Sherlock Holmes, despite being one of the most adapted characters in media, is almost always characterized differently than in the source material. Despite having a habit of unnerving people with his deductions, and his distaste for the police force, Sherlock Holmes is canonically good at reassuring people, gets along amicably with clients, and has an affectionate relationship with Watson. However, he is almost always adapted to be extremely stoic and unable to interact with people in a regular fashion, as is a common trope with genius characters. Whether being smart but socially inept is a caricature of Savant Syndrome or a result of an effort to create flaw in a character whose skills were not balanced out with much deficit, it is clear that Sherlock Holmes has been the subject of much transformation in the public consciousness, straying from the envisioning of Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle. Is this modified personality better, creating a more well-rounded and interesting character? Or, does it instead stereotype and boil down the traits that, left alone, made Sherlock Holmes the quintessential star of detective fiction, restorting to trite and digestible cliché? Harry being reincarnated in the past as a different person but still has the memories of the future. He decides that he doesn’t want to change anything because he wants a normal life for once. So he does and when he goes to Hogwarts, he’s sorted in Slytherin, which he begs the hat no, and just has to go with the flow. He avoids Tom Riddle at first but then discreetly helps him when he’s getting bullied for being muggleborn. So as years go by, Harry is captain of Slytherin Quidditch team and has everything he ever wanted and is finally happy with life, at least until Tom corners him and offers him to be a member of his secret society. Harry declines and his happy life turns to hell. He’s kicked from Quidditch, gets more detention purposely, his friends avoid him because of fear. Harry is alone once again but it doesn’t bother him because he’s used to it from his first life. So he endures it as if nothing happened which pisses off Tom and starts becoming obsessed with Harry, wanting to breaking him.

This is a story discription, which I read somewhere, but remember where exactly anymore. If anyone knows what story this is and where I can read it again, please do mention it. 🙏🏻😭🙏🏻
