ive got an essay due at 3pm tomorrow and ive not even looked at it i am so so unserious about my degree and by the grace of some higher being i somehow keep managing to crawl through it's actually getting a bit funny

#me and an old friend of mine used to have a running joke during a-levels that im just one of those people where shit Works Out #and it started bc we shared two a-levels (english and economics) and in BOTH classes i regularly didn't do the homework #or the reading etc and yet it would ALWAYS work out for me #like we'd walk into a class neither of us having done the homework and they'd get yelled at while i went under the radar somehow #or that one english essay i got the highest score in the class when i literally hadn't even read the fucking book it was on #and when we pointed the theory out it started just becoming really prevalent #like no matter how late i am for things i'll arrive and by some miracle the thing im late for is also late (e.g a train or teacher)#like im just one of those people that has very very mundane luck #and low and behold i am fighting this degree with bloody fists putting the absolute bare minimum in for my own sanity's sake #and i SOMEHOW keep pulling through. literally failed two modules last year and STILL got a 2:1 average #and the last essay i wrote was the worst essay id ever done in my life and i get my standards are higher bc ik im good at essays #but the point still stands and you know what? i got a FIRST #literally was pure waffle i have never blagged it so hard and i got a FIRST #and all this shit just makes me cockier and cockier and go even more by the skin of my teeth and it ALWAYS WORKS OUT #it's soooo silly but im not complaining. anyway ill keep u posted about this essay <3 it's econ history so is actually interesting #but the most ive done for it is ask the sc ai lmao and for context degree-level essays usually require a good few days of graft #live love laziness #hella goes to uni

oh yeah tomorrow we have an assembly at school called Dunk Distracted Driving where basically they hired some company to do cool basketball tricks and say stuff like “don’t use your phone while driving a car”. and it’s mandatory

feeling irrationally annoyed with that dressmaking teacher who said you didn't need tacking stitches and should just pin and then sew direct on the machine because omg yeah tacking stitches add time but they make sewing so much easier and also I can try the fit of what I'm sewing WITHOUT STABBING MYSELF

There should be more content on the systemic rivalry of Curtain as a theatre kid and Milligan as a

#The other adults can be there too #Like Mr. B as the bookish kid and Garrison as part of the STEM club #(they impeached her as president because she kept pushing them to do *slightly* illegal activities)#OR #Even better it's like all of them being school teachers of different subjects #Curtain's still theatre and Milligan's PE #But. Like. Fun PE where he makes up adventure scenarios to motivate students and plays fun music and gets them engaged #Mr. B's the librarian #Number Two's the shop teacher and she's scary good at it #Maybe she also helps with lunches I'm not sure #And Miss Perumal's the Home Economics teacher and she's fantastic but also teaches self defense because “It counts as Home Econ”#Wait maybe Curtain's the principle too but nobody listens to him and he just sends out crazed announcements through the PA system #And all the teachers listen politely and then are like “Anyways—”#Maybe Rhonda's the Home Econ teacher actually #And Miss Perumal's the geography/social sciences teacher #Actually that's much better #And she takes the kids on the best field trips #But she Rhonda and Number Two still teach self-defense #Curtain doesn't want them to but Milligan lets them into the gym after school's over and hangs out with them while they do it #Actually I've changed my mind Moocho is in charge of the school kitchen #And sometimes he sneaks Number Two in there and they experiment together #Mr. B is the absolute best librarian and he's just so nice and comforting and supportive #He teaches a course every semester about internet safety and how to properly fact-check things so you know what's true #He makes the library super calm and inviting and it's full of soft green plaid plush chairs #And they're not just in the open spaces either #There's lots of little hidden areas where people can go and sit and read if they don't want to be bothered #He lets kids take naps in there sometimes if they're having a bad day #And gives them tea and talks to them #And then of course his brother shows up and tells him off for letting a student skip class #And he apologises as bunch (But he doesn't stop doing it)
