drew some of my fav ody designs! wasnt originally meant to be also replicating the styles but thats sort of just how my brain works. except i didnt copy the lineart styles of anyone here so its DEFINITELY a bit uncanny for a couple of these (LOOKING AT YOU QINNY IM SO SORRY) but whatever

WITH A GUN. gfrdfvb vfrdedrf #i am a very normal non anxiety having person i swear guys #worst thing i did here was have odys hands very visible for the qinny one. because i didnt realize the way they draw hands is very realisti #BUT THEIR WHOLE STYLE HAS REALLY REALISTIC ANATOMY I SHOULVE KNOWN #irunakis style is SO fun to draw in bc its a lot like some of my older art so its very familiar yk yk i wasnt worrying too much about makin #-things accurate. but i think that accidentally made me too comfortable and so i ended up straying a bit too much #i think a lot of irunaki and qinnys styles specifically is in the lineart. so me using my normal style of lines makes them less recognizabl #anyways. neals odysseus i have shit talked in private (its a good design it just feels uncanny w/ jorges voice to me) but hes really-#-interesting to draw. i wanna do style studies on neal their characters have a very. idk animated feels like the wrong word but like.#something like animated. feeling to them. theyre very distinct in shape i wanna do studies thats it #bigidiotenergy i found this morning while FINALLY looking at cloudysseus art and instantly fell in love w their design #i need to ruffle his hair. hes so silly. absolutely incredible design. but GOD was the style a nightmare #it was too late id already comitted to trying to replicate the styles. but ohhh my god its so far from my own it was so hard #theres so much detail in places i dont normally put any at all #and its like. WAUGH its scary i need to do anatomy studies in general maybe #uhh havent commented on the gigi one. he was really easy to draw though lol. weirdly enough gigis style was close enough to my current one-#-that i didnt have any trouble whatsoever? and i think its the most accurate too but only because of the lineart styles being similar lol #ALSO NOT TO PLAY FAVORITES BUT FOOP ODYSSEUS IS MY FAVORITE #I LOVE HIMMM I LOVE HIS SILLY SHAPES HE LOOKS LIKE A WEIRD CAT KINDA. Growing up w no Instagram does SOMETHING to a bitch like I really get taken aback by how second nature it is for people to whip out their phones and take pictures of the most mundane things. Not because I judge them for it but bc apart from selfies, pictures w friends, and obligatory pictures on trips I literally forget to take pictures of my life period

#I’m not the kind of girl who’ll be studying at a cafe and thinks to snap a picture of my cute latte art #I’m never somewhere and go Ohhh this would be a good angle…. Like I just don’t do that #At first the way I rationalized it is I don’t wanna stress myself out taking aesthetic pictures but now I’m like #Compared to other people I don’t rly have proof of cute little tender moments #And one day I’ll be old and decrepit and I won’t have many of these diminutive memories still #So I rly wanna change that by being more intentional ab taking photos #And maybe sharing some of them SPARINGLY bc I want it to mostly be for me #But just making it more of a priority to capture little things I’ll look back on when I’m older #I think taking more pictures is part of my 2024 resolution anyway I just haven’t implemented it thus far

im not going to lie i have an illuminati type theory that fanfiction has gotten so fucking bad recently as yet another consequence of the pandemic

#because like we all know how the pandemic caused fandom and a lot of more geeky things to become more mainstream #at least in the US #and thats why fandoms are so fucking shite now because everybody isnt weird and cant handle weird shkt #and also everybody stopped having reading comprehension too because of the sudden rapid uptick in content creation and such #like u guys already know what im talking about #theres a reason why i havent seen an actual meme in years #like im talking a real meme. have you seen anything even remotely close to what a meme was like before the pandemic?#its honestly a real shame because i feel like now saying meme feels kind of cringey but it was something genuinely uniting and a wonderful #cultural thing online back then but also maybe thats just my nostalgia coming in since i was a kid back then #but yeah i think as another consequence fanfiction has become significantly worse #because i dont know maybe im looking in the wrong places maybe its a natural development of my taste becoming #more refined #but i feel like its impossible to find good fanfiction these days #like hetalia ao3 has been notorious for sticking out as the only fandom ever that somehow has so much fanfiction and none of it is good #because even when i was in the oukibo trenches i found some good shit in there that id memorize like bible scriptures #but now it kinda feels like every fandoms ao3 is like the hetalia ao3 #i thought it was just my taste refining further until i found one good fanfiction recently and IT LIKE #ITS NOT EVEN THAT GOOD. BUT YOU KNOW HOW THERES THAT TYPE OF FANFIC THAT IS JUST #COMPETENTLY WRITTEN AND THE CHARACTERS ARE IN CHARACTER #ITS NOTHING BEAUTIFUL OR SOMETHING YOUD BE LIKE OHHH THIS SHOULD BE A FINE LITERATURE PUBLISHED BOOK #BUT ITS GOOD #ITS A GOOD STORY THAT FEELS LIKE IT WAS WRITTEN BY SOMEONE WHO WATCHED THE SHOW #AND HAS ALL THE BASIC NEEDS TO BE A COMPELLING READ #LIKE DAMN I HAVENT READ SOMETHING LIKE THAT IN FOREVER #bc a lot of good fanfiction isnt the 400k novels that are intense and beautiful #i love those but there can only be so many of them #the majority are these fics that are fun as hell to read and sometimes even stretch to be like 50k words. but they're definately not #intense beautiful prose. it's a fun story made by a fan who wanted to explore an idea or make some scenarios #and i can never find that shit anymore #its always page after page of the most asinine shit with not even the general aura/sprinkle of anything pertaining to the og source in sight
