Scenes/Things in Supernatural that genuinely don't make sense to me if Dean was straight:

The confession booth scene.

Sam just rolling with the fact that Dean's siren is a guy while still thinking sirens infect people through sex.

Dean being flustered by several men: Gunner Lawless, Aaron, Doctor Sexy, etc.

All the parallels between Destiel and other couples. (A big one being "last night on Earth" bc how do you do that accidentally.)

Having all the gay jokes be on Dean instead of Sam.

Paralleling Sam meeting his childhood celebrity crush with Dean meeting Gunner Lawless.

The boner Dean got when Cas cleaned up.

Dean gulping after Cas does an impression from a Western movie.

Charlie, a lesbian, calling Castiel "dreamy."

The way Mary looks at Dean and Cas when they hug.

Dean wondering why everyone assumes he's gay, while Sam not caring.

The logic that Charlie can't flirt with guys because she's only attracted to women, but then having Dean flirt with the guy for her.

Dean seeming disappointed when learning that Aaron's flirting was fake.

The amount of time Dean and Cas spend staring at each other.

Dean canonically having an orgy with Crowley.

A woman saying that she knows when someone's pining for someone else to Dean, just for us to learn that Dean was never in love with Amara.

The set design and script choices that lead to a cross in the background while Dean said "I do." to Cas after he came back to life.

That time when Dean wanted to say something and Cas was like, "It's okay, I heard your prayer." But Dean still looked like he wanted to say something important.

Amara: [about Dean] "I can see inside your heart. Feel the love you feel. Except, it’s cloaked in shame.”

The boy is wonderful and you adore him, and a tiny part of you wants to fold him into your family but you know he wouldn't want that so you don't say it. The man is your childhood friend turned half-friend half-enemy, and you're homoerotically flirting the WHOLE trip so maybe you love him but you don't say it. And they are both Gotham to you, both manifestations of the city's potential to save and destroy; the boy is a beacon of hope, the man a symbol of corruption. The boy refuses to give up on you, you refuse to give up on the man. You are trying to keep them but also trying so hard not to be selfish. You're in a car with a boy who is not your son and a man who is not your lover and they both HATE each other. Also they are the only two people in the world right now who aren't actively trying to kill you. Anyway I read All-Star Batman #1-5 last night 😭😭

I think i just realized why how Piper's identity is view by the fandom bothers me so much.

Of course outside of the fact her choosing to be unlabeled/no rush labeling herself is either not known or ignored. That kinda can make sense in a way since I know most people skimmed over her scenes talking about it or refuse to read those books at all and learned she had a girlfriend from second hand in fandom.

But think why it's really rubbed me the wrong way(outside of taking away representation that's hardly seen) is i never see her labeled as anything other than Lesbian or Bi in fandom. Not even Pan.

The character with the least restrictive view of her own identity is view restrictivly by most of the fandom.

One the reasons I wish her being unlabeled was represented more by Fandom is because of how much pressure there is to have a label. To be put in a box. And usually if a person(irl or a character) is shown or told to be queer in anyway. Either liking the same gender or not liking/showing interest with the opposite gender, them being Bi or especially gay(as some even erase the chance of a character being Bi as well, though I've also seen some force a bi hc on a canon gay character just for shipping but that's a diffrent topic-) is seen as the default if you're not straight.

So it feels oddly telling that many saw a character who chose not to rush choosing a label for herself and decided that she must be Lesbian or Bi and nothing else pops up in the conversation. It really feels like people are trying to push her into a label just to do so. I'm sure most are just projecting onto her or just having fun with hcs, but her being seen so restrictivly by the fandom makes me feel like it's something else there.

Idk, maybe I'm thinking too hard on it. Just something I noticed recently thought I bring up.

That being said. Shout out to those small few fans out there who write/draw her as queer/unlabeled yall amazing and I love y'all 💛

What motivated Taniel and the other care keepers for working with Cetus?

Taniel was always interested in merfolk, having worked with ocean mers before (kinda like an anthropologist but with mers. Syreniologist?). So she jumped at the oportunity to work with an elusive freshwater one, having a genuine interest in learning about him. So curiosity is one motivation for her!

And knowing that she's making a difference is another. For Jonna and Nikos it's the same. They help improve his quality of life and bring comfort just from being there.

I've mentioned that Taniel's seen the recordings from Cetus growing up. Well. When Cetus was still angry, reactive and more ill-mannered, the footage aided in the motivation for Taniel to keep going and not quit. He sometimes makes the same scared sounds he did when he was a child during the injections. So for Taniel, that's a reminder to never let it go back to that.

Honestly though... with the awkwardly shoehorned-in "therapy speak", the indiscriminately slathered-on out-of-nowhere gayness everywhere, and the writing in general (which let's just say I'm not a fan of), this episode truly does feel like a fan fiction fever dream and I am just as confused and annoyed at the end as I was at the beginning

I'm really not the biggest fan of season 1 of the original show so this is honestly a massive step up for me I'm incredibly impressed
