OC Introductions: Rose Appleton!

to kickstart my OC introductions, we have one of my oldest original characters - Rose!

Rose is one of three protagonists of The Bronze Trio! She owns a bookstore tucked away in a small part of town where she holds classes every week on literature and writing. She's kind, warm, but maybe a little too empathetic.

Her tag is OC: small town girl (r. appleton) and feel free to ask me questions about her!

Tell me bout roe who made them and who are they comparing their self to exactly

AHH THE PEOPLE ARE INTREESTED IN ROE..

ok so every other character that isnt roe in this image belongs to scout @sometimesilikeeatingrawcorn. Roe was created by God (not actually a god of any sort, just a guy with a weird name) when he was bored as fuck in a time loop one day. she was built with spare parts, so shes..not very advanced. she doesnt mind this at first, being the only robot around, but one day R1 and R2 show up, and theyre so much more advanced, and so much..prettier. R1 and R2 get attached to roe pretty quick and declare her their younger sister! but roe cant help but keep comparing herself..shes thinks herself an ugly little thing, not at all like her older sisters. r1 and r2 try giving her makeovers sometimes, and it does make her feel better for a bit, but deep down shes still like. fuck man! im never gonna be as cool as them. OF COURSE to say so would be a direct insult to her father, so she doesnt tell anyone but her (not a robot) brother Japhet.

OKAY this is Roe and Japhet! longtime jack fans will remember japhet as SK/Sleepover Kid. the tldr on that is that Japhet is a 9 year old Probably Not Human kid who was abandoned by his mother and then also trapped in a time loop. WELL he was (kind of?) adopted by Another Guy trapped in the same time loop, God, who belongs to my pal sometimesilikeeatingrawcorn/scout. WELL god is a scientist and he gets Really Fucking Bored one day and builds a robot, japhets sister Roe! Roe is..kind of shitty? for a robot? the story takes place way in the future and technology is Advanced..and roe still has a USB port. anyways, she was built as a gender neutral robot but after like 5 seconds decided to be A Girl. she doesnt really have gender dysphoria, but she has adoptive sisters (other robots in the time loop Not built by god) who are MUCH more advanced than her, and shes REALLY insecure abt that and its blatantly a metaphor for dysphoria. Japhet is also trans! he doesnt have any sort of metaphorical dysphoria or literal hes just chilling. he just decided he liked being a dude more one day.

loveday would be one of my first choices for any of these… he grew up with a garden, understands what is involved, likes researching for it; he grew up caring for animals and enjoys it; he loves kids & is good with them :)

agrak’s mother is the one who first taught her smithing…. though she learned from her grandmother too

intensely… but he likes to seem as if he didn’t

she is an adamant puzzle enjoyer

HMMMM…. no

i think he feels guilty when he’s enjoying something he believes he shouldn’t - but he wouldn’t acknowledge the guilt that much

his splurge would be on custom made jewelry and some extremely nice sheer gown(s).. the sort of thing he couldn’t justify blowing his entire salary on bc when would he wear it

4 himself..? probably talent he almost always expects himself to screw up/things to go awry

15) What would they consider a waste of time– other than school or work?

difficult q … hm

probably bad faith arguments about politics or similar topics that touch on personal convictions - like when someone is trying to piss you off or get some strong reaction and they don’t actually want to have any kind of conversation . no point to any of it

20) What do they like that nobody else does?

deeply enjoys washing the dishes in the galley if that counts

27) Forgiveness or vengeance (or…)?

depends on what it’s for…case by case

e.g. if its someone he has to live and work with he’s going to let it slide.. especially if he doesn’t think its a big deal or if they seem genuinely upset about it… if it’s something that really bothers him hed keep an eye out for a repeat

but if its someone he can feasibly cut off entirely he will cut them off. - seethe for a while about whatever it was - eventually stop caring enough to stop seething. he won’t forget it entirely bc they could come around again

if its something that he believes requires some action on his part to even the scales then he’ll even the scales. this does not happen often

Thanks for the ask! Have the Space Wizard Trio even though I post nothing about them on tungle 90% of the time:

Asphodel: A snake that appears to be made of living wood, complete with small patches of herbs covering his body. Can assist in healing and plant-based magic.

Lirio: A fuzzy little golden cygnet. Can't really do much, but isn't he just adorable? Once he gets older, he'll grow into a golden swan and be able to help his keeper with scrying, but for now he's just a little guy.

Kasadya: An angel that takes the form of a small galaxy. Looking into his singular star-like eye will offer his keeper a glimpse into the future.

the lore for reaver is that you have to drink ritually prepared dragon blood but hear me out given that its so close to blood magic.. basically another form of it .. i think mal can do things like that in a lot of fights & nobody can tell or would think to suspect except Merrill would, for obvious reasons..from the outside it looks like they just have a lot of endurance and get really pissed off in a fight which is true but not to the fullest extent... its blood magic. maybe there’s some dragon blood involved idk. where do you think hawke gets that. the black emporium?
