I. What makes them feel safe?

“ I don’t want to act like I don’t have anyone, because I have a lot of people in my life that do help me, but I don’t ever really feel safe completely. I mean I know how to defend myself and I have people who care about me and love me, but I’m the only one who can really take care of my family and it’s all in my hands. So I’m always on edge. I had spent a long time in court trying to stand up on my own and it never really left me. I always feel like I’m on my toes and kind of vulnerable, so I just don’t really feel like I can just let myself breathe and feel like everything is perfect or safe. But when it comes to people who do help prevent those feelings from taking over, I do have a lot of people and they're the closest I feel to being safe. I have Sage, who I love, I have Liza and her family , they helped me when I felt like I didn’t have anyone. I have some friends they make me feel like I can just be around people and have a good time.
