just currently supervising them for now.

He was still getting used to the squadron. This convo just seemed so in character with the dynamic I had to include so this comic. I'm still learning to draw the rest of them but this is it for now.

I've already introduced Perry and Avery; now it's time to introduce three others...

Sir Gregory: He's basically a fallen knight of a noble family... His father refused the cruel management of the nobleman he served. As the result, they were shamed and they could no longer work.

Gregory joined the war in hopes of restoring his family's honor. He speaks in this formal old English (that he's trying to get rid of) but tends to slip from time to time.

He has a thing for Avery, but she hasn't noticed yet... but she'd definitely be interested if she knew. ;3

Lady Marleen: Team Medic and basically the sweetheart of the group... known for healing magic and a vital asset of the group.

She originally worked in a clinic on her planet, but it was destroyed and joined the GSA as a result.

Lowkey is also the team therapist and generally has the most calming presence in the group... Meta Knight got the cape wrap-around thing from her. (That was always the coping mechanism she taught MK to calm him, down he still uses it....)

Sir Bishop: He's basically the team mechanic and was the go-to person if they ever needed to hot-wire a ship. He was working in a junkyard digging for scrap metal to make into weapons & ships to sell...

His brother was arrested by the GSA (for stealing equipment ) and volunteered to work in the army as collateral to replace the things his brother stole & to get him out quicker.
