About Bakugou, its become exceedingly clear that some of you don’t understand jack shit about abuse, abuse cycles, the “gifted kid” issue, OR psychology.

Lets talk.

Yes it IS made explicit in the anime and manga for BNHA that Bakugou is abused by his mother. The POINT is that unlike Todoroki, BAKUGOU DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THAT BEHAVIOUR AS ABNORMAL.

Want proof of Mitsuki’s abuse?

Heres a link to the exact scene where Mitsuki tells Bakugou that he’s weak and that he caused everyone trouble by being kidnapped by the league (which by the way, is in no way his fault. The teachers failed to protect him try as they might have to keep him safe.)

Note that in Deku v. Kacchan 2 Bakugou states this:

It was wrong of Mitsuki to degrade him that way, despite the world telling him he’s incredible. Having parental encouragement means more than to have a kindergarten teacher or childhood best friends encouragement. Parents are meant to help you through the trials life offers, not kick you when your down.

Also in the scene I linked above Mitsuki hits Bakugou, and in season 4 during the remedial course arch Bakugou says this:

A clear indication that when Mitsuki hit him in the scene we saw it was not the first and likely not the worst of what she’s done to Bakugou. He wholeheartedly believes that when something is hard to deal with violence is the answer. Keep in mind that he was also referring to GETTING ROUGH WITH KINDERGARTEN CHILDREN. Also Todoroki telling him thats wrong says a lot since some of you will recognize his abuse but not Bakugous.

Also MANY ABUSED KIDS TAKE OUT THEIR UNEXPRESSABLE FEELINGS ON THOSE THEY VIEW AS WEAKER.

Abuse isnt one size, its got a million varients. Bakugou is a character that doesn’t recognize his upbringing as being unusual or abusive which is why we don’t get dramatic flashbacks. Todoroki recognizes his violent upbringing as abusive and thats why we do get flashbacks of HIS upbringing.

About Bakugou being told he’s perfect- YES HE WAS and thats part of the issue. Theres an ENORMOUS amount of pressure in being “gifted” thats why so many people burn out, or die as a result of overworking. Bakugou has a complex that he has felt the need to protect since he was little. Because people have told him he’s smart and talented and gifted and perfect he fears losing that AND HE ALSO DOESNT KNOW HOW TO OPEN HIMSELF UP TO PEOPLE.

Does his trauma excuse his actions towards Deku or anyone else? NO. Does he need therapy and the chance to develop and cope with his trauma and feelings? YES.

Also if you try to argue with me about racial trauma in children I will go off. It is in no way good or right for anyone of ANY skin colour to hit and berate their children. If you think thats normal and can’t wait to have a kid of your own to treat that way, you don’t need kids you need therapy. Intergenerational racial trauma is real and as much as you want to ignore it it’s there.

Distances Plot Pre-Draft

I thought you might find it funny to read the pre-draft for Distances. Basically, it’s plot points, dialogue bits, and notes to self. It’s step 2 of my writing process (which I can write about if you’re interested, let me know) I literally just copy-pasted it in so it has all the typos all the weird stuff, and the old order (I ended up changing a fair amount of stuff as I was writing) I knew it would end up being a longer fic than I had intended (I was aiming for about 7,000?) because just the plot is over 2,000 words long lol

Akaashi CK bokuaka with background iwaoi and maybe matsuhana

Bokuto is at a resort in Hawaii with the Japanese Volleyball team following a difficult training camp Akaashi is the drop dead gorgeous guy that Bokuto gets a huge crush on They find out they live relatively close to each other back in Japan The volleyball team gets on Bokuto's case, particularly Oikawa but that's because he's deflecting

DAY 1 OF 8

Akaashi's stay is 2 weeks long, it's the beginning of his second week when the volleyball team arrives for their 1 week vacation (that Oikawa surprise booked for them as team captain) Bokuto first sees him at the beach when the team is at the beach bar after unpacking their suitcases He can't say shit, he just openly stares. Akaashi probably sees him but doesn't really think about it or make it obvious. Oikawa teases Bokuto plenty. He doesn't see him for the rest of the day

DAY 2 OF 8

Next he sees him at the pool. Akaashi is an excellent swimmer. Insert classic ladder scene at the foot of Bokuto's chair. He shakes his hair and some of the water lands on Bokuto and he mutters a quiet sorry before walking away and Bokuto is like. Oh. I. I gotta. I have to say something (but he cant yet lol) He pesters a few people around him and someone from the team gives him a line in spanish and like. they're in hawaii and he's p sure akaashi's shirt label was in Japanese but he's not creepy, okay? He's gonna make this work!

DAY 3 OF 8

They finally talk at breakfast the next day, Bokuto is a super early riser so he's usually the first one there but some guys from the team wanted to go for a run around the resort so he's there at more normal human hours today and there! he! is! Bokuto gets to use his line. Akaashi is flattered (he goes to resorts every year, knows a lil bit of spanish for it) They are at the breakfast buffet on either side of it, bond over a love of breakfast meats, share tips. Bokuto gets called over by his team who cant see that he's finally talking to his crush. Bokuto quickly says  'lets meet on the beach later!!' Akaashi smiles a small but powerful!! smile and goes with his plate to sit outside. Bokuto takes that as a yes, has to like fan himself for a minute before sitting with the team and telling them everything.

Akaashi goes to the beach, gets a drink and wanders around. He walks with his feet in the water away from the resort, and walks back when he realizes Bokuto won't be in that direction. Upon his return, he sees a group at the volleyball net, Bokuto included. He walks over calmly. They take off their overshirts to reveal matching volleyball jerseys for the Japanese national team (because theyre fuckin extra like that, and a few of them think it'll help them score. It probably does tbh) They want to play 6 on 6 but they're missing a setter (the entire team isnt here, just the people who wanted to come. People like Kageyama and Ushijima stayed behind to practice more, thinking this trip was a waste of time)

Makki is about to volunteer to do it when Akaashi (who approached without any of them noticing) speaks up. 'I'm a setter' or 'I can set' Bokuto is over the moon!!! The team is trying to be good about it but they clearly have doubts. They basically divide the team in who wants to be set to by Oikawa and who wants the challenge of someone they think won't be very good. (so like Yaku is playing as a wing spiker on Akaashi's side even though he's the libero because otherwise they'll still be one person short) They divide into shirts/skins and Bokuto wants to volunteer their side for skins because ulterior motives, but he's halfway through his exclamation and the other side is already stripped. They're doing this to make sure Akaashi is comfortable but Akaashi kind of just rolls his eyes (unseen by anyone but Bokuto, which signals to Bokuto that Akaashi is comfortable with his body, which is a good thing for Bokuto to know)

So of course Akaashi sets brilliantly. The surprise factor for the other side, along with how great Bokuto and Akaashi suddenly work together, is enough to make them win a set, and by then the other side is already getting a sunburn so they stop. Oikawa marches to the net and demands to know Akaashi's play history. Akaashi calmly states that he played for Shinzen and Bokuto went to Fukurodani? They're very impressed because it's hard to set for so many synchronized attacks. Akaashi is in the team's inner circle now basically. They invite him to join them for supper (to help Bokuto and his massive crush out especially)

Subplot Time!!

So far Oikawa has seemed pretty distracted except for when they were playing volleyball. He keeps looking around like he's searching for something or someone and it's driving the team nuts, more so than Bokuto's crushing. They finally corner him after he takes even longer than usual getting ready for supper. It turns out that Iwaizumi his childhood friend works at the resort and he's been trying to find him so they could be reunited! They talk on facebook back in Japan but Oikawa has his phone on airplane mode so he hasn't been able to contact him this whole time and he forgot to ask in what department Iwaizumi works, etc.  He tells them to go on without him.

They all show up for supper looking pretty spiffy. Akaashi is already there ofc looking amazing. Fem-cut shirt, pants that look sort of like a skirt, all in black, very androgynous. Bokuto is possibly even more taken? They have a nice night with the team. Oikawa shows up late but with Iwaizumi in tow, causing a great ruckus. They all drink and laugh and have way too much to eat and most of the team goes dancing after but Bokuto only has eyes for Akaashi so they split from the group and head off to one of the bars on the resort to keep chatting.

They walk on the beach back to Akaashi's room. He invites Bokuto in. They do it with the lights on, very romantic. Akaashi is still stuffed, Bokuto too tbh. Akaashi is totally the type to have brought a toy in his suitcase so he is already ready for Bokuto from the night before while Bokuto litterally jamed 3 boxes of condoms in his suitcase and has a handful of fresh ones in his pocket lol Akaashi: did you think you'd get with lots of people? Bokuto, blushing probably: I only want to get with you tho (this is super cheesy but probably still totally happens lol) They're not even tipsy, they never were actually drunk, there is very clear consent (tag it enthusiastic consent)

DAY 4 OF 8

The next morning, they have sex again. V nice, all soft, glowing in the sunrise (leave me alone) Bokuto lost his shirt somewhere between the bar and the room (he finds it later with the team, it's hilarious) so he borrows one of Akaashi's. (also later, Akaashi tries on the national jersey and looks great in it, it fits like a crop top)

They hang out with the team, Akaashi makes friends, the iwaoi subplot continues in the background. They play pool games. Akaashi doesnt think Bokuto can lift him on his shoulders but he totally can, although they get toppled almost immediately. They go dancing with the team and Iwaizumi that night. OFC Akaashi can dance really well lol Iwaizumi attemps to infuse Oikawa with some semblance of rhythm. Some spotlight on the few straight players lol Halfway through, Mattsun shows up, he's working at the discotheque that night. Makki: *lands eyes on him* *mouth hangs open as Mattsun walks away* *to iwaizumi* Is he?? Can I?? *wild hand motions*Iwaizumi: nods, laughs out a yeah as Makki rushes in Mattsun's direction, disappearing in the crowd. Akaashi walks with the group until they get to his building and he kisses Bokuto goodbye. Bokuto is too smitten to mind that they won't sleep together.

DAY 5 OF 8

Akaashi is a little bit like a cat and at first Bokuto is dejected about it, but the team pulls him out of it. He's worried he won't see him again now that they've had sex but it's not the impression he had of Akaashi. They can't text because of their phone plans and he looks around for him but can't find him. They meet up around supper and it turns out that Akaashi was at the spa all day. He really is sorry for forgetting to tell Bokuto about it the day before. They have supper separately from everyone else and talk about personal habits and needs and it goes really well. Bokuto invites him up to his room then remembers that it's a mess, but it doesn't matter. (this is when Akaashi tries on the jersey)

DAY 6 OF 8

This is the last day of any vacation that truly feels like a vacation tbh

It's the time where everyone thinks ok, what's the things I said I would do that I haven't done yet? They probably go on a fieldtrip, Akaashi to a local art place or something, they venture off-resort.

DAY 7 OF 8

It's Saturday, Iwaizumi has the day off, this is the peak of the iwaoi subplot. Deal with the MatsuHana subplot too, maybe. Start thinking about the return, about volleyball, about the rest of the team in Japan. Bokuto and Akaashi spend some time together, some time apart. Bokuto gets an earful of the iwaoi subplot from Oikawa. Maybe gives advice? Who knows.

This is also the day to insert sunset sex on the beach lol Akaashi is still mostly clothed. They almost get spotted but it's dusk, theyre backlit and the guard thinks it's just a rock or something. They lay there really still and burd out laughing once he walks away.

DAY 8 OF 8

The day goes as a last day goes, last swim, getting ready, having to leave the room, waiting with your luggage and a final drink. Akaashi is on the same bus to the airport as the team, but not the same plane seeing as he is with a different airline (definitely in first class tho) Iwaoi goodbyes, bokuaka goodbyes (exchanging numbers and addresses) Makki doesn't think Mattsun will come but it turns out he overslept, he rushes in at the last minute and lifts Makki off the ground. Bokuto and Akaashi kiss one last time before Bokuto has to cross the gate.

Flash forward to the Olympic qualifiers, Team Japan kicking ass, Akaashi cheering uncharacteristically loudly, Bokuto looking up from the court with love in his eyes. Akaashi sticking around after the win to give Bokuto a few tosses before they go celebrate with the team.

Amazon FBA courses have been all the rage lately, with lofty promises of a lucrative digital nomad lifestyle. There are hundreds of courses to choose from, but 3 stick out from the crowd. It might be due to their high price tag, or maybe its the individuals behind the course. Either way, you cant scroll through any Amazon forums with seeing these courses being discussed. So I went ahead and took all 3 of them. I didn't really intend on dong a review, I just got them so I could learn. For example, module 2, titled “suppliers and shipping” only contains 2 videos, totaling just 14minutes. To be fair, after finishing that module I felt like I knew all there was to know on suppliers and shipping and I thought “seems easy enough”, it wasnt until I actually tried contacting suppliers that I realized I was still in the dark for some aspects. Overall, tanner does a good job at teaching the material. Its very obvious that he knows what hes talking about and he instructs pretty clearly. That being said, you can tell the production and time spent editing was cut short. He doest cut out beginings or ending of the videos, and some mistakes that could be edited out are just kept in. It feels like he was just winging it for the most part and didnt have too much of the structure pre-planned. Theres even a part where he’s talking about shipping terms, and he straight up says “you can just google what they mean”. Now yes, thats fine and its common sense if you’re making any regular youtube video, but it wouldn’t be that hard for him to google it first and then provide a PDF for student resources. And finally, this might not bother you guys, but for me me it was a little annoying.. None of the videos in the course were captured in full screen. His window was always minimized, so you could see his desktop background. Again not a huge deal, but for a $500 course it just didnt float my boat. So lets get on to Kevin Davids Amazon ninja materclass. Price: $1,250 USDTotal Watch Time: 9h 50min= $2.12 / Minute So Kevin’s course is much pricier than tanners, but as you can see its still a better value per minute of actual content. He also gives you the option to buy each module separately. Now I do like the idea behind separating the modules, but it causes a little bit of overlap for someone that has the full course. What I mean by that is, in some modules, he’ll re-explain some things that he already covered in a previous module. Im sure hes doing it to cover the bases just incase someone bought the module separately, but when you’re watching them consecutively, it just leaves parts to skip. Kevin also has a little underwhelming video production for a 1200 dollar course, some videos his cam is way too big and actually blocks important information. In this clip hes talking about the display ad on the right side, but you cant even see it because its under his webcam. However other than that the visuals arent bad at all. The biggest issue I had with this course was that it wasn't totally sequential or chronological. Yes the modules are in order from product research to facebook marketing, but the content in the modules were all over the place. They werent following (for lack of a better word).. A storyline. Thats actually one thing I liked about tanners course. He starts with the lockpick set and carries on the process for that product in a good step by step order. That being said, Kevin does do long videos to end every module that kind of put the pieces together, but overall its like has all these superb bircks of information on a topic, and then it just all goes into one bucket as opposed to laying them out piece by piece. Now lets get on to what I love about kevins course. First off, and probably the most important. Its loaded to the brim with super insightful information. He goes a lot into the actual mindest or thought process behind what he does and why. And what I like even more is that he doesnt just say “you should do this or do that because im the master”. His vibe is more open ended, like “this is what I suggest you do based on all my experience, but dont blindly take my word for it” which I appreciate. The course is also very practical and inspiring, he doesnt have any fluff, and he’s a great communicator”. On his site he says its the only course you’ll ever need, and I cant say hes wrong. He goes way beyond Amazon in the later modules. Covering in depth facebook ads, instagram, getting onto blogs, and even virtual assistants. With the Ninja Masterclass I’d say the pros heavily outweigh the cons, and its the only course I really refer back to when I run into problems with my new FBA business. But before I crown the champ, I have to talk about the biggest course of them all. Amazing Selling Machine! Price: $3,500Total Watch Time: 36h 53m= $1.58 / minute Now of course I left the big fish for last. Amazing selling machine is longest running and most expensive one of the 3 of courses, and probably of all fba courses in the world. Along with the video lessons, ASM has huge events every year with tickets ranging from $400 to $750. But lets talk about the videos. With nearly 37 hours of screen time, it is definitely a lot to take in. I believe the actual course makes you watch it throughout 8 weeks, but since I just had all the video files already, I decided to binge it. Now I did not watch all the coaching calls, but I finished all the other modules. And I do have to say, compared to the other two, these videos are very dry. They provide lots of info, but they do so with text. I’d say 50-60% of the videos are taken up by this blue screen with white text. As opposed to just showing the practical stuff, they have a lot of fluff. They spend a few minutes before every video explaining everything thats going to happen instead of just diving straight into it. Now you might be thinking “well that makes it great for notes”, but they already provide all these bullet points in the form of PDFs. And thats honestly what bugged me most. Every single video had a pdf to accompany it, which is great, but the guys in the video were just reading off of it. Its line by line. Now that may be appealing to some people, but for me it was just filler. With tanner and kevin, it felt like you were learning from a friend or mentor, With mike and Rich, its more of a classroom vibe, less passion more rules. And that another thing, their rules or guidelines are very firm. Unlike kevins who i said leaves it at “this is what I suggest, based on experience”. ASM is very much “this is what you need to do to be successful. Use the ASM criteria”. With all that said, there’s still brilliant content inside. The most surprising to me was their product research, being new to FBA, I really thought that jungle scout was the only way to do solid product research. However in ASM they use DS quickview, and a method that heavily relies on a products BSR. While it seems like a little more work than using jungle scout and 999 track, I thinks good to see another perspective on product research, and its something I will add in the future just to be extra sure on my products. They are also the best when talking about having a sequential or chronological order. Its VERY beginner friendly with everything laid out nice and neat. I would even say that you could jump into the ASM course without ever using a computer before, thats how comprehensive they get with their explanations. However the one thing that separates ASM from all the rest in my opinion his how they give you actionable steps at the end of every video. Just like homework. The intention is so that you actually follow along with them as they go to ensure you get results. Of course this can be hard if you dont actually find a product after the product research module. But like I said it was designed to be dripped throughout 8 weeks, not 8 days. So what would I suggest? Well I can starting as a beginner, I feel like I definitely got my degree in FBA after all these courses. They all have a different and unique spin to them, and all of them offer their own little gold nuggets that the other doesn't. However this is just like goldilocks, One of them is too little, one of them is too much, and the other is just right. So, with all things considered, I would have to give the crown to Kevin Davids Ninja MasterClass. Its not the cheapest per minute, but its the most practical, It doesn't have the most content, but it cuts the fluff, and id say he gives the greatest perspective on incorporating amazon into your everyday lifestyle. He talks about how gets great product ideas outside of amazon by just being more observant or talking to people. And its that outside the box thinking that I think sets a good seller apart from a great one. His course actually dives deeper into the facebook and marketing side than ASM does, he could have almost sold that as a separate course. He also has the best tricks in terms of keywords and ranking. As for me, I started watching these courses last month, and today I have 3 products on the way. I can't confirm yet if the products are any good, but one of them gets in tomorrow, so we shall find out soon and update you guys once sales start coming in.

How easy is it for your character to laugh? Morrow- Has a great sense of humor but tries to hide his amusement (old habits die hard). Taronja- Meh. Depends.. Will giggle at jokes but only laughs. Viridian- Super Super Easy. Crimson- Loves to laugh.

Romantic love is butterflies in your stomach and feeling like you always need to be near the person you’re in love with. Platonic love is sitting in a circle on the floor whispering encouragements and laughing at random things. Taronja- Family is those who love you unconditionally, Romantic love gives you butterflies and makes your heart beat, Platonic love is the people you’d do anything for. Viridian- Platonic love is when your best friends protect you no matter what and when time stops and speeds up at the same time is romantic love. I don’t know what familial love is. Crimson- Familial love is how she would do anything for Taro. Romantic love is a fog in your head and a warmth in your cheeks when you’re with the person you love. Morrow- Listens and tries very hard to be interested (but that doesn’t always work…) He still supports them the best he can. Taronja- Super super excited and support. Morrow- He generally has a good memory so he doesnt need any little tricks Taronja- For classes he will put things to a tune and hum it in class quietly. Morrow- The night he had a run-in with the White Fang and got his scar Taronja- Crimson and him in their house for the first time holding hands and trying not to cry. How sensitive are they to their own flaws? (1-10) Morrow- 9. His flaws were always being pointed out as a child so he’s pretty aware of them Taronja- 6. He generally sees his flaws but not always. Viridian- 14. She sees all of her flaws and gives herself more. Crimson- 4. She has a slight perfection complex

How do they feel about children? Morrow- He does NOT like kids. At all. They don’t really like him either; they think he’s scary Taronja- He’s pretty good with kids and generally likes them Viridian- “OMG small people so cute!!” Crimson- She loves kids and wants a whole bunch

How badly do they want to reach their end goal? Morrow- Pretty badly. He desperately wants to show his family that he is good for something . Taronja- Meh. It’s best for the world to have more protectors but the only reason he’s here is to ensure a better world for Humans and Faunus. Viridian- Very. She would sacrifice a lot in order to become a huntress. One of the only things she won’t sacrifice is her friends. Crimson- She’d love to be a huntress but being a musician would be just as cool. but honestly, as long as Taro is happy and the faunus aren’t treated like garbage, she’s happy.

If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so? Morrow- I’m heterosexual, which means I like girls. Yeah. Taronja- Um. Okay so I’m Pan. No not Peter. I like everyone!!! Viridian- Hi I’m Bi. I like boys and girls! Crimson- I am demiheteroromantic and asexual. That means I only develop romantic feelings for males after I get to know them. Also it means I don’t get sexual urges and I see don’t sex as a recreational activity, it has functionality for me.

QUESTIONS FOR CREATORS Lyra created Morrow and Crimson. Jazzy created Taronja and Viridian. A) Why are you excited about this character? Lyra- Crimson is who I want to be one day and I love her relationship with Taronja. And I feel like Morrow would be a great friend to have. Jazzy- I absolutely love Taronja’s appearance and personality! He is really fun to play around with and discovering his backstory is an amazing experience. I had a lot of fun creating Viridian’s physical appearance and I based a lot of her personality on myself which was enlightening. ❤️ B) What inspired you to create them? Lyra- I really like foxes so Crim just started from there. I think Morrow is subconsciously based of my childhood friends? Jazzy- Okay so parts of Taronja’s appearance was based on my boyfriends aura and Adrien/Chat Noir, while his personality is mainly based off my favorite trope. Viridian is almost completely based off me. C) Did you have trouble figuring out where they fit in their own story?
Lyra- Their personal stories kind of developed around them so nope. Jazzy- Nope and Nope. Although Taronja was harder to speak to as he is quieter. D) Have they always had the same physical appearance, or have you had to edit how they look?
Lyra- Crimson became a little more tan so it actually looked like she’d spent time outside. But that’s a no for Morrow. Jazzy- They’ve pretty much always had the same appearance. E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?
Lyra- I would love to have friends like them and I’d hope they’d like me. (Jazzy: They would. Everyone likes you) Jazzy- Yes and I think so (more like I hope so) F) What do you feel when you think of your OC (pride, excitement, frustration, etc)?
Lyra- I feel pity for all four because they had such horrible childhoods,but under that I feel pride for Crim and Mo. Jazzy- Taro makes me feel soft happiness and ‘awws’. Viri makes me feel pride, apologetic, and giddy happiness. G) What trait of theirs bothers you the most?
