I love the Dungeon Meshi fandom because, like, most of the fanart of Laois, Chilchuck, Senshi, and Izutsumi you see is done in fun colourful anime-esque styles, more often than not in-line with the aesthetics of the show. And then you look at art of Falin, and you're faced with these intricate classical oil paintings of her being this ancient eldritch horror, sometimes posed intimately with Marcille looking conflictedly terrified or tragically doomed & despondent alongsider her.
