#yes someone tried to tell me that if bakugou is traumatized then so are lots of POC

You know I’m so annoyed that I’m gonna make a post:
About Bakugou, its become exceedingly clear that some of you don’t understand jack shit about abuse, abuse cycles, the “gifted kid” issue, OR psychology.
Lets talk.
Yes it IS made explicit in the anime and manga for BNHA that Bakugou is abused by his mother. The POINT is that unlike Todoroki, BAKUGOU DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THAT BEHAVIOUR AS ABNORMAL.
Want proof of Mitsuki’s abuse?
Heres a link to the exact scene where Mitsuki tells Bakugou that he’s weak and that he caused everyone trouble by being kidnapped by the league (which by the way, is in no way his fault. The teachers failed to protect him try as they might have to keep him safe.)
youtube
Note that in Deku v. Kacchan 2 Bakugou states this:
Tumblr media
What his mother said to him as an offhand comment amplified into an uncontrollable anguish inside him. Here’s some other things he said:
Tumblr media
It was wrong of Mitsuki to degrade him that way, despite the world telling him he’s incredible. Having parental encouragement means more than to have a kindergarten teacher or childhood best friends encouragement. Parents are meant to help you through the trials life offers, not kick you when your down.
Also in the scene I linked above Mitsuki hits Bakugou, and in season 4 during the remedial course arch Bakugou says this:
Tumblr media
A clear indication that when Mitsuki hit him in the scene we saw it was not the first and likely not the worst of what she’s done to Bakugou. He wholeheartedly believes that when something is hard to deal with violence is the answer. Keep in mind that he was also referring to GETTING ROUGH WITH KINDERGARTEN CHILDREN. Also Todoroki telling him thats wrong says a lot since some of you will recognize his abuse but not Bakugous.
Also MANY ABUSED KIDS TAKE OUT THEIR UNEXPRESSABLE FEELINGS ON THOSE THEY VIEW AS WEAKER.
Abuse isnt one size, its got a million varients. Bakugou is a character that doesn’t recognize his upbringing as being unusual or abusive which is why we don’t get dramatic flashbacks. Todoroki recognizes his violent upbringing as abusive and thats why we do get flashbacks of HIS upbringing.
About Bakugou being told he’s perfect- YES HE WAS and thats part of the issue. Theres an ENORMOUS amount of pressure in being “gifted” thats why so many people burn out, or die as a result of overworking. Bakugou has a complex that he has felt the need to protect since he was little. Because people have told him he’s smart and talented and gifted and perfect he fears losing that AND HE ALSO DOESNT KNOW HOW TO OPEN HIMSELF UP TO PEOPLE.
Does his trauma excuse his actions towards Deku or anyone else? NO. Does he need therapy and the chance to develop and cope with his trauma and feelings? YES.
Also if you try to argue with me about racial trauma in children I will go off. It is in no way good or right for anyone of ANY skin colour to hit and berate their children. If you think thats normal and can’t wait to have a kid of your own to treat that way, you don’t need kids you need therapy. Intergenerational racial trauma is real and as much as you want to ignore it it’s there.

MHA characters in genshin au:
What's their vision? (Based on Quirks and personality)
(sorry if I get something inaccurate, I haven't been in the MHA media for a while)
Starting with Izuku Midoriya:
Electro!
Izuku Midoriya would have Electro vision, not only because of his quirk's lightning looks.
Electros are known to be resilient people, stubborn, you might say. Izuku is shown to be resilient no matter what might happen to him. Sports festival, training, villain attacks, he's never backed away like a true hero. Even at the time when he was quirkless he still tried to protect Bakugou despite the fact that he could've died. He was resilient and didn't budge.
Electros usually find their way alone. Yes, Izuku does have back up half the time, but his main goal is to make it alone. Practically no one he's really close to knows what it was like for him and to get to the point he's always wanted he will have to do it alone in his own way.
Next is Katsuki Bakugou:
Pyro, of course!
His quirk explains enough for the main part.
Katsuki has always been a...rowdy person, more or less, but his passion to be the best defines his character so well! He tries his hardest to be the best and is ready to go through anything to do it. He is also a lot like Izuku in this way.
He has hope for not only himself but for the one's he's close to. Though he might not always show it, it's obvious that he cares. He hopes the best for everyone, except the people who try to harm the people he cares for.
Pyros are also misunderstood people who tend to come off as "evil" or "scary" when they actually mean the best for you and everyone. People tend to hate on Katsuki, in the bnha universe and in the fandom for these reasons as well, when he's actually terribly misunderstood. We're all aware of his terrible actions, and so is he, but he's trying to change as well.
And we're ending with Shoto Todoroki:
Cryo suits him best!
His quirk includes two powers, but personality-wise, Shoto is a cryo.
Cryos are usually conflicted on the inside, not truly knowing who they really are or who they're meant to be. Shoto faces, or faced this with his flames. Yes, Izuku told him to let it all out because it wasn't his father's quirk, but there will always be a part of him that will be conflicted. Is it really his quirk?
Following the previous statement, cryos are known to have one thing they truly hate and will be quick to talk against it. Shoto's hate for his father fits this description. Things might be developing within them, but it doesn't change the fact that Shoto will always be traumatized by his childhood experiences, which were almost all the time caused by his father.
One more thing is that cryos are usually seen as harsh and cold, much like how people thought Shoto to be. Inside is actually a soft boy who wants to be loved by someone, to have people truly care for him. He wants to protect people from harm and he wants acceptance. He wants not to be needed, but to be loved.
My first 3 in the genshin au are done! Now tell me, people, which three girls would you like to see in part 2?

To Be So Lonely
Pairing: Bakugou Katsuki x Midoriya Izuku
Warnings: Strong language, sexually explicit smut, violence, alpha/beta/omega dynamics, cancer sub-plot, major character death {not bakudeku}
Word Count for Chapter: 2,791
Summary: Midoriya Izuku has always wanted to be a musician. Something about the lyric working with a melody to convey his feeling just made his heart race. After his father died when he was three, Izuku has always relied on his mother. She worked two jobs to care for him and always supported his dreams. But when his mother is diagnosed with breast cancer just after he graduated high school, Izuku has to shift his focus. Now he’s working two jobs and takes care of his mother with the help of his gay neighbors.
In an attempt to learn self-defense, Izuku takes a few classes at a local gym. It’s there that he meets Toshinori Yagi, an older beta who used to be a professional heavyweight boxer. Yagi notices Izuku’s potential and encourages the small omega to eventually go pro. So, in order to make more money, Izuku eventually agrees.
Bakugou Katsuki has only ever wanted to fight. Orphaned as the young age of four, Katsuki has been fighting to live for his entire life. Fighting is all he’s ever known. After fighting underground for a couple years, Katsuki is noticed by Todoroki Enji. The older alpha takes him in at 19 and names him the official successor of his legacy (especially since all of his actual kids hate him).
Now, Katsuki is 25-years-old and the professional heavyweight champion. In a whirlwind of events, Katsuki meets Izuku in the unlikeliest of places. He watches the small omega perform and can’t help it feel extremely protective and absolutely enamored with him. The older alpha gets to meet him and say goodbye without even learning the omega’s name. Katsuki isn’t sure that they’ll ever meet again.
That is, until Katsuki officially meets Izuku at a professional lunch with his manager’s rival.
{OR}
The one where Katsuki is a professional alpha boxer with arrogance issues and Izuku is a stubborn omega that’s way little too reckless with his well-being. With a wacky cast of characters (including three idiots, a manly best friend, a traumatized bastard with daddy-issues, and many more) absolutely hell-bent on getting them together, neither men can seem to catch a break

{0.1} Sweet Like Honey
“There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.”
― Laurell K. Hamilton
K A T S U K I
“C’mon, Bakubro! Smile a little!”
Katsuki scowled even more as Kirishima dragged him towards the run-down bar. On some level, he wants to be here and have fun with his friends. On another, however, he knows that he’ll have to deal with a hangover tomorrow.
And fuck that.
The shitty bar smells vaguely of coffee and beer, as well as a mix of pheromones. It has a decent amount of people inside, but not enough to feel overwhelming.
“How did Pikachu find this shitty place?”
Kirishima gave him a look, as if he was a scolding parent. “His boyfriend actually did. It has live music and decent alcohol.”
Katsuki huffed, pulling his hood over his hair. “Who the fuck would want to court Pikachu? He’s annoyingly dumb.”
“Well, not everyone thinks that.”
Before Katsuki can argue, sweet-smelling arms wrapped around his neck.
“Blasty!! You made it!” Mina screeched, already smelling of red wine.
Katsuki growled, immediately pushing the omega off of him and towards her alpha. Kirishima caught her easily. “Don’t touch me, Raccoon Eyes! Ever hear of personal space?!”
Mina giggled, whispering loudly into Kirishima’s ear. “He’s so grumpy already.”
“I know. It’s pretty funny.”
Katsuki bristled, baring his teeth. “Fuck off, Shitty Hair!”
Kirishima chuckled, ignoring Katsuki directing them further inside. Closer to the bar was Kaminari and a purple-haired beta who obviously didn’t get enough sleep the night before.
The audacity.
Kaminari glanced their way, his face lighting up. “Bakugou! It’s nice to see that Kirishima-“
“Shut it, Dunce Face.” Katsuki grumbled lowly. “I’m just here to babysit you idiots.”
Denki shrugged, taking a shot of something that smelled suspiciously like Fireball. “Whatever you say, Bakugou. Hitoshi is already our babysitter for the night.”
The purple-haired beta blinked in Katsuki’s direction, taking a sip of his water bottle. He looked like he was silently analyzing and judging Katsuki, which immediately made the older alpha bristle.
“Calm down, Blasty.” Mina snickered, leaning against Kirishima. “You scowl too much.”
Katsuki scowled even more, watching as everyone ordered drinks.
Kirishima glanced at him, offering a sympathetic smile. “Just chill, Bakubro. Shinsou says the live music is really good!”
That’s unlikely.
“I know the performer.” Shinsou murmured, still studying Katsuki. “He’s a childhood friend.”
Katsuki ignored the insomniac troll doll and took a seat next to Kirishima. “This better be good, Shitty Hair. You know how I feel about music.”
Kirishima nodded, accepting his drink from the bartender. “Well, Jiro also speaks highly of the dude. She’s as serious about music as you are, so I’m sure he’s pretty great.”
That’s a little reassuring.
Before Katsuki could speak again, a small voice came from the stage.
And god, Katsuki’s interest immediately heightened.
A small man climbed onto a stool with a guitar in his hands. He had dazzling green eyes and a head of green curls that made him look soft. He was wearing a grey hoodie with ripped skinny jeans, making him look even cuter.
And the freckles.
Katsuki took a deep breath, immediately freezing as omegan pheromones washed over the small bar.
Chocolate and cherries.
He’s so screwed.
“Our first request of the night is called ‘Save Yourself’.” The omega murmured, his voice sweet as honey.
The small omega started strumming a dingy guitar, making it look effortless. But Katsuki knew better than to assume.
It weighs heavier on one's heart
I could tell right from the start that sweet ones are hard to come across
Well there is more than meets the eye
A heart like yours is rare to find
Someone else's gain will be my loss
“Holy shit…”
For once, Katsuki could agree with Pikachu.
Shinsou chuckled lowly, earning glances from everyone else. “I’m glad that you think he’s good. I’ve tried telling him that, but he never wants to hear it.”
“He’s adorable!” Mina squealed, almost a little too loudly.
Katsuki gave her glare, which didn’t go unnoticed by Kirishima. In fact, the red-haired alpha grinned and followed Katsuki’s gaze.
Woah, woah, oh oh
Oh woah, woah
Woah woah oh
Hey hey
Well little things that make you smile
Dancing barefoot in the dark
If only I had strength to change your mind
Oh for what you need
You will not see
Choose your words before you speak
Can you see that all you've got is time?
Katsuki couldn’t fucking breathe.
The small omega sounded soft and sure, obviously confident and lost in the song. A stray curl rested on his forehead, moving as he strummed the guitar.
Whatever it was about him, Katsuki couldn’t look away.
Woah now
Save yourself
Oh you save yourself
Oh darling save yourself for someone else
Yeah, save yourself
Oh darling save yourself
Oh won't you save yourself from someone else
Woah
Don't give in to their feelings
Don't give in darkness and faith
You should be safe, yeah, with someone else
Tell your secrets to the night
You do yours and I do mine
So we won't have to keep them all inside
Oh, for one so pure
Count these off
Let your feelings take control
Hold on to the world that he's begging for
“What’s his name?”
Shinsou looked at Kirishima, almost as if he was bored. “He’s not comfortable with me telling people. He’s a very private person.”
Mina pouted, whining slightly. “But he’s so good! Wouldn’t he want people to know his name?”
“He’s going through a lot right now.”
Katsuki glanced at Shinsou, immediately meeting the beta’s gaze. “For once, I agree with Raccoon Eyes. Private or not, he’s obviously good enough to go somewhere with a voice like that.”
The beta raised an eyebrow. “I wasn’t aware that you complimented people, Bakugou. Not everyone is a cocky boxer with arrogance issues.”
Ex-fucking-cuse me?
“At least I know how to fight, you knock-off troll doll!”
Shinsou blinked, obviously unaffected by Katsuki’s words. “Just because you’re a professional boxer doesn’t mean shit, Bakugou. If I remember correctly, you were underground once.”
Katsuki glared, scowling harshly. “Underground?”
“He’s an underground boxer, Bakubro,” Kirishima murmured, looking amused with the whole interaction. “He’s pretty good.”
Whatever.
Katsuki focused on the musician again, obviously pouting.
Woah now
Save yourself
Oh won't you save yourself
Go on and save yourself for someone else
Yes darling save yourself
Oh won't you save yourself
Go on and save yourself for someone else
Woah are you going to break?
Are you going to break?
Woah aren't you going to take me?
Yeah are you going to break?
Are you going to break?
Are you going to break?
Woah what's it going to take?
Yeah, are you going to break?
Are you going to break?
Are you going to break?
Are you going to break?
The small omega strummed the last few notes, his voice cracking slightly as the last lyrics finished. He shyly smiled at the crowd, using his bandaged hand to brush his curls out of his face.
Wait.
Bandages?
Katsuki watched with narrowed eyes as the small omega talked with the crowd, obviously trying to take more requests. Something about him was off and it made the alpha slightly suspicious.
Why does he look like that?
I Z U K U
“-and thank you for coming out! Goodnight!”
Izuku waved at the crowd as he exited the stage, his heart in his throat at the small amount of applause. His guitar felt heavy in his small hands, matching his equally heavy shoulders.
Music doesn’t have the same relief it used to.
The small omega chewed on his bottom lip anxiously as he placed his ratty guitar in it’s case. Izuku had saved up two summers worth of money to buy it, so he definitely felt more attached to it than most.
“Here’s your tips, Midoriya.”
Izuku snapped out of his daze as the female omega handed him the money, his pretty green eyes looking a bit grey. “Thanks, Jiro. I really appreciate this.”
Jiro smiled warmly, her dark eyes completely gentle as she watched him place the cash in his case. “It’s no problem, Midoriya. Tell your mom and the dads that I said hi!”
“I will!”
Izuku waved goodbye and made his way towards the exit. Hitoshi normally waited backstage to take him home, but he’s currently on a date with someone. It wasn’t like Izuku was afraid, but walking alone at night did give him some anxiety.
After all, Izuku is an omega.
In their current society, it was extremely easy for omegas to be victimized. They were completely at the mercy of outside forces, which caused a lot of weaknesses. Dominant pheromones from an alpha could completely shut them down and make them vulnerable to orders.
Alphas didn’t lack in strength like many omegas did, so they could easily overpower anyone slightly weaker than them.
While alphas experienced ruts or periods of extreme arousal, that was nothing on omegas. Omegas experience heats every month, which was a mess of fevers and the need to be knotted.
Ruts could easily be controlled and ignored.
Heats were the opposite.
If an omega was to go into heat while in public, that left them at the mercy of any alpha nearby. An alpha could take what they want, regardless of consent, and not be held liable.
So, yes.
Walking alone made Izuku slightly nervous.
As Izuku walked down the dimly-lit street, he was aware of the different smells. He could smell cigarettes and cheap perfume, all containing a mix of omega pheromones. It was slightly fruity and stale, making his stomach churn.
Don’t focus on -
“Well, well, well. What do we have here?”
Fucking fuck.
Izuku’s blood ran cold as someone yanked him backward, grabbing at the soft skin of his cheeks. “I’m just walking home. I-I have people waiting on me, so-“
Bright blue eyes locked with his.
Dabi.
Shit.
“I almost don’t recognize you without the mask, bunny.”
Izuku’s soft green eyes immediately hardened as he shoved the drunk alpha off of him. “Don’t touch me, Dabi. We both know that I can kick your ass in or out of the ring.”
Dabi growled, grabbing Izuku by the hoodie again. “It’s a shame you got such a smart mouth, bunny. I might’ve considered marking you.”
So fucking gross…
“Get fucked, Dabi.” Izuku snapped, pushing him back again.
The blue-eyed alpha huffed, causing the intense smell of alcohol to waft over the omega. “Why are you being such a frigid bitch, bunny? Sounds like someone needs a nice kn-“
Izuku pulled his arm back and punched the alpha square in the jaw.
Dabi released him and shot back, muffling a bunch of curses as he rubbed his jaw. Judging from his pheromones, he was obviously pissed off.
But then again, so was Izuku.
“You little bitch.” Dabi growled, standing at his full height.
Izuku scoffed, widening his stance and shifting into an all too familiar position. In the street light, the bandages on the omega’s fingers were much more visible than before.
The small omega clenched his jaw. “I’d stop it with the insults, Dabi. I’d hate to kick your ass again.”
Dabi lunged, but Izuku quickly ducked.
In a quick move, the small omega landed a harsh kick to the alpha’s stomach. It was a cheap move, but Izuku didn’t care.
He’s always hated pigs, anyway.
Before the small omega could move, though, Dabi growled and grabbed him by the hair. He yanked Izuku upright and shoved him towards the wall of the alley.
Shit.
Dabi chuckled lowly, placing his knee between Izuku’s legs and wrapping his hands around his throat. “You look pretty with my hands around your throat. Maybe I should-“
“What the fuck are you doing?”
The scarred alpha froze, his blue eyes flickering to the entrance. After a few seconds, Dabi immediately scowled. “Mind your business, golden boy.”
Golden boy?
Izuku struggled under Dabi’s grip, feeling slightly light-headed as the seconds continued to pass. “Le-let me-“
“Fuck off, staple-face.”
And just like that, the pressure on Izuku’s throat was gone.
Izuku coughed and gasped as his world adjusted, his green eyes landing on the mess of fighting alpha’s in front of him. The smell of cigarette ash was now accompanied by caramel and cinnamon, which shouldn’t have made his heart race.
Alphas.
Izuku inwardly scoffed, rubbing his throat as he slowly made his way towards the exit. The sooner he got home, the better.
He really doesn’t want to be yelled at by Aizawa.
“I’m sure your dad would hate to watch me kick your ass, stitches. He probably wants to do it himself!”
Izuku snickered softly, glancing back to look at the fighting match.
Dabi was completely unconscious on the ground, nearly overshadowed by the mysterious alpha. This same alpha was dressed in a black hoodie and baseball cap, which hid his face pretty well.
The small omega made a mental note to remember this when he fights Dabi next week. These nicknames were top-notch.
The alpha fixed his jacket, spinning to face Izuku.
Shit. Shit. Abort.
Izuku squeaked and turned to bolt. At this point, plenty of people were exiting the club. Plenty of people would probably help him if he screamed.
“Not so fast, freckles.”
The small omega was pulled back yet again.
Izuku spun around, his green eyes sharp as he bared his teeth in an obvious snarl. “Don’t touch me! I’m not sucking your dick just because you felt the need to play hero.”
Red eyes locked with his.
And for a second, that split second, Izuku felt like the world stood still. Instead of some ugly alpha with questionable intentions, this alpha simply looked annoyed and frustrated.
Not the usual type to defend Izuku in an alleyway.
“What the fuck are you doing out so late by yourself?”
Izuku blinked, pulling himself out of his daze as sweet caramel greeted his nose. “Does it matter?”
The alpha’s eyes twitched. “I think it does. Any omega with a bit of common sense would know not to be by themselves at this time of night.”
“I’m not most omegas.”
Izuku’s words caused the tiniest smirk to dawn on the alpha’s face.
This mysterious alpha was much taller than Izuku and definitely stronger. The hood of his jacket covered ash-blond hair, but no amount of darkness could hide those eyes. And even more so, it was obvious that he had a resting bitch face.
“Hah?! A resting what?”
Ah, fuck.
Izuku blushed bright red, chewing on his bottom lip in an attempt to keep his mouth shut. “I-ignore that. I tend to mumble a lot.”
The alpha narrowed his eyes. “I can see that, freckles. But what the fuck were you doing out here by yourself?”
I’m not helpless…
“I can handle myself. I don’t need your help.”
The alpha scoffed loudly, his scowl becoming more prominent on his face. “Don’t be fucking reckless. If I wasn’t here, Stitches would’ve done worse than choke you.”
Izuku rolled his eyes. “I had it handled.”
“Stop lying to yourself, freckles.”
The small omega clenched his jaw and pulled himself free of the alpha’s grip. His skin felt hot with fury and annoyance, especially since this alpha seemed so arrogant.
Izuku walked out of the alley, adjusting the strap of his guitar case and glancing around. The sidewalk was still full of people, so he was probably safe to finish walking home.
Before he could do so, however, a warm hand grasped his arm.
“Hold on, freckles. Let me walk you home.”
Izuku froze, glaring suspiciously at the alpha next to him. “I’m not helpless, you know. I don’t need a big, strong alpha to walk me home.”
Thank god for sarcasm.
The alpha shrugged, releasing Izuku’s arm and waited to follow him. “I’d feel much better knowing that you got home okay. I don’t want to see your fucking face on the news, freckles.”
Freckles? That’s the best you got?
“Fine.”
The small omega looked away from the alpha and started walking home, his heart fluttering in his chest as the smell of caramel enveloped him. Izuku’s never been good with attractive people, though.
Especially alphas with red eyes, which is his favorite color.
“What’s your name, nerd?”
Izuku blinkled, adjusting his hoodie. “I have enough survival instincts not to tell you. Stick to the shitty nicknames.”
The alpha huffed. “They’re not shitty!”
“I’m not convinced.”
Blondie {which Izuku decided to call him} growled in obvious annoyance, easily keeping up with the short omega. “Don’t you want to know my name? I’m sure you’re curious, shitty nerd.”
Izuku shrugged, glancing both ways before crossing a dimly-lit street. “Not really. It’s not like I’ll ever see you again.”
“How can you be so sure of that?”
“Because it’s obvious that you’ve never been here before.”
Blondie gave him a sideways glance, his red eyes glinting in the street light. “I’m that obvious? What gave it away, freckles?”
Izuku chewed on his bottom lip, slowing down as his apartment complex came into view. “If you were, then you would’ve known that I can handle Dabi. This won’t be the last time he tries to kick my ass.”
Silence.
Hehe.
“So he does that often?”
Izuku stopped in front of his complex, turning to glance at the red-eyed alpha. “More than you’d think.”
The alpha nodded, looking up at the apartment complex. “Well, I’m glad that you let me walk you home. Should I follow you inside?”
“I’m not too comfortable with that, Blondie.’
Blondie froze, shooting Izuku a scowl. “Don’t call me that, shitty nerd.”
Izuku snickered, punching a code into the door and opening it. “Thanks for the entertainment, Blondie. I’m sure that you’ll get better with the nicknames.”
He went inside, leaving alpha outside.
Thank god that’s over.

Long BNHA-related rant ahead, but imma organize my thoughts :)
Bakugou should not have failed the provisional licensing exam.
Katsuki failed this exam because he spoke roughly to the “victims”.
If this is enough to not get a hero license, then every single hero at the scene during the sludge villain incident, at the sports festival and/or that got to Katsuki during the kidnapping should have their licenses revoked.
None of these heroes comforted Katsuki, and none of these heroes tried to get the villain to safety. They watched or they were the cause of his suffering. Katsuki was just doing what had been done to him time and time again.
Not to mention, during the rescue portion of the exam, he able to prioritize. Getting to the most injured victims is more important than comforting someone that has a broken arm. Sure, they might think it’s a big deal, but even with doctors, they don’t sit there and comfort everyone in an accident. They go find the person that’s hurt the most. Katsuki was not wrong. Sure, he could’ve worded it better, but to fail?
Side note: This reminds me of the rescue training OVA. Everyone was standing around chatting, and Bakugou decided to leave them and walk into the building to find the dummy, and Ochako calls him self-centered? When he was the one that knew that chatting wasn’t doing anything in their favor? He really can’t win...
(I’ll keep silent on the people I believe should have failed/come close to failing)
Bakugou is treated poorly by nearly everyone in BNHA.
Katsuki is angry. He’s angry a lot.
Katsuki was canonically raised by violence (from what we’ve seen and heard him say).
Katsuki has been in the center of numerous traumatic events.
But he’s angry, right? He’s angry a lot.
He’s angry a lot, so people seem to think that it’s not valid every single time. He’s angry a lot, so he’s not taken seriously. He’s angry a lot, so people treat him like they know him more than he knows himself.
He’s angry a lot, and the characters and the antis never ask why. They never look at all the facts that contribute to his feelings. They never put themselves in his shoes.
They see an angry child, and they stop there. (Sometimes they stop after angry, forgetting that Katsuki is a child.)
This is apparent both in and out of BNHA, and it’s so frustrating how if people perceive anger to be your most felt emotion/if you feel angry a lot, then it’s not valid each and every time.
People care about the cookie cutter kind kids, not the angry ones, and this causes people to not feel heard and to be disregarded.
Looking/being kind doesn’t automatically make you the best.
Looking/being mean doesn’t automatically make you the worst.
I’d argue that Katsuki has PTSD from these events, or, if not, we canonically know that the kidnapping has impacted him immensely.
But he’s angry a lot, so people don’t care.
He gets blamed for things he can’t control and hit by his mother, but “he shouts back! It’s part of his culture! It’s part of his culture and he shouts back, so it’s fine!”
1) Being a part of someone’s culture doesn’t make it right. Yes, I like good parents Mitsuki and Masaru just as much as the next guy, but that doesn’t mean that I’m going to overlook what’s right in front of me and what I hear (remember: he said he was raised in violence). A kid isn’t born angry. Either a chemical imbalance, their environment, or both plays a role. Don’t ignore it because anger isn’t validated in the eyes of others.
2) So what if he yells back? Being hit, being called names, and being blamed for something I can’t control has happened to me, and almost always I shouted back. That does not mean that it hasn’t affected my mental health and self worth. I am always labeled as the angry child. Because of this, when I’m sad or when I’m angry, no one cares unless they’re equally impacted.
Me not being listened to? Doesn’t matter.
Be getting hurt by someone physically or emotionally? Doesn’t matter.
Me being in a bad mood? Doesn’t matter.
But it does matter if it impacts someone else.
It does matter if I don’t listen in return. It does matter if I tell someone and interrupt whatever they’re doing. It does matter if I don’t want to talk to someone and they want to talk to/bother me.
It does matter, but not the fact that I’m feeling this way.
All they know is that I’m angry and it’s affecting them.
But they don’t help me, no. They don’t ask why, they don’t want to hear why.
They just see a child that feels anger a lot and tell them everything that’s wrong with them, because “you’re feeling this way, but I don’t like it”.
This is exactly how it is with Katsuki.
Katsuki’s emotions are extremely valid, but it’s ignored because every other character he interacts with seems so optimistic.
Yeah, they’ve been in traumatic events, but in the span of about a year, Katsuki has suffered, and no one looks past the angry appearance to ask the real questions of why he feels that way.
Being angry doesn’t make you a bad person, but no one in BNHA seems to understand that. (And almost no one in real life does either).
Okay, so I’m gonna briefly mention what I don’t like about other characters (All Might and Deku), so skip this and go to the 🛑 if you don’t want to see it!
Midoriya Izuku
Honestly, I find that with Deku, Hori does a lot of telling and not a lot of showing. Like we’re told he’s kind and we’re told he’s analytical. In reality, so many characters have basically dumped their trauma on Deku and he just replies with “yeah that sucks” or he doesn’t reply at all. With his analytical skills, sure he comes up with plans, but they’re really basic plans. (And extremely reckless at that.)
One thing that I cannot wrap my head around is how every character automatically trusts Deku without any complaints.
Deku is given everything, and I get that he’s the protagonist, but it’s like he has no struggles to reach the top. Like, sure he had that bone breaky thing, but he hears Gran Torino talk about some food not heating up all the way and all of a sudden he’s almost mastered AFO?
Deku should not have gotten so high on the entrance exam, and he should not be at the top of his class in terms of quirk use.
Deku is not 100% innocent in his and Katsuki’s relationship. Bnha is from Deku’s pov, so of course things would look all innocent of his side (especially with his lack of introspection as he only changes when someone else says something, but that’s a rant for another time)
Deku is not good at being inspirational, in my opinion, and I think that his hero-worshipping self should not have been the type of comfort that Eri and Kota needed.
Not a bad thing, but Deku doesn’t even mind Katsuki’s “you might as well take a swan dive off of the roof” comment (that people blow way out of proportion, but sure), so I don’t understand why people are so angry about that scene.
All Might
I don’t like how All Might knocks out Katsuki for pushing himself even if he breaks and whatnot, because Midoriya does that literally every fight, and All Might stays silent.
All Might told Katsuki that he was at a level 50 and Deku was at a level 1 and that was why he’s catching up so quickly as if he didn’t just give Deku the quirk of the number one hero as well as about 6 other quirks.
All Might is a terrible mentor and should not be a teacher. He only cares about his students (especially with Katsuki) when it affects Deku directly, and he doesn’t teach Deku any skills that would help him live longer and actually save people. (Noted in Deku’s highkey terrible handling of the fight during the Eri and Kota situation).
🛑
Okay, before I end this, I have some final things I want to say.
Everyone talks to Bakugou like they know him more than he knows himself.
I don’t understand when people say that Bakugou tormented and “suicide baited” Deku all his life, because we only got, like, 1.5 scenes of him being mean to Deku, everything else was just them hanging out, and he didn’t suicide bait Deku at all, please learn what that means before you use it.
Some of the same people bashing Katsuki are the ones stanning villains and saying that they should get off scot free or comparing him to Endeavor. I don’t understand this. How are you excusing serial killers and comparing an abuser to a child that was mean a couple times? Make it make sense, because right now, the double standards are real.
Done! (For now >:D)
There’s a lot of things that I could’ve said, but we’d be here all week if I mentioned everything, so, please settle with this long post!
Note: I don’t hate Deku nor All Might. I just relate to Katsuki a lot more, and I highkey dislike a lot of aspects of those twos’ characters.

🍺Drunk Bois Hour🍻
Since my birthdays comin on the 13th why not have some drunk Bois to be paired with a future drunk Val?
Bakugou
His guilty pleasure is a Bloody Mary
Average tolerance
Will 100% have drinking competitions
When he's plastered he'll fight anything, yes even himself, you might've held a mirror to him
Once tensions have passed expect him to ramble on and on about his hero work
Eventually you come up in conversation and he gets gushy
Really gushy
"Look at y/n. Aren't they beautiful? They're so *hic* gorgeous... I'm so lucky to have them... Wait a minute... who th- *hic* FUCK IS THAT HOLDING HANDS WITH THEM?"
"That's you Katsu, that's our picture, dumbass"
"Oi, only I can call people d-*hic* dumbasses, dumbass."
Midoriya
Long Island Iced Tea boi
He only had half his glass and he's wasted
Poor boy is so emotional
He goes from hyper fixated on something playing on the TV
To being emotional about you two dating
To laughing hysterically at someone falling
To crying over the fact that you two are actually dating
"I-im so lucky to be yours Y/n... Wait.. d-does that mean we.."
His eyes grow wide and a violent blush takes his cheeks hostage
"DID WE HAVE SEX??? OH NO, IVE GOTTA TELL MOM"
Cue you covering his mouth and trying to leave the now traumatized bar guests as Izuku keeps making little things into big deals
Todoroki
Negroni
He's a heavy weight surprisingly enough
But once he's drunk you better buckle up
Because now his filters off and he's a natural flirt
"Hey, Y/n, did I ever tell you how absolutely weak I am for your eyes?" He says while lifting your chin up to meet his eyes
Does the whole rolled up sleeves laying his head on his arm whole talking to you bit
You are 100% of his attention
He's touching some part of you at all times
Buys you drinks with innuendos ex sex on the beach
Expect a very passionate Shoto when you two get home
Sero
Margarita
He's an average weight party boi
Social drinker 100% of the way
"Listen Y/n, I'm here for a good time, not a long time" *proceeds to shotgun beer*
You have to be his impulse control
He will 10000% try Spiderman moves if you let him
You're trying to find him in the crowd when the Spiderman theme starts playing
He swings from a rafter and slaps into a wall
Looks like you have to use his own tape to tie him up before he hurts himself
"Y/n, I'm fuckin Spiderman!! You know what that means?!"
"what Sero"
"SPIDERMAN KISS! DUH"
Ok maybe you'll indulge just this once
Denki
Cosmopolitan
He's a lightweight in denial
"Just one more"x5
He's a frisky dunce
"Mmm Y/n, you look so damn sexy right now... Oh look, there's two of you! Doublleeeee troubleeeee~"
If only there was a camera for you to Office™ into
Constantly leaning on you for support and to flirt
Someone else started chanting "shots" and you had to drag him outside
"But Y/nnnnn I wanted to do a body shot off of your delicious curves~"
You really can't go anywhere with him
Kirishima
Moscow Mule
He's got a high tolerance
Social drinker
Once he gets drunk he's drunk for a while though
"Hey, y-you look a lot like someone I know..." Kiri rummages through his wallet to pull out a picture of you two, "You look a lot like my (wo)man..."
Bless him if you tease him and flirt with him
"I'll have you know, I'm taken! My heart belongs to *hic* my beautifully gorgeous Y/n.. y/n... Shit I need to call them.."
His face when your phone starts ringing is priceless
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH Y/N YOU THOT???"
Now he's making a scene
Shinsou
Old Fasioned
He's got an average tolerance
He's super clingy when the whiskey gets a grip on him
"Y/n no, don't leave. I can't be by myself"
"Shin I'm just going to the bathroom"
"IM COMING TOO DAMMIT"
Finds everything hilarious
"Y/n" he's trying to hide his laughter
"Yes hon?"
"Your flys down" he bursts out laughing
"IM ON THE TOILET OF COURSE IT IS"
*unholy screech laughter*
Just call him a hyena because he's cackling
Dabi
Whiskey Sour
He's got an extremely average tolerance
Once the drink gets him he's drunk all night though
He's a flirty drunk
"Hey baby, you taken?"
"Yes Dabi"
"Damn we're already on a first name basis? And you're taken? Well good thing he's not around..."
Nearly slams his head on the bar twice
This long legged boi is looking like Bambi at the end of the night
He's going to need help walking to bed
"Oh looks like I'm getting lucky tonight dollface~"
"Dabi, we're dating already and I'm just helping you get ready for bed"
"So bold of you to take the lead like this doll~"
Frustrated sigh
Toshinori
Mimosa
You wouldn't think he'd be a lightweight but here we are
You also wouldn't think he's drunk, until he opens his mouth
"Y-y/n, y/n! Y/n.. listen.. I love you"
He's a lovey drunk
Constantly attached to your hip literally and figuratively
Tries to be sly and flirt with you but it doesn't come out right
Starts talking about his students and gets super emotional
"They're like my kids Y/n, our kids... Holy shit... We have 20 kids.. Y/N HOLY SHIT WEVE GOT 20 KIDS AT HOME"
"No Toshi that's not- TOSHI GIVE ME THE KEYS"
Aizawa
Manhattan
He's a heavy weight but his sleep deprivation makes him a lightweight
He's a neutral evil
Roasts everyone at the bar over small insignificant things
"you smell like a barber shop that caught on fire, please go outside and take care of yourself"
Nearly chokes on his Manhattan when you slip nearly off the barstool
He's laughing constantly
Not like a haha laugh but a fjeknsekkdke
Tell him knock knock jokes to make him really lose his shit
"You know Y/n, I've always wanted to tie you up in my scarf..."
"NOT NOW SHOUTA"

Note
(1) Hi, I’m the anon who sent the MHA internship ask to hamliet. I don’t have a tumblr account, so sorry for this roundabout way of replying to your comment.
(2) I just wanted to say that you answered a lingering question I had about why Shouto would train his fire side under his father’s tutelage when Endeavor is the reason why he’s too traumatized to use his flames properly in the first place. Shouto’s probably hoping his peers would distract him from his PTSD triggers.
(3) I think that’s especially the case with Midoriya, since Izuku’s the one who inspired Shouto to summon his flames for the first time in years and forget Endeavor for a moment. Shouto may hope that Midoriya’s positive influence will negate Endeavor’s toxic one.
(4) Though I don’t think Shouto knows Bakugo heard his whole backstory from behind the corner, I do believe the former has come to trust the latter during their remedial lessons. Plus, Shouto saw that Bakugo wasn’t afraid of Endeavor when the flaming narcissist decided to drop in on their first hero license class.
(5) In other words, Bakugo won’t cower from or grovel toward Endeavor, which I assume would be a welcome change for Shouto. I am curious to see what would happen if Shouto found out Bakugo knows. I’m not sure if it would help them build a sense of understanding or just make things uncomfortable for them.
(6) What are your predictions for future chapters? Hawks says the League and Re-Destro’s Army will attack in 4 months, but I highly doubt Dabi’s going to wait that long. I mean, he has acted on his own before, but I don’t think he’s going to reuse the Noumu approach.
No worries Anon! I happily take discussions and asks as long as people aren’t being rude/trolls/jerkish behavior in general.
This is gonna be super long.
First things first - Shouto definitely doesn’t want to walk into the lion’s den alone, as it were. There are definitely ulterior motives on Shouto’s part, when asking Izuku and Bakugou specifically.
I very much think Shouto is looking to Endeavor for mentorship, but possibly in a “flip-the-script” way. Endeavor tried to use Shouto - so Shouto will use Endeavor to get stronger. If this is true I think it will backfire - because BNHA has repeatedly framed using people for what they can do, rather than seeing people as people - as a bad thing. Even the villains get this lesson - the Overhaul Arc taught the LoV that comrades are not disposable.
Yes, I agree again - Shouto trusts Izuku and Bakugou to counter Endeavor’s toxicity. (Some irony there, considering Bakugou’s own attitude and treatment of others). Shouto might be relying on his friends here, which is definitely growth for him. Also, Endeavor can’t pull much of his abusive bullshit if Shouto is never alone, something that I think factored into Shouto’s decision.
Will Shouto finding out that Bakugou knows about his home life end up causing friction or causing bonding? Honestly, both. Friction first, which the two of them need to work through, then a renewed, deeper trust. Regardless of that part, Shouto knows Bakugou won’t hesitate to call out Endeavor. I mean, the first thing Bakugou says about Endeavor when he shows up for the internship is “Dude’s a hard-ass.”
Tumblr media
Now about part 6: I have lots of them - but predictions are a tricky thing, and I might get just about everything wrong. Here goes.
I definitely think we’re due for the Dabi-is-Touya grand reveal - Horikoshi has teased the audience for long enough that there’s plenty of evidence.
There’s some really blunt and pretty sinister foreshadowing by Glass Wizard Guy - Endeavor is definitely being set up for a hard fall. He even got the Number One spot, the thing he’s supposedly always wanted. The only way to go from the top... is down.
Dabi’s an impulsive guy - there’s no way he‘s going to wait four whole months if he spots an opening.
Hawks is probably going down, too - he’s got a bunch of Icarus symbolism around him and Endeavor, as a duo. Along with what could be Fallen Angel symbolism - his wings are shaded to look black quite a few times in recent chapters.
Oh, and this child-soldier stuff the Hero Commission is pulling with the UA kids? It’s gonna blow up in their faces because the UA kids are smart, headstrong and definitely not the kind of obedient that the Commission expects. Add in that the staff hate this idea even if they have no choice in the matter - I wouldn’t put it past the teachers to pull some under-the-radar interference to protect their students. Depends on how badly the Commission just turned the teachers against them.
Character interactions that need to happen because there’s set-up:
Dabi and Endeavor, of course. That’s likely the crux of this arc.
Dabi and Geten, because they’re mirrors of each other and both of them need to look at the toxic beliefs they’ve internalized.
Dabi and Shouto, because they’re both foils and family. I don’t think Dabi hates Shouto, and I think he’ll get less vitriolic in his attitude towards Shouto when he realizes that Shouto isn’t Endeavor 2.0.
Dabi and the League: time for burnt bacon to open up.
Himiko and the League: might be interesting, with the emphasis on the Todoroki family secrets, if Himiko open up about her estranged family.
Shouto and Endeavor: I think Endeavor needs a reminder that what Shouto wants to see out of his father is a better father, not a better Hero. Endeavor needs to actually listen to his family when they tell him how badly he done fucked things up.
Shouto and Bakugou: I do think Shouto will find out Bakugou knows about Endeavor’s abuse in this arc. See above for how I think that probably works out.
Bakugou and Endeavor: Bakugou needs to see that this guy isn’t who he wants to become - Bakugou is being shown someone who values nothing but power, his worst-possible-future-self incarnate, and he needs to reject that to have positive growth.
Izuku and Bakugou have had their fight and cooldown conversation about what went down in Kamino - but it never covered their past, not really. I think Izuku and Bakugou will end up fighting again, if not in this arc then at some point. It’s the only way Izuku can get through to Bakugou (unfortunately) - and for all his compassion, Izuku isn’t quite the cinnamon roll the fandom likes to treat him as. He’ll gladly throw hands, and Bakugou needs another wake-up call about how he treated Izuku.
When the Villain Crew crosses paths with the UA kids in this arc:
Himiko and Izuku: They’ve interacted at least three times so far, with set-up for more. Himiko has told Izuku her genuine thoughts and feelings twice so far. “Will you really save everyone?” and “I’m so happy, Izuku baby!” Izuku needs to give her an answer on that first one.
Himiko and Ochako: these two are another set of foils. Himiko even took Ochako’s form and used her Quirk in the Villain Academia Arc. Hopefully we don’t get some token catfight over who loves Izuku more. (Miss me with that tired stuff please). Let them have a serious, dangerous fight, and also at least attempt to communicate. Worth noting that Himiko has genuine, if quite warped, romantic interest in both Izuku and Ochako.
Things that are probably entirely wishful thinking but I want anyway:
A showdown between Twice, who can duplicate any person or object he knows accurate physical measurements for, VS Momo, who can create any object she knows the structure of? Perfect playground to get creative with their Quirks.
A battle of wits and hacking between that shaggy-hair hacker guy VS Principal Nezu and Hatsume Mei. Again, a playground for seeing smart, sneaky, creative Quirk use (and tech use.)
Mt. Lady VS Gigantomachia. An opportunity for one of BNHA’s chronically underplayed ladies to be an absolute powerhouse. Also just the sheer, Kaijuu-style spectacle of that fight.

A Bell and The Refrigerator Light (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: You watch a horror movie that you really shouldn’t have and when you stay up all-night as a result, Bakugou promptly scolds you for your stupidity.
More or less inspired by my own sleeping problems lol and Yes I have some shameless references from my favorite cartoon in here and the movie mentioned in here will be used in another one of these stories cuz I love that movie despite the fact that it traumatized me as a kid and gave me nightmares XD
BTW SORRY FOR ANY OOC-NESS!!
Note: (F/D) means ‘Favorite Drink’
Featuring: Lord Explosion Murder!!
12:40 am
It’s not that you were an insomniac, you were just KIND OF an insomniac. At least that’s what you told yourself to convince yourself that you didn’t have a problem.
Which is why you often relied on fanfictions, Youtube videos, Netflix and movies to watch and read during the late hours of the night until you dozed off for a good 5 hours and sometimes if you were lucky, you’d get 6 hours of sleep.
No, it most definitely wasn’t a good habit of yours and you were aware of it, but alas, saying you have a problem is a lot easier than trying to fix that problem. However, it was a habit that your boyfriend was extremely irritated with. Bakugou Katsuki wasn’t known for being empathetic, but he did care about you, hell he fucking loved you more than anything. Which is why he was hard on you when it came to your worst habits as a means to get you to break them.
Helping you get some damn sleep was a little bit hard though.
You were in your dorm-room again and watching Stranger Things for the 11th time in a row and sniffling with happy tears when seeing Mike finally dance with Eleven, but you jumped a bit when your door slammed wide open.
But you didn’t even have to turn to see that it was no one other than Bakugou. Only he ever rudely opened your door like that.
“Damn you Katsuki! You freaked me out… and during the best part…!” You wiped your eyes to get rid of the tears, not really seeing the annoyed look on Bakugou’s face. Obviously, he wasn’t happy that you were still awake at 12 in the morning. He shouldn’t have even been awake but… he knew you were, which is why he was up, because you shouldn’t have been awake either.
“Shut up! I don’t give a shit, it’s fucking late! Go the hell to bed already or you’ll get bags under your eyes like that weird brainwashing guy.” He didn’t hesitate to scold you, “Besides you’ve already seen that dumb show like 10 times already and made me watch it with you 3 times…”
Smiling coyly, you shook your head, “Joke’s on you Katsu, I already HAVE bags under my eyes… AAAAND actually this is my 11th time because her name is ‘Eleven.’” You giggled a little bit, and if he didn’t love you and your laugh so much he would have yelled at you some more. “Get it?” You asked, but all that did was annoy him.
He grunted in annoyance, calmly closing your laptop and ignoring your pout. This is why you loved him so much, he always looked out for you even if he could be a total jerk about it. But that was just proof that he loved you. “Just go to bed already. It’s too damn late and you’ll mess up your body if you keep this habit up.” Bakugou for once, used a softer tone as he looked over at you, and you blushed and couldn’t help but smile widely at how much care he was showing for you right now.
You tried not to giggle, but you didn’t try that hard. “Aww Katsuki…” Under all those swear words was the care of your concerned boyfriend, and he hated that you just had to fawn over it as he growled and blushed pink. “Just go to bed!” He had to raise his voice, just so you would stop with that swooning. Even if it was true, he was concerned.
And you sighed happily, “Okay… okay… it’s late I know…” You put your laptop away, deciding to follow your boyfriend’s wishes, but not without giving him a surprise hug, which made him grunt in surprise as he couldn’t fight the blush heating his face. But he didn’t fight it since nobody else was around to see and he put his arms around you as he gave you a ‘goodnight kiss’ on your forehead, which made you giggle as you kissed him on his warm cheek.
“Goodnight Katsuki~.” You said to him sweetly as he moved to go back to his dorm, before he looked at you softly and muttered a ‘good night’ and left you to get some sleep.
However…
Once he left, you closed your door and you DID try to go to bed as you lied there with your eyes closed…
For about 30 minutes and you weren’t tired at all. No matter how many times you tried to think of something to lull you to sleep, nothing worked. You sighed in annoyance; you had no idea how your poor friend Shinsou dealt with his insomnia, and you were worried that maybe you WERE insomniac.
You almost felt bad for going against your boyfriend’s wishes, but you couldn’t sleep even though you were trying your hardest. Giving up, you got your laptop and your earphones as you decided to maybe just watch ONE movie that will hopefully make you drowsy enough to fall asleep until morning.
It was kinda hard to choose even though you had no plans on paying attention, but eventually you settled on an interesting movie you recalled once.
The Descent.
You haven’t seen that movie since you were like in the 3rd grade. And you were a little too young to remember every single thing about it, all you remembered was that it was creepy and scary. You chuckled a bit, wondering just how bad it could have been now that you were all grown up now.
The Descent it was.
AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER ‘2:50 am’
Why the HELL did you watch that?
Is what you were asking yourself as you stared at your screen with wide eyes as you trembled in your bed as you watched this poor girl getting eaten alive. Turns out you couldn’t not pay attention if you tried once you remembered more about the movie from when you were a child.
At first you thought it was bad enough that the women got trapped, and then when the girl broke her leg, but now these ugly fucking things were chasing them in the dark?! This was a fucking horror show! And yet you were dumb enough to watch it when you should have listened to Bakugou…
Well you knew one thing now; you were NEVER going spelunking or stepping foot into a cave in your life. You were NEVER visiting the Appalachian Mountains in your life, and you were NOT going to sleep tonight. As soon as the movie ended with that terrifying scream, you recognized how horribly dark your room was now.
But there were no such things as cave monsters right? They would have been killed a long time ago. Curiosity was one of your many, many flaws though, and you trembled as you opened your door just a crack. Nothing but darkness and shadows draping along the walls due to the dim moonlight provided by the windows in the hall, but that did nothing to comfort you for you could only see blackness. At least you hoped that it was all you could see, but you couldn’t be so certain because the dark played tricks on you.
Tricks that were too easy for you to fall for as your eyes made you believe that the darkness was taking forms that you felt were coming to life, and you swore you heard very, very quiet creaks and something else that made your body shake as you quickly closed your door and locked it. Terror grasped you as you hurriedly turned all your lights on and you went back to lie in your bed.
Although you hated lying down with light shining in your eyes, the last thing you wanted to be around was darkness. Darkness was bad, and darkness hid monsters that would eat you if you let your guard down.
The only thing left to do was to stay awake until the morning…
IN THE MORNING…
You lied in bed, staring straight up at the ceiling with bloodshot eyes as the alarm on your phone went off and signaled that it was time to get ready for class. Like a robot accustomed to your schedule, you got up out of bed to brush your teeth, your eyes still wide and red with heavier bags under them as you threw off your pajamas after leaving the bathroom and got into your uniform.
How in the world were you going to function today? Your body was a lot more tired than it’s been in a while, and you were aware of just how sluggish and weak you felt without a proper amount of sleep. And on top of that, you were still shaken up from that damn movie from last night…
You didn’t stop thinking about it, and you were honestly worried that those things were hiding in the dark because you didn’t know what lurked in the dark. That’s why the dark was the dark, because it hid things and played tricks on people.
But you couldn’t let anyone know that, and you especially couldn’t let Bakugou know that either. In fact, other than telling you to go to bed earlier he’s also told you countless times to not watch horror movies alone at the dead of night because of how crazy you got after doing exactly that because the horror movies often freaked you out afterwards and made you act like more of a weirdo than normal. Now you were paying the price AGAIN for doing that…
However, you didn’t plan on letting him figure it out, so you took a deep breath as you put your shoes on and carefully left your room with your things. You thought that maybe if you load up on sugar and (F/D)  that you could stay awake and hide the fact that you definitely got zero sleep last night from everyone.
For some reason it felt like no one was up, or maybe you were just late for the breakfast or something. But then something felt off, like there was someone or something approaching behind you fast as you turned…
“AH!” You jumped and gasped heavily with a shocked look from being startled, but your racing heartbeat start to slow down slightly as soon as you realized that it was only Shinsou, and he almost jumped from just how surprised you were. Nothing startled him much, but your reaction did it since he didn’t expect that from you.
He really was like a cat because he literally just snuck up on you and boy you did NOT care for it.
“H-Hitoshi…! Golly you need to put a bell on or something, you totally surprised me…” You kind of pouted as he had enough grace to look amused, even if your reaction was a bit… odd.
“Good morning to you too.” He said somewhat sarcastically with a small smirk, “You’re clearly out of it.” He wasn’t blind, obviously you were on edge about something, but you just laughed it off.
“Nothing… I just didn’t get AS much sleep as I should have… I need some (F/D)…” You stated as casually as possible and you were relieved when Shinsou kind of bought it. Or at least he bought it enough as he shrugged, “Not a bad idea… I didn’t get that much sleep either… that’s just my curse though…” Shinsou sighed, and you decided to walk with him to the kitchen so the two of you could load up on sugar and/or caffeine to wake up.
“Oh I totally get that… you ain’t alone in that struggle my friend…” You and Shinsou both exchanged smiles as you chuckled a little once you got into the kitchen you sighed heavily in relief when you saw the rest of your precious classmates like sweet Izuku, Uraraka, Todoroki, Aoyama, Tsuyu and Iida. “They’re alive…” You mumbled a little bit, relieved that those monsters didn’t get them as you got a large enough cup of (F/D) and ignored the looks of concern you were getting from some of your classmates.
“Good morning (Y/N)-chan…” Izuku greeted you politely, but the way you were drinking that much (F/D) was a bit confusing, and then you stared at him with wide eyes was… concerning. “Hi Izuku! Morning to you too! God I love morning… it’s an underrated time! The sun’s out! Thank goodness!” You probably shouldn’t have acted so crazy, but you were disoriented from a lack of sleep, so you’d use that as an excuse.
And you were dumb enough to forget just how smart Izuku was, how could you forget? You practically grew up with him and Bakugou. Izuku knew whenever you were acting crazy…
“Are… you okay (Y/N)?” Uraraka was just as concerned as Izuku was, and she could tell something was wrong, but you were going to hide it better. “YEAH! I’m fantastic Ochaco! Never felt better! Just happy that it’s morning! I’ve always been a morning person!” You claimed, but Shinsou suppressed a chuckle and shook his head. “No you’re not…” He muttered quietly, he’s SEEN you in the morning before and you were about as much a morning person as he was.
Naturally though, you weren’t fooling people as good as you hoped, even though Uraraka and Izuku were planning to leave you be, despite their concern, “If you say so…” Uraraka smiled nervously.
Todoroki might not have been as observant as the others when it came to people, but even he knew something was up, “You’re energetic this morning.” He pointed out, even though he was getting the feeling that it was a façade.
At least he hoped it was…
“A lot more than normal, because you’re normally pretty groggy and half-asleep in the mornings.” Tsuyu knew better just like Shinsou did.
“She is correct. You simply lack that sparkle in your eyes upon waking up every morning because you are not accustomed to it.” Aoyama pointed out, albeit flamboyantly but even he knew that you weren’t really convincing anyone given your erratic behavior.
Dammit, why did you think being around the Dekusquad was a good idea? They were all too observant and smart for their own good! You should have gone with the Bakusquad!
“Did you get a good night’s sleep (L/N)? I’m aware that you have some difficulty sleeping, remember that a proper 7 or 8 hours is necessary to maintain a rested body to perform your tasks in class especially for a Hero course student.” Iida sort of lectured you, and that KINDA made you snap just a little bit.
“YOU’RE A PROPER REST IIDA! AND YOU’RE A HERO COURSE STUDENT! WHY DON’T YOU GET A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP?!” You suddenly shouted at the top of your lungs with a borderline insane look in your eye, freaking out Iida, Izuku, Uraraka and Aoyama and surprising Todoroki, Tsuyu and Shinsou…
“W-What?!”
“I’m sorry Iida…” You went from 10 to 3 fast with a softer look, but Iida was still clearly shocked by your random outburst. “I’m sorry to all you guys… here lemme get you guys somethin’ to drink…” You said, going over to the refrigerator and opening it, but you were so out of it you weren’t even paying attention to what was in the fridge.
“Hey… Aoyama… would you mind helping me decorate my room sometime…? My room could use more sparkles and lights… a-and you’re the expert on anything bright…” Just like that you changed the subject, and yet Aoyama couldn’t help but feel flattered.
“Oh? Of course~, I don’t mind helping a friend with décor… I promise to give your room the proper make-over so that your room will shine brightly~.” He said and you couldn’t help but grin, that’s exactly what you wanted. Zero darkness, and nothing but bright lights.
“Great! Thank you! I mean I love lights and sparkles and shiny things.” You said with a slightly twitching eye, forgetting what you were doing as you then stared at the refrigerator light, “That’s why this fridge is great, the little light is always on… even when you close it… it’s still on. The refrigerator light is simple, yet beautiful… you see?” You opened it, and closed it.. and opened it…
“Hello light.” You ‘greeted’ the light, and your friends were both confused and slightly creeped out but mostly concerned when you didn’t stop opening and closing the refrigerator.
“Hello light.”
“(L/N). I must request that you please stop doing that, the refrigerator cannot work if you keep opening and closing it.” Iida had politely asked you to stop what you were doing, but you weren’t going to. You were enthralled…
“Hello Light.” Once again you opened it again and didn’t hear the sigh coming from Shinsou nor did you see the concerned looks from Uraraka, Todoroki, Tsuyu and Aoyama.
“Hello Light.”
There was only one person who could help now…
“K-Kacchan…?” Izuku was a bit scared to approach Bakugou, but right now he thought that going to Bakugou would be the best option since it was his girlfriend over here acting cuckoo and perhaps the explosive teen could help snap you out of this. And he DID manage to go over to his childhood friend while he was talking to Kirishima, “Kacchan…?”
“What the fuck do you want nerd?” Bakugou instantly got annoyed just seeing Izuku’s face, but the latter immediately pointed for the direction he wanted him to go, “(Y-Y/N)’s…” But the mention of your name got his attention. “What about her?”
“S-She’s uh… I think she’s… not feeling so good…” Was the best Izuku could describe it since your strange behavior was hard for him to explain. “Uh oh… let’s go see then.” Kirishima didn’t have to tell Bakugou twice as the ash-blonde grunted in annoyance, wondering what the hell was wrong with you this time.
As he and Kirishima paused with baffled looks once they saw you there, opening the refrigerator with the dumbest grin on your face, “Hello light.” And then you closed it, and opened it again.
“Hello light.”
Bakugou swore his girlfriend went crazy, but once he saw how wide-eyes and frazzled you looked, it didn’t long for him to piece it all together as he growled somewhat angrily, “Helllllo light~.” Just seeing you going crazy and being so stupid nearly sent him off the handle as he roughly patted your shoulder to snap you out of your daze.
“Hey idiot! Cut that shit out! What the hell are you even doing?!” He shouted loud enough to get your attention, but you immediately shrieked and jumped from being startled and backed away. Your heart practically beating out of your chest as you shook like a leaf as you stared at Bakugou’s indignant glare.
You calmed down ever so slightly, but you could still hear and feel your heart beating in your ears and practically pounding through your body.
“Oh… Katsuki… it’s just you…” You took a deep sigh of relief in spite of your trembling figure, which Bakugou didn’t fail to notice. Which is why he was SO pissed right now, “No duh, it’s me, what the hell’s the matter with you?” It wasn’t so much a question as it was a demand, since apparently it was bad enough that Deku had to fetch him.
You started to sweat, knowing that Bakugou wouldn’t be happy to know what you did, but facing his wrath was better than being in the dark with those monsters. Or was it? You wondered who was scarier… your boyfriend, or ugly cave monsters…?
Katsuki?
Cave Monsters?
Which was the lesser of two evils?
You made your choice.
“Nothing is wrong… except… that I’m in desperate need of a nightlight, I haven’t had one of those in forever, but you know, they’re surprisingly useful.” You dodged the question with a fake nod and smile, as you instead made a claim that just made your boyfriend even madder. “What the fuck are you talking about?! Don’t beat around the bush! Out with it already!”
His tone made you cringe, and you thought of trying to say another dumb remark, but unfortunately Bakugou wasn’t stupid. And he knew why you were acting so crazy…
“What did you watch last night? Tell me.” His eyebrow twitched a bit as he tried to be calm, even though he TOLD you to go to bed last night.
And you sighed heavily in defeat, looking guilty as you looked away somewhat shamefully, “A movie about claustrophobia and ladies going into a cave… spoiler alert… they’re not alone in there…” You admitted finally, and you didn’t have to look up to see his irritated expression.
“I told you to go to bed last night.” Despite that, he managed to sound calm as you nodded, “I know… but I couldn’t… I tried, I really did… I think I’ve got a problem with sleeping…” For once you said it out loud, since that was something you often pondered to yourself and never actually said to anyone, even though quite a few were concerned that you did.
“No shit Sherlock. You’re just like Eye-Bags…” Bakugou didn’t sugarcoat it at all, but you had learned to take his honesty long ago. And it’s not like he always meant the insults he said, “And now you saw a damn horror movie on top of that… at night… by yourself…” You could tell he was getting angrier, and you prepared yourself for it, it’s a good thing you didn’t brush your hair because you swore sometimes, he yelled with such force he could blow your hair.
“You go batshit every time you do that… forget about going to sleep…” He sighed and grumbled in annoyance and brought you closer to him. You could see some fury in his eyes, but you also saw a lot of care and a hint of gentleness as he brought his fingers to your face and lightly felt the bags under your eyes. His scowl turned more into a grimace that hid his worry; it was clear that you got no sleep at all last night.
However, the low growl made you a little scared, “All of you beat it. Now!” He quickly demanded the rest of his classmates to leave the two of you alone, and of course Izuku was the first to obey, followed by Kirishima, and the others didn’t really want to pick a fight with him, so they just calmly left. Although, the cheekier ones like Uraraka and Shinsou were more than aware that it was to share a moment as Uraraka stifled her grin before she walked beside Tsuyu.
That surprised you, and you were almost worried that he was going to scold you in private. And he kind of was… “Are you gonna knock me out so I can go to sleep?” You asked, since he had often suggested that and you always turned that down since Bakugou never pulled his punches. Not even on you.
“Tch…” He scoffed though, despite those suggestions, he would never actually do that to you, except in sparring. “No… you can’t sleep… but after seeing that movie, now you really can’t sleep… and now you’re going to start seeing shit that’s not really there…” Bakugou muttered, he sounded extremely annoyed, but it’s because he’s seen this from you before… especially when the two of you were little.
Hell he remembered a time when you, him and Deku were like 7 or 8 and had a sleepover at his house, and had convinced (forced) you both to watch ‘The Ring’ and of course you and Deku were the only ones freaked out by it and screaming each time something even remotely scary showed up on screen. And even if some of the creepier scenes did kinda scare Bakugou a little bit, he never showed it or ever let you both know it.
‘L-Let’s sleep with the lights on tonight you guys…’ You mumbled in terror and turned the lights on in Bakugou’s room, glad to see that Izuku was vigorously nodding in agreement, “Uh-huh! That’s a good idea… I-I don’t mind having the lights on…” You and Izuku were on board because you were both scared out your wits after seeing that scary movie, but Bakugou wasn’t having it.
“No way! Forget it! I can’t sleep if the stupid lights are on!” He pushed you aside (somewhat gently) and turned the lights off, and you instantly shrieked and ran over to an equally terrified Izuku and the two of you jumped under the latter’s All-Might covers and you turned on your flashlight to light up the darkness. “W-We’ll be safe if we keep my flashlight on Izuku…” You said somewhat confidently to your friend, “ O-Okay (Y-Y-Y/N)-chan… A-And maybe… if S-Samara… s-sees All-Might on my blanket… s-she’ll go away…” Izuku clung to that belief in hopes that his blanket will protect you and him from any terrifying ghosts or monsters that were hiding in the dark.
“Yeah! All-Might can scare any monster! It’ll work!” You felt almost safe at that thought, and you and Izuku shared a shaky but certain smile, “O-Okay! M-My blanket will protect us!” Izuku clearly got more scared than you did when it came to horror movies, but it didn’t stop him from trying to look brave in front of you.
However, Kacchan was much braver, and much less tolerant of the way you were both acting as he yanked the blanket off you two, “AH!” You gasped and held your flashlight to your chest and trembled while Izuku yelped and fearfully clung to you as you put your arms around him to comfort him.
“You two are such babies! A stupid blanket won’t protect you!” He chastised you both and would have insulted Deku for being such a coward, but he didn’t want to hear you rant to him (again) about being ‘mean’ to him. It was so annoying seeing you both whimper and hug each other like the little babies you were…
Bakugou knew he was braver than both of you and he was so proud of that, and you and Deku being such scaredy-cats only fueled his ever-growing ego. “Tch… if there was a ghost girl, I’d kill her right on the spot!” He claimed with a smirk, even holding his fists out to emphasize that he wasn’t afraid of anything and believed that too.
Even if you were still kind of scared, you and Izuku couldn’t help but smile. As long as Kacchan was with you and Izuku, there was very little to fear. “Kacchan ain’t ‘fraid of no ghost!” You giggled and pointed out, since you had seen Ghostbusters and despite his annoyance with your reference, he still smirked. “DUH! No stupid ghost scares me. I’m stronger than any ghost!” He had to pat himself on the back more, which you and Izuku didn’t get tired of hearing.
“Wow… Kacchan is so brave… I think we’ll be just fine as long as he’s here.” Izuku said smiling, and even though Bakugou was beginning to like the little nerd less and less, he didn’t hate the compliments. “YEAH!” You agreed with your friend as you jumped into Bakugou’s bed.
“Hey! What are you doing Shitty Girl?! That’s MY bed!” He asked you somewhat angrily, ignoring the way you and Izuku gasped at his language that was slowly getting worse with each passing week.
“You said a bad word!” You pointed out and giggled, “I don’t give a shit! Get off my bed!”
“But I’m still scared…!” Bakugou might have been a meanie at times, but everytime you gave him your puppy-dog eyes he did what you wanted. Most of the time. “That ghost was so scary… and ugly! I can’t stop thinking about it… and it’s dark… but if I sleep in your bed with you, I don’t think she’ll get me…” You argued, your child mind having convinced you that Samara was out there to snatch up and kill any unsuspecting victim, but Bakugou was brave and strong. He would protect you, you believed he would.
It annoyed him as Bakugou hated how his face started getting hot when he saw you giving him those stupid puppy eyes again. But he liked you, a lot more than Deku that was for sure. And strong heroes always scared off the villains and protected the girl. At first, he didn’t really care about that, but then he met you and that changed his priorities a bit.
He growled, not exactly enjoying the thought of sharing his bed since he hated sharing in general, but he wouldn’t say ‘no’ to you. Tonight.
“Fine! But you’d better go to bed! I can’t stay up late! I have to get enough sleep so I can get stronger!” He exclaimed and reluctantly let you sleep in his bed as he got in and you couldn’t help but grin, “YAY!” You threw your hands up and happily lied down next to him, oblivious to how red Bakugou’s face was turning.
But already you felt a lot safer as you hugged your friend’s arm as he hid his face away from you. “(Y-Y/N) you’re such a scardey-cat…” He grumbled, his tone sounding shyer and he hated it. He didn’t hate you like he was starting to hate Deku, but he hated how you made him feel all mushy and icky in his chest.
“I like cats…” You mumbled sleepily, not having a problem being called that as you perked up when a nervous Izuku crawled into bed right behind you, still keeping his All-Might blanket with him, “I’m too scared to sleep by myself tonight! Can I please sleep with you both?” The poor thing was practically begging you and Bakugou and even hugged you out of terror, which you didn’t mind at all as you giggled and patted him on the head. “Deku! Get the hell of my bed! Who said you could get on?!” Bakugou would have blasted this little crybaby off, but he didn’t want to wake his mother, and you weren’t going to let him.
“Kacchan… don’t be so mean to Izuku… let him sleep with us. Just tonight… please?” There you go again, defending the weakling. As much as Bakugou wanted to kick Deku off his bed and maybe smack him for even daring to get near his things, he was honestly feeling too tired to fight and hated arguing with you whenever it came to the little nerd. “Just tonight… and you’d better not say a word of this to anyone Deku, or I’ll kill you…” He grumbled a little threat as he closed his eyes.
“I won’t Kacchan…” Izuku was already falling asleep as he cuddled up to you, but he kept that promise as he felt a lot safer with you and Bakugou. And you couldn’t help but giggle and smile as you began to close your eyes and drift off to sleep, “Thanks Kacchan…” You mumbled a sleepy thanks to your friend, ignoring the annoyed little noise he made once he started going to sleep.
That night you weren’t scared to go to bed, because you were so close to Bakugou and no ghost girl came to take you. Bakugou always made sure you were safe, and because of him you didn’t have any nightmares and you were able to finally get some sleep that night.
PRESENT TIME
“I told you to go to bed…” Bakugou repeated what he had said with a sigh of annoyance and you swallowed your pride to allow yourself to appear ashamed and averted his eyes. Or at least you tried to as he cupped your face, just to look at those bags under your eyes once more, which made you blush in embarrassment as you became a little more self-conscious about it now. “I’m sorry…” You mumbled.
You should have listened to him, and you knew it. Yet you couldn’t help yourself, even though you really did try. But before you could do anymore apologizing, Bakugou scoffed, as if he was hating what he was going to do, even though you knew he never hated doing anything that included you despite what he claimed.
“You’re sleeping in my bed tonight. End of story. You’re gonna get some damn sleep, so you’d better not complain.” He decided, since he knew that you wouldn’t be able to sleep by yourself after that movie, and you NEEDED sleep. Of course, Bakugou was smart enough to know that this wouldn’t instantly cure your insomnia, but this would be a stepping stone for you and give you some much-needed sleep. And whether you liked it or not, he was going to help you with your insomnia and ensure that you get more sleep.
Naturally, you didn’t expect that as your tired eyes widened at the thought as your cheeks started to darken and a grin sported across your face. As much as you despised going to sleep early, you knew you needed it, and on top of that you’d be sleeping with your Katsuki! There was little to complain about that.
“Hee~. I ain’t gonna!” You chirped, sounding much more energetic despite the fatigue in your body as you hugged your angry boyfriend’s arm. “Good…” Despite how annoyed he looked and sounded, he didn’t push you away even when you were both leaving the kitchen to go and get to class. However, you had enough consideration to let him go once your friends were all in sight, because you knew how much Bakugou disliked PDA. At least unless, he was the one initiating it to let the other guys back off, or if he felt particularly show-offy.
As you walked though, Shinsou didn’t let Bakugou’s scowl stop him from walking beside you to ask you something. “So, what was the name of that movie you saw last night?” He asked you curiously, knowing your bad habits as you perked up a bit with a nervous look.
“Hitoshi… you don’t get enough sleep as is… if you watch this movie you are NEVER going to sleep again…” You felt like you were exaggerating a little bit, but you didn’t want Shinsou to suffer like you were right now as you gave him a crazy, wide-eyed look that he found too hilarious to take seriously. “Exactly. I’m not going to be bothered either way.” He claimed, even though you were still worried.
“Okay… it’s called The Descent… but it’s like legit scary in more than one way…” You didn’t want to turn him off a genuinely good movie, but you weren’t lying about the scariness in The Descent.
“So is Bakugou, and yet it doesn’t stop me from approaching him.” He snarked in reply, and you NEARLY laughed but you couldn’t because you had to act quick and hold back a VERY angry Bakugou once he heard that remark. “WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN YOU FUCKING FREAK?!” You whined as you tried to hold back your explosive boyfriend, who was somehow only at a 9, and you didn’t want to see him go to 12.
“Don’t do it Katsuki! He didn’t mean it he was just playing!” It took all your minimal strength to hold back Bakugou as you begged for Shinsou’s life on his behalf…
You were in for a long day, and night…
LATER THAT NIGHT
Like a zombie, you slowly walked into the hallway in your pajamas and as reluctant as you were, it was time to go bed. Well… Katsuki’s time to go to bed, which was like 9:30pm, a whole 4-5 hour difference from your ‘bed-time’. But you were sleeping with him tonight, so you couldn’t complain, and your body needed it anyway.
And he followed you close behind, putting his hand on your back as his own gentle way of leading you, of course he knew that you knew where his room was, but he was honestly worried that you would pass out. Given how many times you dozed off and fell asleep in class today.
You nearly fell on his bed as soon as you got into his room, and yet you weren’t prepared to go to sleep yet. Your insomnia wouldn’t let you pass out yet, “I was tired… and now… I’m wide awake.” You muttered a little bit, hating how your body had adjusted to your subpar sleeping habits and how it kept you awake even when you were physically exhausted. And despite the way he scoffed, Bakugou understood, even if he wasn’t always gentle.
“Well if you don’t fall asleep, then I’ll just knock you out or something.” He claimed, even though you knew that wasn’t going to happen, but he would find a (surprisingly) non-violent way to lull you to sleep somehow.
You wryly chuckled as you got under his covers and awaited him. However, your half-lidded eyes widened as soon as you saw him take off his clothes til he was only clad in his black tank-top and he changed into his baggy pajama pants. You might have been exhausted, but certainly not enough to watch him undress. “Pervert.” He smirked a little bit, obviously having caught you ogling him as you blushed furiously and averted your eyes, even as he got into his bed right beside you.
As soon as you felt his warm body, the first thing you did was cuddle up to him and hug his arm, burying your face into his shoulder as he tensed ever so slightly. Although you were both together, every now and then Bakugou still found himself a little bit flustered whenever you touched him. “Katsuki… there’s nothing in your closet right…?” It sounded so childish, but you had to ask.
“Nothing other than clothes, moron.” He rolled his eyes at how scared you were, but he wouldn’t be too mean, at least, as much as he could help it. By then now though, you had learned to not take his harshness so seriously as you chuckled a little bit, “I should have watched that movie with you… it totally freaked me out… no horror movie scares you…” You said almost sleepily as you felt your eyes starting to droop.
Bakugou sighed, almost feeling bad for being his usual abrasive self when you were clearly scared and having trouble sleeping on top of all of it. “Just don’t watch a damn horror movie when it’s 1 in the morning… otherwise you wouldn’t be here, besides, there’s no such thing as monsters… closest thing we have to a monster is that little grape shit…”
“Yeeeeah… he’s a little monster that’s easy to crush… but when you think about it… I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t watch that movie… next to you… in your bed… I like it…” You smiled, unable to keep your eyes closed which Bakugou was thankful for because of how red his face was getting. Dammit, that was true, and he liked being this close to you too. Maybe he would have to start bringing you to his bed every now and then, for your health, and for closeness. “Don’t say such mushy crap like that…” He nearly stuttered and hated how hot his face felt now.
Even though you were starting to get drowsier, you still giggled a little bit, “Mmm… Katsuki… I love you… thanks for this... you’re the best…” As you closed your eyes, you cuddled up to him and even though you couldn’t see it, you knew that he was blushing warmly and barely suppressing a smile.
“Yeah, yeah…” He muttered quietly, “I love you too idiot…” You kept yourself awake long enough just to hear him say that before you slowly drifted off to sleep now that your boyfriend’s warm body protecting you had calmed you down enough to let your dreams take you to their land.
Finally sleep slowly came, but the darkness followed you shortly and you could hear the screeches of those godawful things. For a moment you were ready to scream as you shut your eyes, but as soon as you opened them there was only light and you were back at UA, and a familiar hand holding yours. Relief flooded your anxious heart when you saw your Katsuki in your dreams.
He really did always protect you, in the real world, and in the dream world.
BONUS ENDING…
When morning came and prompted you and Bakugou to get up and get ready for the day, you were amazed at how more awake you felt. Well, you were still tired, as it would take more than one night of enough sleep to develop better sleeping habits and help your insomnia. But the point was, is that you felt better now that you had gotten enough rest to function a lot better today.
“Mmm… damn Katsuki… you were right. I feel a lot more awake now…” You mumbled somewhat tiredly despite what you claimed, but Bakugou knew that you got the right amount of sleep to at least go about with the day.
“Of course I was right. Since when have I been wrong?” He said somewhat proudly, and you smiled and shook your head a little bit.
“Uh… (Y/N)-chan…?” Izuku had shyly walked to you, as you stretched your arms out with a yawn, “Hm? Izuku? Morning~.” You smiled sleepily at your friend, as he nervously smiled and waved, “G-Good morning… um… t-there’s something you need to see…” He made sure to be polite, but afterwards he quickly told you that you were needed, much to Bakugou’s annoyance and your concern.
“Huh?” You put your shoes on as you followed your friend as he was leading you to the kitchen? It was definitely the kitchen and your eyes widened once you saw what Izuku was talking about.
“Oh no…”
“Hello Light.”
There Shinsou was, ‘greeting’ the little light in the refrigerator as he closed it, and opened it again, “Hello Light.” He somehow looked even more tired than normal as his eyes were wide and the bags under his eyes were darker, as if someone used his own quirk on him. While you were extremely concerned, Bakugou was extremely annoyed, and kind of amused.
“I told him not to watch it alone in the dead of night…” You shook your head, but Bakugou scoffed, “You can’t talk shit… that’s exactly what you did last night dumbass...” He pointed out your hypocrisy as you stuck your tongue at him. “Exactly! Cuz I’m dumb Katsuki! And I learned my lesson…” You muttered with a small blush on your cheeks as you made your way over to Shinsou, gently pulling him away from the refrigerator door.
“Hitoshi… no more saying hello to the little light.” You said softly, trying to snap your friend out of his daze and literally snapped his fingers to see if he was even aware that you were there. And he blinked a little bit until he finally recognized you standing right in front of him with a worried look. “I warned you dude…”
He sighed heavily, “I am never going to sleep again…” Shinsou mumbled with a hint of shame in his low voice as he walked with you to pour a full cup of coffee in the largest cup he could find. He’s seen his share of generic scary movies, but that one wasn’t one of them. As much as you wanted to say ‘I told you so’, that didn’t feel like the best thing to say.
“Well you have to get some sleep… I learned that the hard way… Mr. Aizawa needs you to be awake enough to train… and you can’t tell him that a horror movie kept you awake, trust me… you don’t wanna hear what he has to say about that…” You muttered nervously, since you already got the scolding from him yesterday after falling asleep repeatedly in class yesterday. The man sympathized with you, but you knew Shinsou wouldn’t want to hear the same scolding.
He shook his head; he really didn’t want to hear that scolding at all, his mentor was relentless in training. A good teacher, but relentless. “How about I knock HIM out? That’ll put him to sleep.” This time Bakugou meant that. He never really liked Shinsou, so he wouldn’t mind knocking him out.
But you weren’t going to let that happen, “No! No, no… Hitoshi don’t deserve that…” You quickly told your boyfriend ‘no’, much to Shinsou’s relief. He wasn’t THAT desperate for sleep yet, but he was exhausted. More so than usual, he probably shouldn’t have watched that movie at 2 in the morning. That was his least intelligent move yet, but in his defense, he didn’t think the movie you saw would be that legitimately terrifying.
“Oh! I slept with Katsuki, worked like a charm for me! How about you try that?” You cheerfully suggested, but the two boys despised each other and were NOT up for it. They could barely stand to be in the same room with each other, let alone next to each other.
“No!” They both shouted in unison, and you held your hands up in defense with a nervous giggle.
“Okay, okay, how about we ALL sleep in the same bed huh? The more the merrier, and it’s a lot safer since there’s power in three people with quirks!” Then came your second suggestion, and only Bakugou shouted ‘no’ because there was no way he was going to let this freak step foot in his room. But Shinsou didn’t say ‘no’ to that, because as much as he hated Bakugou, he didn’t hate you at all.
“That’s not a completely horrible idea.” He almost smirked, especially when he saw Bakugou looking near ready to blow up while you were just smiling and clapping your hands. “Yeah! Let’s do it tonight!” You shook your fists happily, ignoring just how PISSED your boyfriend looked.
“Dammit, NO!” He shouted again, his palms crackling as he glared at the smug-looking purple-haired teen who stood behind you for safety.
Bakugou almost wished that movie was real, just so he could feed this brainwashing bastard to those cave monsters and take you out of the cave to safety. But at least he could dream about that tonight, while you would just dream about Katsuki, and Shinsou would dream about you, and kittens.

Chapter 255...
My god. This chapter hits really hard. The last just burned, and left me with questions but this one... my god did it hurt. Aizawa crying really hits my case hard. It shows how intensely this affected him. As he explains. But that was last chapter. Back in to this one...
Tumblr media
Aizawa is so hit by this fact and I have no idea how that’s going to change things. There will be more nomu coming as shown by previous chapters, with the doctor, and now that Aizawa has really had the realisation that the nomu are human. That could affect him if he fights another nomu in the future.
Not to mention how he’s going to treat his kids(students). He mentioned in the previous chapter (and shown below) that he tests his students because he feels they don’t understand the real meaning of life, or rather they don’t care or feel they shouldn’t care because they will be hero’s and hero’s care more about other people’s life’s then their own.
Tumblr media
Aizawa wants all of his students to grow up and be great and it is his own personal fear that one will turn out like Shirakumo. To contain and control that fear, he threatens his students, saying he will expel them if they don’t reach his standards, while doing such, he looks out for kids he believes won’t be able to survive as a hero, such as Midoriya, who couldn’t use his full potential.
While still looking out for kids that are more problematic, having the exact problem he talks about. He challenges them, sees their reactions and effects of such, then judges. Does this student have potential to live long, is this student too sensitive for this work? He analyses it and tries his best to help each student live.
For example: Midoriya. As I previously mentioned, Aizawa saw that Midoriya wasn’t using his full strength. Now to Aizawa this means two things:
They don’t care enough to use their quirks fully; meaning their ignorant and overconfident .
They are preparing for something big, that will affect their scoring; being this suicidal problem into light.
During the entrance exam, Aizawa saw a student who had the potential to be a great hero but, you didn’t see himself as someone important enough. Aizawa means to correct that out of Midoriya by provoking him, threatening to expel him if he doesn’t try harder. He analysed how Midoriya worked and attempts to show Midoriya ways to think outside the box. You can see Aizawa watching Midoriya below.
Tumblr media
Aizawa sees potential that he doesn’t want to let loose, because clearly it is dangerous for Midoriya, who broke those three limbs for an exam, and in Aizawa’s own right, he’s scared that it might be bad to expel Midoriya. This student is very brash, and clearly has no caring for his own life. This reminds him of Shirakumo. In the end after he scolds Midoriya about crippling himself, and in his own way, inspires Midoriya to try different methods, and think about his own self with more confidence. Aizawa was surprised when Midoriya actually followed that lesson and had knowledge that he needed to change.
Tumblr media
But the big picture of this, Aizawa put a “Death” situation out for the kids, enable to watch their reactions to such, as well as to pick out children who had this “suicidal” problem that he mentions. He looks out for the worst of it, and still observes the kids with a minor predicament of such. He then levels out which ones are too soft for the job afterward he judges and picks out the few, expelling them or leaving them for someone else who could help them more than him.
However, on the point of teaching. There may be a change in the classroom. We know the students of 1-A deeply care about Aizawa, and he cares for them just as passionately. A rather traumatic and long lasting wound has been opened again, so it will affect him. Maybe it’s the way he teaches or cares for his students but it’s going to change something. He might be more protective for example, or strict.
All because this harsh event has brought up something that scares him. He might think his students are more fragile, and they must work harder. He’s more afraid they won’t survive their work, and end up weary of everything they do. I don’t really know how the classroom with change, but I believe it will affect the class, even if subtly.
Now, into another topic. We had already known of the nomus being human, who experimented on, to the point where their bodies swelled and it dehumanized them. Now for the most part, this was blown off, made to look like a small and unimportant fact, in a way. This all changed however with this part...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We now know, nomus do still retain some of that memory from before the experimentation. Also that it can be brought out from close friends or family, or triggered by memories or special moments that occur.
This brings me to another point, the winged nomu.
Ah yes, bane of my existence. One thing I’ve been questioning since I first saw him. He’s very intriguing! It supports thoughts for lots of my theories and makes me sooo curious.
Tumblr media
I bet you all know what the theory is already, and Horikoshi has just been teasing us! Practically telling us that that winged nomu was Bakugou and Midoriya’s childhood friend (“friend” I’m not so sure, bully would be better for Midoriya’s usage, and I’m pretty sure Bakugou would call him an extra).
Tumblr media
Since we now know that nomu’s can retain memories and feelings from their “past life”, it kinda explains the many characters of these nomus. They all act slightly differently from each other. Targeting certain people, or doing certain actions. It creates a bias that they should not be able to understand.
Now the theory is that Tsubasa, the kid, is Dr. Tsubasa’s grandson. Dr. Tsubasa who diagnosed Midoriya as quirkless and as his name implies, is a doctor. Whom of which, obviously specializes in quirk study, growth, and usage. Tsubasa who has large wings, and of which we only knew for a small while, yet he seemed to be a rather memorable character.
The nomu, dubbed as winged nomu, is likely to be Tsubasa, meaning that All For One is linked to Midoriya and Bakugou’s childhoods, both though the doctor and Tsubasa.
Now through that long explanation, you’re likely wondering, “ya but why the heck does that matter in the slightest?” Because the winged nomu picked Midoriya out of the crowd. As shown in the picture, the nomu grasped onto Midoriya, attempting to fly away with him.
(Look at these two. Tell me they aren’t the same person)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why would that nomu specifically pick Midoriya. And from what we know, it had no orders from Shigaraki to do so. So why? Well, now that we know that nomu can regain their memories, what if the nomu, who is possibly Tsubasa, saw Midoriya and recognized him. It could have been that child’s attempt to get help, and try to break free.
We practically know that the winged nomu is Tsubasa but, was he still the slightest coherent enough to grab Midoriya before he died? Also does that change how people will be treating the nomus if this information is spread. Would hero’s be more likely to capture them instead of kill them? I don’t know 🤷🏼‍♀️ but it’s pretty snazzy.
Anyway, I ranted for long enough, please tell you opinions and if you have any opposing thoughts! Yeppers. :D

Title:  On the Shore of his Soul Pairing:  Kacchako Rating: M Word Count: 3,456 Read on Ao3 CHAPTER 2 Summary:
Bakugou Katsuki has always enjoyed his peace and quit, away from people, living as a lighthouse keeper on a tiny island in the bay. But when a storm washes a naked girl onto his shore, his life is thrown into chaos.
Thank you to @its-love-u-asshole and @amaisenshi for reading this!
Bakugou's eye twitched as he stared down Main Street. The town on the mainland had a strip of stores filled with various things, books, trinkets, souvenirs and of course, clothes. But Bakugou hadn't thought this through.
He'd never gone shopping for girl's clothes and he had no idea what to buy. Mostly, he had no idea what her size was, but Bakugou wasn't an idiot when it came to fashion. He knew, generally, what looked good and what didn't.
Just... how the fuck was he supposed to figure out sizes for this girl.
He swallowed and made his way into one of the clothing shops, hoping they would have everything he needed.
Maybe he could figure out her sizes based around his own size. That shirt he'd given her was a little big and that was a large. His shorts also had looked a little big... then again, she did... have a round ass...
He shook his head, and clicked his tongue, trying not to think about what a goddamn pain this all was.
He made his way through the aisles, picking out a few girly shirts and shorts, one pair of sweatpants for nights it got cold, and a pink zip-up hoodie. Hopefully she wouldn't be with him for a long time and she could be on her way and find her actual goddamn clothes.
Turning around, his eyes fell upon a pink dress; there were small green fish on it too, covering most of the bodice. It was a halter, tying up in the back of the neck and it looked as though it would go down to her knees or upper thigh. His eye twitched again; it was cute, she would look cute in it...
Pink. It suited her he thought...
He wasn't here to buy her a whole goddamn wardrobe, but imagining her brown hair framing her face and the dress swirling around her legs...
He snagged one off the rack, again guessing at her size. If it didn't fit, he'd force her to come here and she could buy stuff she wanted or whatever. Eventually he'd make sure she paid him back too.
There was a cough behind him, and Bakugou jumped, narrowing his eyes as he turned around to see who was there. No one.
"Fuck," he grumbled to himself, draping the dress over his arm with the other clothes.
He glanced down at his selections and nodded. He had everything, should've been plenty until-
He swallowed, his eyes turning towards a small table covered in... panties and bras. She didn't have any underwear! She didn't have anything! It was one thing to pick out some clothes, but buying women's panties?! He was certain he was going to look like a fuckin' pervert.
Goddammit.
He had get them. He'd make it fast. Get in and get out.
Stepping over to the table, he heard another strange noise behind him like a gasp, and he whipped his head around. Was someone fuckin' watching him? No. He was just being a paranoid dumbass because of what he was buying.
He narrowed his eyes and pulled a few panties out, draping them on top of the other clothes. Easy enough...
Bras however, were a completely different game. It wasn't like he hadn't seen her breasts, but fuck if he knew what size they were!? He could just grab a few and hope that one was right?! Based on the little chart next to the table, he could assume she wasn't an A cup and probably not higher than a D? But what the hell were the numbers?!? 34 B? 38 C? Fuckin' hell...
There was a soft laugh behind him and he turned around again, glaring angrily at whoever was making him fucking jump.
Out of the corner of his eyes he saw a rush of red hair and blond and he glared harder. What the fuck were they doing here?
Keeping a grip on his clothes, he made his way around the aisle, glaring at the two men ducked down behind a clothing rack.
"Shitty Hair! Sparky! What the fuck are you doing?" Bakugou snapped, his voice echoing loudly through the mostly empty clothing store.
The two froze, and slowly turned around. Kaminari was the first to stand up, trying to play things casual. "Heyyyy Bakubro!" he said, waving once. "Kirishima and I were just... doing some shopping!"
Kirishima rolled his eyes. "Ugh, Kaminari..."
"Yeah, you're really getting shit done by hiding behind the clothing rack!" Bakugou hissed, stomping over to Kaminari to get right in his face. "Stop. Following. Me. I know that's what you two morons are doing!"
Kirishima stood up and gently placed a hand on Bakugou's chest. "Hey man, we're sorry, we're sorry!!" he urged.
Bakugou turned his glare to Kirishima, his nostrils flaring. "You two are the most unsubtle extras ever!"
Sighing Kaminari nodded his head. "We saw you come in here and we honestly came in to say hi, but then we saw you buying girl's clothes and we just had to know what was going on!" Kaminari wailed.
"..." Bakugou turned his head to the pile of clothes in his hand.
Fuck.
What the hell was he supposed to say!? Would they even believe the truth? It was really all Bakugou had to give them.
Thrusting his finger towards Kaminari's chest, he pushed him slightly. "Then fuckin' ask me!" he growled. "Don't fucking make some goddamn assumptions."
"Too late," Kirishima muttered.
"Are you really into crossdressing?!" Kaminari said, and leaned forward. "You know, I think you'd be a really nice looking drag queen if you didn't scowl all the time-AH!"
Lunging forward, Bakugou grabbed at Kaminari's shirt, yanking him towards his face. "Don't. Make. Assumptions."
"Okay, okay!" he said. "It-It was a serious question!"
"B-Bakugou!" Kirishima said, wrapping his hand around Bakugou's wrist so he didn't toss Kaminari through a store window. "Why don't you tell us what's going on? You have to admit, it's a little surprising seeing you buy women's clothes when we know you live out on that island alone. I-I mean just seeing you on the mainland is rare enough!"
Kirishima had a point, Bakugou did avoid the mainland whenever he could.
Growling, he let up his grip on Kaminari's shirt and adjusted the clothes on his arm. "There's this... fuckin' girl," he muttered.
The two boys blinked.
"So you're in love!?" Kaminari asked, eyes wide with excitement.
"I swear to fucking god Sparky, I will make you my lighthouse's lightning rod if you don't shut the fuck up right now!" Bakugou snapped.
"Woah, let’s not jump to any conclusions," Kirishima nodded.
"Fine, fine, go ahead," Kaminari said, looking defeated.
"She washed up on my shore during the goddamn storm. I have no idea who the fuck she is but she won't get in a boat," Bakugou said with a loud huff.
"Wait a minute, she won't tell you who she is?" Kirishima said.
"Yeah she can't talk for some reason."
Kaminari gasped. "Holy shit, she's a mermaid!"
Bakugou rolled his eyes as far back as they would go. "You fuckin' dumb ass, mermaids don't exist," he snorted.
"Uh, yes they do. One is living with you now," he said.
Bakugou turned to Kirishima, ignoring Kaminari. "She doesn't have any clothes, so I came to get her some. I'm gonna force her to come here so she can get out of my goddamn hair."
Frowning, Kirishima folded his arms over his chest. "Maybe she's too scared to get on a boat. You shouldn't force her. I can come out and meet her..." Bakugou bristled, he hated having people come out to his island. Even knowing the girl was there by herself bothered him. "I can see if she looks familiar. A lot of people come through my store," he said.
"I don't want her getting too fuckin' comfortable. She obviously has some sort of trauma. She was stumbling when she was walking and she freaked out at water."
"Mer. Maid," Kaminari said and Bakugou pushed his face away.
"So you think that's why she can't talk? Trauma?"
"Yeah. She needs a fucking doctor," he said.
"I could bring over Iida-"
"No! No one is coming over to my goddamn island!" he snapped. "I'll get her to come over here."
"Okay dude-" Kirishima began but Kaminari let out a groan.
"I can't believe you won't even consider the possibility of her being a mermaid. She washed up on your shore, has no voice, is stumbling around... probably because she's not used to having legs," Kaminari whispered.
"I'm not a fucking moron, Sparky! Mermaids aren't fucking real!" Bakugou yelled, a few people on the other side of the store looked at them, their eyes perplexed.
"What was she wearing when you found her?" Kirishima said, trying to ask productive questions. "Do you have any clues to who she is?"
"Nothin'," he muttered. "She wasn't wearing anything."
"Naked?!" Kirishima asked, his cheeks heating up.
"Yeah..." Bakugou said, letting out a huff of air.
"Oh my god, so did you... see..." Kaminari asked.
"Look, I tried fuckin' not to!" Bakugou snapped and glanced at the panties laid in the pile he held.
"No wonder you're buying so much," Kirishima said, tapping his chin.
"I was really starting to think you had some weird kink for wearing women's panties-" Kaminari immediately stopped when Bakugou's grabbed at his shirt again.
"Shut it, Sparky."
"Okay, okay, but a more important question," Kaminari said, waving his hand. "Is she cute?"
Bakugou let out another growl, dropping Kaminari yet again. Why was he wasting his time talking to these two dipshits? "I need to buy this shit."
"Oh she's gotta be cute," Kaminari said, a smirk pulling across his lips. "And you've already seen her naked! Dude what a jackpot!"
"Jackpot?" Bakugou snorted, turning around to glare him. "The idiot is fuckin' traumatized and doesn't know who the fuck she is. That's not a jackpot, that's a pain in my goddamn ass."
Okay. Just because the girl was maybe a little cute, didn't mean anything. For all he knew she could be married or with someone else or... whatever. He didn't know anything about this girl, and he needed to convince her to get on the boat so he could get her out of his goddamn hair and off his goddamn island.
"Okay, but the whole naked idea really does make it seem like she's a mermaid," Kaminari said in a sing-song tone.
"Fuck off," Bakugou snapped. "I need to buy this shit and get out off the goddamn mainland."
Kirishima raised his hands, trying to calm Bakugou down. "I get that it's probably not easy," he said softly. "Seriously, I can come out to the island-"
"No. No one is coming out to the island. I'll bring her in a few days and you can look after her here on the mainland. She can see a doctor, get treated and it won't be my goddamn problem anymore," he said.
"Alright, alright," Kirishima sighed. "We'll leave you alone."
"Good!" he yelled.
Without saying bye to either of them, he stormed over the register. From a small display next to it, he grabbed her a pair of pink flip-flops, placing them on top of the pile. He didn't lock eyes with the salesperson, too frustrated to look at her judging eyes. He watched the woman ring up the panties and the slew of bras and he tried not to look at her. "What a good boyfriend you are," she hummed. "Buying all these clothes for her! She must be spoiled!"
"She's not my girlfriend!" he snapped and the woman's eye widened.
"Ah... Apologies..." The woman said and looked at the clothes with a curious expression.
Fuck. He should've just let it be. Now she probably thought he had an affinity for wearing women's panties.
"Just... a friend," he said, clenching his teeth.
"Wow!" she laughed softly. "What a lucky friend!"
"Yeah, yeah," he scoffed. He paid for the clothes and grabbed the bag away from the woman.
After seeing Kaminari and Kirishima, he'd decided he'd spent far too much time on the mainland. Too many people, too many idiots.
He had to get back.
~~
He pulled the boat up to his dock, tying the rope into a knot against the pole. He glanced up at his house, wondering what the idiot was doing. He prayed she hadn't done anything to ruin his house or anything.
He growled as he yanked the two bags of clothes up, carrying them up the stairs to the house.
Swinging the door open, he stepped inside. "Oi. Cheeks. I got the-"
A loud patter of feet was heard on the wooden floor as she came running towards him, flinging her arms around him and burying her face against his chest.
He froze, hating the unexpected contact. Why the hell was she hugging him!?
"Oi!" he said, dropping the bags to the ground. He pressed on her shoulders, trying to push her away, but she clung to him hard.
She looked up at him, her brown eyes wide and filled with concern.
Shit. He had to glance away from her.
"What the hell is your problem?" he muttered, finally getting her off of him when she loosened her grip. Maybe she had been nervous to see him leave on a boat. Maybe she thought he wouldn't come back, despite being so close to the land.
Rubbing his forehead, he reached down to grab the bags, shoving them towards her. "Here," he said. "Go try this shit on. If it doesn't fit I have to go back."
She stumbled backwards, holding the two bags in her hands as she turned around to sit on the couch, her brown locks bouncing as she did.
Opening the first one, she pulled out a bra and tilted her head looking at it.
"Look, I couldn't measure you or anything and I didn't know your size so if it doesn't fit we'll just take it-"
He paused as he watched her remove his shirt, her round breasts bouncing against her chest. "What the hell, Cheeks!?" he yelled, immediately covering his eyes. He turned his head to the ground, flicking his gaze up momentarily to see she was staring at him now, still completely shirtless.
Did she have absolutely no shame?
"Hurry up and put something on!" he snapped.
She blinked and reached into the bag, pulling out one of the pink shirts he'd gotten for her. She tugged it on over her head, foregoing the bra.
Well, he supposed it was something.
She reached into the bag and pulled out the dress, her eyes widening as she did. She looked at him with pure excitement and then hugged the garment to her chest, holding it close. Well, at least she liked the damn thing.
Rubbing his forehead, Bakugou let out a long sigh. "Go into my room and change into what you want," he said, gesturing to his bedroom.
She puffed out her cheeks and nodded, standing up with the bags in her hand.
She disappeared into his room and Bakugou shoved his hands into his pocket. He was already exhausted and it was barely noon. He still had to work on the lighthouse and get the foghorn working properly. He could do that after they ate.
He glanced around the small house, looking to see if anything seemed weird or out of place. Currently, it didn't look like anything was missing or moved. Maybe she really hadn't done anything while he was gone.
For some reason an image of her sitting on the couch, happily waiting for him popped up in his mind. She seemed idiotic enough to do something like that.
He thought about Kaminari and his dumb ass theory that she was a mermaid and let out a snort. What a fuckin' idiot. Besides the fact mermaids weren't real, it was so obvious to him the girl needed help. She was jumpy and scared and didn't know what she was doing most of the time.
The door creaked open, and she stepped out wearing some of the clothes he had bought her. Brown shorts hugged her ass tightly, and he pursed his lips. Clearly he should've bought her something a little less fitted. She kept the pink shirt on, but at least had put on one of the bras. As far as he could tell, she didn't have any complaints.
She smiled, linking her hands behind her back as she stood in front of him, as if waiting for him to say something about the outfit she choose.
"Yeah, yeah," he muttered. "I'm glad you're not fucking naked anymore. Let's eat lunch. I got work to do."
She tilted her head, but walked over to him in the kitchen, watching as he pulled some greens from the refrigerator to make a salad. Grabbing a bowl from the counter, she watched him wide-eyed as he poured the greens into the bowl, pulling some carrots and other veggies from the cabinet.
Reaching forward, she picked a small leaf up and held it close to her face, sniffing it.
"Oi," he growled. "What the hell are you doing?!"
She immediately dropped the leaf back in the bowl and backed up. "No," he snorted, picking it up and handing it to her. "You eat this one."
Tilting her head again, she took the leaf from him and stared at it before putting into her mouth. She hummed, rocking back and forth on her feet and immediately reached forward to grab another but Bakugou slapped her hand away.
"Sit down. I'll give you a fuckin' bowl. Why the hell are you such a barbarian?"
She puffed out her cheeks and moved to the table, taking a seat in the same chair. She folded her arms across her chest in a huff.
He needed to get this girl out of his house.
He mixed the salad together, scooping some into a small bowl for her as he placed some dressing and a fork down on the table.
"After this, I need to work on the lighthouse and you're going to stay out of my goddamn way."
She let out a long sigh, attacking the salad with her fork as she shoved a large bite into her mouth.
"I don't know what you're getting all huffy about Cheeks!" he snapped. "This is my damn job and nothing is going to disrupt that. You can't stay here forever," he said.
Her brown eyes widened and she stopped chewing, staring at him.
"I told you this. I'll give you a few days but then I'm taking you to the fuckin' mainland and you can go see a doctor and figure out who the fuck you are."
She swallowed and put the fork down, shaking her head back and forth.
"Cheeks, you don't have a choice in this."
She pouted and picked up the fork again, slamming it down against the bowl as she shoved more of the salad into her mouth.
Why was she so upset? Shouldn't she want to find out who she was? Shouldn't she want to get away from him and actually go back to where normal people were?
He carried his bowl over to the sink, and she jolted when he turned the water on, jumping up from the chair. Why the hell was she so afraid of the damn water?!
Turning it off, he rolled his eyes. "It's just a fuckin' sink, it's not going to hurt you."
She shook her head again, taking a deep breath. Moving closer to him, she leaned against his arm. She reached forward and pulled the handle towards them, the sink turning on. She gasped, and clung to his arm, her eyes widening and blinking.
He watched her reach forward slowly, letting the water wash over her fingers. Her skin was soft, glistening under the distortion of the water and she pulled back, looking at her hand, droplets of water dripping from her skin.
Her eyes were wide as she stared at her fingers and Bakugou shook his head.
"Told ya'," he scoffed, turning the sink off. "Now stay here and don't touch anything!" he snapped, stepping away.
He didn't have time for this girl and her issues with the water. He needed her to get over it so he could take her to the mainland. Bakugou didn't really care what her damn problems were; he just needed her to get off of his island so things could return to fucking normal.

Todoroki breaks down a part of falling for her.
Disclaimer: Inspired by the Drama CD, hence the dialogue coming from there. Enjoy!
It’s the little things that built up over time.
From the way she was not hesitant to speak her thoughts, even though some might have clarified those as brutal honesty; or the way she gave every situations their classmates were put in perfect analyses and was able to provide a solution to go with them; or how her Quirk was not solely based on physical ability, but her vast knowledge of seemingly everything beyond what a high schooler should know...
The first stage was admiration, he thinks.
He had told her back then, during the practical examination against Mr. Aizawa, that he voted for her to become their Class Rep, because he had believed in her. Thinking back, part of him was still guilty to having betrayed his own trust in her in the spur of the moment like that, not asking for her own plan.
But she never disappointed him.
Never has, and never will.
Todoroki wishes he wasn’t so oblivious during their first year. It slowly began, step by step, like a flower blossoming. From admiring her top-class achievements and her skills as an aspiring to-become-hero in general, it shifted to the little details.
He may not seem like he reacts much to the normalcy around him and it’s true — silent observation has always been his forte.
In class, when she tilts her head downwards every now and then to scribble down the notes with her exquisite handwriting, the several strands of her silky dark hair she always lets loose would frame around the curve of her face in such a perfect fit that it was satisfying for him to look at. Sometimes she’ll brush them away and tuck them neatly behind her ear, other times she’ll leave them and allow her piercing gaze to be shielded from his glance.
He wonders if she knows.
Sitting next to her bears great advantages. Before the sudden development of his interest in Yaoyorozu Momo, he could care less to where he sat at, as long as it was not next to someone loud-mouthed, like Bakugou. He enjoyed the quietness and less attention directed towards him, being at the end of the classroom and all.
But lately it’s been setting off a strange trigger in his carefully confined emotions, because that small distance between their desks is too close and not far enough for him to reject the very, very addictive scent that comes from Yaoyorozu Momo. He doesn’t mean to sound like a creep, but he can’t help himself when it comes to her, and for the first time in his life, Todoroki Shoto is frightened by something that means no harm to him.
He shakes his head at the thought.
Her fragrance is subtle and sweet, fitting of her nature. She smells like jasmines, delicacy and a very faint scent of something familiar that he can’t quite put a grasp on— now that he thinks about it, it is a very distinct aroma of green tea, his go-to beverage, with a mix of another brand, assuming one she favors. All of those ingredients are added together to make an aura that is uniquely hers, and it’s dangerously intoxicating whenever he catches a whiff of that essence. It’d wrap him into a blanket of warmth, comfort and everything delightful in contrast to the sweaty, musky hindrance Kirishima counted as a “manliness odor” that he was used to.
At some points, Todoroki feels like he has managed to turn his mentality upside down and overanalyzed the situation, but he never overanalyzes and he has to consider the fact that it’s just something that happens when he starts paying closer attention to anyone. But the messy bedhead of Midoriya disinterests him, and Iida sure smells nowhere as pleasant as Yaoyorozu does. Then he tries switching to the other girls and quickly decides that he isn’t ready because it just feels... wrong for unknown reasons and it frustrates him, so he goes back to her.
And it gets worse, because he starts noticing the many ways her voice differs. When she gives her opinions on a serious matter, she sounds exactly like an adult would — mature and well-thought, her speech neatly organized in her head. Then he picks up on the rising pitches in the way she speaks whenever she gets excited about something, and what matters is that she’ll give a big, radiant smile then — one that shows off those cute dimples and twinkling eyes and—
He definitely has problems.
But there are times when she doesn’t smile, and he knows it all too well without her awareness. She’ll look traumatized, insecure, reluctant and stressed out all at once and it makes his hands clench into fists, because unknowingly when, he feels responsible to protect her smile and her well-being in general. It’s foolish, he knows, and he shouldn’t have any reasons for it but he does. He does and they’re selfish, but he can’t restrain them.
As if the more he tries suppressing these feelings, the higher chance it is for them to burst.
The evening of Ennichi Festival, he catches her wandering there, not quite participating in the event but not a complete outcast either, save for the fact that she is standing alone. She seems to be... nervous? And mumbling as well, he‘s not sure. But he has to stop for a moment to drink in the scene in front of him.
It’s the first time he’s ever seen her in traditional garb, he muses, which is a surprise given the time they’ve known each other.
Yaoyorozu Momo is gorgeous, even more so in a cherry red patterned yukata, its color matching her hero suit. He marvels over the way the outfit fits her wonderfully, with a golden obi around her waist. She has her hair up in a slightly different way tonight: instead of her ponytail, all of her hair has been clipped away neatly to reveal her neck, accompanied with some more flower hairpins that stood out against the dark tresses, and the fallout strands are there as always to frame her face.
This isn’t good. Should he approach her? Can he even?
“Yaoyorozu.”
His body moves before his mind can process, and he feels a little bad for startling her, because she turns to him with a short but punctuated gasp and stutters out his name, her eyes wide like a deer caught in the headlights.
“T-Todo...Todoroki-san?! Why are you here?!”
“Why do you ask? Am I not supposed to be here at the Ennichi?”
He screwed up. He hasn’t intended for it to sound so rude in his head, but his damned mouth has already run and he can only pray she won’t get offended. Knowing her, Yaoyorozu wouldn’t, yet still.
“...That’s not what I meant.”
The fact that her voice sounds a lot more timid than it is usually doesn’t help him feel any better, and one of the most logical solutions now is to fix the situation quickly. He is probably overreacting again, but...
“Suits you well,” he mumbles, but she misses it and looks at him questioningly.
“Your yukata,” he explains, and mentally signs in relief as he watches her face goes from a rosy hue to full-out blushing. She stammers a little before she can properly thank him, as though she has never received a compliment before. He notes that she isn’t looking directly in his eyes anymore, and that’s good. He’ll make a risky move next, but if it works out, it’ll be worth it.
“What’s wrong? Let’s go,” he tells her, not as request, but not quite as stern as a command either.
“Let’s go? Where are we going?” She questions back, puzzled.
This girl...is going to be the death of him someday.
“It’s obvious. We’re going to the festival. Or are you going to just loiter around and hide?”
Heavens above, that might as well have been his second chance thrown away out of the window. It is normal of him to speak that way, but he knows some people think of it as him being rude, and while they’re both classmates he still doesn’t want to ris—
“...In that case, please escort me if you don’t mind, Todoroki-san!”
If he doesn’t mind? Of course he doesn’t mind. Not when she’s granting him that ever so radiant smile of her and calling his name like that, even if it’s his family one. He is thankful for his quick reflexes, has it not been for him to turn his head away in time, she would’ve surely seen the very obvious fluster on his face underneath all of these lanterns.
“I don’t know much about the festivals, so don’t depend on me...”
The rest of the evening goes on smoothly, much to his delight. The food is acceptable and the events are fairly entertaining enough to keep him around, though he has to admit, he enjoys them better because Yaoyorozu is around. Only then, he gets to see her face lights up at all the wonders around her, gets to see more and more of her smiles, her laughs, her quirky antics — and all of those make the moments worthwhile.
“...Todoroki-san, can I ask you a question?” She speaks up suddenly, trailing behind him as they head towards an open field of grass. He nods.
“Do you like the festival?”
Does he like spending time in her company? Yes. Does he like talking to her? Yes. But the festival itself... Well, it’s true he didn’t know she was going to be here in the first place.
“To be honest, I neither like it or hate it.”
Yaoyorozu seems to hesitate slightly at his answer before continuing on with the conversation.
“Then... why are you here?”
He stops in his track. They are standing in the middle of the field now, letting the summer breezes dance through their hair. He makes sure Yaoyorozu can only see part of his face, because it’ll be rude if he turns away completely, but he doesn’t want her to see even if he’s barely showing any emotions.
“I thought I should come here once, since I’ve never been before. To Ennichi, or any other festivals that have happened...”
A surprise and confused gasp escapes her lips. The next part of his reply comes without any thinking.
“Normally, you do this with your family. By the looks of it, all of these families here look like they’re enjoying themselves. It’s obvious. It’s a normal thing to do, but I...”
“...Todoroki-san...”
He pauses mid-sentence and lets out a huff, looking away from the ground. He must’ve completely made a fool of himself now. Who was he to say such words? He doesn’t want pity from anyone, especially not from her. Hell, he didn’t want to complain or whine about it in the first place and he still doesn’t know where all of that suddenly came from. Does she see him as a pathetic child now? A loner? Would she think any less of him?
“...Sorry. What am I doing, talking about this to someone else?”
She doesn’t respond, so he clenches his fist and turns to walk away from her completely.
“I’m going home. See you later, Yaoyorozu.”
“Todoroki-san!”
He has barely turned to look back at his classmate when the sounds of small explosions fill the air. For a brief moment, the whole world is lightened up and he is glad he hasn’t left, because if he has, he wouldn’t have been able to see this now.
“Fireworks.”
He says, but he is staring at her rather than the actual show going on. She is looking in awe at the numerous colors and patterns being drawn out on the sky, her glimmering eyes and delicate beauty illuminated in the glow of the fireworks, her smile bursting with joy and it is that moment that he decides, awestruck, that Yaoyorozu Momo is the most beautiful human being on this planet, inside and out.
“Isn’t it beautiful?” She whispers dreamily.
He means to say you are, but can do nothing else but gives a short yes in reply.
“...But I’m not just someone else.”
The statement comes so suddenly that it takes him aback. Todoroki turns to the dark-haired girl, whose eyes are still focus on the bursting display in front of her, but her attention directing towards him. You’re not, he wants to say, but instead the words never form and he only gives her yet another yes.
“I am... a classmate friend of yours from the hero course. Iida-san, Midoriya-san, Uraraka-san... All of us. We are Todoroki-san’s comrades from Class A.”
Ah, yes. He doesn’t want to keep getting stuck in the past, so he’ll have to focus on the present and the future. That’s why his friends are here. All of them, even though they have their ups and downs, there isn’t one moment where he’s regretted meeting any of their classmates.
/ Yaoyorozu, thank you for reminding me. /
He looks at her, but doesn’t have the courage to say his thoughts aloud. For now, he is content with watching her from afar. They’re still so young, despite almost graduating UA, with their hopes and dreams unachieved and a whole career of potentials ahead of them. Sometimes later in the future, he’ll ask her out. When they’re both older and their works have settled down, then he’ll definitely take his chance if she’d let him.
For now, this will be sufficient.
“...Is that so...?” He asks again just for reassurance, but trails off, and with her ever so gentle voice that works like a charm to engulf him with warmth, she replies, proudly.
“Yes.”

Can I request a scenario - or headcanon if you don't want to do a scenario - of Todoroki's s/o and Momo ( one of Todoroki's closest friends ) who hate each other? It can be about Todoroki finding out that they can't stand each other, how he deal with it.. Anything, I leave the story to you :^) I just thought it would be funny since Momo is one of my faves and Todoroki my fave lol
Hi dear! Omg, I laughed so much when I read it the first time because, really, poor Todoroki. We girls can be hella scary when mad! I choose to do headcanons because I had too many ideas and didn’t know how to combine them together I hope it’s fine! It was so funny to write, thank you! (In case you want more, let me know what!)
Have a nice day!
Todoroki x ReaderWhoHatesMomo Headcanons
-Okay, let’s be honest. Todoroki doesn’t get it immediately that you and Momo hate each other. It’s true that you tried to hide it a bit, but he’s just dense. He also can’t quite understand why. I mean, Momo is such a nice girl?
When he says that to you, you usually growl and he backs off because he can still recognize when an animal is angry and dangerous.
-Imagine all the little moments when is totally confused because he doesn’t know of your rivalry.
“SO…is that Bakugou’s extra-spicy tabasco sauce?”
“Uhm…yes?”
“And isn’t that Momo’s glass?”
“Uh! How stupid of me! I made a mistake.”
“There’s her name written on it.”
“Then I just made a big mistake.”
“Wait- What was that?”
“What, Shouto?”
“The expression Momo just made, for half of a second.”
“A glare, Shouto. It was a glare.”
“Momo doesn’t glare. She doesn’t know how to glare.”
“How naïve. Trust me, she glares and she’s good at it.”
“I didn’t know Momo knew that kind of words…”
“Yeah, she came up with new creative insults recently.”
“What? You have heard her swearing before?”
“I’m her principal inspiration, of course, I’ve heard her swearing before.”
“During training, we shouldn’t send our adversary to the infirmary SO!”
“Tell Momo.”
“I would, but she’s lying unconscious in a bed in the infirmary!”
“Aren’t you proud of how strong your girlfriend is?”
“I’m more concerned about your smirk now.”
“Which smirk?”
“The one that you’re making now, the same Bakugou shows when he looks at Midoriya.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
-The moment you two finally tell him the truth he’s dumbfounded. He doesn’t know how to react, just stays there in silence as you two start quarreling about something trivial.
It dawns on him like a cold shower: this is going to be hell.
-He gives you The Talk where he explains that it’s not a problem for him until things don’t escalate and he won’t force the two of you to be friends. He also asks you to be honest but not exaggerated. The last part went unheard, the only thing you promise is to try and fight when he’s not present.
-He usually tries to divide his time wisely. He spends an afternoon or have lunch/coffee with Momo at least once or twice a week to not lose her friendship, but spend the rest of the time with you.
-However, during group hang-outs or parties he suffers. A lot. Sometimes he freezes the two of you when things escalate or picks you up and drags you away, while Mina or Jirou keep Moko down and try to calm her.
Unfortunately, he can’t freeze your tongues. He never knew that coldness and sharp witness could be that devastating without using a single curse, he’s partially impressed.
-It’s going to remain impressed in everyone’s memory the day Bakugou clapped during a particularly heated verbal fight between you and Momo and whistled an “I’m fucking impressed.” Todoroki slammed his head against the table.
-The only times he takes action seriously, it’s when you start feeling insecure or doubting his love for you. Saying that maybe he’d be better off with Momo. He accepts none of that crap. He makes you sit down, cups your cheeks and speaks in a calm, but firm voice.
“I’ve chosen you, not Momo. She’s a dear friend, yet you’re my only girlfriend and the only person I love with all my heart. This is something you should never doubt.”
His kisses afterward are very convincing.
-Everyone is surprised that in the end, he gets used to it. Freezing you both, dragging you away, placing a hand on your mouth, wrapping an arm around your waist to keep you calm…he’s unfazed, face blank as usual.
-He also gets resigned to the fact he’s going to be an accidental, innocent victim of the pranks you to make to each other. He’s going to never forget the day he drank the tea Momo had salted thinking it was yours.
He’s also very wary of doors and strange objects in the bed. Or unknown food/drinks. Or wrapped gifts. Or…well, practically everything unknown.
-The only days you establish a truce are Christmas and Todoroki’s birthday. They’re the most important occasions of the year and you have to join forces to make him happy. First thing is forcing him to celebrate with everyone and not getting stuck at home with Endeavour. Second, you accompany him to his mother (She’s known about the rivalry from the moment she met you and finds it incredibly funny). Third, you give him the hugs and warmth he deserves.
-You’ve learnt that when Todoroki clicks his tongue and frowns, he’s going to freeze you. So, suddenly you and Momo are all quiet and calm again, seated and enjoying the company.
-Bakugou cheers for you and Todoroki smacks his head every time he yells aloud to “beat her ass”. Obviously, this enrages the blond and in ten seconds you and Momo have to put your rivalry aside and avoid Bakugou and Todoroki destroy something.
-Rumors say that Todoroki has once asked Shinsou to use his Quirk to keep the two of you calm and peaceful for a day. Rumors also say actually Shinsou refused because he finds your arguments amusing. Someone dared to say he and Bakugou have bets going on.
-Aizawa once put the two of you training together so that you could vent and sort it all out. His mistake. He had to deactivate your quirks. Todoroki was slightly traumatized: he didn’t expect to feel such a blood-thirst coming from his favorite, petite girls.
-All the girls find this situation amusing and the force the two of you to behave during all-girls outings. You’ve soon discovered that an angry Uraraka is scarier than everybody else, even than Aizawa.
-Todoroki’s worst nightmare? The “Who’s right?” Question. Different people testify they have seen him fleeing from the window once.
