watching akira is so fun and it’s so great. like straight sci-fi action movie with some great but sparing use of horror tropes! good and well done comedy that doesn’t kill the vibe, fucking stellar character interactions and a breakneck pace!!! in short, really good and really high energy, and a real treat to watch!!! i fall in love with this movie every time i watch it

then it cuts to this shot towards the end and i feel ill

me got one more really fun fight!

and then i feel like puking for the next ten minutes because within the 16 times i’ve seen this movie , the body horror sticks with you and that sucks.
