{ OOC } This has been bugging me for a while and so I really just want to rant about it. Since I've seen it far too much lately and I really just think it needs to be addressed.

But... why are there so many haters in the RPC? If you don't like something that someone does with their blog, the unfollow / block button is free to use and costs absolutely nothing but a few clicks and one second of your time. But, no, instead, people feel like they have to dictate what others do with their blog, what they should be posting, how many muses they have, which muses they should be focusing on.

I'm sorry, but if you don't thoroughly check out a blog before following them, not knowing what kind of content you'll get on the dash from that blog, that's on you as a person. You have no right to complain about another person's posts when it's their blog to begin with.

Like ?? Seriously, rules and bios aren't the only thing you should be checking out. Those are important, but seeing the kind of posts a person has also is important. Checking out the writing before you follow is also important !! That's how you get an idea if you really want to follow someone.

But no, apparently people rather would follow and get annoyed when that person posts things they don't 🙄

TL;DR: I'm tired of people dictating / criticizing other people for what they do with their blogs. If you don't like certain posts or only came for a certain type of content, you should've known better before following, don't ever tell anyone what to focus on or what to post. It's rude and unwanted.

I dont normally do rants on this blog unless its something that Really bothers me, or that i need some opinions about. I wanna talk about the shipping in this fandom, Or, mostly the people involved in conversatioms involving that topic.

People try their hardest to find bad things about this and then rant on ship posts like "No, you cant do that! They aren't Gay-" Knowing DAMN well, that HEADCANONS EXIST.

Thats why their called headcanons! Its not canon, its what WE personally believe! We all KNOW they all are Straight cis men who see eachother in the gang as family. But Everyones allowed to have their own headcanons and opinions, if they wish to! Yes, we all know we wouldn't date our family, But heres the thing.. only the Curtis Brothers are actually family. Nobody else in the gang is family. Yes, they act like it, but there isnt anything wrong with shipping in this damn fandom unless its a proship or Inc3st!

Let people live their lives. Hate all you want, argue with the wall, but just know that there isnt anything wrong with ships unless its a proship/huge age gap! Get a grip. DAY 2: Deep clean your car (if you don't have a car, deep clean something else that you haven't done but should do: junk drawer, dresser, yoga mat, makeup brushes, etc)

DAY 3: Try a new (healthy!) recipe-- this could even be a healthy dessert or beverage

DAY 4: Try a guided meditation on YouTube for 10 minutes after waking up and before checking social media

DAY 5: Spend an extra 15 minutes working on something for school, work, hobbies, or your own personal development

DAY 6: Unfollow, delete, and block social media accounts and phone contacts that are just not part of your life anymore (or those who you plan on not having as a part of your life anymore)

DAY 7: Delete social media pictures that don't fit in with the best version of you. This could be the overedited photos, the thirst trap you put on there because that one person made you upset, etc.

DAY 8: Try a new workout that you haven't done. Pilates, ballet, barre, tennis, CrossFit, kickboxing, F45, cycling, running, swimming, etc.

DAY 9: Pamper your pet. Brush, clean, trim their nails, give them treats, etc. Go above and beyond for them today. (If you don't have animals, pamper yourself today!)

DAY 10: Enjoy the sunshine. Go outside (wear your sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat) for 15-20 minutes and enjoy your own company and nature.

DAY 11: No phone 30 minutes before bed. Set your bedtime tonight, and set an alarm 30 minutes prior to that. Once your alarm goes off, put your phone on DND and read a book before bed. Read until you are tired enough to turn off your lights and sleep.

DAY 12: Watch a documentary about something and learn! Maybe it's something you've never had an interest in. Just please make it positive! No heartbreaking or tragic documentaries. Let's not invite that into our "That Girl" challenge.

DAY 13: Buy a self-care item. This could be a yoga mat, face mask, cleansing oil, the Bible, perfume, etc. It can be as expensive or inexpensive as you'd like.

DAY 14: Go out on a date with yourself. Take yourself out to do something you've never done/been to before.

DAY 15: Aim to drink at least 60oz. of pure water today.

DAY 16: Spend 30 minutes learning a language you've always wanted to learn (and if you love it, practice for 10 minutes a day afterward)

DAY 17: Turn your notifications off.

DAY 18: No social media today.

DAY 19: Do something creative today. Buy a canvas, paint, and a brush, and follow a Bob Ross tutorial; maybe buy a jewelry-making kit. Take today and be creative for at least 30 minutes.

DAY 21: Go through your finances and see where you can budget. Take this time to audit your subscriptions and see if you would like to cancel any recurring subscriptions to save you extra money each month.

A few years back, I wanted to refine my comedic writing and started a whacky Fallout 4 blog long after the fandom had seen its peak. I knew there wouldn't be a large audience, but I wanted to see what would happen. Long story short, I regularly invited my followers to send asks I would answer in-character, and honestly had so much fun. I never bullied my audience for only liking and not reblogging. To the contrary; I respect my audience and their prerogative to decide for themselves what they do want to share on their blogs and what they don't. It's *their* blogs. I cannot grasp the audacity of some creators to demand space on people's personal blogs. I really can't.

I only had the Fallout blog for like 8 months and got more audience attention than I could deal with at times. I had such a blast, getting asks, replying to them, building in-jokes with my followers. I ended the blog with a small event and was met with a flood of lovely comments and good-byes. Today, four years later, I post on that blog maybe one or two times a year. And even though most of my followers unfollowed me when I ended the blog, I still get the occasional lovely comment. After four years, people still remember the great time we had.

Good thing I didn't block all those wonderful people who mainly liked but didn't reblog. Word got around nonetheless. I found the audience I was looking for. Dunno if I would have had the same relaxed experience with a crowd who was bullied into the interaction.

I have been dealing with anons harassing me since I started posting HotD stuff back during the Season 1 show run. I got hateful anons saying terrible things about Abby back in December. I blocked a lot of blogs that were posting these weird reader x canon character thirst lists that I just found bizarre and didn't want to see scrolling through a character tag. That, friends, is what the block button is for. I block people with takes that I disagree with as well, I'm someone whose pretty liberal with my block button. I block things I don't want to see on my dash. It's honestly as simple as that.

No one has fucking told me to block anyone. I am actually deeply fucking insulted that I, a grown ass adult who is nearly forty, needs to be told to block someone/someones when people are setting up blogs called 'ihateemilykaldwens' and trying to terrorize me, and my friends and mutuals, and then try to frame another one of my mutuals for being responsible for it in the process. I only just recently started speaking with "the individuals" I've chosen to associate with long after I have blocked the people you're saying are being bullied.
