i hope you guys know that i've been trying SO hard to resist the urge to make this a primary blog. i'm trying to be SO good about not being That Guy who keeps moving blogs. i'm doing so good so far!!!

but oh my god it is a nightmare trying to get people to even look at this blog and i think people's eyes subconsciously skip over the FOLLOW MY SIDEBLOG on my primary when i follow people :,) at least with primary blogs you can force your way into people's notifs when you follow them LOL and i feel like sideblogs are just... hard to keep track of? take a shot every time i see someone cleaning out their followers list and being like 'teehee sideblogs just message me if i accidentally unfollowed you bc i didn't realize we were moots <3 <3' i do not have it in me to keep of my ever fluctuating followers list!! to make sure bug boy isn't sniped!!!

also the idea of having to rebuild my 3000+ blog blocklist sounds daunting. but it might be worth it. i will ruminate on this

one of the biggest reasons i chose to write jean is the sheer depth of her compassion? it's been a while since i've written a character whose compassion is intrinsic to who they are, and jean has really been a breath of fresh air for me! even with all the power she's held, the phoenix force, etc etc—— jean's empathy has always been her one true strength. she doesn't have to be the loudest voice in the room or the leader of the x-men to show it either! jean just sees people in all their complexity (yes, partially due to her mutant abilities) but because she, of all people, knows pain on a level most can't fathom.

number one rp pet peeve isn't a writing style or related to theme codes or graphics or anything like that. no no.

it's when people say 'mutually exclusive' as a way to say 'mutuals exclusive' or 'mutuals only.

they are not!! the same!! it is so minor but it drives me nuts!!! if you and I are mutuals only it means we write with each other because we are mutuals, and we do not write with people who are not mutuals. if you and I are mutually exclusive it means one or the other, we do NOT write with each other. one option! or the other option! i'm mutually exclusive! someone can write with me or they can write with you but not both of us because mutually exclusive!!!! this has been a very important announcement
