‘And that day, as the Sun withered away into nothing but ash, 

the light of the moon followed in tandem,  

leaving nothing but cold, loveless emptiness, 

where light should have been.’ 

Seraph stirred lightly, water rippling playfully beneath his cold fingers as they flitted along its surface, a weak sigh escaping his parted lips. A deep emptiness made itself known inside of him as he weakly pulled himself to his feet, gliding across the water with little grace as he trembled lightly.

In the midst of his melancholy, a disembodied voice echoed, its tone featureless and silent—nothing but a fleeting thought in his head. ‘Where are you going?’ it trilled softly. Icarus paused, looking about curiously.

‘Down.’ 

Seraph’s gaze flitted curiously to the crystalline water below his own two feet, and there, amidst the haunting stillness, his gaze intersected with that of another's.

"Macaria," he breathed, a semblance of relief coursing through his veins, his voice tainted with a devastating kind of grief. For once, the presence of the Vulture seemed forgiving. Charon's curious gaze shifted from his, and Qamar could tell they were falling apart as its pale, cosmically kissed skin cracked like porcelain, a reminder of the harm brought by the hand of the Universe. Pathos fidgeted anxiously as the still silence began to grow unbearably loud.

“I’m not sure.” He forced himself to speak. “Just… somewhere. Home doesn’t feel like… home, if that makes sense.”

The voice of Psyche resounded within his mind, thundering and yet as delicate as a whisper. ‘Nowhere will feel like home. Your home is gone, and we both know it,’ Charon reminded him, dark gaze piercing his own. Perhaps, despite the anguish it caused---though there was no malice behind its words---Artem had to admit that it was true. 

The blood of his light, everything he’d loved, was on his own hands.

“I know.” Icarus shifted anxiously, water fluttering below his feet. “I just… I can’t be around Asteria. I know she despises me, and…” 

A single drop of water sliced through the air, brutally shattering the silence. More followed suit. Juno crumbled, his once divine form now reduced to a broken heap. His mournful cries echoed into oblivion, futile yearning for a love that he had killed with his own two hands. Meaningless words spilled from his lips, an empty prayer for a distant bliss that had faded along with the light it brought.

Apollo's gaze descended upon Icarus' fractured figure, wracked with despair and longing. Their own ethereal form glided weightlessly across the water, while the stars whispered secrets in their ear, as if waiting for the world to bloom anew.  

The water below was clear. Empty. 

And it was just Seraph, alone, in a cold, serenely silent void, his tears amounting to nothing in the face of the endless ocean below. The moon in the sky shied away into the darkness of the cosmos, as if mourning something it would never hold again. 

Saturn parted their lips, and yet nothing but a low, haunting rattle tore through the desolate silence of space and time as their words went unheard. 

Time dragged on, halting for none as the world around blurred between dream and reality. Icarus rose wearily from his crumpled state, dried trails of tears haunting his face. His tired eyes reflected only emptiness, and Mind stood helplessly by, unable to alter the course of his drifting away, and they sat in empty silence, their life having long faded, only pain racking through whatever form they held now.

So I only started writing TWW fic in July of 2024 and I feel like I'm slowly starting to get the hang of writing these characters, so as much as I enjoy the earliest fics I wrote they're not really my favourites anymore cause (I like to think) I've improved character-wise?

My personal favourite is also the longest and currently the only WIP I have up: a feeling so peculiar. It's very angsty, though it'll have a happier ending, and it's a canon-ish AU? Where everything's the same except it starts with CJ surviving a suicide attempt somewhere at the start of season 4. It's a lot of recovery angst and Leo & CJ having an intense father & daughter relationship connecting over trauma. It's one of my favourites cause I'm proud of myself for having written 74K for it already, and I've really enjoyed exploring the different character dynamics and CJ's mental state through it all!

something they can't take away is kinda similar in that regard, in the sense that it's Leo and CJ being able to connect a little over shared mental health experiences. It's based on Leo's quote about addiction and eating disorders, and it has CJ developing an eating disorder in the aftermath of the shuttle leak. It's set on Christmas eve, almost 5K words. There's a hopeful ending. It's one of my favourites because I love exploring CJ's whole well-being during season 6 and 7, and just because I love her relationship with Leo and how well they can really get each other through different experiences.

grilled cheese & princess dresses total gear-shift from the last two bc this is pure fluff. It's a post-administration CJ/Andy fic set on Christmas eve. They're making dinner, Molly and Huck are there, it's a year since Santos took office. CJ's officially a stepmother and the whole thing really is just a happy cozy family having a nice evening and CJ thinking about how damn happy she is with them. It's one of my favourites because it's fun to indulge in fluff, and I'm just a sucker for some happy femslash. It's simply cute.

might just get away with it is also femslash, but it's smut, just 3500 words of PWP for CJ and Carol. I can never decide whether I like CJ/Andy or CJ/Carol better as a femslash ship, and I'm glad I don't have to choose. It's a post-episode of 100,000 airplanes, the ep in which CJ tells Carol "get on the couch, I'm gonna do you right now". In this fic she, well, does that, but feels guilty about it too bc of the whole assistant (and Catholic) thing. It's one of my favourites both because it's the first TWW smut I ever posted, because I love this ship so much, and cause I just really enjoy taking small bits from episodes and just going with them lmao

and finally all they keep asking me is tagged CJ & Andy bc those are the characters interacting, but really the fic is all about Andy/Toby; it's a few weeks after the twins are born, and CJ asks Andy what actually happened at the house. Andy gives her perspective. For this one, it's among my favourites because it was difficult to write and I'm kinda proud at how it turned out? I really tried walking the line between letting the character be as angry and upset as I imagine she would be after the house proposal, while continuing to show that love that there is between Andy and Toby, and not making it feel like character bashing of either of them. It was a bunch of complicated actions and emotions and I think I did a good job keeping it that way?

I absolutely LOVE when people explore what happens directly after story events, such as moments after MT attacked those fair workers, or after HMS reaches wholeness! I don't see people explore things like those a lot, and it always makes me so excited when I do!

I love love LOVE it when people go into depth about the anatomies of seemingly-human or human-esque beings! Like giving HMS non-human traits or giving stick figures anatomical differences from humans, like digitigrade legs or sharp teeth!

So, we were tasked this month to create a new character and give them a backstory while stepping out of our comfort zone. I created CJ Bonnaview as the opposite of me – someone who loves attention, is attractive, and wants to be in the spotlight! I used no CC, which was a struggle for me lol and I have all of the packs except for the Moschino Stuff pack. I really hope this is up to standard because I had no idea what to do for this lol I also filled out the PSD character profile that Lisabee posted but it wouldn’t save my answers so I just screenshotted them and uploaded to an album on Imgur which you can see here. Meet CJ Bonnaview, a thirty-year-old man living in Del Sol Valley with his parents, Joon and Liam Bonnaview. He’s a pretty self-absorbed sim with snobbish tendencies that’s far too up his own behind. In his eyes, he’s god’s gift to the earth and he won’t hesitate to let you know it!

His father, Liam, grew up poor before rising the fame through his music. Now, he’s a five-star celebrity and world-famous musician. His mother, Joon, is just as self-absorbed as her son, living for the fame and the fortune her husband provides.

Since he was a small child, CJ was pampered and praised, always told that he was the very best at everything he did, even when he wasn’t. He only needed to say what he wanted and it was presented to him atop a golden platter. Because of this, he’s full of entitlement, expecting the world to bend to his wills and wishes.

He wasn’t always a lost cause, however. You see, the most important person in his life has always been his grandfather, Charles. The man taught him to be kind and polite, to be selfless and love his fellow sim, and these lessons actually stuck. At least they did until the day he lost his grandfather. He was at the impressionable age of ten, and this loss struck him hard. He stopped opening up to others and lost all empathy for anyone other than himself.

His grandfather taught him one last lesson with his passing – the only sim that won’t leave you is yourself. He promised himself that day to never get close to another sim, and so far, he’s stuck to that promise.

The relationship between him and his mother is a strong one. Since they share many of the same ideals and morals, they get on quite well and love to lounge by the pool, talking about the latest fashion trends while mocking those of lesser status than themselves. The relationship between him and his father, however, is much more strained.

You see, his father realized too late what kind of monster his son was becoming. He’s tried for years to set his son on the right path, attempting to teach him empathy and kindness, but CJ had already been far too spoiled to take these lessons to heart. Because of this, the pair often butt heads, ending in flaring tempers and hurtful words slung around carelessly.

CJ has had the same desire for most of his life – he wants to be famous, a household name that everyone knows, and he wants the wealth to prove it. While the path he wants to take has changed many times, the destination has remained the same. When he was ten, he wanted to be an astronaut famous for finding an unknown planet. At age twenty, he wanted to be a professional basketball player famous for his shots that never miss. And now, at age thirty, he wants to be an actor famous for bringing charisma and beauty to every role he plays.

There’s only one problem, and it’s a big one.

His father has had enough of his entitlement.

“I’m tired of your entitlement!” Liam yells angrily. “You’re going to learn what it means to struggle and work hard for what you have!”

“What are you gonna do, kick me out?” CJ scoffed.

“Actually, that’s a great idea!” Liam’s angry expression morphed to one of approval. “Pack up a bag, son, you’re leaving the Bonnaview Estate!”

“Wait, what?!”

CJ tried to charm his way out of the situation, as he always did when someone became fed up with his ways, but his father is immune to the charm and doesn’t budge on his stance. When that fails miserably, he pleads with his mother to talk some sense into her husband, but she merely starts to sob and cry about how her precious baby was being taken from her.

After stuffing as many of his designer clothes into one duffel bag as he could possibly fit, his father handed him a piece of paper with an address on it, a key, and one thousand simoleons. After all, Liam Bonnaview may be strict on his son, but he could never simply put him out on the street without a simoleon to his name. No, even in his anger, he purchased his son a cheap house in Mirage Park.

CJ didn’t see this as an act of kindness, however. No, he saw this as pure torture and he was convinced that his father hated him. He’s always been one for dramatics.

As he stared at his new home, rain beginning to fall from the cloudy sky, for the first time in his life he felt afraid and wished desperately for his grandfather.

Okay let's talk about it🤗✨

So Cassandra Clare posted that Fairstairs art yesterday or sth where Cordelia was obviously whitewashed. We all know what art was that🤷🏼‍♀️

So people started being mad about which is obviously fair cause it was our first official chot art and that's what we got. What happened next:

People posted these CJ's arts talking about whitewashing. ⚠️As a person who spent LOTS of years being a part of tsc fandom, I remember that these ones were created around 6 years ago, before the first book came out, cause Cordelia was supposed to be a white girl⚠️And that's what i said. Did i support new fairstairs art? No, but if you don't believe me, you can always read what i said.

⚠️Next thing: i defended CJ saying that it's CC who controls how these characters should be depicted.⚠️Why i did it: cause that person spent years and years creating beautiful arts for this fandom, adding those works to whitewashing post seemed weird.

My fault: i focused my words more on protecting CJ. That's absolutely true, i said that new Fairstairs art is a fckn joke, but for some people who also have emotions, my answer looked like I don't care about the whole point of the post. That's not true at all and for that I really wanna apologize.

⚠️Next thing: people who really know me and cared about me showed me some of CJs arts where Cordelia has a really really dark skin and some of her weird answers about "why cordelia always has different skin colour on different arts" (she didn't take it seriously). AND THEN i saw that CJ is problematic. WHITE PEOPLE ARE STUPID AND NEED TIME TO EDUCATE THEMSELVES DUH and i really appreciate those people who just explained everything. Now i know that it was wrong to defend CJ that time.🤝

Was it too late? Of course it was🤗 Did i say that we deserve new versions of Cordelia AND Alastairs flower cards? Yes, and you can find it. Did people notice? Of course not, it's not that entertaining✨💅Happy Hunger Games🤤

I, person who never even watched any of these movies (talking about fb not hp), saw that Mads is playing grindewald. AS A HUGE HANNIBAL STAN ( i love this fandom too much, you don't understand), i was like: lmao mads just can't stop playing evil gay killers🤣😭

And i made a post about it (i didn't even tag hp, only mads, grindewald and hannibal)

BUT UNFORTUNATELY I'M TOO FUNNY😌 so it became popular. That day Mads deleted his inst page and i made a post saying: STOP WISHING HIM DEATH, THAT BITCH ROWLING IS ALL YOURS, SAY IT TO HER CAUSE THAT'S WHAT SHE DESERVES.🤬 People started making posts "one note - one terf dies" and one kid tagged me and told their friends I'm a terf and I was UPSET YOU KNOW but again

As a person who spent lots of time here i just know that justifying yourself is a useless thing, cause people see what they wanna see. They don't understand that some might really commit su*cide. (But not me, you can't hurt me if I don't have a soul😌)

All the problems with HSMTMTS:

I keep getting asked question on what happened in the fandom, and what is going on against all of the s*xual assault allegations against J*shua and T*m. This is going to be the post where I lay out all that I know of and inform the tumblr fandom on it because not all of you are on Twitter, and Tumblr is literally the heaven amongst fandoms. After this post, I’m DONE talking about this show and being apart of this toxic group. Along with talking about the s*xual assault allegations, I will also be addressing the issues during the BLM movement and other crap that not only the cast and crew have been a part of, but also the fandom itself. Let’s dig in.

Sidenote: I really don’t want any hate, I’m just trying to be open with you guys and inform you all. Also, I’m doing my best to remember everything, so if there is something that you want to know more on then please just message me personally cause I’m seriously SICK of discussing it publicly.

Not eveything in the fandom is due to JUST the cast and crew. This fandom is FULL of very toxic and creepy people.

A few months ago, someone (a grown women) who was overly obsessed with Olivia hacked into her grandfather’s account to turn it into a fan page to get undercover information on Olivia, as well as getting information on where Olivia lived. This grown women has also done some other seriously inappropriate things. If you want to learn more about the sketchy things that this women has done than you can go to Twitter and look it up.

There are always ship wars in fandoms, but this one takes it WAY too seriously. I’ve seen people get attack on their looks just for being a part of a ship. The ones that are heavily abusive are Rina vs Rini, Seblos vs CJ, and redlyn vs Redky. It has cause people to leave the fandom due to how bad the attacking got. On Tumblr, everyone’s pretty open about ships, but on twitter it is a literal battle field.

Disgraceful people still continue to ship the actors instead of the characters. J*livia and J*fia is what I’m going to talk more closely about. (First, josh is a grown adult and both Sofia and Olivia are minors, please unfollow me if you don’t see anything wrong with that). Sofia had to delete a few of her tik toks after one with Joshua went viral and people wouldn’t stop shipping her and him in her comments. Like one video she did, the caption was “I want a boyfriend” and people assumed they were dating and wouldn’t stop tagging him in her videos. As for Olivia, people have been shipping them since the beginning of the show. Fan accounts on all platforms have dedicated their time to this. I don’t necessarily remember if Sofia or Olivia came out saying that they were uncomfortable when they got shipped with their cast mates, but it started causing drifts between the actors because of this and Joshua wasn’t featured in any of Sofia’s videos after that and Olivia didn’t post as much as she use to with him. It goes to show that shipping actors makes things awkward and strained within their personal relationships. DONT DO THIS!

A person stating that they were friend’s with Olivia came out to expose Joshua of being a bad boyfriend after she tells everyone that Olivia and Joshua has been secretly dating during the press tour of HSMTMTS. There was clever evidence that showed they were dating and the girl came out with multiple receipts, and even went so far as to go on Instagram live to speak on the matter. But she then came out stating that it was false and she only wanted some attention. Apparently she was a j*livia stan. I can’t find anything on twitter about it anymore, since I’m pretty sure eveything was deleted. This can ruin people’s careers and I don’t know why anyone could think it’s okay. 

There are genuinely a lot of creepy adults that roam around in the HSM fandom. On twitter, there would be grown adults writing in detail how the kissing scene between Joshua and Olivia made them feel. People continue to post the gif of Nini and Ricky kissing and write out why it’s so important to them. People have taken that kissing scene and literally turned it into nasty and inappropriate sm*t on AO3 and Wattpad. Note once again that these characters are minors and it’s NEVER okay to write inappropriate stories about children. Grown adults need to be held accountable for their actions if this is how they’re acting.

Some parts of the fandom genuinely hate on both Sofia and Olivia for literally nothing. Just jealousy between their ships, and because of it, they think it’s okay to to personally attack the actresses on their looks and where they are in there careers. People continuously pin Olivia and Sofia against each other, like for example people bashing Olivia for not being as successful as Sofia, or Sofia being bashed because she doesn’t have the same singing career as Olivia. It’s once again, DISGUSTING!

This one is more about Disney and then not doing their part. Disney cut out the majority of Seblos’ scenes, which caused a lot of turmoil within the fandom and why Seblos felt unattached and awkward while they were together in all of their scenes after the dance episode. People called out Disney and said they they shouldn’t have put Seblos in if they weren’t going to go full out with it.

Onto the cast and the crew:

Kate (miss Jenn) got a lot of hate for exposing that Frankie (Carlos) and Joe(Seb) are in an actual real life relationship without asking them for their consent to tell the world. Don’t know whether they had spoken about them being in a relationship or not, but Kate didn’t speak on it after that either.

A video came out a few days ago of the cast taking cast pictures during their tour, and Mark (Mr. Mazzara) was standing beside Sofia in which it looks like his hand was rubbing Sofia’s lower back, and she seemed uncomfortable. I’m not sure if it’s a stretch or not because the video is super blurry and it’s hard to kind of see their faces, but you can clearly see his hand go behind her back. Personally for me, I didn’t notice anything too alarming, but you’d have to see for youself. I won’t be posting that and instead you can dm me personally and I’ll send you the link to the video.

A past comment of Joshua’s was exposed in which he is saying the F slur. #joshuabassettisoverparty was trending world wide on Twitter, with people wanting him off the show. He has apologized for it since then, but not many ever forgave him and it was just really his young girl audience that came to his defense, even though it wasn’t their apology to forgive. People that only stan him because he is a cute cis white male didn’t see the problem in what he had said, and kept saying that he was young and that it’s not a reason for us to hate on him, but he was only 17 when he said that, and it’s no excuse. Personally to me, his apology was super bland and he didn’t address it personally on his Twitter, but instead replied to a post saying he’d do better. Here’s what he had said:

Joshua also went on a live in which he said “boys, gals, or whatever” People accused him of being transphobic and enbyphobic. Others think that his words were being blown out of proportion. Here is that video:

I found it to be very ridiculous and rude that he doesn’t follow anybody on twitter or tik tok. On a live video, Julia said something about him not following her, and he just says that he doesn’t follow anybody and she shouldn’t take it personally. Honestly not that big of a deal, but it’s still shows pitifullness and arrogancy. Don’t know what his contract looks like with whatever agency he’s with, but maybe they’re just strict on that, but idk.

People hate on Matt (EJ) for being republican. He hasn’t done anything problematic or said anything out of offense, so for me he’s good. UPDATE: Turns out, Matt is friends with Benjamin Lawson Adams, a convicted pedophile. Here’s a brief statement in what happened:

He worked for the Weinstein company, so no surprise there. His arrest happened in May 2016, and his license was suspended to practice Law in July of 2018. If Matt knew what was best for him, he would stop having any and all associations with this dude.

That’s all I can think of on situations not regarding the s*xual assault allegations or the BLM movement. But there’s probably so much I’m missing. I’m going to make a part 2, cause the next half is too long to post here as well. I’ll label it #exposinghsmtmts so others are able to see it.

There are only two people in Ego Inc. who can, with complete accuracy, tell the difference between the Jim Twins.

Granted, it’s not that hard to do when the twins are in action. It’s easy to tell them apart when one is holding a microphone and the other a camera, or when one opens his mouth to speak and the other raises his hands. But the pair have made a game of sitting or standing together, still and silent, and seeing who can tell them apart. Bim used to be the only one who can confidently pinpoint which twin is which. Even the Googles are sometimes fooled, and even Dark, who knows the building and the egos like the back of his hand, cannot win when he deigns to play. There’s only two Jims, so the egos can guess correctly through dumb luck, but it’s always just that. Only Bim is certain.

And Eric.

Eric can’t say when he first started being able to tell the Jims apart. When he was new he was just as bad at it as everyone else. But as time went on, he began to see the differences without realizing. He started to look at the Jims as individuals, as Reporter Jim and Cameraman Jim, rather than a collective. And now, he can spot some minor, miniscule differences between them.

Hair.

CJ’s hair is a little fluffier than RJ’s, and RJ’s bangs sit just the slightest bit farther down his face than CJ’s. Neither twin ever does more with his hair than a quick brushing each morning, but CJ sometimes likes to mess with Bim’s hair gel just for fun. If he’s done it recently, the slight crunchy sheen of it is easy to spot.

Eyes.

Most of the egos’ eyes are some variant of brown, and the Jims’ eyes have some gold there that brightens both their gazes. CJ’s eyes have a little more gold in them than RJ’s, and RJ’s eyes are just a shade darker. Eric doesn’t use this metric often, though, because looking in their eyes too long makes his cheeks go pink.

Expressions.

Even their neutral resting faces have a spark of excitement and joy in them, but the underlying state of mind is different. They have the same amount of smile lines, but for different kinds of smiles. RJ holds back laughter, stifles snorts, resists the urge for big toothy grins. CJ hides soft smiles, tamps down giggles, tries not to duck his head and shield his happy face. RJ’s face is loud, is crackle-pop fireworks, and CJ’s is quiet, is puffy gray dandelions. Eric knows their faces when he tags along on their adventures, he knows the way their faces brighten, the way they laugh and encourage and talk him along. They wear their feelings on their sleeves, neither can hide a grin for very long. Eric always has to smile back, unable to help mirroring the twins’ infectious joy. Even when they struggle not to smile while Eric is trying to tell them apart, Eric can’t shut down his own grin. When he guesses right and they exclaim in surprise, when they finally let themselves laugh, Eric feels their warmth and basks.

Posture.

When the twins stand, RJ is a hair taller, standing more confidently than CJ. When they sit, CJ sits up straighter, and becomes the one who’s a tiny bit taller. They’re still a couple inches shorter than Eric, but they don’t look it. Eric often stands between them, bending shyly like a sunflower hidden in clouds, becoming just about their height. And things are nicer at their eye level, where Eric can sneak glances at the flecks of gold in their eyes, where he can retire behind them if things get too crazy or make him too anxious. Eric feels that a lot. The Jims have even dubbed him “Anxious Jim,” or AJ sometimes to be affectionate, and oh, that nickname always makes Eric turn pink. But the Jims are so full of confidence, and even if CJ doesn’t stand as ramrod straight as RJ, he has his own quiet self-assurance that he tries to give to Eric, and RJ does the same with his own boisterous devil-may-care attitude. Eric couldn’t match their enthusiasm if he tried, but he does try, and he can let himself explore alongside the Jims if he can stay sandwiched between them as they travel. And at some point in the outing, he’ll stand at his own full height, his eyes at the level of each Jim’s hair, and get to see breezes ruffle the dark strands around and through each other. CJ’s hair may look the slightest bit fluffier than RJ’s, but Eric doesn’t know if it feels that way, or how RJ’s hair feels to compare. He can imagine it, though, and let that be enough as he follows the Jims in their adventures.

Arms.

Their arms are skinny, almost no muscle at all. But not none, because they often lug around heavy filming equipment. Neither twin has more muscular arms than the other, or skinnier arms, or even longer arms. One might assume that their arms are the same, but they’re not, and Eric can see it clear as day. RJ’s arms are always more tense, spring-loaded, ready for action. CJ’s are just as ready to rise to carry things or begin to sign, but the energy is more simmering, less tight. RJ struggles not to shrug his shoulders and squirm when he’s made to sit still, and CJ sits calmly but ever-ready to jump up and go on an adventure. It’s the difference between a dog at the end of its leash, desperate to break loose and cause havoc, and a tiger sitting in the underbrush, waiting patiently for the right moment to strike. But those comparisons feel too harsh, too mean. The Jims aren’t fighting dogs or hungry tigers. Eric can feel the heat of kinetic energy, though, that excitement and drive to plunge ahead, when RJ flings an arm around his shoulders in camaraderie or when CJ gives him an arm to hold onto as they traverse rough terrain.

Sometimes they even hug Eric, one at a time or both at once, and Eric can’t think of anything he loves more. Their arms around him make his cheeks turn bright red, send him a-flutter with nervous giggles, but he always hugs back, always puts his own skinny, scrawny arms around them in turn. The fabric of their shirts, their heads on Eric’s shoulders, their laughter in his ears, their warmth against his chest. It’s the stuff of dreams, and Eric could spend forever savoring those moments, spend forever and day thinking about them when they’re over. Do the Jims know how much Eric loves their hugs? How perfectly warm, how tight without being crushing, how lovely it is to feel their friendship? Eric hopes they do, at least a little, at least enough to keep hugging him and not be deterred by Eric’s blush. But if they knew just how much Eric loves them, how much Eric longs for them when he compares their arms as they sit, how much he wants the Jims’ arms around him and squeezing, their fluffy hair tickling his cheeks, their rapid laughing breaths on his neck…Eric doubts they’d want to hug him at all.

Hands.

The first time RJ grabbed Eric’s arm to tug him along on an adventure, Eric had flinched and jumped back, and Eric knew that RJ could feel him start to tremble in the moment before he let go. Eric had been (still is) too used to the harshness of that gesture, to roughness, to being dragged after an angry Derek whose grip could be tight enough to bruise. And maybe RJ knew that, maybe that’s why he let go so fast and apologized so much. Maybe that’s why he never did it again, even though Eric never asked that of him. Eric remembers how RJ’s hands would hover, wanting to invite Eric along, wanting to touch, but not wanting to hurt. His hovering hands would usually land in Eric’s, long thin fingers and a warm palm around Eric’s own hand. The first time RJ did that, he was the one who jumped, complaining of how cold Eric’s hands are. Eric supposes that everyone’s hands are cold to the Jims, but especially his own, which always run cold like blocks of ice. No wonder his hands melt in RJ’s, no wonder his cheeks flush with heat. RJ is not so cautious anymore, he’ll grab Eric’s hand with fervor to pull him into an adventure. But Eric doesn’t mind it, he’ll gladly be tugged around by RJ’s warmth.

CJ doesn’t often grab or pull or tug. His cameras usually need two hands, and even if they didn’t, he needs two hands to sign. Eric could get lost in watching CJ’s delicate hands move around themselves in speech, and sometimes he has to ask CJ to repeat himself so he can actually take in CJ’s words. CJ will oblige with a cheeky smile, probably thinking that Eric simply didn’t pay attention the first time, or wasn’t able to comprehend the signs CJ used. But Eric is quite good at sign now, and the mistakes in understanding are because CJ’s hands are just too captivating. Even when CJ isn’t signing, when he’s adjusting a camera lens or wiping dirt off RJ’s cheek or pointing out an animal in the woods he’s about to film, his hands move gracefully and are as silent as the rest of him. Eric is in awe of that grace, in awe of those hands that can speak so loud without making a sound at all.

Eric learned ASL not long after he first showed up at Ego Inc. He was told it was required in order to understand CJ, who Eric learned rarely ever speaks with his voice. Both RJ and CJ taught Eric some rudimentary sign, and the three would sit in the Jims’ room and repeat the same words and the same sentences until Eric understood them every time. For most egos, the education ends there. Most can understand CJ when he signs but cannot sign back. But when Eric returned to the Jims later, asked to learn more and find out how to make his own fingers speak, the joy on both their faces was enough to power the sun, and Eric had gone pink to see such unabashed happiness. It was a time when such happiness was foreign to him still, when Derek still stomped through the halls of the building and only reluctantly let Eric free from his side to sign with the Jims in their room. Eric was never mute, but his words did sometimes fail him, and perhaps a part of him felt safer to know that his hands would be able to speak even if his mouth could not.

RJ signs quickly, his words run together without pause, much like the way he speaks. CJ is slower but still quick, his hands are still decisive, movements still sharp. Eric is slower than either of them, even now, but he did his best to mimic each word he was shown, each phrase that was demonstrated.

“Yes,” said RJ, turning his fist as though knocking on a door.

“No,” said CJ, pinching two fingers and a thumb together as though miming a closed mouth.

“Please,” said RJ, hand moving over his chest.

“More,” said CJ, fingers on each hand pinched and coming together.

“Stop,” said RJ, the edge of one hand coming against the other like a knife slicing vegetables.

“Maybe,” said CJ, palms flat and hands moving up and down in a familiar, wishy-washy kind of gesture.

“Be careful” is two closed fists with peace-sign fingers gently knocked together. “Excuse me” is the fingers of one hand curled and run across the other palm. “Help me” is a thumbs-up sitting atop a flat hand and brought towards the chest. “Thank you” is fingertips touching the chin and coming away forward - and starting no lower, as Eric found out when the act of starting the sign under his chin instead of on it sent the Jims into a laughing fit. Eric had been embarrassed, of course, but even then he loved the Jims’ laughter, and he hadn’t let it stop him from continuing to learn the ins and outs and careful turns of ASL. RJ and CJ were both encouraging, patient teachers, eager to find an ego who was interested in learning beyond the bare minimum.

One day, Derek was in a rage over a reason Eric can no longer remember, and at a loss, he’d fled to the Jims. Too terrified to speak, his shaky “help me” had sent CJ whisking him into the Jims’ bedroom closet to hide and RJ outside the door to tell Derek that no, he hadn’t seen Anxious Jim, why do you ask? Stuck together in the closet, CJ and Eric had spoken as quietly as they could, hands slow in the dark.

“Mean Jim,” CJ said sourly, tracing a “J” in the air with his pinkie and tapping the fingertip against his other palm once, then again at a new, tilted angle.

“Scared,” Eric said back, trembling hands spread open and moved in over his chest.

“You’re alright,” CJ said, pointing to Eric and knocking the edge of one hand against the flat palm of the other, flicking up twice. His expression was soft in the face of Eric’s fear. “Safe,” he added, making two fists and crossing them over each other at the wrist before pulling apart.

They’d stopped talking after that, because they’d heard Derek stomping into the room, either because he was too angry or RJ hadn’t been convincing enough. Eric had shivered against CJ’s chest, and CJ had used his hands to soothe instead of speak, rubbing Eric’s back to keep him calm and quiet. Just like RJ, CJ’s hands were warm like a hearth fire, but unlike RJ’s, were slow and calm when they went to take Eric’s hands, squeezing comfortingly and filling Eric’s palms with heat. Derek didn’t find them, and though the danger had passed, Eric hadn’t wanted to leave that quiet dark, hadn’t wanted to let go. The twins mistook it for residual fear and continued to soothe him, to coax him out of the closet with gentle touches.

RJ’s hands are gentle by choice, CJ’s hands are gentle by nature. That is the first hidden difference Eric ever noticed, and that was the moment Eric knew.

He learned how to sign “I love you” on his own, and he’s practiced it alone in his room countless times. Hands crossed over his chest before he points straight ahead, or one hand with pinkie, pointer, and thumb held up and shaking gently. He’s too afraid to use either one, and he doesn’t know when he won’t be.

“How on earth can you tell them apart??” asks an ego, incredulous, “They look exactly the same!”

The twins lean forward, just as shocked, but excited for an answer, similar-but-not-the-same smiles decorating their faces.

Eric can only shrug and try not to blush.

my most popular and longest fic ever, my pride and joy, my masterpiece, the only fic that maybe gives me writing rights besides my novel. This fic started from a somewhat cracky prompt by @heathridgemanor (aka the lovely ains) but blossomed into a somewhat beautiful journey about jack and ianto’s reunion 3000 years in the future. not only that, but it spawned several, several sequels and spinoffs (and many more to go) and this whole big beautiful universe and cemented the lives of captain jack as my favorite big finish audios. plus, so many of my friends love it, and that makes me feel validated.

ah, smlc, my one actual wip rn. older torchwood director ianto jones meets younger time agent javic thane, eventually to tie into month 25. this truly is one of my favorite fics rn. i just think some of my writing here peaked. plus, it might end up being my longest fic, and the idea itself is older than fool me once, even if only by a month. i’ve written roughly half of the fic right now, with 12 more chapters to go. i’m so excited. plus, i just think that the ending is brilliant if sad and will blow your mind. @violetmessages and @flamingbluepanda and kai agree!

i can’t say much about this fic without it being a total spoiler, but let’s just say that it follows a mid-s2 ianto discovering just how much he and his memory suffered at tw1 at the hands of yvonne hartman and going on a little angsty journey of self-discovery. this one is not truly a happy ending and is kinda twisty and philosophical, and i lowkey wished more people would read it. i think this one is brilliant and shocked me when i came up with it. plus, it just amuses me how so many people miscontrued the open ending to be happier than it actually was meant to be. 

never seen a mouth i would kill to kiss (torchwood | janto | complete | 12K | E)

would you believe that this fic was actually a birthday fic for myself? it was a balance between the older weirdly angsty livejournal janto fics from a decade ago that i got really into reading at a point and a more reasonable character analysis of jack and ianto. plus, i wanted no gwen bashing whatsoever. janto relationship angst? yeah, but no, gwen will not be a cause, because she never was. still this is like super angsty, but i like it. it’s a testament to me writing different kinds of fic and not just the same genre over and over again. plus, it’s me writing canonical fic. or fic that could fit into canon.

Mutually Assured Uncooperation (torchwood and agents of shield | complete | 31K | T)

the comfort show you’ve watched since you were thirteen is ending in 2020 and plus aligns closely with this show you’ve gotten really into for the last few months? write a crossover. this was an idea i’d had brewing for a while since october 2019 (when i watched torchwood) because of the parallels between both shows, but i finally started writing it in feburary 2020. i wrote some scenes in class. little did i know, roughly a few weeks later, i would be leaving my campus and not returning since. ouch. but anyways, this was sort of my tribute to agents of shield, which means so much to me. and although i have written so much torchwood fic since then and my writing and characterization has improved, this fic is still special to me.

N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice) For DC cause I guess that’s my main fandom, all of them hanging out together more, especially in the college years, I’m way more into the group dynamics and not that I’m complaining but it’s very Joey/Pacey heavy at least from what I’ve seen on tumblr/ More gifsets of all the ladies not just Joey and Jen. I know that I mainly create Joey sets but I love them all/ less Jensen Ackles as CJ. I’m sorry but I hate his character and the DC tag is filled with it. Is that technically a see more answer?

P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas) Ok so for Supernatural cause after I watched the finale and loved it I’ve been rewatching. I’m on Season 4 and a really cool au to me would be Castiel says that some humans can withstand seeing an angel’s true form. Dean isn’t able to with the glass shattering and the high pitched noises. I think it would have been really cool if Sam had been able to see his true form cause he does say while in the cage he saw Lucifer’s true form and Lucifer is an angel so...  That would also add an interesting dynamic between Dean/Cas and Sam as Cas sees Sam as an abomination with the demon blood. Anyway if I was a fic writer I would write that fic.

Platonic roceit high school au where they start off as rivals that slowly turns into best friends because of a common enemy (the school board threatening to cut the theater program)

It starts off with Roman being his natural dramatic self on and off the stage and for some reason, Roman's loud, charismatic self just... grates on Deceit's nerves 

Like God what does this pompous ass know about theater? What does he know about living for the role he's in, about inserting himself so deep into character that he becomes the character until he's off the stage.

What does Roman know and why the hell is he so much better? it just irritates the hell out of Deceit, the jealousy he feels

One day, when Roman is talking loudly with his friends who aren’t in theater but band (Patton), art club (Virgil), and the robotics club (Logan), Deceit makes a snide, passive aggressive remark about Roman being a traitor to the theater program by mingling outside of the group. it pisses Roman off and the rivalry starts hot and strong.

Over the months of lets say sophomore year they're always at each others throats, getting along only when their characters call for it on stage and it drives everyone else in the department nuts because during the rehearsals they're fighting, making crude comments and mean insults rather than practicing and the quality of their acting goes down because of it.

One day a representative of the board of directors watches their worst performance yet and... silence. deceit knows they were there, he heard the theater teacher talking about it with the principal in the hallway during his free period. roman doesn't and remains oblivious to the danger they're in.

Until Mr. Octavius (cause why not name October that) gathers the theater club together a week later and says, with a solemn look, that the club is getting cut from funding and the next year drama will no longer be available.

Deceit and Roman both are pretty heartbroken at the news, but Roman refuses to give up the idea of "saving" the club and it drives Deceit mad. what can they do to change the mind of the board of directors? They're just kids! and one day, after hearing Roman plot with his friends, he snaps the same question, going on about how it was all their fault because Roman was too arrogant to see past his rivalry to actually work together

roman ignores the indignant rage at having the blame pinned on him for a moment because deceit is crying and, though he knows he'll refuse to admit it, he wants to help

"Then lets both work together. Make this club so good, so amazing at what we do that the next time some board of whatsits member comes down to watch, they HAVE to keep the club."

Deceit is shocked into silence before quickly frowning. “What do you propose we do that will make them actually come and visit again, then?”

Roman shrugged, getting up and beaming at his rival. “First we’ve gotta improve our acting skills and working together skills before we worry about getting their attention again.”

Deceit, still shocked, just nods and Roman’s grin grows. Behind him, Deceit sees his friends roll their eyes affectionately at Roman’s determination.

It’s hard for them at first, Deceit wanting to try but struggling to because he’s so used to working against Roman that working with him was just... difficult.

But he did his best, barring the sassy insults because keeping Deceit from calling Roman the queen of the castle was like keeping an ostrich from trying to mate with humans. Necessary but difficult and not most bothered.

After a particularly nasty insult (that Deceit actually felt kind of bad for letting slip), Roman snapped.

“What is your issue, Hamlie! I’ve been doing my best to get along with you, trying to fix our mistake and yet you can’t seem to make the same effort!”

Deceit flinched at the nickname, scowling. “As if you’re blameless, Turkey,” he muttered, crossing his arms.

Roman gasped at that. “You take that back!”

Deceit blinked, his arms dropping to his sides. 

“You understood that insult? I thought you were an idiot.”

Scoffing, it was Roman’s turn to cross his arms. “As if I haven’t studied various stories like that. Greek and Roman history and religion? My favorite things to research.”

Okay... maybe Deceit underestimated him just a tad.

“Alright, fine. I’ll... try harder to get along with you.”

Roman frowned. “You haven’t answered my question.”

“What question?”

“What is your issue, Nagini.”

Deceit sighed, looking out at the seats of the theater, both being on the school stage right now to practice extra for the next show.

“I’m...” Deceit grit his teeth, grinding them together, “I’m jealous. Of you.”

Roman was quiet, so he continued.

“You’re talented. Better than me at getting into character, figuring out how they would act and speak. You learn the character and then you become the character and I’m always just slightly to the left of where I need to be, never really sticking the landing of who I need to be and it’s infuriating because it doesn’t even look like you try.”

More silence.

“Well, it’s not like I don’t work it at... I try just as hard as everyone else.”

Deceit finally looked back to Roman to see him... blushing? and not looking at him.

“Listen you want my advice? It’s the little things that matter. I put a lot of thought in the characters I play. Where did they grow up? How did they grow up? What drives them, their goals? It’s... a lot of work. I usually practice with Patton a lot to get a better understanding of what they’re like.”

Deceit sighed, running a hand through his hair, his hat tossed to the side with his coat so he wouldn’t feel too hot under the stage lights.

“Alright, enough with the mushy stuff, let’s get back to work.”

Roman grinned and nodded.

After that they did work a lot better together, Deceit having a new respect for Roman after learning just how much effort he puts into his work.

It wasn’t long until the first performance where they actually worked together came and passed, the show being such a success they actually felt ready to talk to the principal about convincing the representative to come back and see them in action.

Skeptical, the principal agreed to try, but made no promises.

They did their best to practice for the next performance but the hope and dread that they had swirling in their heads was distracting.

One day when they were taking break in Roman’s room, Deceit spinning in Roman’s desk chair while Roman laid on his bed, Roman spoke up.

“What if they say no?”

Deceit stopped, raising an eyebrow at Roman. “What if they don’t?”

Roman raised up on his elbows, frowning at Deceit. “No, you don’t... Deceit what if they say no.”

Deceit tilted his head, fidgeting with his hands in his jacket pockets.

“Then we’ll petition for the drama club to be reopened next year.”

Roman sat up properly now so he could chew on a fingernail. “And if that doesn’t work?”

Deceit hummed. “We’ll keep trying. What’s wrong, Roman, you don’t seem the type to lose hope.”

Roman puffed up his chest. “I’m not! I just... I’m worried. Theater is what I want to do with my life, if I don’t have my high school years to refine my skill and get scholarships to a college with an amazing theater program, what am I going to do?”

Both brows raised, Deceit leaned forward to get a better look at Roman.

After a moment of silence, he nodded. “You’ll find another way. You’re a fighter Roman, I doubt you’ll stop until you’ve exhausted every option and then some.”

Roman stared at Deceit, brow furrowed before suddenly grinning.

“You’ve grown soft.”

Deceit glared, grabbing a pencil from the desk and throwing at a laughing Roman.

The Board of Directors agree to send another representative, and Roman hugs a blushing Deceit so hard at that news he lets out a squeak. 

They practice together even more, Roman and Deceit both surprising the rest of the club when Roman breaks character to make Deceit actually start laughing (well, snickering is a more accurate descriptor).

After a nasty stumble of lines on Deceit’s end that sends Roman into a fit of laughter while Deceit can’t resist the grin at making the other laugh, he suddenly realizes that... shit he thinks of Roman as a friend now.

He enjoys Roman’s company, even seeking it out when he knows he’s not going to be with his other friends, loves to make the other laugh so hard he lets out an ugly snort.

It’s... nice to have a friend that isn’t Remus, honestly.

With that realization, Deceit works harder to get better, not only for the sake of the club but also to make his new friend proud of his progress.

They managed to put on the best performance they could have, and the school gets to keep the drama club.

Deceit is so happy, he actually laughs out loud in genuine joy, turning to Roman with a wide grin, having that same smile returned to him it’s... exhilarating.

not that anyone asked for my opinion BUT these are a couple of my… fav deh fics of all time!* they’re all linked to ao3 and i think i have all the authors tagged that i know of that has a tumblr so

*i made this list especially for fics that aren’t, like.. as well known as some of the Popular Fandom Fics, partially bc everyone’s already read them and knows how awesome they are and partially bc otherwise this list would be ten pages long hehe,,, also sorry if you’re seeing this twice, i had to repost bc the links were all broken ?? 

throwing under a readmore bc this is a chunky boy!!!!! keep in mind that these aren’t in any particular order:

in the in-between - chchchchcherrybomb, vinegar-and-glitter (x) [tree bros] – Connor’s turning 27. Evan’s sitting the bar exam. Over and over again. – itsa timeloop au!! i’m not sure if this is a common au or not, but i’ve never read anything else like this before, and ohhhh my god. each chapter is a switch-off from connor’s pov to evan’s pov, and i assume the authors each wrote for one character (?), but oh my god their writing works so well together?? they both have distinct styles and ways of writing but it flows together perfectly,, without spoiling anything, ev and connor’s dynamic in this universe is a lot different to anything else i’ve personally read before, partially because they’re quite a bit older here than in canon (which, while is obviously portrayed, they still are easily recognizable as the characters they are in the musical), and partially because it strays away from the common ‘they’re both misfits/not doing great, but connor is worse for wear and evan has to save him’, which i think is rlly nice.. (also, like, never have i ever considered that evan would want to be a lawyer, but after reading this fic not only am i sold on it but i’m convinced 100% that him being a lawyer could genuinely be fuckin canon) (also also, the evan characterization in this? hands down my favorite out of any fic i’ve ever read tbh) the world building is really incredible too - like, i don’t even want to consider this one a fuckin fic bro because it’s like highkey just this incredible novel?? it also has a completed sequel called it’s always been you (x) that i haven’t finished that takes place after the events of this fic, and so far?? also fucking incredible 15/10 i definitely recommend

lapse - cecropia / @wildflowermonet (x) [tree bros] – “For what it’s worth,” Connor says casually, “I don’t think you should die tonight.” – welcome to another installment of ‘kayla read this and immediately couldn’t think about anything else for a solid consecutive 12 hours’!! evan and connor have really wonderful characterizations in this one too - i’m pretty sure i’ve elaborated on it before but literally my favorite thing is when people actually write evan as more than an anxious kid, and omg this author did that perfectly asfjkdsg - you can see the subtle Growth as he gets more comfortable with connor and jared (and all the other deh characters too bc this fic has a lovely fOUND FAMILY FINISH AT THE END EEE) and it’s just. aaaah. *heart eyes emoji*. it’s set in their senior year, and they form an unsteady friendship and learn to lean on each other and figure out the whole ‘having friends’ thing, midway through evan realizes he’s a-pinin’, it’s just. Great. this fic is relatively new too i think so u def def def should go give it a read and give the author some love!!!!!!!!!!!

to have a friend - demistories / @transanabeth (x) [tree bros] – Pretend to be friends with Connor Murphy, who yells at people and skips class to smoke and pushes people and threw a printer in the second grade, for twenty dollars a week.

Evan closes his hand around the bill and then stuffs it into his pocket.

“I-I’ll do it.” – ok this is one of, if not, the first fic i’ve ever read coming into the fandom, so it of course has a rlly special place in my heart!! it’s a classic ‘fake dating au’, also with switching povs between chapters. connor offers evan 20$ a week to be his fake friend, almost follows through with the events of the musical but doesn’t, finds out about evan’s own attempt, and they just sorta… cope together. it’s a lot of second guessing bc neither of them knows if the other considers the other a friend or not, and ofc when the fake dating part comes in that gets amplified by 10 asdfghj. honestly i think it’s a cooler approach to the fake dating au troupe (the chapter titles are increments of 20$, which honestly is equally cruel as is creative) and is so!! heartwrenching!!! it’s been a while since i’ve read it but i’m pretty sure that i bawled at the twist so >’D

the only thing is that this fic isn’t finished and there isn’t an intention for it to be finished from what i know of(?) - the author included a brief synopsis of the ending to tie loose ends and give a sort of closure to the fic, but that absolutely doesn’t take away from how freaking incredibly written it is and doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it a read anyway !! i kept up with it while it was a WIP and honestly every time i got the email notification that it updated i dropped everything to fuckin read that shit 😤😤 when i think of deh fics, this is honestly just one of the first that comes to mind for me just bc it was one of the first ones i’ve read, and it just… was so good that i still think about it months after i read the last chapter safkjasf

no comfort in the truth - @nothingunrealistic (x) [kleinsen] – Like everyone in the world, Evan has the last words his soulmate will ever say to him on his skin.

Evan hears a lot of last words during his senior year. – okay if this were an accurate list i’d literally have every drabble soph has ever written down on here but that is entirely beside the point

literally knowing beforehand that this is a kleinsen fic and then reading the summary, u kno this shit is going to be painful ,, honestly this style is one of my fave fic formats (especially when it comes to writing in the canon deh universe) because like ,, it’s simplistic but works really well as a story-telling method?? not everything has to be perfectly strung together and every day doesn’t have to be written out for it to still convey the same like.. impact as a super long fic would, and honestly writing it in like flashes or snippets makes the build up that much more anticipating? bc again when u write within the events of the musical it’s not like u don’t know what’s going to happen,, u can focus less on worldbuilding bc hey, it’s already done for u, and instead write more indepthly about the topic of the soulmate au!! but uhhh REGARDLESS soph is literally the kleinsen matriarch in my eyes, they always write evan and jared w/ Perfect characterization and dynamics and just Ah! this one is angsty, but it has a v nice and hopeful ending, and i *clutches heart* love,,,

nowhere else i’d rather be:  nosecoffee / @nose-coffee​​ (x) [tree bros] – A fake dating au where they’re next door neighbours, Evan bakes, and Connor’s already a little in love with Evan anyway – this one is a series - the first fic kinda Establishes stuff and the second one gets into the whole fake dating thing!! they live in apartments next to each other, evan bakes for connor, they go campin with connor’s family, it’s just….. rlly sweet and i love it

also, it contains this hilarious bit that i haven’t been able to forget about despite finding this fic months ago:

What he doesn’t anticipate is that Connor would be there, too. – THE KLEINPHY CONTENT WE ALL DESERVE BEING PROVIDED TO US BY CJ AND EZRA!!! it’s a one-shot with just enough slowburn to keep you 👀 , jared is working through some stuff and after some fumbling connor is w/ him to help him thru it, the end of this fic has my heart aching the entire way through every time i read it and it’s just… *chefs kiss* (i even drew some fanart for it if you’re ever so inclined)

forever going with the flow, but you’re friction - lizzy_stardust_18 @delightfullyanachronistic​ (x) [band trees] – Zoe knew that of all of the things that her mother had expected from the evening, Evan Hansen showing up at her door with his arms full of her drunken daughter was not one of them. – big bet i wasn’t getting through this list without including fiona’s fics, are u crazy??? BUT this one is set a year (?) after the events of canon, zoe’s at a party and evan finds her, and they talk about stuff n’ things - there’s also a sweet moment in there between zoe and cynthia (in which cynthia is Rightfully Skeptical of evan) which is v wholesome and Refreshing because honestly the murphy parents never get written in a good light and fiona does it ~ perfectly ~. lotsa metaphors. evan and zoe are big dorks. evan is a taylor swift stan. what isn’t there to love

This show is so funny, dry and smart and sweet at the same time. I love how absurdly out of touch the Roses are, and how the show balances their outrageousness with the everyday humdrum of the town of Schitt’s Creek, and I especially love how their edges have softened over their years in town.

David and Patrick took my heart by storm, and are the kind of ship that makes me clutch both hands over my chest as I watch them. I loved the slow burn of them coming together and falling in love, and how much they really just LIKE each other in addition to loving each other. They really know each other and see each other and it’s so lovely.

**I’ll be caught up with the show week to week, so feel free to incorporate anything current! Also, I love all the characters, so feel free to include others!

Prompts:

They plan the perfect wedding, but in the end, they just can’t wait another minute to get married. The courthouse it is. (Even if it means Ray is officiating).

I love the more sensible characters on the show teaching David how to adult. What perfectly normal things has he never experienced or done before that Patrick has to walk him through?

I’m interested in Patrick’s journey from being so shy and new to everything when he and David first kissed, to being bold enough to sing a love song to David in front of half the town. Tell me more about how he got to that point, and how (whether he knew it or not) David helped him get there.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Rebecca Bunch/Greg Serrano Fanfic

I loved this show from beginning to end. It’s clever, it’s feminist, it’s funny, it’s real (even as it features elaborate musical sequences!), and the characters are so flawed but so great.

I shipped Rebecca and Greg so hard in the early seasons, before he left. When I read that they were bringing the character back but recasting, I was naturally a bit suspicious– how would that work? Would it diminish my love for the ship? Reader, it did not diminish anything, and in fact made me kind of love them even more. Skylar Astin’s performance of Greg, a little grown up and a little more put together, made me swoon. And I began to see how they could make an adult relationship work. Naturally, things went awry during the course of the final season, but I think the finale left us with so much hope that they would find their way back to each other.

I love all the other characters, so feel free to mix them in– especially Paula!

Prompts:

Rebecca and Greg find their way back to each other! How does it happen?

Rebecca/Greg + any number of tropes– stuck somewhere together; inconvenient bed-sharing; fake dating, the works.

I didn’t expect to love this show like I do, let alone dive headfirst into the fandom, but, well, here we are. And a huge part of it is the Malex ship, which grabbed me from the pilot and never let go.

I love the rich history that’s been built between them, and how their connection is cosmic, whether they’re together or not. They just love each other so completely, and no amount of distance or time or trauma can make that go away. Ultimately, I just want these two idiots to communicate and recognize what we can all see already.

Michael and Alex find ways to keep in touch during the 10 years they’re apart-- letters, emails, phone calls, sexts, whatever. 

They’re trying to be friends-- trying so hard-- but every time they’re left alone together, they lose all their willpower and crash into each other.

Alien artifact or serum shenanigans-- they find something or devise something in the lab that causes unforeseen consequences! Take your pick: truth serum, stuck together til the serum wears off, sent back in time to relive a memory, you name it.

Superstore Jonah Simms/Amy Dubanowski Fanfic

This is such a fun and funny show, one that snuck up on me but that is reliably a show I look forward to every single week. Amy and Jonah’s slow burn was a delight to watch, and I love their occasionally contentious attraction to each other, and especially how supremely dorky, pretentious and pedantic Jonah can be.

I love all the other characters, so feel free to mix them in!

Prompts:

I’m really interested in exploring Jonah’s ambition or lack thereof. Does he have any, at this point? What if he decides to quit Cloud 9 to pursue a dream? Does he get an MBA or a creative writing degree? Does he decide to write a screenplay? Give me all the pretentious but well-intentioned Jonah and how Amy reacts to it.

A look at before Jonah and Amy got together, or if they’d gotten together earlier– sneaking around the store, or UST in the break room.

AU where some kind of scary outbreak (zombies? werewolves? giant bats?) has hit the town and they’re trapped in Cloud 9 while they wait it out.

I love this show and every character on it. It’s become a comfort show, especially in this political climate, and I rewatch episodes frequently (and along with The West Wing Weekly podcast!). if we matched on the CJ and Donna and Amy and Abbey and Ainsley grouping, feel free to choose any combo of those characters– if you can’t fit them all in that’s perfectly fine. (Also, I’m not very interested in a non-political/White House AU for this fandom.) Prompts:

For Josh/Donna: I’d love something set early on where there’s the same level of UST and flirtation that they had back then. Josh getting jealous of someone who’s interested in Donna, or vice versa. Or maybe something that shows Donna’s competence– how she’s the one who keeps the clocks running on time in the office. Or trading barbs that lead to something more when they’re on opposing campaigns later on. Or– there’s an episode where an asteroid is potentially heading for earth. What if (in that episode, or just applying that idea to another timeline) an asteroid/world-ending scare is what forces Josh or Donna to tell the other how they feel?

For Danny/CJ: In my rewatch, I very recently watched the “jump off a cliff and hold hands on the way down” episode, and swoon! I’d love to read how that convo would have gone if it hadn’t been interrupted. Or anything about how CJ and Danny are trying to adjust from being colleagues to partners in that time period of transition.

For the ladies: I’ll take all the gossipy champagne girls’ nights in the Residence you have to offer!
