- realism / hyperealism artist. uses powers for good or evil purposes

- lynchian horror surrealist or just generally draws horror adjacent themes

- anime artist that gets accused of twinkifying paul, can’t resist giving him moe eyes!

- yaoi artist, probably a mclennon and sometimes overlaps with the anime artist, either draws devastating pieces of art or really horny stuff. also frequently accused of fetishization

- cartoonists, primarily draws the beatles cartoon designs or caricatures / stylized stuff

- yellow submarine inspired artists, probably really into psychedelic and 60s art trends. overlaps a bit with artists who contour everything

- literally just robert valley’s art style. saw the rockband intro and was forever changed by it. all of us have stolen aspects of his art style

I am humbly recommending the album The Soft Parade by The Doors.

if you like “we gave a psychedelic rock band an orchestra” this is up your alley. many of its songs have a proto-floyd vibe à la I want you (she’s so heavy), with notes of the moody blues and chicago. this album adds onto the doors’ classic organ-centric bluesy psychedelia sound with new layers of musical complexity

If any Schmigadoon fans read the SMG4 Schmigadoon AU fic I might lose it because I am going to be changing two characters a bit to fit with the narrative better and they were underdeveloped and underwritten background characters anyway. But if anyone from the Schmigadoon fandom has an issue with Danny being bisexual in this and perusing SMG3 romantically the same way he did for that short moment he was on camera with Mel, sorry for your luck babes.

We got two men replacing Josh and Mel, one of them is gonna be pulling some men in this town despite its canon homophobia. (Mayor Menlove is still my favorite because it is so obvious to everyone but the closed minded townsfolk that this man is gayer than the fucking rainbow. It’s literally in his NAME).

And then I get that Betsy is supposed to have an ambiguous age and is implied to be pretty young (teenage years) and that its part of the joke since older musicals had people in their 20’s playing teenagers, but ima make her 20 in this. She’s still gonna be young by modern standards tho, but considering her father I doubt she would have a husband within her first few years of being legally able to marry in the time Schmigadoon appears to take place in (I personally say late 1800’s because Schmicago seems to heavily lean into the 1920’s and Great Depression aesthetic)

If there’s anyone who hasn’t seen the show, i highly recommend it. Here’s one of my favorite songs/scenes because it just… Danny, my man… no…

And no, SMG3 and SMG4 are not gonna be swapped one for one with Josh and Mel. But imagining SMG3 as Mel in this scene only kills me because I feel like Danny would sing this anyway despite SMG3 being a cis gay man in this AU because he’d be that stupid
