   It was nice seeing Grace come out of her shell and out of the shadow of Academia.

   It was a huge task but Asuka was doing her best to lend a hand. Paying forward the kindness that Sakaki Yusho had shown her. He was still the one leading the charge to help everyone affected by both sides of the Interdimensional War spearheaded by Professor Ababa. He did, admittedly, spend more time with those of the former Fusion Dimension and soldiers of Academia because he thought they would be harder to rehabilitate than their victims. Something Asuka agreed with being a defector…

   Still, it was great to see the student body of her beloved Academia start to come around against what they had been taught. The Hunting Game was becoming what it should always have remained: a fun game between friends with no hard losses. 

   And again, Grace was doing great in shedding the cruelties of Academia. All for Sajaki Yuya, Asuka supposed. Like Father, like son: both made an impact through their love of Duel Monsters. It was good to see him recover from his own hand in the War as well.

   But going back to the Tyler Sisters, where Grace was flourishing, Gloria most certainly was not.

   Grace had the motivation and innate good heart. She was socialising with XYZ decadent no problem, always with a smile on her face as she helped in soup kitchens or the infirmary. Gloria, meanwhile, was helping but her heart remained stalwart.

   Asuka supposed it made sense. Despite being twins, the two were chalk and cheese in demeanour. Grace, as the younger twin, had always been the happy-go-lucky one with a smile on her face and without a care in the world. Gloria, meanwhile, had the exact air of sophistication expected of an older child. Even when the time between both girls was negligee at beat. She had always been the serious one with a no-nonsense policy that she only ever made an exception for when it came to Grace.

   Then, there was the matter of their prowess at duelling. The two were lethal as a combination. Some of the best that Academia had ever seen, solo or as a pair, they dominated many a battlefield – er, duelling arena. As a result, they enjoyed quite a few privileges that the regular soldier student did not. Everything from fine dining to better clothes to having a unique deck. They were a part of Professor Akaba’s envied upper echelon and inner circle.

   Asuka could understand if Gloria was unwilling to forgo the hierarchy in which she, and Grace, had been at the top of. It was likely a survival mechanism for her. She worked hard, she wanted to continue reaping those benefits that she had earned, quite literally, through blood, sweat, and tears. To have that reduced to nothing? For all the effort she had put into protecting herself, her sister, and her allegiances become meaningless in this strange new world in which all four dimensions were fused?

   That had to be terrifying.

   Grace could look after she leapt, and be fine for it since the other side was a much kinder world than the one she had come from but Gloria very much did not have that temperament.

   Or at least that’s how Asuka understood it and she was choosing to be understanding in good faith. Asuka wasn’t totally oblivious, though her track record may very well imply that she was since she had been on Professor Akaba’s radar as a student who may have use beyond being one of his foot soldiers hence why she had never been put on duty as such. There had been rumours about just how close the Tyler Sisters were.

   And these were not flattering rumours, either.

   According to these sources that Asuka had happened upon here and there during her own Academia days, the closeness between Professor Akaba’s two top dogs (though, tigresses may be more for them) was illicit. Their touches, their caresses, all signs and symbols of something much deeper and darker than simple sisterly love. It wasn’t weird for sisters to share beds or meals but the way they did it, there was something uncomfortably flirtatious about it. More than just Big Sis doting on Little Sis…

   Yes, according to these rumours, they were…

   But that simply could not be the case, Asuka was certain.

   She had always thought contrary to it. She thought that these talking mouths were being cruel and jealous because the pair made for good fodder as being tall poppies for the common students to cut down out of envy. There simply could be no way that they were a couple in transparent secret. It was too... wrong, too taboo, too transgressive. It clearly could not be because it was so defamatory, especially towards two girls in such an enviable position in the student body of Academia as the Tyler Sisters.

   Finally, after all this time of these rancid rumours going around, Asuka had proof that they were untrue. Grace could not be in an illicit relationship with her sister if she was flirting with people who weren't her. Specifically, Asuka and Asuka was actually quite flattered by that.

   Grace was quite a commendable young woman - and an attractive one at that. She was an excellent duellist with a heart of gold, she was taking to flight this next chapter of her life with joy. Asuka really, truly admired that about Grace and often found herself looking forward to the time she spent with Grace.

   Not just that but Asuka wasn’t daft. She knew what sweaty palms and a racing heartbeat meant. Especially when it happened only and exclusively around Grace or thinking about Grace.

   Moreover, this crush appeared reciprocated, if Asuka could be so bold as to presume. Grace did have a naturally flirtatious personality. She was just that kind of girl. Smiley, giggly, oh so effortless. No wonder Gloria had to be so protective of her since Grace didn’t seem like she was aware or an active participant in her flirting. It just happened naturally, with each curl of her hair falling out of place or how she batted her eyes.

   Now that Asuka thought about it, no wonder those rumours got things so twisted. Grace’s affections were innocent, pure, even, it was just misread because she was that way with everyone. Her true feelings were never too far from platonic but Asuka was seeing the signs. Up front. She was certain that she was the exception.

   Though, like with most things, Asuka thought direct clarification was best. It wasn;t necessary regarding those unsavoury and obviously untrue rumours but something like this, Asuka found her own courage. She wanted to confess her budding feelings to Grace. If there was something more, she would enjoy it tremendously but she knew when to be a gentlewoman if they were not requited.

   So, Asuka picked out a day to meet up with Grace. (But of course Gloria came along). So that she could get her feelings out into the open and express herself. (With Gloria in earshot).

   They really were tied at the hip, Asuka observed, not thinking much of it as there was plenty of opportunity for her to have some precious one on one time towards the end of their meet-up. 

   Looking ahead on the weather report, Asuka thought she picked out of a nice, sunny day for her to meet up with Grace (and also Gloria) but not so much. She had been hoping for clear skies of azure, a soft breeze but it turned out much, much cloudier than any of them had been expecting. Gloomy. The waters of the sea which surrounded Academia, being slowly restored to its former identity as a lackadaisical school, were still and slate-coloured. Asuka didn’t want to call it foreboding but it got darker and darker as the afternoon wore on until she decided it was finally time to ask.

   As a trio, two and a third-wheel and Asuka hated to say the latter applied to her, they’d done all the usually girly things. They chatted, they gossiped, they did some homework here and there as well as got as much as their toes wet in the ocean, their shoes and socks high and dry on the sands but they were all getting a little bit tired.

   So, Asuka tried to split Grace and Gloria. She asked Gloria to give them a little bit of space and Asuka could see in Grace’s eyes, how they pricked confused, that seemed a little out of the ordinary but it was ultimately allowed. Gloria hung back whilst Asuka took Grace a little further down the beach, where the breeze blew and the tide lapped at just to the side of them as they walked.

   They chatted some more but as though struggling with separation anxiety, Grace had them circle back closer to where Gloria was. Asuka didn’t mind too much but she really had wanted some privacy… She just hoped that Gloria couldn’t overhear, so she spoke low just in case.

   “I’ve been wondering this for a while…” Asuka mused. “But do you like me?”

   “Huh? Oh, um…” Grace replied. “It's complicated.”

   She glanced over her shoulder and made eye contact with her sister who had been sitting in the dunes. Bored, her eyes sharp. Just that was enough to prompt her to get up, dust herself off and shake sand loose from her clothes.

   “You don’t owe me an explanation if you don’t want…” Asuka tried to console her but she felt her heartbeat spike in a way it never had before.

   She didn’t like it. It felt more like fear than being lovestruck. Asuka had gotten used to the latter. The butterflies in her stomach, the feeling of risk but it was romantic for lack of a better word. This was far blunter. Far heavier. She didn’t like it.

   “It's not that, I do like you, but there’s someone I like more…” Grace confessed.

   Asuka blinked, “There is? Who?”

   Grace fidgeted again. She looked over her shoulder and like an apparition, Gloria was there. She was protective, her eyes fierce and her demeanour possessive. She laced her arms over Grace’s slender shoulders to embrace her from behind. Gloria held Grace close and Grace blushed. She smiled this adorable, tiny smile.

   “Me.” Gloria said.

   Her assertion took Asuka aback faster than she could feel sick over it. That feeling in the pit of Asuka’s stomach warped. She couldn’t believe her ears. So the rumours were true after all.

   “I do like you, Asuka, but I love my sister, you know?” Grace nervously elaborated but it didn’t help much.

   Asuka could taste bile at the back of her throat and something else, too, as she watched Gloria oh so possessively kiss the side of Grace’s face. She blushed. Asuka’s discomfort continued to warm her, though now between the legs - and she couldn’t believe such a reaction, that reviled her, too.

   “I’m not one for sharing my cute, little sister,” Gloria mused, “but people talk. Even to us, about us. I’m sure you're aware.”

   “I am.” Asuka confirmed.

   “So, you have use to me.” Gloria said, she jutted out her chin slightly, and her face turned very shadowed as clouds overhead moved to darken the sky above them all but exactly.

   “I see.” Asuka mumbled. “You want to use me as a smokescreen to better hide your, ahem, affiliations with Grace.”

   “Exactly.” Gloria replied, her tone was brisk yet proud. She was shameless, it should have revolted Asuka and yet, she found herself strangely intrigued as she was drawn into the twisted blood between the twins.

   “We’re a matching set. You can’t have one without the other.” Grace said. Diplomatic. Placating both Asuka and Gloria, Asuka realised.

   “I can’t help myself,” Gloria lamented as she caressed Grace’s face with one hand, and allowed the other to snake down the side of her body to hold her closer, “it's no wonder people have become aware of just how deep the bond Grace and I have goes.” Watching her touch Grace, Asuka got the impression that Gloria would really like to be fondling her right now. 

   “I can’t help myself either, Older Sister.” Grace giggled, she sounded utterly cherubic.

   “You must understand, too, Asuka? To be infatuated also with my dear Grace?” Gloria prompted her, her eyes flicking up to meet Asuka’s.

   “Right.” Asuka replied. Her voice stilted and dry.

   “So? What say you?” Gloria asked.

   They were two halves of a whole. Gold and silver. Attack and defence. There were legends which stated that twins were lovers reincarnated, perhaps it wasn’t all that unnatural for them to carry on that love. Asuka swallowed a lump in her throat and before she could reply, there was a spate of thunder. Bang, crash. The ordinance drowned her out as she replied to Grace and Gloria what exactly she would say to that.

It's immensely frustrating because the more we see of Absolute Wonder Woman, the less excited I am for it. It's a cool idea in theory (witch warrior raised in Hell becomes Wonder Woman), and the art looks fantastic. I just don't see how this is a story we should be seeing with Diana.

Absolute Superman and Absolute Batman are clearly working in conversation with their characters: Absolute Batman is "what if Bruce's parents were killed but he wasn't rich?" and Absolute Superman is yet another "mythos update for the modern era"+"what if Clark wasn't raised by the Kents?" AU. But unlike Bruce (who can reasonably still be recognizably both Bruce and Batman without his money), Clark (who still has Krypton and the experience of growing up as an alien on Earth regardless of where and who he's raised by), and every other Wonderfam character (where if you take away the Amazons, there's still something to build off of), Diana does not and cannot exist without the Amazons...so taking that away from her just makes this feel like a "Diana-in-name-only" story instead of an interesting exploration of what Diana might be like if she'd been raised differently than she was in canon.

It just seems weird that DC has chosen this particular story for the Absolute Universe's Diana when it seems like a story that would be better for, say, a world without Diana as Wonder Woman at all. After all, Absolute Flash is about a teenage Wally becoming Flash in a world without Barry. Absolute Green Lantern is a first contact story starring Jo Mullein. Why are we not getting that for the Wonderfam if DC is intent on talking about a "last Amazon" Wonder Woman who wasn't raised by them?

Why is Absolute Wonder Woman not a story about a world where the Anti-Monitor or Titans of Myth successfully kidnapped Donna and raised her in Hell for Dark Angel purposes, or a world where Circe and Ares let Lyta's Aunt Hecate raise her, or a world where Cassie didn't discover she was a demigoddess until the Amazons had been wiped out, or a world where Child!Yara survives the destruction of the Amazons by virtue of being raised in Idaho Hell, or even a world where Artemis became Queen of Hell long before Requiem? The premise here just doesn't feel like it suits Diana, even an Elseworlds Diana. Maybe I'll be proven wrong. But I'm getting increasingly skeptical the more information we get about it.

Should I do a part 2 with Lilith, Mal, Gnarrk Karen and Duela?

Current headcanons of this version:

- Dick Grayson | Robin (14): mostly the same but I'd say he kinda forced Bruce to accept him. Bruce kept saying he would deal with Zucco with his billionaire influence but Dick would not accept it, telling Bruce he can and would escape the mansion to take revenge. When Bruce noticed Dick would end up in the same path as him, he decided it would be best to guide him through it and that having an adult around to help him do it right is better than letting him do it alone with no training and Dick would 100% do it alone if necessary.

- Wally West | Kid Flash (14): I'll be honest, I don't think I have any relevant or little difference in my head for Wally. Mostly because I haven't read him outside of Titans comics and I think he's cool there. He starts off a little annoying but then he drops off and as Flash he is just a great friend to Dick and everyone so idk?? Not enough knowledge about him.

- Garth | Aqualad (13): My immediate headcanon for Garth is him already being able to use hydrokinesis. I feel like he'd be the youngest and least experienced of them along with Donna as both of them came from other places and are still learning about other cultures and all that. He has particular beef with Roy who mocks his whole dependency of water thing but he comes to learn that Roy is just trying to feel better about his insecurity as Garth is not only capable of doing magic but also being raised underwater means he is actually very very strong while Roy feels shooting arrows makes him the weakest member of the group so messing with the youngest kid, the fish out of water makes him feel more powerful. I'd say Garth and Donna would be easy friends as they know about each other's culture far more. Garth is also the wisest and calmest of them, I'd say but when he does get angry it's a very scary thing as his magic powers are no joke.

- Donna Troy | Wonder Girl (14): Donna Troy is a mystery. She's not the only child in Themyscira as Amazons here are quite capable of having children with each other (hello, DC comics, you don't need to make them r*pists if your canonize trans Amazons. They can literally just have women centered pregnancies without magic or abusing men for it), but Donna was adopted by none other than Queen Hippolyta. As far as she knows, Wonder Woman saved her from a burning building but after never finding her parents and sensing something different about her, she decided to take her back home where they found out Donna is not only quite similar to Amazons, but quite similar to Diana specifically... But Donna is NOT an Amazon, nor a clone. Donna was created by the Titans of myth, from clay to life, just as Diana once was, she was named Troia by them as she was designed to work similarly as the Trojan Horse, infiltrating the Amazons and eventually growing into their champion to destroy the gods and free them from Tartaros. What they did not expect is that Donna would follow Diana's footsteps and go to men's world in her younger years where she would meet her best friends and learn not to be a warrior but a human girl. She is a great fighter, of course, the strongest of the team, she became fast friends with them and even thought at first they could even be demigods: Aqualad had power over water and came from Poseidon's Atlantis, Kid Flash ran like Hermes, Robin was a strategist as Athena and that Speedy boy? His bow and arrow and handsomeness could only be taken from Apollo, right? It took a while for Donna to learn about humanity and teenagers but she fell in love with that world, even developing her own sense of style and fashion, changing a lot from the Amazon warrior into a teenage girl. A superhero teenage girl. (Maybe I'll develop this more with her transformation into Troia later down the line)

- Roy Harper | Speedy (15): My biggest headcanon is that Roy's mother (who as far as I know we have no info about) was Navajo and died in childbirth. Roy's dad raised him until dying saving Brave Bow and Brave Bow took Roy and raised him knowing who his mother was. I'd just like to make him a little bit less of the white guy raised by natives trope that lots of golden age comics did for some reason. Well, Roy here was not much different, eventually being adopted by Ollie and training with him and Dinah. In the Team, Roy is the rival to Dick. He is flirty, a showoff and wants really bad to be a badass not only to impress Donna but to come on top of Robin as he feels GA and Batman are rivals and so should they as the only regular humans on the team and at points he even denies being part of the Titans, only being at the same place at the same time. After his insecurities and anxieties take him to a dangerous path and conflict with Ollie, he learns to warm to the Titans as friends and family after they take care of him and don't judge him, trying their best to help and understand him.

Concept: The Romans have no respect for the Olympians.

Because none of them showed up to assist them during the Battle of Mount Othrys.

No matter how much they prayed and sacrificed. Their siblings, friends and fellow officers died in a battle they had no prior warning or knowledge about.

Their numbers were decimated as they’re mostly made up of legacies. Mortals who cannot be healed by ambrosia or nectar.

Titans cannot be defeated by a demigods hand without divine intervention. And it’s nothing short of a man made miracle that Jason Grace managed to defeat Krios.

Any calls for his father, to his patron were met with the usual silence.

Jason was barely standing when it was over and yet he didn’t fall until the day was won. Reyna caught him though she too was in a rough state.

They survived by the skin of their teeth. It was the first time they and many others had even seen war.

And it changed every single one of them.

But while the Olympians did not aid them there were those who did.

Lupa came back for the children she mentored and trained. Terminus became a fortress that vowed to keep them safe. Bellona is one of few Roman parents to come to her daughter’s aid.

Along with Hylla and the Amazons.

And many minor deities whose names had been engraved in each of their hearts. Jason promised that their gratitude would never be forgotten.

And that once the rebuilding effort concluded he would personally build each and every one of them a shrine in their honour.

But then he was taken too.

Juno expected fanfare when she entered with Percy and was in for a rude awakening.

Reyna glared the Queen of Olympus down, flanked by her dogs and demanded for Jason to be returned.

Juno had to feign not knowing and Reyna scoffed, contemplating how she shouldn’t be surprised. Before leaving the goddess in shock.

When Mars comes with a quest he is largely ignored. Octavian sasses him for being 6 months late to the battle.

The moment Mars points goes for his sword, everyone else draws there weapons at him. And Reyna coldly inquires after Jason and names several of Mar’s children that died during the battle.

How when they needed him he did nothing and yet now he wants a favour suddenly he’s calling for them.

Concluding that Camp Jupiter won’t comply with anything until Jason’s returned. Because they’ve sent search parties that keep being sent off course.

Mars says she can’t do that because her authority doesn’t succeed Olympus and Reyna says Olympus has no authority here.

Percy actually has a bit of a tough time gaining everyone’s trust because of him helping Juno. He’s under suspicion for being a spy as he’s allying with the Olympians.

Which…doesn’t make the reveal go very well. Especially with Jason’s stolen memories making him believe he should blindly serve the Olympians.

It’s the final straw for Camp Jupiter and all out war breaks out because clearly the Greeks are siding with the enemy.

Frank and Hazel are sceptical given they’ve seen the after effects of the battle while not being there to participate in it.

As well as their respective pasts with the Olympians. Hazel being cursed and left to die and Franks lifeline being a stick.

But because of their friendship with Percy they’re more open minded.

Jason however feels confused and betrayed. He knows the last several months we’re real, they had to be right? But he can’t brush off Reynas desperate plea as they were separated.

“Jason! Whatever they tell you don’t fall for it. You know the truth, deep down in your heart you know. You’re so much more than his son, remember that!”

It haunts him.

Makes its way into his dreams. At some point he stops hearing Reynas voice entirely. And one of an older woman, soothing and tired but still so powerful.

She promises him the truth.

To remove the barriers over his stolen self and give him the answers he wishes.

It’ll be his decision in the end. It’ll just give him the information to make a choice, as is his fatal flaw.

Night falls on a stormy night. His mothers ghost seems to haunt him from the corner of his mind. Jason closes his eyes and accepts the offer.

The good solider vanished long before he opened his eyes.

He remembered everything.

And he was done being a pawn.

Some Honor Bound Acknowledgements

Today I want to highlight the amazing jobs that lots of people did to get HONOR BOUND where it is. It wouldn't be anywhere near so polished without their hard work!

My editor Abigail C. Trevor pushes my games into shape from concept to release, from big-picture feedback to meticulous edits.

Abby has a particular knack for teasing out the potential of an idea and pushing it further. At the very early stages, the PC was assigned to Ozera because of an injury but not because of any particular other issues, and Elene's Prospect was not the PC's hometown (and therefore there was no prior connection with Denario)!

Abby also writes games! Her first game, Heroes of Myth, is about a con-artist called to really fix a magical crisis. Her latest, Stars Arisen, is a fantasy doorstopper about being the child of an immortal deposed tyrant queen who wants you to seize back control of the city-state. Highly recommended!

Kris Lorischild copyedited this 595K word monster. This would be a massive undertaking even without my tangles of code to deal with and Kris truly polished Honor Bound to make it shine.

It's a brilliant game, and I would say that even if I wasn't married to her! She also made ASTEROID RUN: NO QUESTIONS ASKED, a gorgeous and very underrated scifi thriller.

What if Ares was at Amazon Island when Heracles was doing his labors

Ares and Hippolyta are busy drinking and eating laughing at a story Ares is telling. "Waitwaitwait! It gets better! The sex slaves from Thrace bound together with the neglected women of Lemnos, waited until the men feel asleep and then slit all of their throats!" Ares roared to the applause of Hippolyta who laughed uproariously with Ares before he caught his breath enough to continue. "Oh ho ho...and that's how Lemnos became completely devoid of men." Another Amazon named Antiope came in and bowed in reverence to their patron deity and their queen. "Lord Ares, Lady Hippolyta we have guests." Hippolyta raised an eyebrow. "Ah if they're ladies trying to join us tell them trials aren't until next week but they're welcome to stay until then." Antiope then clarified. "No, it's a man, and a big one at that. He said he wants to talk to Hippolyta." Ares then raised an eyebrow. "Well if he's here for slaves, I imagine that you'll be prepared to use his head as a warning to all future invaders." Hippolyta then hit her fathers shoulder. "Come now father, surely we can at least see what he wants." she then turned to Antiope "We're on our way." A short walk to the beach where a man who looked like he could beat Kratos (OG) and Bia to death was waiting covered in a lion pelt that looked like it belonged to something spawned from Typhon and Echidna was waiting patiently and Ares recognized him and sense the blood of a God in him. "Heracles?" Ares inquired as Heracles bowed his knee to a God of Olympus. "Lord Ares, Lady Hippolyta, I'm honored to make you're acquaintance." Heracles stated. "The pleasure is...all ours...so you're Athena's newest pet hero?" Ares asked. "A...yes Lord Ares, I'm here for Lady Hippolyta's Garter." Heracles pleaded. Ares then raised an eyebrow. "My daughter's birthday gift?" Heracles then kept his head down. "Please...I...need it to atone for killing my family." Hippolyta put an arm on Ares's shoulder. "It's fine father, you can always make another." Ares sighed as she let Hippolyta hand her the garter before noticing a divine presence. Heracles then bowed gracefully. "Thank you very much Lady Hippolyta I am honored to..." "THERE HE IS! THE MAN WHO'S PLANNING ON KILLING OUR QUEEN AND OUR LORD!" Ares then sighed as he realized things were going to be difficult before he slammed the butt on his spear on the ground leaving a massive shockwave that commanded everyone to stop. "ENOUGH! While I'm not always a fan of my father's bastard children, no offense." "None taken..." There was some taken but he wasn't about to push it. "Our friend here is merely a guest who wishes to borrow our Queen's Garter, who told you all this." The Amazons pointed to a singular women who was leading them who grunted in frustration. "I'LL GET YOU YOU LITTLE BASTARD!" Hera screamed in frustration as she left back to Mt. Olympus making Ares sigh... "I wanna love my mom but not when she does shit like this..." Ares stated. "Actually...idly curious do you have anymore labors?" "There's the Mares of Diomedes of Thrace*, The Cattle of Gerydon, The Golden Apples of the Hesperides, and Capturing Cerberus." Heracles replied honestly. Ares sighed. "If Hera's going to continue to make you're life hell I'm afraid I can't welcome you back here until you resolve whatever you and Hera have going on because it puts my children at risk but the least I can do is help you with the mares since Diomedes is a son of mine, you're on your own after that because those Birds in Stymphalian were sacred to me." Heracles bowed his head. "Thank you Lord Ares and I'm deeply sorry for your birds." "Forgiven, just tell me who ordered you to do it when you're done with your labors" Ares replied as he let out a whistle that pierced the heavens as Phobos and Deimos pulled up with his flying carriage ready to leave. *Fun fact in the original myth the mares were actually before the belt of Hippolyta

Have not posted about mine and @queenjunothegreat’s next gen kids in way too long so: Pipeyna kiddie

-Her name is Emilia McLean. Her go-to nickname is Em. When she’s in trouble, Piper calls her Lea. Yes, she‘s named after Leo. He would not stop wailing when he was told about this.

-Em is Sofía’s best friend. She’s three years older than Sofía and they grow up considering each other sisters. (Good luck trying to tell Sofía they’re not sisters because they’re not related, she’s not related to her dads either and they’re still her dads, so checkmate)

-When they were small, Sofía followed Em around like a little duckling, insisting to play whatever Em was playing and do whatever Em was doing. There’s nothing these two wouldn’t do for each other. (Also yes I gave them matching earrings in different colors because they’re dorks and they would.)

-Em loves skirts and dresses and putting her hair up in fancy braids. Reyna’s got the braiding covered due to her time on Circe’s island, but when Em asked her moms to show her how to do her makeup, they were both sweating profusely because Piper hasn’t let anyone put makeup on her since she was twelve and Reyna’s just never really bothered with it? They spent like an hour trying to watch a makeup tutorial before giving up and admitting they need help. Hylla never lets Reyna live it down, but Emilia is thrilled because “the queen of the Amazons taught me how to do my makeup” is a pretty cool thing to brag about. (There was a discussion on whether or not to call Drew instead but in the end they settled on Hylla because they knew Hylla would be annoying but not as overly smug about it.)

-Drew absolutely takes Em clothes shopping sometimes because she’s decided Reyna and Piper are both useless. Piper lets it happen because it makes Em happy but is also fuming about it. Reyna is honestly just grateful to be getting out of clothes shopping lmao her closet is almost entirely made up of work outfits.

-Piper and Reyna have a rescue dog named Kitty (Em named her when she was three, in honor of that the name is spelled in all caps in all official documents) and Em loves that dog so much. It’s entirely mutual. Kitty is wildly protective of Em and will bite people if they so much as look at her weird.

-Leo is Em’s chaotic fun uncle and they get into so many shenanigans together. Jason is a significantly less chaotic uncle than his husband but somehow always ends up caught in the crossfire of their uncle-niece shenanigans.

-Leo being the chaotic fun uncle inevitably comes back to bite him when Em takes a page out of his book and starts getting into shenanigans with Sofía. Piper is absolutely cackling in the background.

Some more lore stuff under the cut since this is getting kind of long

-Em is actually the only next gen child named specifically after another demigod. This is both because Leo is close friends with her moms and because in a universe where names have power, choosing the name of the guy who beat the odds and quite literally rewrote fate—who defied death not once but twice so he could have his happy ending—is the greatest blessing Piper can think to give her daughter.

-Leo has thought of himself as a curse for a large chunk of his life. The concept of having his name used as a blessing is something he never fully recovers from.

-Speaking of names: Reyna’s bloodline and family legacy was meant to be intricately tied to New Rome’s survival. It ruined her life and took away almost her entire childhood. She happily laid her family name to rest and took Piper’s when they married. They mostly live in the mortal world and her ties with New Rome aren’t nearly as strong as they used to be when she was growing up, but there’s a part of her is terrified that this will come back to haunt her daughter one day. She never tells her daughter about Bellona’s prophecy. She won’t allow for her to grow up with the future of New Rome on her shoulders.

-Emilia is a natural leader. Aside from her general proficiency with various weapons, her main power is a sort of motivational charmspeak—not quite Piper’s ability to control others, and not quite Reyna’s ability to project her own emotions outward, but a milder combination of both that allows her to demand the attention of other demigods, instill confidence in those listening to her and rally her troops. Everyone knows she’d be a praetor at Camp Jupiter in no time, and it terrifies Reyna.

-But Em is a legacy of Aphrodite and Bellona both. She has a place at Camp Half-Blood as well as Camp Jupiter. And when the time comes for her to choose, she chooses Camp Half-Blood and goes back to live with her moms once the summer is over. Reyna nearly cries with relief.

-Maybe Leo’s name worked. Maybe the prophecy won’t be of any relevance until they’ve all long passed, many generations down the line. But Em strays from the path that seemed so set for her. She’s free, in a way Reyna never was.

Thoughts on Galadriel.

To be honest, I do not think the Noldor who lived in Beleriand and ME after the war liked Galadriel much. (I love Galadriel and loved what Cate Blanchett as her in the movies) But like thinking about the Noldor of Beleriand, excluding those who lived in Gondolin and Nargothrond before both kingdoms fell, Galadriel basically abandoned the Noldor the moment she set foot in Beleriand. She went to Menegroth and stayed there under the protection of Melian for the most part of the first age, all while the rest of the Noldor, her brothers included, were out in the frontlines of war.

Even during the long peace, most of the Noldor in Beleriand had to see orcs attacks and such, their homes were not 100% safe, they didn't have the luxury of being protected by a Maia. The Valar had more or less abandoned the people of Beleriand (not just the Noldor) to their fates. So while the people who lived in Barad Eithel, Dorthonion, Ladros, Himlad, who were basically the ones holding the siege, all those people who died during the fire. Who had to move further south. Those elves could see Fingon, Fingolfin, Angrod, Aegnor, and the Feanorians willing to protect their people and die for them. (and I bet Aredhel would have been there too if she hadn't been kidnapped by Eol but that's another thing). But like Galadriel once she stepped in Doriath she never left until she felt considerably threatened and when she did, she and Celeborn moved east beyond the blue mountains. She wasn't even there when the war of wrath really broke out. Like right now I don't really remember if she managed to see the host of valinor and when the war was done and she did come back to the coast... she was denied passage.

Galadriel couldn't go back to Valinor by the end of the first age because I remember reading that she was denied passage, because she was not humble. The Galadriel we see in LOtR is an older and wiser Galadriel that had perhaps realized that most of her actions in the first age were born of hypocrisy (Hipocrisy was a big theme in the first age but that's also another story).

So what I want to get at is, Galadriel was not named queen of the Noldor and was not included in Noldori Politics at all during the second age (looking at you Amazon), because I don't think the Noldor considered one of them anymore. I think that the moment she decided to marry a sinda and remain in menegroth with the rest of Thingol's people she was 'set aside' by the Noldor as a whole. So yeah, those are my thoughts regarding Galadriel, if anyone else wants to add anything else, I'll be more than happy to read your thoughts <3

Hey there lovelies! Happy start to the weekend! I truly hope you've had fun this week in some capacity. There's been something for everyone and hopefully we continue to see some hype coming up in the up coming weeks.

Today I wanted to remind you of something that I know you've heard before, but like anything in this life, repetition helps to solidify things so I'm gonna say some of it again. You don't need to prove to anyone your worth. You don't need to beg for anyone to love you and you certainly don't need to be someone you're not for someone else's sake. We all have demands from outside forces every day-- work, school, etc, and a lot of those demands are things we have to cope with in order to function in and be a part of society. Those demands aren't always in our best interest, but for the most part they're at least somewhat reasonable. However, there are going to be times that others have demands on you that are completely unreasonable. Maybe someone expects you to fall into a pretty little category. Maybe someone expects you to understand them when they aren't being clear. Maybe someone expects you to bend over backwards and change for their benefit, but not provide you with the same courtesy.

Whatever unreasonable demands you're dealing with, I just want to send you a reminder that you are allowed to say no. You are allowed to set up boundaries to help minimise that kind of behavior. You are allowed to just be you, and to continue to shine being you. Nothing is black and white, so it may not be easy, and may not be viable, or safe for some people-- I absolutely get that, and you should always keep your safety and security top of mind. But if you have the wiggle room, and you can set up those boundaries, remember there's nothing wrong with wanting to continue to be you, the way you are and defending that you.

You are wonderful lovelies, and we all have things in life we can improve on, but you being your beautiful, unique, authentic self is a right, and you have every right to protect the parts of you you hold dear. You don't have to prove to anyone that you are worthy of love just being yourself-- because you already ARE worthy of love, and light, and good things.

You don't have to fit into a neat little box to be loved, or valid. You are already both of those things, and sometimes it's hard to see it in ourselves-- so this reminder is from me to you, from the crew, to you, that you are wonderful just the way you are. Rest well and be kind to yourselves lovelies, you deserve it.

How I would Write Wonder Woman in my own DC Universe

This also includes the Greek gods, related characters, and a specific story idea.

Themyscira is a beautiful island, home to the Amazons and New Olympus (the new home of the Greek pantheon). The queen of Themyscira, Hippolyta, sculpted yet another Amazon to populate her Island. She named this one "Diana," and when Hera was to bring her to life, Zeus intervened. She came to life and grew strong—stronger than any other Amazon and faster, too. She was also curious and kind, she never bragged or rubbed winning games in anyone's face.

Her curiosity led to a want, a need, to see the world outside of the islands she had been to like Aeaea, an island nicknamed "Polyphema" (named after its blind ruler), the isle of the Lotus Eaters, and Ogigia. The gods did not allow amazons to leave the island because they were abandoned by the outside world, so they abandoned it.

As Diana prepares to leave the island, the Gods are sent to stop her. She reluctantly fights them but never kills them. This story ends with Diana defeating the gods and leaving to see the world of man, but not before being given a gift from Hera and Hephestos: a shiny, new suit of armor and an enchanted rope that can expand and compel those that it touches, to tell the truth. She takes them and leaves her sword and shield behind.

A few other things I'd like to cover:

The Wizard Shazam is Odysseus, brought back to life by Hades

Diana doesn't fight every Greek god

The Odyssey happened (kinda)

The amazons are considered daughters of Hera, but Diana is the only one who is regarded as a daughter to Zeus, niece to Poseidon, etc.

Diana has not been banned from Themyscira, but she is greatly disliked there

I just made a post mentioning how Rick Riordan made some evil amazons for his books, so here's an old idea of mine where I stole some of those ideas (but made them possibly darker). Presenting Superwoman of the Crime Syndicate, the Anti-Matter Universe version of Wonder Woman.

Superwoman (Bellona of Themyscira/Priscilla Rich): The amazons of the anti-matter universe were founded by women like circe and medea, powerful warriors and sorceresses who hated men and loved to torture them and drive them in fights to the death. Also, the amazons of the anti-matter earth have way more roman influence than greek. Hence their worship of the war gods mars and bellona. Bellona especially, since she's a female deity who wikipedia told me represented bloodlust.

The anti-matter island of themyscira is a horrible place to live, unless you're one of the amazonians. Because the amazons are fierce slavers. Years ago they led fierce incursions against man's world, kidnapping men to be their slaves. They then used those men as breeders and servants, forcibly having sex with them to produce more male slaves and/or female warriors.

It was into this world that princess Bellona was born, a child of the amazons queen, the evil enchantress known as Circe. She was named for her patron, the roman goddess of bloodlust and war. For years, Circe taught her daughter the ways of the warrior and of the magician, training her to be the perfect princess for this kingdom based on misandry and violence.

Bellona probably would have stayed on themyscira and continued on as her mother's pride and joy, but then a US aircraft crashed onto themyscira. Inside it lay pilot steve trevor, a US soldier brought down in the fight against Ultraman. When Bellona looked at him, she felt no love. But hearing about a world of men beyond themyscira…that intrigued bellona. So she begged her mother to let her go out and enslave man's world. Her mother agreed, after bellona proved herself in combat against all the other amazons.

So while steve trevor was left on themyscira to become one of the kingdom's many slaves, bellona headed for man's world. Landing in New York City, Bellona killed and promptly stole the identity of the rich socialite Priscilla Rich. And using this assumed name, bellona began writing propaganda to encourage the women of america to enslave their husbands and train themselves as warriors. She used Priscilla Rich's vast resources to monopolize certain sectors of the global economy.

Building an army of millions of bloodthirsty women (and having a stranglehold on world monetary policies), bellona became known as Superwoman to the people of man's world. Recognizing her talents as a propagandist and warrior (and seeing as she's one of the world's most preeminent terrorists), Ultraman formally invites her to join the Crime Syndicate and take over the globe with him. Bellona haughtily accepts, but makes clear her contempt for him and his masculine ways (bellona hates every single member of the team. Alongside the Aresian Barbarian, she's one of the most power hungry and cruel. She regularly dreams of killing Ultraman and taking his position as leader for herself).

I know I'll probably get flack for this, but I'm a little frustrated by how when a media company that is extremely socially progressive isn't 100% perfect in every area at all times some people start yelling for boycotts.

You can choose to spend your money however you like, and if you don't enjoy what they make that's fine. You don't need to support it.

But it feels reminiscent of other ways that the left seems to eat itself. Like people refusing to vote because 1 candidate is evil, but the other lets you down in some areas.

And I feel like a lot of the folks that call out to boycott things like Dropout, WTNV, and other media companies that are trying to be diverse and progressive are sometimes (not always) virtue signaling. A lot of those folks are watching stuff made by much less ethically made and diverse groups.

There aren't a ton of options for great media made by and starring queer folks and folks of color that aren't owned by a terrible monopoly like disney or amazon. Yet it seems like no matter what progressive media I watch someone calls for a boycott of it because of 1 or 2 issues that all of more widespread media platforms have.

I can understand that some folks want there to be more representation of some diverse populations, or more thorough research of a guest's positions on Palestine. However, I would love to know about shows/platforms that have lived up to the rigorous standards of everyone I have heard calling to boycott Dropout.

Because I don't actually know about a more progressive large media platform personally. Maybe that's my ignorance, but this is the best I know of.

Please don't dogpile on me, I recognize that people have these concerns for a reason. However, it feels like Dropout was placed on a pedestal by people, and at any misstep there is a lot of extra rage.

Also, I am hoping that no one is harassing Aabria Iyengar about any of this. It feels very bad faith to bother a queer black woman about not having enough representation at a table that has 5 people total (including her) and only 1 of them is white and 1 person is bi and nonbinary. Plus the first season was 4 eps or something, and Aabria compressing big stories.

Also, I really don't get how some of the Dungeons and Drag Queens cast aren't viewed as transfemme even tho Bob the Drag Queen is non binary and uses she/her and he/him pronouns. Monét X Change is also nonbinary and uses she/her & he/him. They both use she/her when not in drag. Alaska may also be nonbinary, but I'm not sure. Drag isn't just done by cis gay men, people.

At least people recognize Persephone Valentine as a trans woman on Dropout, but it is frustrating that people ignore that some of the queens are nonbinary and femme.

It feels a bit like when some people claim that bi folks aren't queer enough. Like nonbinary and femme is not as significant as being a trans woman to them so it doesn't count. Meanwhile gender identity is complex, and your gender & understanding of it can shift over time and they are all valid.

Not to mention there are other cast members like Mano Agapion that are nonbinary. Omar Najam also uses any pronouns.

Once again if someone can name a media platform that is more diverse and ethical than Dropout and has great quality productions and an amazing cast, let me know. I do not know of any media companies that meet a standard of perfection.

I am certainly not going to give up on one of the few platforms making a legitimate effort.

I watched the new Invincible episodes, so now that I'm all caught up with the show, here are some thoughts (spoilers from the last episodes but really it's about the show at large. Bitching and Negativity Be Upon Ye xD).

My favourite characters are, in order, Debbie (queen), Nolan (he sucks sooooo bad), and as of now, Cecil. Debbie has barely had anything interesting to do so far, and Nolan had ONE measley mid-credits scene. I can't wait for him to return to earth to stir up drama, tbh. I need a Deblan reunion like I need air.

Cecil was the only one really giving me something but he DELIVERS. This is why he suddenly raised so high. I did like his deal but in my bingewatch I was all about The Deblan Drama lol. These episodes really showcased him though. The flashbacks!! The prison!! The implant!!

If I went to pick my next faves it'd be ALLEN THE ALIEN (I just think he's a neat guy!), and Rudy (I love a weirdo with zero social skills that treats relationships like math problems).

This show's politics suck so bad man. If I hadn't fallen so hard for Debbie and Deblan I would drop it just for how much its commitment to centrism annoys me (every scene of Doc Seismic or whatever he's called is painful to watch). Also the way it writes women other than Debbie or brown characters in general is just. So bad.

Like. If I were to compare it to the OTHER ultraviolent superhero Amazon show based on an comic book where some random edgelord thought he needed to answer the question "hey, what if Superman BUT EVOL" for the 800th time... Again, outside s1-s2 Debbie (I'm withholding my feelings on S3 until it's done), THE BOYS had this show beat, for what I remember...

Speaking of, I'm sure there's been comparisons already but Nolan and Homelander are very different responses to that question and it's interesting to watch (this might get me to finish S3 of The Boys and catch up with S4 for a more in-depth analysis). I will say that Homelander was on another level, though. Without Deblan, Nolan would be nothing to me lol. BUT. Homelander doesn't have a Deblan to soften me up to him even a little bit xD

I know it goes with the name but I hate that out if all the original Guardians, the Immortal is the only one that survived. They were ALL so much more interesting than him... And despite only having them for a brief moment in that first episode, the show managed to endear me to them.

Eve/Mark is such a nothingburger of a ship sns. I wish I liked them given that they're the Designated Endgame for the lead guy and all that but I can't help but feel that there's zero effort put into it, and it's all shoddily built on having Amber as the Discarded Black Love Interest in a frankly appalling way. I'd rather they cut her all together than having her return solely to tell Eve how cool she is with her dating Mark now!! This girl she used to go for relationship advice and venting is now dating her ex and hey, she always knew he pinned after her the whole time they were together, and Amber's SO fine and mature about this!! Dating some random guy even!! Cmon.

I might not care for her as a love interest but I definitely enjoyed Eve's origins episode. That was some hardcore shit.

I'm wonder how things will develop with Oliver (though idc for how Debbie's written with him) because. Yikes what the fuck is wrong with that kid, lol. That brief interaction with Cecil makes me want to see more of the two of them, but tbh at this point I'm very iffy about what they're doing with him.

lakdkdjdhf this turned more negative than I intended but I swear that the parts I like, I like a lot xDD. Unfortunately the parts I really really like are Debbie and Debbie/Nolan and there was very little about them 😔

(though I See that moment where Debbie impulsively shares all the family secrets with her new boyfriend because she doesn't want to lie in a relationship the way Nolan did. Many ways to go with this in my head, even if the show won't).

Sasha is a spider monkey with a athletic like build and grey skin with blackish grey fur with light grey spots and has purple hair with light purple streaks on the front to the back of her hair. Inn season 1 + 2, her outfit contains a traditional kung fu outfit light purple shirt and black pants. She also wears causal outfit that contain a black-grey shirtless tank top underneath a blue long-sleeve jacket with a hood and with light blue wrist band on her wrist.

In season 3, Sasha wears, she wears a sleeveless tank top with dark-brown tights with cream belt, wears elbow length gloves with black closed-toed sandals and the wave patterned bandanna she received from her adoptive mother.

Personality

Sasha had a warm, compassionate, and caring personality and often acted as a motherly figure to the group, even acts like aunt figure towards irritated Red Son. She displayed deep affection for those she traveled with and was fiercely protective whenever their safety was threatened. Her inner strength kept MK and their friends together through their most difficult experiences.

When she was young, she was curious and was quite adventurous loving monkey to look around and explore and was closed to her brothers and her adopted parents. Sasha developed fear of water after witnessed her older brother death during the flood, evening refused to go into the ocean. Sasha would bottled her feelings for the sake of others.

Sasha was originally a red Panda but was scrapped into a spider monkey.

Her name means "Protector/Defender of World".

Sasha's backstory was originally was that, Sasha was born form a water stone and the Lady Bone Demon essence was transported into her stone, which make her a descended of her and a vessel instead before Jiang was the replacement included.
