“Wild and determined…” Beau mused, his words mirroring those used by Augusta. Briefly, he considered how they applied to her father. Instinctively, Beau knew there was a possibility that things could turn violent, especially if the older man caught Beau alone with his daughter. It was a prospect that sent a brief jolt of worry through the Sheriff, though as he felt Augusta’s gentle slap to the back of his leg, the anxiety disappeared.
Instead, a burst of warmth and desire shot through him. He looked down at her and grinned mere seconds before she gently began pulling him down towards her. Beau acquiesced, and in spite of Augusta’s continued words about her father, his contentment in her presence didn’t shake either. “Well, so long as I make you blush, I can take the risk of pissin’ off your daddy,” Beau mused, referring to her former words just as Augusta began wrapping herself around him. He pressed a sweet kiss to the top of her head and murmured “Campin’ out here is a-ok with me.”

Biblical References in Both RDR games.
I love biblical references so much. When it comes to literature, it's probably my favorite type of symbolism. Like I genuinely get so happy when I connect things to the Bible which is what I'm going to do right now 😊😊 I also like the way that religion is incorporated into RDR as a whole, including the main characters' reaction to it.
So yup, here are just a few references or connections that I was able to make in no particular order.
Also, some of these are complete reaches and I'm aware of that, but fuck it, it's my blog and I do what I want 💪🏼
- The character and tragedy of Issac. In the Bible, Issac is the child of Abraham who is asked to be sacrificed by God by his father as a test of faith. God eventually intervenes to save Issac because he only wanted to test Abraham's faith. Dutch is shown as a God-like figure to the gang, as their devotion is to him. Arthur, indirectly, sacrifices Issac by not being there and by following what Dutch wanted. Arthur, Issac, and Dutch are parallels to Abraham, Issac, and God.
- Leviticus is the book that comes after the book of Exodus. After the gang's escape or exodus from Blackwater after the Blackwater massacre, they are met by Leviticus Cornwall, who becomes the next obstacle for the gang. After the gang's exodus, they get in trouble with Leviticus.
- The image of the deer and a mountain. Psalm 18:32-34 in the Bible says, "It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way blameless? He makes my feet like deers' feet, and sets me upon my high places." In Arthur's condemnation of Dutch, Micah, and their evil, he becomes steady in his identity and beliefs, like a deer's feet on a mountain, which is where he dies in the end. W symbolism.
- The mission "Sodom? Back to Gomorrah." In the Bible, Sodom and Gomorrah were two cities that were so morally depraved and evil that God decided to destroy the both of them, saying that if there was even one good person in those cities, he'd spare them, but there weren't. In those missions, you also do two evil acts, going from one and then BACK to the other. You rob the bank and then go BACK to collect the debt from Edith Downes. So you finish one evil deed and to straight to the next. This can also show how morally bankrupt Arthur's apathy made him at this point in the game.
- Micah's guns say "Vengeance is hereby mine." This could be a reference to Roman's 12:19 "vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord." Micah's violent nature makes him take his anger out on the world.
- "Your father is seduced by him with the forked tongue. It's no use hoping." The blind prophet to Arthur. Pretty straight forward symbolism, it's a nod to the snake that seduced Eve, just like how Micah manipulates Dutch.
- Dutch walking away from Arthur when he dies and though he realizes his wrong doing and feels shame, his pride forbids him from apologizing or saying he was wrong. This can be a parallel to how Adam and Eve run away from God when they feel shame over believing in the snake, but their pride won't allow them to apologize to God, hence damning them like how Micah damned Dutch.
- There were twelve ACTIVE gang members before the Blackwater massacre. When I mean active, I mean gang members who are canonically consistent (so not uncle, Swanson, Strauss, or the girls) on going on jobs for the gang. Micah, Bill, Javier, John, Hosea, Arthur, Charles, Sean, Lenny, Josiah, Mac and Davey Callender. Christ had 12 disciples and Dutch is portrayed as a savior to the gang, or a Christ like figure. And would you look at that, there is a traitor in both groups of twelve (Micah and Judas).
- Both John and Arthur's graves have scripture from Jesus's sermon on the mountain (Matthew 5:1-12). John's is blessed are the peacemakers and Arthur's is blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.
- The go back for the money ending. If you go back for the money and have low honor, you'll see that the camp is engulfed in flames as you try to get the money. The fight with Micah is brutal and you die faced down in the dark. This death is an allegory for going to either hell and purgatory as you choose a final evil act of leaving your brother to possibly die just so you can get money as an act of revenge. If you have high honor, you are still surrounded by flames, but you still have a chance at heaven given that you die facing up seeing the light one final time.
- The help John ending has similar connotations. If you have low honor, you die by gunshot and are shrouded in darkness, which can symbolize the absence of God's light and how Arthur's final act couldn't absolve the lack of guilt he feels for the rest of the actions that he KNOWS are evil (click here for a my interpretation of Arthur's morality). In high honor, though, you get to crawl to the mountain side and see the rising sun, symbolizing heaven, warmth, and a new purity.
- In low honor, the coyote goes down to a dark cave, representing damnation and the rejection of holy light. In high honor, the deer steps into a heavenly field of light. Love that so much to be honest.
- Just the very Catholic vibe of Arthur's redemption. Doing good deeds, feeling guilt, all that.
- John's new life is basically this: "Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need." -Ephesians 4:28. John gives up his old life to be an honest laborer, a rancher, and a proper man.
- The Strange Man in RDR rides on a donkey, which is pretty interesting because Jesus Christ also made his grand entry on a donkey.
- Just the Strange Man in general to be honest. Some say he's God, others say he's the Devil, and others say he's Cain from the Bible, which is my personal favorite theory but whatever.
- Dutch's horse could be a reference to Revelations 6:8- "And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him." Dutch's rash actions caused the death of the gang and RDR's incarnate of Hades or Hell was Micah, following him. Dutch is the only one, canonically, to have a pale horse.
- "Am I prepared for eternal damnation? Am I passed any kind of saving? Or is that just fairy tales?" Arthur in his journal. I love this line so much because of its very agnostic nature whilst still showing the Christian mindset of 1899 America. This line also shows that Arthur is canonically agnostic which is a yippee from me because it's like the only thing me and this man have in common lmao 😭
- "Bad news awaits you, sir. Sadly, sooner than you think. But beyond the news, paradise awaits. Paradise.." Blind Man Cassidy to Arthur. Sorry but I just love that. High honor Arthur lived such an awful life but he still has a chance at paradise and heaven? Love that so much.
- God (pun intended), I love biblical symbolism. Couldn't you tell?

tags: 18+ minors dni, a/b/o verse, fem reader, omega reader, alpha john, licking, marking, themes of jealousy and possessiveness. for @prettyboykatsuki with their explicit permission.
synopsis: jealousy comes knocking on our door no matter what or when or why.
Tumblr media
He doesn’t smell like you, it’s the first thing you realize when John Marston walks back into camp after taking Old Boy to the horse hitches with the rest of them. It makes your body twitch and stall for just a moment - you spill some water on the table that Mr.Pearson reprimands you for and you can only half apologize. You watch with sharp eyes how he moves, how he walks and how John easily slots himself next to the other men at the table with his hands on his gun belt even when he is passed a bottle of whiskey.
The camp is large and has a variety of scents and smells, one gets used to them and you can identify them as easily as picking out the white clouds from the blue sky. Pine for Charles, lavender for Mary-Beth and firewood for John Martson who is currently being covered by the scent of roses and cherries that you know no one at camp smells like and it makes something inside of you insane at this outsider’s scent. It’s enough to make you excuse yourself, marching over to the scarred man and tugging him behind you, away from the men who watch with amused expressions on their faces as John almost trips with the force you pull him into your shared tent.
The thick wooden beam that supports the middle of the tent is your witness stand as you push the taller, broader alpha to the wood and hold him there by the shoulders, nails digging through the sleeves of his coat. There’s an alarmed undercut to his firewood and brandy scent, agitation and nerves biting against your own as you bare your teeth at him.
“What is it with you, woman?” He asks you, dark brows furrowed and his scowl on his scared face would make anyone cower but you with your stubborn fearlessness that you push him further against the wood as the sweetness of your foreign scent turns sour in your agitation.
“Why do you smell like that - like some, fucking tramp?!” You hiss, voice low but venomous and John has no doubt that if you had a tail it would be flickering behind you with your jowls peeled back like some sort of feral hellcat. John frowns, brows pinched as he tries to free his arms from your grip.
“What you mean? I smell fine.” He throws back, bringing the lapel of his jacket to sniff half heartedly - picking up on nothing out of the usual. You puff, muttering some words under your breath. The only ones he catches are calling him the village fool as you crowd him, pressing yourself flush to him and John is happy that you closed the tent behind you so no one at camp can see how the fullness of your figure perfectly melts into his. There’s a flush to his cheeks that was not there before and you can’t notice it on how you feel sick on the scent of roses. On the tips of your toes, you press your face onto his neck and rub against the scent glands there. Pressing and rubbing until your cheeks shine with the scent of firewood and musk and brandy as you huff into his skin. Your tongue sneaks out to lap at the oils and John jumps beneath your silken touch as you moan softly against his flushed form. The salt of him melds onto your mouth as his scent clouds your mind and the sour-mango scent fogging the enclosed space of the tent blooms in golden nectar and clove.
It’s enough to make him moan, enough to make something heady flush in his mind as your teeth once bared nip and suck until the alabaster skin of his throat turns into purple petals of the jarul flower you would catch along the coasts. You pull away only to be tugged back and John’s voice is reduced to raspy little sounds in your ear as you lick, bite and suck at the other side of his neck until you can see the indents of your teeth as red as a sunset. If you could, you would have stayed there for hours, scenting and marking your John until he reeked of mangos and clove and henna leaves and so many things from the other side of the world.
“You’re mine, don’t ever - don’t ever come back smelling like you ain’t.” You mutter in between nips of your sharpened teeth.
So he’d never smell of anything other than you ever again.
But his name is called by Hosea, who’s voice is like a spear of sobriety through the veil of omega-posession and alpha-want that makes you pull away. John is a vision and you are too, red faced and panting; face slick with drool and oils from his scent glands. Dark eyes look at you with a wanting so deep you are tempted to disobey Hosea’s call until it rings out again clear as day. It makes John swallow, ducking his head and running a scared, calloused hand through his head as he nods to you.
“I’ll see you later, um…okay. I’ll see you tonight. Here.” He mutters, ducking away and out the tent flap cursing when he hears some of the men holler at the marks on his neck and the heavy scent of omega on his clothes. You find yourself unbothered as you step out and return to Mr.Pearson who finds himself unable to look you in the eyes.

Information: Request Page / Master List
Tumblr media
What I'll like to start off with first is that, I'm not a very proficient writer. I'm still learning how to improve my writing skills and this is one form of doing so.
Second, my mother tongue isn't English. Because of that I'll like to hensthforth apologize if you see any errors on my use of Grammer.
Now then, I'll also be using this as a form to keep track of what I've written and at the same time it'll let you all see what I'll possibly write and take requests of.
Speaking of requests, I do have some ground rules of what I can accommodate with and what I will not tolerate at all.
Rules / Warnings
Most, if not all, of my writing will include a yandere character. Being a warning itself and knowing some people are uncomfortable with the concept it's best to put it as the first.
NO PEDOPHILIA AND NO INCEST. In general it's just vile and disgusting.
I won't be writing the trope where a grown adult is attracted to a minor. In general, I won't write about it as romantic. If it's platonic, it's alright, like a family dynamic but romantic is a no.
I will only be writing about sapphic literature, which is a person having a romantic attraction towards a woman. So, no, I'm not gonna write a heterosexual piece of writing.
I will not be writing about sexual activity. Just because I write yandere characters it doesn't mean I'm willing to write about them having sex. I can permit a "make out session" but I won't write about sex.
No kinks, please don't ask or request about this. I find this subject very uncomfortable whenever I read a piece of literature that involves this and just imagining myself writing about it is a no for me.
Just because you requested doesn't mean it's going to be finalized. I have a job and an education to worry about and it gets quite difficult to finish a piece of literature with that piled up and in general.
Keep in mind that if you requested, it will take a while for me to finish it. For starters, I'm not a fast writer either so expect it to be done in a week or more.
Be respectful and polite whether you request, comment, or just in general. Just, don't be rude.
I won't be writing about celebrities, actors, singers it's just I won't write about them. ( One of my friends already writes about them, so they basically called dibs on that.)
If you're going to request, please be specific. I prefer to go off something rather than nothing at all. For example, "I want you to write about [ character ] having a manic episode and killing in which [ reader ] caught them doing the act and ran away, etc." just tell me what you visualized in your head and I'll try to make it happen.
Be specific on the age as well. If not I'll just assume it's a grown adult, teenager, or an infant.
If I need a break in writing, I will tell you all, or if I want to close requests to finish the ones I haven't done, I will tell you as well.
I can do two or more characters with "reader". For example, the Dimitrescu daughters with [ reader ], whether it's romantic or platonic, the Weasley family taking [ reader ] under their wing, etc.
These rules are easy to follow.
If I ever need to add more rules I will, Now that we got the simplicity out of the way.
What is Marked in Red will be the fandom and character most likely to be written about and taken requests of.
What is Marked in Blue will be written and taken requests of but will be less frequent.
What is Marked in Green is in the middle spectrum to be written about and taken requests from.
What is marked in orange will be less likely to be written about and taken requests of.
Finally, what is marked in pink will be the least likely to be written and taken requests of.

vera isn't dumb, she knew when she killed that dumb, fat bastard at the saloon in valentine, she'd get in trouble with the law. he was a rich man, and being rich means you can do pretty much anything you want and get away with it. that includes beating on girls, not taking no for an answer. vera grew sick of it, decided the best thing he could do for her was die. so she killed him, way too easily she might add. she didn't leave empty-handed-- made sure to take his jewels, his very expensive and thick coat. oh, and his horse too, of course. then she rode long and hard to saint denis, sold one of his rings to get herself a nice little inn room in the meantime. it's been two weeks since then-- and she's gotta say, being a nasty thief and thug is much better than being a saloon girl.
it's late now, and as she rides through the swamps to get back to saint denis, she suddenly notices a feller riding too close to her. he's not really trying to hide himself-- big bastard is too big to hide anyway, but vera is uneasy. paranoid. so she pulls her pistol closer to herself, the large coat she stole from the dead bastard hiding the motion easily. "gorgeous night tonight, huh? would be a real shame to have it ruined by a gun fight or somethin' similar," she says out loud, head turning towards the stranger, her blue eyes focusing right on him. she's never seen him before, and that only makes her anxiety worse. @finalslay

Beau Hayes - 41, heterosexual, Sheriff (Wild West/RDR2 AU - 1901)
Written solely in beta editor
Connection Ideas - Lover (can be any of fiancee, girlfriend, or old friend in connection)
++
“I don’t know, darlin. It’s a pretty long ride back down to Valentine from here, but will that stop your daddy from coming up here to look for us?”
Such a statement wasn’t the kind of one to expect from a Sheriff, of all people, and especially not from Sheriff Beauregard Hayes. Since assuming the feted role a year prior, following his corrupt predecessor’s murder, Beau had brought integrity back to a town previously seeped in inequity and sin. Naturally, Beau couldn’t have purged every last bit of sin, nor did he want to. He knew a certain amount of indulgence was healthy for a town, not least himself, given his little-known but firmly held weakness for the flesh, or rather the flesh of the woman beside him.
Beau set his binoculars down, switching the streets of Valentine from up close to a more distant speck far below them. He turned to his companion and grinned. “Not to imply I’m scared of your daddy, of course. He knows I should really look into those little poker games he hosts in his barn, for example. But, any man feels protective over his daughter, especially when they’re as fine lookin’ as you are, doll.”

VERSE INFO - RED DEAD REDEMPTION
AGE: 35
OCCUPATION: Farmer, but like. Not good at it
SETTING: Various — The Years 1899-1907
Caleb is an ex-soldier, one haunted by his past indiscretions in being drafted to fight in the Messiah War (or RDR-universe equivalent), a battle between the US Army and Indigenous American tribes in which the federal government broke established treaties and provoked many tribes into violent retaliation to justify attacking them in response.
At first, Caleb doesn't know any better, he's a boy of 19 manipulated heavily into thinking he's doing the right thing, coerced into following orders that go against his moral compass. He's prescribed opium by his unit's army doctor to cope with his resulting anxieties. Gaslighted about certain actions the army carried out. Told these things never happened at all or were performed by someone else and that the army is blameless. He gets the feeling this isn't true, but can't prove it. He relies even heavier on opium usage and becomes addicted.
Caleb's superior officers know it’s only a matter of time before he goes looking for answers to questions he shouldn’t ask, and they figure he’s so dulled by the drug, he won't even notice when they command another soldier to fire on him. The shot doesn’t kill him as intended, but it solves their problem anyway as Caleb can’t go poking around in military affairs anymore.
After he recovers from the wound, Caleb is given an honorable discharge and granted a homestead to settle at, where he tries to leave the past behind and build a new life for himself as a farmer. He's pretty new to farming and ranching, and maybe not completely hopeless at it, but definitely very inexperienced. A plot of land near Cumberland Forest isn’t really the best for someone just starting out, either.
To get by, he turns to work outside of farming. He doesn't really care who he's working for as long as they don't harm people he perceives as innocent. Sometimes that sense of innocence includes certain types of criminals.
Caleb is skilled with a wide variety of firearms due to his training from being a soldier, his preferred sidearm is a classic Cattleman Revolver (which I *think* is based on the Colt Peacemaker aka Single Action Army Revolver and would've been standard issue for military servicemen in the 1880s but. don't quote me on that).
His preferred longarm is the Lancaster Repeater (based on the Winchester Yellow Boy Carbine Rifle)
Whereas in Westworld, morality tends to be highlighted using the classic black hat/white hat dichotomy traditionally seen in western media, the RDR universe tends to base its view of morality on the dichotomy of red and blue instead (although some hat symbolism is still present and sometimes subverted i.e. Micah wears a white hat but is villainous). Honorable/morally ‘good’ characters often wear blue (i.e. Hosea, Charles, Javier, etc.) and dishonorable/morally ‘bad’ characters wear red (i.e. Micah, Bill, Dutch, etc.). (Plus depending on Arthur's honor level when you buy the Whittemore suit in “A Fine Night of Debauchery” you get the blue tie and vest if you have high honor or the red tie and vest if you have low honor.)
In keeping with this theme, Caleb is seen as a good man, an honorable character, and wears some blue. Otherwise, most of his everyday clothes are honestly just various shades of brown, gray, and off-white.

Please do not request anything that has over four characters in it because it is to much for me
When requesting please do so in my inbox and not in my comments because I'll most likely forget about them
I do NSFW but am not okay with some kinks or just not comfortable writing them so if something you request I don't like I will skip it that part of the request or just ignore it
Some examples of kinks I'm not a fan of is spanking, age play, piss, scat, vomit.
I am down to write almost anything even angst but be warned that heavy angst may not be good but I'll try
