I would imagine the twinyards rushing to text or call each other for happy birthday only because they made a game out of it, probably one of the sessions with Bee. Game rules are: first to wish "Birth" on the 4th of November wins, loser has to then say "Day", call Kevin and ask him something about history, or exy, or the history of exy. The twinyards turn 38 this year. To this day, Kevin still hasn't figured it out.

wxs and n25 have really interesting story and dynamic parallels but no one seems to talk about it since its 1/2 3/4 and that means no yaoi

1 who gets too into their work -- to the detriment of their health -- and attaches their value to how close they are to their ultimate goal in life (which truly began because of an ailing family member) who for one reason or another takes it upon themselves to "save" something deeply important to 2's well-being and sense of self, something they are in danger of losing due to a struggle with their family.

3 who struggles with confidence in their main talent/passion and feels like they're stuck because of preexisting insecurity made worse by events we see only in flashback and how they're being supported by 4 who has issues trying to move on from the past and step into the future + fights w the existential dread of how their fun will end one day but is actually the first to try and break apart from the rest..

I understand that literature nerd Jason Todd is kind of overblown in fanon compared to it's actual presence in canon (a few issues during his pre (and post?)crisis Robin tenure that highlight it) BUT consider that I think it's hilarious if the unhinged gun toting criminal has strong opinions on poetry

Price sits down heavily on the worn-out couch, his legs unable to hold him up any longer. Something heavy and dark sits on his shoulders, something he can't shake of, something that sticks its tendrils deeper into his chest. His head falls forward, a shuddery breath escaping him. You hesitantly walk towards him. Hearing your footsteps, he straightens, pinning your with a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.

"Back from the mission?" you ask.

He nods.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, bird. Don't worry. How was your day?"

You sit down beside him, your warmth seeping into his tactical pants.

"Casualties?"

He starts.

"I tried. I really tried but-"

You wrap your arms around him.

His relief is immediate, shoulders sagging as he falls into you. Your soft, clean scent, so different from the musk of blood. The blood of the dead. The dying. "I couldn't save them," he says into your shoulder, eyes closed but stinging. "I couldn't and they deserved better, bird. You deserve better. I'm not a good man, I know, but I'm not a good captain either, I just-"

His voice cracks, and he goes silent. He expects you to say what everyone does. The "It's alright, Captain. You're a great leader. Just believe in yourself" shit.

Instead, you tighten your arms around him further, pressing your lips to the back of his neck. "I made soup," you say against his skin. "Want some?"

He tugs your closer. "No. Just you."

Captain Price. Strong. Reliable. Confident. Broken. There's so many words that hang in the air, between you and him, but right now all he knows is that if he crumbles, you will be there. He needs you to be there. For the rest of his life.

Gang :(( I finished cod ghosts. Oh my DAYS.

He lost EVERYTHING. Literally. Because first. It was him. His parents and hesh. A happy family.

then his mother dies (we don’t know when I think? But she’s lived long enough that they know a lot about her)

Then his home is blown to BITS, FUCKING BITS. He’s lost everything. But his dad and brother. And then (at least I HC it) he had no other choice to join the army against the confederation.

Then. His dad (SPOILER) dies. FUCKING DIES. Side note. The way rorke made Logan hold the gun as he shot his dad, was FUCKED.

(Elieas death is a whole other topic I could rant about.) so now, he’s lost his home and parents.

But he’s got Riley. He’s got Logan.. and then. Riley gets shot. She makes it. Ofc

another side note. That mission traumatised me.

but it was a close call. I can see Hesh starting to cling to them closer. Leaving Riley with merrick to be safe. And staying close to Logan on thier last few missions together.

THEN. When they get to kill roreke. Avenge their dad. Horay! A sad. But hopeful ending. NOPE. His brother. His only living (human) family taken away. AND WE DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO LOAGN.

I’m thinking roreke will do to Logan what the federation did to him. Break him. And build him into a ‘ghost hunter’ that will eventually either kill or be killed by hesh’s hands. :((

And Hesh just had to watch it all. Helpless as time and time again. He didn’t have the strength to save either of them. I KNOW. That dog is what’s keeping him going. Taking her on walks. Riley used to not be allowed on the bed. But god. Shes all he has now. :((
