I've been watching some footage from Starset's latest tour, and holy shit Dustin's crowd command has improved so much. Like, the Dustin from the Transmissions era and the Dustin from now are basically two completely different people. He's so much more comfortable front and center, he interacts with the crowd more, he's got the crowd in the palm of his hand. Even his voice has improved so much.

I'm just really proud of him, he's come so far in the last ten years.

we watched the return of doctor mysterio today and i have Many More thoughts but here are a few scattered:

the doctor trying to stabilize a time distortion in new york??? is he trying to get the ponds back?? after having lost clara AND river?

that's where i thought this episode was going and i spent the entire episode very disappointed that this plotline was never mentioned again

it never really hit me how american superheroes are until i watched superheroes from a brit's perspective. it felt very weird at first (especially the shots of American High School™️) but it was ultimately a sweet episode so oh well

fascinating to see the aliens repeated from the husbands of river song. did moffat just think they were a cool concept or are they gonna keep being relevant through s10

the woman playing the reporter was trying SO HARD to channel amy adams

i actually weirdly enjoyed having nardole around? and having the doctor be sad about losing river?

i know it's been more than 24 years since he lost clara but for the audience. we are going to be missing clara so much more than river. she was so important!!! mention her more!!!!!

i was expecting moffat to make a bunch of "male nanny" jokes a la rory as a male nurse but tbh i was pleasantly surprised. he was definitely Weird about it but i did expect way worse

finally: hilarious to me that baby grant's (lying) response to "promise me you'll never use these powers" was "sure". all americans do is be bisexual, say "sure", and lie.

i didn't like this episode half as much as the s9 finales (which were so deliciously upsetting) or the husbands of river song (which made me cry) but hey. it was fun! it wasn't bad. i'm still kinda amazed at that
