this single piece of dialogue spurred my autism so here are Org. 13 poker league headcanons.

(note this is after the castle oblivion group leaves for C.O., so im interpreting this as meaning half of the ppl in C.O. are half if the poker league)

members of the league:

luxord: runs the league

xigbar: there for shits and giggles, and to rile up some of the more prone to anger members

xaldin: tries really hard to win. has that kind of anger that builds up to the point where it feels like hes suddenly pissed so far off out of nowhere but its just been slowly rising the whole time

vexen: here to prove his intelligence. he sucks at poker. he usually rage-quits and leaves mid-game. the rest of the league prepares for this by making a different bracket ready for his inevitable hissy fit, without his knowledge

lexaeus: wins semi-occasionally, but mostly here for fun. hes incredibly calm as a result of his superior control of his anger, and doesnt get too invested. best pokerface of the league

larxene: wins very rarely, but always has the most biting trash talk and acts like shes the best at poker ever. gets sooo mad but it comes in waves and she never stews on things for long. definitely the loudest though. she also actively cheats almost every game

xion: VERY occasionally in the league. she stumbled upon the leagues secret game room during a game on accident, and xigbar thought it would be funny if she joined. she has zero idea how to play, but even so, once in a blue moon she wins by sheer luck, and despite everyones temperments, no one can help but be so taken aback and estatic at this statistical wonder every time. also i lied, SHE has the best pokerface (sorry lexaeus)

I can’t tell what instrument Larxene has. I thought it was castanets and someone else suggested egg shakers but both are not traditional orchestra instruments so it’s really just weird

neat that both Xaldin and Lexaeus are playing the BIG percussion instruments, and both Axel and Saix are playing woodwinds (harp is a stringed instrument too so i make no comment on the strings)

There’s no [x]ylophone pun unfortunately because those huge tubes indicate that’s actually a marimba both Xion and Roxas are playing. There is however a pun in the fact that it’s a KEYboard instrument. also they’re just adorable

actually I just remembered that instrument names aren’t common knowledge, here they are:

Xemnas is the conductor/orchestra director; Xigbar on saxophone, Luxord on trumpet, and Marluxia on trombone (that’s our brass); Axel on flute and Saix on.... it’s hard to see but I think that’s an oboe (woodwinds); Xaldin on timpani, Lexaeus on bass drum, Larxene on... something??, and Roxas & Xion on marimba (percussion); and then Vexen on harp, Zexion on violin, and Demyx on double bass (strings)

Marluxia why are you holding a flower I know you have an aesthetic but you need both hands to play a trombone

There are 3 main instrument sections (kinda) that are the “obnoxious know-it-all” instruments, stereotyped as generally having a superiority complex over the other sections because they’re soooo important look at meeee carrying the melody: the trumpet for band, the 1st violin for orchestra, and the soprano for voice (and the secret 4th, the flute for woodwinds). With that said, of course Zexion would play violin

And following both that and his Mystery Gear in 358/2 Days, it would have made more sense thematically for Xigbar to be playing the trumpet. however the saxophone is the funny meme instrument so it still works

There is NO WAY Demyx is a double bass player. It’s the only instrument besides percussion that you have to stand up for (though some orchestras do have the bassists sit on stools), and it’s much more work to actually PLAY than the other string instruments, by virtue of being much bigger. they tend to play less than most other stringed instruments, sure, but if you want to be sitting around not doing much you’re best off picking a different instrument entirely, especially since string sections tend to require more unanimity in playing than the brass/woodwinds/percussion since there’s more people playing each part

harps are rare to include in compositions. they’re very nice and melodious though. idk what this says about Vexen

generally there’s not enough percussion players to cover every single instrument which means that Larxene is definitely running around to cover all the small parts (whatever she’s holding, it’s definitely percussion)... actually with Xaldin Lexaeus Roxas and Xion in percussion as well she might not have to but she is the speedy one so

I hope what Saix is holding is an oboe and not a clarinet because if it’s an oboe we get some more symbolism, as well as some very nice... dynamic between his instrument and Zexion’s :)

you see, the oboe is the instrument that tunes the entire rest of the orchestra. whatever the oboe’s A sounds like will be the A the ensemble matches. one could say it’s the most important instrument

HOWEVER, the first chair of 1st violin is nominally the most important instrument- that’s the “concertmaster”, and they get to walk on-stage after everyone else (but before the conductor, obviously). they’re also important for real- based on the repertoire they’re basically guaranteed to have at least one solo. they sit at the very front, right next to the conductor. in my orchestra the concertmaster has a little biography in the program along with the conductor’s

there’s actually multiple rounds of tuning- the first couple it’s the oboe doing their thing and the other non-string instruments matching, and then the last round the concermaster matches the oboe, and then the string instruments match the concertmaster.

and that’s all so very interesting, isn’t it

and finally

Xemnas is 100% a garbage conductor. To the audience he looks very cool, doing all his sweeping motions, but it’s impossible to follow as an orchestra member, so you’re really on your own because the conductor is not conducting properly and not giving helpful cues

Kingdom Hearts Headcanon: The creepiest thing Vanitas has ever said would be something extremely subtle which hints that he knows more about a member of the Real Organization XIII’s past history than he should

Random headcanon:

In KH3, Repliku looks up to Ansem (SoD, of course) and thinks he's the Coolest Guy Ever. He spends a lot of time just following Ansem around and wants to one day show as much mastery over darkness as him.

(This is mostly inspired by that one line where Repliku refers to Riku getting possessed by Ansem in KH1 as their "finest hour")

Ansem finds Repliku a bit annoying, but he does like having a Riku around that actually follows his lead, even if it's not the real one, and it's a nice boost to his self-esteem as well (which he needs, since he knows he's just a glorified pawn in Xehanort's plans), so he's not complaining.

When I tell you this man MELTS!!!!! He'll just wrap you in his arms and the two of you will sleep like that till morning.

Xeha loves it when you wear his stuff. It's like a signal saying that you're his and his alone.

And when you wear his shirt to bed, he fucking loves it.

He does get a little turned on but nothing too crazy.

Sometimes, he's just too tired to take care of it, and sometimes you are too. Other times, it just leads to soft, sleepy sex

Vanitas:

Okay, we all know that Vanitas wears that somewhat ugly suit but for the sake of this fic, we're gonna give him some actual clothes

Like Xeha, he loves it when you wear his clothes.

And yes, he does get turned on when he sees you in them.

And when you wear his shirt as pj's, you best believe his going to pound town

And, yeah. You're gonna be wearing his shirt more often for bed

- Aroace Ienzo in a QPR with Demyx

- Autistic Ienzo

- Ienzo gets overwhelmed at things being messy but also feels overwhelmed at the idea of cleaning

- Trans Luxu

- All of the foreteller’s have ptsd

- Aroace Ephemer

- Trans Brain

- Brain pretends to like black coffee but secretly still uses creamer

- Ira and Aced are the oldest of the foreteller’s, Invi is a year younger, Ava, Gula, and Luxu are a few months apart

- Brain is demisexual and Lauriam was his first crush after they became friends

- Ansem x Even in a QPR

- Xigbar tried telling the foreteller’s minus Ava that MoM actually just screwed them over, Ira had the hardest time accepting it because he was the most devout to the masters teachings

- Luxu gets terrible nightmares for the first months after he possesses someone new but they eventually go away and he pushes away the guilt he has

- Aeleus is the one who found Ienzo and brought him to the castle and Even and Ansem adopted him

- Luxu always preferred using long distance weapons

- Apprentice Xehanort always felt out of place with the other apprentices

- After KH3 Ienzo is scared to admit he misses Braig since all of the others see him as having chosen the darkness and Ienzo knows that but Braig was still one of the ones who cared for him as a child

Azem Headcanons

[Author’s note: I always go back and forth on the Azem lore in relation to Zero and Mikhail because I do not make their story standard approach to MSQ but had eventually come to the decision that Mikhail is NOT Azem due to his dragon origins and dragons in ffxiv originate from another world separate from the one that was sundered and are basically like aliens. He does however gain the seat of Azem, inheriting the star stone Emet-selch had made in secret and could be said to have taken up their will, narrative wise. *Zero is one of the incarnations of the last person who inherited the seat of Azem but had decided not to join her mentor for she did not see this as the “Answer”.] 

Concept 

Zero not joining or being involved at all in the crisis happening in the Convocation of Fourteenth is because I’m personally interested in the first appearance of the Watchers making their first move on other worlds and assimilating it into their network of information.  The first move they make is releasing a flower that will consume anything and take the data it has accumulated and either BECOME or send a proxy out that can shapeshift into the thing that it killed.  Zero as Azem is sent off to investigate this rumor of livestock and people going missing. A few interviewees even claimed to see some sort of amorphous monsters bringing offerings to a spherical white object made of unknown matter. (A/N:*chimera ant arc meets To your eternity)  This thing ends up getting the better of Zero and on the brink of the final days being amplified by the despairing telethy birds she is killed and consumed by the Flower and later takes on said form of Zero and finds it to be the strongest they’ve ever consumed.  Upon trying to shapeshift into the Zero’s form and data collected from her, Zero suddenly gains consciousness of her situation and in one last act of self sacrifice asserts her will over the Flower and attempts to kill herself and the flower with it. For this life form called the Flower copies everything that is consumed including its soul.  Even if the Flower is incapable of processing such characteristics of humanity like feelings and emotions it will still absorb the information and try to culminate the data to the best within its given parameters set by its Creators. In an act of survival  it attempts to regenerate and revive itself but splits its power amongst five copies of the lifeform it absorbed called “Zero”.  The attempt at using creation magicks at its disposal ends horribly outside of its control as the telethy enacting the Final Days mutate the copies of Zero’s split soul and the Flower being that of a creation is susceptible to dynamis. All five copies of Zero, in a fit of fear and survival, flee from her attempt at rounding them up. With nowhere to turn for help in a situation outside of her expertise, seeing first hand what the Final Days is ravaging across the land with a plague of creation magicks and a Flower that is designed for its ceaseless hunger for apocalypticism. Amidst the chaos reaching a boiling point when the Convocation announces their proposal of the construction of Zodiark. None of her colleagues believe her story of a Flower Concept devouring anything in its reach without revealing that she too has been compromised by said blight.  Zero finds an unlikely ally in a powerful dragon far traveled from its star named Micheal.  To be Continued etc

Accord is of course monitoring and cataloging all of this. As this singularity and branch needs to be further studied for the ramifications it could hold for the future.

Any hip blonde crew headcanons. Like vexen larxene roxas ventus namine and demyx?

this is super late but heck yeah I do!

Vexen:

On some level, deep deep down, he knows that he can be insufferable. But he thinks everyone else is worse.

Always has a hundred things bouncing around his head, so he has a hard time sleeping most nights.

Which also means he's usually up really late working on things.

Is one of those people who would ask for help through gritted teeth if he really needed it, but then immediately turn and complain that they're doing it wrong and kick them out.

Tolerates Zexion more than the other members, but he also infuriates him more than the others. It's a double-edged sword, really.

Hates repeating himself, a lot.

Absolutely complains about people behind their back, but isn't above doing it to their faces, either.

Prefers not to sit still or lounge when he could be working on something.

Because of that, he isn't a big fan of leaving the castle for missions.

Larxene:

Her and Marluxia are pretty close to inseparable.

They get together to plot (obvs), but also just to complain about the other members or their missions.

Demyx is her #1 target because he makes it so easy.

But she will absolutely go after any member that irritates her.

Is absolutely the "I'll hate you first so you can't hate me" kind of person.

She has no idea what her hair is doing either.

Since she can control lightning, having her outside during a lightning storm is VERY dangerous!!

If she's bored, she will electrify the furniture in the Gray Area so whoever sits or lays on it next will get shocked.

Unfortunately, she gets bored very easily.

Roxas:

Would like to have a skateboard collection someday, even if he can't quite justify it.

Has an absolutely awful fashion sense. No one really taught him what looks good with what, so he just sticks with what he has.

Loves trying new food, even if he doesn't think he'll like it.

Has a soft spot for cats, kittens, and everything in between.

Skips breakfast most days and will argue with anyone who tries to make him eat it.

A tad overprotective of his friends, with a tendency to get angry easily.

But it's just because he wouldn't know what to do without them.

Ventus:

Because of Aqua's baking, he's a huge lover of all things dessert.

Has nightmares a bit, but usually can't remember them when he wakes up.

He also has no idea what causes them.

Is somehow both a cat and a dog person at the same time.

Doesn't handle caffeine particularly well and can mistake the caffeine rush as panic.

Absolutely stresses out over what to buy people when it comes to gifts and gift giving. He wants it to be the best present, so he can end up with five items for one person, each one he thinks outclassing the next.

Loves simple games and puzzles, even if he's not the best with them.

Namine:

Her handwriting is actually pretty messy!

Always puts other's needs and emotions before her own.

Would love to get into baking and cake decorating but isn't sure where to start.

Loves pressed flowers and will sometimes try it out herself, even if it does make her a little sad.

Enjoys sunlight and gentle breezes. Spring is definitely her favorite season.

Wants to be friends with everyone, but also feels like she doesn't deserve it.

Demyx:

He's actually pretty clever, but he only uses it to avoid his responsibilities.

Keeps the other's up at night playing his sitar.

Will try almost any food at least once.

Doesn't actually write down his songs. He just memorizes the rhythm, and then how to play it.

Will tune his sitar even if he doesn't have to just to keep his hands busy.

Hoards snacks, shares with Xigbar, Roxas, Xion, and Luxord.

Absolutely tries to sleep forever, but would get bored if he were actually allowed to.

Bonus!

Luxord:

The expert of minding his own business.

But because he minds his own business, people tend to talk around him.

He knows more inconsequential things about the other members than anyone else.

Enjoys playing cards with Xigbar, because he always cheats. It gives him the extra challenge of figuring out how to win without breaking the rules.

Is a stickler for rules, but is always bending them.

Kingdom Hearts Headcanons - Daddy!Xigbar has a daughter!

Calls her more cute names like “princess”, “ducky”, “puppet”, “kitty” or “sweetie”

She would be embarrassed about them sometimes but Daddy Xiggy never misses an opportunity to call her like this

When his daughter becomes old enough to have boyfriend, Xigbar would get VERY protective of his precious princess

“You’re too young to have a boyfriend just yet, young lady!”

“But Dad! I’m already 16!”

“I DON’T CARE! MY HOUSE, MY RULES!”

“I HATE YOU!”

“AS IF!”

But as soon as he gets to meet her boyfriend in person, he becomes more relaxed about it unless his fatherly senses tingle that they’re up to no good

Should his daughter come home with a girlfriend or tell him beforehand that she has one, he’s pretty much relaxed right from the start and can’t wait to meet them 

He used to have a good fashion sense since he always used to bring his daughter to elementary school and middle school. After she got old enough to visit school on her own, he lost track of it

He would allow his daughter to braid his hair

He’d also wear flower crowns and even make some with his daughter together

Sweet bed time with her: reading a fairytale book and lots of cuddling! When she has been a good girl, they’d even watch a movie together!

But even if she didn’t behave throughout the day, he can’t help but at least cuddle her to sleep anyway.

Also wouldn't mind playing with dolls together with her!

On Halloween he’s totally into wearing partner costumes with his daughter! Depending on what they’re going as, he also wouldn’t shy away from dressing as a princess

When friends of her are staying overnight he participates into pillow fights with them when they were little or building pillow castles

As his daughter grows older and gets fond of partying, Xigbar would gladly come along. Either to have his own fun or to watch over her because he wouldn’t stand it when boys are trying to hit on her. … Much to his daughter’s embarrassment

The only time where he saves himself from his daughter is when she’s on her period

Everytime Xigbar tries to soothe her, he sometimes pays with his life. Her behaviour and mood swings are unpredictable for him, so he backs away slowly and leaves her some space until she’s ready to approach him

Yet he still doesn’t go out of his way to buy her preferred hygiene products and also buys her sweets!

You and your boyfriend were just enjoying a gorgeous day in Radiant Garden. He had been working hard and needed a break. And what better way to do that than go for a walk around Radiant Garden. You were about to head into a cute café for a quick snack when a group of Heartless attacked. Your boyfriend quickly got you to safety while he took care of the Heartless. When he thought all of them were taken care of, another Heartless jumped and was about to attack him until you pushed him out of the way and a Keyblade appeared in your hand, shocking both you and your boyfriend.

Xemnas:

Xemnas is very confused. How did he not feel the Keyblade Legacy inside you?

He doesn't know how to use one since he never had one (NOMURA BRING HIM BACK AND GIVE HIM A KEYBLADE! NOW!)

But he'll help in any way he can.

What kind of king would he be if he couldn't help

Ansem:

Thinks that was super badass of you to do

He may not have a Keyblade but he will help you train whenever you need it

Just as long as this manwhore doesn't get horny during training

Spoiler alert, he does. Way too many times

Vanitas:

Is shooketh!

Like how and why the fuck did you do that?!

Like Xemnas, he didn't feel the Keyblade Legacy in you

But he will help train. But he's not gonna be nice about it
