usually i don't nitpick stuff like that because it doesn't affect readability, but it's not just once or twice that this happens in this episode. it's half the lines or more. official subs aren't an all-lowercase tumblr shitpost punctuate your work smh

also obviously the bigger issue here is "you" when it should be "you're"

loud incorrect buzzer noise, there are only four brothers, not five as this translation would suggest. "our" should be "we" or even "us" for a more colloquial touch

(edit: actually this would imply more than five brothers because first there's our, at least the speaker and one other person, then four brothers... minimum six brothers according to subs THERE ARE ONLY FOUR)

these two lines come back to back. "although" then immediately afterwards "but"

LOUD incorrect buzzer noise, one has to go (the sentence as a whole is a clunky disaster anyway)

and what do you mean "when" do you want to eat? he is currently eating. "when are you going to finish eating" smh

this is probably one of the most infuriating errors to me, minato's main issue in this ep is wanting to do more for the family because he feels all grown up already (he's 12)

his older brother mikoto (13) is less than a year older than him, and they're even both in the same grade at school, but mikoto is taller and already doing more to help out around the house

so several times throughout the ep minato insists (because they're in the same grade) that mikoto isn't his niisan, isn't his older brother specifically

he's not disowning mikoto as his brother, as the subs would imply. to say "he's not my brother" would change the dynamic completely

the older part is damn significant here, especially when the episode ends with a nice moment involving this (which is also butchered in the subs as mikoto saying "i'm still your brother" rather than "i'm still your older brother" which is the whole point afdslksjal)

anyway the above only covers the first five minutes of the episode, and doesn't even include half the lines i have gripes with (i am exercising immense self-restraint here)

My name is Sam - I’m a stage manager for Pokémon Performances. I share my struggles with the burden of being from Galar. :’( /j

That is - I help make sure Pokémon performances and shows go off without a hitch. I organise, I schedule, I move the props and I clear up the stage after. I am the person that makes theatre work even though you never see me.

I used to perform myself - but after catching suspected Pokè-Virus (just my luck smh) I developed CFS/ME and Fibro which meant no more performing for me. It’s just too physically demanding. But, I do teach classes now as well as doing management.

These are my Pokémon:

Normanda the Nidoqueen.

Lovely lovely Norma. My baby. A tank in battle ngl. When she wants to battle rather than perform I let people borrow her for the tundra battles. I raised her from and egg for performing specifically. Technically my partner Pokemon? She gets an itch to perform so I often use her in teachings. Though - she is not all brains. But she does love a hug and a fuss. She never forgot that she is my baby and still expends to be held as such. And even if she’s 4ft of pure muscle I try my best.

Gertrude and her kid Burtie - my Kangaskan.

Gurtie and Burtie! When I was a kid, I got lost in the woods by my house. Not my greatest moment. I’ve never been that lucky. But, a Kangaskan came out of the woods, stuck me in her pouch and wondered to the town where I lived. Ever since then, she’s stayed by my side making sure that I stay safe. Long story short that’s how I got my first ever Pokémon. Her pouch is useful for tools I need backstage. She did performances with me too, back when I did those.

Lucy the Leiperd

I found her on my sofa one day and she never left. She’s now too scared to leave the house and she is terrified of strangers. I do worry about her…but she is a trouble maker and keeps me on my toes. I think she was a stray once? Maybe she didn’t have the best time with humans? But she’s with me now and sleeps on the biggest bed in the house. (That being mine)

Balto the Bolthound

So I don’t really like canine Pokémon. So I used to carry biscuits with me to throw so Yamper would leave me alone on my way to work. This backfired (obviously) and I got adopted into a Yamper pack. Most of them I ended up giving to neighbors, as I already have a tonne of Pokémon in my tiny flat, but Balto stayed. He’s my service Pokémon in training. What a good boy!

Clive the rotom

Technically he’s not my Pokémon, he’s my rotom phone. He’s the rotom I’ve had since he I was 12. But I love him all the same. He will pop out from time to time to invade my fridge when he’s hungry or help me fix a light. He’s a clever little lad!

Maggie the Wooper

Maggie is the baby of my 6, and she’s the Pokémon distribution system at its finest. I found her in a bin? For some reason? No idea why someone would throw out a shiny. I just assumed someone dyed a wooper pink until someone pointed out she was a Shiny. But here she is. She lives her best life squirting water at me from the sink and stealing my heating pad. I’m training her up alongside Norma to be a performance pokemon for when I teach classes! But for now she’s just a baby - so she can have a childhood swimming in my bathtub. <3

More stuff about me except this time it's MOVIES AND SHOWS I LIKE YIPPEE Not only do I like every single adaptation of All Quiet, but I Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooove every frickin movie out there of Godzilla, I not only LOVE every Godzilla movie but OWN every Godzilla movie. I also own plentiful amounts of Godzilla merchandise, aswell as video games and even signed/autographed prints. I'm a Warrior Cats enjoyer yes I know cringe but like no because Warrior Cats gotta be my fave book series in all of existence and what's not to love about kewl emo cats!?!?! That being said this is pretty useless but I REALLY like cats like I'm a cat person to the point where it should be a mental illness because I LOVE CATS and without cats I would die and I would not want to exist in a world without cats (I own 4 cats) and my favourite breed is the hairless cat because PINK ALIEN CAT BINGUS All Quiet obsessor but hey that's obvious!!! One of these days I'll get Felix to notice me smh Similar to Warrior Cats, I like Lackadaisy too, the pilot was AMAZING and I've read the entire webcomic thoroughly and I can say it is very much worth the read!! As a history geek, too, it's very intriguing with all the accuracies to the 20's!! I sooooorta like Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel?? It's pretty on/off tbh. i used to have a hwa side blog (it's sadly gone cause tumblr is a bitch) and i still have hwa centred twt account. i mainly post(ed) about him, made gifs, edits, fan art and some people treat me like a solo stan it's baffling. i won't lie and say he isn't my fave, because he is and i love him the most, doesn't mean i dislike other members, smh.

in the end you have to post and create whatever you want, i'm sure people who bias other members and perhaps don't really read seonghwa fics are a bit jealous because you're such a great writer. so i can't blame them for wanting to read a story about their fave from you! but yeah they just need to deal with it. there's no use writing something that you dislike or feel like isn't authentic

yeah, it was mostly instagram comments whenever he would post a selfie. the comments were usually pretty negative and i remember being disgruntled over it and happy he didn't cave to pressure and change his hair. that's one of the reasons i love hj - he always wears what he wants and does what he wants to his hair and that's that. he's had hairstyles i've not been a fan of but i always love that he does what he wants stylistically boldly. and now newer atiny love the mullet and i constantly see them wishing he would bring it back so i feel vindicated in a way lol.

twitter is overall a pretty negative space. i use it mostly for shitposting because it's just a mess. sorry you had to deal with ppl thinking you were a solo stan. i don't understand the logic in that because there is such a diff between being a solo stan and having a bias, you know? if you ever start posting on there again, let me know cuz i am always kinda looking for good hwa accounts on there.

yeah sometimes i feel a little bit of the odd one out in the fanfic community because i know you are sorta expected to take requests, write for every member of a group, etc and i don't. i'm also shy and keep to myself and i struggle with any sort of attention me (i try not to be too aware of how many notes or followers i have because it gives me anxiety lol). most of the friendships i've formed thru the blog is because people have messaged me first altho i try to overcome my shyness and message people if they've written a fic that i've read and enjoyed a lot. i understand if someone likes my writing style but doesn't wanna read a hwa fic they could be a little frustrated i haven't written for other members but as you said, my writing is an extension of me and it's important that i write what i want and what feels true to me. the work is better for it.

When he sobers up enough to turn human again he doesn’t remain inebriated but hangovers do carry over. RIP

I can see Walker going all Prohibition. It’s very difficult to get coffee around the GZ. Walker tries to keep the human world locked down too but there’s only so much he can do out there. So catch the ghosts treating Dunkin like a speakeasy. A fancy coffee order is the ghost equivalent of a cocktail.

Ghosts regard different roasts and blends of coffee and caffeinated tea like we regard vodka versus whiskey versus wine, etc
