Holy fucking shit!!
I just realised in all the books in the PJO series Percy goes through the same trials as Greek heroes.
Lightning Theif: Perseus, Percy is named after him for one, he defeates Medusa. I don't know much else about Perseus.
Sea of monsters: Odysseus ofc. They're on a ship, Polyphemous the Cyclops, the sirens, Circe's island
Titans Curse: Heracles. For one he holds up the sky, two the Nemian lion the Percy defeats.
Battle of the labyrinth: Theseus. Labyrinth, King Minos. Honestly this one feels the most obvious.
Last Olympian: I am not sure of, my guess is Achilles due to Percy obtaining his curse, but also the war.

Starter for @teenagedkraken for Nerissa! _________________________________

Something was not right even after being hibernation for some time... he needed to return to Argus as that was his station and home. However when he would see the city from afar... the Titan would notice something.... plumes of smoke rising from the port city, as an enraged snarl left the beasts mouth he could only get closer noticing a reddish-green figure in the distance towering over the city. In which he would immediately sink back into the sea with his pinkish spines being the only thing sticking out of the water and when upon nearing the seaside city.. did he come out of the water to face this new and unknown Titan threatening his home....

THIS WEEK’S EPISODE OF NXTB (Next X-Treme Tumblr Blorbo)
(doing this today because I missed posting yesterday)
Tumblr media
THE JOHNNY LAWRENCE CONCERT, ROUND 3
Previously, Johnny Lawrence (Cobra Kai/The Karate Kid) revealed he had recruited Luke Castellan (Percy Jackson) to protect him from Percy Jackson. Because of Luke’s involvement, Percy was unable to shut Johnny Lawrence’s mean-spirited concert down.
To get his revenge, Percy has challenged Luke to a match in this episode of NXTB. However, the unnamed commissioner has denied this request. Why? Because if the two of them will fight…it’ll be in the next pay-per-view!
For now, Percy will have to settle with fighting a different opponent. Much to Percy’s surprise, his opponent for tonight is Nico di Angelo.

Just. Imagine.
The sea creatures and spirits and horses, etc, etc all tend to call Percy "Lord" because Poseidon. Either they see him as a Prince because he's one of Poseidon's favorites or he's just extra important because Poseidon only has one living human son, whatever. This starts before his whole "hero of Olympus" reputation happens.
I'm just imagining that a certain point they start referring to Annabeth specifically as "the Lord's consort"/"the Prince's consort"/ etc.
(this is well before they're even engaged, but it's not like a fish understands the concept of matrimony. And even the fish can tell where things are headed.)
And like, sure, Annabeth's kind of annoyed, but she's able to rationalize it. It's not like a random daughter of Athena, Poseidon's rival, is going to hold a whole lot of independent importance for sea animals who only really interact with their own God and don't even understand much about the whole war against the Titans thing beyond the under sea battles.
Percy, on the other hand, gets offended on her behalf, and spends a solid week at his dad's palace insisting that if Annabeth is "Lord Perseus's consort", then that dolphin general guy needs to skip announcing him with all the "child of the prophecy, saviour of Olympus, etc" bs and get straight down to his most important title: "Annabeth Chase's boyfriend".
The various minor sea gods are getting a headache. Annabeth just laughs, which only leads to Percy playing it up more to see her smile.

— orange slices ꣑ৎ‧₊˚.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warnings: pure fluff pairing: percy jackson x lovesick/fem! reader
Tumblr media
“orange slice?” you hold out your hand with a slice of orange for percy to take. happily, he hums, and takes it from your hand, shoving the whole thing in his mouth at once. “perseus, you’re going to choke!”
he swallows the fruit before speaking, “I’m fine, see?”
you shake your head and return to peeling the slices apart from each other. you take one and take a bite only from it, then once finished with that, eating the other half.
“that’s how you should eat an orange.”
“fine, mother, I’ll take bites next time.” percy holds his hand out. “gimme another.”
you hold the orange protectively. “will you take bites? promise me you’ll take bites.”
“yeah, I promise, whatever. just give me a slice.”
you remain silent.
“oh, right!” he leans forward and pecks your lips.
“I wanted you to say please, dipshit.”
you hand him one nonetheless. hurriedly, he takes a large bite, leaving only a small bit left. you sigh. at least he had taken a bite this time. if he ends up choking you’ll be here to tell him ‘I told you so’. you pull your legs up to your chest (you hope your bikini is enough to keep you covered. though modesty didn’t entirely matter when it was just your boyfriend with you) and prop your head up on your knees. you hand percy one last slice and eat the remaining one yourself.
despite his ravenous eating style you can’t help admire his dangerously ethereal appearance. his raven hair tousled by the beach wind, perfectly sun-kissed skin, the sea green shade of his eyes, the ones you drown in constantly, calloused hands from years of training and fighting off monsters and titans, and the faintest pink hue adorning his cheeks.
“perce?”
“yeah?”
“c’mere, my love.” you drop your legs back down, and crawl atop his lap. to steady you, his hands without thought wrap around your waist, one finger toying around the waistband of your bikini bottoms. you lazily drape your arms around his neck, for a moment taking in a closer view before ultimately placing your lips over his once and twice. when you pull away he wears a loving expression.
“what’s this for? wait—” his face drops. “are you trying to bribe me for something?”
“no.” you smile. “I just really like you.”
his expression returns. “I really like you too, sweet girl.”

rate all the greek mytho married couples from most to least interesting (or your favorite to least favorite, depends on you!)
For fun I’ve split them into four categories:
The Really Interesting category, made their relationship everyone’s problem:
- Zeus and Hera (duh)
- Helen and Menelaus (happy ending)
- Helen and Paris (oof! ending)
- Odysseus and Penelope (has a whole word dedicated to their like-minded thinking)
- Rhea and Cronus (tragedy and cannibalism)
- Jason and Medea (tragedy and filicide)
- Clytemnestra and Agamemnon (tragedy and filicide and mariticide and matricide and misogyny and and OH gods-)
- Peleus and Thetis (the arranged mortal marriage blues, but in my head Thetis immortalized Peleus somehow by force and keeps him in her attic) (Because gods be damned if she will be the only one doomed to grieve Achilles)
- Orpheus and Eurydice (mf really went to hell for her and still didn’t get her back :<)
- Hector and Andromache (relatively the most normal ones in this category but still very tragic. Like don’t even ask.)
- Hecuba and Priam (them too)
The Really Cute couple category, bonus if it took them long to get there:
- Hephaestus and Aglaia
- Eros and Psyche
- Dionysus and Ariadne
- Perseus and Andromeda (they kinda remind me of Prince Philip and Aurora which is cute)
- Hebe and Heracles (listennn. they’re cute and important to the Heracles-Hera feud ending)
- Hippomenes and Atalanta (RIP Meleager)
- Philemon and Baucis (one of my fave Zeus myths)
- Alcestis and Admetus (Orpheus and Eurydice but with a happy ending thanks to the interference of Apollo)
- Iphis and Ianthe (trans man rep is good someone PLEASE write about them)
- Tethys and Oceanus (placing them here idc they are cute in my head!! The only titan couple who survived rip to Coeus/Phoebe and all the failed marriages thanks to the Titanomachy)
The Uhhh… Okay Category
- Hades and Persephone (placing them here because while I do think their relationship is interesting AND I find good various retellings of them (excluding LO) like Hades Supergiant, Hadestown, etc I long for more neutral/nuanced takes on the kidnapping, not just by their romance (or lack of romance) but Demeter’s role in the story to be more respected. (It also can’t be helped that HxP has the most over saturated greek mythology content everywhere that people get tired of seeing them, especially portrayed as the “only good greek myth couple” like okay get outta here)
- Gaia and Uranus (I like them, their relationship is clearly important for Cronus’ succession story, but their conflict to me seems so.. short lived? Like you have your son castrate your husband for imprisoning your less appealing babies but now the strife is gone and you work together to tell your son he is destined to be overthrown by his son and telling your grandson to cannibalize his wife as good advice??? Like good for them ig but Rhea and Cronus just do it better imo)
- Hypnos and Pasithea (getting ur wife from a deal with her mom that makes you commit treason by inducing your king with sleep… nothing sketchy about this at allll) (but maybe they’re cute and functional besides that who knows)
- Ceyx and Alcyone (in one version they didn’t do it, in the other they’re just… very dumb to call themselves Zeus and Hera.)
- Procris and Cephalus (eos RUINS lives)
- Hephaestus and Aphrodite (lets be glad it ended bc while they are interesting and Hephaestus did make their marital strife public, I just think they had a better relationship after the divorce)
The Kinda Boring category (to me, subjectively, put down the pitchforks)
- Poseidon and Amphitrite (do they have one myth together that isn’t the Delphin seduction myth… Amphitrite is nice to Poseidon’s worst son. That’s. That’s kinda it. I wish we had more, like how they are with their children or literally anything else to depict a dynamic between them. Especially since they ARE supposed to be the king and queen of the sea. But nope. At least with Oceanus and Tethys they’re both obscure in their personalities so headcanoning stuff is fun to me. Poseidon having a well established personality and Amphitrite… oh dear Amphitrite…)
- Cadmus and Harmonia (they’re a couple in order become ascendants of more tragic humans like Actaeon, Semele and that’s it. They become Snakes in the end to repent for Cadmus’ mistake. Nothing really about their relationship with each other)
- Deucalion and Pyrrha (The Greek rendition of Christianity’s Noah’s Ark and yeah. Thats it)

All of Atlantis has Poseidons back when he rains the full might of the sea’s rage on Hera
Because not only is that the King and Queen’s beloved child, the two time savior of Olympus, but as Percy is now divine, he’s now Atlantean royalty full stop. In line for the throne and everything
That is the baby of Their royal family
And the people of Atlantis are absolutely as batshit and unhinged as their royal family. They just stay in the water and keep to themselves too much to get a reputation for it
Atlantis always adored Percy.
From the first rumors of the king and queen’s son after he had been claimed, to the attendant racing back to gush over how adorable he had been when they met, to Percy coming down after the titan war to help them rebuild he had always been the darling of Atlantis. And hearing that he had become true royalty, had become theirs in a way he never could be as a mortal, only to be kidnapped and left for dead by another goddess?
They want blood.
(Zeus never thought he could wish that Perseus Jackson had never been born any more than he already had but looking down the barrel of the third war in as many years because his wife had to use him in her grand scheme rather than the other well regarded halfblood that also went to that camp that was part of the seven he finds that yes he can.
War with his brothers is not something he wants. Particularly not after the last two. And if he doesn’t let Poseidon have his way then…)

Starter for @laircftitans for Suko! ____________________
Tumblr media
Something was above on Argus' mainland which worried the Titan as he heard the cries of something, something that was loud enough to even have him come out of his lair. Except when he did he noticed a simian almost similar to Hades who was around his Island at the time as the Titan trudged forward slowly while humans, faunus, and atlesian military personnel alike made a path for the Titan as he leaned forward looking at the youngling with concern and worry.
Tumblr media
His eyes, shown one thing, understanding. Kindness, and even more than that as a low groan would rumble in a soft manner looking at them.

Arise, my son
Perseus, a name taken from the only hero who had had a happy ending, a name that was supposed to give hope to Percy's future, a future that didn't seem likely for the son of Poseidon.

I'll be by your side

Hazel writes a letter to her sister after finding out their brother is missing.
Bianca di Angelo & Nico di Angelo & Hazel Levesque
Kintsugi
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing shattered ceramic objects with gold. In this way, what is broken is not set aside or thrown away but acquires great value After Tartarus, Annabeth and Percy could no longer be together as a couple. They both needed something different, something the other couldn't give them. They would always remain friends. But they might need something different.
Apollo/Percy Jackson, Nico di Angelo/Will Solace, Nico di Angelo & Percy Jackson, Thalia Grace & Percy Jackson, Jason Grace & Percy Jackson, Jason Grace/Piper McLean, Percy Jackson & Poseidon
Shh!
Thalia and Percy
We're going to rule the world
Percy Jackson was tired of having to pay for being a demigod.
Percy Jackson was tired of Zeus's rule.
He is not the only one who has had enough.
Soul, body and mind
"Are you sure?" Luke tilted his head, finally turning to Ethan, who saw the predatory, lustful glint in his blue eyes. "Anything?"
Ethan swallowed.
Luke had summoned him to… have sex?
He promised to be ready to do everything, and if Luke wanted to have sex with him, Ethan was ready to satisfy him.
He walked closer, before kneeling in front of Luke, lifting his head to continue looking at him.
"Anything." He confirmed.
Luke Castellan/Ethan Nakamura
Life in struggle and love
What if Percy Jackson was Perseus Adelaide Jackson? What if she was the third on the run with Thalia and Luke? What then?

Loyalty and recognition
What if Annabeth had joined Artemis' Hunt? How would story have changed?
Percy Jackson & Grover Underwood, Percy Jackson & Poseidon
Give me a hug
“I'm fine.” Percy replied.
I'm fine. Apollo would have strangled him if he had repeated those three words even one more time.
Percy was just as fine as Apollo had ichor in his veins.
Apollo & Percy Jackson
What's a soulmate?
She believed in soulmates, and she knew she was destined to meet Percy. Because Percy Jackson was more than a best friend and more than a brother.
He was the other part of her soul.
I need some air - why I am not enough for you?
Percy didn't know how to fix that, but he knew he couldn't stay there.
Not with all the stares and all the expectations and all that.
You won't see me crumble ~ even if I'm breaking apart
There was no reasonable explanation for his need to cover the fact that he was hurt.
The only thing Percy did not want to do was slowing down the others. He had one job, and he could make it.
Nico and Thalia already had a lot of reasons to hate him, Percy was well aware of that, he did not need to give them more.
But, gods, it hurt.
The love of a god
“The love of a god is not a pleasant love for a mortal.” Triton said, glancing at his younger brother.
“The love of a god is not pleasant for another god, nymph, or satyr either.” Percy shrugged. “However it comes in.”

In summary: I am in graduate school and don’t have as much time for drawing/writing as I did previously.
Following some recent comments, I realized that some followers are interested in a more detailed update on the status of my creative projects. I wanted to offer an explanation to those curious, as I often like knowing what my favorite creators are working on.
---
What follows is a summary of my active projects and their status; they are ordered alphabetically rather than in order of importance:
City of Medusa: A semi-modern retelling of the story of Perseus and Medusa becoming friends, emphasizing that both were victims of circumstance. -- This project is canceled. The first draft was completed, but the story felt too personal and emotional to tell, focusing heavily on themes of depression and mental illness. I would have made myself depressed while fleshing it out as a comic.
Daughters of the Sea: Focusing primarily on the protagonist, Photine, this story is of several teenage protagonists (and one villain) who find magical rings that imbue them with the power of the Greek god Poseidon. The two groups fight over personal drama, and who will unite the rings to become Poseidon’s heir. -- This project is inactive. I would like the prose series to be a trilogy, but I am stuck on the second book's ending.
Juno’s Legacy: The story of a young woman who discovers that she’s the reincarnation of an ancient, immortal warlord. She travels the universe while trying to establish her role in a series of interplanetary nations that have gone on 1,000 years after her death. This world is filled with allies and enemies who have a variety of opinions of who she was and who she should be. -- This project is semi-active. I am several drafts into the first book, but I keep putting this project on the back burner.
Maite: The story is set in the Late Greek Bronze Age, during a period of armistice in the mythological Titanomachy War. A young woman partially raised by Athena discovers that her father was an Ancient Greek Titan. After running away from her home, she sets out on a quest to discover who her father is. -- This project is semi-active. Currently, the comic is in its first draft of the script. I am not 100% sure I will pursue this project, but I will make my decision after I wrap up Our New Hope.
Our New Hope: A comic-format fanfiction of the Skywalker twins discovering their identities in their teen years (12-14) thanks to Ahsoka Tano and Darth Vader entering their lives. -- This comic is on hiatus. I had planned to finish this before leaving for graduate school, but my laptop broke, so I wasn’t able to work on it anymore. I hope to finish this project after completing my one-year program.
Resurrection OCT: An Original-Character Tournament around the theme of winning a flower that can return one individual from the dead. This is my only active project on the list. I help judge and moderate this community. If you’d like to follow the story, check out the canon reading guide I made on TVTropes.
---
As a final announcement: I am aware my art is slowing down. I’ve decided to queue up some of my old works.  If you don’t want to see these “re-runs” just blacklist the tag “OonaLuna reblog.” Once I’m done my graduate school program, I will resume my old hobby. You will still see a handful of new posts, as I haven’t totally given up drawing.

Medusa once had charms; to gain her love A rival crowd of envious lovers strove. They, who have seen her, own, they ne'er did trace More moving features in a sweeter face. Yet above all, her length of hair, they own, In golden ringlets wav'd, and graceful shone. – Ovid, Metamorphoses
The Powers of Medusa’s Head
When the blood dripped from Medusa’s head onto the plains of Libya, each drop of blood transformed into venomous serpents. The power of Medusa’s head is seen again when Perseus encountered the Titan Atlas. When Perseus asked Atlas for a place to rest for a short while, his request was refused. Knowing that he would not be able to defeat the Titan with brute force alone, he took out Medusa’s head and Atlas was turned into a mountain.
Perseus also encountered Andromeda, the daughter of the Aethiopian king Cepheus and his wife Cassiopeia. Using Medusa’s head, Perseus succeeded in rescuing the princess, who was being sacrificed to Cetus, a sea monster sent by Poseidon to punish Cassiopeia for boasting that her daughter was more beautiful than the Nereids. Medusa’s petrifying power is also used on Phineus, Andromeda’s uncle whom she was betrothed to, Proetus, the usurper of the throne of Argos, and finally Polydectes himself. Perseus’ friend Dictys took the throne and, now finished with the relic, Perseus gave Medusa’s head to Athena, who wears it on her aegis whenever she goes into battle.
