Another late night leads the unlikely couple to be spending time on the roof of the Coyote's home, watching the lights of the city effectively wash out the natural lights of the stars due to the light-pollution. yet, the one thing he can't deny is the shine of the lights against the water in the city-port, the simplicity of it & Khaz not really leaving the city much asides from acting security for arms-trades. He's a dog on a leash & the city wouldn't have it any other way, he's been more than useful for countless folk, even if this means quite the opposite for what he was seeking in life.

Nicolette was someone Khaz enjoyed thoroughly spending time with, even having going as far as rushing jobs in some cases just to meet up with her. She was a stone for him, more often than not keeping him grounded & focused when his mind begins to wander into darker & nearly forgotten territories deep within the recesses of his psyche. Given the change in seasons, the weather was getting starkly colder than autumn was, although that never stopped them from taking time to go outside and taking in the fresh air, especially since how busy the Coyote makes himself to be. With either Khaz finally (truth be told, he was most likely getting distracted by his own train of thought while gazing upon the water-reflected water,) noticing from his peripheral vision, or rather Nicolette bringing it up vocally, every few odd moments that her hands were absolutely freezing, the Coyote apologizes once he finally realizes, snapping back into reality. He turns to face her & takes Nico's hands into his own, black leather digits come to clasp around lithe digits tenderly, yet firm enough to let any cool air seep between the cracks, coiling 'round to provide some much needed warmth to her cold hands. His hands being much larger than hers, effectively covered most, if not all of the surface area & skin, now enveloping her in warmth, comfort and a view.

In the moment of comfort, crimson eyes offer a friendly gaze towards her deep, violet orbs, something Khaz can never get enough of. He doesn't mean to awkwardly stare, the color is soothing to his soul. "Nico, you should invest in the gloves. Y'know, I know a shop that can get y' some with wool-lining. Keep yer' hands nice 'n toasty. Stylish 'n fancy too, come in plenty of colors if y' got something specific in mind. Or, how about my treat? Consider it an early holiday gift, if y' want of course, I don't wanna force anythin' on t' ya' if you don't want 'em."
