Cuddling with 141 (+Roach!)
Summary: How I think Price, Gaz, Soap, Ghost and Roach would cuddle + little blurbs.
Word Count: ~ 2.1k
Warnings: None!
A/N: wrote this at 2am😭 hope you enjoy <3
Requests are open!
Tumblr media
Simon “Ghost” Riley 💀
- Tries his hardest to act tough and scary, but only because that’s how a Lieutenant is supposed to act. Or at least that’s what he thinks.
- Also isn’t sure how to cuddle, never saw his dad trying to do anything other than abuse his mom, and his brother was dead before he could ask him for any advice.
- As stiff as a board, has no idea what to do, just awkwardly sitting and glancing at you, increasingly concerned.
- Would eventually get the hang of it only after Johnny made fun of him for being so awful with it, did it just to spite his beloved Sergeant (also practiced cuddling with Johnny, obviously just for practice, nothing more.)
- Likes being the little spoon.
It had been one hell of a mission, 141 barely finding a safe house to rest in for a few hours and restock their weapons and ammo before having to move again. A few more hours, and though Simon knew he should be resting, he couldn’t get his brain off of alert mode, so he settled for watching the game on the telly, even if it was in Spanish. He was mostly fluent, anyway.
You had plopped down next to him after a few minutes, mumbling something about cleaning your gun, taking a rag to wipe it down and try to clear it out, your hands soon slipping down as your eyes dropped.
The other boys had gone off somewhere else in the safe house, probably to find a bed or secure it further like he should be doing right now, but for whatever reason, he couldn’t bring himself to stand up and shake you off.
You eventually went fully limp, head banging against his shoulder, somehow now waking you even then as you mumbled something, hand slipping towards your gun’s trigger. It was then that he moved, but not to get up, simply to gently pry the firearm from your hand as he clicked the safety on and let it drop to the floor.
The game blared in the background, but Simon was more focused on you, still leaning into him, and the fact that he was even entertaining this. His muscles were stiff, quickly growing sore and agitated at him after the constant use of the day. Slowly, he relaxed, finding that you melted into his body a lot easier when he wasn’t tensed up completely.
Slowly sliding one arm around your waist, obviously just to make sure you didn’t fall off the couch, nothing more, Simon leaned his head back against the couch, his own honey-brown eyes fluttering shut soon enough as he found enough peace of mind for an hour or two of rest.
Not much, but a welcome reprieve.
Johnny “Soap” MacTavish 🧼
- Has no shame at all. Will cuddle you during exfil in front of everyone with no care.
- Very clingy, and also a living furnace. Good to have in the winters, since he keeps you warm, but a nightmare in the summers.
- Will whine like a puppy if you refuse to cuddle with him for heat reasons or whatever, absolutely desperate, golden retriever of a man.
- Definitely see him as the type to enjoy lying on top of you, or being the big spoon, but is down to experiment with anything you want. And I mean everything. Frighteningly open to experimentation.
- Sleeps wild or like a rock, no in between.
Of course, they’d sent Task Force 141 and their one notoriously cold-sensitive member out to Russia, staking out for any sign of a recent contract signed between them and Germany, an agreement for some form of biochemical weapon that could be catastrophic in the wrong hands.
“Doin’ alright over there, Shivers?”
You heard a Scottish voice ask from the crunchy grass you were all lying in, Gaz and Price twenty feet to your left, Ghost twenty to your right, you and Johnny right next to each other. You could see your own body shaking, feeling the ground leach out any remaining warmth from it despite your thick clothing.
“Yeah, just-t-t cold.”
You saw Ghost glance back at you, probably having heard your teeth chattering from over there. You heard the radio hiss before his voice sounded.
“When I said stay frosty, I didn’t mean it literally.”
His deadpan tone said, earning a hushed bark of laughter from Johnny, and Price shooting you a sympathetic look with Gaz. You sighed.
“Very funny-y, Ghost.”
You mumbled, not even bothering to say it over the radio. Warm palms encompassed your wrists before you could do anything to stop it, and Johnny moved in closer.
“What’re you-?”
“Ain’t gonna be any use to us as a popsicle, eh Shivers?”
You felt the weight of his body settle even closer, nearly right on top of you, gingerly taking your numb fingers and switching your gloves out with his. His gloves were already warm, and larger and kept the air insulated better. Your gloves barely fit his hands, but he didn’t seem to mind. His body heat leaked into you, numb limbs springing back to life as that pinpricky sensation crawled up your body.
You relaxed a bit more into the snow, mind clearer now. Soap moved even closer, now quite literally on top of you, trying not to crush you with his weight but also keeping you nice and warm. After a moment of shifting around and adjusting, you got quite comfortable.
“Thanks, Johnny.”
You mumbled, already seeing the stupid grin he’d be wearing because of the praise.
“Anytime, bonnie.”
Kyle “Gaz” Garrick ☁️
- Serial cuddle enjoyer.
- Usually the one to fall asleep first because he’s more relaxed around his team. Has fallen asleep on Ghost’s shoulder before and been promptly pushed off.
- Prefers cuddling in bed over anywhere else, will slip into your bed in the middle of the night if he felt lonely or somehow has a sixth sense for you getting nightmares.
- Likes cuddling in a pretzel sort of position, or face-to-face despite the fact that he buries his head in your neck every time.
Rousing from his sleep for god knows why, Kyle rubbed his eyes, slipping from the warm bed he slept in and padding over to the kitchen to grab a drink of water. His throat was dry and his tongue felt like sandpaper. Probably the consequences of not drinking enough water while on mission, but he was in his little flat and off duty for now, so it wasn’t like it mattered much anyway.
Drinking nearly an entire glass, he heard a small thug, and his sluggish brain snapped awake as instinct kicked in, he put the glass down, approaching your room where he’d heard the sound come from slowly. Your door was already open.
He peeked inside, abruptly opening it to avoid the awful tension of the slow creaks it would’ve made had he dragged it out, only to be met with the sight of you, his roommate, curled up on the floor and sniffling.
His eyes softened and he crouched down next to you, hands moving to brush the hair out of your face as he caught sight of your watery eyes.
“What’s wrong?”
He asked, nearly a whisper for fear of making you jump. You sniffled again, and tried to get to your feet, only to stumble and be caught by Kyle again before being sat on the edge of the bed by him.
“Had a nightmare.”
You answered in a meek tone, seeming a bit embarrassed, which then was overridden by surprise when Kyle sat on the edge of the bed next to you, calloused hands gently shifting your body around until he was lying right next to you, his dark brown eyes gazing into yours.
“I have them too,”
He admitted, watching as you carefully slipped a hand around him, moving closer as he pulled the blanket over both of your bodies. He relaxed, tense muscles going nearly limp as his head leaned into your shoulder, his breathing deepening out as both of your eyelids grew heavy, eventually shutting as you drifted off into a peaceful rest.
John Price 🏷️
- Is just a big bear of a man. Loves cuddling with his missus when he gets home from a mission.
- Prefers spooning, but when his joints get achy and sore he’ll just lay on his back and let you lay on top of him.
- Is a human furnace just like Soap, so you probably won’t be needing a blanket.
- He usually waits until you’re asleep to fall asleep, but on the really rough nights, he’s out in a few seconds flat.
- Enjoys having your hands in his hair.
- Definitely an experienced cuddler.
Just as you finished your shower, you heard the front door unlocking and opening, and not caring much about getting proper clothes on, you rushed over and pulled a very-tired-looking John into a hug.
He chuckled, hand giving you a few little pats on the head as he pulled you in, taking a deep whiff of the smell of your body wash and shampoo, before slowly releasing.
“Missed me, huh? Missed you too, bird.”
He mumbled as you refused to let go, only releasing when he gave you a light little pinch on the arm, leaving you to finish getting ready after your shower as he trudged off to change and probably at least get a comb through his hair.
With a small smile now on your face, you hurried through your skin and haircare routines faster than ever before, throwing on some underwear and pajamas. As you walked into your shared bedroom, you found John struggling to get a knot out of his brown hair.
“Let me,”
You said, gently taking the comb from his large fingers, brushing the ends of the knot out first, working down to the center of it when you finally got it out. He took the comb and placed it down on his little desk with a little “Thanks, darlin’”, then took your hand and led you over to the bed.
He crawled in first, groaning when his body was finally able to sink into the soft mattress of the bed, body aching after weeks of being gone as he laid on his back, you being quick to crawl above him, head laying against his chest.
He loosed a deep sigh, pulling the blankets over both of you despite the warmth already being shared between you two.
“M’ glad to be home.”
He muttered, pulling you closer, arms settling around you as he already began drifting off.
Smiling, you replied.
“Me too.”
Gary “Roach” Sanderson 🪳
- I definitely hc him as nonverbal (like he is in the games, for whatever reason, you can decide why) but that doesn’t mean he’s any worse at cuddling.
- Roach is a little bit of a wild sleeper, so expect a few nudges and maybe some flips from him during the night.
- Enjoys the sweetheart position the most, just because it lets him hear your heartbeat.
- Serial nuzzle enjoyer. Will nuzzle into you at any moment he can, it’s just something he really likes doing.
- Douses his pillowcases with a lethal amount of your signature perfume or what reminds him of you (has an entire candle of it, too.)
- Can be very clingy.
When you got back home from the little girl’s night you’d had, finding Gary wrapped around one of your pillows and holding it with a death grip, your favorite perfume on the bedside table and a lit candle to match in the same scent wasn’t something you’d been expecting.
As soon as you walked into the room, he glanced up, beckoning you closer almost frantically. With a small smile, you held up a finger, signaling to wait for just one moment. You slipped out of the dress you’d been donning, and pulled off the shoes as well, the heels having made your feet ache anyways.
You used some basic wipes to get any makeup off, deciding that the more complicated cleansing process would be left for the morning, and promptly pulled some pajamas on, finally walking over to the bed, and being pulled in.
Within seconds, you were under the covers, and softly laughing at how he hooked one arm around the back of your neck, pulling you gently into where your head was against his chest, and intertwining his legs with yours. The scruff of his slightly unshaven face scratched lightly against you as he rubbed and nuzzled into you unashamedly, peppering a few little kisses on you while he was at it.
“Clingy,”
You murmured teasingly, and he frowned for a moment, raising a brow as if to call you a hypocrite, and you hummed lightly for a moment in thought.
“Touché.”
You said to his silent response, pressing a light kiss to the tip of his nose, before finally settling in and getting comfortable against his body. Within a few minutes, the both of you were yawning, sleep pulling both of you slowly under as the rhythm of your breathing deepened.

This inspired me!!! Keep in mknd, I'm in the middle of a shopping center now typing this on my phone, so it wont be the best 😅 I still felt like sharing though, so here I hope you like it!:
~
Harper sat on the steps to Boone's place, elbows on his knees, a sour look on his fine face. He was watching Y/N talk with Miss Peaches and Boone, and... one of the new guys.
Their weren't nothing special about the boy- his posture was absolutely fucked, his sandy hair stuck to his forehead cuz of the sweat (Northerners just can't handle our heat. Puh), and he looked like he ate too much salt; all red, and splotchy. And-
Is that acne?? Christ-
Harper groaned and rolled his eyes, looking away then. Why was he even concerned about this? That kid was nothing compared to him, he knew it. Everyone in this town knew it- and you certainly knew it.
But that boy had one thing Harper did not.
He wasn't broke at all. He could look at Y/N and she could see how much he liked her; The admiration and the gooey-ness. Harper had lost that, a long time ago. He'd been here rotting away long before she came into his life, and she did make it - bein stuck here, - a million times better, but he could never love her so effortlessly like that. When he looked at her she just saw a broken old man. Well- on the inside, at least.
And he could tell that Y/N was eating it up. Gettin' looked at like that.
That boy was grinning like a goofy little fool, asking her questions just to keep her there, lookin nervous even.
Harper hated it with every fibre of his being. Y/N was his.
He wanted to go over there and make that fact crystal fucken clear. Walk on over to her and give that kid a glare that'd make his grandkids puke, then plant a kiss on her that'd be obscene a hundred years ago. He'd tell her sorry honey, I just couldn't resist.
But he didn't. Instead he was sat here, a pathetic old man glued to a porch and looking sulky over it. Jesus christ.
Just as Harper was about to get up and leave - he'd apologise to Buckman later. But right now he could not care about killin no yanks, - , a pair of boots land on the porch right by one of his hands. He doesn't flinch, he knows who it is.
He rolls his eyes, instead.
"'T's odd to see you in the back over here, Harper- what the hell are you doin'?"
Glancing up, Harper sees Buckman rub his jaw, looking thoughtful before looking down back at him. Harper glares and doesn't look away. "Relaxin'."
"Oh?" Buckman's eyes widen, fake-concerned. "Then why doya look like someone took a shit on your pillow just now?" He waives a hand in front of his face and scowls, 'smelling something'.
"Thats just my face, sir." Harper responds, contrary.
"... Son," Buckman sighs now, giving up pretences because he knows that Harper is stubborn as a mule- and he does not have the energy to break him tight this second. He's a very busy man; Theirs people ta eat. "I'm askin' you nicely. Go out there and deal with that whore in the purple. Please."
"Not today."
"Wh- " Buckman is not used to being refused.
"No thanks."
"'No thanks'- "
"Uh uh."
"Alright- "Looks like he is going to have to break the little shit. First things first, what's wrong with him? Taking a look around, Buckman tries to figure it out. "Why're- ... Oh."
Harper's gaze had returned to Y/N, lookin' especially pretty today and chattin' up some Yankee boy, and Buckman could feel the soul leaving his body again. The problem was pretty self explanatory Jesus christ. What- He- This is non problem!! Has Harper seen that kid?? He- He's got velcro on his shoes- Ughhhhhhh. "... Harper. Are you, perhaps, a little jeal- "
"Sir, I swear to God, if you suggest it- "
"Fine fine!" Buckman quickly raises his hands in surrender, seeing the other man get so snippy so quickly. "... But- "
"No."
"I think you- "
"I don't."
"Harper!- "
"Sir!- Ow!"
After smacking Harper on the back of the head, Buckman huffs. "Sorry, but it had to be done. Sheesh... Look, if you ask me... -ah," Harper opens his mouth then, probably to remind the mayor that he didn't, but turns away in defeat when Buckman raises his hand again; Warning him. "I know you didn't you little bastard, but if you did... I'd tell ya to drop it while it's hot. You're being a moron and it's not attractive."
"... you know sir, that makes a lot of sense. I feel a lot better, thanks."
"Great, now go and- "
"Not."
... One of these days, Buckman is going to find a way to kill everyone here and live the rest of his hell-like eternity in peace and its going to be so lovely- "I swear to- You know what? Fine. Here we go- "
Before Harper can even turn to see what in the world Buckman means by that, he's being yanked up and shoved down the stairs. "Hey!- "
"Get out there and don't make me say it again. Go seduce the little yankee bitch or go claim Y/N- I don't care. But keep your behind off that porch. If I see you sitting again I will find a way to kick your flat ass. Jesus christ almighty... gimmie strength... " With this, Buckman strides past Harper and approaches Boone and the rest of that group. Harper watches him spare Y/N and that doting yankee boy an exasperated glance, rolling his remaining eye, before excusing his wife and going to plant he 'festivities' with her.
Peaches goes off next, catching sight of better prey, and that leaves Y/N alone with that dopey looking fool hanging off her every word.
Harper watches them for another moment, seeing Y/N get her arm touched, and decides he really needs to go over there.
Because- no. That is too far. That's enough. Time to ruin that little yanks whole fucken day.
(I hope you like the little Harper drabble!! XDD And, side note- Buckman is so much more fun to write when he is not the love interest?? XDD Might have to write more Harper and Boone stuff just so I can write platonic, aide character Buckman XDDD )
BRO I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!!!
I'm so happy and flattered that I inspired you for one! And how you wrote Haroer being a jelous bitch and Buckman being a tired old man is spot on! And Y/N with the Yankee boy!! This boy sounds so sweet 🥹🥹🥹🥹
I want a whole multi chapter fic of this, you have no idea. Thank you for sharing with me!!!

Could I request Brick, Alejandro, Heather, Mike ( +Alters), with how they would react when the reader is hurt in a challenge?? If not thats totally fine! I hope you have a nice day/nice
Thank you for the suggestion!! I hope you're having a nice day as well! <3 (also I hope you don't mind if I don't do all the alters ^^ I'll just do a few.)
Brick
You know his whole "don't leave anyone behind thing"? Yeah, he immediately notices when you go down and he tells the team to wait (but knowing the Toxic Rats or Mutant Maggots, not all of them would)
"Y/N! Where did you get injured?"
Ofc he immediately asks that, and you try to tell him you're fine but your arm definitely shouldn't look like that and no shot you're making it to the end in this condition
You give him a look after he won't back down and begrudgingly tell him that it's your arm that got fucked and even though you can TECHNICALLY stand, the swinging of your arms when running/walking would cause enough pain.
The fact that it's your arm troubles him quite a bit because he can't just easily scoop you up and carry you like that.
He sits there with a puzzled look on his face before he drops down to your level and pulls you up onto his shoulders. Ofc he asks if it's okay after he does it because he didn't even stop to think before doing it.
Brick just carries you through the entire challenge, but not because he wanted to win, but because he wanted to get your arm taken care of as soon as possible.
Your team wins anyways because of the fact that the team decided to go ahead and because the other team was missing a few people.
Alejandro
Immediately drops whatever he's doing to your pained stance.
"Alejandro don't worry, I'm fine. Win it for the team." He has never heard such bs in his life.
"Y/N, you are not fine. You have never just dropped like this during a challenge, and besides, it'd be a shame to leave such a perfect being behind." Cue to the hand kiss which makes you wince.
Definitely sprained your wrist trying to climb up a tree or a mountain or something and now it's coming to bite you for not taking care of it earlier. To Alejandro's defense, you did just fall off of this next thing you were climbing while shouting because of your wrist.
He raises a brow at you and so you have to reluctantly agree to let him help you.
He insists on having you on his back like a koala or something. It would be the easiest way for him to carry you after all.
(Alejandro definitely continued to carry you after the climbing portion was over, but we don't speak about it. Owen already won't let it go and makes fun of him for being a softie.)
Heather
She doesn't notice that you got hurt until after the challenge is over.
The whole team is cheering because they won, but Heather slowly realizes that not everyone is there. She walks off to go looking for you.
No one else really notices because 1. They just won the challenge and 2. It's Heather disappearing. The less time with her, the better
Finally, she comes across you in the communal bathrooms, balancing on one leg as you try to patch up a nasty gash on your own.
Heather gags because ew blood, but then steps up a bit because it's you we're talking abut.
"Stop. Let me do it." Bossy as always.
Despite her tone, she's extremely gentle as she has you sit up on the sink as she gathers the supplies to help properly clean it up.
If you didn't have feelings for Heather before, this definitely helped you see her in a new light as it shows that she really cares.
Heather finishes it up and helps balance you when you get off the sink.
You try walking on your own, but she doesn't even allow it. Girlboss immediately just holds on to you and walks along with you. Probably calls you an idiot or something, affectionately of course.
Let's just say, Heather doesn't really get on your nerves as much anymore.
Mike
"Oh my gosh, Y/N, are you okay?!" Because y'all be ride or dies on a challenge, right next to eachother or some shit
You're not really sure if you're okay. Like, yeah, you just busted your ass pretty badly there and it may hurt to stand, but it's not like it'll impair you.
Yeah you just fell again.
Mike helps you stand up this time, heavily concerned about your state of being.
He isn't even worried about winning the challenge anymore he just wants you to be safe.
Mike would definitely call for help for you and then refuse to leave your side, even if it costed the team the challenge. He has so much love in his heart for the people he cares about :(
Manitoba
The obligatory "Crikey!" followed by him asking if you're alright.
You're clearly not and so ofc he just scoops you up and keeps on going.
No questions asks. Mans carries you until the end of the challenge and takes you to your cabin afterwards.
If you guys don't think Manitoba knows how to take care of someone you're dead wrong.
He now despises that challenge with a passion and will do anything to make sure you stay away of the area.
Vito
I'm saying that you get hurt in a fighting challenge just because I want Vito to throw hands.
He would.
He can't very well throw hands with some dirt or water or something, so of course you need to get hit by someone because of a challenge.
Shirt: Off
Fists: Out
Someone's Halls: About to be decked
"Eyyy what d'ya think you're doin' puttin' yo hands on this beaut?"
You're not the only one that's coming out of this challenge injured.

Howdy! i have a request? kinda based on "i don't wanna be free", reader is a rookie guard and almost gets stabbed by another prisoner but Yancy stops them and they become friends, if thats alright?
Another day, another close-call with a prisoner.
They tried sneaking up on you while you were standing on-guard, watching the others in the yard. You were too distracted by the small group playing basketball together to notice the person armed with a shiv behind you.
Then you heard the shout of a certain man from Ohio and looked just in time to see your attacker getting tackled to the ground.
“What’re yous doing?!!”
“You said it was okay, boss! We can stab ‘em, right?!! We made a whole song about it!!”
"Parole ain’t even up yet, punk! No reason to be doin’ this now!!”
“Hey, hey!! Break it up!!” Infuriated, you managed to separate the two, with the other person getting a lot of bruises on their face and arms. They scowled at you, but you managed to wrestle the shiv from their grasp.
They would’ve fought for it back had Mr. Murderslaughter not showed up after hearing all the commotion. But you explained the situation and had your attacker hauled off by a higher-ranking officer to solitary.
You just sighed. ‘Just another day for a rookie officer..why do they always gotta target us?’
“You okay, officer?”
Looking over at Yancy, you smiled tiredly and nodded. “Yeah, thanks..I-I didn’t even see them coming. Guess that makes me a rookie, still. But...” You eyed him suspiciously. “They said you guys made a song about harming us..is there something my boss needs to know?”
“U-Uh no!” He shook his head. “We made up a song about uh..how much we love prison! It’s just for fun!! I wasn’t expectin’ anybody to take it so literally.”
“Oh, really?” You hummed, curious.
“...yeah...”
Of course, almost everyone in this penitentiary has heard of Yancy’s musical talent, and how his recent song made it very clear that he loved living here and wasn’t actually trying to escape at all.
“.....well you should work on changing the lyrics so your buddies don’t get the wrong idea.”
“Huh? “Buddies”?? I didn’t even know the guy who tried stabbin’ yous!” He huffed in defense, though his pout vanished as he thought over your suggestion. “But..alright. I’ll change it. You wanna see the revisions when I'm done?”
“Sure thing. I’m going on break.” You checked your watch. “Take care, Yancy.”
“Ay yous too, officer!” He grinned, before he rushed back to his cell to fix the song lyrics.
.............
“Officer [Y/n]!!!”
It was early in the morning, and you were just getting some quick breakfast before your shift.
Yet Yancy rushed over to your table, wide awake like an excited kid on Christmas morning. He held a paper in his hand, grinning from ear to ear as he sat beside you.
You found it a bit odd he was acting so...nice to you, considering he usually didn’t like the guards--rookies or not. But he did save your life yesterday and seemed serious about wanting your advice.
This was the least you could do for him.
“Morning, Yancy. So what you got for me here?” You looked at the paper, seeing it was a songsheet. It was titled I Don’t Wanna Be Free, which..wasn’t all that surprising. It got straight to the point.
You saw he changed the “shiv a rookie guard” lyrics to “kick” instead.
That’s it. Just one word.
Looking up at him, and seeing his eyes shimmering with hope that he gained your approval, you just politely smiled and sighed.
"Well, it's better than being stabbed, I suppose."

Okey, hear me out plz. Could you write about Sero, Tamaki, and Bakugou (separately) having a girlfriend who has psionic powers (like the Scarlet Witch) and she is Hawk's protégé. He like to think that he's like some kind of father figure for her so he's suuuuper caring and when he sees her having a smoochie moment with them he goes in PROTECTIVE FATHER mode and he gives the boys the "father talk *ejem...threat*"
Thank u you beautiful living being🌈🧡
Father Figure
Author's Thoughts: I got you bby! I don't write for Hawks so I hope he's at least a bit in character. I hope you don't mind its not headcannons.
Warning: Mentions of violence, threats, etc.
Hanta Sero
Tumblr media
You were always like a child to Keigo. The child he'd figured he'd figured he just wouldn't get the chance to have. And though your quirk was different from his, he did a great job training you.
He put in the work, the research, getting to know your quirk. He read records with people of similar quirks, got in contact with those around, all so he could accurately train your ability. He wanted to be the best he could for you.
You grew up so quickly in his opinion. Too quickly.
From graduating high school, to headlining as his sidekick. To finally having a boyfriend.
Keigo was hesitant to meet this boyfriend of yours, but you'd told him how much it meant to you. And he'd do anything for you.
So he played as nicely as he could, staring at you and the boy you sat with.
"So.. Sero.. Are you planning on being a hero?" Keigo looked him up and down with a gaze full of judgement.
Hanta gave a nod, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. "Yeah. I've always wanted to be a hero. I actually attended UA with Y/n." He looked at you and seeing your smile almost melted the tension.
Almost.
"Hey, Kid, could you go order me something to eat?" Keigo asked you, smiling innocently. Almost too innocently.
You gave him a look. He simply leaned his cheek against his palm, blinking owlishly. "Pretty please?"
Sighing, you stood up and nodded. "Got it. I'll be back." You leaned down and pressed a small kiss to Hanta's lips, something that made his smile tighten.
You looked at Keigo and pointed at him. "Play nice. Pretty please?" You crossed your arms. He gave you a sigh and a nod.
So you hesitantly walked away.
And the smile dropped from Keigo's lips.
"I'll just be straight with you, Hanta. She means everything to me. And if you value life itself, you'll treat her like she's everything to you. That girl doesn't love loosely, so this is nothing short of a honor- no, a privilege for you."
Hanta straightened out, nervous about Keigo's sudden change. "I-I understand, sir.."
Keigo gave a nod and leaned back in his chair, smiling again. "Well, I should hope so!" He chuckled softly.
That's when you walked over. "Here. I got you nachos. Did you two find something nice to talk about?"
The man with wings took the nachos. "Thank you, Chicken Wing. We sure did." He looked you Hanta who stiffly nodded.
You, having common sense though, put two and two together. "... Keigo, I asked you to be nice!"
"The nicest thing I can do for you is make sure he treats you right."
Tamaki Amajiki
Tumblr media
Tamaki was afraid.
You'd told him all about Keigo, how protective he could be. And the only thing you'd promised was that he wouldn't touch him.
You and Tamaki were planning a trip to a nice resort.
You'd needed to grab something from Keigo's house, so Tamaki had to sit downstairs with said man.
Well, Keigo sat down. Tamaki stood in the corner, as far as possible. But he couldn't escape Keigo's glare. And if looks could kill..
It wasn't like he had a problem with Tamaki. He knew Fatgum, and the man hsd told Keigo all about his two sidekicks.
In fact, Keigo noticed that just like you'd become a daughter to him, Fatgum treated his sidekicks like his own sons.
The two often bonded over photos they kept in their wallets, sharing stories. Two parents bonding over their children, that's what everyone else saw.
It was from talking to Fatgum that he knew Tamaki wasn't a bad kid. That doesn't mean he wasn't gonna have a talk with him.
"Listen, Kid. I don't hate'cha. You're one of Fatgum's sidekicks and you seem.. Harmless enough."
Tamaki was sure it that should have offended, but Hawks continued either way.
"But when she needs you, I gotta know that you'll be there for her. She doesn't need you to protect her but if she ever does, I gotta know you'll do it. Take good care of her. I'd hate to end your whole career."
It wasn't like he had a problem with Keigo's orders. Tamaki loved you and would never let anything happen to you. Hell, he'd promised himself he'd be a man for you.
Keigo gave the sweetest smile and Tamaki shuddered, moving more into the corner.
It was the threat that scared him. He didn't know if he meant he was gonna kill him or if he was going to destroy his rising hero career.
You finally came downstairs with the object you needed. "Alright, I'm ready-.. Tama, are you okay?" You walked over, concerned.
"I-I wanna go home.."
You glared at the winged man and crossed your arms. "Keigo!"
Keigo leaned back into the couch. "Thanks for visiting you two, it was a pleasure havin' ya."
Katsuki Bakugou
Tumblr media
Keigo was doing an autograph signing at the mall, just where you and Katsuki just so happened to have your date.
"Why do you think everyone is crowding over there?" You asked Katsuki, looking towards the crowd of people surrounding Keigo.
You'd thought his signing would be at another mall, not knowing that the venue had been changed last minute.
"No clue, don't care. Probably some big sale or somethin'. Why, you wanna check it out?" He looked at you, the arm around your waist pulling you closer.
You smiled and shook your head. "Nah. Let's just go to the bookstore then head to the park. Oh, actually, I'm gonna use the bathroom first."
You leaned up and gently kissed his lips, him blushing and returning the kiss in embarrassment.
When you pulled away, he mumbled under his breathe. "Idiot, you can't just catch me off guard like that."
Giggling softly, you winked at him. "Nobody saw. They're all crowded around that big sale."
"Tch. Like I care if anyone sees."
With a grin, you went off to the closest bathroom.
What you didn't know was Keigo was watching you through the crowd of people. He looked up to everyone around him and gave them a charming grin. "I will get back to autographs in a moment. Please, grant me a break though."
The crowd seemed disappointed but left him alone and allowed Keigo to walk off.
He approached Katsuki quickly, who paid more attention to his phone.
"Ahem. A moment of your time."
Katsuki looked up and his eyes went wide at the sight of the number two hero. "Hawks? Was that you over with that crowd then?"
"Yeah. I see that you've been headlining. Haven't seen your face this famous since the sports festival." Keigo chuckled, taking a step further.
Katsuki nodded. "I'm making moves, on my grind. Doing what needs to be done to make my mark."
The pro hero nodded and put a hand on his shoulder. "Well, you're doin great. There's just.. One thing."
He looked at him in confusion. "One thing..?"
Keigo pointed towards the direction you went in. "That girl you were just with. That's my little girl."
The red-eyed boy looked, following his finger. "Um, yeah. She told me."
Then there was a sudden tension.
"And so.. You understand why I won't tolerate you're bullshit."
"...What?"
"You heard me. You're older, so you're probably not the same brat. But from what I hear, those asshole tendencies are still there, and I won't tolerate it when it comes to that girl. You won't hurt her. And if you do, we're gonna run into a bit of trouble."
Katsuki shook his head. "I.. I wouldn't hurt her." Normally, he feared no adult, minus Aizawa of course. But Hawks was looking at him like he was prey.
"Damn straight, idiot." Hawks chuckled softly.
That's when you came back over. "Sorry babe. Oh, hey Hawks! What are you doin' here?"
The two of you shared a hug. "What's up, Nugget? I was signing was autographs. You two?"
You pulled away and grinned. "Katsuki and I were on a date. This is great, I've been meaning to introduce you guys."
Hawks gave a nod. "Interesting guy, he is. But I should get going. Have fun on your date. And Katsuki, have her home by nine."

Maybe something like fem reader getting in a bad accident one day and losing her memory but Levi is the only thing she remembers, so she’s clinging on to him like a lost puppy while he tries to help her regain her memories
C/n: “a lost puppy” why is that so adorable? Thanks for requesting and I hope that you enjoy🤍

Remember You. (Levi x Reader)
It was just a stupid training exercise. A stupid field day where nothing bad was supposed to happen.
But cadets, who were no older than 15, were bound to make mistakes and fuck up a couple of times before getting the handle of a 30kg gear. You stood on a branch, munching an apple while watching the new recruits shoot across the forest. “Pick it up! Activate your gas if you need to! Watch your sides and don’t slow down!” You shout and take a bite of your apple. “How ya doin’, Y/n?” Jin asks as he lands next to you. “Alright. They need to work on their speed though.”
Jin was about to reply but a young girl, who was named Christa, shouted as her gear stopped mid air. You acted quickly and shot your gears towards her. “Hey now. Don’t panic.” You say as you fiddle with her anchor shooters and unjam it. “Alright. Shoot it there and when you’re done, go straight to squad leader Hange. She’ll help you sort your gear out.” You smile and Christa nods. When she leaves, you were about to go to the parallel branch but then you heard a loud “WHOA! WATCH OUT!”
But this person slammed into you, and instead of saving yourself, you became a human cushion to save the person from slamming into a tree. You did though and you hit your head first and got knocked out cold.
~~~~
Levi stood watch as the doctors examined you. He leaves for five minutes and comes home to the news that you’ve been in an accident with a cadet. Apparently, Yeager was too caught up in his own world to watch where he was going and rammed straight into you. “I’ll see to it that Yeager is on stable duty.” Jin says and Levi nods. He didn’t care. He just wanted you awake.
The doctors said that you suffered a major concussion due to you taking the fall on your head. You were in a mild coma that should last a couple of days and when you wake up, you had to be on leave for a month to regain your strength.
Levi never left your side. Despite having duties a Captain has, he couldn’t bring himself to leave you. One night, Levi placed his head down and held your hand as he drifted off to sleep. Maybe he was too tired and sleep deprived, but he felt your hand squeeze his.
~~~~
The next morning, you slowly opened your eyes to bright lights. Where were you? What is this?
You looked down to see Levi facing you as he slept. He woke up as soon as he felt you shuffle and looked at you, wide eyed and smiled. “About time, brat.” He leans forward and cups your cheek. “How are you?” He asks in a hushed tone that could make you fall back to sleep.
“L-Levi. Where am I?”
“The infirmary. You took quite a knockout, my love.”
You furrow your eyebrows as he speaks. A knockout? You don’t remember a knockout. “How did that happen?”
As Levi was about to answer, the door slams open to reveal Hange. “Ah! Y/n! You’re awake!!” She squeals and you grip Levi’s hand harder. “Wh-Who are you? Who is she, Levi?” You turn to him and he tilts his head. “That’s..Hange, Y/n. Your best friend?”
“Yeah! It’s me!” She exclaims.
You lean closer to Levi as you eye her. “Levi is my best friend. I don’t know where I am or who you are but I know Levi is my boyfriend and best friend.” You pout and turn your head away and nuzzle Levi’s neck. He looks at Hange who looks back in the confusion. “I’ll get a doctor.”
~~~~
Short term memory loss.
That’s what you were diagnosed with. Apparently you knew nothing about the survey corps or how you got here. But you remembered him. How he saved you from a titan all those years ago but to you, it was a few months back.
You went with Levi back to your shared room and sat in the bed. “Comfy?” He asks as he fluffs up your pillow. You nod and he kisses your forehead. “You really don’t remember anything do you?”
“I remember you. That’s all that matters, right?” You smile as you cup his cheek. He takes your hand and kisses your palm. As much as he loved that, you were an important person to the Corps. A leader. Your squad needs you but now, your mindset is back to when you lived in the village and he rescued you.
“We need to do something to get your memory back. Let’s take a walk. I’ll be right with you.” He offers and you nod. “Okay.”
So now, Levi walked down the corridor with you on his arm. Many soldiers stood and saluted the both of you but you just hid your face in his arm. Levi jerks his head to dismiss them and continues your walk.
You both head to the mess hall where many soldiers sat and ate and talked. With you on his arm, everyone looked at you. They never saw him so open with affection with you before but it was different now.
You were a town girl. A civilian in your head.
Erwin stood up as you sat down with Levi at the table. “Y/n. How are you?” He asks as you hold Levi’s hand. “I’m ok. Thank you. You are?” You stick your hand to shake his. Erwin knew that you couldn’t remember him and he missed seeing the shy girl that used cling to Levi before. “Erwin Smith. Commander here at the Survey Corps. Lovely to meet you.”
Levi glares at Erwin as he used the same line he used back then. He looked at you to see you close your eyes and sigh. “You alright?” You look at Levi with a confused expression. “Yeah. I think.” Hange decides to make an appearance and sits next to you. “Hiya! I’m Hange! Hange Zoe. I see you and Levi are quite the couple.” She remarks and you blush.
“Yes. He makes me very happy. I’m glad to have met him.” You say as you lock eyes with Levi who smiled at you. Suddenly, many youngsters stand by you as they introduce themselves to you.
“I’m Eren Yeager! Lieutenant L/n, I’m so sorry for causing your injuries. I assure that I’m working harder on my control and speed on the ODM gear.” A young brown-haired boy says and you tilt your head. “Huh?”
Levi glares at Eren who cowers away. You smile at the bit when your head starts to pain. “O-Ow.” You cry as you hide in Levi’s shoulder, holding your head. “What happened?” He asks as he holds you. “M-My head. It hurts, Levi.” Levi eyes Hange who gives him a cup of water and he holds it to your lips. “Here, drink.” You quickly gulp down the liquid and then look at Levi.
“Le…vi?”
~~~~
A warm bed and strong arms surround you as you start to wake up. You look up to see Levi watching you. “Hi.” You greet and he hums as he kisses your head. “How’s your head?” He asks as he touches your cheek. “Much better apparently.” You tear away from his arms and wake up to stretch.
“Do you…remember how you got hurt, babe?”
You turn and face him as you rub your temple. “Uh..yeah. I helped a cadet and another came flying towards me. Then..I..,” you widen your eyes and look at Levi who had a small smile on his face. “Oh my god. Did I really do that?” He nods and you cover your face.
Levi gets up and hugs you from behind. “I really liked having all shy. Like we were first together and you were blushing.” He mumbles as he kisses your shoulder. “Did my squad see me like that?”
“Yeah. They had a really good laugh, by the way.”
Great. Now the whole army knows how much of a blushing girl you were before you became a hardcore lieutenant of the Survey Corps.

Lock the Door
a/n: college!Harry one shot because why the f not??????? I’ve wanted to write a good college!Harry au for aw while, and I’m happy with this. 11K of friends to lovers. (not proofread)
Warnings: Smut.
Tumblr media
It was junior year of college, Y/N and her friends were thrilled to finally be out of the dorms. Even though they were still living on campus, they were in a student apartment, and incredibly thankful. Now instead of sharing a bathroom with hundreds of other people, there would only be four of them. The only thing was Y/N’s parents weren’t thrilled about the people she was rooming with.
There was her best friend, Liv, who her parents actually really liked. It was the other two roommates that made them feel uneasy. See, Liv really wanted to live with her boyfriend Chris, but they didn’t want to exactly live by themselves, and the student apartments for just two people were really expensive. They’d been dating since second semester their freshman year so it wasn’t weird that they wanted to be in closer proximity. Y/N also thought Chris was an amazing person. He and Liv never made her feel like a third wheel, it was an ideal situation. The three would have been fine to live together, but the university had certain policies in place. One guy was not allowed to live with two girls, they needed another guy. That’s when the topic of Harry came up.
//
“I know he’s not your favorite of my friends, but the other people he was supposed to live with are going off campus, which he can’t afford to do.”
“It’s not that he’s not my favorite, I just don’t know him that well.” Y/N shrugged. “If that’s the case, I think Liv and I should share a room…”
“Yeah, that works. Chris and I don’t wanna be on top of each other all the time, we’re just sick of going across campus all the time.” Liv says. “So, you’d really be okay with Harry living with us? You’ve said before you don’t really care for his lifestyle…”
“He’s just not the first person I would hang out with, but if it means we get this apartment, then I’m cool with it. We’ll get to know each other better if we live together, right?”
//
When Y/N broke the news to her parents they got into a big fight with her about it, but she assured them that a lot of other students did what she and her friends were doing. Living with boys really wasn’t that big of a deal. If anything it would give her practice for when she someday actually got a boyfriend that she would eventually move in with.
The four of them got coffee together the morning they had to have the housing application in. Harry didn’t say much, clearly not a morning person, but he seemed alright with the situation. He and Chris were good enough friends, and he was also excited to not be in a dorm next year.
“I just have one request.” Y/N says. “A lot of the apartments usually have one room that’s bigger than the other, from what I’ve noticed. I’d like for Liv and I to have the bigger room. Chris, I’ve seen your dorm, you literally have like nothing in there. Liv and I have a ton clothes and other things that we’ll space for…”
Chris and Harry look at each other and shrug.
“Alright, that’s not problem.” Chris says. “We should make a group text so over the summer we can see who’s bringing what. We need to figure out dishes and other kitchen shit.”
“And we’ll still need a mini fridge for extra shit, one of my friends was tellin’ me there’s not much room in the apartment fridges. I can bring the one I have.”
“I have a microwave.” Y/N says. “Happy to bring that too.”
“We’ll also need a chore chart.” Liv says. “Just because Y/N and I will be the women of the house does not mean we’ll be the maids. I am not going to be on my hands and knees cleaning the bathroom all the time. We should also pool in money for toilet paper and stuff like that.”
“Good idea, babe.” Chris kisses her cheek and Harry rolls his eyes.
That was is right there, the attitude that turned Y/N’s stomach. She thought Chris and Liv were a really cute couple, their affection didn’t bother her at all, but Harry seemed overly annoyed. All it was, was a peck on the cheek.
//
You all wished each other a good summer when the time came. The four of you group texted off and on best you could to make sure there was little miscommunication about who was to bring what. Since Harry was an international student, he would be moving in a week before everyone else. Y/N was actually happy about this because he would be there to help her move in. She’d be coming up the night before move in to get a good parking spot, and then her parents would come the next day with the rest of her things.
For the first time, she texted Harry outside the group chat when she arrived at her apartment. He opened the door for her only wearing a pair of shorts. Her eyes grew wide, and he notices.
“Sorry, it’s hotter than satin’s asshole in here, I hope you brought a fan for yourself.” He rubs the back of his neck, and you laugh.
“I did. That’s the worst thing, no A/C in these old apartment. At least it’s only hot like this for a couple of weeks, right?” He hums his response as she walks in. “To be honest I was expecting a mess…but it looks good in here.”
“Not much to make a mess with.” He shrugs. “I rearranged some of the furniture in the living area so it was less tight next to the kitchen. Got the TV set up too.”
“I can see that, it looks nice.” You smile.
“So…do you like need some help with your shit?”
“That would be great, actually. The microwave is pretty heavy.”
“Thank god you brought it with you. I’ve been dying for some popcorn.”
“Great, you can stink it right up.”
“Relax, I was kidding.” He rolls his eyes. “Take a joke, Y/N.”
Her mouth falls open as he walks out to her car. He opens the trunk and hoists the microwave out while she grabs her luggage bags that were full of clothes.
“I can bring that up for you. It’s an up and up, so Chris and I are on that level, and you and Liv will be up top. That was the bigger room just like you requested.”
“Thanks, I appreciate that.”
Harry helps get everything else inside while Y/N goes to get a prime parking spot. Harry felt sort of awkward just standing around while she unpacked certain things for the kitchen.
“Jesus, it really is hot in here, I need to go change.” She wipes some sweat from her forehead.
Y/N goes up to her room and opens the two small windows, and turns her fan on to try to get the air to move. She comes down a few minutes later in just a sports bra and a pair of shorts.
“This is sort of awkward, but you help me with my bed? I’m having a tough time getting it up a little higher…”
“Not awkward…at…all.” When he looks at her he sees how little clothing she’s wearing.
“If you get to be shirtless then I get to dress like this.” She says, putting her hands on her hips.
“I didn’t say anything.” He smirks. “Besides, I’m sure we’ll be seein’ each other in a lot less as the year goes on.”
She shakes her head and follows him up. Harry’s able to get the bet up a few pegs so Y/N can slide the small dresser underneath it, creating more floor space.
“That’s perfect! My parents are bringing those plastic pins you can stack as like a makeshift dresser that fits in the closet tomorrow. Hmmm.”
“What?”
“Well, usually my mom helps me make the bed. It’s just so long, it’s hard to get a good grasp on the sheet.”
“I can help if you want.”
“You’ve done enough.”
“It’s fine, I don’t mind.” He smiles. “After this though would you wanna get out for a bit? I feel like it’s cooler outside. We could go downtown for a slice.”
“Oh, I like that idea a lot. Pizza is a must right now.”
Harry helps you get her sheets on her bed, and she tell him she’ll fix the rest later. Y/N knew she wouldn’t need a lot of extra blankets tonight. She throws on a shirt and so does he, and out the door they go. They walk down town the local pizza place, and grab a booth after getting their slices.
“Nice and cool in here, huh?” He says.
“So much better.” She giggles. “Where are your other friends living?”
“They’re over on Russell Street. It’s kinda nice, I’ll have a place to go party, and then have a quiet place to come back to afterwards. Think it all worked out for the best.”
“Can you remind me again what your major is? I know Chris is Sports Management…”
“I’m an Art major…” He says quietly. “And yes, I know it’s going to be hard for me out there once I graduate.”
“Woah, I didn’t say anything.” She puts her hands up in defense. “I think that’s cool actually. What do you do? Paint? Sculpt? Draw?”
“Mix of all three actually. Basically if I can get my hands dirty, I will.” He smirks. “I just wanted to get a degree in something I liked doin’, but I do have a minor in graphic design just in case I need somethin’ to fall back on.”
“Oh, is that how you and Chris met? That’s his minor too.”
“Mhm.” He takes a bite of his pizza. “We had a couple of classes together and got paired on some projects, hit it off right away.”
“That’s great.”
“How did you and Liv meet?”
“We roomed together second semester freshmen year. Our other roommates both dropped out so we got paired randomly. She’s the best, I got really lucky. She was already dating Chris when we met.”
“The three of you seem close.”
“He’s really nice, always included me. They never made me feel like a third wheel which was nice. I mean, I have other friends, don’t get me wrong. I found things to do when they needed their alone time.”
“And you ever find any alone time?”
“That’s an awfully personal question, don’t you think?” She scoffs.
“Thought we were gettin’ to know each other a bit here…sorry.”
“It’s okay…um…I mean, there are guys I’ve been alone with…” Y/N clears her throat. “I use Tinder like every other college student, you know?” He hums his response and finishes up his slice. He leans back and sits with his arm strong across the back of the booth. “What about you?”
“Eh, I like to meet people in person, at like a party or somethin’.” He thinks for a moment, and leans on the table to be a bit closer so no one else around could really hear. “You’re pretty, Y/N, why do you use Tinder?” She blushes. “I mean, surely you could just meet someone out.”
“I…well, I don’t really go to big parties, mostly kickbacks.” He nods and finishes up his bottle of soda.
“You ready?”
“Mhm.”
They both walk back to the apartment, and he keys in. She goes upstairs to keep unpacking and to tidy up. She was trying to hang up some curtains, but she fell back from trying to reach to high. Harry hears the thud and rushes right up. He had a nicer short sleeve shirt on now, and a nicer pair of shorts.
“Are you okay?!”
“Yeah.” You laugh. “Just lost my balance. Do you think you could help me hang these up quick?”
“Sure.”
The curtains get hung and they look great with the twinkling lights Y/N strung up.
“Liv and I love these lights.” She looks at him. “You like nice.”
“Matt’s havin’ a party…do you wanan come?”
“God, with the amount of time I’d need to get ready you’d be late.” You laugh.
“I wasn’t plannin’ to leave for another hour, plenty of time to freshen up.”
“Sure, I could come out for a bit, thanks.”
He leaves her to get ready. She puts her hair up in a cute, messy bun, and touches up some makeup. Y/N finds a cute pair of shirts and a crop top to throw on and down the stairs she goes. Harry was pouring two shots of raspberry vodka into two small glasses.
“Here.” He smiles. “Wait, you drink, right?”
“Yes.” You giggle. “I can’t wait to turn twenty-one. Just a few more months.”
“Same here, February actually.”
“No way! Me too. When’s yours?”
“The first, yours?”
“The fourth.”
“Wow, that’s crazy.” They clink their glasses and off to the party they go.
//
Y/N drank way too much last night, and she knew her parents would be able to tell. They were there bright and early with the rest of her things. They also put Harry to work.
“You have a lot of shit, you know that?” He says, setting another box down.
“I’m well aware.”
Eventually Liv and Chris show up and it’s hugs all around. Y/N and Liv get a minute alone in their room, finally.
“So how was last night with just you and Harry?”
“It was good! We went out for pizza, he helped me a bunch with my things, and he took me to a party. I’m glad we had the time to get to know each other a little bit.”
“Me too. He can be kind of shy from what Chris tells me.”
“Apparently he’s an art major.”
“I wonder if he’ll hang any of his things up.”
“You know, he’s been in our room a ton already, but I didn’t think to go into his.”
“Well, let’s check it out.” They both go down and into the boy’s room.
Both sides were organized, but they could tell whose side was whose. Harry had his art supplies all over his desk, and had boxes of paint and brushes under his bed. He had a couple of things up as well.
“Looks good in here guys.” Liv says.
Y/N and Liv end up going out for lunch with Y/N’s parents, and then they go on a trip to the grocery store to pick up what they think they need.
“Alright honey, I guess we’ll see you at Thanksgiving, if not sooner.” Y/N’s mother says, giving her a hug.
“Please, be careful.” Her dad says.
“I’ll be fine. Let me know when you get back home. Thanks for everything, love you both!” She sighs as she closes the door. “Finally.”
Y/N and Liv go up to their room and continue decorating it to their liking while Harry and Chris get their gaming consoles hooked up to the TV in the living area.
“So…you got to know Y/N a little last night?”
“Yeah, she’s pretty cool so far. I was kinda worried, I didn’t think she liked me every much.”
“She just didn’t know you, that’s all. What did you guys do?”
“I helped her with her things, we grabbed a slice of pizza, and then I took her to Matt’s for a party. I think there were like three different guys that tried to take her home, but she turned them all down.” He shrugs.
“And what did you do?”
“She didn’t have a key yet, so I made sure she got back here, and then I slipped out an hour or so later to hook up with this girl that gave me her number at the party.”
“Well, thanks for getting her back here at least.” Chris chuckles.
“I’m not a fuckin’ asshole.” He nudges him playfully. “She did have fun at the party, I’ll probably bring her out again. You all can come any time. I feel like that place is gonna be my second home.”
Y/N and Live come down with all the things they like to keep in the bathroom and the boys look scared. For a student apartment it was a decent size bathroom, with a good size tub-shower. Liv opens the cabinets under the sink, and you hand her two boxes of pads and tampons.
“Yup, definitely livin’ with women.” Harry smirks and crosses his arms.
“If feminine products are going to bother you-“ Liv starts, but he cuts her off.
“Got a mum and a sister back home, periods don’t scare me. Was just simply makin’ an observation.”
“Good.” She grabs a small trashcan puts a bag in it. Y/N hands her the lid. “Listen to me very carefully, this is just for Y/N and I. There’s another small can for community use, but this is for her and I’s…”
“Say no more.” Chris says. “Just keep it under the sink and we won’t touch it.”
“I also would like some courtesy with shaving.” Y/N says. “I really don’t wanna see pubes around the toilet.” She crosses her arms. “If you make a mess, you clean it up.”
“I feel like the two of you think we’re savages.” Harry laughs. “I’ve been in a girl’s bathroom before, and I have to say, I think girls are way more disgusting.”
“Why were you in a girl’s bathroom?” Liv asks.
“I was asked to join someone in the shower.” Harry says bluntly. “And it didn’t last long because we both walked in and saw a fuckin’ bloody tampon on the floor. So we went to the men’s bathroom and it was spotless. And while we’re on the topic, you both have long hair, so if you don’t wanna see pubes around the toilet, I don’t wanna see hair in the drain.”
“Deal.” Y/N says. “Let’s move on to the kitchen, shall we?” The four walk out to the kitchen area. “If you make a mess in the microwave, you clean it immediately, don’t leave it for someone else.”
“If someone’s name is on something in the fridge, don’t eat it.” Chris says. “However, I would like to see us cooking together. Like if someone makes pasta, someone else could throw in a meat or veggie.”
“That’s a good idea.” Liv says. “If you make a mess in the fridge clean it up. Check expiration dates. Oh! Trash is a big thing. We all need to take turns with that. If you see it getting full, just take it out, don’t leave it for someone else.”
After spending over an hour on a chore chart and going over more house rules, the four feel satisfied.
//
A few weeks into the semester, and Y/N noticed that Harry wasn’t home a lot. He was either down at the art studio, or at his friend’s apartment. She also noticed he didn’t sleep there much on the weekends, but it worked out well for Chris and Liv so they could have the room alone when they needed. Y/N never saw Harry bring a girl home with him, and she was sort of relieved.
Living with two guys wasn’t as awkward as Y/N and Liv thought it might be. Everyone was really chill, and it was nice to cook together. It was like being in a little family.
One morning Harry woke up late for class, but desperately needed to shower. Y/N happened to be in there. Everyone usually showered at the same time, but Harry was in a rush and annoyed. Liv and Chris had already left for class. Harry was standing the hall, just in a towel, waiting for you to finish. When he hears the water turn off, he sighs with relief. When she didn’t come out right away, he groans.
“The fuck is she doin’ in there.” He knocks on the door. “Y/N?! I’m runnin’ late, and I need to shower!”
She opens the door immediately and they both freeze. Her eyes fall to the towel that was hanging low on his waist, and then up to him. Her towel wasn’t exactly as secure as it could be either. Her hair was just brushed out and dripping wet down her chest.
“I’m so sorry, why didn’t you knock sooner? I, uh, just let me grab my blow dryer…” She snatches it and scoots by him.
“I’ll be quick if you need to get back in there…”
“Thanks.”
Harry takes his very quick, and semi-cold shower, and gets ready for class. He had ab out ten minutes to spare. Y/N comes down the stairs, and slips into the bathroom to grab some spare tampons, and bumps into Harry on her way out, causing her to drop them.
“Shit sorry, I’m fuckin’ up your entire routine this mornin’.” He bends down to pick up what he caused her to drop and blushes when he sees that they’re tampons. He grabs them anyways and hands them to her.
“It’s okay, really.” She takes them and sticks them in her bag. “Um…well, have a good day Harry.”
“You too.”
//
“Y/N?” Harry knocks on her bedroom door late one night. She climbs out of bed and goes down the few steps to open it.
“Is everything okay, Harry?”
“Yeah, I think Liv and Chris fell asleep…and I really don’t wanna sleep on the couch, nor do I wanna go in there in case they decide to get busy again.” He huffs. He looked exhausted, he was at the studio all evening and just wanted to sleep.
“Oh! Well…okay, I could sleep in her bed if you wanna sleep in mine?”
He follows her up the stairs.
“I’ll just sleep in hers, we’re all close enough now. She doesn’t really have a leg to stand on to say much about it.” He yawns and takes his shirt off.
“Okay.” He watches as she uses the small step stool to get back into her bed. He waits until she’s scrolling on her phone to take his pants off, and he climbs into Liv’s bed. “I’m gonna turn the light off now.”
“Alright.”
“Goodnight, Harry.”
“Goodnight, Y/N.”
//
Similar nights to those kept happening, and Harry was starting to get aggravated, so he called for a roommate meeting to discuss it.
“I’m sick of not bein’ able to sleep in my own bed. I know I’m not here a lot, but when I am, I’d like to be able to just go to my room and go to sleep.”
“You’re right, Harry. I’m sorry.” Liv says, sort of embarrassed.
“I think you two should just share a room. It’s clear that’s what you want anyways.”
“But what about Y/N?” Liv looks at her.
“I feel like Harry’s been my roommate anyways.” She shrugs. “We share every other room with guys, guess I wouldn’t mind rooming with one either.”
“What if your parents find out?” Chris asks.
“It’s not like we’re gonna push the bed together and sleep next to each other like you both are probably gonna do. He’ll have his side, and I’ll have mine. I think it makes the most sense too.”
That afternoon everyone helps move things around. Liv gets situated with Chris while Harry gets his things the way he likes.
“You know secretly, I’m happy they didn’t ask for the bigger room. It’s way nicer up here.” Harry says, sitting down on his new bed. “You sure you’re okay with this? I don’t wanna take away your privacy…”
“I’ll just change in the bathroom more.” She shrugs. “Or, I mean, just look the other way if I happen to need to change quick up here and I’ll give you the same courtesy.”
“I know I’m not here a lot on the weekends, but for the times I am, I mean, uh, like do you ever bring anyone back here with you? If you could just text me a warning or somethin’ or put somethin’ on the door.”
“I don’t…I haven’t, um, it’s been a dry start to the semester.” She blushes. “I had my period, and then I’ve started to get busy with my classes…I’ve gone out a few times, but there’s also no one I’ve really wanted to hook up with. Don’t worry, if the occasion happens I’ll give you a heads up.”
“Cool.”
“Is that what you’re out doing on the weekends? Hooking up?”
“Sometimes…mostly I just end up sleepin’ at Matt’s. They have a futon for me there for when I get too drunk to walk all the way back here. You should come out to another party, he’s havin’ people over tonight if you wanna come. Let the lovebirds down there have a little privacy.”
“Good idea, yeah, that sounds like fun.” She gets up and goes into her closet to pick out a casual dress. “Is your friend Matt single?” She asks without looking at him.
“Uh, yeah. Why?”
“I don’t know…I think he’s cute, and he was really nice to me last time I was there. Gave me a bunch to drink.”
“Well, that’s just common courtesy when you bring a girl to a party. Get her all liquored up.” Harry smirks.
“Mhm.” She rolls her eyes at him, and grabs a blue dress from her closet and her jean jacket. “Do you think he’d be into me?”
“What’s not to be into?”
“Oh stop it.”
“M’serious! You’re really nice, and you’re cute. He’d go for you.”
“Thanks, Harry.”
//
Harry walks Y/N to the party after pregaming a bit at their place.
“Harry!” Matt says as he walks in. “And you brought Y/N again, hey.”
“Hi.” They smile at each other.
“We’re just setting a game of flip cup up in the kitchen, you guys wanna play?”
“Sure!” Y/N says brightly.
The night was a lot of fun. Harry found himself talking to some girl who was clearly trying to get him to go home with her, but in the pit of his stomach he wanted to make sure you got home okay.
“Let me just find my friend and make sure she’s all set, okay?” He say, leaning into the girl and she nods.
Harry searches for you. Come to think of it, he hadn’t seen Matt in a while either. He walks into the kitchen and stops short when he sees Y/N sitting up on the counter with her legs wrapped around Matt’s waist, and his tongue down her throat. He wants to say something, but he opts to just text her that he’s left with someone.
“She’s all set, let’s go.” He takes the girl by her hand and leads her out of the house.
She tells him where she lives and that her roommate was gone for the weekend so they wouldn’t be disturbed. She was a good shag, Harry was having fun, but just as he coming an image of Y/N’s legs wrapped around his own waist, instead of Matt’s popped into his head.
“Shit.” He groans and looks down at the girl underneath him. She smiles up at him and he smiles back.
He pulls out and throws the condom away. She frowns when he starts to get dressed.
“You don’t have to leave…”
“I know, usually I would spend the night, but…uh…I.” He sighs and looks at her. “Listen, I don’t really have a good excuse, I just wanna go sleep in my own bed, I’m sorry.” He leans in and kisses her forehead. “I had a lot of fun though.” He gives her a reassuring smile. “You have my number?”
“Yeah.”
“Text me anytime.” He winks, and leaves her there.
When Harry gets back to his empty room, he’s not entirely sure what it is about it that’s bothering him. Eventually he’s able to fall asleep, but he’s woken up a few hours later by the sounds of Y/N coming up the few steps to their room. She was carrying her shoes to not make much noise. She gently opens her dresser drawer to grab a large t-shirt and shorts. He looks away while she changes, not that he could really see her anyways with how dark the room was. He hears her get into bed, and the satisfied sigh she makes turns his stomach.
//
The light creeping in from the curtains punched Harry in the face. He sits up and see Y/N on her side facing him, scrolling on her phone. She looks up at him when she sees he’s awake.
“Morning.” She says quietly.
“Hey.” He stretches and gets up. Even though they’d been sharing a room for a while, she would never get used to seeing him in just a pair of boxers. “M’takin’ a shower.”
“Okay.” He stops short before going down the stairs.
“What time did you get home last night?”
“Um…like 3AM I think. I was surprised to see your shoes downstairs. I’m glad I caught them or I would’ve flipped the light on and barreled up here.” She laughs. “I thought you went home with someone.”
“I did.”
“Oh.”
“Didn’t feel like spendin’ the night.” She hums her response. “Did you hook up with Matt?”
“Yeah.” You blush. “Is that okay?”
“Yeah, why the fuck would I care?” He crosses his arms.
“I don’t know…I mean I figured you knew what my intention was since I asked you if he was single, but if you don’t want me hooking up with your friends, I don’t have to again.”
“So if I really had a problem with it, you wouldn’t fuck him again?”
“If you had a valid reason, sure. I mean…it was a nice hook up, but not the best I ever had. It’s not like I need to have his dick again.” Harry had never really hard Y/N talk like that before, it surprised him. “Oh god, don’t tell him I said that…”
“What wasn’t good about it?”
“I…what?”
“Well, if it wasn’t the best you ever had, what wasn’t good about it? Come on, you can tell me?” He leans back against the wall.
“I didn’t get off.” She says bluntly.
“Oh.”
“And I had to fake it so we could be done.” Her cheeks grew redder.
“You sounded pretty satisfied when you got back…”
“I sighed with relief because I was exhausted and was finally in my comfy bed.”
“So you faked it.”
“Mhm.”
“Why not just tell him he was doin’ it wrong.”
“He was so drunk, Harry, I don’t think it would’ve made a difference. He passed out after, and I slipped out the door.”
“Wait, you walked back by yourself?” He frowns.
“Yeah.”
“If that happens again, just call me, okay? I don’t like that.”
“But you were with someone.”
“So? I’m always there for my friends, come on Y/N. What if somethin’ bad happened?”
“Okay, okay, I won’t walk alone again.”
“Good.”
“Go shower so I can shower, will you?”
“We could just save water and shower together.” He jokes, and she whips her pillow at him. “Oi!” He picks it up and whips it back at her, making her laugh.
//
Harry came home with paint all over his hands, and was scrubbing them profusely when Y/N came in through the door.
“Thank god it’s Friday, I’m beat.” You sigh and flop onto the couch.
“Me too, I think I’m gonna stay in tonight.”
“Oh?” She was shocked.
“Mhm.” He sits down next to her. “Might play some video games or somethin’. What about you, do you have plans?”
“As of right now, no. But who knows, my friends my text and say something’s happening.” She shrugs.
“We could hang out if you wanted.”
“What would you wanna do?”
“We could watch a movie.”
“Sure! That sounds nice actually. We should see if Liv and Chris wanna join. I feel like we never all hang out.”
Harry was annoyed, but not visibly. He really hated hanging out with couples.
//
That night the four get cozy on the couch for a movie. Chris made everyone drinks, and Y/N popped some popcorn. The girls sit in the middle of the couch while the boys take the end seats. Not that that mattered, because eventually Chris pulled Liv into his lap, and they got comfortable together. The wine Y/N had been drinking was making her sleepy, and her head dropped onto Harry’s shoulder, not that he minded.
She wakes up to the feeling of being carried up to their room.
“Harry?” He sets her down on her bed.
“Yeh fell asleep.” He smooths her hair away from her face. “Brought yeh up.”
“Do you…never mind.”
“What?”
“I don’t know…it’s stupid, never mind.”
“Y/N, would you just tell me what you want?”
“Well…sometimes I get a little jealous that Chris and Liv can just cuddle, and I didn’t know if you’d wanna have a platonic cuddle with me for a bit.”
“A platonic cuddle?”
“Yeah, but only if you want.”
“What does that entail exactly?”
“Well, you could lay next to me and I could just rest my head on your chest. No spooning unless I’m the big spoon.”
“Why’s that?” He chuckles. “Not that I don’t like being the little spoon.”
“I wouldn’t wanna give you a boner if I was little spoon.”
“Ah, right, because I have zero zelf control.”
“Do you wanna cuddle or not?”
“Yeah, alright.”
He climbs onto her bed and lays flat on his back so she can rest her head on his chest, just like she wanted. He puts an arm around her and rests his hand on her shoulder. What Y/N didn’t know was that Harry had gotten a booty call text, and was supposed to be out the door, but this was something that Harry just couldn’t say no to, so he texts the girl and apologizes, and tells her he’ll be over another time. He feels her nuzzle into his chest further. Harry realizes he very much likes the attention he’s getting from wine-drunk Y/N.
They both asleep like that, cuddled together on Y/N’s bed. Her eyes fluttered open, at first she was confused when she saw Harry, but then she remembered she asked him to cuddle with her. She didn’t remember getting so comfy she had fallen asleep. Both of his arms were around her, and she had a leg over one of his. His lips were parted and light snores were coming from him. Y/N desperately needed to pee, but she also didn’t want to disturb him. She notices his phone lighting up with texts, and her curiosity got the better of her. After all, it could’ve been an emergency.
Lindsay – Matt’s Party: are you serious?   12:04AM
Lindsay – Matt’s Party: you’re rly not coming over? 12:07AM
Lindsay – Matt’s Party: this is the 3rd time you’ve done this, H. I’m done. 12:15AM
Y/N sets his phone back down, and looks back up at him with a raised eyebrow.
He blew off some girl for me? She thinks to herself. He could’ve gone…maybe he didn’t really like her that much.
Harry’s eyebrows furrow and his eyes slowly open. He has the same slight confusion Y/N did, but then he relaxes when he remembers he voluntarily slept next to her.
“Hey.” He mumbles in a sleepy voice, one she had gotten quite used to and liked a lot.
“Hi.” The air suddenly felt awkward. “I need to pee.”
“Okay.”
“I didn’t wanna wake you up.”
“Okay.”
“So, I’ll just…”
She sits up slightly, and ends up straddling him to try to climb over him. Her head suddenly started hurting and she almost fell off. Harry grabs her by her hips to steady her.
“You’re like really clumsy.” He says to her.
“I’m aware.” She looks down at his hands. “I still need to pee, can you let go of me.”
His cheeks heat up and he lets go of her so she can continue trying to get off her bed. Harry was still tired, and he could easily go slip into his bed, but he liked Y/N’s bed, for whatever reason. So he rolls onto his side and checks his phone.
“Fuck.” He says when he sees the texts from Lindsay. He thinks to text her back and apologize, but he didn’t want to lead her on anymore because odds are he’d stand her up again. ]
Y/N comes back up a few minutes later, feeling much better after having used the toilet and brushed her teeth. She chuckles when she sees Harry still on her bed.
“What are you doing?”
“M’not awake enough to move yet.” He mumbles as she grabs some clothes from her dresser.
“Well, I have some homework I need to get done, so I’m gonna shower and then go to the library.”
“I’ll be at the studio most of the day, and then I’ll probably go to Matt’s tonight…”
“Okay.”
He watches her go back down the stairs and he sits up. The two had gotten into the habit of giving each other a play by play of their plans. Harry figured it was just common courtesy as a roommate, but maybe it was a little bit more. It was like they were an old married couple who slept on two different beds. Harry changes into some new clothes quick and goes downstairs. Chris was eating some breakfast as he grabs a Gatorade from the fridge.
“Mornin’, mate.” Harry says, taking a sip of his drink.
“Morning, thought you went out last night?”
“Nope, I stayed in with Y/N instead.” He shrugs. “I feel kinda bad, the girl was pissed…but I think it was for the best.”
//
Things were a tad awkward between Harry and Matt since Y/N slept with Matt and never really followed up.
“Did she ever say anything to you?”
“No.” Harry lies. “You hook up with girls all the time, why are you hung up on her?”
“I don’t know, she was a good fuck, I’d like to hit it again.” Harry rolls his eyes as bites down on his cup. “You haven’t brought her here since.”
“She hasn’t seemed interested.” Harry shrugs and turns to see Lindsay talking to her friends. They make eye contact and she flips him off. “Jesus.” He walks over to her. “Can we talk?”
“Why? Because you suddenly have the time?” She huffs.
“Please?”
“Fine.” They step aside from her friends.
“You know, you act like I didn’t even tell you I couldn’t come over…”
“One second you’re saying see you ten, and the next you’re saying not tonight. So what happened? Get a better offer?”
Yes.
“No, it wasn’t that…my roommate needed me…”
“Right, the girl you conveniently share a room with.” She crosses her arms.
“It’s only like that because our friends are dating.”
“What did she need from you then, Harry? Your dick?”
“No!” He groans. “It’s not like that with us, we’re just friends.”
“So then what did she need?”
“She got a little wine drunk, and she seemed like she needed me to stay, so I did. She didn’t know I had other plans when she asked me to hang out a little longer…” Not a total lie, not a total truth. “I really did wanna see you.” He puts his hand on her shoulder.
“I hate how crazy you boys make me, I swear. It’s not like you’re the only person I’m hooking up with…”
“Yeah, same goes for me.”
“I just thought we had a regular thing going, and that was like the third time you blew me off. If you don’t wanna-“ Harry cuts her off by kissing her.
“Let’s get outta here.”
She nods and takes his hand. They walk back to her place, and start to get busy. He was just about to go down on her when his phone rings. He pops his head up to grab it.
“You can’t be serious.”
“It could be an emergency.” He sits up and squints to see it’s Y/N. “Hello?” He starts fingering Lindsay while he’s on the phone with her.
“Harry?” She slurs.
“What’s up?” He rubs Lindsay’s clit and her head rolls back into the pillow.
“I’m sorry to bother you, but.” She hiccups. “Liv and Chris left, or maybe I just can’t find them, anyways, I wanna go home, and you told me to-“
“Where are you?”
“On Russell actually…uhhhhh, 19D I think.”
“Okay, I can be there in like ten minutes, can you hang tight?”
“Mhm. I’ll sit out on the steps for you.”
“Okay.” He hangs up and tosses his phone. “What?”
“You’re a nutbag.”
“Do you want me to fuck you or not? Yeh get me for ten minutes, how do you want it?”
//
Y/N was sitting on the front steps of the house she was at, waiting for Harry. She was slightly cold from the crisp fall air.
Harry: be there soon :) 1:30AM
She sighs with relief when she gets his text. She sees him walking up the drive and stands up and walks towards him.
“I’m so sorry if I ruined your night.” She stumbles as she walks over to him.
“You didn’t, I’m glad you called.” He hooks his arm around her waist to steady her.
“You smell like perfume.”
“I just hooked with someone, sorry.”
“You what?!” She starts laughing.
“I was in the middle of it when you called, actually.” He starts laughing. “She wasn’t too happy, but I made up for it. Although I deleted her number after I left, it was sort of a parting gift.”
“Sometimes I forget you can be just like every other guy.” She scoffs.
“Hey, I told her it was the last time before I left. She said it was probably for the best anyways.”
“Oh, well as long as she knows.”
“I thought you didn’t really go to parties like this often.”
“I don’t…but Chris got invited out so he brought me and Liv with him, and we all drank a lot. I don’t know how I lost them. I texted them both and told them you were coming for me.” She looks down at the heels on her feet. “I have to take these off, they hurt.”
“It’s too cold to walk barefoot. Lemme give you a piggyback ride.”
“Really?!”
“Sure.” He shrugs.
Y/N gets on his back, and he carries her the rest of the way home. When he gets her inside they see Chris and Liv on the couch.
“There you two are?!” Y/N yells as Harry sets her down. “Where the fuck did you two go?”
“Liv got sick at the party, so I brought her home, we’re so sorry Y/N.” Chris says standing up.
“Yeah, Y/N…this is the first time in over an hour I haven’t had my head in the toilet. Chris cleaned it up so it’s all good.”
“Well I’m sorry you got sick.” She starts unbuttoning her pants and scurries to the bathroom. “I have to pee so bad!”
“Thanks for getting her.” Chris rubs the back of his neck.
“It was no problem. I told her I didn’t want her walkin’ alone and to call me if she was in a place where that might happen.”
Y/N comes out of the bathroom and looks at everyone.
“Feel like I’m gonna pass out so I’m going to bed.”
“I’m gonna take a quick shower, I’ll be up soon.”
“Okay.”
“You two sound like us.” Liv jokes.
“M’just bein’ courteous.” Harry points out and goes to take his shower. He didn’t wanna smell like Lindsay anymore.
When he gets upstairs, only in his towel, he see Y/N sitting up in bed wearing just a large t-shirt and panties. Harry walks by her quick and hope to god his face isn’t red.
“Harry?”
“Yeah?” He turns to look at her.
“Would you come cuddle again?”
“Course. Now turn around so I can change.”
She playfully covers her eyes and he shakes his head as slides his boxers on.
“This is all I’m wearin’, hope that’s okay.”
“S’fine with me.” She yawns, and he turns off the light.
“Scootch over.” Instead she just rolls onto her side, facing the wall. “Thought you said no spooning.”
“Thought you said you had self-control.”
“I do…” He looks down and sees the t-shirt was now bunched around her hips and he could see the lovely curve of her ass in her cheeky panties. “Just don’t wiggle against me like a brat.”
“I’m never a brat.”
“Mhm.” He mumbles sarcastically as he settles in. He slips a leg between hers, and wraps an arm around her stomach. She adjust against him, just to get comfier, and they both settle.
“Goodnight, Harry.” She yawns.
“Night.” He liked the smell of her perfume much better.
//
“What the hell happened up here?” Liv cackles the next morning, well, more like afternoon, it was already noon. Harry and Y/N wake up and groan. Harry was still spooning her.
“Liv…no offense, but this isn’t your room anymore.” Y/N groans as she rubs the sleep from her eyes.
“I just came up to grab my sweatshirt that I let you borrow a couple days ago, but I can see I walked in on something. How long has this been going on for?”
“How long has what been goin’ on for? We’re just sleepin’.”
“Harry you don’t have any clothes on!”
“Not true! I’m wearin’ boxers.”
“What’s wrong with your bed?”
“I asked him to sleep with me, just sleep, well cuddle really.” Y/N speaks up. “It’s platonic.”
“Yeah, not all of us have a boyfriend to go to sleep with every night, Liv.”
“Well, pardon me.” She scoffs and grabs her sweatshirt. “You know it wouldn’t be a big deal if you two hooked up. I think it would make sense, and-“
“Goodbye, Liv, have a nice lunch with Chris’ parents.” Y/N says. “Hope you’re feeling better.”
“Much…and I’ll tell them you say hi.”
“Thanks.”
They watch as she goes back down the stairs, and then look at each other.
“Wanna grab brunch downtown?” Harry asks.
“God, that sounds amazing. Just let me jump in the shower quick?”
“Go for it.”
Harry waits for her to leave before getting out of bed. He removes the blanket and looks down at his morning wood. He was sort of glad Liv woke them up so Y/N didn’t have time to notice it poking her. Or maybe she did and just didn’t say anything or care. Either way he wasn’t going to say anything.
He gets dressed quick and waits for her in the living area. Once she’s ready they walk downtown to the diner, and get a booth for two. They both order coffee and water.
“Wanna split some hashbrowns?” She asks, looking at the menu. “I might get a veggie omelet.”
“Yeah, we could do that. That sounds good too, I think I’ll get the same.” He chuckles.
They both give their orders to the waitress.
“I hope Liv didn’t bother you, you can sleep in my bed any time you want. I kinda like having your wait on me.” She blushes.
“You mean your three weighted blankets aren’t enough for you?” He laughs.
“I do not have three…I have two, and no, they’re not.” She crosses her arms. “I don’t really think it’s that weird.”
“It’s only happened twice too…” He takes a sip of his coffee. “Your bed is way comfier than mine, so I think I’ll be taking you up on that more often than not.”
“Works for me.” She smiles. “I’m really glad we’ve gotten so close, Harry.” She puts her hand over his and it gives him goosebumps. “You’re like my best guy friend.” A punch right to his gut.
“I’m glad we’ve gotten closer too.”
//
It didn’t happen every night, but Harry and Y/N had gotten into a habit of cuddling and falling asleep together pretty often. There was just something soothing about it for the both of them.
“What the fuck happened up here?” Harry says coming home late from the studio one Thursday night.
“I’m so sorry, I have like two midterms tomorrow and I’m trying to study for both of them and I’m freaking out!”
Y/N had papers and books all over the place. Her laptop was open and she had music playing.
“How long have you been studying for?”
“Hours.” She groans.
“Well, maybe you need a break.”
“I can’t take a break! What if I don’t…what are you doing?!”
He was in the middle of taking his clothes off.
“Hi, I’m Harry, and I tend to get paint all over me, so it required me to change quite frequently. What’s your name?”
“Your sarcasm isn’t helpful. You’re supposed to tell me to turn around.” She pouts.
“Y/N.” He sighs. “You’ve seen me in next to nothing, and to be honest, I don’t really care if you look.”
“You don’t?”
“No.” He throws on a fresh shirt and some sweatpants. He sits down on the floor in front of her. “Look all you want.” He shrugs and picks up her flashcards.
“What are you doing?”
“M’gonna help you study.”
“You don’t have to. I’m sure there are better things you could be doing with your Thursday night.”
“Like what?”
“I don’t know, don’t you have some girl you need to go fuck?” Harry’s jaw drops. “I’m so sorry, that sounded meaner than it was supposed to. I didn’t mean-“
“But you still said it.” He shakes his head at her. “Is that what you think of me? Some guy that just fucks a ton of girls.”
“Well, to be fair, you do fuck a lot of girls, Harry.”
“A lot of guys do.” He huffs, and then he smirks at you. “You know what your problem is?”
“What’s my problem?”
“You don’t get fucked enough, no scratch that, you don’t get off enough. That’s why you’re so stressed. You get A’s all the time, you know this shit. You’re just tense because you can’t get there, and you share a room with a dude so it’s not like you’re gettin’ yourself there, unless you’re doin’ it in the shower.”
“Would you listen to yourself?” She laughs. “Can you please quiz me?”
“Thought I had better things to do?” He grins.
“Harry.” She sighs.
“Okay, okay.” He squints at the flashcard. “What is Andre Bazin’s main film theory?”
“Realism.”
“Correct, see, you know this.”
“That’s an easy one!”
“I still think you’re just wound up.”
“Would you like to do something about it?” She scoffs.
“I would, actually.” He puts the cards down.
“What? I was kidding, Harry.”
“Well…I’m not.” He sighs.
“You…wait, I’m very confused.”
“To be blunt, I’d like to have sex with you.” Her eyes grow wide and her cheeks flush. “But…I don’t wanna do anything that might ruin-“
“Go down and lock our door.” He’s stunned.
“Wait, really?”
“Do it before I change my mind.” She whispers.
Harry stands up and quietly goes down to lock their door. When he comes back up he sees Y/N bent over cleaning everything up off the floor. She puts everything on her desk, and turns her twinkling lights on. Then she turns the main light off, creating more of an atmosphere.
“You really wanna do this?” Harry asks.
“You’re like the hottest guy I’ve ever met, of course I want to…I just didn’t think you wanted to. You treat me like your little sister or something sometimes.”
“I…wouldn’t call the way we sleep the way I would sleep next to my sister.”
“You really do like grind right into me.”
“So you have noticed that.”
“Of course I have…I just figured it was something all guys did in the morning so I never said anything.”
“You’re on the pill?” He asks, stepping closing to her.
“Yes.”
“Do you want me to use a condom?”
“Yes.”
He nods and goes into his desk drawer to grab a couple, he sets them down.
“Let’s do it on my bed, it’ll make less noise, yours will rock too much since it’s up higher.” She nods and goes over to his bed and sits down. He sits down next to her. “You’re positive?”
“Yes.”
He caresses her cheek.
“You’re shaking.” He says softly.
“I’m nervous.”
“Why? S’just me.”
“That’s exactly why I’m nervous. You’ve always made me nervous, Harry. I’ve just been good at hiding it.”
“Why didn’t you ever tell me?”
“Because we have a really good, chill thing going here. And I like being your friend.”
“This doesn’t have to ruin anything…” He cups both of her cheeks with his hands. “Let me make you feel good, Y/N.”
“Okay.”
He pulls her in and crashes her lips to his. Her eyes flutter closed as he swipes his tongue across her bottom lip, and she opens up for him. He tasted just like the mint gum he chewed constantly. She was making out with the guy every girl wanted. Y/N knew about Harry’s reputation, but she also knew a different side of him. She knew the side of him that liked his head scratched to help him fall asleep, and the way he really did just want a banana and nothing more for breakfast, and the way his hands always smelled like paint no matter how many times he scrubbed them.
He pulls back from her to get some air, or so she things, but his lips connect with her jaw and then to just under her earlobe. She gasps when she feels him suck on her skin, but she loves it. She wasn’t sure what to do with herself, so she just grips at his shoulders, while his hands roam down to her hips.
In a swift motion, he sits back on the bed, and pulls her onto his lap so she’s straddling him. She rolls her hips down on his while they’re lips find each other again. He groans against her bites down on her bottom lip. He hands tug at the hem of her shirt.
“Can I take this off?” He says, panting.
“Yes.”
He lifts it up over her head, revealing a sports bra that was really pushing her boobs up. He pulls her close and kisses on the tops of her breasts while she continues to grind down on him. She was starting to feel how hard he was and it was making her wet.
“Just take it off.” She says.
He nods and lifts the bra off her. He moves to take his own shirt off as well before cupping her breasts in his large hands. He tweaks her nipples, making her head roll back.
“I’ve wanted to see you like this for a long time, Y/N.” He says as he wraps his lips around her, sucking one of her breasts into his mouth, and letting it go with a pop.
“You have?” She gasps as he does the same thing to other one.
“You have no idea.”
He pulls her close so they’re chests are flush and they go back to kissing. His hands slide down to the globes of her ass and he gives her a good squeeze. He shifts them to lay her down, and she wraps her legs around his waist, just like how he’s wanted for a while. He kisses down her neck, chest, stomach, and then hooks his fingers into her leggings.
“You’re sure?”
“Please, just get them off. Get my underwear off, just take everything off of me.”
He smirks and does everything she says. She was full exposed to him and it was a glorious sight to see. Every curve, every dip, every mark on her was beautiful. He kisses her left knee and works his way to her inner thigh. He looks up at her one more time and he gives him an approving nod. She grips the blankets when she feels his tongue on her. Her hips buck up towards him, but he uses his arm to press down on her waist. He gives her a few slow licks at first, and then flicks his tongue back and forth on her clit. She moans softly, and then grits her teeth when he sucks on her. Her hands fly to his hair when she feels a finger slip inside. He looks up at her again and she just nods yes.
His mouth works her clit while he pumps in and out of her, knuckles deep, curling his fingers up. She gasps and groans, desperately trying to stay quiet so Liv and Chris don’t hear anything. Y/N’s legs were shaking around Harry, and he loved it. Her back was arching, he could tell she was close from the way she clenching around his fingers.
“Oh, shit!” She gasps and claps a hand over her mouth.
Harry waits for her to finish riding for him to pull his fingers out. She watches as he sucks them into his mouth, and hers falls open. She blinks tears away.
“Are you crying?” He runs a thumb under one of her eyes.
“I just…um…that was intense is all.”
“Do you wanna keep going?”
“Yes.” She props herself up on her elbows. “Do you want me to, uh, return the favor?”
“Maybe another time.” He stands up and pulls his joggers down. “I really just wanna fuck you, if that’s alright.”
“Mhm.” She smiles. Wow, we haven’t even finished yet and he’s already talking about another time. She thinks to herself.
She watches as Harry slowly takes his boxers off. Her eyes grow wide when she see it. It was big, and thick. Suddenly her mouth felt dry. He grabs a condom from his desk and rolls it on with ease. He gets back on the bed, between her legs.
“Y/N?”
“Yeah?”
“You’re certain?”
“Yes, Harry, I want you.”
He smiles and kisses her quick. He looks down so he can line himself up with her dripping center. He slowly presses his tip in, and she can already feel him stretching her out. He accidentally slides in a little fast, though.
“Holy shit!” She moans loudly, and he presses his hand over her mouth. Her eyes were wild looking up at him.
“I know, okay, I know, but if you wanna do this you need to stay fucking quiet. I don’t want them to hear. Can you do that f’me, Y/N?” She nods her head yes, and he takes his hand away. “I didn’t mean to just shove it in like that, m’sorry.”
“S’okay, it felt good.” She giggles. He looks down between them.
“S’really snug…you’re so tight.” His words make her clench around him. “Can I move?”
“Please.”
Harry pulls out slightly and thrusts back in, and eventually he found a pace that suited the both of them. He buries his head in the crook of her neck, and hooks his arm under one of her legs, while her other leg was wrapped around his waist. Her nails were digging into his back, and it all just felt so fucking good. Her face was hidden in her shoulder to keep her moans and cries muffled.
“Takin’ it so well, Y/N.” He peppers kisses to her sweaty forehead. He drops her leg and uses both of his arms to prop himself up so he could really give it to her. The bed was shaking, but it wasn’t making much noise. “How’s it feel?”
“So good, so fucking good.”
“Yeah? Like havin’ me in you like this?”
“Yes!” She gasps as he hits her g-spot. “Oh my god.” She says shocked and then looks up at him. “Do…do that again.” He gives her another thrust right on the spot and her eyes roll into the back of her head.
“You’ve never come vaginally before, have you?” He grins.
“No.”
“Oh, baby…hold on tight.”
She grips his shoulders while he hits the spot over and over. Her teeth were clenched, trying so very hard not to make much noise, but when he hits it just right again, she lets go and cries out. Harry crashes his mouth to hers to swallow it best he can. She was writhing beneath him, having never had orgasm so strong before. Harry can’t last much longer after that, and spills into the condom. He collapses on top of her for a moment or two, just trying to catch his breath. He slowly pulls out of her and she winces.
“Sorry.” He whispers. “You…might be a little sore.”
“A little?” She scoffs. “I can’t believe you fit that whole thing inside of me.” She sits up and grabs her shirt. When she stands her legs feel like jello.
“Where are you goin’?”
“I have to pee, you went down on me, I’m not gonna risk getting a UTI. Just get into my bed, I’ll be back in a second.” He smiles and nods. He was happy she wanted to cuddle.
It stung when she went to the bathroom like she figured it would. She was thankful Liv and Chris didn’t seem to be awake. She fills a glass of water and brings it up with her. She takes a sip and hands it to Harry as she climbs into bed. He takes generous sip and hands it back to her to finish. He puts it on her desk when she’s done. They both sink down and she lays her head on his chest.
“How do you feel?” He asks, breaking the silence.
“Good, how do you feel?”
“Good…didn’t realize there was that much tension between us.” He chuckles.
“Harry, I don’t wanna be one of those girls, but what’s supposed to happen next…”
“We’re gonna cuddle and go to sleep like we usually do. Then tomorrow you’re gonna ace your midterms.”
“And after that?” She looks up at him, and he looks down at her.
“I think I only wanna be a one woman kinda guy…” She smiles up at him. “Would you wanna try going out on a date?”
“There’s a free skate happening down at the ice arena on Saturday night…any interest?”
“No interest in doin’ anything tomorrow?”
“Someone’s a bit eager.” She smirks.
“Alright, ice skating actually sounds good for Saturday. I have a couple of midterms tomorrow too that are gonna take a lot outa me.”
“How about pizza and a movie tomorrow night then?”
“Oh, I like the sound of that.” He kisses her hair line. “What should we do about Chris and Liv?”
“Let’s see how a couple of dates go before we tell them anything.”
“Good idea, although, I’m sure they probably heard you.”
“I wasn’t that loud, and it wasn’t my fault if I was.” She swats at his chest.
“True.” He looks over at his bed. “This could work really well. Use my bed for the fucking, and then we have your nice comfy bed for sleepin’.”
“Yeah, and then there’s no gross wet spot to worry about.” She giggles, and he bursts out laughing.
“I didn’t hurt you or anything did?”
“No, not at all. It felt really good the whole time, I promise. It hurt when I went to the bathroom though.”
“M’sorry.” He sighs. “You were so tight, I didn’t really know how to be any gentler than I was.”
“It’s okay, really. You took really good care of me. I feel way more relaxed now. I think you were right about me just needing to de-stress before my exams.”
//
The two end up falling asleep, and it’s a miracle Y/N hears her alarm go off the next morning. Harry knew Chris and Liv would be gone already since they both have 8AM’s, so he gets up with Y/N to take a shower. They didn’t do anything sexual, but it certainly was an intimate shower. She thought about him all day, everything from last night replaying over and over in her mind. It was a wonder she could concentrate during her exams.
She orders the pizza when she gets in later and sets up the movie. She bumps into Liv after freshening up upstairs.
“Hey, haven’t see you all day. How’d your midterms go?” Liv asks, about to take a slice of pizza.
“That’s not for you!” Y/N yelps. “And they went fine, Harry, uh, helped me study last night.”
“Oh, good! And who’s it for?”
“It’s, um, for Harry, as a thank you for him staying in to help me last night.”
“Um, okay?”
“Sorry…in fact, I’m gonna go put it on his bed so no one touches it. What are you and Chris doing tonight?”
“We were gonna go to Charlotte’s place. Do you wanna come?”
“Nah, I’m exhausted, I’m gonna stay in, but thanks.”
Y/N: I’m bringing the pizza up to our room, I think we should watch the movie up here too…
Harry: are chris and liv home??
Y/N: for now, but I think they’re going out. I just don’t want them snooping
Harry: good call…I’ll be home soon btw, just finished one of my graphic design exams
Y/N: Yay!
Harry gets in, and goes right upstairs. He locks the door behind him. Y/N was sitting on his bed with her laptop and the box of pizza.
“Hey.” You smile.
“Hi.” He smiles back. “That still warm?”
“Mhm.”
“Think it’ll stay that way?” He asks, taking his shirt off.
“I guess we’ll find out.” She sets it on his desk, along with her laptop.
“Been thinkin’ about you all day.” He says, leaning down to kiss her. She lays back on the bed so he can get on top of her.
“Really?” He hums his response as he kisses on her neck. “I thought about you too.” He yanks her shirt up over her breasts and kisses on them. “Harry, I really wanna do this again, but I’m…too sore…” She sighs and he sits up. “But…maybe now I could return the favor.”
“Yeh wanna suck me off, baby?”
“Mhm.”
After one hell of a blowjob, Harry and Y/N cuddle up and crack open the pizza that was waiting to be eaten, and they start their movie.
“How do you think your exams went?” He asks.
“Good, I think I did really well. What about yours?”
“Piece of cake.” He scoffs. “Graphic design is so easy, I don’t know why Chris complains about it all the time.”
“He’s just not as creative as you are. I wish you’d hang more of your paintings up…”
“Really? I have some down at the studio I could bring home.”
“Please! I’d love it, and I’m not just saying that, I think you’re genuinely talented.”
“Thanks.” He kisses her temple.
“I have to say, I was nervous having a guy I barley know as a roommate this year, but it’s worked out way better than I ever could’ve imagined.” They both giggle.
“Mm, I’m sure your parents will be thrilled when they found out their fears came true.”
“God, I can’t even think about that.” She takes a bite of pizza. “I was gonna ask you to come home for Thanksgiving before all this happened, but now maybe that wouldn’t be such a great idea.”
“You were?” He gives her a thoughtful smile.
“Yeah…I didn’t know what you normally did.”
“I usually stay here and eat shitty food at the dining hall. I’d come home with you.”
“You would?”
“Sure.” He shrugs. “We’re tryin’ somethin’ new between us, but at the core we’re still friends right?”
“Yeah.”
“So then I’d love to come home with you for Thanksgiving either way, and I think it’s very nice of you to think of me.” He takes a bite of pizza. “Plus, then I can see if your family likes me at all.”
“Good point.” She puts the pizza box on the desk and nestles in closer to him. She looks up at him and puckers her lips. He happily gives her a kiss. “I like you, Harry.”
“I like you too.”

An interview during self-isolation with Zane Lowe (Harry Styles x fem!Reader)
Tumblr media
Word Count: 2.2k
Author’s Note: I’ve gotten a ton of asks to the tune of this scenario - about what a quarantine video with Harry and his family would look like. I put as many of them together as I could for you all! Hope you enjoy and it’s not too confusing, as this isn’t my typical writing style, but I tried my best to make it worth your while! Take care and TPWK.
“Harry, can ye’ hear me alright?” Harry heard Zane Lowe’s voice fill his right ear as he readjusted his headphones.
“Yeah, I can hear ya,” he responded, running his fingers through his hair once everything was situated and his laptop was balanced perfectly on his knee.
“I’ve just been video calling and chatting it up with everyone on how they’re navigating the pandemic, so I’m very thankful you’ve agreed to join in.”
“‘S no problem. Thank you f’ having me.”
“Oh!” Zane interjected his own strain of thought, “I see you’ve brought a special guest for us today,” he said when Harry’s screen finally focused and he was able to see everything on Harry’s end.
Harry chuckled, the dimples on either corner of his mouth growing wider at the mention of the sleeping body on his chest that’s got a fuzzy blanket tucked into their sides and draped over Harry’s upper half.
“I have,” Harry agreed, “Though he’s not gonna be worth much. Being a two-year-old is exhausting apparently.”
He gave the toddler a few gentle pats on the back and continued to look at Zane through the webcam.
“This is your son, right?” Zane asked.
“Who? Him?” Harry asked, nodding his head in the direction of his child, “Nah. Found him on the street.”
Both men laughed, but Harry tried to lower his volume as to not wake up his son.
“Well, he looks an awful bit like you t’ be a stray, don’t ye’ think?”
“I suppose the curls are quite convincing, aren’t they?” Harry sighed, playfully rolling his eyes.
“What’s brought your bubs along with you for this interview?”
“Erm,” Harry thought, wondering if he should be talking this much about his personal life but ultimately deciding it wasn’t too invasive, “Y/N’s been pretty tired lately, so I’m just trying to keep him out of her hair so she can rest. He’s going through a phase where he’s very clingy right now so he’d probably be crying f’ me at some point if I left him in his room.”
“Oh, that’s right!” it suddenly dawned on Zane, “You two are expecting again, aren’t you?
“We are,” Harry smiled softly yet proudly into the screen, “‘s kinda scary for us right now, but we’re hoping everything is cleared up before it’s time.”
“Yeah, yeah. I was just about to say right now’s probably not the greatest time to be havin’ a baby.”
“Well, the baby’s not due for a few more months so I think everything’ll be alright, but it’s still just kinda nerve-wracking ye’ know?”
“Absolutely,” Zane added, “This has all got t’ be tough on your guys; having to self-isolate with a toddler plus having one on the way.”
“Ehh, it’s not so bad,” Harry countered, rubbing his eyes with his knuckles as he spoke. “We’ve been spending a lot of time t’gether, which is pretty great. I just got done with all of the album promo, so I’d already been gone for a while. Plus, I was about to leave for tour for like a month so we were kinda sad about having to say goodbye before, but now I don’t have to. We talk to our families a lot and keep in touch with everyone pretty regularly so we don’t feel like we’re going too crazy.”
“Good! That’s good.”
Harry nodded in agreement.
“I was going to ask you about tour actually. You’ve pushed the European leg of your Love on Tour to next year, is that correct?”
“Correct.”
“That must be hard for you, I’m sure. I bet you were so ready to get back on the road and to have it all pulled out from under ye’ was probably not the greatest feeling.”
“I mean, it’s obviously disappointing, but like, in the grand scheme of things, it’s not the most important thing in the world. But I think everyone kinda understands that there’s not anything you can do about it and ye’ have to do what you can to keep everyone safe, ya know?”
“For sure,” Zane nodded, readjusting the hat on his head.
“Plus, it gives you time to practice doesn’t it?”
Harry’s belly shook as he laughed softly.
“Definitely gives us plenty of time to be prepar-”
Harry stopped in his tracks and looked down at his son who was still napping away, lifting his hand up from where it had been rested on his tiny bum.
“Everything alright?” Zane asked Harry after he was still quiet for a few seconds and his eyes were as wide as saucers.
“Uhh, yeah,” Harry stuttered as a noticeable heat climbed to his cheeks, “Think m’ son’s just farted on me in his sleep.”
This made Zane laugh even harder than he had before, clutching his chest while Harry remained embarrassed that his son had just passed gas on him during his first interview.
The commotion seemed to stir Harry’s son from his sleep. His pudgy legs began to stretch against Harry’s chest and his balled-up fists reached up to rub at his closed eyes. Harry seemed to sense some trepidation, like his son was going to start fussing at any given moment, so he quickly began bouncing his small body against his knee to soothe him and shushed him quietly in his ear. Zane didn’t draw much attention to it, but he couldn’t help but swoon over how easily Harry’s son settled back down.
Harry whispered, “’s alright, bubby. You’re alright,” before kissing the top of his curls gently, no doubt making the viewers lose their minds at home with how gentle he was being towards his boy.
“So your boy farts himself awake, huh?” Zane joked.
“Wouldn’t be the first time. He’s an absolute mess,” Harry added.
“Does he take after you or Y/N?”
Clearly, neither of them were interested in talking about music or tour anymore. Harry’s son had stolen the show, and he wasn’t even conscious.
“A little bit of both I’d say. He’s extremely kind and caring like Y/N, but loves to mess around like me. Can’t really say he got any of Y/N’s looks, though.”
“Absolutely not,” Zane chuckled into his mic, “That one’s all you.”
Harry laughed again, rubbing the tip of his nose with the palm of his hand out of habit.
“Is he excited to be a big brother?”
“Ehh, I think he kinda gets the idea, but not really,” Harry tilted his hand back and forth to symbolize the fact that his toddler could just barely come to grips with there being another baby in his mum’s belly.
“He knows there’s ‘something in mummy’s tummy,’“ Harry noted using air quotes, “And he like, gives Y/N’s stomach kisses all of the time because we tell him to and he sees me do it, but I don’t really think he’s come to grips with it.”
“Well, that makes sense,” Zane responded, “He’s only two.”
“Right, right,” Harry agreed, “But he’s, like, super cuddly and loves his stuffed animals and stuff, so I don’t think he’s gonna have a hard time at all really.”
Just when Zane was going to try to get back on topic with his prepared list of questions he had written up for Harry that didn’t involve his son, there was a commotion on Harry’s end that occurred somewhere beyond the view of the camera.
It was the sound of a door shutting a feet padding against hardwood steps.
“Harry!” a voice called out.
“Have you seen my laptop charger? I’m trying to FaceTime Gem- Oh,” the voice stopped.
“Sorry, baby,” Harry spoke above the laptop screen to whoever had just walked into the room, “Couldn’t find mine and I had t’ talk t’ Zane.”
“Which Zane?”
“Is that Y/N I hear?” Zane asked Harry.
Harry laughed at his wife’s words, quickly specifying that it was Zane Lowe and not his former bandmate.
“Yes, it is Y/N. She’s awoken from her beauty sleep it appears.”
The camera wasn’t able to pick up the way Y/N rolled her eyes at Harry.
“Gimme one of those,” Y/N demanded, holding her hand out for the other earbud that Harry wasn’t wearing so she could join in on his conversation with Zane.
Harry swung the free earbud around his chest with his free hand as to not disturb their son, smiling smugly at his wife while she settled onto the sofa next to him and cuddled into his side.
“Hello, gorgeous,” Zane greeted her.
“Hello, handsome,” Y/N responded, “How come you never call to talk to me anymore? Why do you only care about this nobhead?”
She playfully shoved Harry’s shoulder, but not hard enough to actually knock him sideways.
“He does have the number one album in the country right now. Kinda makes sense to check in on him now, dunnit?”
“And I’m his baby mama, so where’s my praise for carrying his little spawns?”
“You truly are a saint for tha’ one. I won’t lie.”
Harry feigned offense but failed to hide the smile that tugged on the corners of his lips.
“I’m sitting right here!” he scoffed.
“We know, love,” Y/N cooed him as she looked over at him and brushed his curls that had fallen onto his forehead back into his mess of hair.
“How are you doing, though, Y/N? We talked a bit about you while you were away. Harry said you’re strugglin’ a bit?”
“Umm, I mean, it’s just normal pregnancy stuff,” she dismissed his qualms as she absentmindedly stroked her protruding belly that was just barely in the frame, “I’m at the point where everything hurts all of the time and everything Harry does annoys the piss out of me, but other than that I’m pretty much normal.”
“Goodness. He didn’t tell me that part,” Zane chuckled, “Please elaborate.”
“Okay, well first of all-,” Y/N started.
“Why are you acting like you were just waiting f’ someone to ask you that question?” Harry forced through laughter.
“Because I’ve got a lot to say!” she exclaimed.
“You don’t pick up your dirty clothes, you leave your tea mugs all around the house, and you and your son eat all of my bread!”
“I do not eat all of the bread!” Harry started to playfully argue with his wife.
“I caught you sneaking into the pantry at midnight eating bread right out of the bag, Harold.”
“Well, what were you doin’ awake in the kitchen at midnight anyway, hmm?”
“I’m pregnant. I’m allowed to be hungry every twenty minutes. You’ve got no excuse.”
Harry sighed in defeat, meanwhile, Zane sat back and enjoyed listening to the two of them bickering like children.
“Sounds like the quarantine might getting t’ the both of you, huh?”
“Oh, no,” Y/N dismissed Zane, “We’re always like this.”
Just then, Harry felt the weight distribution on his chest shift, and saw a pair of emerald green eyes identical to his open and look back and forth between him and Y/N. His pudgy cheeks were flushed a warm, crimson color and the t-shirt he had taken a nap in was tugged over to the side from how well he had slept.
“Well, hello there, bubby. Nice of you t’ join us,” Harry spoke calmly to his son that was in the middle of waking up, gently brushing his fingers along the side of his face.
“Dear god. He looks just like you, Harry,” Zane said in disbelief.
This made Harry blush and hide his face in his son’s plush blanket, and Y/N looked lovingly down at her two boys.
“I know he does,” Harry confirmed, “Poor thing.”
Y/N rolled her eyes at Harry’s comment. As if that was meant to be an insult.
“Hung-y,” the three of them heard the toddler mumble.
“What’s that, lovie?” Y/N perked up.
“I hung-y” he repeated, his arms outstretched for his mother to which she happily accepted.
The boy crawled right over Harry towards Y/N, his foot sinking deep into Harry’s gut and making him grunt in reaction.
“You’re hungry?” Y/N asked, “You want some lunch, bubs?”
He nodded into Y/N’s shoulder where he had tucked himself away, clearly still in the mood to be loved on and cuddled.
“Well, let’s go make you something to eat then. What do you want? A banana?”
“Bread!” cheered the two-year-old, which earned a laugh from everyone in the room and an eye-roll from Y/N.
“Of course, you want bread. Wouldn’t expect anything less from your father’s child.”
“Why are you bullying me?” Harry fired back.
“Because you’re eating all of my damn bread!” Y/N yelled before scooping their son up from the couch and teetering out of frame into the kitchen.
“Alright,” started Zane, “Seems like it’s time for me to leave you three alone. Thanks for stopping in t’ chat.”
Harry chortled, readjusting his headphone one last time to sign off.
“Thanks again f’ havin’ me. Sorry my family crashed your interview.”
“It’s no bother at all, mate. ‘S actually quite refreshing seeing ye’ like this. I’m sure everyone watching would agree. Reminds us all that you’re human and not some robot with perfect hair and the voice of an angel.”
Harry hid his face in his hands, blushing for what felt like the thousandth time during this video call.
“I hope you lot continue to stay safe and healthy through all of this.”
“Thank you so much. You as well,” Harry added.
“Of course. Tell Y/N I’ll ring her up soon.”
“Will do,” Harry nodded, “If she doesn’t kill me f’ asking her t’ make me some toast first.”

Alternately imagine Loki messing up and turning the reader into a kid and being so conflicted bc ew kids but aw ur so nice and sweet
Hello, I’m not dead, and the Loki trailer has breathed new life into me, and I’m taking Advantage of that by trying to write more this year! Go easy on me, I’m rusty. I hope you enjoy this little prompt!
Rating: G
W/C: 1561
TW: none
A/N: Watch Wandavision if you haven’t already!
When Loki had asked you to help them work on some spells, you’d expected you’d be mostly providing commentary. Deciding if the outcomewas what Loki had intended, suggesting what to do to make the spells moreeffective, that sort of thing.
And to be fair, it hadstarted out that way.
And then Loki had misread a spell, and the next thing youknew, Loki was towering over you, and you were all but two, a little dazed andvery confused.
Naturally, you did the only thing your newly re-toddleredbrain could do.
You started to cry.
Loki, it seemed, did notappreciate this new turn of events, and the longer they stared at you inblatant disbelief and uncertainty, the more upset it made you, and the nextthing either of you knew, you were absolutely wailing.
The sound alone was enough to have everyone who wascurrently home run into the training room.
“….is that Y/N?” Steve asked, after a long moment of silenceas everyone tried to piece together what happened.
“…yes,” Loki admitted, defeat evident in their voice.
“…Y/N’s a baby?” Nat sounded just as bewildered as Stevelooked, and Loki could only pinch the bridge of their nose.
“Yes, very well spotted, Romanoff. We were practicingspells. I was practicing spells, andI must have said something the wrong way. Asgardian spells are very particular.”
“Make Y/N stop crying!”
“Me?!”
“You did it!”
“Not on purpose!”
While Nat and Loki bickered, it made you only the morefussy, and you continued to wail, as you no longer had the skill set, or thevocabulary, to try and help or figure out what happened and how to help.
Steve picked up on this easily, and was quick to shut theboth of them down. “Arguing isn’t going to help matters, and you’re making Y/Nmore upset. Loki, do you have a way to fix this?”
“If I did, don’t you’d think I’d have done it already?”
Steve opted not to take the bait, and instead heaved a sigh.“Will it wear off?”
“…theoretically. But I don’t know how long until it will.”
“Alright. So in the meantime, Y/N’s a baby. Babies don’ttake care of themselves, so… someone else has to.”
“Not it,” Natasha was quick to respond, already headed forthe door, leaving only Steve, Bruce, and Wanda to stare at you.
“…I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to look after Y/N, given…” Bruce waved his hands in a vaguegesture, but it got the point across.
“Well, I think Loki should do it. Loki caused it, after all.”
Steve looked at Loki, who only glowered in response. “…Notto take sides, but Wanda does have apoint.”
“…fine. But you should know that children and I do not mix, and if anything else happens toY/N, it’s on you.”
“Sure, but if anything happens to Y/N, it’ll be when the skyturns purple, because everyone in this compound knows you’d never do a thing tohurt Y/N.”
You and Loki both knew Steve had a point, and as everyoneleft the room again, so that it was just the two of you, and by now, you’dcalmed down enough that you were no longer wailing, but instead having a nice, pouty little sniffle.
Loki didn’t look any happier at this improvement, andhesitantly approached you, lowering themself to sit down in front of you asthey watched you.
“…I mean it. I’m not good with kids.”
You only pouted more, crossing your arms over your chest asyou kept watching Loki.
“…stop that.”
“Top dat,” you shot back, unable to stop yourself frommocking them.
“Y/N, really.”
“Y/N, weawy.”
“…if you’re trying to make me think you’re cute, it isn’tgoing to work.” All the same, you could see the slightest little smile on theirface.
“I am coot.”
“….you aren’t going to make this any easier for me, are you.”
“Mmmmmmmno.” And you grinned, a cheeky little grin that, despite the change in age, was enough like the old you to make Loki laugh abit.
“Let’s get one thing straight, though, I don’t change ragsor whatever it is human babies wear here, so you’ll be doing all of that onyour own.”
“I’m two!”
“….then we’ll have Steve do it.”
“Fine.”
“Fine.”
The both of you settled into a long, somewhere comfortablesilence, broken only when you spoke up in your tiny little toddler voice. “How wongam I gonna be wike this?”
Loki’s face fell a bit, making it obvious that they weretruly a little out of their depth this time. “…I don’t know. It could be hours,or days, or even weeks.”
“Weeks?!” Youshrieked, which sounded much funnier in a two-year-old voice than you hadintended it to.
“…It won’t take weeks. If it’s not worn off by tomorrowmorning, I’ll start looking through my texts and seeing if I can’t findsomething to reverse it.”
“………..otay.”
You fell into another long silence, and you took theopportunity to push yourself up onto your feet, trying to gain your bearingsand figure out how to maneuver yourself now. Eventually, you got the hang ofit, and you took to walking circles around Loki, just trying to pass the time,as though it might help the spell fix itself if you were being more active.
“What are you doing, Y/N?” Loki asked, watching you withjust your eyes every time you came into their line of vision.
“Passing da time.”
“…right.” Loki fell silent again, and pulled their phone outof their pocket, fiddling around with it for a bit, and you saw anotheropportunity to be annoying, and took it without a second thought.
“Yoo got games on yoow phone?”
As you erupted into laughter, Loki, unappreciative of thehumor, only looked at you as they deadpanned. “You know I don’t.”
“Ya, cebause yoow bowing.”
“I’m not boring, Ijust don’t see the point.”
“It’s fun.”
“You can have fun without playing games on your phone.”
“Yeah, so?”
Loki, clearly wanting to change the subject so they would nolonger be grilled by a two-year-old, put their phone away and stood. “How aboutlunch? Are you hungry?”
That gave you pause, and you stopped, thinking for a moment.“…I could eat.”
“Perfect. Let’s go.” Without thinking about it, Loki startedto walk off, and you stared after them, offended that they didn’t remember youwere now much smaller and therefore walked much more unsteadily.
“Hey!”
Loki turned around to look at you. “What now, Y/N?” You could tell Loki wasn’treally as annoyed as they were trying to act like they were, given the slightedge of concern in their voice.
“Tha’s a long wawk!”
“…and?”
“I’m two!” Youwere starting to wonder how many times you’d have to remind Loki of this.
“…what, do you want me to carry you?”
“Ya!”
Loki narrowed their eyes as they considered you, and youlooked back, smiling innocently as you held your arms out. There was no way you were going to make any bit ofthis easy for Loki; a small bit of payback for being turned into a toddler.
Loki heaved a sigh that was dramatic, even for them, andwent back to you, picking you up and settling you on their hip rather easily, for someone who claimed not to be fond of children. “Not a word of this to the others, are we understood?”
“Mm…. Maybe,” was your only response, and Loki was smartenough to realize that that was the best they were going to get.
Twenty minutes later, and you were happily munching your waythrough your favorite sandwich, feet kicking in the space between the chair andthe ground, as your feet no longer reached.
“Are you happier now?” Loki asked, once you’d finished yoursandwich, and loudly finished the last of the juice box Loki had found for youin the fridge.
“Yah! Tank oo.”
“…you’re welcome.” Loki kept watching you as you set theempty juice box down, and rubbed at your eyes, yawning a bit. “….naptime?”
“….fow someone who doesn’t wike kids, yoo seem to know whatyoow doin’…”
“Yes, well. I do read a lot.”
You allowed Loki to pick you up and carry you over to thecouch, but when they tried to set you down, you whined.
“Nooooooo!”
“What do you mean ‘no’?”
“Noooooo!” youinsisted, and Loki heaved what had to have been the hundredth sigh since you’dbeen toddlerized.
“Y/N, you know I don’t do cuddling, even when we’re bothnormal.”
You gave your absolute, very best puppy dog eyes, hoping youwould be able to sway Loki, and much to your amusement, it seemed to work, asthey gave their hundred-and-first sigh.
“…you’re spoiled,”Loki grumped, with very little actual grumpiness in their voice, and they letyou settled comfortably against their shoulder, watching as you relaxed. “Not aword to the others.”
“Ya, ya, I know…”you mumbled, already halfway to sleep.
Loki said nothing else, only patted your back gently as youdrifted off to sleep.
And a half hour later, when the rest of the team came in tofind the both of you nodded off together, they didn’t have the heart to wakeeither of you.

Tumblr media
bonus— times Spencer was just a little too in love with his girl
There was no one he loved more. That was a fact. Another fact was that everyone knew that. No one questioned his love for the Pretty Girl— well, no one except aforementioned Pretty Girl. That was usually on her bad days though, but on all of the other days, she knew it better than he did. There was many times that he proved it to himself— though, not that it was a competition or anything.
It had just been so long since he was able to openly love someone as much as he loved His Girl. Growing up in the closet, he was never able to be open about who he loved— in fear of getting beat up, not that that saved him from any beatings. Then, when he was older, he fell in love with the beauty that was JJ. But she got pregnant and then fell in love with his best friend— Emily Prentiss. Not that he was questioning her taste in women— because Emily was probably the hottest one of the whole BAU Team. There was no competition on that one.
And once he finally got over her, it was on to the beautiful Doctor Maeve Donavan— but that was over before it even began. Damn stalkers, damn unsubs, damn everything that came with the horrible situation.
That one crushed him. Took away his spirit along with his belief in love. Took away his belief in anything that wasn’t himself. Well, maybe even took himself with it too. That was the one that left him with more trauma than he cared to admit.
That was the one that he was afraid that he’d never heal from.
But then there was her. Then, he met the love of his life. Then was the moment he felt his heart begin to stitch itself back together.
The moment the beauty walked through the huge glass doors was the moment he felt like he could breathe again. He was beyond grateful for the Pretty Girl. And he’d spend the rest of his life making it up to her, even if she was never actually his.
Luckily though, the universe owed him one and she was head over heals for the scrawny agent. It didn’t take long for them to find each other, actually it only took a week of knowing each other (and Spencer following her around like a lost puppy), until he asked her out to coffee. He had learned from his mistakes before. He had learned not to wait— he had learned that nothing was guaranteed. Not even the next breath.
He learned to go for what he wanted— even with his fear of rejection, it was better to know.
Spencer Reid was not the best with words— ironic, considering he knew all of the words, even ones in different languages. The one thing he was good at, though, was showing her (and everyone) just how much he loved his Pretty Girl. He wasn’t aware of it at first— he just did the things. It was second nature to him. It was as easy as breathing for him.
The only reason he was fully aware now was because of his lovely friend, Derek Morgan. It was a normal day at the work place— bad guys doing bad things and innocent people dying because of it.
His girl was being sent out to get said bad guys while he was forced to stay back and work on the geological profile (not that he was complaining, he loved doing it). The only down side of loving someone on The Team was watching them run into danger rather than from it.
He never underestimated his girl— he knew she was a badass who could handle her own, but it was still nerve-racking, not knowing if he’d see her again (he was as dramatic as he was genius).
So, with his heart thumping with anxiety, he had kissed her, like it would be their last time, just before she ran from the police station, and said, “We kiss before and we kiss again after, okay?”
She had agreed to this like it was nothing— because it made sense to her. She wanted that last kiss, just in case.
Just in case.
The dark-skinned hunk had witnessed the whole thing. The older man had snorted and muttered under his breath, “Smooth, Reid. Didn’t know you had it in ya.”
Derek never let him live it down. And Spencer let his friend poke fun, because that meant that he got another day with his Pretty Girl— he knew the day that Derek stopped teasing was the day that he no longer got to love Y/N. And that was a day he wasn’t willing to have.
Another time he noticed it was again because of a BAU Team Member. It was yet another long night at the office— paperwork calling their names and sleep calling them even harder, stress headaches creeping into their skulls and necks aching from leaning over desks for so long.
The Genius had watched his Pretty Girl yawn for the umpteenth time and he sighed, leaning back in his uncomfortable chair. It was routine, she’d groan in frustration, yawn, flex her shoulders and then get back to burning the midnight oil. He assumed that she was growing frustrated with the seemingly growing pile of folders on her desk— Spencer had made his way through his stack and was now finishing up his last. Not everyone had his special power of memorization and speed reading.
The young agent stood, cracking a few bones as he did so. Grabbing his now empty coffee mug, he stalked over to his girl’s desk. Upon reaching, he leaned against the large table, cup balancing on his folded leg. Y/N looked up at him, eyes tired and longing to be taken home. Though, she smiled at him and it warmed the boy’s heart.
“Hey,” it was soft, only meant for her. He was smiling too, he was smiling the smile reserved only for Y/N. Emily, who still sat at her desk, looked over and welcomed the break from the gruesome paperwork on top her cluttered desk.
“Hi,” it was no louder than Spencer’s words, but loud enough for Emily to hear.
“You doin’ alright?” Spencer’s head was ducked down towards his girl. One of his large hands was still wrapped around his mug while the other one had found its way to the shoulder of one very tired Y/N. Her head was leaning on his hand, leaving a small kiss. She smiled at him like he was the only person in the world that mattered— and in her small world, he was. “You want me to take some off your plate?”
She sighed, leaning back in her chair now. Emily watched still, smiling. She was happy that the two had finally found happiness away from the horrible world they all had created for themselves. “No, it’s okay. Thank you though, Spence.”
He smiled. She continued, hands holding another empty mug. “You know what you could do, though?”
“Hmm?” The boy raised his eyebrows, mouth shrinking into the smirk that make Y/N weak in the knees.
“Get me more?” She smiled, lips parting to show her teeth. Spencer blushed, ducking his head again. His hand moved to take the mug from her, standing. They had been dating for awhile now, but she still managed to make him breathless. Their fingers brushed and he felt his stomach erupt in excitement— he hoped that feeling never went away. He would give up forever with her just to keep feeling the way he did in that moment.
“Anything for you, my love.” He bent down to her level, a kiss leaving itself behind on her forehead. Their eyes closed, savoring the moment— that is until the loud voice of Emily Prentiss rang out.
“I could use some more, too!” The lovebirds looked over at their mutual friend. She was cheekily smiling, arm hanging in the air, fingers closed around her own empty mug. The Genius Boy straightened up, frown present on his once smiling lips.
“What?” She laughed, red lips still stretched into her characteristic smile that she more often than not wore, “You’re going that way anyways!”
Spencer’s mouth opened to protest—probably— but Emily spoke again. “You’ll get Y/N some, but not me? After all I’ve done for you? My heart hurts.”
The boy snorted, “Yeah? Well, I’m in love with her, not you, Em.”
The last time that proved that Spencer loved his girl more than anything was something that everyone in the office knew of. The lovebirds liked to pretend that it was their little secret, but in reality they both knew it was one shared with most everyone.
It wasn’t a secret that Spencer and Y/N were hopelessly in love with each other— in fact it was very clear to anyone who walked through the BAU doors. Though in love, they were not the biggest fans of PDA. However, Spencer and his Pretty Girl were still very, very, lovey with one another at the workplace.
Of course, that doesn’t mean they were making out against Spencer’s desk or having secret sex in the BAU bathroom— no, it means that they often shared glances from across the bullpen and small touches when the other is getting just a bit too frustrated and knowing smiles every other hour.
It was the little things they did that kept them on their toes— kept them head over heals. It was special to them that they kept up the romance, no matter what was going on in their very hectic lives.
For example, the two very often left small little notes for each other around the BAU. Nothing inappropriate or out of line, it was usually just something that would be sure to make the other smile. And it wasn’t anywhere that was obvious either, it was almost always in a spot that would only be discovered by Y/N or Spencer.
And sometimes, just sometimes, another member of The Team would stumble across the colorful sticky notes stuck to the back of a chair or to the side of one of Spencer’s many, many, books or to the tip of a pen or even on a coffee mug in the cabinet— unfound by The Lovebirds yet. The Aforementioned Team Member would just smile like they were in on some little secret—because they were—and place the note back so it could be found by a Lovesick Agent later.
They were sentimental people, keeping each and every note— which The Team so desperately wanted to poke fun at, but they let them have this. They let them stay in their little bubble just for a little while longer— as long as it made The lovebirds happy, it made The Team happy too.
In fact, once JJ and Emily had stumbled across the small box that held each and every sticky note. They didn’t pry— well, they tried not to, but curiosity got the best of the two girls. They ended up reading each one, and they were so goddamn adorable, they just about cried.
If there was one thing The Team could agree on, it would be that Spencer and Y/N were perfect for each other and that they all would rather die than let anything happen to the two.

TMNT x Reader - ‘Coming Out’ Scenarios <3 pt. 1
/ To all us folk coming out as male/female and to those with the insecurity of it, and need a little fic to boost your confidence. You’re beautiful, handsome, lovely, you’re EVERYTHING. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. This post will be part 1 to the the 'female to male' scenario. I'll come out with a 'male to female' scnerio post part 1 & 2 soon! /
Intro: :
You were nervous to visit the lair today. Nervous, because today was the day you'd be confessing to your boyfriend that you were transitioning. You hadn't really been obvious about it -- quite the opposite in fact, but it began to bother you how the wrong terms would be thrown your way. Not that they knew...they didn't, and today that was going to change.
You being nervous didn't just stem from the reaction your mutant lover could give you; but you were nervous of the reactions from his ENTIRE family. So as you made your way through the sewers wearing a brace around your chest (sorry if I'm using this wrong, I'm still new to whats worn and whats not when transitioning qvq), you almost considered just making a beeline back to your apartment.
Unfortunately, the promise you'd made to come over kept you from doing that. Soon, you found yourself standing before the brothers, all of which sat about in the living room in preperation for the upcoming movie-thon you all were to have.
Leo
The soft patter of footsteps echoing from the entrance to the lair brought his attention to it, and it was instantanious for him to stand from his seat to go and greet you.
However, the nervous look on your face told him something was wrong -- and....you looked different. It was odd, cause nothing /seemed/ different; You were wearing the same clothing you normally did, hair was the same, face...regardless, he strolled up to you and brought you into a gentle hug.
" Something the matter? " he asks softly, face buried into your hair. He feels you nod and respond quietly. " Leo can -- can we go to your room? This is important.... "
Pulling away from the embrace, a feel of concern washes over him, but he swallows it down and guides you into the safety of his confines. Letting his brothers know you two would be a minute.
Once the door was shut, he turns back to see you sitting on the edge of his bed, fiddling with your fingers. (A nervous habit he found adorable) " What is it you wanted to tell me? Is everything alright, y/n? " he asks. Worry lacing the tone of his voice as he kneels before you, one large hand coming to rest upon your thigh, the other on your knee.
" Y-Yeah! Everything is fine its just -- .... " you were struggling to find the words. (e/c) eyes darting everywhere but the icy stare pointed at you. Then...you had an idea. Looking back to your boyfriend, you rest your hands firmly on his shoulders, tone serious as you stare him dead in the eyes.
" Leo, take off my shirt. " Blink. " What? " " Take of my shirt! Just - trust me. Please. " Swallowing the sudden lump forming in his throat, he regards you with a questioning look before eventually nodding and complying with your request. Raising your arms, you allow him to hook his fingers into the hem of your shirt and gently tug it up and over your head.
There, on your chest, was this odd contraption fit snug around your chest. He eyes it suspiciously, before looking to you for an answer. You, however, smiled bashfully and motioned to it.
" T-This is a um...a brace. Its to make it feel like I have no boobs, and a man's chest. I....Leo, I'm a man. I'm not a girl. I'm currently going through the process of transitioning -- I just... " You paused, the silence and sudden tension within the room causing emotion to well up in your throat. Tears pricking the corners of your eyes, you look at the blue-clad leader - who was currently staring you down with a face that bared no emotion to read.
' He doesn't like this. ' you thought. The damn threatening to break behind your eyes had all but shattered - causing small streams to spill down your cheeks. You choke back a sob, voice coming out broken. Completely unaware of the growing excitement coming from the turtle in front of you. " I-I'm sorry - I'm so sorry...if you don't want..../us/ anymore, I c-completely un- "
You were cut short when arms wrap around your waist and hoist you into the air. A yelp leaving you before you're crushed against Leo's plastoron. The grin plastered onto his face had you gaping -- you'd never seen him smile so big! " y/n, of course I still want us! This is great! " settling you onto your feet, he continues to hold you, his excited expression turning soft as he rests a hand on the side of your face. Which, instincitvely, you nuzzle into.
" I'm /proud/ of you, y/n. I don't care if you're a guy, girl, different species -- you're YOU. And I can't see myself without you. Now come on, handsome. We've got a family to inform. " He says, leaning in for a quick peck before guiding you hand in hand from his room.
Needless to say, the endless support you got not only from him, but from the others? You were lucky to have had them all.
/ / Leo may seem OOC in this compared to a LOT of fics out there - but tbh, he isn't the cold, collected leader he's often portrayed as. I can see him being giddy and excited knowing his SO took such a hard and big step in life - hell, he'd be very proud and it will show. While he may struggle a bit with emotions, I can see him expressing them fluently and with enthusiasm when he figures it out. / /
Raph
It didn't take long for Raph's eyes to fall upon you as you made your way into the living room. The unsure look on your face had him up on his feet, eyes regarding you with a look that was just as unsure. The brute wasn't always so good with emotions -- especially if it was coming from his partner.
" Hey girly, you uh..you doin' alright there? " he tries. Voice cautious. But when you visibly cringed, insecurities instalty began to flood his mind. Why did you cringe? You never cringed when he called you that -- were you mad at him? Here to break up with him? His mind began to reel and when you noticed the blank, wide-eyed stare, you knew he was beginning to jump to conclusions.
His brothers watched, worried but with a growing curiosity as you made your way over and gently touched his arm -- ushering him to sit back in the recliner. He did, eyes on you and mouth unmoving as you stood back a bit, biting your bottom lip before your gaze went to the others in the room.
" So um...I've got something to say. To all of you. I figured I'd let you all know at once cause..well, you're my family. You all deserve to know. " you start. Heart pounding in your chest. It was hard to look up at all the eyes pinned on you, so you opted for finding interest in the floor beneath your feet.
With a small chorus of 'Of course', 'go ahead' and 'we're listening' from the brothers, you finally looked up. (e/c) gaze moving from each turtle until they landed on the emerald green of your boyfriends. You stared long and hard into them, heart in your ears now as you took a deep breath -- exhaled, and finally found the courage to speak two words.
" I'm male. "
There was a deafening silence, the boys all staring at you with utter confusion written on their faces. Mikey was the first to speak up after a minute.
" Whaddya mean angelcakes? Were you not a girl this whole time? " then he gasps. " Then how did you hide it from Ra-- " there was a small 'whap' as the red-clad turtle smacked him upside the head. " No ya' idiot! It means she - ....it means y/n was a female.... " looking back at you, he finally stands up. Hand coming to your chest, he pats it a couple of times. It was then that everyone noticed how flat it was now. " But is on his way to becoming a man. " he finishes.
You look up at him, only to find him smirking down at you. It didn't take long for a smile to grow on your face. He accepted you.
" So wait -- does that mean you're gay now, Raph? " Mikey butts in again. This time, Leo pulls him back by the shell with a glare on his face, shaking his head at the younger turtle who then raises his hands in defense. " It was a genuine question! "
Now it was Donnie's turn to speak up. " A very invasive one, Mikey! I don't think they've got that figured out yet. "
Raph seemed to ponder over that question, though. Brow-ridges furrowed in concentration, before finally taking your hand in his.
" Yeah, Mikey, I guess it means I'm gay. But, only for y/n ~ "
/ Well, this concludes part 1 of the 'coming out, female to male' scanario! I do hope you guys like it so far - and don't be afraif to give me feedback! I'm definitely open to any constructive critisism for my future writings. I'll see you in the next part lovelies! ~ Arrow /

It wasn’t until after you’d finished your fourth glass of wine that you realized you should’ve stopped at your third.
You hadn’t been able to help yourself though — you’d just gotten caught up in the moment, the normalcy, of what was going on around you.
Alexandria was like nothing you’d ever seen before. You hadn’t thought places like this could even exist in the new world you lived in. Yet, here it stood — with steel walls and fortified gates, with watchtowers and armories. There were children of all ages, running around as if there weren’t flesh-eating hoards of the dead roaming outside. There was enough food and water for all, enough medical supplies to stock up a small infirmary. There was even a beautiful garden, for fuck’s sake.
The people within the community had no clue — no concept — of just how bad things had gotten outside their walls.
And just how good they had it inside of them.
When Deanna had first invited your group into her home, to partake in some sort of makeshift ‘welcome to the neighborhood’ party, you’d been hesitant. After everything you’d seen, after everything you’d been through the past few months — the Governor, the Claimers, Terminus — the last thing you’d wanted to do was dress up and play pretend, as if the world hadn’t completely gone to shit.
Still, it was important that you try, that your entire group try — to fit in, to mingle, to get a feel of what exactly you were about to get yourselves into.
And even more so, it was important that you scoped out the people of Alexandria. Your group didn’t trust easy — and for good reason.
You had a little more faith than Rick and the rest of the group. Faith that there were still good people out there and maybe, just maybe, you’d found some here.
Although that could’ve been the wine talking.
A hand suddenly appeared in front of your face, waving back and forth. “Hello? Earth to Y/N,” Maggie teased from beside you, drawing you back from your dazed thoughts.
You glanced down at her sheepishly, swaying slightly from where you sat, perched on the arm of the couch. “Hm?” you hummed faintly, a lazy smile creeping across your face.
Maggie laughed aloud, her features softening for the first time in what seemed like forever as she turned to whisper something to Glenn, who sat beside her.
“Hey, hey, hey, what’re you two love birds whisperin’ ‘bout over there?” you protested with a pout, leaning over in an attempt to eavesdrop — but you suddenly found yourself tipping over, your balance having disappeared right around that second glass of wine, and landed in a clumsy pile beside Maggie.
The pair dissolved into a fit of laughter as you struggled to upright yourself, finding an unexpected giggle slip through your own lips as you gave up with a huff, your face pressed against the back cushion of the couch. “Help?” you asked pathetically, words muffled against the fabric.
Maggie stifled another laugh as she grabbed your hand, pulling you up into a seated position. Glenn shared an elusive look with Maggie, the two seemingly having a silent conversation, before he stood suddenly, extending his hand towards you. “Alright, come on.”
You accepted his reach without question, allowing him to help you up, swaying slightly on your feet. “Ooh, where we goin’?” you mumbled as Maggie joined the two of you.
“Glenn’s gonna take ya home, alright?” Maggie assured, still looking as though she was struggling to keep a straight face.
“What!” you protested, pulling your hand from Glenn’s. “I’m fine — seriously, I’m — I’m fine,” you nodded, waving off the couple as you attempted to do your best impression of a sober person.
“Okay, Y/N,” Glenn relented, crossing his arms over his chest before he smirked at you, shooting Maggie a look you couldn’t quite interpret. “Say the alphabet backward,” he challenged.
You rolled your eyes, ignoring how the motion made your head spin. “Hey, hey, no! That’s not — that’s not supposed to be your shit! Shit, I mean shtick,” you fussed, waggling your finger. “That’s — that should be Rick’s thing, right? ‘Cause, ‘cause he is a man of the law,” you grinned, drawing out the word ‘law’ before you grabbed onto Glenn’s shoulder. “Ya feel me? Ya feel me, brother?” you gasped softly, looking around in bewilderment. “Whoa, that was weird.”
Maggie covered her mouth to stop herself from laughing directly in your face before she excused herself, spotting Rosita motioning her over from the other side of the room.
“Alright, alright, let’s go,” Glenn ushered you forward despite your weakening protests.
You groaned dramatically, earning a side-eye from a couple of Alexandria’s residents — but you simply ignored them, allowing your friend to guide you out of the living room and through the front door.
The cool night air rushed to meet your flushed skin as you inhaled sharply, shaking your head back and forth in an attempt to clear some of the haziness you felt. But the motion threw you off balance and you teetered at the edge of the porch stairs for a moment before Glenn steadied you. “Whoa, whoa, whoa,” he cautioned before helping escort you down the steps safely.
You turned to him once you reached the sidewalk, widening your bleary eyes as you grabbed onto his arm. “Hey, can I ask you somethin’?” you suddenly mumbled, staggering briefly.
Glenn’s expression became serious as he turned to face you fully, his kind eyes locking with yours. “You okay?” he asked, worry etching his features, making him seem much older than he was.
“Is — oops, shit, sorry,“ you fumbled backward for a moment, having accidentally stepped on Glenn’s foot. You stiffened, keeping yourself upright as you took a deep breath. “Is Glenn short for Glennith?”
Glenn froze for a moment as though the question hadn’t fully registered before a smile broke across his face.
“What?” you questioned, brows knitted in confusion. “Come on, what!” you pressed, suddenly unable to stop giggling as you swayed back and forth.
“This is my favorite version of you,” Glenn laughed, reaching out to steady you once more before he jerked his head to the side, making a move to leave.
You took a step forward before faltering, gasping softly. “Shoot,” you murmured under your breath. Glenn shot you a confused look, quirking a brow at the dramatics. “I forgot my jacket,” you frowned, crossing your arms over your chest as a chill racked through you.
“Oh, I got it,” Glenn offered, turning back towards the house — but not before shooting you a firm look. “You just hang out here for a second, okay?”
You nodded, giving your friend two big thumbs up.
Glenn rolled his eyes, though a smirk was still etched on his face. “I mean it,” he urged, pointing a finger at you as he hurried back up the stairway and disappeared inside the house.
You sighed contently, unsure of the last time you’d felt this good — this free. Clearly, your tolerance for alcohol wasn’t what it used to be — but in that moment, alone in the quiet, the chilled night air biting at your exposed flesh, you simply couldn’t find it in you to give a damn.
“What’re ya doin’?” came a sudden voice, breaking the stillness.
You startled, spinning around on your heels towards where the sound came from. But you misstepped, one foot slipping off the sidewalk and onto the road, pitching you forward. Though you managed to stay standing, you straightened too quickly, suddenly losing your balance completely and tumbling down hard onto your right side. “Oof!” you huffed as your body slammed against the pavement, the skin on your right palm tearing as you attempted to catch yourself before your face hit the ground. “Yep, that’s gonna leave a mark,” you groaned through clenched teeth as you rolled onto your back, throwing one arm across your eyes.
You were vaguely aware of footsteps approaching, boots scuffing against asphalt before halting in front of you. “The hell’s wrong with ya?” came that same gruff voice from before, though closer this time.
You lifted your arm slightly, peeking up at the archer now standing above you before you covered your eyes once more. “I fell,” you exhaled defeatedly.
Daryl grunted softly. “I saw.”
You sighed once more, pushing up onto your elbows, locking eyes with the archer. “What can I say? I’m an athlete,” you shrugged sarcastically, waving one hand around as though you were royalty.
“Mhm,” Daryl murmured, nodding along — though you could’ve sworn you saw the hint of a smile toying at his lips before he reached his hand down towards you.
The sober version of yourself would’ve been mortified — but this version, this version couldn’t care less.
You took the archer’s hand, allowing him to pull you to your feet, swaying briefly until you found your balance. You huffed, blowing a misplaced strand of hair out of your face before your eyes settled on Daryl’s, noticing that he’d already been watching you. “Hi,” you smiled sweetly, wondering if you should be concerned that you could no longer feel your face.
Daryl scoffed lightly, unwinding his hand from yours, shoving it deep into the pocket of his jeans before his expression became serious. “Ya shouldn’t be out here alone, ya know,” he rumbled, surveying the surrounding area with guarded eyes. “Ain’t safe.”
You pursed your lips, looking up and down the darkened street before pointing towards the massive walls surrounding the community. “That’s why — that’s why they built these big ass walls, Dixon,” you shot back, tapping your finger to your temple. “Keeps the outside — the outside, uh, outside, you know?”
Daryl grunted. “Ain’t the outside we oughta be worried ‘bout,” he muttered under his breath before pausing, giving you a brief once over as if he was really looking at you for the first time. Then he slowly leaned forward, narrowed eyes boring into yours and you found yourself subconsciously holding your breath under his scrutinizing stare.
“What?” you asked, somewhat self consciously, ignoring the heat suddenly rushing to your cheeks.
“How much have ya had?” he questioned blankly.
“What —“
“Ta’ drink, Y/N,” he demanded, growing irritated for reasons unbeknownst to you.
“Oh,” you frowned, crossing your arms over your chest defensively. “What’s it matter?”
Daryl opened his mouth to respond, but the sound of a door closing drew your attention away.
You spun around, wavering slightly, your nerves still buzzing from the moment previous as you watched Glenn hurry down the steps, your jacket in hand. “Glenn!” you exclaimed, throwing your hands up into the air.
But Glenn didn’t seem fazed — instead, his expression looked tenser than it had before. He spotted Daryl behind you and nodded an acknowledgment as he approached. “Hey,” he breathed, slightly out of breath, glancing over his shoulder back up at Deanna’s house. “Here,” he murmured, handing over your jacket, peeking up at the house once more.
“What’s goin’ on?” Daryl questioned immediately, stepping up onto the sidewalk beside you.
You glanced over at the archer, his normally unreadable features back in place — but he clearly knew something was going on that you hadn’t noticed.
“No, nothing — just —“ Glenn sighed, rubbing one eye with the heel of his hand. “Sasha. She’s — she’s kind of having a tough time in there.”
Then as if on cue, Sasha came barreling through the front door, rushing down the stairs as though someone was after her. She spared the three of you a quick, flustered glance before she pushed past Glenn’s outstretched hand and stormed down the sidewalk, away from everyone else.
Glenn exhaled heavily, looking back at you and Daryl somberly. “Like I said, she’s having a tough time,” he murmured, rubbing a hand through his hair as he shifted, looking torn all of the sudden.
“Go,” Daryl suddenly rumbled.
Glenn glanced at you before looking at Daryl. “But —“
“M’ goin’ back ta’ the house anyways,” the archer interrupted. “I got her.”
You were about to ask who this ‘her’ was that they were talking about — but then Glenn was jogging off in the direction Sasha has just gone and Daryl was nudging you in the opposite direction.
“Wha — oh, alrighty then,” you stumbled forward slightly, feeling Daryl grab onto your elbow to keep you upright.
The longer you walked, the more your buzz began to wear off, the crisp night air having an efficient way of sharpening your senses. Neither you or the archer spoke, walking side by side in silence — you didn’t mind, though. You’d always felt oddly comfortable around him.
When you’d first joined the group back at Atlanta, everyone had warned you of the archer. They’d said he was hotheaded and aggressive, hostile and impulsive — especially living under the shadow of his older brother. But you’d never thought any of that — honestly, when you’d looked at him back then, you’d just thought he seemed scared.
And rightfully so if you had anything to say about it.
You sighed aloud, hugging the jacket you still held close to your chest. The house your group shared came into view — you’d only been at Alexandria for a couple of days and it seemed like no one was quite comfortable enough to move into their own spaces yet. You didn’t care — you preferred to be in close proximity to your family — it was the only way to keep everyone safe.
Daryl was so silent, you almost forgot he was beside you. Not even his footsteps made a sound — that was probably why he made such a good hunter, you thought to yourself. But you didn’t have to look at him to know he was deep in his thoughts, his mind constantly on edge, reliving the brutal past and anxiously waiting for the next bad thing to occur.
You nudged him gently. “Hey,” you murmured, your hazy eyes locking with his troubled ones. “We’re gonna be okay,” you whispered softly.
Daryl huffed, approaching the front steps of the house. “I jus’ don’t trust ‘em, is all,” he finally grumbled.
“You? Not trusting people? You’re kidding!” you teased, feigning surprise as you stepped up onto the stairs.
Karma came at you full force then — you realized too little too late that you’d misjudged your growing sobriety. Almost immediately, your foot slipped out from under you, causing you to topple forward, the steps rushing up to meet your face. But before you could fully face plant, you felt Daryl grab onto one of your flailing arms, stopping your fall just in time. “Shit,” you breathed, craning your neck to look at the archer. “I guess I deserved that one for sassing you,” you groaned, using your free hand to push yourself up.
You hissed suddenly, pain spreading through the palm of your right hand as you straightened — you’d forgotten all about your little tumble outside of Deanna’s. But before you could get a good look at your palm, Daryl’s hand snaked around your wrist, bring your arm closer to his face. He inspected your hand by the light streaming from the front porch, his expression neutral. “C’mon,” he mumbled, releasing his hold on you, nudging you up the stairs.
You cradled your hand to your chest, the pain sharper now that you were sobering up. But above anything else, you simply felt embarrassed. For drinking too much, for making an ass out of yourself — especially in front of him.
Your head hung low as you carefully maneuvered up the stairs and followed the archer inside. You spared the back of his head one last look before sighing, turning towards the stairs that led to the second floor, determined to stow yourself away in pure mortification.
“Where’re ya goin’?” Daryl’s voice cut through the silence.
You faltered, one foot already on the first step. “Oh —“
“C’mere,” he stated simply, waving you forward as he made his way into the kitchen — it wasn’t a request, you realized a moment later.
Your brows knitted in confusion as you set your jacket down on the railing, following the archer into the next room. You stood awkwardly in the doorway, watching Daryl stomp around the kitchen in a whirlwind, opening and closing cabinets, clearly searching for something. He glanced at you from over his shoulder. “Sit.”
His tone of voice made you feel like a child — but still, you did as he told, sliding down into one of the chairs around the dining table. You propped your head up with your left hand, uncurling the fingers on your right hand to examine the cut.
It wasn’t as bad as you’d thought — there were a couple of scrapes, some deeper than others, and little dark specks inside of the torn skin, most likely rocks or small pieces of gravel.
A soft clink drew your attention and you noticed the archer now standing beside you, a glass of water now placed on the table. “Drink,” he grunted before turning without another word.
You watched his retreating form, your eyes narrowing as he began searching the cabinets once more. “Have you always been this bossy or am I just realizing it now?” you challenged, quirking a brow. Daryl didn’t turn around but you heard a soft grunt which you chose to interpret as a ‘yes’.
You rolled your eyes, but grabbed the glass of water nonetheless, nearly chugging the entire contents in one gulp — you hadn’t even realized you’d been that thirsty. Daryl continued to move about the kitchen, clearly on some kind of mission, searching for something he was having trouble locating. But you were content to sit and simply watch him exist — you’d always found him as somebody you had a hard time not noticing.
You took another long swig of water as the archer reappeared at the table, holding a bowl in one hand and a first aid kit in the other. He set the bowl down and slid it towards you. “Eat,” he rumbled, his tone still demanding as he sat down on the chair diagonal from you.
Whatever smart-ass comment you were about to make fell short when you peered inside the bowl, a soft gasp escaping through your lips as you peeked up at the archer. “Is — is this —” a small smile crept over your face. “Spaghetti?”
“Aaron,” the archer answered simply, sliding a fork towards you.
You picked up the utensil from the table, digging into the meal without a second thought, unable to stop the blissful moan that came out of you after the first bite. “Oh my God,” you sighed around the food in your mouth. “I love him — I, I mean, I truly love him.”
“Alright, easy, girl,” Daryl grumbled, rummaging through the kit before pulling out tweezers, gauze and alcohol wipes.
You laughed softly. “Don’t be jealous,” you teased, shoveling another big forkful of pasta into your mouth.
The archer merely rolled his eyes, though you could’ve sworn his gaze darkened. “Lemme see,” he suddenly grumbled, grabbing the hand you’d injured, laying it onto the tabletop, palm facing the ceiling.
Using your free hand, you continued eating, every mouthful further sobering you up. Your body was starting to feel sluggish, your eyelids growing heavier with each passing moment as you finished your last bite, sighing contently.
You pushed the bowl away as you propped your head up with your free hand, watching the archer’s steady movements. He picked up the tweezers, resting them between his fingertips as he slid his other hand beneath yours, bringing your palm closer to his face. His eyes narrowed as he inspected the cut on your hand, using the dimmed light above the kitchen table to survey the damage done.
He pulled your fingers back slightly, the skin on your palm stretching as he hunched over, his soft breath tickling your skin. His touch was surprisingly gentle, you realized then.
“Huh,” you breathed softly, the corner of your mouth quirking up.
Daryl glanced up, regarding you warily. “What?” he mumbled, almost self-consciously.
“Dr. Dixon,” you waggled your eyebrows, a soft laugh slipping through your lips as the archer rolled his eyes, though you could’ve sworn you saw the tips of his ears suddenly turn pink.
“Shut up,” he grumbled, though his tone lacked any harshness. He brought the tweezers to your skin, slowly pushing them deeper into your palm until he was able to grasp an imbedded piece of gravel.
You winced, fighting back the urge to curl your hand into a fist. Daryl glanced up at you, scanning your features for a moment before he continued removing the small pieces of rock, moving a fraction slower than before.
Daryl was efficient — he had your wound cleaned and bandaged within minutes, neither of you uttering a word the entire time. You were content to just watch, keeping your gaze on his features to distract you from the burning sensation on your palm. He was incredibly focused — looking as though he was diffusing bomb instead of simply wrapping your hand in gauze.
His brow was furrowed, eyes narrowed — though that seemed to be a permanent feature of his. You suddenly felt this overwhelming urge to touch him, to brush away some of the worry etched on his face — to just be closer to him.
But you fought back the urge, instead bumping your knee against his to draw his attention. “Hey,” you murmured as your eyes locked. “Everything’s gonna be okay, you know.”
Daryl was quiet for a moment, his gaze searching yours before he finished the last wrap, releasing your hand from his.
“I mean it,” you pressed, sighing softly. “Even if it doesn’t work out here, we’re gonna be alright. I need you to know that, D. I just —“ you exhaled, blowing a strand of hair out of your face. “I’m here if you need anything, okay? Anything.”
The archer remained silent, a flash of something flitting across his features as his eyes flickered down to look at your lips before locking with yours once more. “Ya got somethin’ on your face,” he suddenly murmured.
“What!” you squeaked out, leaning away from him abruptly, feeling your face flush.
Daryl pointed to the corner of his lips. “There,” he motioned, his mouth twitching as though he was struggling to keep a straight face.
Your lips formed into a pout as you pathetically felt around your face. “I was just trying to have a moment with you — you know what, whatever!” you fussed dramatically as you wiped your face, realizing a moment too late that you’d used the back of your bandaged hand. You looked down at the red stains now soaking into the gauze. “Spaghetti sauce,” you whispered defeatedly, glancing up at the archer.
Daryl was still for a moment before his face softened, a deep, rumbling laugh coming from his chest — the sound so rare it immediately caught you off guard.
And so you sat back in your seat, fondly watching the archer, desperately wanting to savor the fleeting moment.
Daryl’s gaze caught yours and his laugh faded, in its place a small, somewhat sad smile. His features settled after a moment before he lowered his head — you couldn’t place the emotion he was suddenly exuding, but it seemed to resemble something like embarrassment.
For letting his tough exterior slip? For allowing a moment of joy to overcome him?
You weren’t sure.
All you knew was that you’d give anything — anything — to soothe his bruised and weary soul.
You regarded him carefully, studying his features under the dimmed kitchen light — his guarded eyes, focused downward, his pressed lips, only parting when he brought the side of his thumb between them, the faint scar above his right eyebrow, peeking through the hair that fell over his face.
Then without thinking, you reached forward.
You didn’t miss the way Daryl flinched at your sudden movement, his entire body going rigid. You faltered, pushing past the unexpected heartache you felt. Your outstretched fingers hovered between you before you extended your reach, gently brushing back the hair that covered the archer’s eyes. “There,” you whispered, a somber smile flickering across your lips.
A beat of stillness passed as Daryl’s gaze searched yours, clearly caught off guard but a look in his eyes you had never seen before.
You exhaled, hoping the archer couldn’t hear the shakiness within your breath as you leaned back. “I —” you breathed quietly, attempting to collect yourself. “I should probably get some sleep,” you murmured, pushing past the lump in your throat, afraid of what would happen if you spent one more second with such little space between you.
“Mhm,” Daryl mumbled, nodding once, his expression unreadable though the air between you was buzzing — practically electric — every nerve ending in your body feeling as though they’d been set ablaze. It was as though there was some sort of magnetic pull, drawing you together, the distance between you becoming smaller and smaller until —
The front door suddenly splintered opened, you and Daryl simultaneously jumping to your feet at the intrusion, heavy breaths mirroring each other as you spun towards the noise.
Acting on pure instinct, Daryl yanked his hunting knife from the sheath hanging from his belt, taking a defensive step forward, part of his body automatically moving to shield you.
But when Sasha came into view, storming past the kitchen and up the stairs without a second glance, you let out the breath you’d been holding, your head dropping into your hands as your cheeks flushed, the moment prior finally registering.
What the fuck was that.
From the corner of your eye, you watched Daryl slowly retract his knife, slipping it back into its sheath. You snuck a glance at him, his body so still you weren’t even sure he was breathing.
You dropped your hands with a huff, carefully maneuvering around the archer without touching him, keeping your gaze forward as you slowly walked to the kitchen doorway. You paused once you reached the entrance, turning around to glance back at Daryl, who remained frozen in place.
“Uh,” you murmured awkwardly, gnawing on your bottom lip for a moment, trying to push past the fuzziness you felt in your stomach. “I’m — I’m gonna head to bed. Uh, thank you —“ you held up your bandaged hand. “Thank you for this,” you finished, awkwardly waving at the archer.
Daryl’s eyes remained fixed on the far wall, motionless, avoiding your gaze completely.
You sighed quietly, feeling like a fool for whatever had transpired before — and though you knew you should’ve just gone straight to bed, you couldn’t help the next words that came tumbling from your lips. “I’m sorry — shit, I’m so sorry. I-I don’t know what happened, but I didn’t mean — you and I —“ you huffed a breath, throwing your hands up. “Damn it, I don’t know. I’m just — I’m sorry.”
You were mortified — even more so when Daryl barely even flinched at your words, acting as though he hadn’t even heard them at all. You sighed quietly, turning to leave when suddenly, the archer spoke.
“Y/N?” his voice seemed thick, like it’d caught in his throat.
You locked eyes with him from over your shoulder, your heart beating a fraction faster. “Hm?” you hummed, not trusting your voice.
He was silent for what seemed like forever until he straightened, as if he was attempting to build some courage, steeling himself for whatever he was about to say. “Ya don’t ever gotta apologize ta’ me,” he rumbled simply.
You let his words settle, the intent behind them more meaningful than you could even comprehend in that moment. A small smile grew across your lips as you nodded slowly, a familiar heat flushing across your features. “Goodnight, Daryl,” you whispered, pushing away from the doorway and towards the stairs.
And as your foot landed on the first step, you heard a soft mumble echo from the other room.
“Goodnight, Y/N.”
A/N: So...how did y’all like this one!?

Song I Wrote To: “You Are The Reason (Duet Version)” by Calum Scott and Leona Lewis
Note: I’m Sorry. This is where we get some canon divergence. I will be changing a few things. For one, I don’t think Aaron went to the fair in the show, but he’s there in this story with Gracie. As we move into season 10, I have changed quite a bit. Thanks for sticking with me so far! ALL OFFICIAL DIALOG IS PROPERTY OF AMC
—————
It had been a long time since you had seen the walls and roads of The Kingdom.
King Ezekiel had just given his big speech as he welcomed everyone to the first community fair. Aaron had run off with Gracie as soon as you had arrived. The two of you had left Alexandria before Michonne and Judith were about to head out. Michonne assured you that she would be fine even though you offered to go with her as a security escort.
It was so strange to see so many of your old friends in one place. Tara was there with her people from Hilltop, Alexandrians milled about, and you even spotted Rachel smiling with her women from Oceanside.
If you weren’t feeling the dread from what was waiting for you beyond the safety of the walls, you would have been smiling along with her. However, you couldn’t. The entire ride to The Kingdom, you had been on edge and you thought your reins were going to shred beneath your fingers.
Aaron had told you to relax. He figured Alpha wouldn’t be stupid enough to do anything on the main road. While you wanted to believe that, the sheer fact that you didn’t run into any of the Whisperers made you even more nervous.
Still, you tried for Aaron, for Ezekiel and Carol, and especially for yourself. Aaron had been right, you needed a break. Negan’s tired eyes and concerned smile were still fresh in your mind as you walked among the stalls. He said that you would have a lot to talk about when you got back and he was right. Perhaps then, you would be able to finally get words out that weren’t drenched in frustration.
Till then, you needed to learn to breathe again.
Enid walked next to you, smiling as she too, took in the joys of the celebration around you. You noticed her in the crowd with Alden as soon as you arrived and she had just gravitated towards you, chatting away about the stall she was going to be doing.
“Did you hear what I said?” Enid asked you and you turned to her.
“Sorry, what?” you asked. She gave you a sheepish smile.
“I was just asking if you thought about setting something up?”
“A stall for the fair?”
“Is that such an odd idea?” she asked.
“I just don’t know what I would do,” you said with a shrug.
“You’re a great shot,” Enid reminded you.
“With a gun,” you said. “Not many of those around these days.”
“Yeah, I guess not,” she said with a shrug of her own. As the two of you headed for the main gate, Enid peeled off to go find Alden and you pushed on to meet Carol.
You had briefly said hello when you had arrived, but she was doing her “Queenly” duties and you hadn’t had much of a chance to speak to her. Now, she looked to be gearing up. Ezekiel was next to her along with Kelly, Magna, Luke, and Yumiko.
“What’s going on?” you asked as you approached.
“Henry isn’t back yet,” Carol explained.
“He’s not? But they left last night. They should have beat us here,” you said with a furrowed brow.
“That’s what I thought,” Carol said and you could see a worried look in her eyes. A look you were all too familiar with. A weight settled on your chest as your hand rested on the pommel of Paul’s sword. “I have to go look for them.”
“I’ll go with you,” you promised. While Carol was worried about her child, you were suddenly very concerned for the other teen in the group.
Where was Lydia?
“You don’t have to,” Yumiko said as she pointed over your shoulder. You all turned to see the large doors open. Running ahead of a horse-pulled carriage was a familiar dog with its tail up in the air.
Michonne and Judith sat in the front of the carriage as Daryl walked alongside it. In the back were Connie, Henry, and Lydia. Dog began making circles around everyone as Henry hobbled out of the makeshift carriage and towards his parents.
Carol didn’t hesitate to pull him into her arms. Connie was doing the same thing with her sister and the rest of her family. As Ezekiel grabbed onto his wife and son, you went for Daryl.
“Ya showed,” he observed as you hugged him.
“Aaron suggested I needed a break,” you said and then stepped back so Carol could launch herself at her best friend. Henry was still hugging his dad and that’s when you noticed Lydia watching the interaction with an awkward stance.
You moved immediately to her side and slipped your arm around her shoulders. “Hey, kid,” you greeted and she gave you a closed-mouth smile.
“Hi,” Lydia said.
“Ya alright?” you asked, checking her over in case she was hurt. Lydia just nodded and fiddled with the wooden pendant around her neck.
“I’m glad you’re here,” Lydia whispered and you squeezed her shoulder, pulling her tighter against you.
“I figured it would be boring without my winning personality,” you teased and she laughed a bit at that. She then became very stiff next to you. “What’s wrong?” you asked, but she was staring at something ahead. Looking up, you saw Tara staring at Lydia with venom in her eyes.
“What is she doing here?” Tara said and you placed Lydia behind you protectively. Henry then moved to her side and took hold of her hand. Tara watched the movement with anger.
Michonne, who had been speaking with Ezekiel and Carol as they got acquainted with Judith turned to the King and Queen.
“Gather the leaders,” Michonne said and then nodded at you as an invitation, “We need to talk.”
—————
“I know I haven't always seen eye-to-eye with everyone in this room,” Michonne began, “but I never stopped caring about any of you. I was just trying to protect my family and do right by my people. Alexandria's future is here. Together, with you. And we lost sight of that for a while. But... I'm here now. We're here now.”
Michonne then turned to you and gestured for you to speak. “Michonne, Gabriel, and I have all spoke with the other council members at the fair, and we all agree. Alexandria is willing to grant asylum to Lydia. She's one of us now. We hope the rest of you can join us in doing the same.”
“Since when do you speak for Alexandria?” Tara asked.
“Since I asked them to,” Michonne defended. “(Y/N) has taken up a role that I had never expected. They are more than capable of not only speaking for us but defending us as well.” Tara was quiet after that and you couldn’t help but feel pride swell in your chest at her words. You had been so worried about how Michonne would see you after everything that had been going on with Negan, but she was still the woman you had met all those years.
“Thank you,” Lydia spoke up from her spot between Judith and Henry in the theater seats. “I'll do whatever I can to earn my keep and pay you back.” You sent her a wink and she gave you her signature closed-lip smile.
“If her mother retaliates, it's gonna be against Hilltop, not Alexandria. I have to do right by my people. I thought we were on the same page,” Tara said.
“We were,” you said.
“Look, when she came to my gates,” Michonne said, “I asked her to run away. And when she didn't, I was angry.”
“Then you know why I'm not okay with this,” Tara said.
“I do. I also know why Rick didn't trust me when I showed up at the gates of the prison. And how people didn't trust you after seeing you on the other side of the Governor's firing line,” Michonne said.
“Or how Daryl nearly took my head off when he met me,” you added and Daryl raised a brow at you, remembering the moment.
“I was gonna kill you on sight when you washed up on our shore,” Rachel added.
“Okay, okay,” Tara said. “That’s fair.”
“Lydia didn’t choose where she came from,” you said. “None of us did, but she deserves the chance to be apart of something. She deserves a family who will care about her.”
“Second chances don’t come around often,” Rachel added, supporting you. You thought that statement was ironic considering who was constantly living in your mind.
“I left some of my best fighters at Hilltop, but if Daryl's right about these skin job numbers, it's not enough people,” Tara said.
“We should take a group to Hilltop to protect ‘em just in case,” Daryl said.
“I’ll take some from Kingdom,” added Carol.
“Oceanside can spare some,” Rachel said.
“Alexandria, too,” finished Gabriel.
“Nobody is going to fight this war alone,” you said. “The only reason we won the last one is that we were together. If Alpha does come after us, we can’t afford to be on different sides anymore.”
“So, we head out in the morning?” asked Rachel.
“Nah, we go today,” Daryl said. “Best not to give them any more time.” Michonne then spoke up again.
“In order to face this threat, the four communities have to present a united front. Which is why I'm proposing a mutual protection pact. An attack against one community is an attack against all of us. Together, we can make these people think twice before moving against the Hilltop,” Michonne said and you and Gabriel nodded, backing her up.
“The leadership of the Kingdom is very amenable to this idea,” Ezekiel said after looking to his Queen.
“Oceanside is in,” Rachel agreed.
“So, how do we seal it?” Tara asked. “Cause I’m not doin’ a blood oath with (Y/N).” You just smiled sweetly at her.
“I have just the thing…” Ezekiel said as he got up and walked into the wings of the stage. From a crate, he pulled out an old theater poster frame, and from it, he pulled the community charter.
“You’ve had that thing this whole time?” you asked, impressed.
“I’m a man of many surprises,” he said and you raised your hands in surrender.
“Fair enough.”
Ezekiel lay the charter on the table and one by one, the leaders of the communities signed. Rachel signed for Oceanside, Tara for Hilltop, Ezekiel and Carol for The Kingdom, and Gabriel for Alexandria. You looked at all the people in that room as you stood next to Daryl and you felt as something big had just happened.
Everything was finally coming together and your family was finally whole again.
--------
You and Judith began walking laps around the fair.
The young girl picked at a candy apple that she held in her hands. “Can I ask you something?” Judith asked, peering up at you from under her hat.
“Go for it,” you said.
“Did you talk to him before you left?” she asked.
“Subtle,” you said, flicking her hat.
“I’m just making sure you’re okay,” Judith said. “I don’t like it when you two fight.”
“When did you become such a matchmaker?” you asked.
“I’m not!” she said. “I can just see that he likes you a lot...maybe more than a lot.” You paused in your tracks.
“What do you know?” you asked, your eyes narrowed.
“Nothin’,” Judith said, but you weren’t buying it.
“Remember Jude, I watched you grow up. I can see through you,” you said.
“Nope, I’m a wall!” she announced as she bit into her apple again.
“Right,” you snorted.
“But are you okay?” she asked, this time her voice was a bit more serious. Well, as serious as a ten or eleven-year-old could be.
“Yeah, kid, I’m okay. I actually think I figured it all out,” you said. Which was true, you had figured it out, but now you were just trying to get the courage to do something about it. All in all, no matter how angry you were with him or how upset, what you felt for Negan was bigger than all of it.
“Good,” she said with a smile. As the two of you walked, you began to feel a chill in the air. You noticed Lydia and Henry up ahead walking hand in hand and as your breath became visible before you, you shivered. “I think a storm is coming,” Judith said.
“Yeah?”
“I can feel it,” she said.
“Where’d you learn that trick?”
“From Mom who learned it from Uncle Daryl,” Judith said. You couldn’t help but smile at her then.
“Smart,” you said and she laughed before grabbing your hand and dragging you further into the fray, her candy apple swinging alongside her.
---------
Back in Alexandria, Negan lay on the floor of his cell as he tossed a ball in his hands.
When the door to the cell opened, he had no idea who it could be and because he knew it wasn’t you, he didn’t care. However, when he heard the person clear their throat, he did sit up.
“What do I owe this pleasure?” he asked. Laura stepped further into the light and in her hands was a new winter coat.
“there’s a storm on the way,” she said. “I was asked to give you this.” Negan stood as she passed it through the bars.
“Thanks, Laura,” he said and she nodded. Negan hadn’t spoken to his former lieutenant since the fall of the Sanctuary, at least no more than a few words here and there.
“I’m sorry,” Laura suddenly said. Negan was confused as he braced a hand on the bars.
“What are you apologizing for? Isn’t that my job?” he asked.
“I’m sorry that your life ended up like...this,” she said, but Negan was already shaking his head.
“Don’t apologize for the shit that I did,” he said. “You know better than anyone that what I was doin’ was eventually gonna get me dead or locked up. I guess I can just be glad that Rick didn’t cut any further than he did.” Laura nodded, hearing him.
“Still, you were always fair to me and kind. I also wanted to thank you. While being a Savior wasn’t the most moral of things, if you hadn’t found me all those years ago and brought me to the Sanctuary, I’d be dead.”
“Silver lining, then?” he offered.
“A small one,” Laura said. Negan smiled softly at that.
“I’m proud of you, Kid. You managed to make a new life, one that I should have tried to give you years ago. Don’t screw it up.”
“I won’t if you won’t,” she said and then offered her fist to him. He bumped it with his own.
“I’ll take that deal,” Negan said. Laura smiled and then went to leave, but right before she left, she turned one last time.
“Oh and if you hurt (Y/N), I’ll castrate you with a rusty spoon,” she said with a grin before leaving. Negan stared after her and he was suddenly very aware of everything on his body.
“Fucking hell.”
-------
Eventually, it was time to head to Hilltop.
When you told Aaron you were going to help, he wasn’t surprised. “I knew you couldn’t sit still for long,” he had said. “Just be careful.”
You promised that you would and headed to the main gate to prepare to leave. Daryl was getting his bike off the trailer when you found him. You were tightening your sword’s scabbard when he looked up.
“Ready to go?” you asked.
“Yeah,” he said. “Lydia is gonna stay here and then Aaron and Gabriel will bring her to Alexandria.”
“Sounds good,” you said.
“Mmhmm,” he said. “Are you in any rush to get back there?”
“You and Judith spend too much time together,” you said with a knowing look.
“So, you and Negan…”
“We really don’t need to talk about it, D,” you said.
“Are ya sure?”
“I’m so over talking about it,” you admitted. “I just gotta do something.”
“When ya do, I don’t need the details,” he snarked.
“Asshole,” you muttered and he just smirked. “Where ya gonna go after we get to Hilltop? I heard Ezekiel offering you to make Kingdom your home.”
“Not sure if this place is gonna last much longer,” he said with a sigh.
“You know that Alexandria is always going to be your home, right? No matter how long it’s been.”
“I know,” he said.
“We can’t keep running, Daryl. Come home,” you said. He was quiet for a moment before he dropped his head.
“Alright,” he agreed, “but after we handle Hilltop.”
“Okay.”
Soon everyone was saying goodbye and assuring that they would all be safe. Tara was sending her people out first before following after. Ezekiel was trying to get her to stay for the rest of the fair, but she said that she needed to get home. So, Dianne was going to lead her soldiers home.
As you were securing Daryl’s bow to his bike, you noticed him with Dog as he spoke to Connie. It was subtle, but there was something about his body language that told you a lot. Perhaps Connie was more than just a friend. You watched on as he awkwardly waved to her and when he turned back to you, his eyes narrowed.
“Shut up,” he said as he went up to you.
“I didn’t say anything,” you said.
“Nah, but you were thinking it. I can see it on your face,” he said.
“She’s pretty,” you said.
“And yer annoyin’,” he countered.
“Hey, who am I to judge?” you said with your hands raised.
“Yeah, exactly.” With a roll of your eyes, you climbed onto the back of Daryl’s bike as he took the spot in front. Michonne waved to Judith as you and the others pulled out of Kingdom. You hadn’t seen Lydia before you left, but Ezekiel said that he would keep an eye on her for you.
It was odd that you had essentially become her advocate with Daryl as her main protector. You never imagined you would essentially become a parent to a messed up teen, but here you were.
Yumiko and Magna rode behind you, their weapons at the ready and you kept your head on a swivel as you all move through the woods. Walkers were around, but only a few at a time and were easily taken out by the archers. Still, any time one would make itself known, you could feel Daryl tense in front of you. It was going to be a long night.
You were well into the ride when you came across three men who flagged you down.
Carol seemed to know them as she walked up to meet them. “What’s wrong, Ozzy?” she asked.
“Ya gotta see this, Boss,” the man, Ozzy, said. He seemed very concerned as he gestured you all forward. Daryl shouldered his bow as he followed and you and Michonne were right behind him, both of your hands on your swords.
The Highway Men, as Carol referred to them, had been acting as security and watchers for The Kingdom. They were good trackers, fighters, and were the newest addition to the community. What they had found on their patrol, worried you a lot.
It looked as if a pack of wild animals had attacked a caravan. “We were clearing the roads. Spotted tracks leading here,” Ozzy said.
“It's from Hilltop,” Yumiko said, holding up one of the wooden pendants that were crafted there. The same one that Lydia wore around her neck.
“Walkers didn’t do this,” you said with a glance to Daryl “This was people.”
“Skins?” Michonne asked and then looked to the Highway Men. “You know about them?”
“We got the download,” Ozzy confirmed. “We would have seen any people out here with my patrols, but not if they were covered in Skins.”
“Fantastic,” you said, your nerves growing.
“(Y/N),” Daryl called, “look at this.” You met him down by the broken carriage and realized what he was seeing.
“They fought back,” you said. “They were dragged away. That way,” you said with a point.
“Come on,” Daryl said.
“We can’t all go,” Dianne said. “If this was the Whisperers, then they would have followed this from Hilltop. We need to get back.”
“Michonne and I will go with (Y/N) and Daryl,” Carol said. “Rest of you ride for Hilltop.”
“We can continue our patrols around here,” Ozzy said and Carol nodded.
“Alright,” said Michonne. “We’ll see if we can find them and bring them home.” You nodded to Michonne and then everyone was shaking hands and promising to meet up later. Yumiko then joined you, offering her bow.
“Stay close and if you see Walkers, don’t hesitate. They could be Whisperers,” you said.
“And if they are,” Michonne said, “go for the kill.”
—————
“I really don’t like this,” you said as you walked next to Yumiko. Carol and Daryl were in the front while Michonne was at the back, her Katana in her hand.
“Neither do I,” Yumiko said as she gripped her bow tighter. “Do you people do this a lot?”
“Only when it’s necessary,” you said. “We try not to get involved, but we usually end up doing just that.”
“I don’t know how you do it,” she said.
“We do it because nobody else will.”
“And your families, are they okay with this?”
“My family is right in front of me,” you said. “We’ve been fighting since day one, I don’t think any of that is going to change.”
“Then I’m glad that I have you on my side,” Yumiko said and you gave her a half-smile.
“Me too.”
Daryl was tracking the Hilltop members that were attacked. You kept back, but mirrored his steps, just in case he missed anything. He never did, but it was a force of habit. All you could think about was Alpha’s face and every shadow in the woods was keeping you on edge.
“Don’t give her an inch…” Negan had said. He had wanted you to be strong and you weren’t going to let him down. Whatever happened when you saw him again, it didn’t matter. You just needed to see his face again. That was what kept you going.
You had to get home to Negan.
“Magna is worried about me,” Yumiko said, trying to change the mood. You nodded, grateful for the distraction.
“That’s actually a good thing. It means she cares about you,” you said.
“Do you have one? A Magna?” Yumiko asked.
“Sort of,” you said with a sigh. “It’s complicated.”
“Word of advice,” Yumiko said. “Uncomplicate it because if you are lucky to have them, you better keep them.”
“Thanks, Yumiko,” you said and she knocked your shoulder with her own.
As you walked, Michonne and you both took down Walkers with your blades, taking their heads off their shoulders. It took you a few to get the hang of the new weapon, but it was beginning to feel natural. You would definitely need to do some proper training with Michonne when you got home though.
It was after dusk when Daryl told everyone to halt. Then, from out of the trees came Walkers that you instantly recognized.
“They’re from Hilltop!” you said as you went for the first one. In a long arc, you swung your sword at the Dead man who came at you. His head was cut from his body and you pierced the brain as it rolled to your feet.
From there on, more and more Dead converged as the sun set and darkness wrapped around the five of you. “I can’t see,” Yumiko said.
“Stay together!” Daryl shouted, placing you at his back as you and Michonne leveled your blades. The archers, all three of them, let go of their bows and drew their knives. Daryl held two blades in each of his hands as he prepared to strike.
“Watch their hands!” Michonne yelled as the Walkers fell upon you. You could feel the blood from the other Dead splashing on the back of your neck as you fought your own Walkers.
Your arms stung from the exertion, but you couldn’t slow down. Fear settled into your bones as you fought, but Negan’s voice returned to you.
“You are stronger than them and the only way they win is if you let them,” he had said and with those words being screamed in your head, you swung again, feeling your adrenaline spike.
“Back to the road!” Daryl yelled and everyone began running. “This way,” he grunted reaching for you, but before you could find him in the dark, the sound of a gun cocking had everyone freezing in their steps.
“Drop them,” a horrific whisper said and if you hadn't already been scared, that sound chilled you to your soul. More and more whispers came from around you and your grip loosened on your sword. “I won’t ask twice.”
“Beta…” Daryl sneered and you felt your heart fall into your heart. Beta was alive and you could feel the anger that echoed around him. One by one you all dropped your weapons and the Skins picked them up. Seeing the dirty hands of a Whisperer touch Paul’s sword made you sick.
“You just had to give me the girl,” Beta whispered. “No one else had to die. Now that deal...is done.” His words washed over you and no matter how many times you tried to focus on Negan’s face or his voice, all you heard was Beta’s horrifying voice.
“You touch the girl and I’ll tear your throat out with my teeth,” you snarled. Beta walked up to you and grabbed you by the throat, angling your face to meet his. You stared back with unwavering disgust.
“You make veiled threats,” he said.
“Come a little closer and we’ll see how veiled they are,” you said, pushing in closer. Beta shoved you back and you stumbled into Carol who quickly righted you.
“Take them,” Beta ordered and his people moved in.
One by one, you were tied up. The Skins tied your hands behind your back and pressed blades to your backs, forcing you to walk ahead, leading you somewhere. Your heart was trying to leap from your chest, but you took deep breaths as you tried to keep a level head.
You could still smell the rot that revolved around Beta and it made your stomach churn. You were forced to walk behind Yumiko whose hands were moving. In the moonlight, you could make out some of the shapes and realized she was signing.
“Stay calm,” she was signing over and over again. You were very grateful then that you knew ASL well enough to understand her.
You walked for a bit longer before you reached a clearing and suddenly, you were seven years younger. You half expected for headlights to light up the surrounding area. Daryl and Michonne must have felt it too as they were tense as well.
However, this time, Negan would not be there to just kill two of you. Beta could slaughter all of you for no reason and then turn his sights on Kingdom, Alexandria, and then Hilltop and Oceanside. This was it, you thought, you were going to die.
The Whisperers pushed you into a semicircle, making sure your hands were still secured. You were between Daryl and Michonne and tried to focus on their breathing, but it was difficult. Even if they were thinking of an escape plan, nobody could voice it and nobody was coming to save you.
From the darkness, Alpha finally made herself known. She crept through the night like a predator stalking her prey. Expect, Alpha didn’t kill for food, she killed for sport.
“You ain’t getting her back,” Daryl said, facing down the Matron of the pack.
“You think this is about my daughter?” Alpha asked, tilting her head. “I ran into some trouble on the road,” she said, wiping blood from the knife in her hands on her pants. You struggled against your bonds, wanting to rip her eyes out with your nails. “It was unavoidable.”
“Bullshit,” you shot, but Alpha ignored you.
“Do you like my new camp?” she asked. “My people like to keep moving, keep roaming.”
“We’ve granted Lydia asylum,” you said. “You try to take her and we will fight back.”
“What is your name?” Alpha asked, stopping in front of you.
“...(Y/N),” you said.
“Do they speak for you?” Alpha asked the others.
“We speak for each other,” Daryl countered. Alpha sniffed, unaffected by Daryl’s attempt at camaraderie. Instead, she continued to pace in front of the five of you.
“My daughter isn’t a concern anymore. She was weak, she never lived up to expectations.”
“Was?” you asked as the worst-case scenario entered your mind. “What did you do to her!” Still, Alpha ignored you.
“To be clear,” she said, “your group is in no position to threaten me. That is a habit that needs to be broken.”
“Oh, I’ll break something,” you threatened and Alpha merely smiled at you as if you were some child she was humoring. Turning her attention back to Daryl she pointed at him.
“Come with me,” Alpha said. “Just you.” Beta cut Daryl’s bonds and then pushed him forward. You struggled to go after him, but you couldn’t move.
Daryl glanced back at you once more before following Alpha into the darkness of the trees.
-------
Daryl was gone for a while, and with every minute that ticked by, you grew more fearful that his body was somewhere being torn apart by the Dead.
You, Michonne, Carol, and Yumiko were sitting together by a fallen tree as you waited to be released. Beta was across from the four of you, watching the woods, waiting for his orders.
You began to think about Rick. What would he do right now? What would he say? You also began to think about the conversation you had once had with Negan about evil and humanity.
Alpha and Beta were evil and there was no doubt about it. Evil was around you and you could not find a shred of light to hold onto. Rick had wanted to build a new world, but if this is what it was going to look like, you didn’t want it.
“This is not how I’m dying,” you whispered.
“Nobody is going to die,” Michonne said. “I don’t think Alpha wants to kill us.”
“She said ‘no one else had to die’, meaning she already killed those Hilltop people and now she’s going to keep going. With us.”
“Just try to stay calm.”
“This is me calm. I’m calm and I’m pissed.”
“We’re going to get out of this,” Carol said who hadn’t taken her eyes off of Beta since she sat down.
“I left too much shit unfinished,” you admitted, unable to stop yourself.
“I know,” Michonne said and there was a bit of pity in the tone of her voice. “You know, I actually wish for his psycho ass right about now,” Michonne said and you couldn’t argue with that.
“Don’t we all,” you agreed.
“Who?” Carol asked and Michonne hesitated, but you just shrugged.
“Negan,” Michonne said.
“Who’s that?” Yumiko asked.
“Asshole who we have locked up back home,” said Michonne.
“You think he could take on Beta?” Carol asked, but you shook your head.
“I don’t think a bulldozer could take on Beta,” you said with a glare in the man’s direction.
“Negan would be a good distraction,” Michonne figured and then stopped speaking as she saw the look in your eyes. “Or not.” Carol looked at you in confusion.
You couldn’t imagine Negan going up against someone like Beta. Everyone you had seen him fight, he had been the bigger one. He had been the one in charge and the one with the edge. Negan fighting Beta would have been like a Mustang charging a Semi Truck. That was not something you wanted to see.
“Am I missing something?” Carol asked.
“No,” you and Michonne said at the same time. Carol narrowed her eyes but didn’t push it any further. Instead, you all sat there in silence as you waited for the fate you were sure you were about to meet.
You didn’t know how much time had passed when the sun began to rise again. Nobody spoke and nobody moved as the Whisperers began to disperse. Beta then gestured to you and your companions.
Slowly, his people approached and cut your bonds. Nobody dared to move as Beta watched over you. He then ordered his people to hand back your weapons.
“Go West,” he sneered. “You’ll find your man.”
“Come on,” Michonne said, moving Carol in front of her as Yumiko followed. You hesitated, glaring at Beta who leveled his knife at you in something that felt like a promise. Almost as if he was saying that the next time he saw you, he was going to kill you. In your mind, you made the same promise.
The sun rose quickly as you hiked through the woods, following Beta’s orders. “Something feels wrong,” you said as you fastened your sword to your side. Carol was holding Daryl’s bow and blades as you walked.
“We got out, that’s all that matters,” Michonne said, but you had a feeling something was very wrong.
It didn’t take long for you to find Daryl.
He seemed unharmed, but you could tell he was angry. Carol reached him first, handing him his bow and kissing him on the cheek. Michonne hugged him too and Yumiko clapped him on the shoulder. When he reached you, you hugged him tightly.
“I thought she was going to kill you,” you said.
“Nah, not yet,” he said and then nodded his head in another direction. “This way.”
You all followed Daryl who seemed to be on a mission. Whatever Alpha had told him had him set on a path and you were willing to go with him no matter what.
You walked until the sun was finally above you and then, Daryl picked up his speed. “Daryl?” you called, but he just kept running. Eventually, you saw what he was running towards. “Oh my god.”
“Siddiq!” Michonne yelled as she ran up the hill towards the Doctor who was leaning against a dead tree and behind him, was another.
“Enid!” you yelled as you saw her struggling as well. You slid to her side, using one of Daryl’s knife that he tossed to you to cut her bonds. As soon as she was free, she nearly crawled to you, gripping you tight. Enid was shaking and so was Siddiq who held onto Michonne. “Shh, it’s okay,” you assured her.
“What happened?” Michonne asked, but both of them could barely speak.
“I… I…,” Siddiq stuttered out as Enid pointed up the hill with tears in her eyes. Slowly, you pulled Enid into you and began the trek up the hill.
“No…” you whispered in horror as you saw what was ahead. It was too far to make out details, but the smell of fresh and Dead blood wafted towards you. Enid was trembling in your arms as tears fell down her face.
Nobody spoke as you crested the hill, but nobody needed to as you got closer. As soon as it became apparent what was before you, Yumiko fell to her knees and Michonne gasped in pain.
At the top of the hill were nine pikes and on each one, was the head of someone you knew.
You started at the beginning, your bones as cold as ice as milky white eyes stared at you. They hadn’t killed the brain and as you looked at the first pike, Ozzy, the Highway Man, was staring at you with vacant eyes and a gaping mouth. Next to him was Alek, and then, DJ.
Your heart sank as you saw who was next. Frankie, one of Negan’s former wives and a spitfire of a woman. Her red hair blew in the wind as blood and gore dripped from the flesh at the base of her severed neck.
Tammy was next and Enid cried harder as she saw the older woman. A woman you knew who had taken care of Enid at Hilltop. You struggled to keep the young woman upright, but it was difficult as you nearly collapsed when you saw the next two.
Rodney and Addy.
The teens that you knew from Hilltop were gasping with their breathless mouths as their gray skin dulled in the sunlight, but who was next made you crash to the ground.
“No!” you screamed as you saw Tara’s dark hair blowing in the wind.
Enid fell next to you as the woman who she saw as a sister stared at her with empty eyes. Sobs echoed out of you as you stared at her, but that wasn’t compared to Daryl who immediately began yelling.
“No, No!” he yelled as he ran for Carol “Just look at me, just look at me,” he said as he held onto his best friend. That’s when you finally looked at the final pike and everything around you broke.
It was Henry.
Enid was leaning all of her weight onto you just as Siddiq was doing to Michonne. Carol had fallen into Daryl and Yumiko was crying as she beheld the horror.
Alpha had done this. She had taken these people from you, but left two alive as witnesses. She had killed children, friends, leaders, and left you feeling empty.
You had been through so much, lost so much, and, yet this felt as if someone had torn your soul from your body. As the wind continued to blow, all you could hear were Enid’s screams and Carol’s sobs as yet another child was stolen from her.
---------
“We were there,” Siddiq began as he stood on the stage in The Kingdom.
You stood next to Daryl and Lydia was in front of you both as you listened. Enid was across from you in the protective arms of Alden who hadn’t let her go since you returned.
“Enid and I were taken with the others. And I saw... We were supposed to die with them and I was ready to.” Siddiq went on, speaking for both him and Enid considering she could barely say a word. Aaron was sure she was in shock.
Siddiq went on, “Then, Alpha whispered in our faces as she knelt before us, ‘Tell them’, she said… she then said that two sets of eyes were better than one. Then, something hit me, and everything went black.”
Lydia leaned back into you and you gripped her tight. You noticed that Daryl was holding onto the other side of her. You knew that you needed to protect her now more than ever.
“And when I woke up, it was just the two of us,” Siddiq said with a look to Enid who stared back with red-rimmed eyes. “What happened was evil. It was evil. And I think she left us alive to tell you that story. To scare you and to drive us all apart again. But I want to tell you a different story.” Siddiq then looked at you and you could see that he was struggling. You gave him a nod of encouragement.
“See,” he went on, “before the end... Ozzy, Alek, and DJ found us and they gave us an opening. And everyone fought back. They fought like hell. And what they did was more than brave. 'Cause they defended each other. And they sacrificed for each other... And some of them... they didn't even know each other, but they still fought like they did. Like they were family. 'Till the very end.”
Tears were flowing from his eyes and your own, but you tried to put on a brave face for him, for Enid.
“And in the end, they... Their time was cut short, but ours keeps going. So we have to keep going. For them and for all of us. We need to honor them. We need to honor them, and we need to remember these friends, our family, died as heroes. That's the story that I want to tell you. That's the story that I want us all to remember.”
In the quiet of the fair as Ezekiel and Carol cried in silence, you swore that you would remember and when it came down to it, you would avenge them.
—————
Once the pikes were taken care of and the tears stopped, for the time being, people began to move out.
However, as winter moved in, The Kingdom was no longer capable to house the members of the community. They would need to move and Michonne was going to stay to help them do that.
While you wanted nothing more to help, you needed to be somewhere else, with someone else. As you stood by the main building of The Kingdom’s square, Michonne approached you.
“There’s a storm coming,” she said quietly, her voice a bit hoarse from crying. You were sure that yours sounded the same.
“I know.”
“We need to move these people to Hilltop and Alexandria,” she said and you nodded in agreement. “(Y/N),” she said, “can you get her home, please?”
Turning to look at her, you were surprised to hear the desperation in her tone. “Michonne?” you asked.
“Please, get Judith home and protect her. Protect my daughter,” she said, once again on the verge of tears. You pulled her into your arms and clutched at your friend. You hadn’t been the closest with Michonne since she arrived at the gates of the prison, but you had a feeling that was about to change.
When you pulled back, you held her by the shoulders and looked her in the eyes. “I will,” you said. “I will protect her with my life.”
“They were brave,” Michonne whispered and you knew who she meant.
“Yes, they were,” you agreed. “And we will not let their deaths be in vain.” Michonne nodded, gripping your arms.
“Go to him,” she said.
“Michonne…”
“No, you listen to me,” she said as it was her turn to be serious. “I do not care what people think about him. Don’t worry about that. He could have lost you and as much as I have my demons when it comes to Negan, you have to go. Trust me when I say that Death does not discriminate when it comes to the man someone loves. Even if that man is...unconventional.”
“But…”
“No,” she cut you off. “Take Judith and go home. Stop overthinking it, (Y/N). You said you had left things unfinished, right?”
“Right.”
“Then, finish them.”
—————-
The ride to Alexandria was very different than the departure.
You rode on a horse alongside the carriage that held Gabriel, Aaron, Gracie, Judith, Eugene, and others. Nobody spoke and nobody relaxed until the comforting gates of Alexandria were in view.
For the kids’ sake you put on a brave face, but as soon as your horse came to a stop and the gates slid closed, you could barely keep it together. “Scott!” you called as you dismounted. He ran up to you as you helped Judith down from the makeshift carriage. “Take her,” you begged the man. He nodded as he gathered his bag. You then turned to Judith. “You need to go to your brother,” you said.
“What?” she asked.
“Go find RJ and give him the biggest hug he can handle, okay?” Judith nodded at your words.
“Are you going to be okay?”
“Not for a while,” you admitted, and then she was wrapping her small arms around you and you let a tear slide down your cheek. “I’m going to come over later and we’ll have dinner, okay?”
“Okay,” she whispered and with a final squeeze, you let her go as she ran after Scott who was waiting for her. Ignoring Aaron, Eugene, and the others, you turned your back on the stables and began to run.
You didn’t slow as you ran towards the main street. Your boots slid on the slick spots of ice that littered the ground, but you kept going. Stopping before the Grimes house, you searched your pockets for your key ring.
You couldn’t get your hands to stop shaking as you found the right one and jogged down the steps towards the jail. Slipping the key in the lock, you shoved the door open.
The loud noise alerted Negan to your presence. He was laying on his cot, but when he saw the tears that flowed down your cheeks and coated your collar, he launched to his feet.
“(Y/N)?” he asked, staring at you in shock. You kept moving, switching the key on the ring and inserting it into the lock of the cell itself. You wrenched it open and faced him, taking him all in. “What happened?” he asked, staring at you with concern.
You didn’t answer him right away. Instead, you took your time to memorize his face, the set of his jaw, how his shoulders were settled on his torso, and especially that wonderful light that was in his eyes. You choked back another sob as you moved into his space.
“(Y/N)?” Negan asked you again. Reaching up, you placed your hands on his face, feeling the warmth of life beneath his skin. With a deep breath, you got your voice back.
“Don’t make me lose you, too,” you whispered and then, you gripped him by the back of his neck and pulled his lips to yours.
Negan immediately wrapped his arms around you, holding you closer to him as he kissed you back without hesitation. It was as if a dam broke inside you as light burst behind your eyes. Negan kissed you tenderly, but it was full of urgency as well.
Pulling yourself tighter against him, you were worried that he would be pulled away at any moment. He didn’t seem to be ready to let go either as he lifted you up, tilting his head back to get a better angle.
Your tears dripped down onto his face, wetting the stubble on his jaw, but he didn’t care. Negan didn’t care about anything else at that moment. All he cared about was you in his arms as he finally got to show much you meant to him.
When you pulled back to get some air, he set you down. Negan looked at you in awe and while you knew you had to explain what had happened, there was something you had to say first. Something that you had felt for a long time.
“I love you, Negan,” you said, your voice soft as it mingled with his own breath. He looked in your eyes and you watched as the words resonated with him. His eyes grew softer and all the tension in his body dissolved. Negan reached up and placed his hand against your face.
“I love you, too,” he said and then pulled your lips back to his.
You clutched at the man in your arms, your new reason for living. You knew that war was finally coming and that Death was not done with any of you yet, but in that small cell, in the arms of the man you loved, you let it all become whispers on the wind as the first snowflakes began to fall.

“Uh, watcha doin’ there, detective?”
Sonny’s voice immediately brought you back down to earth. Your head bolted upright and you sprang away from Barba like he was suddenly on fire.
“What? Oh, nothing. What? You know I’m just, tired, you know-- long day,”
Words spilled out of your mouth quicker than you could think of them. God how embarrassing! Why would you even think of making a move on your ADA? In front of everyone?!
Was it a move though? I mean really. Did he have to just call it out like that? You had to get out of that booth.
“Y’know what actually I am going to run to the ladies room, that Hurricane really went right through me! Like a hurricane!” Again, the word vomit would not stop. You let out a pained awkward laugh and bolted from the table.
--
“REALLY, Caris?” Rafael gave Carisi a look that could kill him right there in the booth.
“What? I just---OW! Amanda, that hurt!” Sonny rubbed his thigh and looked at Amanda who was shaking her head.
--
Meanwhile, in the bathroom, you were beating yourself up in the mirror.
“What is WRONG with you?!”
You were yelling at your reflection, totally normal.
“Ugh…” you sighed, splashing water on your face and cupping your hands around your neck. You needed to wash this day OFF already.
Wait...that gave you an idea.
You peeked out of the bathroom to see everyone still at your table, so while they weren’t paying attention you made a mad dash out of the bar and to your car in the parking lot. You popped your trunk and began throwing things around.
“Please please please please…” You begged no one in particular, shoving empty water bottles and coupons onto the pavement.
“A ha! Yes!” you exclaimed in triumph.
You would never admit it, but you basically lived in your car sometimes. You probably had half your closet in here.
You pulled out a pair of hip hugger jeans and a t-shirt; your lucky t-shirt, to be precise.
Yes maybe it was stupid to have “lucky” items at your age, but you didn’t care. You and this t-shirt had been through some STUFF, and came out the other side together. If anything could turn this night around, it could. Sure it was a TAD too tight from so many washes, the writing on it was barely visible, and it may have had a tear or two, but you had altered it to make the damage look fashionable. At least, you thought so.
You knelt behind your car, trying to change discreetly. You kept a careful watch out, God knows the squad did NOT need another case right now. You tossed your blazer and dress shirt back into the trunk, slipped off your skirt and pulled on the jeans and t-shirt as quickly as you could, then you slammed the trunk shut and walked over to the driver’s side view mirror.
“Not bad; not bad at all detective,” you smirked at your reflection before locking your car and running back inside.
As you approached your table, you saw Barba notice you, and then NOTICE, you. His eyes grew and his mouth slightly opened. Okay so maybe sometimes you went a little overboard on trying to look “professional” around your squad-- this was probably the first time you even alluded to having chesticles.
“I’m sorry sweetie have you seen our co-worker?” Amanda asked jokingly.
“What? I needed to get this day off of me, you know?”
“Yes, off indeed,” Oliva raised her eyebrows.
“What is it too much? Should I change back?”
“NO” All three men responded in unison, then quickly looked around elsewhere like nothing happened.
“You’re fine,” Fin assured you.
“Yes you are,” Carisi blurted.
“REALLY Carisi?!” Barba almost slapped him across the table.
“What? I didn’t mean it like--” Sonny protested while pleading with a very offended Amanda. They started having their own little squabble as Barba scooted closer to you.
“You really do look nice,” He smiled.
“...In jeans and a t-shirt? Thanks,” You gave a smile back while you felt your face blushing.
“No, I mean, happier. I like seeing happy on you,” He smiled even more, fidgeting like he wanted to touch you but didn’t want foghorn Sonny going off again.
“OH. Um, yeah thanks. I like seeing you happy too, counselor,”  Your face was a full on skillet, you could fry an egg on them from the heat they radiated. You had to look anywhere else but his eyes or you might do something Carisi would DEFINITELY have something to say about.
“Ooooh! You know what else I do when I wanna get the taste of a bad day out of my mouth?” You changed the subject lightening quick as soon as you saw the stage across the room.
“Shots?” Amanda asked.
“Well, yeah obviously but--”
“AMBER did you hear that? Another round of shots!”
“DANCE,” you completely ignored Amanda’s antics. “I dance it out!” You pointed over to a small band who was testing sound equipment, obviously about to start a show.
“...Is she serious?” Fin muttered to Olivia.
“Is she drunk off ONE Hurricane?” Carisi raised his eyebrow.
“No come on-- Ugh! You guys cannot be that old.” you groaned.
“We might be,” Olivia half laughed.
“Too old to dance?!” You scoffed.
“In a room full of people, to country music? I don’t even have to be old to not wanna do that honey,” Fin put his hands up.
As they were all expressing their objections and insults, a scheme began running through your brain. Your eyes went from the band--- 2 guitarists, a drummer and a girl lead singer-- perfect. Your eyes then turned back towards Barba, who actually hadn’t protested your dance it out idea. PERFECT.
“Well I’m not old yet, I’m gonna dance it out to Tay Tay Swift!” You stuck your tongue out at the group and ran over to the band. The squad exchanged looks of disbelief while they watched you have a conversation with the band, and soon came running back over.
“Alright hey ya’ll we are Cactus Flower, how we feelin tonight?”
Scattered applause and drunken cheers answered her.
“Great...well, for our first song we’ve actually got a request, so this one is for you detective,” she smiled as the music started
It was relatively slow, so a few couples slowly began congregating on the dance floor. Other young girls squealed and formed a dance circle in a corner. Alright, it’s now or never, detective.
You started off dancing by yourself, just vibing to the song. You eyed everyone in your party, daring them to join you.
The way you move is like a full on rainstorm
And I'm a house of cards
You're the kind of reckless
That should send me running
But I kinda know that I won't get far
“Oh come on guys, you’re really gonna make me stand here looking like a moron?”
And you stood there in front of me
Just close enough to touch
Close enough to hope you couldn't see
What I was thinking of
“Baby girl, you're doin that all on your own!” Finn laughed.
You saw the thoughts mulling in Barba’s mind, glancing from you to the group and back to you again. Finally, to your delight, he shook his head and stood up.
Drop everything now
Meet me in the pouring rain
Kiss me on the sidewalk
Take away the pain
'Cause I see sparks fly
Whenever you smile
“You guys are cruel,” He remarked, walking right up to you.
“Can I have this dance?”
PERFECT.
He took your hand and spun you, you clumsily fell into his chest and looked into his eyes with a smile JUST as the song hit your target.
You glanced over to see the squad’s collective jaws on the floor.
Get me with those green eyes
Baby, as the lights go down
Give me something that'll haunt me
When you're not around
'Cause I see sparks fly
Whenever you smile
“....You know, my eyes are green.” he raised an eyebrow.
“Really? Huh. Go figure,” you batted your eyes innocently.
You were downright shocked that Rafael had not run screaming from the very obvious message of the song, and even more shocked the squad was allowing it. But you were not tempting anybody or anything by questioning it; you were just going to enjoy this dance, this moment.
My mind forgets to remind me
You're a bad idea
You touch me once and it's really something
You find I'm even better than you imagined I would be
I'm on my guard for the rest of the world
But with you I know it's no good
And I could wait patiently but
I really wish you would
You both continued to dance in silence, Rafael now listening very intently to every word of the song, and grinning more and more as it went on.
Drop everything now
Meet me in the pouring rain
Kiss me on the sidewalk
Take away the pain
'Cause I see sparks fly
Whenever you smile
Rafael spun you around in a big dramatic flourish, as he commented “I do have a gorgeous smile, don’t I?”
Get me with those green eyes
Baby, as the lights go down
Give me something that'll haunt me
When you're not around
'Cause I see sparks fly
Whenever you smile
“What? Hm? Can’t hear you,” You pretended you were too far away, then smirked when you twirled back into his torso.
“Mmmhmm,”
The song reached it’s interlude, the beat banging every word emphatically. Rafael pulled your arms up around his neck, just as the last chorus went into the soft breakdown.
I run my fingers through your hair
And watch the lights go wild
Just keep on keeping your eyes on me
It's just wrong enough to make it feel right
And lead me up the staircase
Won't you whisper soft and slow?
I'm captivated by you, baby, like a firework show
You looked into those green eyes, your head swimming. 24 hours ago this man was just your co-worker, a coffee snob ADA. And now, you were both in each other’s arms and staring at each other’s lips-- you closed your eyes as the song played.
Drop everything now
Meet me in the pouring rain
Kiss me on the sidewalk
“I um, I’m really sorry Y/N. I um...I need to go. To the...bathroom. I’m sorry just...I’m sorry,”
Take away the pain
'Cause I see sparks fly
Whenever you smile….
You watch Rafael practically bolt off the dance floor and into the men’s room as you stood there alone while the song finished.
Get me with those green eyes
Baby, as the lights go down
Give me something that'll haunt me
When you're not around
'Cause I see sparks fly
Whenever you smile
What had just happened?
