There are many imitations of the head butler's shades to go about (oh le foreshadowing). I luv them Addisons so much uwu (and yes, it's canon in my AU that when they are happy or angry, the nose curves up a little if you wonder (?)).

I'm still recovering from my mental fatigue so I decided I needed to practice the trio in a simple setup that wouldn't tug my brain too much... Also to show off Joel a little more since he has been the only one of the trio that wasn't being drawn as often as Spam and Sears.

Out of all your fights, all your opponents. This one definitely left a bitter taste in your mouth. You couldn't even hide the look of disgust on your face.

James Lee, DG, The Legend? Whatever. You held back a yawn as you countered his fist, bending it back painfully until you heard the telltale snap and crack of bone.

That hype? That reputation? The supposed feats with the first generation kings? What a waste.

He barely had time to react as you stomp your foot down on his, your sharpened stiletto piercing through skin and tendon. To think you put these on specially for him.

You rarely get angry during fights, your emotions tending to err on the side of deranged and demented. But this pink haired fool. You suppose you might as well have fun.

DG thought he had eyes and ears on all the notable people in Seoul, even maybe all of South Korea. So when you (dressed to impress, dressed to kill) approached him with a frenzied grin and laser-focused eyes, he thought you were just another fan.

You had peered down at a rough scrap of paper, trying to make out your own sloppy handwriting, now half covered in grime and dried blood.

"Jim, no hold on. James Lee?" you had asked. The man in white didn't answer you, but you noticed the way his body tensed. That was all the acknowledgement you needed before you made the first move.

DG sits with his back against the wall, his breathing laboured and stilted. He was certain he was unable to move - you having broken his wrist, arms, then ankles.

The initial anger on your face certainly alarmed him, but when it eventually melted into a teasing look, his hairs stood on end.

Despite his history, he had never been in the presence of such violence and intimidation before. Years since he had even felt an ounce of threat.

"Tsk," you lean down and roughly grab the back of his head, forcing him to look at you, but his eyes are bleary and focused. "What an anticlimax."

You never thought a man of his reputation could be so delicate. The blood and dirt, swollen cuts and broken bones, all mar his previously pristine appearance. You let out a giggle as you consider leaving some scars on his pretty face, that would be a fun one for this idol to explain.

But your eyes flicker over him. He really is too pathetic to be worth anymore of your malice.

Instead, you place a kiss upon his forehead, relishing in the way his body trembles beneath yours.

You see the red lipstain stain adorning his bruised and battered body and smile.

You got me into Detective Grimoire and Tangle Tower and now we're getting The Mermaid's Tongue!! aaaaaaa!!! When do you think we'll be getting it? I hope it'll be earlier half of 2024 because I'm so excited for it!!

aaaa it makes me really happy knowing people have gotten into detective grimoire through me, it's such a good series so i'm glad it's getting more eyes on it! i think it's really cool that a lot of the recent attention the game has gotten on tumblr seems to be a result of word of mouth / artists getting into the game, ( i actually deiced to play tt because someone i already followed kept sharing allie's hawkshaw au and that got me curious about the game. ) hopefully, the fandom will be even more active soon thanks to a new game coming out. i'd love to see that!

as to when i think it'll come out, i'm also hoping for an early 2024 release since i'm impatient and want to play it as soon as possible. still, there's a lot of work that goes into creating games and i obviously don't want them to rush it out so i'm willing to wait however long it takes for them to polish the game. i'm thinking late spring / early summer at the earliest or early fall at the latest.

i posted a thread of these on twitter quite a while ago but i only just realized i never posted to tumblr- so here you go! in this google drive folder you will find reference sheets like the one above for most of the characters in dgs, including wagahai and toby! it should be spoiler free unless you open the spoiler folder. i also have a folder of all of the character models i have ripped from the game so that anyone can open them in blender! i even have the model for the old bailey in there in case you need a reference for it! (some of the models are old uploads and not all of the meshes are properly named/textured, i am in the process of going through and fixing them up) all of that said, i have not ripped every single model from the game, so if you have any requests for models/ref sheets that i haven't made yet, please let me know by DMing me either here on tumblr or on discord @/alaskanbullworm- you can also send me an ask about it. (if you want to request via discord, please send a friend request and then a message letting me know that you're there for a model request- otherwise i will probably assume it's spam and ignore it lol) unfortunately i am currently unable to rip the dlc costume models, as much as i wish i could. anyway, i hope these are helpful! :D UPDATE: i have found a way to use more color-accurate textures for the models- i probably won't remake all of the ref sheets but if you want to colorpick from the character models, i recommend doing it from the updated textures i am currently adding to the google folder!

Poor Sears, they always get pranked by Joel. Joel always picks on Sears’ “big head” to the point of calling it “circus tent”. Because they are good friends, Sears just endures through the pranks like they always do, with a chastising demeanour and a ton of patience. Spam just gets drag’d to the pranks by virtue of his candid self, or sometimes he’s also the victim of the pranks too. Anyhow, Joel is not a bad person, it’s just that Pink Addisons are known in my AU for being lively and somewhat cheeky, and Joel is no exception (well, barring the moments when he gets depressed when family matters starts to mortify him). Joel in a sense has more moxie than Sears and has helped them out in countless occasions, especially during Sears’ first days at the company. That’s why they are besties and why Sears tolerates his raillery with lots of patience.

Also if you wonder, the strange bug over Joel's shoulder is a type of Darkner called a tape-spider, which doubles as a pin-cushion too. Its name is Cuscinetto and all of Joel's relatives has one (customized to their owners' style) since his family has an important brand in fashion design and these bugs helps them a ton (though Joel fled that life to live something else far from the pressure of his family, he still works doing clothing and accessories ads, along with sports and fitness ones).

★ At some point, Michael gave Solomon the Ring of Wisdom (OM 29-5). The circumstances surrounding this are unknown, but the two are implied to be well familiar with each other, with Michael having gone on a long rant about Solomon to MC (OM 44-18).

Quick self introduction: I’m Mickey! I’m a 21 year old art major who’s working towards an animation degree (I graduated from my community college in May 2024 with an associates in fine arts!!). I use any pronouns so call me whatever as long as you’re respectful :)

i gotta say, I have a soft spot for Mariusz Kwiecień (he was my very first Don Giovanni, actually - that Met 2011 production was the very thing that got me into opera in the first place!), he's definitely THE best 21st century Don Giovanni to me. Acting-wise he's absolutely breathtaking and even if he cannot compare vocally with the old giants like Siepi I'd say he was pretty decent (i'm so weak for him singing that one ✨andiam✨ in La ci darem la mano in falsetto - he always does it and my legs always turn to jelly in that moment). Saw him perform it live only once and that was the moment i truly understood what the word katharsis meant. fucking CHILLS.

I really, really love Samuel Ramey (especially when paired up with young Furlanetto!). That hair, the little earring, that insane stage presence and energy. Also I don't think I've ever heard another rendition of Fin ch'han dal vino that would be as precise as his. It's a devilishly difficult aria, especially when done in the proper tempo, there is quite literally no space to breathe, it's insane - god knows I'm not an easy listener and bitching about opera singers is my personal hobby; but in the case of this one aria I am very forgiving and I usually just expect the singer to fuck it up with no hard feelings from me - but Ramey doesn't miss a single note!

And of course, of course - Cesare Siepi. I think he's the most legendary Don Giovanni and no wonder really. He's amazing, simple as that.

There are many good Giovannis out there, but those free are my personal favourites - though bonus points for... Bryn Terfel. I'm not a huge fan of his singing but that dude can act. Not to be a mean bitch lol but he obviously wouldn't be anyone's first choice (definitely not mine) for a character like Don Giovanni appearance-wise. AND YET - he somehow makes it work... chapeau bas (talking about that Met DG under Levine - say what you want about Levine, I hate that bitch as much as the next person, but he's one of my favourite conductors for both Mozart and Verdi... yikes).

if we're talking specific recordings... I don't have a perfect one, I'll always find something that I'd change, whether it be tempo or a singer. But yeah, I'm also really fond of that Muti recording! The tempi are insane sometimes, some are even faster than what I'd set myself and that's honestly impressive, brave and so so sexy of Muti fr. I think if I had to choose just one recording, that would be it. The cast is also good, especially the ladies. Vaness as Elvira (she's absolutely stunning, also as Anna with the amazing Jerry Hadley in that one Met Recording - also with Ramey and Furlanetto - she's THE soprano for all Mozart roles for me, her Fiordiligi and Vitellia are also legendary), Studer as Anna and I really like the Zerlina, I'm so tired of squeaky meowing Zerlinas like Battle and the whole gang...

Another two I like, though perhaps more for the singers than the conducting itself, are the one with Ramey as Giovanni, Furlanetto as Leporello, Agnes Baltsa as Elvira and Gösta Winbergh as Ottavio under Karajan and one with Sherrill Milnes as Giovanni, Walter Berry as Leporello and Żylis-Gara as Elvira under Böhm. I generally tend to concentrate on the singers more and only really notice the conducting when it's so awful that I just can't look past it lol
