Good god, ok… I started getting tired around year 10 and I just finished this a few minutes ago (it’s past 3 am). There are a lot of plots at the beginning that don’t differentiate between meta lore plots and world lore plots but they become distinctly separate at year 6. The crossed out dates are because I’d like to come up with month names that don’t sound as infantile as the canonical ones.
Neopets Timeline:
Faeries arrive in Neopia. (Year unknown)
Queen Fyora ascends to the throne and unites the elements. (Year unknown)
Calabrus gifts the faeries a magic bowl and Faerieland is created with the aid of said artifact. (Year still unknown)
Altador gathers his companions. (Year unknown)
City of Altador founded. (Year unknown)
Darkest Faerie betrays Altador and is turned to stone and banished by Queen Fyora and the sorceress Jerdana. (993 SE/BN)
Qasala seemingly abandoned and buried in supernatural sandstorm-Razul’s curse takes hold of the city. (193 SE)
Neovia cursed its residents returning as ghosts once every Halloween. (Year 2 SE)
Faerieland discovered. (approx. Year 1 KE)
Dr. Sloth attempts to take over Neopia by turning neopets into VirtuPets. (Year 2 KE)
Tyrannia and the Chomby are discovered. War breaks out in Tyrannia soon after. (March 20th-May 10th Year 3 KE)
Lost Desert discovered. (June 12th-July 10th Year 3 KE)
Investigation of the murder of King Coltzan III by Princess Sankara. (July 9th-16th Year 3 KE)
Retrieval of Coltzan’s crown. (July 17th-19th Year 3 KE)
Destruction of Maraqua and discovery of Krawk Island. (August 17th-23rd Year 3 KE)
Lord Darigan tries and fails to conquer Meridell. (Year 4 KE)
Mystery island nearly destroyed. (Year 5 KE)
Lord Kass tries and fails to conquer Meridell. Lord Darigan reinstated as the ruler of the Citadel (February 2nd-May 13th Year 6 KE)
Bori discovered and the Bringer of Night defeated. (October 21st-December 22nd Year 6 KE)
Maraqua rediscovered. (March 15th-June 10th Year 7 KE)
Qasala rediscovered and Razul’s curse lifted. (August 30th-November 29th Year 7 KE)
The Darkest Faerie freed and imprisoned again. Altador rejoins Neopia. (November 15th Year 7 KE)
The Wand of Wishing is retrieved and hidden away again. (March 14th Year 8 KE)
Shenkuu discovered. (August 3rd-September 8th Year 8 KE)
Neovia discovered and its curse lifted. (October 3rd-November 21st Year 8 KE)
Roxton A. Colchester III and Co. discover and subsequently lose an island inhabited by giant mutant petpetpets. An event all involved would rather forget. (Year 9 KE)
Dr. Sloth tries and once more fails to conquer Neopia by mutating neopets but differently this time. (Year 10 KE)
Moltara discovered and global warming averted. (Year 11 KE)
Faerieland falls at the hands of the sorceress Xandra. (Year 12 KE)
Krawk island disappears and is reformed in an effort led by Gavril McGill. (Year 13 KE)
First time in over a decade where nothing (officially canonical) of note has happened. (Year 14 KE)
Discovery of Tyrannian obelisk. Obelisk war begins. (Year 15 KE)
Diplomatic crisis at Lost Desert trade summit averted. (Year 16 KE)
Nothing (officially canonical) of note occurs. (Years 17-18 KE)
Darkest Faerie is freed and begins an attempt to take revenge on all Neopia. (February Year 19 KE)
Darkest Faerie is defeated and flees, weakened, into the Haunted Woods. (May Year 20 KE)
Diplomatic tension in the Lost Desert and subsequent rising and quelling of Sakhmet rebellion. (November 19th Year 20-March 2nd Year 21 KE)
Legends and Letters. (Year 21 KE)
Nothing (officially canonical) of note occurs. (Years 22-24 KE)
The faerie Luxinia is discovered on a small piece of Faerieland that survived the fall and freed from a crystal. New Faerieland is founded with Luxinia as mayor. (Year 25 KE)

The Wheel of the Year
The Wheel of the Year is celebrated (usually) by Pagans and looks at the annual cycle of seasonal festivals. It includes the solstices and equinoxes, as well as the midpoints between them. As the festivals are based on British Paganism from the mid-20th century, there are Celtic Fire Festivals (or “Cross-Quarter Days”) which count for 4 of the festivals altogether - if you don’t want to celebrate these, then it’s perfectly alright not to. The Wheel of the Year is cyclical and so follows the idea of life, death and rebirth. Also, just because you practice witchcraft, doesn’t mean that you have to follow the Wheel of the Year - Witchcraft is not a religion, but a practice.
However, I follow the Wheel of the Year and so that’s why I’m putting this out there!
So to start, we’ve got our Solar Festivals;
Yule (Winter Solstice)
Ostara (Spring Equinox)
Litha (Summer Solstice)
Mabon (Autumnal Equinox)
The Solar Festivals celebrate the peak of each season and are decided by where the sun is in relation to the Earth.
And then there’s our Celtic Fire Festivals;
Imbolc/Bride
Beltaine
Lughnasadh/Lammas
Samhain
The Celtic Fire Festivals are the “entry” to the season and are seen to have tons of seasonal energy. This energy is usually released with a bonfire being lit. They’re like the midpoints between the Solstices and the Equinoxes, and can be called “Cross-Quarter Days”.
The Wheel of the Year isn’t the “End-All” or “Complete Collection” of festivals that you can celebrate, but it gives structure to the year and so most witches adapt to it. If there’s a holiday that you have and love, add it in and have some fun!
Samhain
"The end and the beginning of the Celtic Year” - L. Lister
In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from October 31st to November 1st
In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from April 30th to May 1st
So, I pronounce this like “sow-en” but I am Irish so it’s that Gaeilge accent coming out of me. This is also known as “Halloween” to those that don’t follow the Wheel of the Year, or “All Hallow’s Eve”. When we look at the cyclical nature of the Wheel of the Year, it stands for that in between moment where we stare and anticipate death. During this festival, the veil between the Living and the Dead is thin, and so it’s about remembering those that have passed before us.
Typically, witches will work with the dead and try to communicate with spirits and wandering ghosts.
Yule
“Festival of rebirth, midwinter, the shortest day and longest night of the year” - L. Lister
In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from December 20th to the 23rd
In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from June 20th to 23rd
Pronounced exactly how it looks, Yule is also called “Midwinter” commonly and “Alban Arthan” within modern Druid traditions. It’s the turning point of the year where we celebrate the fact that the sun is coming back and with it the life of the Earth. Basically we’re sick of winter and want summer back.
Typically, witches celebrate with warm drinks, Yule logs and evergreen trees decorated for the spirits of winter.
Imbolc/Imbolg/Bride
“The Earth’s awakening” - L. Lister
In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from January 31st to February 2nd
In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from July 31st to August 2nd
This festival has a lot of names, in case you couldn’t tell. Pick whichever you prefer and vibe with it - it honestly doesn’t really matter which you choose because they all mean the same festival in essence. So Bride isn’t pronounced how you think it is, it’s “bri-ja” like the word “bridge” but stretched out. It is not pronounced like a groom and bride!
Imbolg celebrates the return of spring, and is originally a festival that celebrated the goddess Brigid, later turned into Saint Brigid through Christianisation.
Typically, witches will light torches and celebrate using fire in every form, symbolising the light that is coming with Spring.
Ostara
“The first day of Spring, day and night are equal” - L. Lister
In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from March 21st to 22nd
In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from September 21st to 22nd
This festival is attributed to Eostre (an Old English Goddess/ Anglo-Saxon Goddess). Basically, it’s about how excited everyone is now that spring is here. Ostara is now Easter - hares and eggs are the symbols of Eostre. The Equinox is all about fertility, new life and the idea of harmony and balance. Light and dark are equal, and the light is only growing stronger. Bluntly put, Ostara is the run-up for Beltaine (the prep work kinda?), since it’s all gaining the favour of a fertility goddess which is then put to the test at the next festival .
Typically, witches will paint eggs and basically dedicated the festival to celebrating fertility.
Beltaine
“ Heralding Summer, festival of fertility” - L. Lister
In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated on the 1st of May
In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from October 31st to November 1st
So I’m cheating on this one..... Beltaine (”bell-ten-aah”) can be spelt Bealteinne, Bealtaine and Beltane, but I’m Irish so I use the Irish/Gaeilge spelling and pronunciation.
Beltaine is the first day of summer and was celebrated by people jumping over fires to ensure their fertility - it was symbolic and the idea that if you cleared the fire with no problems, then you’re definitely gonna be fertile and conceive super easily. The veil between the world is thin during this time, and so it’s perfect to communicate with spirits - human and not.
Typically, witches have a lot of sex and go for nature walks.
Litha
“Summer’s height, the longest day and the shortest night” - L. Lister
In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from June 20th to the 23rd
In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from December 20th to 23rd
At the Summer Solstice, the sun is high and bright in the sky and is at its peak for the year. It can be called “Midsummer” as well, as after it the dark starts to creep back into our days.
Here’s a fun fact, so June is blessed with the Mead Moon or Honey Moon, and as June was considered super lucky, couples would get married during it. Newlyweds would have to drink mead all day for a month after their wedding for tradition and so this period of time was known as their “honeymoon”, and is where we get the term from!
Typically, witches will eat fresh fruits and experience the power of the sun through meditating outdoors, going for a walk, and charging spells, crystals, and herbs. Divination is practised at night during this time!
Lughnasadh/Lammas
“Festivals of gratitude and marriage” - L. Lister
In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from July 31st to August 1st
In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from February 1st to 2nd
So this is a bit different..... this festival has two names coming from two different origins and this can affect how you celebrate (you can also choose to just not care about that too, either-or really). Lughnasadh is an old way of spelling it, but the modern Irish way is spelt Lúnasa (”loo-na-sah”), if you prefer one way of spelling over the other then choose that one (they’re pronounced the same btw!). Lammas is the Anglo-Saxon version and translates to loaf mass, whereas Lughnasagh was dedicated to the Celtic god of fire, Lugh.
It’s the festival of the first harvest, so things like baking bread and eating fruits, handfasting and just having a great time on a hill or a mountain (this is something people did for Lugh but I’ll go over that another time).
Typically, witches will bake bread in the shape of a man and eat it, drinking wine (personally, I like rosé) and all around just doing things that relax you.
Mabon
“Festival of harvest, when day and night are equal” - L. Lister
In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from September 20th to 23rd
In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s celebrated from March 20th to 23rd
This.... This right here..... This is my favourite festival. It’s also known as Meán Fómhair (”man” - “foh-er”/”fore” - depends on dialect) in Irish/Gaeilge and is about sharing the last of the harvest amongst others. There’s a lot of bread baking for this holiday as well and I am absolutely enthralled about that. It’s got all the vibes of spiced apples, cinnamon sticks and pastry pies rolled up into one.
Typically, witches will bake apple pie and bread, do some autumn house cleaning, and decorate using acorns and corn.
And that’s the Wheel of the Year! I’ll have a more in depth post where I go over each festival to the point of tears, but for now this is the bare bones of it all!
Thanks for coming to my Witch Talk xx

Wiccan Holidays!
My Kind of Holidays
With my family we celebrate Christmas, New Year, Easter, Halloween (debatable nowadays) and Thanksgiving, we do them the American way by shopping and buying stuff from retail stores because what’s more American than selling holiday stuff at high prices once a year!
BUT! With wicca, there’s more holidays. Ones that you don’t see getting stuffed down your throat.
I will be listing the different one’s I’ve found as you read and I’ll give my own little notes and thoughts about them!
Yule
Yule, the Winter Solstice spans between December 20th to the 23th or 22th depending, it’s basically the longest night of the winter, celebrated as the end of the year and the beginning of a new year. It’s a time for a renewal in hope and inspirations. It’s basically New Year’s Eve and Day but during the span of Christmas Week.
Brigid’s Day
Brigid’s Day is from February 1st to 2nd and it’s the preparation for the upcoming spring akin to GroundHog Day. It’s a day to start the process of spring cleaning of your house and environment and of your mind and spirit so that new growth and change can take place.
Eostar
Eostar or the Spring Equinox is from March 20th to the 23rd or 22nd just as Yule. This is the day that spring has come or will be coming very soon and symbolizes a time for birth and renewal for the spring since the ice will thaw and animals will start showing up again. Very much like Daylight Saving Times, spring forward and start being much more productive with more daylight.
Beltane
Beltane or May Eve is the very last day of April or the First of May. It’s described at the union between the Goddess and the God to mark the beginning of a new growing season and is seen as a light hearted holiday meant to bring up spirits and motivation for the new summer approaching. By then it’d be near the end of a school year and the start of the summer vacation, so I can understand that sense of uplifted spirits and joy surrounding the beginning of May.
The Summer Solstice
The Summer Solstice or Litha starts just as Yule, June 20th, 21, 22nd or 23rd. It’s the longest day of the year and the shortest night of the year. This holiday signifies the middle of the summer season as the forests and wildlife are in full bloom and the looming Autumn season and the time for harvest.
Lammas
Lammas or Lughnasad is August 1, for the ancient pagans spelled out hope and fear since this was the day the harvest of crops and food would begin and also preparing food for the cold months for survival. Modern day wiccans now just fear their own weaknesses and concentrate on self-improvement of their abilities and how to protect themselves and their home from future problems and situations. So its like a time to celebrate the progress you’ve made and what to do to improve upon yourself or those around you even more than you’ve already done.
Mabon
Mabon or the Fall Equinox is September 20th, 21st, 22nd, or 23rd celebrates the day that the night and day share balance in length. It’s goes along with the final day of harvest for the grains and crops. It’s seen has the last celebration before winter begins.
Samhain
Samhain or All Hallow’s Eve is of course on Halloween, October 31st, or November 1. It’s celebrates the harvest and is a time to remember our ancestors similar to that of November 2nd with Day of the Dead.
I will write more about how I feel about these holidays and what I can relate to them in the next blog post. In the meantime enjoy the little tidbits I wrote!

2018 Year In Review
Another year, another review 💕(I actually typed most of this up before 2019 and then got distracted, whoops)
To put things short, 2018 has been AWESOME :D Exhausting and fast, but awesome.
I started it off pretty uncertain how things were going to go, dreading it would be a repeat of 2017′s boring TAFE courses and endless job rejections. But the miracle happened - a 2D animation studio opened up near me, I applied, did an animation test and got the job!
The job was a contract from 1st of April - 21st of December, so I spent the majority of my year going to work to animate characters for a really crazy but hilarious new kids show called Spongo Fuzz and Jalapena, due to air mid 2019 :)
It was honestly the most fun job I have ever had and I can’t wait for the next project! 🎉 I have never been this exhausted in my life, though. 😅I had already booked a whole bunch of conventions before I got the job, and didn’t want to cancel them so I was working nonstop - Animation during the day and intensive convention prep every night.
I also had the bright idea of creating a full colour 26 page comic -with a tight deadline - so I was madly working to the point I didn’t even have time for dinner half the time :’) I am sort of happy with the comic, but also kind of wish I never had the idea in the first place. 😅
I tabled at a ton of conventions; Melbourne Supanova, Central Coast ComiCon, Other Worlds Zine Fair, Sydney Supanova, SMASH and Canberra Gamma Con. If next year doesn’t go so well on the job side of things I’m hoping to add a few more conventions to that list - Brisbane Supanova, Oz Comic Con and Animaga to name a few. I’ve already booked Sydney Madman Anime Festival!
2018 was the year my partner and I celebrated our 4th year together, and he never fails to amaze me with his continuous love and support. I was too sick to attend the first day of SMASH, so he set up and ran the whole stall for me while I stayed at home. Same with Sydney Supanova, I was too bogged down in animation work and couldn’t afford to take the Friday off, so he set up and ran the stall for me on Friday, then we ran the stall together on the weekend. He also tended to my every need when I broke my toe, cooked all my meals when I was busy with work and even packaged + posted all my Etsy orders every day because I was always working during post office hours. He listened to all the problems I was having with my stall setup and helped make shelves and decorations to make it look and function better. I was getting stressed because my desk space was too small, BAM he bought me a brand new desk with plenty of storage. I was getting stressed that I had so much on my convention to-do-list and couldn’t keep track of all my project ideas, BAM, he sets up a whiteboard and helps me brainstorm everything so I can keep track of all my thoughts and ideas and what to prioritise for future conventions. I didn’t even ask him to do any of this, he just loves to help me and make me happy and I am forever blissed and happy to be able to spend my life with such a wonderful human!
(Home made High Tea I made for him on Valentines Day)
Arsty Highlilghts / accomplishments:
🌸I designed 9 cute Houseki no Kuni acrylic charms which have been doing really well at conventions!
🌸I also drew a cute series of ‘Sleepy Gem’ Houseki no Kuni / Steven Universe holographic prints, which I’m quite proud of 😊
🌸I created my 2nd enamel pin design, which already needed 2 reorders because they were so popular! ;w; I never knew I could make something that so many people love *sob* I’ve already planned to make these into a series! (already designed some deer ones, and thinking of doing foxes next ^_^ )
🌸I also tried getting gold foil prints done for the first time, which was pretty cool! I got the american sizes mixed up though so I might try for the bigger size next time :) (grainy photo cause its a screenshot from a video)
🌸I’ve been taking steps to make my stall look more ‘professional’, and got a really neat wooden sign made for me by my friend as_sweet_as_jasmine!
🌸I’ve started revamping my favourite series of posters - the Eevee Gijinka girls :) I plan to have them all done and ready for 2019s conventions!
🌸This was the year I got an iPad, so I could do digital art on-the-go. Honestly its helped me so much, and I can’t wait to be able to use it more (sorta didn’t get a chance to touch it while i was working!)
🌸I got Copic Markers for my birthday so I had a whole new medium to play with! These mixed with using a brush pen for inking really make my inktobers pop and I’m eager to draw more with them :)
🌸Speaking of Inktober, it was a huge accomplishment for me to put effort into a decent artwork every day this year! Usually theres a few dud ones when I lacked inspiration, but I somehow managed to make it work ;w; So when it came time to printing the books, theres 31 illustrations rather than 25 like the others :) Also the whole rainbow theme idea came from how cool I think it would look flipping through a rainbow book - so I managed to make that happen and couldn’t be happier!
🌸I passed 1000 sales on Etsy!! 😱As well as 1000 followers on instagram! Crazy right??
General 2018 highlights
🌸2018 was the year one of my best friends got married! I made cute little clay wedding cake toppers for her :)
🌸The year Owl City’s 7th album Cinematic came out!! All the tracks are so GOOD and exactly the sound all us hootowls were longing for. Also Be Brave is a tearjerker, in a good way. What an amazing human Abbey is to Adam <3
🌸The year Spyro Reignited Trilogy came out!! It’s absolutely amazing, and I love every second of it. Every time I play it I just can’t help but stand there looking around at every detail because everything is just so gorgeous *_* And the nostalgia is so real.
🌸Not exactly a highlight but the year Tumblr went NSFW free, and lost hundreds of thousands of users 😂I’m still here though. Got a dumb tradition to keep up ya know.
🌸The year my work had a hilarious Christmas party where we had to dress up as a character from Spongo Fuzz and Jalapena. It was the first time I actually put effort into a cosplay by myself 😂(possibly the last) (wont put a photo up for embarrassing reasons)
🌸the year I broke my toe for the first time xD;; definitely not a highlight but a first! I couldn’t walk for weeks! it sucked!!! T__T
🌸The year my friend successfully funded his kickstarter for his own cartoon ‘Nurry Brothers Adventure World’ :D So proud of him. I’m gonna help him animate!
🌸The year Lano and Woodley reunited with their amazing show ‘Fly’!! I loved it so much I saw it twice :D
🌸The year I tried doing Halloween for the first time - I bought a bunch of lollies and chocolates and decorations on my letterbox/door to let people know I was participating. I got 2 different groups of people at the door, 5 people all up 😂More than I expected tbh!
🌸I tried Ruby chocolate for the first time! It was ok .. just kinda tasted like berry yoghurt flavoured white chocolate though ;w;
SO! What’s coming for 2019?
I’m not really sure at the moment, but I have high hopes for Cheeky Little Studios (the animation company I worked for) - so I guess I’ll just have to wait and see if any of their next projects get concrete start dates :) I’m not as terrified of the year as I usually am when its just one big question mark. I know I can make decent money through conventions and commissions in the meant time so I’ll just continue doing what I love!
LAST YEAR I SAID:
“I am crossing my fingers for an animation job I applied for a while ago” - I GOT IT! :D
“I plan to do even more conventions. Hopefully I can get into Oz Comic Con!" - didn’t end up applying because I was busy with the job, but keen to try for 2019 :)
"I’m keen to apply for like Animaga in Melbourne, as well as Madman Anime Fest in Brisbane and Melbourne.” - didn’t end up doing so for the same reason above, but that might change this year :)
“I also want to make a lot more non-fandom things for market stalls, as well as a comic and zines!” - I made the comic, as well as 3 inktober zines and a cute ‘if I fits I sits’ cat zine! As well as a bunch of cute original enamel pin ideas and my whole inktober was original art :D
“Hopefully I’ll hit 1k followers on fb/ig? :D that will make me feel important lol” - I hit 1k on instagram!! I felt very important xD
“I’m also hoping to go on a holiday this year." - I didn’t, for job reasons ... buuut I’m booked in for a cruise in Italy / Greece this September that I’m extremely excited for!
“PLEASE BE KIND 2018, I’M BEGGING YOU 😱” - You were very very kind to me, 2018. 2019, please follow suit!
(man this is the 7th year of review I’ve done. Can’t believe I’ve been on tumblr this long 😅)
[2017] [2016] [2015] [2014] [2013] [2012]

Good Afternoon everyone and a very Happy New Year to you all! I hope you all had a wonderful night full of fun, joy and surrounded by family and friends to ring in the new year! I myself was laid up in bed with the flu for most of it so mine could have been that little bit better but otherwise I was just thankful to actually be out of bed and able to eat on actual new years night so it could have also have been worse but Im on the mend now! Todays post is the first post of 2019 and one I haven’t done in a while which is on one of my own looks that I had for a night out in December and if I’m being really honest that night was the first in a long time that I actually 100% happy with how I looked on a night out and felt really confident in myself which I think is a feeling I will be bringing with me in 2019!
My 2018 ended with a good few memories as I had a pretty sociable December . Including myself and Éimear going to the INEC in Killarney to go see Hozier and Gavin James who were unreal! For anyone who doesn’t know who Hozier is he’s an Irish singer/songwriter from Wicklow and I would definitely recommend going to see him because he is just amazing live! I always love going to see singers live and have them sound the exact same as they do in audio instead of them sounding a bit different because the voices are enhanced on the audio to sound better. Definitely check out his music because he is genuinely just so good! Gavin James is also an Irish singer from Galway who is also really good to go and see!
Myself and Éimear also went on our glam girls night out where we also met up with Himself and a couple of his work buddies and it was this night that I am honestly so happy with my look.

The look its self was pretty simple and was my classic all black colour scheme (another thing I’m going to start changing in 2019) and was just perfect. I love when you just throw something on last minute and it ends up being you’re favourite look of all time. The t-shirt is pretty basic and you can find slogan t-shirts in virtually any high street store at the moment as they are really trendy still and it was also long enough on me that I kind of created another layer under the skirt which is always handy just incase like me you have a little fear of things being a bit transparent. The skirt is actually another one that I had at home but I have included a link to a similar one here for you but its just a basic black tube skirt as I like my skirts to be a bit higher around the waist as I just feel they suit me better. You can’t see the boots in this photo but I do have a picture of them up on my Instagram and they are literally the exact type I was searching for for ages! I have another suede high stiletto pair that I have had for years and they are starting to get on a bit now and have seen a fair share of nights out so it was time to start getting their replacement ready and these are amazing. They literally tick every box height (which is scary high to look at but I love the height without a platform sole) , style, colour, comfort and of course are pointed toe. The earrings are again really trendy at the minute and are relatively easy to find but it does depend on the size you like. Usually these square frames are on the larger side but these ones are actually a mini version available from Newlook as well as the bigger size too. They are lightweight as well which is always a bonus as heavy earrings are a curse on your ears after a while. I just finished this look with a plain black leather jacket (more black I know) and thats it. A simple look for nights out without the fuss.
2018 : A Year In Pictures
As we are now in the new year 2019 I have decided to share some of my photos month by month from last year 2018 on some of my highlights from the year gone by. I definitely had a year filled with ups and downs, changes and trips but these photos are a reflection of all the good times from last year and if you can I would make an album on your phone or in a scrap book that you can look back on in years to come so that you can remind yourself when you’re feeling a bit low or in a sticky situation that life hasn’t been all bad and that you have had some great times in your life even if it is something as simple as just watching movies with friends. Heres a breakdown of my 2018!
February – Éimear and I travelled up to Dublin to go see Dermot Kennedy in the Olympia Theatre and I will honestly never forget it. It was the best concert I have ever been to because his music is so emotional, touching, beautiful and mesmerising. We are going to see him this year as well which I cannot wait to do again!
April – Himself and I went on our kind of annual holiday to Portugal to Albufiera where we have been before but this time we did do a few new things one of which I have definitely never done before and that was a Fish Pedicure. If you don’t know what that is its basically these tiny little fish that eat away at dead skin cells so you soak your feet in the water with them and they basically just clean your dead skin cells away. Don’t worry they are tiny fish so you don’t actually feel anything except maybe a slight tickle which is more of a funny sensation than scary (unless your Kim Kardashian West in that clip where she completely freaks out at the tickle feeling of a fish pedicure).
June – Himself and I went over to England for just under two weeks to mind my aunties house for her and as he had never been to London before I was excited to show him all the touristy things like Buckingham Palace, The London Eye and the Natural History Museum. We did one thing I had never done before (that I can recall anyway as I may have gone as a very small child) and that was go to the London Aquarium. It was really cool in there and they do have really interesting things to see so I would recommend going there if you are in London! On our way to the Natural History Museum we did see a few lamborghinis being driven around for demonstrations too which he was only delighted to see.
September – In September Himself and I attended a wedding in Tralee which was a civil ceremony as they didn’t want a church wedding and it was honestly one of the nicest wedding I have been to. As much as I respect peoples religious choices of a church wedding it was just really nice to not have the same prayers and routines and to see them have their children involved, have their own readings and quotes spoken and it was just a really nice romantic wedding. I did however end up spending two days getting broken glass out of my hands from an unfortunate table breakage but we won’t talk too much about that!
December – The whole month of December was one of my highlights to be honest. I started with our annual staff party which was really fun as we went for dinner and then just made a night out of it. Next up was my birthday which I didn’t actually do anything for it but Himself did have roses delivered to me at work for it which was a nice surprise even though I had a feeling he was going to do that as he was being a bit sneaky in town the day before and he did the same for my 21st birthday a couple years ago but it was still a lovely surprise! After that came came the Hozier show which was amazing as he just has such a great voice and is amazing to see live. Then literally two days after that myself and Éimear went out for our glam girls night and met up with himself and couple of his friends as they were on a staff night out too. Then obviously there was Christmas which was our usual family tradition of dinner with my grandparents, lots of food and a movie. Then a few days after Christmas myself and Éimear headed out to the INEC again to go see Gavin James perform and literally about two days after this I ended up in bed ill for nearly two days and was only just up an about on new years eve and able to eat so I literally have not one photo from the night but I did discover my 88 year old granddad is a fan of George Ezra’s Shotgun and my nan is in love with Michael Bublé
February – Dermot Kennedy Olympia Theatre Dublin
March – Myself and Eimear on St. Patricks Night
March – Snowy house bound days with Cookie
April – Albufeira, Portugal with himself
April – Albufeira, Portugal with himself
May – Finally bought a new car
June – England with Himself
June – England with Himself
August – Got my first set of the prettiest Ombre gels at NailsbyErika
August – Was reunited with an old school friend at a wedding
September – At wedding with himself
October – Halloween Costume Party in The Grand with Gillian
December – Christmas Staff Party
December – Himself had flowers delivered to me at work for my birthday
December – Hozier with Eimear
December – Hozier with Eimear
December – Out on the town with Eimear
December – Holly waiting for her gifts from Santa on Christmas morning
Decemeber – Gavin James with Eimear
Well thats my 2018 summed up so lets see what 2019 brings! Speak to you soon!
Ever yours
Lily

He hasn’t seen one yet and he already wishes they would all just go to Vermont instead.
Joss is all about that pumpkin spice. Pumpkin spice Frosted flakes are better than he’d expected but the autumn collection at David’s Tea is where it’s at! No more iced tea we only drinking hot tea until March.

Space weather threatens high-tech life
by Roger Dube
Shortly after 4 a.m. on a crisp, cloudless September morning in 1859, the sky above what is currently Colorado erupted in bright red and green colors. Fooled by the brightness into thinking it was an early dawn, gold-rush miners in the mountainous region of what was then called the Kansas Territory woke up and started making breakfast. What happened in more developed regions was even more disorienting, and carries a warning for the wired high-tech world of the 21st century.
As the sky lit up over the nighttime side of the Earth, telegraph systems worldwide went berserk, clacking nonsense code and emitting large sparks that ignited fires in nearby piles of paper tape. Telegraph operators suffered electrical burns. Even disconnecting the telegraph units from their power sources didn’t stop the frenzy, because the transmission wires themselves were carrying huge electrical currents. Modern technology had just been humbled by a fierce space weather storm that had arrived from the sun, the largest ever recorded – and more than twice as powerful as a storm nine years earlier, which had itself been the largest in known history.
My seven years of research on predicting solar storms, combined with my decades using GPS satellite signals under various solar storm conditions, indicate that today’s even more sensitive electronics and satellites would be devastated should an event of that magnitude occur again. In 2008, a panel of experts commissioned by the National Academy of Sciences issued a detailed report with a sobering conclusion: The world would be thrown back to the life of the early 1800s, and it would take years – or even a decade – to recover from an event that large.
A solar explosion
Space weather storms have happened since the birth of the solar system, and have hit Earth many times, both before and after that massive event in 1859, which was named the Carrington event after a British astronomer who recorded his observations of the sun at the time. They’re caused by huge electromagnetic explosions on the surface of the sun, called coronal mass ejections. Each explosion sends billions of protons and electrons, in a superheated ball of plasma, out into the solar system.
About 1 in every 20 coronal mass ejections heads in a direction that intersects Earth’s orbit. Around three days later, our planet experiences what is called a space weather storm or a geomagnetic storm.
While these events are described using terms like “weather” and “storm,” they do not affect whether it’s rainy or sunny, hot or cold, or other aspects of what it’s like outdoors on any given day. Their effects are not meteorological, but only electromagnetic.
Aurorae are signs of a geomagnetic storm. NASA/Terry Zaperach
Hitting Earth
When the coronal mass ejection arrives at Earth, the charged particles collide with air molecules in the upper atmosphere, generating heat and light called aurora.
Also, as happens anytime moving electrical charges encounter a magnetic field, the interaction creates a spontaneous electrical current in any conductor that’s available. If the plasma ball is big enough, its interaction with Earth’s magnetic field can induce large currents on long wires on the ground, like the one that overloaded telegraph circuits in 1859.
On March 13, 1989, a storm only about one-fifth as strong as the Carrington event hit Earth. It induced a large surge of current in the long power lines of the Hydro-Quebec power grid, causing physical damage to transmission equipment and leaving 6 million people without power for nine hours. Another storm-induced power surge destroyed a large transformer at a New Jersey nuclear plant. Even though a spare transformer was nearby, it still took six months to remove and replace the melted unit. Some people worried that the bright auroral lights meant nuclear war had broken out.
And in October 2003, a rapid series of solar storms affected Earth. Collectively called the Halloween solar storm, this series caused surges that threatened the North American power grid. Its effects on satellites made GPS navigation erratic and interrupted communications connections during the peak of the storm.
Larger storms will have wider effects, cause more damage and take longer to recover from.
Wide-reaching effects
Geomagnetic storms attack the lifeblood of modern technology: electricity. A space weather storm typically lasts for two or three days, during which the entire planet is subjected to powerful electromagnetic forces. The National Academy of Sciences study concluded that an especially massive storm would damage and shut town power grids and communications networks worldwide.
Electricity, shown in the upper right, is integrated into every aspect of modern life. Federal Communications Commission
After the storm passed, there would be no simple way to restore power. Manufacturing plants that build replacements for burned-out lines or power transformers would have no electricity themselves. Trucks needed to deliver raw materials and finished equipment wouldn’t be able to fuel up, either: Gas pumps run on electricity. And what pumps were running would soon dry up, because electricity also runs the machinery that extracts oil from the ground and refines it into usable fuel.
With transportation stalled, food wouldn’t get from farms to stores. Even systems that seem non-technological, like public water supplies, would shut down: Their pumps and purification systems need electricity. People in developed countries would find themselves with no running water, no sewage systems, no refrigerated food, and no way to get any food or other necessities transported from far away. People in places with more basic economies would also be without needed supplies from afar.
It could take between four and 10 years to repair all the damage. In the meantime, people would need to grow their own food, find and carry and purify water, and cook meals over fires.
Some systems would continue to operate, of course: bicycles, horse-drawn carriages and sailing ships. But another type of equipment that would keep working provides a clue to preventing this type of disaster: Electric cars would continue to work, but only in places where there were solar panels and wind turbines to recharge them.
Preparing and protecting
Geomagnetic storms would affect those small-scale installations far less than grid-scale systems. It’s a basic principle of electricity and magnetism that the longer a wire that’s exposed to a moving magnetic field, the larger the current that’s induced in that wire.
In 1859, the telegraph system was so profoundly affected because it had wires stretching from city to city across the U.S. Those very long wires had to handle enormous amounts of energy all at once, and failed. Today, there are long runs of wires connecting power generators to consumers – such as from Niagara Falls to New York City – that would be similarly susceptible to large induced currents.
The only way to reduce vulnerability to geomagnetic storms is to substantially revamp the power grid. Now, it is a vast web of wires that effectively spans continents. Governments, businesses and communities need to work together to split it into much smaller components, each serving a town or perhaps even a neighborhood – or an individual house. These “microgrids” can be connected to each other, but should have protections built in to allow them to be disconnected quickly when a storm approaches. That way, the length of wires affected by the storm will be shorter, reducing the potential for damage.
A family using solar panels and batteries for storage and an electric car to get around would likely find its water supply, natural gas or internet service disrupted. But their freedom to travel, and to use electric lights to work after dark, would provide a much better chance at survival.
When will the next storm hit?
People should start preparing today. It’s impossible to know when a major storm will hit next: The most we’ll get is a three-day warning when something happens on the surface of the sun. It’s really only a matter of time before there is another one like the Carrington event.
Solar astrophysicists are also studying the sun to identify any events or conditions that might herald a coronal mass ejection. They’re collecting enormous amounts of data about the sun and using computer analysis to try to connect that information to geomagnetic storms on Earth. This work is underway and will become more refined over time. The research has not yet yielded a reliable prediction of a coming solar storm before an ejection occurs, but it improves each year.
In my view, the safest course of action involves developing microgrids based on renewable energy. That would not only improve people’s quality of life around the planet right now, but also provide the best opportunity to maintain that lifestyle when adverse events happen.

Okay this is a long post but please bear with me. I just want to give an update about upcoming life/job changes that will also affect my shop, convention schedule, and Patreon.
OKAY SO! I do have some exciting, important life changes coming up. I have finally secured a full-time art job in Michigan! Yay! I will be an art assistant to start out with and probably not actually doing much drawing. And when I do start doing more artwork, it will be vector art in Adobe Illustrator, so very different from what I normally do and post on this blog, Insta, etc. Idk if I will even be able to post the stuff at all I do for this job though but hey! It’s full time! So I’ll be getting paid well for it. And it being very well from my usual work means I won’t get burnt out on my own art.
However, because of the attendance policy for newcomers, I don’t think I’ll be able to do Youmacon if I get in off the wait list this year. Which sucks. But it’s a necessary sacrifice I’ll have to make. The one day off I’ll get in my first 90 days will have to be used for Grand Rapids Comic Con, since I was already accepted to that con and paid for it long ago. There is a TINY change I could do Youmacon if I got in, but most likely I won’t be able to. So my next and last cons for sure for a while will be Capital City Comic Con this Saturday September 8th, 2018 in Lansing, MI, and Grand Rapids Comic Con on November 9th-11th, 2018 in Grand Rapids, MI.
Also, my current seasonal part-time job is now down to just Saturday-Sunday weekends, then in October, Friday nights for our Halloween event, with the last day of our season being October 21st. So I start my full time Monday-Friday job on September 10th, and will be working at my other job on the weekends till October 21st. So I’ll have a very jam-packed schedule and probably only be able to do sketches until then, which is why I’ve actually been posting my sketches on social media rather than just keeping them Patreon exclusives lately. I don’t want to just not post art because of this. Also, I do still plan on doing Drawtober this year. It’ll be a much bigger schedule this time around because I’ll likely be working 7 days a week but....I’ll make it work lol.
Also, my new job will be 7 AM - 3 PM, Monday-Friday, which means plenty of time in the afternoon and on weekends (after the season for my other job ends) to draw! But also until @garcondesfleurs and I can save up enough to move into a new place, I will be driving an hour and 20 minutes to work, and an hour and 20 minutes back home. So there will definitely be a big adjustment period with the long and tiring commute lol. I will have to get up early than ever before on a regular basis. But it will be worth it. This job has health, vision, and dental insurance, is closed with PTO on major holidays, and also starts off with 5 other paid days off after your first 90 days with acquiring more days off the more years you work there. And they have reviews every 6 months with the opportunity for a raise if you meet the qualifications for how much you’ve improved. So I just couldn’t pass this opportunity up.
However, you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Because of limited days off, I probably won’t be able to do NEARLY as many conventions for the next couple of years. Which means there won’t be a need for me to make as much merch like stickers, charms, acrylic pins, buttons, etc. Not to mention I won’t want to use as much of my free time to make them. While I love making smaller merch, I often put other personal projects I am more passionate about aside to pump out the smaller merch like charms and stickers because they are my big money makers. But now I will have money from this job, so I won’t have to worry about this, and can focus solely on what I want to draw the absolute MOST in my free time.
It also means I will likely have to simplify my Patreon. I likely won’t be able to keep up with the amount of tiers I have right now while having a full time job as well, especially during the time when I'm also working the part-time job on top of it, and I may not be able to keep up with the physical rewards of stickers, charms, etc because I may not be producing enough new designs for small merch to send Patrons non-repeats. So after this month’s physical rewards, I will likely have to do another Patreon overhaul for the sake of my own sanity, with less tiers and likely no physical rewards other than digital coupons for my Etsy. I don't want to overwork myself into the ground with too many tasks and little to no breaks and wind up with bad physical and mental health because of it.
I will still be doing my own art though! I’m actually very excited because I think the financial stability from this art job will allow me to have a greater sense of freedom in what I can do on my own. And I’m actually really looking forward to it. :3
The other issue I was having was the money from cons and my shop was just enough to supplement my day job to pay bills, groceries, etc, but not pushing it over the edge to where I’d have a good cushion to make more new merch and pay for more con tables. So even if I was profiting well off cons, minimum wage money from a part-time seasonal day job meant that those con profits just went right into my living expenses basically, not leaving me much room to do more, not only in the way of making new merch and signing up for new cons which created its own conundrum, but also to just do other fun life things...not to mention move out.
So yeah. It will be a lot of big changes at first, and I hope I don’t disappoint anyone with the changes to my convention schedule, my Patreon, and the amount of stickers, charms, etc I produce and sell in my shop but...I think it will be worth it for me in the end. Especially if I can go back to doing more art that isn’t just stickers and charms again soon. I miss doing other illustrations more frequently lol.
So yeah. Thank you for reading through this long post, and for sticking around this blog and liking my art and stuff. :3 I hope you all have a lovely week~

New and Improved Fic Schedule
New and Improved Fic Schedule
Okay, gonna try and be brief with the nitty-gritty details here so I can get you all to the good stuff!
I’ll be going on a six-seven week hiatus starting the first week of April due to my school load getting heavier and the one-year anniversary of my dad’s suicide on April 21st. I will try to keep checking in on my account, but my activity is gonna be way less.
I will still be participating in Kidge Week. I have already written a good chunk of the fills for it and, as such, will schedule the posts ahead of time so they’ll release on the right days. The only day I will not be uploading ahead of time is April 22nd, since I want to take the time to make my post about all the other wonderful Kidge shippers out there myself. I will be aiming to still participate in Hance month, but I may only complete a handful of prompt fills.
All multi-chapters are being side-lined until at least June, due to school, but there are also a couple new projects in the work, so that also has an effect. Also, if I find the time to write up any additional one-shots, I’ll upload those as well. I’ll also need to see about maybe getting a Beta reader to look over the chapters for me before uploading - excluding LMv.tW, as I already have a Beta for that story – so I might make a separate post seeking one out as we get closer to June.
There are 3 categories under the “Read More”; Main Projects, Developing Projects, and Undefined Projects.
Main Projects are ones that I have already started writing/ completed the outlining process for and have defined start dates, plots, and release schedules. These are the projects that I’ll be focusing on most of the time and can be expected from me on a regular basis.
Developing Projects are ones that I would like to write, but as of now are more ghosts of a thought than concrete works. These have the potential to be scrapped or, should I decide I myself do not want to write them, will be offered out to any writer interested in taking them on themselves. If a project is dropped, I’ll make a post letting everyone know I’m offering the idea over to another set of creative hands.
Undefined Projects are projects I have every intention of writing, but are a bit wider in scope/range and I am unsure of how far ahead in development they’ll be when I start making them more public. These are projects that I have started to write/ draft, but I have done very little in the way of determining where to end the project off at. Basically, these are stories that have no end goal in sight. This projects will have no upload date or upload schedule, as such, and will be more sporadic in when I choose to work on them.
Main Projects (Fics will be listed in chronological order based on release date.)
Dress Rehearsal: Voltron (Kidge, sidelined Hance): After publically calling out the shady business practices of Galra Tech, acclaimed actor Keith Kogane finds himself the subject of both an attempted assassination and threat of blackmail. Undeterred, he feels no fear at the prospect of making an enemy of the powerful conglomerate. Worried about his safety, both physically and his privacy being violated, his agent, Allura LeAltea, calls upon the help of an old charm school friend of hers. Enter Katie Holt; renowned tech prodigy and secret hacker known as Pidge Gunderson, hired on to be Keith’s personal bodyguard. The only catch? The two must pretend to be dating to assure that Katie can tag along with him wherever he goes without cueing Galra Tech into knowing their threats have had an effect. Release Date: June 15th, 2018 Update Schedule: Bi-Weekly Note: Only thing changing for this story is that it has a finalized update schedule and a proper working title.
Lance McClain vs. The World: Voltron (Hance, sidelined Kidge): After getting involved with a charming young engineering student named Hunk Garrett after meeting at a bar, Lance McClain finds himself getting dragged into a series of events that seem to be ripped right out of a comic book. He is given a warning from the leader of something called “Team Voltron”; a group of Hunk’s ex-lovers and close personal friends, dedicated to determining the worthiness of Hunk’s suitors through various competitive means. Never one to back down from a challenge, Lance agrees to the terms and is forced to learn various new skills and talents in order to compete with the roster of powerful opponents he faces. Release Date: June 29th, 2018 Update Schedule: Weekly Note: Pushed this one back a bit but also gave it a defined update schedule, so there’s that!
Lowlife: Voltron (Kidge): Inspired by the song of the same title by Poppy. After being framed for the murder of her own brother, Katie Holt is forced to flee to the bustling metropolis of Marmora, a city where anyone can disappear in an instance. Assuming the new identity of Pidge Gunderson, she tries to settle into life, despite the constant feeling of being watched. After an evening snack run takes an unexpected turn, Pidge ends up with a roommate who goes by the moniker Blade, a young man with a story all-too-similar to hers. Together, the two set out on a mission to uncover the truth and clear their actual names… While trying not to kill each other. Release Date: August 17th, 2018 Update Schedule: Bi-Weekly Note: I decided to place a month between when any new multi-chapter fics will be coming out to avoid burning myself out. My plan is that I should be close to having finished both my other projects by the time this one drops. This project will most likely be a bit on the shorter side, as it will center almost completely on the two goofballs, but I’m really excited to work on it! Hopefully it’ll be a fun adventure for you all as well!
Story Time: Soul Eater (SoMa): Soul Evans has been struggling with life as a single father for roughly three years now; working two jobs and odd hours to support himself and his precious daughter, Harmony. Upon the announcement of his older brother, Wes, getting married, he is begged to return home to help with preparing for the ceremony and to be his brother’s Best Man. Feeling that he’ll have better opportunities with his family’s support and more time to spend with Harmony, Soul agrees to moving back to Death City. Through fate and circumstance, Soul meets Maka Albarn, the writer of his daughter’s favorite series of children’s books and intended Maid of Honor to Liz Thompson, Wes’ fiancée, and the two get along pretty well. And, perhaps from there, more will develop between them. Release Date: September 28th, 2018 Update Schedule: Bi-Weekly Note: Again, another one where nothing really changes. This story is mostly just going to be domestic, romantic fluff, but I think it’ll have some nice touches to make it stand out.
Twilight: Voltron (Kidge): One night, Matthew Holt disappeared from his room without a trace. In the time that he’d been gone, his younger sister, Katie Holt, has been frantically pushing for more action to be taken in bringing her brother home; believing he has been whisked away to the deadly mystery of the forest around their small village of Kerberos. With her brother missing, her mother’s health rocky in her grief, and her father away to help a neighboring village with a fast-spreading illness, she is struggling to maintain not only all effort to bring her brother home alive, but also keep the family farm up to its normal functionality. The Head of the Village Guard, Thace Kogane, insists that she accept the help of his two children, Keith and Allura, to assist her with the farm. Initially cold and distant, Katie slowly warms up to the duo and finds that they may be able to offer her more help in finding her brother, as well as unraveling the mysteries of the dark forest just outside the fences of their small village. Release Date: October 31st, 2018 Update Schedule: Monthly Note: Decided that I want to push this one back to Halloween for very specifics reasons. Also, because this is a project with a lot of world building and establishment to it, I want to give myself/ any potential Beta plenty of time to go over it to make sure everything makes sense.
Developing Projects
Keidge Month Day 30 Prompt: Voltron (Kidge, potential other pairings as I develop it further): Not gonna say too much about this one, as I want it to be a surprise, but basically a canon-divergent story that would fall more inline with the headcanons I had in the very first Kidge fic I ever wrote, which Day 30 will also kind of expand on in a way. Note: If I do decide to pursue this project, it’ll most likely end up under the Undefined Projects category.
Starring Role: Voltron (Lanlura, mentions/hints of Lotura, sidelined Kidge): Inspired by the song of the same name by Marina and the Diamonds. Lance understands that, as far as things go, Allura doesn’t really need him. Gorgeous, confident, intelligent Allura Altea could have any guy she wanted at the snap of her fingers. They all trip over themselves to just catch a glimpse of her as she wanders the campus of Olkari University. But, for whatever reason, he’s the one she calls upon when the nights are cold and lonely. He knows that someday she’ll realize he isn’t worth her time, but until then? Until then, he’ll enjoy pretending that there’s more to their nights together. He’s always been a showman, after all. Note: I fell into Lanlura Hell and I am not sure I want to crawl out yet. I’ve been entertaining the idea of writing something a bit more on the bittersweet side of things (though I’d probably end up giving it a happy ending because I AM WEAK). Plus, Lance would give Allura everything, even if it could break his little heart.
A Mirror’s Edge: Voltron (Lanlura, sidelined Kidge): For centuries, the Galra have pitted the families of Altea and Terrain against one another, framing the other for assassination after assassination, hoping the two noble bloods would wipe one another out so that Galra may control the entirety of the city. Tired of the bloodshed and scorn on the streets, the Grand Duke Mage of Voltron creates a magic veil; a mirror made of illusion and incantation, to keep the two warring families from coming in direct contact with one another. But even magical bonds do not always hold against forces of a different kind, forces that songs and poems and theater have been written about. This is the tale of how two young children, belonging to House Altea and House Terrain, happen a glance through the mirror’s glamour and find the spark of something more enchanted in between. Note: I fucking hate Romeo and Juliet but damn if the stupid thing doesn’t give a lot of room to play and come up with some fun ideas! I have already started to develop a whole world for this one fic but, again, I am unsure if I want to do a full exploration of it (or, also, if I might want to use my own characters for this one).
Seashells and Scallops: Voltron (Plance or Lanlura, I swing both ways, with potential side pairings if I decide to pursue this project): After being saved from drowning by what can only be called a mermaid, Prince Lance of the Azure Isles, falls in love with his rescuer. Mermaids, however, are tricky and mysterious creatures, leaving him with almost no chance to meet his dream girl again; at least, not without taking fate into his own hands. In exchange for his voice, a witch on the outskirts of his city trades his legs out for a tail and gills. He has six months to woo the young mermaid and have his feelings reciprocated, or be fed to the witch’s pet sleeping deep in the murky depths. Note: A Little Mermaid AU with a twist! I like to subvert tropes, and this seems like something Lance would absolutely do.
Undefined Projects
The Star Witch: Voltron (Kidge, potential others as I develop the story): A continuation of my Keidge Month Day 25 Prompt fill. Would further their relationship, probably get a little spicy, probably have an incredibly tragic end. Might warrant having a sequel series, or just being a really long running multi-chapter fic?
Copper and Indigo: Voltron (Kidge, potential others as I develop the story): It’s the Soul Eater!Kidge AU I’ve been planning out! Haven’t yet finished the finalization of everything, as I want to wait a little longer on the poll, but this will be coming! And it will be coming soon!
Time, Space, and Everything Between: Voltron (Kidge, potential others as I develop the story): A continuation of my Keidge Month Day 15 Prompt fill. I have an idea for a good chunk of the beginning, but it’s simply determining where I want to go through the middle and end. I want to have it still follow some of the series, specifically in regards to them all piloting the Lions, but then it becomes a question of to what extent and where I’d want to end things off at. But I am most certainly going to be doing more with this!

✧ .🍂Mabon Solitary Rituals🍂*✧
The Autumn equinox is near! As it's the equinox the day will be equal parts light and dark (perfect for the beginning of Libra season,) and as it's autumn in the northern hemisphere there will be leaves that are beginning to change and squirrels scurrying about. Autumn is such an important season of mine, it begins Libra season (I am a libra) and also according to the French Revolutionary Calendar, the season of wine. Libra season is one of fun, balance and harmony and that combined with autumn and the celebration of wine makes this the start to my favorite part of the year.
Autumn Equinox is not only the time to be grateful for all that you've earned during your hard work of the summer, and be grateful in general for the good that has occurred to you this year, but it's also a time of letting go. As we inch closer to Samhain, the time of death and transformation that leads to the new year, we should take time to reflect and see what needs to be shedded like falling leaves. The keyword to my rituals are Reflection. Reflect on what makes you grateful and reflect on what needs to be let go. I do have a personal correspondences post that might help explain why I also chose certain things listed below! (Also here is my personal tag.)
A lot of us witches practice alone and have our own solitary rituals for each sabbat that we observe (or the ones we’ve created just for ourselves that we observe alone!) Like any solitary eclectic witch I do things my own different way but some of these things might line up with others practices. I do refer to some of the equinoxes/solstices/crossquarters by their celtic sabbat names but I celebrate them in a secular animist way and treat the wheel of the year I celebrate as more of an argrarian cycle and celebrating nature. I use sabbat names as a point of reference and also people that do celebrate these witches sabbats more traditionally might find value in my personal practice!
When I am alone and casting spells a lot of it is visualization/intent so my solitary rituals are more like activities I like to do then specifically casting a spell. If I am doing a spell with an activity based on it a lot would be listening to music to get in the mood and focusing on a candle while visualizing for a period of time! Eves are also important to my celebration as I like to stay up until midnight and cast a spell then!
Mabon Eve
Thursday September 21st 2017
Autumn Tea lights! First we all know autumn scented candles are the best, but for the autumn equinox festivities, making special autumn tealights is a must! Make Apple tealights, acorn tealights or squash tea lights (x) and decorate your altar with them or save them for the feast table tomorrow. Bonus: use scented autumn wax or natural beeswax and maybe top it with cinnamon or nutmeg!
Acorn charms for good luck! I would make these annually for my friends. Acorns represent prosperity and everytime the bell jingles its to hope it will bring you more prosperity for the rest of the remaining year!
Swap wardrobe clothing for your autumn clothes and put a sack of nice smelling herbs like cinnamon sticks in the corner of your warddrobe to make them smell nice.
If you enjoy wearing makeup take out all of your autumn shades of lipstick and eye make up and charge them with your tools of glamour like rose quartz, carnelian and good energy.
Dry fruits and herbs in an oven or dehydrator! Annually I love to make apple chips this time of year.
Enjoy snacks while doing crafts! Eat caramels, dried apple chips, nuts (like peanuts if you are not allergic. I like nuts to honor the squirrel and acorn season), maple sugar candies, sugar candied nuts, sweet corn bread, butterscotch candies. Also if you don't like nuts/can't eat them but want something acorn-like, make these donut acorns! Bonus if they are cinnamon sugar! (Or you can coat them in maple sugar glaze!)
If you love knitting this is a great time to begin a knitting project! Use knot magic to bind intent into your scarf to keep you warm in the cold seasons!
Celebrate the eve of Autumn with great fall beers and apple sausages at a local beer hall.
Preparing dishes Since tomorrow is a great autumn feast day, the evening would be fantastic to just cook autumn magic into the food of tomorrow. That also being said, Make Caramel Apples! I associate caramel apples with this holiday and candied coated apples with Halloween. Make a nice maple sugar caramel and top with sprinkles, cookie crumbles or enjoy on it’s own!
Decorate your Altar! Wipe your altar down with oils like cinnamon and cedar. Cover it in chrysanthemums, beautiful fallen leaves, carnival squash, mini pumpkins, and anything fall colored. Burn cinnamon and apple incense!
Go Star Gazing This time of the year is the best for star gazing. It probably has to do with the temperature at night being pleasantly cool and there being far less bugs. Spend a night under the stars especially since it will be the last night possible to do so before the weather cools!
Midnight Spell: Focus on what you would like to shed away from your life. This is a time that's great for letting go of what is no longer working for you in the previous year. As an activity I do like to collect dead and colorful leaves that have fallen and write in gold pen the things I want gone from my life. Over a flame I burn it to a crisp. If you can't have fire, this is equally as great if you can toss it out of a high window to let it 'fall away' (I'd suggest not writing anything on it though, just put the energy into it), or crushing it into powder and letting it blow away in the fall winds. Another spell I like to do is road opening. If you feel blocked and don't know what to shed away, this helps instead. I always like lighting a candle for road opening spells as it's similar to lighting a lantern on a path shrouded with darkness, but this can be understood as a leaf blower spell. Take a pile of leaves as clean as you can find them. (at least 10-20 is good enough). Take your favorite stack of tarot cards and shuffle them thinking about the obstacle that you can not overcome. Once you are done, the top card is what you must do. (Or any that jump out randomly). Take that advice card and put it under the pile of leaves. Envision the leaves as the many things that are cluttering your path. When you are ready, take a mighty blow and blow them away off the card! Acorn Spell I like to pick an acorn I am drawn to and think about the things I want to prosper. I use them as wealth spells. As I charge my things and do magic for the ritual, I also charge my acorns with positive intent. That night or the next morning I go to a nearby park (usually the same where I got the acorn) and bury it into the earth. As the acorn is a seed that will grow, so will what you wish to prosper in your life.
Mabon Day
Friday, September 22nd 2017
When you pick your clothes for this day, Either wear the most fall-tastic witchy outfit or wear the dark veil witchy outfit. Fall is officially the Season of the Witch sorry I don't make the rules. (I mean 365 days of the year is the season of the witch to me but like, fall is goth witch time). It's time for burgundy, brown and black lipsticks, heavy eyeshadow, black veils, velvets, boots, flocks of crows following you around as you shop for mini pumpkins. Little kids watching you in awe and believing in magic as you and your Raven companion go pick up Halloween candy.
Go Apple Picking! If you have the great privilege and opportunity to, this would be the most blessed day for apple picking. Being in the country side and picking apples is the most ideal way to spend Mabon Day. Make a tart with those apples for the feast or save them to make autumn apple cider for Samhain!
Take a Bike Ride or a Fall Hike! Autumn is an airy season for me and the winds are playful, give life to dead leaves and howl wildly in the night. I love to spend autumn biking and feeling one with the streams of air. Go on a ride and collect the beautiful leaves you see! If you don’t have a bike, taking a hike would be just as rewarding especially in a trail in the mountains!
Drink spiced autumn drinks and be grateful for the past year and the season to come! Enjoy a nice hot apple cider, spiced autumn mulled wine, a spiced chai tea or even a pumpkin spiced Latte (YEAH I SAID IT) don’t let anyone take your autumn festiveness away from you!
Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables! APPLES! Plums! Grapes! Squash! Yams! Offer some back to nature to show gratitude!
Plant bulbs in the garden for next spring! You should try to harvest what you can from your garden and pickle your produce and dry your herbs but if you want some things to pop up in the spring, now is the time to plan before your garden goes to rest!
Make Apple bird feeders!
If you have the opportunity to, tour a winery or a beer garden! Not all of us might have the time to go on a hike or apple picking, yet it is wine and autumn beer season so a nice outing to a brewery will be equally as festive!
Charge yourself in the cool autumn winds! Whistle with the whispering winds, release intentions into them. Find a cool and clean place where you won’t be disturbed to center yourself and allow their energy to flow around you. Feel free as the birds flying south.
Evening
Celebratory Dinner The feast is the most important part. This holiday is often compared to Thanksgiving because its an autumn feast that has a focus on gratitude yet this is gratitude for what the earth has given for the harvest and your hard work (and not stealing land from other people) and if you are lucky enough to celebrate it with those that share your practice, you should go around the table to say the things that you are blessed for this year passed and toast each one to hot spiced cider. Let the loving warmth engulf you as you drink it and reflect on the good that has become of you this year. One year I made a fantasy feast for each sabbat and this is a recipe post for Mabon.
Make sure to remember to make a plate for any entities you like to work with. Leave something nice for your ancestors, or the spirits of nature outside. Anything you have left over like organic waste, apple peels, squash string, put it in compost to give back to the earth when the time comes.
For your friends and loved ones that you are grateful for in life, make sure to leave them a little message by text, phone call or social media to let them know how much you appreciate them.

October Occurrences 2020
Forgive the lateness of this monthly post! I wish I could say it’s late because I’ve been crazy busy, but it’s really been because I’ve been lounging my ass around various corners of my parent’s house and trying my best to not watch any American news. Here’s what went down last month.
I started watching The Parkers and, as expected, it’s pretty great. Kim for life.
I got a lash lift aaaaaand it was bullshit. My eyes have never been more irritated and that’s coming from someone who went through corneal surgery. I think lash lifts are supposed to be for people who already have long lashes. But if you have long lashes, then why the hell do you need them to be lifted? SCAM.
Are eyelash curlers bad for people with short lashes? I was told they were. But that was by someone who also recently fucked my lashes, so I’m not sure what to believe now.
So many new movies were watched in October: Killer Klowns From Outer Space (absolutely great), Motel Hell (also great), Moment of Truth: Stalking Back (too real, a little hard to watch, but I’m really looking forward to watching other made-for-tv-movies from the series), Hush (a great movie, but again: too much, I might not be able to handle modern horror & I’m fine with that), Summer Camp Nightmare (great), Goodnight Mommy (parts of it were really cringe-y to watch but it was incredible), Mom (so, so underrated), Wolf (it was actually pretty good, how on earth had I not seen it before?), House on Haunted Hill (the old version and it was great! It ends abruptly but it’s still a fun movie), Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (80s as hell, but not as terrible as I thought it’d be), Creepshow 2 (just a good time), Frogs (terrible and not in a fun way), Cujo (just a story of neglectful pet owners), Night of the Demons (not bad, not good), This Is Paris (it was really, really good. It’s definitely hard to watch if you’ve dealt with abuse in any way, but it’s really well done) and I got through about nine minutes of Cats before I just had to call it.
The next season of Shrill started filming!
I finally went to Sleepy Hollow and wrote about it over here.
A recipe for mini meatloaf ghosts created by the ever-delightful, Chef John.
Among the top three of funniest Fresh Prince scenes ever.
Ate the hazelnut & cappuccino cronut this month and it was spectacular.
Started getting the cashew yogurt from Trader Joe’s and it’s so addictive.
The new SNLs have been all right, nothing special. And look, I love Jim Carrey. Forever will. But he isn’t good as Biden. It’s such a weird choice. Highlight of the episodes this month? The Bieber performances, surprisingly.
I made the Impossible Burger at home (you can buy them at any Fairway Market) and they’re absolutely the top veggie burger on the market today. So damn good.
There’s this restaurant in Mississauga (Erin Mills Pump & Patio) that does such a good job of replicating this now-off-menu pasta that I used to love from Snug Harbour and I’m so thankful to have found it. (It’s the Hunters Penne Pasta with chicken, cremini and shitake mushrooms, Italian parsley, black truffle oil in a white wine cream sauce incase you want to taste heaven.)
We went to Downey’s on Halloween this year and for the first time got their homemade cheese bread. Life will never be the same. Some photos of the day below.
The LCBO puts out a seasonal magazine with food and drink recipes that I looooove. One of my favourite magazines for sure.
Here’s a list of hidden horror movie categories on Netflix, should you be interested.
I read and reviewed Sofie Hagen’s new book Happy Fat and it was such a great read.
Such a shame about the beautiful Roosevelt Hotel closing down.
Dolly Parton will forever be charming as hell.
I made a batch of hot ginger toddies and yes they were good but waaaay too high maintenance to make at home. It’s definitely a drink that’s easier to just order when out.
I made these ginger sesame noodles with caramelized mushrooms and wow. Definitely will make again. I’d never thought of having broth at the bottom of a bowl full of noodles, but it’s such a great idea.
Also made these incredible apple cheddar biscuits.
Riverdale finally has a return date: January 21st!
If you find yourself in NYC in November, I beg you… please go eat the Thanksgiving croissant from Milk Bar. You will regret nothing.
There was a full moon on Halloween and I hope you made the most of it.
I made these pumpkin and pesto cheese stuffed shells because I’ve always wanted to make something savory with pumpkin and it was really, really good.
Loving this Etsy shop’s candles. I’ve only ordered two so far, but I’m a big fan.
Baby Dog’s old lobster costume made its way onto a pet costume list.
Of course I dressed up for Halloween, how dare you think I wouldn’t. (I also watched this tutorial on how to do the older lady makeup.)
Best tweets of the month over here.
Some things that I’m looking forward to doing this month: reading Lindy West’s new book, decorating my parent’s house for the Christmas season, and SNOW.
If you’ve got any interest in reading last month’s roundup, you can see what went down in September over here.

Secular Wheel of the Year: Micah’s Version
So I heard today via Discord that the Wheel of the Year is secular and open. Which is wonderful, because I was a little sad I wouldn’t have holidays as a secular person.
However, some of them still are tied to deities, at least in name. Working with deities just isn’t my thing. And taking the name of said sabbats, especially if they have religious ties...doesn’t feel right and also I can’t properly pronounce half of them.
So here’s my quick sketch of what I might be able to do as a secret, secular witchy person!
They’re drawn mostly from what that time of year is in terms of seasons, and things that might be celebrated at that time of year for people celebrating more common religions read: Christianity. Inspiration also from this post here.
It’s fairly long so I put in a break.
This is a rough draft so you can give me feedback!
Winter Solstice (December 21st, ish)
Other names and celebrations at about the same time: Yule, Midwinter, Christmas
The official start of winter; shortest length of daylight for the year.
Associated items: evergreens, holly, ivy, snowflakes, snowmen
Associated colors: green, red, white, blue
Possible celebrations: fire (it’s cold and the sun/warmth is slowly headed this way also I’ll take any excuse for a fire), lighting candles, gift giving, hanging wreaths. Build snowmen. Have a snowball fight.
Easily disguised as Christmas for my purposes.
Half-Winter (1st/2nd of February)
Other names and celebrations at about the same time: Imbolc and its other names
Halfway between winter and spring. It’s still cold but crocuses are pushing through the snow.
Associated items: flowers (especially crocuses, daffodils, and other flowers that bloom early), evergreens
Associated colors: white, blue, yellow, green
Possible celebrations: Go about and notice the any stars of spring showing (it might be too early). Light warm colored candles. Remind yourself it’s not going to be this cold forever.
Vernal Equinox (March 21st, ish)
Other names and celebrations at about the same time: Ostara, possibly Easter
Spring has officially sprung. More or less equal daylight/darkness. So balance, but also spring.
Associated items: flowers, scales, birds, feathers
Associated colors: yellow, pink, colors commonly seen on flowers, pastels, green, black, white
Possible celebrations: Go for a walk because it’s (hopefully) nice out. Appreciate the rain because it’s needed for all the baby plants to grow (and the adult plants, for that matter). Pick some flowers and make a bouquet. Meditate/contemplate on how to make your life more balanced in whatever way it needs to be more balanced and figure out how to work towards that.
Half-Spring (1st of May)
Other names and celebrations at about the same time: Beltane, May Day
Associated items: flowers, birds, feathers
Associated colors: common flower colors, yellow, pink, green
Possible celebrations: Once again, go for a walk. Pick some flowers, make a bouquet. Check out how much plants have grown. Notice animals that are out and about. Light candles, have fires. The sun is coming.
Summer Solstice (June 21st, ish)
Other names and celebrations at about the same time: Litha, Midsummer
Official start of summer. The longest amount of daylight during the year. The sun has arrived.
Associated items: images of the sun, fire, solar panels if you want
Associated colors: any warm color
Possible celebrations: Have a big fire. Light candles. Go out and sunbathe (but don’t burn okay). If it isn’t too melty, go for a walk. Go to the beach.
Half-Summer (August 1st)
Other names and celebrations at about the same time: Lammas, Lughnasadh, First Harvest
Summer is starting to end but isn’t gone yet. The nights are growing longer.
Associated items: sun, fire, evergreens, pinecones, leaves, other symbols of autumn
Associated colors: warm colors, brown, green
Possible celebrations: Have a fire. Light a candle. Go out and see if the air is feeling brisk yet. Visit a beach. It’s harvest time so maybe bake something. I mean when do I ever complain to bread or pastries or basically anything made with wheat?
Autumnal Equinox (September 21st, ish)
Other names and celebrations at about the same time: Mabon
Autumn is finally, officially here! My favorite! More or less equal daylight/darkness. So balance, but also autumn.
Associated items: trees, pinecones, leaves, horn of plenty, apples, apple cider, anything associated with autumn, scales
Associated colors: red, orange, yellow, brown, black, white
Possible celebrations: Go outside, notice the trees. Are any leaves changing color yet? (probably not, but note areas that will be pretty when they do). Feel the briskness in the air. Light some cinnamon or autumn-scented candles or incense.Meditate/contemplate on how to make your life more balanced in whatever way it needs to be more balanced and figure out how to work towards that.
Half-Autumn/Halloween (October 31st/November 1st)
Other names and celebrations at about the same time: Halloween, Samhain
Keeping with the naming scheme so far, this is half-autumn. But Halloween doesn’t have much association with any religion now so, it’s good too. It’s definitely feeling like autumn now, and witchy decorations are all over the stores. The veil between worlds is thin.
Associated items: pumpkins/jack’o’lanters, black cats, haunted houses, skulls/skeletons, pinecones, apples, colored leaves, apple cider, does candy count
Associated colors: red, orange, yellow, brown, black, purple
Possible celebrations: Traditional Halloween things. Spirit work (safely, of course), especially contact with the dead. Divination.
Doesn’t even need disguising, because Halloween.

MOVIE MARATHON CUDDLES || KELSEY & SCOTT
WHO: Kelsey Sterling & Scott Evans WHEN: September 21st, 2017 WHERE: Kelsey’s place, Cotton Plant, Arkansas WHAT: Kelsey and Scott have a movie night and discuss why they like “The Addams Family” so much, while cuddling
Kelsey let out a breath when she was finished putting everything together and glanced at the time as she walked into her small kitchen. She gotten two glasses, grabbed her ice cube tray and emptied the ice into a random ice bucket that she had gotten from a hotel in California. She pulled out her phone, waiting anxious. She was looking forward to this with Scott, since it might end up being fun instead of a disaster.
Scott had managed to quickly shower after work. He had been called out to a small fire, and while it wasn't a huge disaster, Scott could still smell the smoke on him. It didn't take him long to finish up and drive off to buy the promised Dingdongs, as well as some pizzas. Within a small matter of time, Scott pulled up at Kelsey's place and got out of his car to make his way up to the door. He was honestly looking forward to this; he needed an evening where he could just relax and watch some great Halloween films, and he was happy that it was in Kelsey's company. He knocked on the door and once she opened the door, he stood there with the food and a bright smile on his lips. "Hiya! You ordered a Scott, complete with snacks? Batteries are not included."
Kelsey smiled when she saw him standing there and did a quick snap of her fingers. "Darn, I was so looking forward to having batteries. I guess next time." She replied as she stepped to the side and shut it behind him. "You can put the pizzas and the Dingdongs on the coffee table and let me get our cups and drinks. Also, beware of the skeleton in the corner, it's motion activated." She headed into the kitchen, grabbed their cups and paper plates along with napkins then she headed back into the living room.
Scott grinned as he walked in and set the food down. Looking around for a bit, he saw the coffee table and nodded and put the food down. Obviously, when Kelsey mentioned the skeleton, Scott couldn't help but chuckle to himself. He was the kind of guy to walk down the aisle of Toys R' Us and press every button, so he /had/ to try this out too. Standing in front of it, it started going off and Scott couldn't help but laugh. "I love this!" He said, loud enough for Kelsey to hear it.
Kelsey glanced up to see Scott in front of the skeleton and let out a laugh along with a grin. "Good! Im glad that you love it!" She replied at the same volume, grabbed the movie stack and pulled out the first movie that they will watch. Once it was in the blu-ray player, she grabbed the bowl that came with it and placed in its hands. "That way, the kids can grab the candy out of the bowl and enjoy the skeleton as well." She glanced up at him and looked at the Skeleton.
Scott looked back over his shoulder to catch Kelsey's reaction and laughed with her. He loved Halloween - not because of the kids coming around, but because of the atmosphere. There was something cozy and nice about staying in and watching all of those scary movies made for the occasion. "That's really clever!" He said, before walking over and sitting on the couch. "So we're starting with "The Addams Family", right?"
Kelsey "Yeah, I also painted a thing for Halloween but Im still in the process of finishing it up." Kelsey replied as she followed him to the couch and moved some of the pillows. She nodded as she grabbed the bag of popcorn she had gotten from work and glanced over at him with a smile. "Yes and after that, 'The Addams Family Values.' because why stop after the first one?" She slipped off her shoes and gotten more comfortable on the couch. "You can make yourself at home too."
Scott was already loving this. He hadn't seen those movies in /forever/, so it was such an epic throwback. Nodding, Scott took his shoes off too and settled more down on the couch, so he was comfortable. After that, he unbuttoned his jeans - just to feel more at home. "I'm so happy that I'm watching these films with you, because thank God, you have great taste," He told her with a big smile. "For the last three years, I've been working during Halloween and I never thought to start early on the films, so I'm glad that we're doing this, you know?"
Kelsey tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and smile as she glanced over at him. "Well, thank you and Im glad that you're happy. I was afraid that I would be watching these films by myself." She moved where her body was kind of facing him and the screen as she talked. "Ouch, that doesnt sound too much fun and of course. Do you have to work this Halloween?"
Scott shrugged his shoulders. "I could never pass the opportunity of watching Halloween films with a friend," Scott told Kelsey, leaning his head back a bit and smiling at her. He was so relaxed right now, it was nice. "Whenever you want to watch these films again - even if it's tomorrow - I'll be here," He grinned at her and looked back at the screen to watch the opening credits. He quickly licked his lips before looking back at Kelsey, opening his mouth to respond. "I actually have no idea. I hope not. I've taken extra shifts during holidays, like Christmas and Easter, so I really hope that I get this year's Halloween off. But who knows." He told her, shrugging his shoulders. "If I do though, I'm /so/ dressing up as Batman!"
Kelsey returned the smile as she gotten more comfortable after grabbing the stereo remote and looked at him as she rested her head against the back of the couch. "Great, I'll make sure to let you know." She returned the grin before she glanced at the screen, adjusted the volume some and stretched out her legs some. She glanced back at him as he talked, nodded as she listened and placed the remotes on the table. "Hope so, because I was going to ask you if you wanted to hang out on Halloween." She grinned. "You better and you better send me pics."
Scott reached over and grabbed a plate and put a slice of pizza on it. He nodded eagerly, hearing what she had to say. "Oh, definitely! Like, if I have the day off, I'll be here, in my Batman outfit, watching "Hocus Pocus" with you!" Scott told her, taking a bite of his pizza. "Then you get the experience the real Batman, and not just a picture-kind." He grinned and looked back at the screen to focus on the film now.
Kelsey let out a laugh when she heard him and nodded. "You better be!" She replied as she grabbed a slice for herself and took a bite out of it as he spoke. "I rather experience the real Batman than the picture kind." She swallowed as she looked at the screen as she gotten more comfortable.
Scott scoffed and grinned. " Who wouldn't?" He said, rhetorically and finished eating his pizza. He leaned back into the couch again, his arm stretching out on the backrest, above Kelsey. "I love Morticia and Gomez's relationship," Scott started, looking over at the girl next to him. "They're totally couple-goals, with their mutual respect and support." Scott was becoming more and more comfortable, sitting there in Kelsey's house, and he was really relaxing with her.
Kelsey shrugged a bit as she finished her slice and grabbed a napkin from the table. She leaned back against the couch once more as she glanced over at him as he spoke, nodded in agreement as she spread out the blanket once her hands were free and looked over at him. "Right? Their relationship is prime example of a healthy relationship." She leaned somewhat towards him and felt herself relaxed around him.
Scott had always admired Morticia and Gomez's relationship and could only wish for one like it, himself. Obviously, without the need to "torture" each other. A bit further into the film, Scott realized that he and Kelsey were pretty much cuddling; she was tucked into his body and he pretty much had his arm around her. Honestly, he wasn't that experienced of a cuddler, but this seemed safe to do and it felt nice enough to have the warmth of her body at his side. It felt safe, in a way.
Kelsey covered them both up mindlessly as she watched the movie and let out a sigh of content. She rested her head on his chest, hoping it was okay and knew that if someone walked into her apartment and saw them like this, they would be asking questions and wondered if the two friends were a couple. She knew that Morticia and Gomez had a great relationship, something that she idolized ever since she was a kid but wasn't for sure if she would find something like that.
Scott was grateful for Kelsey putting the blanket over the both of them, feeling like it was a real movie-night now. He didn't think too much of it when she started to cuddle him even more, with her head on his chest and all. It felt quite natural if you asked him. Like she just kinda belonged there. He wasn't sure if she felt anything for him, except for just pure friendliness - which he was completely fine with. Scott treasured each and every one of his friends and knew that if he tried anything with one of them, there could end up being consequences. Looking down at the girl who was resting on him, he smiled and sighed contently. "I think I connect with Wednesday on a spiritual level."
Kelsey draped an arm around his chest and let out a sigh of relaxation. She felt safe there, knowing that all of her problems rather melted away per say. She had like Scott more than anything and didn't know he returned the feelings. She glanced up at him as he started to talk, raised an eyebrow as she thought it was interesting and rested her chin on his chest as she looked up at her. "Oh yeah? How come?"
Scott shrugged his shoulders and raised his eyebrows, thinking about it a bit. "Well, she's genuinely very bitter and doesn't have time for losers," Scott said, knowing that he certainly could be very bitter - just more about himself than anything else. And Scott didn't allow himself to be around people who didn't want him anyway; people who he thought were losers for not wanting his company. "And she's overall just a badass, and I'm sorry, but have you looked at me?" Scott said, smirking slightly. "I'm like the baddest ass in the Evans clan."
Kelsey nodded as she agreed and smirked a little bit. "This is true and I have looked at you. Oh yeah, you're totally the bad ass of the Evans. You also have a great ass so." She said, without thinking and swallowed some. "Im also the bad ass of my family, so I totally get it." She quickly looked away and back at the screen, knew that she remembered this movie by heart then back at him.
Scott couldn't help but let out a chuckle. The fact that they were even talking about this just meant that Scott was really comfortable in Kelsey's company. He let out a laugh as he heard a comment but then continued to listen as she continued. He nodded, agreeing with her. "Thanks for the compliment, by the way." He said, giving her a slight nudge with his side. He looked back at the film to watch it, knowing how much he loved it.
Kelsey smiled when she felt him give her a slight nudge. "You're welcome." She replied as she gotten comfortable and rested her head on his chest once more as she watched it. She draped her arm over him again and let out sigh.

Emily’s GA Apartment
For future reference, I have compiled pictures of Emily’s apartment in Georgia. She had purchased it by March 30, 2014, going by this (X):
“Kinney’s gotten comfortable in Georgia for now, having bought an apartment in what she calls a “golf cart community” in a town next to Atlanta.”
(It should also be noted that Gimple said he’s had Beth’s death planned since season 4, so he would have cautioned Emily from buying a place: X.) Anyway, this post was prompted by @emilysnorman. In a post I made about Emily’s tweets early in season 5 filming, emilysnorman pointed out that Emily’s New York apartment has wood floors while her Georgia place has carpeting: (X).
The second part of this meta is also based off a post I read over a year ago. I can’t find it now, but I remember the pertinent information, so I researched it myself. If any of you know about the original post, please let me know.
Under a read more because it is picture heavy.
Emily had the place as early as the summer of 2013, as she posted this picture on July 13th, 2013. (The white bed frame appears in another picture which matches her Georgia place.)

Notice the white bed frame in the upper righthand corner.

Source (X). Posted November 23rd, 2013. Emily’s show was November 25th (X).
Source (X). Posted March 17th, 2013.
Emily’s show was that night (X), and this picture was not a latergram, going by her nail polish.
Source (X).
Source (X). Posted May 6th, 2014.
I was discussing all of this with @bethgreenewarriorprincess, and she pointed out that around this picture Emily started getting fancy with her Instagram posts, in retrospect.
Source (X). Posted on May 24th, 2014.
Source (X). Posted on June 14th, 2014. (My birthday btw.)
Source (X). Posted on June 21st, 2014.
Source (X). Posted on July 31st, 2014.
This is Emily’s apartment. In a latergram she posted late that year, she wore the same black-shirt with the fur-like fringe. That latergram is definitely in her Georgia apartment.
Source (X). Posted on October 31st, 2014. Emily hosted the costume contest at Eddie’s Attic that night (X).
Source (X). Posted on November 16th, 2014.
Source (X). Posted on December 4th, 2014.
This is the latergram. You can see she’s wearing the same outfit, and she also has the mug. She probably took both pictures at the same time. She likely has many pictures saved on her phone so she can latergram.
Between the end of season four filming and the end of season five filming, Emily performed at Eddie’s Attic three times. She first performed on November 25th. On the 16th, she was in Georgia for the wrap party, and she didn’t post on Instagram between those dates except once on the 21st. She likely was in Georgia that entire week.
Source (X).
By the 27th, she was with her family for Thanksgiving (X).
She was at Eddie’s Attic again on March 17th to promote the rerelease of Expired Love, which came out the following day (X). She didn’t post about her location again till the 20th, confirming she had been Georgia.
Source (X).
She then went to Orlando for MegaCon the weekend of the 21st to 23rd (X). But she missed New York so much that she rushed home the night of the 23rd.
Source (X).
If you were already in Orlando for work, wouldn’t you stay an extra day to rest up and to enjoy the weather? It indicates that she hadn’t been in New York for a while. On March 5th she was still in New York as she was on CBS New York (X) (X). On the 6th, she recorded her interview with MTV.com, which was later posted on the 11th (X).
Source (X).
The following day, she performed in Cherry Hill, New Jersey at Monster Mania (X) (X). This was also posted by delawareonline, one of my local papers, and Emily was so close what the fuck. Why didn’t I know about this? On March 9th, she posted a latergrammed picture.
Source (X).
Then she performed threes from March 11th to the 12th at the South by Southwest music conference in Austin, Texas (X). On the 13th, she was in Chicago for an interview (X), before she appeared at the first WSC on the 14th.
Source (X).
Source (X).
She disappeared on March 15th and 16th, so she was likely in Georgia, as she would have mentioned getting back to New York. If she had a few days off before MegaCon, wouldn’t she just fly back to New York? Why would she stay in Georgia if she had no other gigs?
Emily likely had her three Eddie’s Attic performances to justify her being in Georgia. Her Halloween performance would have obviously been as a cover while she filmed post-Coda. I think in November 2013 and March 2014 she was meeting with TPTB in Georgia. The meetings would have been focused planning and preparing for Beth’s arc. Such preparations would include the rigorous filming, her social media activity, and her answers to interviews she would be asked leading up to and post Coda. They needed to coach her sometime. They probably took her to the studio and put her through secret arc boot camp, which would include getting into a van from her trailer without being seen, tilting her hat the right to hide the bullet scar, saving pictures to latergram, etc. It’s plausible. Writers and actors communicate about their characters and upcoming arcs. She even met with the writers that April 11th.
Source (X).
So now we come to the second part of this piece. On the afternoon of November 16th, 2014, Emily posted a picture from her Georgia apartment. It was in support of Consumed, which aired that night.
Source (X).
Later that day she posted twice about filming the Bulletproof Picasso video:
Source (X) (X).
Source (X) (X).
I remember the post talking about how cold it was that day. I researched the weather for Los Angeles, and the mean temperature that day was 65 degrees.
Source (X).
So on the 16th, the temperature ranged between 55 and 74 degrees, with an average of 65. That water would have been too cold to splash around in, especially since it was the Pacific. I grew up with a pool. It takes a long time for water to heat up, and even if the general temperature is warm, the water will feel much colder than the air. The Bulletproof Picasso was not filmed in mid-November. Its album, also called Bulletproof Picasso, came out in September of that year, and the album’s first single came out in June. With how in-depth the planning and marketing have been for this arc, I would not be surprised if TPTB set this up. They wanted Emily’s first non-music project to be a music video referring to a bulletproof artist. The theme song played; “Beth” was first seen afterwards with the music playing. Since the video also has so many Beth parallels (X), TPTB likely reached out to Train and worked out a deal. The bum pic is in Emily’s apartment, and since the Train pictures are latergrams, that would mean her bum pic isn’t. She was in her apartment, and considering her last scenes were filmed in late August, she would have sold her apartment by then. On the 15th, Emily was in California. She reunited with a friend of hers (X) (X), and she was wearing blue nail polish. TDers later figured out that she was filming her Rockstar video out there (X). It should be noted that the season 5 wrap party was on the 16th (X), and that filming finished right after midnight on the 22nd (X). Beth foot was spotted on the 17th, the day Emily posted from her trailer. She was holding a polaroid of the Bulletproof Picasso shoot, and she wasn’t wearing nail polish. What likely happened is Emily arrived in Georgia on the 16th and spent the better part of the week filming before she finished the Rockstar music video.
Emily still has her apartment in Georgia, because Beth is here to stay. For a long time.
