Today's take:

I think aestheitc wise Jason with the autopsy scars is cool and all. But since Bruce knew how he died he never would of had it needed an autopsy nor would they bother to preform on so I'd like to give the subtle but eerie alternative.

Jason Todd with scars made from the embalming process. (So one on his stomach and one or two on his neck) it's subtle you wouldn't think much of it unless you know that process and know he died. Or unless he said. It'd be kinda creepy but interesting.

I would like to know how much the groups of people who say Severus Snape deserved everything he got from the Marauders and the people who say Janis Ian is the real villain of Mean Girls overlap. Both characters did problematic shit that deserves to be called out, but the fact still stands that Severus Snape was a victim of the Marauders and Janis was a victim of Regina. But since they, unlike Regina and the Marauders, didn't have conventionally attractive actors (or y'know, fancasts), people are more inclined to see them as the true, and only, villains.

Sandalphon is basically coffee flavred, and i really like how he turned out... he's also a special species of koopa.... which consist of feathers!! a fuzzy dragon koopa...

Beelzebub. BIG muscle TALL koopa. His shell is suppose to represent a beetle, which is why i decided to not put any spikes on it. THE rim tho...is spiky!! he has a really funky shells. there is "legs" that wrap around his waist, those are actually 'beetle' legs. He also has pretty massive gauntlets!!!

I'm Back!!

Yup! You read that right! A few months of hiatus (I'm in college now!) and I'm back in business!

I'll be posting again around every Tuesday and Thursday at 1pm EST!

This pretty much hits the nail on the head.

Adding my two sense into this thought because I agree this was the best thing for Stolas to endure.

He is an adorable, lovable idiot.But still an idiot none the less. And morally he's not a good character.

He still cheated on his wife, ignores the others feelings around him to keep a false naritive, is oblivious to his daughter's needs and feelings (he was trying to get better) but he was not learning anything. And no, I don't think he fully loves Blitz in the way we think he does, or want him to.

We got that banger of a song which I think was more for Blitz realizing he loves Stolas more. With Stolas's love, he's still in love with the idea of Blitz and what he represents. And let's be honest, he was ALWAYS prepared to die at one point. Blitz just pushed it along. As far as I'm concerned this was a suicide mission. Because death was a better option than the guilt he would/will have to endure. And that's the most selfish stunt he could pull. I'm not saying suicide is selfish. But his reasonings are far from noble. Yes he's saying how he's sacrificeing for this idiot. But he's doing it for himself because he doesn't want to face that conciquence.

Now don't get me wrong. I love the dork. I wish him so much love and peace in the next episodes to come.

However.

I want to see him break. We watched Blitz break. Stolas is having a reality check. I want to see him go through all the stages of grief. I want to see him go through depression because of his own doing. I want him to scream his own projections onto Blitz. I also want Blitz to help him snap out of his self-loathing. When you think about it, he needs to have someone tell him "Yeah, you fucked up. Yeah, you're selfish and you are a fucking asshole. This is all your doing, but you're going to get through it."

I dont want to see him babied... and I'm afraid that Blitz is going to do that. (Ironically)

Because Stolas has been in thus fantasy world of his obliviousness of his consequences.

I also don't want to see Via turn on him completely. Like, yeah I want her to be furious with his choice, but I don't want her to absolutely despise him if she finds out he's alive. And I'm so afraid that she's going to despise him until she figures it out too late. It's so over done and I don't think stolas deserves that at all. I think they need to scream at each other and then break.

I'm usually pretty good at predictions when it comes to shows and how they're set up. And because Stolas is more or less the star, I am afraid he's going to be written as "Can do no wrong." Character.

I mean, he hasn't but also he's made to by sympathized. The people who he's hurt have every right to be angry. But let's be honest. The only one who we should 100% without a doubt hate, Is Andrea.

My hot take whether you agree or not, is Stella isn't 100% the bad guy because as someone who has been cheated on, it fucking sucks and it hurts so bad. She has every right to be pissed at Stolas and I hope she stands up for Via if Andrea starts to go after her. She has no hatred for her daughter. Just Stoals.

As heartbreaking of this sight is for Stolas to see...

So we the audience knows that the moment Stolas sees the image of Loona and Blitz hugging it destroys him because he just now realizes the gravity of the situation he's forced into.

He was ready to die for the man he loves, but he didn't expect to live and have to deal with the consequences of his own actions.

He can't see Octavia. He can't see his daughter, and that's what fucks him up so bad.

But I think ultimately, this is good for him to see and realize.

Stolas, lacks a lot of self-awareness, not just due to his privelage, but just from the fact that he's never had to deal with consequences so severe before that were the direct cause of his own actions.

Don't get me wrong, Stolas made the right decision in saving Blitz, since he never really had time to make a decision...

But it doesn't change the fact that he never really thought to consider how his decisions or his actions in general would negatively effect the people around him...

Since, you know, Stolas tends to get stuck in his own head without considering the bigger picture.

Because Stolas only cares for two people: Octavia and Blitz.

Yet, despite the fact that he cares for them deeply, he doesn't understand them and their needs...

He's aware that Blitz has some deep rooted issues that cause him to hide behind a mask...

But he isn't aware that gestures such as asking him about his day, commenting and liking his photos, and laughing at his jokes, and giving a giant magical rock in the form of a love confession aren't exactly the way to break through his tough exterior.

(I don't blame Stolas for this, Blitz makes thing extremely difficult in general, but you get what I mean)

He's aware that he needs to be there for his daughter.

But he isn't aware how leaving her in the dark in a desperate bid to protect her youth is ultimately doing more harm than good.

I feel like a part of Stolas feels that as long as he apologizes to Octavia and comforts her than she would always forgive him. So Stolas kinda unknowingly takes advantage of his daughter's love for him even when doesn't mean to.

For example, the events of Western Energy weren't much of a learning experience for Stolas as it was for Blitz because Stolas knows that this is only happening to him because Stella hates him and wants him dead.

He leaves the events of that day emotionally and physically scarred, but doesn't directly learn anything from it except the disillusionment of Blitz being his knight in shining armor that would come rushing in guns blazing in the name of love.

To me Stolas' biggest sin isn't his privilege, it's moreso his inability to see the bigger picture and that yes, actions have consequences.

But that's just my take on things...

Also...

I think it's important for Stolas to see this side of Blitz. The side of Blitz that he isn't familiar with outside of the bedroom.

The seething self-loathing that manifests in the form of crossed out photos. The sheer loneliness he feels majority of the time by just forcing himself to put up a front.

The side of Blitz that is also a caring and doting father that would do anything for his daughter. The kind of father that will always put his child's needs first.

The boss of I.M.P that always strives to succeed and go above his lot in life, always making sure his people or his found family are taken care of.

Again, that's just my take on things.

I feel like a lot of people are too busy focusing on the negative, instead of seeing how much this change is going to benefit Stolas in the long run.

I realized around the night before on my concept drafts for Purple guy that I was focusing more on the design for William Afton and not his character altogether. Don't get me wrong, I love fnaf and the story it has placed in the games but I don't go too deep into the lore where I need to flesh every single detail and theory out. My plan was to make Purple Guy as Purple Guy with decade worth of my personal knowledge and take on the Fnaf character. And as of now with revising rough sketches, I think I found a design I'm happy with

Rise Ramblings #234

While watching “The Clothes Don’t Make The Turtle,” I noticed something.

I found it interesting that Raph, Mikey, and Leo were content with Raph’s outfit choice until Donnie stated that he wasn’t “in love with it, ya’ know.”

Suddenly, Raph declares “I’m a disaster!” Albeit ridiculously endearing, it was a little strange to see his sudden shift from moderately content to absolute dissatisfaction. Huh…

Then, the disaster twins decide to help him out.

Take a note of their outfit choices.

Raph tries on all of these fits and more.

Donnie’s first choice is a mild “no.” Leo’s choice is a hard “NO.” (Not surprising, lol.) But then, the overwhelming consensus lands on Raph’s fourth outfit, which ended up being Donatello’s other pick for his brother.

So, in summary, Raph tried on his personal choice for an outfit, of which they rejected. Then, ultimately, Donatello picked out an outfit for his brother, and that pick ended up being perfect. Hmm…

Then I noticed something else. In this episode, we never get a Donnie “curtain reveal” moment, to our disdain. I mean, Raph, Leo, and Mikey got to try on several different outfits in order to get their brothers' opinions before landing on that “perfect outfit, you know the one.” All of his brothers got to shine. Why not DonTron?

Then it hit me.

The try-ons were to get their brothers' opinions and approval. And, for his brothers' choices, he was a major contributor in assisting them in pulling their looks together.

What if, bear with me, Donnie didn’t need the "curtain scene" because he was so confident in his fashion sense that he didn’t need to ask his brothers for help to pick out a great look.

…or they figured out how to break Hypno’s spell before he could get a “curtain reveal.” BUT STILL-

Look at his outfit choices in this episode. Some of his wardrobe changes were off-screen, but all of them were fire.

(I added the baseball cap pic because it makes me happy. I wish we'd seen more of that fit.)

To me, he makes some really smart choices for himself, pushing the envelope of what is expected and taking chances: an open collar with no tie for a “black tie” event, a beanie and spiked wristbands for their “gansta look,” no socks with loafers (a viral fashion trend that actually began in Africa) with old man slacks in his reclined pose. *muah* Chef’s kiss!

But Don’s fashion sense doesn’t just shine in this episode.

In “Reparin’ the Baron” the boys go to Draxum’s apartment. Leo and Donnie show up in some extra nice “Sunday Dinner” twin drip.

The gold is in the details. Everything Leo is wearing, Donnie rocks its compliment: for Leo’s round collar, Donnie’s is angled, for Leo’s blue shirt, Donnie’s is white, For Leo’s light slacks, Donnie’s are dark. Blah blah blah. It’s so good!

Look at the winter fit in Snow Day.

Again, Donnie is Leo’s perfect compliment. As a pair? Fire.

Donnie has “the eye.” I can go on and on with examples, but I’ve said all of that to say this…

In the future, we see that Donatello’s technology had major pull in the resistance. He had drone ships patrolling the skies. He built and designed Leo’s arm, Casey’s chainsaw-hockey stick, and Casey's mask. The list goes on…

But, when Donatello from the past see’s Casey’s clothing from the future, he says this:

We know about the “Genius Built” brand. We’ve seen that logo on all of his tech up to this point. But, here he didn’t just say “Genius Built.” He said, “Genius Built Apparel.”

“Apparel” is not a tech brand. “Apparel” is a fashion brand. Of course, tech is incorporated into the clothing, but still.

This means that past Donatello secured this trademark with plans of creating a fashion brand, comparable to the likes of Gucci, Ralph Lauren, or any other modern clothing brand, as a subsidiary of “Genius Built,” the tech company.

And why not? The evidence has been in front of us this entire time. He has a sharp eye for style, fashion, and trends. It is easily canon that he can sew. Splinter sewed their ninja garbs in “Insane in the Mama Train,” and there is a sewing machine in the house.

They already learned Ninjutsu through basically osmosis, so learning to sew is not too far-fetched.

And here it is, right in front of us, Casey’s entire ensemble, from mask, to weapons, to clothing, was made by Donatello in the middle of the apocalypse under the brand name “Genius Built Apparel.”

And that was just in the bad future. Resources were limited, they didn’t have access to much of anything in that broken world as they were survivors of a devastating Krang invasion. Yet, he created all of this.

However, now that they’ve changed the future, his future as a fashion designer is limitless. Think of what Donatello could produce with unlimited resources, unlimited technology, and unlimited creative freedom.

Tech genius. Clothing designer. Fashionista. Future Genius Built Apparel Owner and CEO. I’m sorry, but I have to call it...

Donatello Hamato of the present, of the bad future, and of the good future is a fashion icon, the likes of which the world has never seen. ○○○○

sand in the hourglass; boy lost through time

a couple of weeks late but </3 a tribute for the rottmnt movie anniversary !

its rly hard to put into words how much this movie and franchise has genuinely changed my life for the better ! im so much happier with who i am, the company i keep, and so much more passionate about where i want to go in life just because i decided to watch this series and movie on a whim one day

ive met some of my dearest and closest friends via shared interest in tmnt and as a result im just :] in the best place mentally in all my life bc of it

this series is crazy meaningful to me so i wanted to draw smth big as appreciation; my friend told me it gave the energy of a poster for a movie re-releasing in theaters and i took that to heart to make it as grand as possible

Mikey: Gave Mikey Lichen Burns from that one time he got disintegrated and then reanimated via electricity. He died n got better and honestly it is one of the most violent injuries that I recall for him. Like he plays it off so easily cuz he has super powers and all that jazz but that’s so messed up. Also Raph yelling for him OOOFFFFF will never forget how filled w rage and hurt that dude was. He was ready to kill ❤️ Such a wild episode and I love how Mikey was so depended on in order for the plan to succeed. It was Mikey’s turn for the Self sacrificing bit and he crushed it

Leo: Get Shreddered idiot!!! The fucked up knee and throat from when he got beat up and thrown thru the window. This is def my fav event to happen which is a wild thing to say. It’s the most obvious thing to go for but I personally loved the farmhouse arc and Leo’s need for recovery. That dude is still not well and is repressing stuff but they don’t have time to heal. Their lives are too chaotic, too much is on the line, and Leo can’t afford to take the time to heal 100% none of them can tbh. I know a lot of ppl hate how 12 handled his knee injury but I loved it Bc it’s obviously not better but he’s a stubborn idiot who chooses to push everything down and out. He is the healthiest turtle for sure. I’m pretty sure in later episodes his knee gives out a few times don’t quote me tho it’s been a few years aha

Raph: His broken shell! After watching Lone Rat and Cubs and seeing where it came from, I always wondered if Splinter looks at it with loads of regret. A physical sign of his short comings that one time they almost got caught by the Kraang. A warning and a constant reminder they’ll never be safe, that splinter wont always be able to protect his babies no matter how hard he fights. I also like to HC he becomes the most hovering and overprotective of Raph while he’s still recovering Bc that shell broke so easy. Honestly seeing screen shots of close ups of Raphs shell is awesome to see both shell and plastron are broken.

Donnie: UGHHH THIS DUDEEEE !!!!! Literally had the hardest time Bc he goes thru a lot also but it’s more emotional and mental dude is fuked up in the head fr. I asked several ppl for help Bc I didn’t want to do another lichen burn thing from Karai’s trap. In the end I played around w the suggestions to see what would look most appealing to me. The scars on arm are from Slash (such a good episode thank you for the suggestion 🙌) as his arm was injured and in a sling at the end of the episode. The head scar def a big creative liberty Bc he does get injured there a lot ahah. I was thinking of Fourtrap again which lead to thinking about the time that Leo blew him up accidentally during is emo phase XD

I think the funniest thing I've ever been told is my uncle telling me how he met Dan Aykroyd.

Literally was down town in my home state and he and his friends all had movie accurate cosplays (he still has it now) and apparently he was going by, saw them hopped out his car, tripped while getting to them and all that.

He actually has a pictured signed by him too along with Ernie Hudson's signature and that story was a favorite he loved to tell me.

Thinking about the mechanics of a Rise x 2003 crossover and one funny way to do it would be to have the characters retain the characteristics of their genres regardless of which universe they're in.

So for example, one of the rise turtles gets smacked in the face and their teeth go flying everywhere and fall out of their mouth, as is standard for looney toons-esque cartoons and happens in rise at least once. This freaks out the 03 turtles, even more so when the rise turtle gets his teeth back in like 3 seconds once the bit of them flying everywhere is over.

Another example: the 03 turtles start getting shot at and casually/easily dodge the shots, to the utter amazement of the Rise turtles. Getting volleys of bullets and/or laser fire sent their direction is not a part of their genre, and so dodging gunfire is not something any of them have in their skill set.

AU where Leo is trapped in the Prison Dimension for months instead of minutes and the only way he gets by with his sanity intact is through recording himself talking to his wrist comm.

When they finally manage to get Leo back and make him rest up to heal, Donnie can’t help but listen to the recordings left behind.

He’s not sure what exactly he’s expecting, only that his subconscious is screaming at him that it has to be heartbreaking, that it has to be torturous.

Instead, what Donnie is subject to is a full thousand hours’ worth of Jupiter Jim and Lou Jitsu crossover fanfiction. More than one part in the series. Spanning well over a million words.

(The worst part is that it’s actually good.)

I'm having my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow (June 13th) and I may not be able to post (or even work on my wips) until I recover enough to do so.

I'm hoping to get back on my schedule by at least Friday or even Sunday at the latest.

Anyways, I'll get back to my regular posting after I recover from the appointment!
