Fake Scenarios In My Head #18
(Can be read as sequel to FS#13)
Their case has hit a wall; a neighbor of the perpetrator provided a last-minute alibi for him. Alex is convinced the neighbor is lying, but she can't prove it or understand why he would lie for someone he barely knows. For hours, she sits in her office with Olivia, papers strewn across the little coffee table, couch, and desk, combing through every piece of evidence, searching for the key to cracking the case.
Alex's assistant knocks on the open office door to get her attention. He wears a huge smile and hands her a small package with Alex's name neatly written on it in delicate handwriting. "The delivery guy just dropped this off for you."
She gets up from her desk, thankful to stretch her legs for a bit, and curiously takes the package from him. "Thanks, Andrew."
"Any progress with the witness?"
"No, not yet," Alex sighs. "Any other calls for me?"
"Nothing I couldn't handle."
"What would I do without you?"
"Drown in paperwork, probably," Andrew chuckles. "Can I do anything else? Maybe get you a coffee?"
"That would be amazing. I could really use a break," Olivia interjects.
"Coming right up."
Olivia stands up, stretching her muscles and groaning in pain. "I'm too old for this," she jokes and Alex just laughs in response.
"So... what have you got there, Counselor? I assume it's not related to our case," Olivia asks, pointing to the package.
"I'm afraid this won't help," Alex replies, grinning as she obviously recognizes the handwriting.
"So, you don't want to open it?"
"Aren't you curious, Detective?" Alex laughs.
"To be honest, I am. Kind of comes with the job, you know," Olivia shrugs. "And I could really use some distraction here."
Alex nods in understanding. She unwraps the package, revealing an elegant black box with a brand name embossed in shiny silver. She runs her fingers over the smooth surface, tracing the letters with a barely hidden smile before carefully opening the lid. The inside is lined with black velvet, and a single beautiful flower blossom sits within, the brightly colored petals contrasting the velvet beautifully.
Olivia furrows her brows. "Flowers?"
"A Flower Detective. Singular," Alex quips. "A Strelitzia blossom to be exact."
"Stre... ok yeah... Still... a pretty unusual way to deliver a flower," Olivia remarks.
Alex shakes her head, smiling. "If it were only the flower, I would agree." With that, she lifts the flower, and Olivia spots a beautiful silver necklace nestled inside the velvet bed. The necklace is a cascade of silver spheres, gradually increasing and then decreasing in size, a delicate chain threaded through them to create a fluid cascading effect.
"Wow," she exclaims. "That's beautiful, Alex."
"It really is," Alex says quietly, her voice suddenly full of emotion as her eyes wander from the necklace back to the flower in her hand. Her fingers delicately trace the intricate design of the necklace, and she can’t help but smile at the thoughtfulness behind the gift.
"Who sent it, Alex? Is there a card? Does the flower mean anything to you?" Olivia's curiosity is piqued, and she leans in closer, eager for details.
"Yes, the flower means something to me." She smiles lovingly, slowly twirling the flower between her fingers. "No need for a card. I know who sent it."
"Oh... okay," Olivia says, drawing out the words to give Alex the opportunity to elaborate, but she stays silent.
"So... do you want me to help you put it on?"
"Not now. I'll save it for a special occasion."
"Got something particular in mind? A hot date, maybe?" Olivia teases.
Alex places the flower back in the box and closes the lid with a grin. "Maybe..."
Olivia leans forward, clearly not satisfied with the vague answer. "Alex, come on. Give me something to work with. Who's the mystery person? Is it someone I know?"
Alex chuckles, shaking her head. “Wouldn't you like to know.”
“Do they by any chance drive a Mercedes?”
"Nice try, Detective," Alex replies, her tone light but firm, a small smile on her lips. “Can we please drop the subject now?” She leans back, crossing her arms, clearly not planning to give anything away. There's a playful glint in her eyes, showing she’s more amused than annoyed by Olivia’s questioning.
Olivia sighs dramatically, throwing her hands up in mock defeat. "Fine, keep your secrets. But don't think for a second I'm done with this.”
Before Alex can respond, Andrew returns, balancing a tray with three steaming cups of coffee. "Here you go, ladies. Freshly brewed and just what you need."
"Thanks, Andrew," Alex says, gratefully accepting her cup.
"You're a lifesaver," Olivia adds, taking a sip and closing her eyes in appreciation. "Perfect timing, too. I was just about to resort to interrogation tactics."
Andrew gives Alex a questioning look, but she just waves it off.
“Anything else I can do for you?” he asks.
“No, we’re good for now, Andrew.”
As he leaves, Olivia gives Alex a knowing look. "This isn't over, Counselor. I'll be watching you."
Alex just laughs, raising her coffee cup in a mock toast. "To mysteries and the detectives who love them."
Olivia clinks her cup against Alex's, grinning. "I'll drink to that."

@dawnxtoxdusk asked: 😈 - Chu :D
Corrupted version - still accepting
Info: Those are none less than 1.278 words, its 4 a.m and therefore it probably doesn’t make a lot of sense :’’’) BUT FUCK DID I ENJOY WRITING THIS. It probably can’t be truly seen as a ‘corrupted’ version of Miran - it’s more a corrupted life the sisters would lead?
It definitely is something I’d like to discover more because, oh my gosh xD I got a bit inspired by how Daichi got ‘abandoned’ by the family tbh. Just that it would happen in a different way there? There would be just so much to explain, so much to discover and aaaah. I can’t believe I had never gotten this idea before for them???
Anyway, I’m super proud of it, even though it became a half drabble rather than an RP reply ( and I’m super sorry for that xD ). I’m also sorry for Strelitzia’s explanation having been so brief ; u ; MIRAN AND I LOVE HER A LOT.
Eerie quiet in the heart of Yokohama, was a hotel rumored to lay. One, only few got in - but even fewer got out. Most of those employed in within those walls, colored in a pure white and rich of decorations in golden colors knew who they worked for. Knew the man, who had them employed, but now lived with his wife on the other side of the sea. Little did they know however, why they were here. Who it was, they brought food and tea to. Only ever had they heard the voice of a woman or a child, another girl, via their phones they were given for this job. Those who were harbored in the twelfth and last floor of this so overly luxury building.
Their faces were to be seen only one painting, like as if made during old times, hung hidden and lonely in a room. Two females - a woman with long, golden locks cascading down to the middle of her back and her lips, colored in a soft shade of red, parted as if shock froze her doll-like, pale face. Azure eyes that inspired innocence and purity, but also curiosity, stared at those facing the portrait - only little of her body was to be seen, but there were hints of the dark blue dress she wore on the day this picture was created.
Her arms were protectively wrapped around another girl. Much younger and yet to those who would look closely, facial familiarity to the adult would become clear. Did the child however have ginger hair, that were just as long and the big, amber eyes of an innocent child.
And though it was obvious that this might could be the voices that whispered in hushed tones into the phones, nobody knew if they truly existed. Whatever they were alive or dead - or why they would never have come face to face with anyone for so many years. However. Some would say that those too were nothing but two unfortunate souls. Abandoned by those, who had set them into this world - abandoned for not matching their parent’s wishes.
Thrown away like broken toys in their imperfect perfection.
Guests only visited seldomly, randomly. At most it were people who found no shelter anymore during the busy times of the bustling city. Sometimes it also were curious or brave ones, who heard from gossips of the mysterious owners of this abandoned and yet odd lively building… and only those, who were chosen as trusted enough to be permitted - or rather forced - to work over night ever knew what would happen to those.
Only those ever heard those light steps, that were gossiped about like a haunted tale, on long, carpeted corridors. Where windows were covered by thick curtains, banning every so dim light of the moon - as if one had feared somebody would lurk inside. Feared, that somebody would see, what was not meant to see.
Not seldom was the person to have visited found dead, once the first rays of the morning sun touched the city. Either perished in their room, or found bloodied on the highest floor, which guests were forbidden to enter - for obvious reasons. Still there were those who chose to be foolish. Those who paid no heeds to the quiet warnings of those people, who had worked for the family long enough to witness the many lives to enter - and the many corpses that were to be disposed.
Even though murder had happened within the building, there never had been the hint of a police found anywhere near the doors of the hotel and those who could talk, had vowed their secrecy. Even got bribed with a too little amount of money, by the Korean male with long, black hair and amber eyes just as the younger one of the females on the portrait, one could only guess that it might was their father - and therefore probably the only one who knew for sure, whatever was going on for real.
Trying to reach out had always resulted in the male covering himself in silence however. Not even losing a word to the easiest questions.
And so, another day had passed of trays once filled with plates of food, pots of tea and water and empty cups were once more carried emptily and used back to the lowest floor - the kitchens. Another day, on which the cruelty behind closed doors could have discovered, would one just have the courage to see what was wrong and right about those rumors. What was behind all those corpses, those dead guests, that might had looked so ‘innocently’ to those who did not understand.
This was just another night, in which Miran would run her fingers through the hair of her sister laying asleep in their bed. Prisoned in their own home, their own room, since so much time. Scorned by their blood for their differences, abandoned for being born with what was insulted as ‘witchcraft’ by those, elder than them. By those, who were aware of their existence and therefore tried to get rid of them as good as possible. Probably, so could the female only guess, to clean the name of their families and keep up their reputation.
What once felt to the blonde like being thrown into the fairy tale of the princess, Rapunzel, that was locked into her town, had become an unbearable fight and what little - or more like nobody - knew, was that all the young woman did, was to protect the lives of her sister and herself. Hadn’t it been just one time after all, that those so called ‘guests’ or ‘visitors’ from nowhere would suddenly stand at their bedside, with a weapon in one hand. Trying to assassinate one or both of them. Probably doing the dirty work for their family, most likely their parents, they didn’t want to do. To make the ‘mistakes’ none should ever know about disappear.
But she didn’t mind the blood that tainted her hands by now. If it was proof to their father, that their existence was dangerous, then so be it. Only too gladly would the older sister have shown him what his actions had driven them into. What it had done to her, after witnessing after the murder of their eldest brother in front of her very own eyes. How bitter the constant struggle had made her, to not end up like Sehun, who had only tried to protect his sisters that had meant everything to him, had taught her to survive - had inspired her to fight for her life, even if it would one day be only for Strelitzia’s sake or for the freedom of the girl.
It were steps from the distance, that caused Miran’s head to perk up. To watch, as a silhouette in the darkness of the rich decorated, but also slight deserted, room moved - forced the female to grab to the knife on the close nightstand. Unsure, how the stranger came in without her having realized. Would the door announce entrances with a loud squeak after all and with how high up they were, there were no other possibilities.
The blonde held her breath. Fearing, that one noise too much could alert the stranger too quick.
It would mean their end for sure. Would mean, that all she had fought for in this room she hadn’t been allowed to leave for such a long time would have gone to nothing. That she’d never see the outside again, she wished to see so eagerly.
Her heartbeat quickened, her eyes showing nothing but hatred towards whoever had dared it to interrupt, whatever had promised to be a silent, peaceful night.

Discord was discussing what flowers should be in the Enchanted Kiss bouquet depending on love interest, and regarding Merula, I stumbled upon what is called "tyrant king flower" in Chinese (Google 霸王花; and yes, it shares etymology with T rex. in Chinese), which is slang for a tough/domineering woman, and can refer to both a beautiful white cactus blossom...or Rafflesia, the infamous corpse flower. People also suggested crocus for Andre, and Strelitzia (bird of paradise flower) for Talbott.
You know, it would have been such a little thing, but I would have adored that. I went back and watched the different sets of footage, assuming that the bouquet would be wrapped in different colors, at least. But nope. It wasn’t. Between that and the Love Interests not having their own outfits this time...really feels like this Quest was rushed. And it...didn’t have to be? At all? The amount of time between Valentines Day II and Enchanted Kiss was rather short. They could have worked on this quest more and released it later, like what they did with Festival Fun. Jam City, if you’re listening...choosing speedy releases over high quality content is what kills franchises. Take it from someone still aboard the sinking ship that is Pokemon. Damn, just thinking about this is making me imagine different types of flowers for the different characters, and I love that.
Holy heck, I don’t even have to look up the Tyrant King flower to know that it’s perfect for Merula. That name tells you everything you need to know. But I’m checking it out now and I love it. The T-Rex very much suits Merula’s hard-headed and aggressive personality, yet also her inability to grasp things (heheh.) Which is doubly funny because she probably has absolutely no idea what a T-Rex even is. Now where did I put those head-canons about muggle-borns having Dinosaur Patronuses....Oh damn, the fact that it has a dual meaning, referencing her duality (All of my followers, finish your drinks.) between her tough and domineering personality, her notorious connection to death and the Dark Arts...versus her more beautiful side...but even that is in the shape of a cactus. Prickly on the outside as a defense mechanism, but ultimately sweet on the inside. God, she is such a cactus. I am so happy.
Okay, okay. The Crocus is absolutely gorgeous, and it is perfect for Andre. The Bird of Paradise is already one of my favorite flowers but I’m not sure it suits Andre. I feel like he would get something quieter like daffodils or orchids. I guess the simple reference to birds isn’t enough for me to think “Talbott.” and these flowers are so chaotic that I feel as though they would suit Tonks or Tulip better. I’ve mentioned before that Roses, specifically Black Roses, are the sigil of the Fawley Family. I’ve likewise mentioned before that Penny strikes me as a bluebell sort of gal. I dunno, I just feel like at some point, probably for Bill and Fleur, Penny was a Flower Girl (or was that Gabrielle...yeah, it might have been, come to think of it.) and whenever this happened she spread bluebells everywhere. Not sure why, it’s just...oh. I just realized why. Penny reminds me of another character who has a strong connection to bluebells. I shall not say what he’s from because I am embarrassed, but his name is Stepney.

[Kingdom Hearts] Pinkie Swear
Summary: Written for @khuxweek, in which a day before the War, Brain takes Sabrina (OC) someplace special.
Rating: K
Word Count: 1,931 words
If you liked this story, please reblog!
☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆ ⚬ ☆
There are very few times when I can look at a fellow Keyblade wielder and think 'Yes, this one has a heart so strong, they could move mountains one day.' I felt that way with each of my fellow Union leaders when I met them. Even Ventus who, even then, felt like an anomaly but still had promise of something greater. It was one of these few people I was actually close with before the Keyblade War. Her name was Sabrina- which apparently meant princess. Go figure.
. . .
The air was filled with electricity in the days leading up to the Keyblade War. After Ava gave her speech (one that no one had really expected, let alone how serious she was during it), the youngest of the Dandelions in both age and recruitment started to get antsy. Except for her. Brain wasn't able to see her during training much because Ava frequently helped the newer recruits than those who had been there for awhile. He wasn't one of the first Dandelions- but he could remember when he could recognize a face or two if they crossed paths during regular missions. Now there were so many Dandelions that he couldn't pick them out on a normal day without some help.
When Ava disappeared, the Dandelions were beside themselves. Should they still train? Should they go to the promised place to depart now too? Some still came to Fountain Square to train with each other. Others continued with their missions as already set by their Union leader, becoming invisible in crowds. If the line between who was and wasn't a Dandelion hadn't been blurred before, it was nonexistent then. Brain was one of the Dandelions that skipped out on coming to train in Fountain Square. Instead, he'd pester Sabrina into going somewhere else where they trained together. To say it caused a small conflict in the constantly disagreeable girl was a bit of an understatement.
“What if Master Ava comes back?” she once asked him as she attempted to side swipe him with her Keyblade. He dodged it without a problem. His hat was a bit askew, but she gave him time to adjust it. “She meets with the Dandelions like normal and finds that all of them ditched her.”
“Not going to happen.” Brain assured her with a shake of his head. He took his Keyblade with both hands before rushing at her. Sabrina leaped out of the way, then parried his attempt to get her from behind. “Master Ava would tell us to resume Dandelion training if she comes back.”
Sabrina raised an eyebrow. “If?”
Brain gave a soft chuckle. Of course Sabrina would be able to read between the lines. She was good at that. Master Invi couldn't have asked for a smarter member of her Union. Brain took firm hold of his Keyblade again to attempt a front attack. Sabrina also saw that coming- their Keyblades letting out a loud clang when they connected. Brain didn't let up. Instead he pressed their Keyblades close enough to each other that he could have tilted his head to touch her forehead.
“You're smart.” he told her. “Do you really think we'll see Master Ava again before the war?”
There was a small, subtle twitch in the corner of the girl's mouth that illustrated she did not. Seeing it, Brain finally let up. He even put away his Keyblade- an act that surprised Sabrina a good degree.
“I think we've had enough training for today,” he then told her, “How about we take a break and go for a walk. It's a nice day today.”
Sabrina recoiled. Brain was trying to make it less obvious that his mind was on something else. That constant fidgeting of his fedora was a dead giveaway. The girl had known the other boy for, what? A good six months? She could tell when he was hiding something from her, as little as it happened so far. Sabrina parted her lips a little to say something, but shook her head.
“Fine.” she agreed with a flick of her wrist. “It better not be someplace dumb like Fountain Square or Agrabah. I've had enough sand in my shoes to last a lifetime, thank you.”
Brain couldn't help it, but he gave her a wide smile.
. . .
As far as I knew, I was an only child. I always saw the younger wielders as equal peers than subconsciously channeling some kind of lost 'big brother' instinct. That was the funny thing about Sabrina- she was the first wielder to actually make me want to protect them more than just an equal partner. I'd tease her about wielders that seemed flustered by her growing beauty. We'd eat lunches together and promise to meet up after missions to relax. More than once we'd sit on a bench, watching the sunset, and that girl would lay on me to safely drift off to sleep. We had keys to each other's houses too. It wasn't until far later (and far too late) that I realized we weren't friends; we were family.
. . .
“You're going to hurt yourself.”
“Haven't yet. So if you'd like, let me just break my neck in peace.” There was a pause, then the prudent addition of, “You're not in charge of me.”
Brain let out another laugh. He tried to hide how much he was keeping an eye on her by adjusting his fedora every so often. Walking along the high stone fence was an act of defiance and proof of how balanced Sabrina thought herself to be. Did that stop Brain from being ready in case she tripped? Of course not. Why would it?
“Where are we going anyway?” Sabrina questioned as she looked at her own steps than Brain himself.
“How do you know we're not going to fight some Heartless?” Brain asked right back.
“Because you're usually more protective if we were. Fussing around with elixirs and potions and stuff. Especially if you think that it's going to be a big one.”
Brain was quick to hold the rim of his fedora a bit lower over his face. “I'm not that bad.”
“Sure, sure.” the girl shrugged off. And so she remained on the fence as they continued to walk along. It was quite awhile before they reached the end of it- while also being quite close to where Brain wanted to take them.
“I dare you to flip off.” Brain smirked as Sabrina stood with her toes to the end of the fence. For a moment, you could see the child consider doing just that.
“Nah.” Sabrina said with a shake of her head. Instead, she hopped down- making sure that she bent her knees to lessen the impact. Even if it wasn’t the flair Brain had teased her on, it was still a bit presumptuous in its own way.
“Come on,” he laughed, “We’re almost there.”
Sabrina gave a nod as she followed him. It was a silent walk for the rest of the way, not that either of them really minded. They finally reached their destination with ease; a field that overlooked most of Daybreak Town. This particular area having a cherry blossom tree growing near the ledge with its roots exposed on the cliffside. Sabrina was quick to lean against the tree before sliding down to sit. Brain took a spot next to her, but remained standing. A warm breeze kissed their skin as they relaxed in the tree’s shade. It was beautiful. Memorable, even. But it was here that Brain had to tell Sabrina something important.
“The war is going to happen soon.”
Sabrina blinked, then looked up at Brain with a look of displeasure. “How do you know?” she questioned.
“Master Ava told me.” he replied without looking at her.
“Liar.”
Brain looked down and smiled at her “It’s true! Swear on my life, Wabi-Sabi.”
He had expected her little grunt of doubt.
“Even if I believed you, what does that have to do with anything?” the child then spat as she crossed her arms.
“I want us to make a promise.” he then said, taking a seat next to her. “A blood pact, if you will.”
Sabrina gave him something that crossed a stink eye and a glare. “What are you talking about?” she questioned, even scrunching her nose up.
“Since I know the Keyblade War is coming, and you know the Keyblade War is coming, then let's promise to meet up after.” he offered. He nudged her a bit to say, “We'll meet up where we usually do. Assuming Daybreak Town made it through the end. Deal?”
“And where are we meeting if Daybreak Town doesn't survive, smarty pants?”
“Our Chirithy will figure it out.” Brain playfully shrugged. “They'll still be with us, and they can go pretty far without us too, so it shouldn't be a problem.”
The girl gave him a small raise of her eyebrow before considering his offer. As she thought it over though, the more her face started to fall into one of conflict.
“Are you really sure that it’s going to happen?”
“I would never lie about this, Sabrina. You know I wouldn’t.”
Sabrina looked up at Brain. His sincere, almost scared, face caused a lump to form in her throat. He wasn’t teasing this time. He meant every word that he was saying. Making up her mind, Sabrina sat a bit straighter before holding up her pinkie finger.
“Pinkie swear.” she told him- her voice filled with authority.
For a moment, Brain just stared at her. Then a smile started to form on his lips. He brought up his own pinkie to link with hers, and after the two gave each other an affirming nod, Sabrina launched herself at Brain to give him a tight hug. The gesture had been completely unexpected, but he didn’t oppose it. Instead, he held her tight as neither wanted to let go.
. . .
I never really read the Book of Prophecies that Master Ava gave me before Darkness started to meddle with our new world. Or rather, show itself while we tried to figure out why we were in a digital Daybreak Town than the real one. It took me a greater part of a day to read through it. At least, it took me a day to go through the pages that detailed various enemies from the past, future, and now present. Everything else in the Book? Well, I wouldn't call it useless. At the same time, I wouldn't call it helpful either. The Master of Masters had written the Book in ways that spoke of ambiguity and a less than set in stone mentality. One part of the Book could have changed, and the rest could be rendered moot.
She wasn't in there. Strelitzia was never brought up too. What will become of my fellow Union leaders -my friends- is just as uncertain. There are small sections where I believe they are mentioned, but the wording of the Book… It's not obvious. It would take another generation to decipher just who or what it is referencing to begin with. If that.
I just want to know where she is. I need to know if she, like Streltizia, met a poor fate before the war. We're just kids. We all were. I just… I just want her to be safe. She's my little sister. She's the only family I've known. At the same time, I fear giving in to the same heartbroken rage that Lauriam is struggling against. Just… let her be safe. That's all I ask… Please.

[Kingdom Hearts] Busy Bees
Summary: By far, Ven’s got the most boring job at the flower shop; the cashier. Sitting day in and day out for someone to browse along the rows of flowers and gardening tools, then probably walk right out again. Sometimes an interesting thing would happen- but they were few and far between. [flower shop AU focused on UX kids][Part 3 in a series of oneshots][VenxOC][EphemerxOC/F!Player]

Roughly a week before Easter, and Ventus was spending his time rearranging some displays in the hope someone would buy one. It could have been worse- he could have been placed on Easter basket making duty. Strelitzia and Lauriam were already in the back making some. Even more so, at least he wasn't on Easter Bunny duty. That was an event planned for the last day of March most of the time. And, thankfully, it was Ephemer who became their Easter Bunny. Not that anyone else wanted to volunteer...
The bell above the door twinkled as someone came into the shop. Ventus gave a half-hearted look up to give a customer service 'how are you today?' before recognizing that it was just Brain. Trailing right behind Brain was his sister, Sabrina (to whom Ventus absolutely did not have a crush on because she would never give him the time of day). Sabrina was giving her brother a rather irate glare as she sipped on her strawberry milkshake. Likely because Brain was going on about some tech video he saw earlier.
“Why don't you get how neat it was, Sabi?” Brain teased as they lingered near the entrance, possibly so Sabrina could finish her milkshake. “This guy was able to encode a full 5 minute video on a 3 inch floppy disk, and the quality was amazing. Amazing for what it could be, of course.”
Sabrina took her lips off her straw just to rasp, “Nerd.”
“Alright there peanut gallery,” Brain snorted, “I see how it is.”
He then attempted to mess up her hair, but Sabrina dodged it with a casual swoop to the side. It only lead to Brain to laugh at her even more.
“Oh!” he then realized, digging into a paper bag he was holding, “We got something for you Ven.”
Ven blinked, as if he were unaware of his own presence, as Brain pulled out a large muffin. Sabrina started to sip her milkshake again, starting to give Ven a rather judging look. He was more aware of her looking at him than the muffin.
“Are you guys going to help Strelitzia and Lauriam?” he asked, taking the muffin with care.
“Yup.” Brain grinned. “Even managed to drag Sabi into it because she needs something to do than staying at home managing her fashion blog.”
Sabrina huffed. “As if it's my fault that Elie Saab's idea of escapism is 'cirque du soleil' extravagance. 'Designed with his costumers in mind', my well manicured pinkie toe.”
“For the record, you should probably cover them with something.” Brain told her, pointing down to her feet. They were well manicured, and presently being showed off with lace-up sandals. “We're putting small bags of potting soil in the baskets this year.”
Everyone looked down at Sabrina's feet as she wiggled them a bit at the idea. After a moment, she just shrugged.
“I have a pair of socks in your locker just for this reason.” she informed him before starting to head toward the backroom. Brain watched her leave with a grin on his face, his hand at the brim of his fedora in an equal amount of fondness. He looked over at Ven -who started picking at his muffin with some interest- and his grin grew a bit wider, as if he were thinking of something amusing.
“You can come join us, you know. I'm sure Skuld wouldn't mind you abandoning the store front for back end stuff.”
“I… I'll think about it.” Ven carefully replied, almost timidly. “There's a lot of stuff to do...”
“Gotcha.” the older of the two nodded, tipping his fedora at Ven before also heading to the backroom.
Brain casually strolled into the backroom to see what kind of operation the Fleur siblings had concocted to get the baskets done. He was impressed to find that they came up with an assembly-line sort of set up. It started with the round wicker baskets they were going to place everything in, then someone would set a decent sized teddy bear in, then add small, unpainted terracotta pots with a bag of potting soil placed inside, then a young orchid, and finally a packet of flower seeds tucked between the orchid and pots. It was going to be a nice little display in all said and done.
“Look at you busy little bees,” Brain teased, “You need some food.”
Strelitzia, who had been measuring the potting soil to place in the zip bags, looked up at Brain as if she hadn't been aware they had arrived.
“You didn't have to do that.” she told him. She then worked herself up and brushed the soil off her work uniform. Sabrina -now wearing a pair of socks instead of her sandals- took a few steps back with a look of disgust on her face.
“How many baskets did Skuld want this year?” Brain asked Lauriam as he handed him a bagel.
“Twenty-five.” the pink haired man informed him. “That was the only amount of baskets she ordered.”
“Quite a bit, don't you think?”
“Seems like it, but we're in an outdoor mall and pretty well known locally. We'll get rid of them eventually. Speaking of, Skuld wants us to take picture of the baskets so we can put them up online.”
“We should have Sabrina do it.” Strelitzia happily suggested as she went to the sink to wash her hands off.
Sabrina scoffed as she took a stool to the prep table- right where the pending orchids and teddy bears were. “Because last time you used me as a marketing ploy, sales were so high that we had a party to celebrate.”
“You have a very marketable face, sis.” Brain teased, playfully rubbing her back. Sabrina let out another indignant scoff. The banter between siblings made Lauriam and Strelitzia go into a light laughter.
After everyone had something to eat, it was back to business. Strelitzia went back to measuring out the potting soil. Sabrina made herself the one to place the teddy bear and orchid into the basket, Brain sat beside her to get the bags of soil from Strelitzia so he could place them in the little pots. This then left Lauriam with placing the seed packets inside, and decorating the basket with a ribbon. Once they found a comfortable groove to work with, that was when the four of them started to talk.
And since she didn't come around that often, Sabrina was the focus.
“Have you found a new job yet, Sabrina?” Strelitzia curiously asked.
“No.” came the rather annoyed sigh. “At this rate, I might as well get into politics.”
“So we should all be afraid, then?” Lauriam mused as he carefully tied off a bow.
“El Presidente Sabi the Tyrant.” Brain remarked before giving his sister a teasing side glance. Sabrina sneered before poking him with her elbow. He poked her right back without shame.
“Have you thought about working here?” Lauriam asked, a smile on his face reflective of the fun environment. “You and Brain could carpool. I'm sure Skuld would arrange schedules so you two share the same shift.”
“Or share it with Ven.” Sabrina immediately spat back. She paused for a moment, as if she wasn't quite sure of what she had just said. It was Strelitzia who didn't see this hesitation, so she thoughtfully asked without meaning any harm;
“Have you and Ven started dating yet?”
“Strelitzia.” Lauriam quickly -but still oddly gently- admonished.
Strelitzia's cheeks immediately started to flare a bright pink. “Oh. Is that still a sore subject? I'm sorry. I didn't mean...”
“You're fine, Strelitzia.” Sabrina told her with a wave of her hand- not that the woman could see it. “It's not your fault that some people can't mind their own business.” She shot her brother a dark glare that he just as easily shrugged off. After giving an exasperated sigh, Sabrina then went on to say, “I don't see why I'm the one that has to ask him. I get that it's obvious, but I'm not the one that needs to put a spine in him. If he can't do something that simple, then I will wait- for him or otherwise.”
“Sabrina, I hate to break it to you, but not everyone can be like Ephemer.”
“Don't be stupid- Anora was the one who took the lead in everything they did. Probably still does.”
Strelitzia let out a snort so unflattering that everyone turned to look at her.
“Do you have something to say, Zee?”
“N-no!” the young woman stammered- her face becoming a shade so red, it could have rivaled a blossoming rose. “Not at all!”
“Some things never change.” Lauriam calmly noted as he went back to work.
Meanwhile, Ventus was doing his absolute best to grow a spine. He was caught in a conflict over whether they could really use his help, or if he just wanted to sit by Sabrina and make it less than obvious that he was admiring her. Other than that, he remained in the front as he tried to look busy in case someone came in. If he did go help the others, then who would come out to help a costumer than came in? There wouldn't be much of a competition, would there? Everyone but Sabrina was still a clocked-in employee, after all.
It's not like everyone didn't know he liked her. Everyone at that stupid flower shop wouldn't hesitate to place the two of them in the same room so something would happen. If Ventus went back to help, and a costumer came in, he'd almost place a hundred bucks that Brain himself would go to help.
“You know what?” Ven mumbled to himself as he took a look outside the windows. There wasn't anyone that looked remotely interested in coming toward the shop, and so with a nod, Ven went to the backroom. His confidence in his choice nearly faded the closer he got. When he was just steps away from joining the others, Ven nervously cleared his throat before asking;
“Room for one more?”

Have you ever wondered why exactly Marluxia and Larxene wanted to 'overthrow' Organization XIII? Untill now barely anyone knew exactly why.
The Retconning of Lauriam/Marluxia
I have. I always wanted to know what they were really after. That’s why Marluxia’s portrayal in KH3 never sat right with me. It didn’t answer anything about why he was trying to overthrow Xemnas or what his true intentions were for rejoining the organization. And in KH3, they were trying to tell me that he was the same as Roxas. He had no memories of his past and he never knew who he was or even what he was after. I just didn’t buy that at all. It felt very contradictory to his previous characterization.
Marluxia was walking alone in the World that Never Was. It was boring in the castle. He’d felt that if he came to the Organisation, he’d escape his boredom. But truly, it was the same everywhere. He could certainly remember thinking the same thing in his human memories, but since becoming a Nobody the passing of days was superficial, he had no heart, and did not understand this or that.
When I read the novels for Days and CoM, it was obvious that Kanemaki was not instructed to write Marluxia as an amnesiac union leader time-travelling from the distant past. She was writing him as someone who knew exactly who he was as a human. She did know he was always bored, so she was aware of what he was like as a human.
Larxene cast her eyes down for a moment. “But I don’t really want or need a heart. It’s painful with a heart. Right now I’m pretty comfortable,” she muttered.
“Maybe that’s true,” answered Marluxia, and started walking shoulder-to-shoulder with Larxene.
He remembered what having a heart was like, and that it was painful. Although I don’t think Marluxia was supposed to have anything to do with KHUX, I think Strelitzia was always part of his backstory. She was created to be what Isa was for Lea, a character created just for him to be his motivation and explain his personality. I think he was always supposed to be fully aware that he had a dead sister in Days, CoM, and KH3.
“You’re Roxas, aren’t you? Let’s re-introduce ourselves. My name is Marluxia. I’m Number XI,” said Marluxia, in a gentle tone, looking at Roxas.
It was the first time he’d brushed with a Keyblade wielder, even in his memories. He’d heard of them, though.
And again, the novels make multiple references to his human memories, so Kanemaki KNEW his backstory and what he was like as a human. He had an ulterior motive for joining the organization, which was gaining access to the Keyblade. He was a normal Nobody who had all his memories from his human life and he said he had never seen a Keyblade wielder before, although he had heard of them. So, he definitely wasn’t a Union member, and Strelitzia wasn’t either.
Soon, a heart drifted up from each fallen creature, vanishing into the sky. This was another first for Marluxia—witnessing the harvesting of hearts.
If we gather enough of them…
But there was much to do before they reached that point. Still, the power of the Keyblade was truly marvelous.
With that power in my hands…
He and Larxene didn’t join that much earlier than Roxas did. They joined up shortly before they were sent to Castle Oblivion. They were very new. But they acted nothing like Roxas or Xion who had no memories and were completely clueless about everything. Larxene and Marluxia always acted very knowledgeable. They wanted to complete Kingdom Hearts, they just didn’t want to follow Xemnas. Unlike Axel, they seemed to know about Kingdom Hearts before they joined the organization.
“Why did you let Naminé go!? Without your meddling, the Keyblade Hero would have become our servant!” Marluxia’s body trembled with rage.
The rage of a heartless Nobody. I’ve been angry before. I’ve laughed. I’ve cried. By tracing those memories, I repeat those actions, in response to the situation.
In C.O., he even said he remembered laughing, crying, and being angry before. Again, nothing like the amnesiac he’s portrayed as in KH3. And of course, if Ventus had anything to do with his sister’s death, his reaction to meeting Roxas would have probably been a lot different.
Who am I, and why am I here? Those answers should be clearly etched in my memory—shouldn’t they? Do I really remember? Who knows the truth?
I only recall the name of that flower, that tiny blossom—the name and nothing more.
Was I consumed by the blooming darkness and pulled down into this lightless oblivion?
Please, little flower, I only wanted you to blossom forever. My dear little flower—Strelitzia.
Even in the KH3 novel — which now writes him as an amnesiac — he had some memory of Strelitzia. Strelitzia is a Bird of Paradise and means “freedom” and “immortality”. And he said he just wanted her to “blossom forever”. Marluxia’s behavior in CoM and KH3 makes no sense unless he had a motive that he was consciously aware of.
I believe Lauriam’s backstory was always basically the same, even if it wasn’t originally supposed to be told in KHUX. Lauriam had a sister he was obviously fond of, but he didn’t completely coddle her. He refused to help her on her missions and wanted her to become strong enough to carry him on her back. Strelitzia got killed because Lauriam encouraged her to try and be more independent. I’m sure he blamed himself for her death.
“Because Rapunzel is far too important. Atop her tower, she must remain out of sight, and live out her days with Mother Gothel.”
“And never see anyone else?” Goofy was confused, but Sora quickly caught on to the implications.
“But that’s like…locking her in prison!”
Now that she’d experienced the wonders of the world outside, Rapunzel’s life in the tower would be so much harder.
“That is exactly what it’s like. Rapunzel’s hair holds the powerful magic of healing. And yes, Mother Gothel wants it for herself. As do others. And, if Mother Gothel’s actions will protect Rapunzel, preserve her…then she is doing the Organization a favor,” Marluxia admitted shamelessly.
Since Strelitzia means “freedom,” I think it was interesting how Marluxia talked about Rapunzel. Locking her away and depriving her of freedom was just protecting and preserving her.
In the United States death is usually shown as a skeletal figure wearing a midnight black gown with a hood, while in Europe he is often depicted similarly, but dressed in white, which is the traditional colour worn at funerals in many places.
And of course, Marluxia is a reaper. The personification of Death itself. The woman on his final boss form was wearing a white hood, like a funeral cloak. It doesn’t make any sense for him to be a clueless amnesiac.
My memories are returning with my heart. A long time ago, Larxene told me that hearts are an inconvenience. Right now I agree—my heart is built of dark feelings. Sadness, pain, hatred—no, that’s not all. All emotions are coming back to life inside my heart, even love. Humans—I, now human—feel hatred because of our love. I know this. Darkness exists side by side with the light.
If there were someone out there who could predict the future of this world, I wonder if they would have foretold this outcome. I’m sure they wouldn’t be able to accept it. I wasn’t able to. Perhaps that is why I became a Nobody. Perhaps not.
It seems like Marluxia was unable to accept his sister’s death and that was why he became a Nobody.
I don’t think he was evil, but he was never depicted as completely innocent, either. He had “dark desires” and “ugly motives”. He knew exactly what he was after and it wasn’t just getting his memory back. It waters his character down to just say he was an amnesiac the whole time.
“It makes me tingle to think how easily you were duped! So close—we were almost there. This was our only chance to turn the Keyblade master into our puppet! But that—that jerk Axel—he used Naminé and betrayed us!” Larxene spat viciously and stalked toward Sora.
Everyone’s just been getting in the way, she thought. The Keyblade master, Axel, Naminé—they’re all just getting in our way. Why do they want to screw up all our plans?
All we want is…
I suspect that his original backstory was that he was scheming to find a way to bring his sister back to life. Larxene loved him and just wanted to help him, and they needed the Keyblade to do it. They both joined Master Xehanort willingly, thinking that another Keyblade War and opening Kingdom Hearts would bring her back. It just doesn’t make sense to me that Marluxia only remembers Strelitzia after he’s beaten by Sora. It felt like she was his goal all along. Saying he was an amnesiac the whole time is just a very convenient way to connect him to KHUX.
The Japanese name for his Mystery Gear refers to it as “Elegant Lily of the Valley”. They represent humility, sweetness and a return or start of happiness in flower language. In hanakotoba (Japanese flower language) the meaning is also “sweetness.”
Marluxia’s Mystery Gear was always hinting that he was a sweet person deep down. He just needed to overcome the death of his sister. He became a Nobody because he couldn’t accept it. I think his full backstory was supposed to be shown in BBSV2, and his story was supposed to be resolved in KH3 after his defeat, not left as a dangling plot thread for the future.

Organization XIII’s Trinkets
As in, which small objects do they like to keep and why?
Xemnas: He has a dried flower in his room. Small, orange with five petals; Ienzo gave it to him back when he was still going by Xehanort and was Ansem’s apprentice. Xemnas doesn’t really get why he’s keeping it, but he feels a strange ache where his Heart should be when he looks at it.
Xigbar: He still has Braig’s scarf, buried somewhere deep inside his closet. He can’t really wear it with the coat, and (being Luxu) doesn’t even really care about it, but trying to throw it away would require a lot of willpower, so he doesn’t.
Xaldin: A thin, simple silver necklace; a present from his past love. Of course, he’d claim he doesn’t actually care about it anymore, but it still exists within a securely locked box in the bottom drawer of his desk. He hasn’t looked at it in years, but he still can’t bring himself to throw it away.
Vexen: Vexen still owns his very first labcoat - Or what’s left of it. Even if it were still intact, it’d be way too small for him now, since he’s been into science from a pretty young age. It isn’t, though; during one of his experiments, he managed to mess up badly enough that there’s not much left. He never told anyone exactly what happened, but some parts seem to have been burned with acid, others look singed; the only other person who knows is Ansem the Wise, who worked on it with Even. Of course, now Vexen would claim he keeps it just as a reminder to never get distracted in the lab, but he might also just feel a little bit nostalgic about the time he and Ansem were just curious kids.
Lexaeus: Even though their weapons were replaced after becoming Nobodies, Lexaeus still has both his old axesword and Dilan’s old lance. They might have better weapons now, but he sometimes likes to think back to the time they were still guards in Radiant Garden.
Zexion: A black and white 24-piece Rubik’s Snake; he got it from Ansem the Wise at some point, and genuinely enjoys trying out new patterns. He’s amazingly good at it, too. He’d love to have one of the longer ones, though.
Saix: He has a collection of old pictures from when Lea and he were kids. Since the photos are over 10 years old, the quality may not be the greatest and there’s some wear and tear, but he still treasures them. As the norting continued, they were moved from being on the wall above his desk into one of its drawers, but even now he sometimes takes them out to look at them.
Axel: He still has the chakrams/frisbees he used as a kid. He doesn’t really use them anymore now - The other adult organization members would probably laugh at him if he asked them for a game, he never really thought about bringing it up with Roxas and Xion, and for fighting he’s got more effective chakrams now - but he sometimes takes it out to look at it. Remember the time he and Isa tried to cheer up a boy named Ventus who looks so much like Roxas.
Demyx: On the corner of his (admittedly rather messy) desk, there is a guitar pick. He’s never used it, since a) he plays sitar, not guitar, and b) he prefers to play with his fingers anyway, but there is something aside from his general messiness and laziness that’s keeping him from just throwing it out. It’s got a picture of a blooming Dandelion on it, and while Demyx has no idea how he got the pick, he sometimes spends quite a while just looking at it.
Luxord: Luxord usually carries his favorite die around with him in his coat pocket. Rather than wood or plastic, this one is an iron die; he doesn’t remember where and how he got it, but he is somewhat attached to it. Interestingly, he never uses this die to play games.
Marluxia: He owns a handpainted bookmark, showing a strelitzia blossom, a white rose, and something very similar to a grey tabby cat. The first time he saw it, shortly before he lost his Heart, he cried, though he doesn’t understand why. He’s tried to get to the bottom of it through the meanings of the respective flowers, though he hasn’t found an answer that makes sense. It’s like a puzzle he just HAS to solve.
Larxene: She has a small pink purse with a white star, hidden somewhere deep inside her wardrobe. She’s not going to admit to it, but whenever she looks at it, she feels like she’s missing something. There’s been more than a few times that she threw it in the trash can in her room, but every time, she ended up pulling it back out and putting it back in her wardrobe.
Roxas: He hasn’t had much time to gather all that many trinkets, sadly. Two things he values quite a bit are one of the seashells he got from Xion while he was asleep, and the “Winner” ice cream stick, things that remind him of his best friends.
Xion: Similar to Roxas, she didn’t have much time to collect various trinkets. She does have quite a collection of seashells, though. Her two favorites are a rather spikey red one and a small yellow one.

HELP THE WEAK ; FIGHT THE STRONG !!
TL;DR: Ephemer is an independent private eye who helps Sora’s gang by providing them with information that he gets a hold of. Current goals are to expose the secrets of the corrupt government and solve the mystery behind a disappearing girl !
Disclaimer: Foundation of this verse belongs to @lightmimic who owns my entire goddamn soul.
We all seek a purpose in life. For some that purpose is being a mother, and for others its removing waste off the streets — sometimes with a shovel, sometimes with guns, and sometimes, in Ephemer’s case, with information. At first, he finds this life through being a cop, starry-eyed and full of idealism on how he’s going to help the world. He makes friends with a fellow officer with dark hair and similar ideas to him named Skuld. They make a good team — the best team — as they gradually move up the ranks as partners. Life is good; life is great. They become detectives, and he thinks it’s all he ever wanted, but in reality that was when it all fell apart.
He wanted to save the world. He wanted to solve the unsolvable and bring justice to those that deserve it, but the real world doesn’t leave room for such goals, such naivete. The real world is grim, corrupt, and he finally learns this from the seat of a detective. The higher ups don’t care about justice; they don’t care about seeing murderers and con artists thrown behind bars. No. They only care about the money lining their pockets. His work leads to nothing more than criminals going free and the rich getting richer with little regard to the little folk. He can’t stand it, but at that point he was in too deep. He couldn’t see a way out.
But then he gets a case. He’s to sniff out names and addresses of all the members of the leading branch of the local Yakuza. The city is practically run by the Yakuza, and it didn’t take a genius to know that this request probably came from the opposing gang, The Organization. Ephemer had never been want for getting in the middle of gang wars, but he knew it would do him no favors to decline the case ( can’t save the world with your head on a pike and your body in the river, can you ? ), so he sets out with all the enthusiasm of a man at the end of his rope.
It isn’t long before he meets Xion, a young woman also wound taut at the end of her rope as she tries desperately to set herself free from the Organization’s grasp. Their meeting is small, fleeting, but it is just enough to allow Ephemer a front row seat to her escape. It is this very sequence of events that causes him pause in his mission. The Yakuza family she flees to is the very same that he is meant to be targeting. Should he continue, Xion would surely wind up back with the Organization, or mayhaps even find a fate far worse. He couldn’t be the cause of that. He refused to be.
So he offered himself to Sora, the son of the onna-oyabun and heir to the Yakuza leadership, hoping that he would show him the same compassion he had shown Xion ( if not compassion, maybe the information he offered up on the force and rival gang was enough incentive ). Thankfully it worked well, and Ephemer finally had the protection he needed to turn in his badge and go solo. Unfortunately, this also meant he had to leave Skuld. She was a lawful creature and he’d now found himself in a lawless world, even if it was in the name of truth and justice. She wouldn’t leave with him, and he couldn’t even bring himself to try and convince her. He wishes he could say that they parted on amicable terms, but there’s an inevitable tenseness when you bail on a trusted partner and they don’t agree with your decisions. Still, maybe it’s better this way. It has to be better this way.
Now a free agent, Ephemer was free to do things his own way. As thanks for their protection and assistance in his private cases, Ephemer continued to provide information to Sora’s gang whenever something of relevance came up ( largely things regarding Xion and her safety ). He refuses to fully pledge himself to any sort of organization again, but Sora’s gang is the first thing he’s had to a true family in a very long time, and both sides know where the other’s loyalties lie at the end of the day.
One day, a mysterious letter comes to Ephemer. It’s a case, the details written in flowery penmanship and the file smelling faintly of cherry blossoms ( it reminds him of an old friend; mayhaps that’s why he cared about it at all ). Apparently a girl named Strelitzia has gone missing and nobody is giving her the time of day. It seems simple enough, but what the detective expects to be a short case with a body waiting at the end of it turns out to be a much grander pyramid scheme. At first, every lead winds up a dead end. More people go missing, including another of his oldest friends ( a quiet individual, but one who means the world to him regardless ). Now it’s personal. He drowns himself in the case. Obsessing. Agonizing. He starts sounding like a madman conspiracy theorist to his friends, but he knows — he knows there’s something to all of this. Something has to give.
And something does.
There’s whispers on the streets. Something called The Dandelions that can take you away from this world and all its problems. This piques Ephemer’s attention. How could it not ? He digs deeper, eventually finding that The Dandelions are a group of people obsessed with discovering how to move from one ‘universe’ to another. They use some sort of drug or chemical called Lux to attempt this, but instead of their desired effect of travel, all it winds up doing is erase the user’s memories. The leaders of The Dandelions, known only as the Foretellers, repeat the process on all those that they manage to conscript over and over and over again, desperate to achieve their goal. It’s absolutely crazy, Ephemer thinks, a full blown cult taking hold of the city !! And sure enough, his very own friend is within the hundreds of victims of this scheme. He has a gut feeling that his missing girl is probably connected as well.
Unfortunately he was unable to do much upon this discovery. There was only one of him and too many of them, and, sure enough, they were backed by the corrupt government of the city. If he wanted to do anything about this, he’d need friends, and he’d need to dig up the problem from the roots. He needs to discover the identity of the Foretellers and find if there is anyone leading them. His sights are set high, his idealism driving him into uncertain, dangerous territory, but he’s too far in to back out now. Skuld, Xion, Sora — everyone ! They could scold him for endangering himself as much as they’d like, but if no one else was going to do something about this, then it was up to him.
This would be his atonement. This would be how he could save the world.

Please tell us more about doll au! I really want to know more about this! I already love it!
AKSDLJKAHFKDASHD. OF COURSE!
I’ll put it under the cut, even though it’s really not that much if you saw my tags in the other post, cuz that kinda summed it up. It’s just a silly AU and the closest I’ll follow to canon in a way…*pauses* Okay I lied, angst is at full blossom here:
The whole AU is literally this song (TW for body horror, kinda??? The character of the song kinda falls apart at the end, so I guess it counts? Also TW for death and a gun, with a little bit of blood near the beginning):
youtube
(This was the only subbed version I could find, but it’s bad quality and the song itself is kinda old based off the quality, good ol’ 2008.)
Anyways time for the nitty gritty details, cuz the AU mostly follows the song, but not completely (but then again all these notes are just an outline, so who knows how much I’ll change later on):
Blaine is a little doll (without his hat) that Strelitzia finds just laying on the streets. Where’s he from? Nobody knows. No toy shop seems to have ever seen him before.
He’s kinda a mess when she finds him, but Strelitzia takes him in anyways to attempt to mend him or at least do something.
She succeeds in fixing him a few days later and she keeps him on her stand, right next to her bed.
When Lauriam came to visit a week later, he’s taken aback when he see’s the suddenly new doll in her room.
“Strelitzia…what’s that you got there?” -L.
“A smoothie.” -S.
“No, no the other thing! What is that!?” -L.
Strelitzia talks to him a lot when she’s upset, especially since she feels comfortable around her doll. Chirithy gets annoyed by this sometimes and will occasionally shove Blaine off the table. (RIP)
“Chirithy, did you push Blaine off the table?” -S.
“No…” -C.
“Chirithy!” -S.
“What!? It’s not like he’s gonna come to life and kill me for doing that!!!” -C.
Anyways there’s a lot of hugs from Strelitzia to Blaine, and tea parties between the two (or three if you count Chirithy, four including Lauriam).
She also starts getting into the habit of giving Blaine small hand-made hats, which Blaine later absentmindingly takes on in the future.
It’s just the good fluff~
Blaine starts becoming more self-aware as time passes by, starting to feel something towards Strelitzia, but has yet to understand it.
However, one day Strelitzia’s watering her plants and talking to Chirithy casually, but one of them accidentally knock him out the window. Chirithy notices, but stays silent. (Little did Chirithy know they screwed up big time.)
Blaine gets taken away by a strange person, and later keeps getting passed around, until the Master of the Masters gets a hold of him.
Without a second thought, the MoM brings Blaine to life. However, he specifically asks Blaine for one favor.
“Listen, I know we just met, but I need you to do something for me.” -MoM
“???” - B.
Of course the MoM’s a jerkface and requests Strelitzia’s demise to throw some ‘fun’ into his plan.
Strelitzia does get killed by Blaine in the end.
Though Blaine realizes what he did, right when Strelitzia stepped out the door and faded. Cue him breaking down for the first time and a crisis (linking to the ‘Why was I born?’ lyrics).
Meanwhile, when he goes to meet up with the other leaders, he immediately recognizes Lauriam, but the other doesn’t. Kinda feeling awkward around the other, he attempts to keep his distance, but can’t help but speak to Lauriam on a more personal level at times.
I can’t decide on the ending yet though. Cuz he could turn back into a doll??? But ehhhh. I’ll decide at some point, eventually. XD
Anyways, it’s kinda funny cuz I was thinking of this AU a bit before I heard the song for the first time. It kinda took form, cuz I thought Blaine’s eyes on his sprite kinda seemed…artificial in a way? Then I heard this song and it just clicked together.
#asks#anon#anonymous#thanks for the ask!#i dunno how to explain my aus properly even if i tried honestly XD#sorry if i sound boring or just plain old weird#my rambling doesn't give this au enough justice#all i smell is paint and i'm tired#dolls au

Flower of Paradise (KHUX Spoilers)
Little sweet flower that stands by that tree
Watching over these young souls, young like you and me
Live your life to the fullest, never let fear take away all the glee
that you find in watching that one single person, the one you still hope to meet.
Little sweet flower blossoming like the sun
Watching over these young souls with a smile which none
ever hoped to see in the lips of a girl who’d so easily fall prey to disguise
of the one she’d come to believe in, through whom she’d meet her demise.
Sweet Flower of Paradise, please come to me
Let the wind carry you so together we might see
Whatever surprises and secrets await, what trouble, and chaos and nuisance,
All the pain and sorrow it’ll bring, this tragedy that lay before us.
Little Sweet Flower of Paradise, Strelitzia, don’t be afraid
For our time will become legend and the lost souls will remain
In my mind I shall carry every memory of you, of your voice, of your kindness
In my mind I shall carry my deed, buried and hidden by madness.
----
Ventus’ thoughts in Kingdom Hearts Union Cross.
Based on the theory that Ventus is Strelitzia’s murderer.

one word prompts! | accepting
47. — stars
“...Laurel?”
They were curled up together on the roof of their apartment building --- well, he’s not sure if that’s the right term for it, but that’s what the boy in the room across from them had called it --- with a blanket over their shoulders, huddled together against one of the...chimneys. A lot of these new words were hard to remember all at once, names for the lost things that had never been anything but junk before, tools and objects for the tinker talents...but now they were gloves and pins and buttons and things they needed. It was so...everything was so surreal.
But she was here. She was here, so...
“Yes, Strel?” He asks, snuggling a little closer to his sister, taking her hand in his. “Is something wrong?”
She looks up at him, her brow furrowed, pale orange hair framing her face. She looks the same as she did weeks ago, before their world...before it was gone, before they were brought here with keys in hand and thrust into a world they as two young fairies hardly understood. They’re human now, for all intents and purposes, their ears round and their bodies normal sized and their wings gone (though even if his weren’t, they were torn to pieces and though Strel could help him fix them...she can’t if they don’t exist and no world will make them reappear) but other than that...she’s the same, and he’s the same.
“The stars are different.” She sounds afraid, her voice small, and she points. “I can’t find it, Laurie. The second star. I don’t see it.”
He turns to follow her finger, and...she’s right. He doesn’t see it, either. An ice cold bolt of something slides through his chest, and he squeezes her hand and leans forward, trying to find anything familiar, shifting to turn and look at the sky to the side and behind them. “...I don’t see it either,” he admits slowly. “But--- I do see some things I recognize.” That’s a start, isn’t it?
He reaches to take her pointing hand, pulling it gently to trace out a constellation in the stars above them. “See?” He says, smiling at her. “You know that one! It’s still there.” She blinks, studying it, and then blossoms into a smile.
“I do!” She says, relieved. “Maybe the second star is...hiding? Or sleeping. Maybe the darkness scared it away. Do you think so, Laurie?”
“I think so,” he agrees amiably. He doesn’t, in his chest, think that’s true--- he thinks that the darkness ate it with their home, the way a hungry hawk can eat a fairy when it swoops down from above. But he will never tell her that. “It’s probably just scared.” He looks over at her. “Just like you. You’re scared, I know you are, Strel. This is scary. It’s okay to be afraid. I’m scared, too.”
Strelitzia shakes her had. “No you aren’t,” she says, her voice small. “You’re never afraid. You can do anything.”
“That doesn’t mean I’m not scared,” Laurel --- Lauriam now, he thinks, because of his stammering fear when the other Anguis kids asked his name, and he doesn’t think he quite minds it. Laurel is special now, just for his sister -- tells her. “I’m as scared as you are, a lot of the time, as scared as the second star is right now. But...I have something it doesn’t, you know. That’s why I’m not hiding like it is. I have something special.”
Strelitzia blinks at him. “Special?” She asks, confused. “What?”
“You,” Lauriam says, smiling. “I have my sister. Even when I’m scared, like now, I know you’re right beside me, and because of that I can do anything. The second star doesn’t have anyone like that. So it has no reason to be brave. But I have you and you have me, so we can be brave together. Right?” He squeezes her hands gently. “Will you be brave with me, Strelly?”
Strelitzia giggles at the silliest version of her nickname, and smiles, fear fading. “I’ll try my best,” she promises. “Even if we’re in different unions, we’ll see each other a lot, and I won’t go anywhere. We’ll always be together, Laurie.”
“We’ll always be together,” he repeats, and lets go of her hand to out his pinkie. She wraps hers around his and they shake on it, promising the only way they know how. “Together forever, and I’ll protect you, I promise. No matter what.”
“No matter what,” Strelitzia repeats, and snuggles close to him beneath the blanket they share beneath the stars.

@diverse-hearts-ocs asked: “I wanna give Sehun his present in person
Unprompted - always accepted
“ You should, Strelitzia. “.
All Miran could truly do there, was to encourage her little sister. There were times, when their brother was only hardly to reach - especially at those times. She could only take a guess why. Was he medicine student after all and as rebellious and different as he was from the rest of their family, he studied hard. He always had been the one, who did his best if something took his interest.
Sehun always had been such person, even when they all were still children.
“ How about we call him and ask if we might can come to visit? “
