I had the most wonderful day for my birthday today. Started with a lovely breakfast with fresh oven rolls made by my wife, then a 90 minute massage - a true delight; I dozed off several times and yowled several times more! 😅

Then I had a lovely relaxing day writing and doing nothing much but hang out, and then my wife and I went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner, which had dim sum (only the second time in my life!) and Peking duck (first time ever!) and it was so good and so much and they got us chilled watermelon as dessert on the house! 🍉

And then we slowly ambled home, and witnessed a few lovely interactions of lovely people here in this city that I love so much /\/\

And to top it all off, now that we're home safe and dry, THUNDERSTORM AND RAIN ⛈️ It sounds and smells so so good 🥰🥰

It really was a wonderful day.

today was long, delicious, and good.

wine tasting with my parents (rhône region wines)

bookstore & a cafe after bc we needed the caffeine. also I got a carrot cake bc it’s autumn damnit

we went to a wine bar to kill some more time before a dinner reservation

restaurant, was hella cozy and nice (I ordered fried zucchini flowers with burrata, tomato tarte tatin, mushroom & truffle gnocchi, and a chocolate mousse. yum)

got home and made a sad oliveless martini (the olives I have are questionable to say the least)
