in canon, i pretty much already explained most his story. he met ui by begging for work, and ui obliges

at ep 1, ben was in his early 20s. at that time, ui was much more cold and unforgiving to his own citizens, and so was harsh to ben (akin to auditor treating his employees except he just barks at them instead of hurting xD)

ben is less willing to show himself unless ui asked (never) due to fear. so he stays at the bunker (not the spoiler, smaller one where his office is similar to madcom version), and is more cautious how he presents himself

his task was to keep watch the security cameras, and spot the thumpers for anomalies. ui pays by small generator parts, which are pretty good for trading, and food + water. ben can kinda ask for anything else for trade and ui can morph it with his ability, such as guns.

ben has habits of not doing his job, and thumpers usually have an underheated core problem. it must be maintained so there'll be a lower chance of it activating. thumpers in contidel are technically already given the order to activate, but was countered by keeping them overheated, making it think it's still in porlivium

ben is tasked to send warning alarms to what's responsible for maintaining the thumper- a giant building which is a similar robot to the guardian, built next to the thumpers. it's right next to it here (these are super old phone drawings xd)

these support bots detect the heat automatically, but prone to needing repairs (a lot like ui's revival tube for shi). so ben is to watch the overall conditions

unbeknownst to ben, ui is doing his own job for him behind his back lol. normally underheated thumpers very rarely activated nowadays, from millions of years inactive so the order for activation is a bit lost. but it's still possible to reactivate, ui isn't taking much chances with it but is willing to be less strict from how rarely it occurs

later on, when ui starts to turn more empathetic and talks to him casually. ben quickly warms up to him and shows his more goofy and formal ("""formal""") side. a job is a job, gotta be classy while hustling

ui allows ben to do anything as long as he does his job. outside, he always makes sure to keep his little brothers fed and tries his best to teach them how to survive like him.

not the best advices ngl but he's trying, thankfully his family is already quite capable in taking care of themselves, as contids do, though they may not look contid. he's quite content with what he has, his brothers once grown up travel quite a lot, but ben always stays at ui's. mostly too lazy to get out

for madcom it's a little different

ben started out as a normal nowhere resident before improbability made him lost in the void sauce which also made him a vegetable

and when a new place other than nevada is created, he's reanimated, and meets this certain employer named conductor (polaroid). at the time no local knew what happened or who he is

he doesnt interact much but he soon employs them to construct new buildings and begin transport of nevadean materials they never seen before, with a strange way to pass from the nowhere to nevada. this made living in nowhere a clusterfuck as improbability disasters disapprove of this new country's creation

ben, whom forgotten who he was before the improbability, then begged for work as well. due to the improbability drive, everyone is just discovering the different effects of the nowhere's version of it compared to nevada's and trying to get by. conductor by then already had aahw bases set up, and promises him an important job

he ends up making ben one of the first original clone manufactures, with an experiment to connect all of the ben clones into one mind. this was to remove the difficulty of hiring and making grunts skip the process of agent to atp, as the agent roles will all be fulfilled by ben. they will all go straight to atp training

so at this point, it's become fact that every agent in the nowhere is ben XD

ben himself felt a little betrayed at first but soon took a liking to his new hivemind likeness. though dealing with conductor was like grazing a fork on an empty plate from all the "brainstorming" conductor discusses with him to annoy his colleagues

ben assumes all employers are like this and starts procrastinating doing his job properly, to spite conductor

but before he'll realise ben's slower workforce, conductor suddenly disappeared for a long time and never heard from him since. everyone was at a standstill, doing their job as usual but not progressing anything. which, in the meantime, he passes the time by befriending everyone as much as he can

then one day another new employer was sent in one of the aahw bases, but only meant to be staying there as a guest, who then kinda disobeyed that and started training the soldats in that specific building

he starts to be a bit disgruntled to employers in general. ben hears another employer checks the other up once in awhile but never stays long so he doesnt see who that is. then both disappeared as well for awhile. and then ANOTHER employer arrives with a tiny grunt who apparently can't go back to nevada anymore, decides to commit genocide and then take over the whole place

this employer then allows you to be his employee and then makes the country work a little better than what it was before, then giant building things appear out of nowhere destroyed like half the city. this employer then, afterwards, became humbled apparently and starts to be a nicer overall person. what a time to live in ben's perspective 🤣🤣🤣

rainworld au is the least developed but more open to future stories and ideas, so I'd rather keep it unspoken for now x3

Right so, I think in order to catch Birb Momma´s attention, it is crucial to understand that one must be-

...different.

Miranda is used to people worshipping her and doing her every bidding. She's used to a room falling silent as soon as she enters. She's a woman who always gets what she wants.

...So, do the exact opposite and hope you make it out alive. 🤭

I think, with Miranda, there's a fine line you gotta walk in order for her to find you interesting enough to wanna keep around, but not too interesting for her to wanna experiment on you. It has to be a different kind of fascination, one that goes beyond being a vessel.

You have to be rebellious, but you gotta take care not to seem too disrespectful doing it.

Basically, there´s two ways to get Birb Momma´s attention:

Option 1: be stupid brave

The 1st option is more confrontational, where you openly express doubt or denial about Mother Miranda and her "religion". However, it can´t be something that happens out of the blue because that would seem too disrespectful. Yknow, something like interrupting her mid-speech while she´s giving one of her sermons in the church just because you don´t agree with what she´s saying. (Might as well get munched by a lycan. That´d probs be the less painful way to go, lol.)

In other words: there has to be a reason for speaking up. The most likely scenario would probs be a villager failing to meet some (ridiculous) demand or doing something else to draw Miranda´s ire (which isn´t exactly difficult, given Miri´s rather short fuse, lol).

Naturally, you find it quite unfair. So, naturally, you speak up about it.

You: "Hey!"

MM: *slowly turns around to face you, hand still gripping some poor villager´s throat rather tightly indeed*

You: *glaring at her*

MM: *stares back*

...

MM: *lips curl upwards ever so slightly behind her mask*

You, gradually realizing the gravity of the situation: *...gulps*

It was really more of an instinctive reaction on your part - all that bravery left before it had time to truly settle. 🤷🏻‍♀️

As for Miranda-

It´s the eyes that did it for her, not the act of defiance itself. (She couldn´t care less about what you´re saying.) Miranda is a passionate woman - she dedicates her entire being to a project. Her eyes burn with a ferocity that seems just short of setting everything around her ablaze.

If she sees that same passion reflected back at her (for whatever reason), then you got her attention.

Option 2: be careless

This one´s all about being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Basically, you said or did something that roused Miranda´s interest without even meaning to, as it was meant for private ears and eyes only. Let´s say you and Elena get together for your weekly trip to the market. You browse the stands, marveling at some of the goods and exchanging advice on what to best spend your lei on, when-

Some merchant: "Hey! You have to pay for that!"

You & Elena: *turn to see what all the fuss is about*

Old Hag: "Oh, dear boy, would you really rob food from an old woman trying to care for her little ones?"

Old Hag: *spares them a glance before breaking into mad cackling yet again, her staff making a chiming sound as she jiggles it*

Old Hag: *stops her cackling to look at you with surprisingly piercing eyes*

Old Hag: "Oh...I must thank you for coming to my aid, dear child. Not many here would have done so."

A looming presence... (A piece of fan art for Episode 11 of the Christmas Comeback Crisis)

So here it is. Finally. Only one month too late: This piece of CCC fan art I've worked on since the episode came out.

Sorry for the delay, but I just started at my new job this week and it's been a little stressful, so I didn't have much time to work on this. But now it's finally here!!! I gotta say, the hardest part by far was the background, lol. I didn't mean for it to escalate that much. At the end I was honestly running out of memes to draw.

I bet we can all agree that episode 11 of the Christmas Comeback Crisis was so worth the wait, right???? My god. Peak entertainment. I still can't believe I'm getting all this awesome lore and music for free, feels kinda criminal.

I'm so invested in this story, it's unreal. I can't wait to see how it will end. I can already tell it's gonna be pretty emotional. (And not to alarm anyone, but I have a slight feeling that the Voice is not gonna make it out of this story arc alive. I mean, after everything he's done, it's safe to say that he kinda deserves it. Of course I really don't want him to die, cause that would mean…….. Woodman would also have to die??? Otherwise the Voice will just keep coming back again and again because Woodman is keeping his memory alive…….. Oh man wait a moment….. I don't even want to think about that. Forget I said anything about this.)

Anyway, let's talk about this piece of art for a moment.

In the foreground, we have our brave protagonists. I really really like how Nozomi turned out, so I decided to make her my new icon from now on. Don't get me wrong, I love my old icon, but it's kinda zoomed out and you can't really make out any details when it's really small. So Nozomi it is. Meta Knights sword was shockingly difficult to draw, especially because I had to figure out how to draw it when he's holding it at an angle like that. Otherwise, drawing him was actually one of the easiest things about this whole thing. His design is really just two circles with some arms and armor. Figuring out how the circle tool in Gimp works has never felt this good. (Kinda crazy I can just draw him like this now, considering how obsessed with him I was when I was about 12-13 years old. Back then you had to download official renders of your favorite characters onto your computer, then print them out and hang them on your walls all around your room. Yeah I've always been like this.) Drawing Santa was really fun too, just his right hand was a little difficult. But that's just because I still can't draw hands in general. Maybe I should practice drawing hands more. (Naaaaaah I'm just kidding, I'll never do that.) Now that I'm looking at him again, he's also longingly staring at President Haltmann in the background. Doomed yaoi fr.

Speaking of the background, let's talk about that next. There's obviously the title-giving "looming presence" the Voice. I had his hands completely in the background at first, but I thought it looked cooler when they were hanging threateningly around Santa's shoulders. (You may ask yourself, 'man these hands look kinda alright for my usual hand drawing standards', and that is because I traced over pictures of my own hands. I love "cheating" at art.) I also gave him his stupid little bow tie and the colored buttons on his suit sleeves. Not only is that kinda my trademark for drawing him at this point, it's also supposed to show, that under all the threats and the evil villain persona, he's just kind of a loser. A real (male equivalent of a) girlfailure. That's why I made sure that half of the things shown in the background are there to make fun of him a little. I love the Voice dearly, but that's just what felt right.

And now let's get to the actual main course of this essay. I probably spent half the time working on this on the freaking background. I'm just gonna start in the top left corner and then go down each column and explain what each of these mean or what they reference. (Since there are some quite obscure ones in there.)

Let's start with the two ponies in the very top left. They're actually ponysonas of Nozomi Tojo (left) and Takane Shijou (right). Nozomi is an earth pony and has a tarot card as her cutie mark, specifically the ace of cups. Takane on the other hand is a unicorn and has some musical notes as her cutie mark, which you can't really see. I don't know enough about the Idolmaster to think of something more meaningful for her, sorry. ;)

Under that are Susie Haltmann and her father, President Haltmann. They were (after Woodman) the first characters I wanted to draw into the background. Susie has this black bar covering her face, since she was never really there to begin with. The whole story line with her father wanting to bring her back was actually so freaking sad. And when the Voice killed him in episode 11 and that image of Susie flashed on screen as the last thing he saw before he died….. Oof……… That's also why I drew that cursor looming next to her "window" about to click on the closing button. Haltmann himself is also the only character in the background to actually leave his little window, wanting to reach his daughter. He's also glaring at the Voice for causing him all of this grief and anger in the first place with his false promises.

Then there's…. ahem, "Hot robots in your area". With drawings of a random unnamed robot and Mettaton from Undertale. Which the Voice has apparently bookmarked. This is just a head canon, but I like to think he has a thing for robots, lol. ;)

Oh and on the left next to that on the very first column is Simpleflips' logo. Shoutouts to Simpleflips indeed.

Onto the next column. At the very top is Haruka Amami (also from the Idolmaster), who played a pretty huge role in the CCC, especially in the latest episode. That moment at the very end where she saved Grand Dad from certain death was just fantastic. Absolutely goated scene. She's kinda pressing her face against the window she's trapped in. I hope you can even see that from far away, haha.

Under that is one of the more obscure references. It's from a King for Another Day video, specifically one titled "The Hobart Hootenanny - SiIvaGunner: King for Another Day". It's a slideshow made of beautiful Hobart pictures. One that struck me personally the most was a little family picture of Hobart and the rapper Eminem, who was also a contestant in the KfAD tournament, looking lovingly over their son sitting in a cradle. Eminem is seen saying "Our son is beutiful". A truly touching photograph indeed. In that same slideshow is also another scene of Hobart together with the Voice, but we'll talk about that one later.

The next one is a reference to the CCC side story "I wanna thank me" and shows a pie chart with the election results that were discussed in that episode. Under the pie chart itself is a little box containing all the different parties and showing their respective percentages. On the left is a poster for the "Poké Poké Literature Party", showing Monika's head with the words "Just vote Monika" at the top of the poster. The words (and Misha.) are scribbled on the bottom, lest we forget that she's not running this party alone. This side story was first featured in the Christmas Comeback Crisis Watchalong in 2020, which was actually the first time I watched the CCC in its entirety. It all went downhill from there. ;)

Then there's the Voice's… thing? Object? Weird apparatus where no one really knows what it does or what its purpose is? Every time we see the Voice sitting in his office, this thing is sitting on his desk right next to him. There's been loads of jokes about its purpose. They've all been made before. I'm not going to repeat them. Only the Voice himself truly knows what this thing does. Probably. Could just be a decorative piece of art.

Then we have something veeeery self indulgent on the next column. It's Aquaman from Megaman 8 (With a not so subtle skull right next to him). You should all know by now that I'm the founding father of the Aquawood ship. And I also have the head canon that Woodman and the Voice are very divorced. Interpret into this whatever you want.

Next to Aquaman is the internets' favorite panel from the web comic Tails Gets Trolled. I fucking love that comic. If you haven't read it in its entirety, I highly recommend doing it. (Though be warned that it contains some pretty heavy topics, many many slurs and a plethora of gore.) Okay, maybe I don't recommend reading it. (Just read it with all of that in mind.)

Under that is a personal favorite joke of mine. It's supposed to be Spotify, with a playlist open that I created some time ago. I called it "Die Pizza Playlist" (Remember that die in German is just "the") which I always listen to when I'm baking my own pizza. Highlights include "Pizza" by Antilopen Gang, "Pizza Heroes" by Lemon Demon (You can actually see the album art for Spirit Phone on the left of the playlist.), "Pizza Pizza Pizza" from the Ratatouille musical and so on and so on. The first song in the playlist is obviously "We like pizza" by the Pizza kids, which is even playing in the image. On the side are two more music artists, at the bottom is the image for the Veggie Tales soundtrack, which also featured a song called "Pizza Angel". And over that is Mitski. I just feel like the Voice would listen to her music. Do not question me on this.

The audience laughs at the funny 7.

On the Voice's left shoulder sits a single green bean. It's flashing you a cheeky grin and a peace sign. While I didn't intend for this to happen, I accidentally referenced my own Woodman birthday gallery art from two years ago, where the bean also sits atop the Voice's shoulder. I know that next to "Yankin'", the bean is one of the most hated memes on SiIva, but I think he's just a silly little guy! :D

Let's head on over to the next column. Seems like the Voice has an incoming call from one of his guards, but he's ignoring it as he has more important things to do, like hovering intimidatingly over Santa Claus.

Next to that window on the right are the Voice's messages. I almost wrote "messanges". That would have been embarrassing, thank god I caught that in time. This is also (yet again) a little self indulgent, since the Voice apparently has the last message he sent Woodman pinned to the very top of his messenger app. His big triangular head is blocking most of it, but since I'm the artist, I can tell you exactly what it says: "Please call me back", which was sent on February 1st 2023, the day "The Disappearance of Woodman" was released. Yeah, I'm still very upset, how could you tell? :( Under that is a message to his trusty pizza guy asking for a pizza with extra cheese.

Next we have two of my favorite memes on the SiIvagunner channel (My absolute favorite being "Funny budots", since I never wrote that down anywhere.), one being Frisk Undertale becoming uncanny and the other one being the goat. I don't really know how to describe the goat, but apparently it was crafted by the same artist who made the stoned fox that's also very popular online?? I may just be stupid, but I didn't know about that until I looked up a reference for the goat. Since it often appears alongside Undertale and Deltarune, many have made the assumption that this is what Asriel would look like in real life. That's why Flowey is there next to it with an equal sign. Whoever drew up that calculation wasn't really sure of their work, which is why they drew a question mark right next to it. The next window contains my favorite joke of any rip on the entire SiIvaGunner Youtube Channel. "Peepoona 5. Let us shart the pants." Just typing this out is making me die of laughter yet again. (The rip in question is "Our Beginning - Persona 5".) But as you all know, I am very into toilet humor. That's why Aquaman is one of my favorite robot masters. And why I'm such a big fan of Youtube Poop. And why I watch Minion fart gun religiously. But enough of that, you get what I'm trying to say. I love funny poop jokes. That's why this is here.

Oh man. This next one is why I wanted to write this very detailed essay in the first place. A reference so obscure, even I can't find its origin anymore. And believe me, I tried. Thankfully, I took a screenshot of the original comment thread this was based on. A user called "The New Guy" commented on a SiIvaGunner rip, something along the lines about how much they enjoyed this specific rip. At the time, the comment had 920 likes, so I'm guessing it must have been a pretty popular video. (The comment should also be about 4 years old now?) Anyway, under that comment, someone asks them what their profile picture was from. They simply answered "wagon", since that was exactly what their profile picture showed. Someone on the SiIvaGunner team must have found this exchange so funny that they commented "wagon" as well. And that's the origin of this joke. If anyone knows which rip this is from pleeeeaaaase tell me. I need to know.

I don't think I need to explain who the next guy is. Just the love of my life. I specifically drew Woodman in his getup from the Nuclear Winter Festival, since that was the last time he appeared on the channel. He's looking kinda concerned in the general direction of the viewer, for obvious reasons. And right under him is his trademarked >:] emoji.

And last but certainly not least, the final column! Now I finally get to talk about this other scene from the Hobart Hootenanny. It shows Hobart and the Voice having a romantic stroll at a beautiful beach, while the sun is slowly setting in the background, making the water shimmer with its breathtaking colors. Okay, the last thing didn't really happen, since it's a shitty MS Paint drawing, but I like to imagine it did. Maybe I should draw a remake of this image one day. Now I'd like to quote the video in question: "A man and Hobart were walking together on the beach. He looked back and saw that in his times of sadness and need, there was only one set of footprints. The next image is actually quite easy to explain. It's mm5charge and smol Maki. In another universe, Chargeman and Maki might have been integral to the SiIvaGunner lore. This specific image is just stolen from my piece of fan art called "Megaman 5 Brainrot (featuring Acidman)", which I posted in 2022. I still head canon that Megaman and Love Live take place in the same universe. Just because I think it's funny. And because I want to see funny robot masters interact with the girlies from Love Live. How do I explain this? It's like…. balancing out the world? The robot masters are almost all male (with a few exceptions) and the characters shown in Love Live are all female. How would Thanos say? "Perfectly balanced, as all things should be." Don't question my cool head canons, okay?

After that we have a poster featuring the Jazz Cats! I really really love the little animations that showed their backstory when KfAD2 first came out. I don't know if it's okay for me to say this, but I also really really enjoy the song "But Not You" written (in universe) by Doge and Naxx. The text is veeeeeeery questionable, but man, does it sound good regardless… And shoutouts to wolfman1405 for the heavenly vocals.

On the right of that is a missing poster for Wade L.D.. Nothing much to explain here I guess.

Left of that is the Voices shopping list, which lists flour, oil, yeast… Wait a minute…. All of these are ingredients for pizza dough! Guys, I'm beginning to think that this guy might like pizza.

On the very bottom of this column is Mario 7 Grand Dad himself, who has his hostile gaze directed at the Voice. I would be pissed off too if someone kept me locked in a glass tube for 7 years.

oh im SO GLAD I get to talk about this THANK YOU SM cos its been on my mind for days!! I will use this chance to actually drop the dante fic cinematic universe timeline, which is: easing tensions - arachnophilia - a fortunate mistake - a fortunate mistake II There's certain things I gotta keep vague because I know how arachnophilia ends (and how it might tie into AFM II) and I don't want to spoil, but I'll talk about a bit because I'm rabid rn.

I wanna add for the sake of my lore on multiverse stuff, Miguel's who are turned into Spider-men are quite rare? I think this gets mentioned in AFM but Miguel's in general are rare, Spider Miguel's even more so. I took him saying Gabi's universe was the one where he was happy to heart, along with the fact we see zero variants of him in the society. That shit was always the most interesting thing to flesh out. I also don't know if I've ever talked about nena's multiverse story properly either, but its pretty tragic. She largely only exists in universes where Miguels' exist, and in all the ones where she comes into contact with him she dies. Our Miguel's universe is the only one where she doesn't, and Miguel blames this inititally on his canon but, as we know, canon isn't real, in reality it's because our Miguel was the only one with multi-verse experiences that humbled his apathy and violent tendencies. It's sort of like how meeting Miles put Peter B. on a better course, Peter's influence on Miguel is something no other Miguel had and it changed him in a way that made him capable of growing. Vig is the only other one we've met and it's obviously implied he was a poor partner who became a good dad after nena's death. Nena is like, universal collatoral damage, and it's only in the universe where she wasn't 'meant' to love him that she got to be loved. It's fucked up and she deserved better fr.

BUT I will say, to actually answer the question (sorry lol) the reader in arachnophilia is actually not a variant of the reader from AFM. I am sticking with the rule that AFM reader is never a spider, because its important later hehe.

BUT! But this makes Spider!Mig and readers relationship equally interesting to me anyway. I am a sucker for starcrossed lovers, excellent trope, and while it was meant to be a one-off I wanna use it to explore the idea of fully abandoning ones canon and exploring a relationship beyond the bounds of ones universe. I will be going more into Spider!Migs backstory for this, but I think the films never properly addressed the potential dangers/tragedy of love between people from different universes. I used it a bit with OG Miguel with my explanation for what happened with Gabi, E.g him trying to combine their universes, but this is especially spicy. So, again, actual question (I'm so sorry I swear this is all I think about, rip my PhD) as of AFM II reader also doesn't know about Miguel's variants beyond Vig, YET. Miguel is aware of Spider!Mig and reader as of AFM, and if you go back you can see a lot of his mindset in there, especially when he talks about not wanting kids because of his genetic mess and feeling like he's too dangerous.

Miguel as a character is great, I can't say that enough, he's harboring so much self loathing and unaddressed trauma that while he wants to do the right thing he imposes very strict rules that always end in hypocricy. In the same way I think he's awful to Miles because he see's Miles making the same mistake he did (e.g destroying the universe for a loved one) and a lot of his violence is like, imposed, he's awful to his variants because he knows he's fucked up his own moral compass and takes it out on them.

But yes Miguel knows where they are, he has not told reader though, but I do want to have them cross paths.

After a lot more crying, Block 6 and a few people from other teams were hanging out. Since tells Kaogaii that she might consider leaving to Block 3 (or other blocks) in the future. So Kaogaii immediately goes into damage control mode and basically begs her to stay.

In the morning, Since and Chaboom are still talking about recruiting her.

They said "At this point, he's (Chaboom) not even trying to be polite" while recruiting Since. It's funny because if the shoe was on the other foot, I don't think Kaogaii would give a shit about being polite either based on what he's shown so far LOL

"I'm sure they're trying to sweet talk you" Yes, Kaogaii. You know because you're doing the same haha

Since goes to Block 3. It's looking really likely that Block 3 will win in the end now.

Tobii drank a lot the day before. Khan plays a prank and says tobii will take over as the new leader. Tobii just stares at him like "Bitch, are you serious?!?!" It's like he saw a ghost lol

Haon wants to be leader again because Block 1 and 2 are led by new generation rappers so he wants Block 3 to do the same. Block 3 switches back to Haon as leader.

Block 4 goes the opposite direction and replaces Sky Minhyuk with Boi B due to him being more experienced.

Block 5 says they're willing to stay together but it looks bleak. Block 6 decides to try and recruit Osun to take the money but then Gwangil convinces them to try for Hash Swan instead. They want to take the block money since it will be important from now on. Idk how that will work. Why would the other 2 Block members agree to just letting ONE of them take all the money and run? Doesn't seem favorable for them.

Osun and JP can go to Block 2 since there is space there. Hash Swan says the only thing they can offer Block 2 is the money. Osun and JP would be great acquisitions to that team. They are young and both really good. However, it seems like Block 2 is more interested in the money.

They only seem to want Osun...and by extension, the money.

Kaogaii is like "Khan's not that smart." Mckdaddy is like "You're not smart either."...Alright Kaogaii, you gotta take him to the beef zone because...what?!😆

So it turns out that the beef challenge is actually gonna be used by Block 2 and 6 as a way to split the money...that last joke about going to the beef zone was COMPLETELY incidental. I swear I write these posts in real time while watching the episode. 😲

Anyway, block 6 will start the beef. Block 2 is supposed to reject the beef. This means they will have to pay block 6 money. The split here is 20K to Blcok 2 and 10K to Block 6. Tobii required that Block 2 gets the money first. That's smart of him.

So Hash Swan goes to 6 and JP/Osun go to 2 with the money.

O'domar starts the challenge to Nosun.

Kohway challenges Khan. Why is he serenading him? He just sang a song lol

Meanwhile, Haon is panicking a bit. If this deal works out, block 3 will have the least Block money

Haon decides to strike a deal with Block 2 to give Block 3 one of the beef challenge slots so they can face Block 6 for the money (~$5000). I'd trust Haon, or really anybody in Block 2, before I'd trust Kaogaii (at least for rap:public purposes).

On the other hand, Block 3 is a strong ass Block still so it may not be in 2's best interest to help them achieve anything. It might be better to just let them be last place. Hmm, idk. I wonder what Block 2 will decide.

This is kind of a shady move on Haon's part but I'm glad he's doing it haha. Block 6 would probably have done it to them too if the tables were turned. Oh well...

OK so from my perspective, Block 3 and 6 are still very much a threat. Then on top of that, Block 1 is laying low but they are ALSO still a big threat. Block 1 beat Block 2 before in the missions. Honestly if this show wasn't so unpredictable, it would be in Block 2's best interest to not make any deals with Block 3 OR 6. They could just go back on the deal with Block 6 and keep the 30K. However since the show is so unpredictable, if they back out it might bite them in the ass later. Block 3 and 6 might decide to band together to target Block 2. However, if 2 helps at least one of the blocks, then they might have a trusted ally to band together against other blocks. Again, this is just my perspective so I'll see how it plays out.

O'domar asks Block 2 if they'll betray them. Tobii just enthusiastically says "Yes!" Lol he's having too much fun as leader.

They ask Khan and he says "I don't know." Why are they torturing Block 6 like this 😆

Finally, Loopy steps in and just gives the confirmation that they'll stick to the original plan. Khan and Tobii are so savage though haha.

Haon is still anxious and determined though. He yells out for Khan and Khan (badly) hides himself under the blanket. I'd be scared too!

Kaogaii/Geegooin ended up going to talk with Haon. they didn't want Haon to be upset so they just talked it out and basically came to the conclusion that it's just the game. Nothing personal on either side.

Alright so teams are officially set in stone. No more changing blocks or leaders.

Leaders no longer have immunity. Elimination candidates are no longer chosen.

So the next mission is "Kill them all" which is a cypher for a time limit. They will bet a certain amount of money and the rapper with the most votes will take the money. It seems like there will be a live audience to vote for this round. Only the 3 blocks with the most money go to the next round.

There's ~30 minutes left in ep.9. So I'll post part 3 in a little bit.

i suddenly hyperfixated heavily on wizards of the black circle, and there's absolutely no content(like there's maybe like a few fics and their tumblr tag is just full of posts by the same three people)

what would the wizards do or how would they like rest, cause we see that they clearly get exhausted and worn down a little by the fighting and using their magic

like would duman need to rest longer cause we see him using his powers like constantly(i personally think he takes a lot of naps, actually most of them would consider how old they could just taking group grandpa naps lol)

Am I not one of those three people anymore- Gotta step up my game fr dang

I think generally resting is a pretty straightforward thing. We even see Gantlos taking a nap, which I personally find absolutely delightful. It's very important to me. Get those hours in grandpa!! They're clearly not above sleeping and GOOD, they shouldn't be.

But depending on the point in time, the way they went about things probably did change over time? To me there's like 3 major points for them: Their start -> prime -> downfall.

Like in the early days it was probably a rare sight for them to all sleep at the same time, same goes during their downfall. Plus depending on their personal experience and skill levels they may all have needed a different amount of rest after using their magic excessively or even recklessly, so yeah. As a whole they kinda had this BOOM ATTACK lay low and don't use your magic, then ATTACK AGAIN and hide- Repeat cycle, something like that going on.

Then their prime rolled around and they just. Didn't really need to lay low between attacks anymore. They still slept! Sort of! But when they started feeling low on magical energy they could tap into the Black Circle (the object), which now stored a bunch of absorbed magic, take a quick sniff and be replenished. At most it'd take a meditation maybe, but it wasn't something they needed to take a big break for anymore. Imagine being a Terrestrial fairy. You've gotten used to the wizards disappearing after bigger attacks and suddenly those breaks get shorter and shorter until eventually there no longer are breaks. Me personally, I would give up.

Eventually their downfall rolls around, which brought back both the sleeping in shifts, as mentioned, as well as the ATTACK and lay low approach. But now it's embarrassing because they're cocky and supposed to be above that at their grown, experienced age. They're not stupid enough to inhale their whole magic supply in a panic, but that doesn't leave them with a lot of different options beside the reliable breaks.

HOWEVER!! Back in the day they somewhat had the advantage of going from minor inconvenience to genuine threat, right- Meanwhile during S4 they already ARE a threat, just disappearing like they used to doesn't quite work the same anymore. They don't have the energy to sustain their reputation, and the reputation is too much for their enemy to let their guard down while the wizards try to lay low. Just things to think about. I know I think.

Something else I think about!! Is Duman specifically!! And nobody was surprised sksjdhfj. I'd like to think his magic is on the majority of the time, that's just how he works. His transformations are quick and frequent, as we know, having it on just helps that work properly. Now I have considered!! Hibernation. At times. At least a form of it.

Back in the day there were genuine times he was out of the running for a while just not to strain his magic more than it could handle. Of course he wasn't as GREEDY with it as modern day Duman, so it didn't happen often, but it did happen. Very inconvenient!! Ogron despised his ass frfr. Jk but. It stopped being a necessary thing during their prime too, because of their shared supply- Probably should've returned during their downfall though. But it didn't. So.

I could really yap on about the hibernation thing tbh, I keep breakdancing on the fence whether I really wanna use it, but the concept has given me THOUGHTS and the wizard server refuses to humor me!!!!! No they do just the last time I brought it up with them I didn't have a lot to say yet jdkdj- Either way I could probably just. Use it sometimes, depending on what I'm doing. What else is new right.

hes just. wonderful. all around. never met a nicer, more realist and grounded man than he is. not to even mention how inclusive and respectful he is and he tries to make his spaces to be (and before anyone says anything, i know hes not perfect, he obviously has his flaws as he is still a stupid human being, but from multiple personal experiences i can tell he does his best). like fr hes just such a good bean, and ive never heard anyone say a bad word about him when someone has interacted with him

and then ofc his in character work is incredible. how he manages to build and tell compelling stories and keep developing himself and his character while hes at it. hes so talented on the mic and brings a really interesting flare into the ring and hes just a delight to watch, and ive especially been enjoying watching his recent heel work mocking his opponents in ridiculous ways. also the back arch but we dont have time to unpack that rn--

but uuuh yeah he plays like.. at this specific point in time im not sure about the character to be quite honest? he calls himself a 'pro wrestling artist' as he keeps weaving and telling stories through his work and arcs, but idk how thats currently working out for him (i blame lack of tv time which is such a fucking curse 😔). hes more or less alligned in a trios team(/stable) with butcher and blade atm, i think they are gonna use the deadly alliance name at least for now - apart from them being kips friends/hired guns i dont really know whats going on over there either storywise. again, the curse of lack of tv time ugh. but even with that said, they are a great team with an incredible connection with one another, and they play their designated roles so well. also they are just happy to work together which is more than enough for me to enjoy them c:

WE TALKED SO MUCH ABOUT THE RIN AND SAE LOVE TRIANGLE REQUEST THAT IT ALMOST MANIFESTED INTO REALITY 😭 but actually i was always going to have ego be there!! he’s meant to be a retired jockey and trainer who helps reader with her pegasus because it’s a super weak foal that she has to raise and train herself so ego’s retired ahh decides to help her because he has nothing better to do and he wants her to race against kaiser and beat him (because kaiser is training with noel noa who is ofc ego’s opp) anri was a last minute addition though originally she was just the generic “best friend” character like in fwtkac where she’s never named but then i was annoyed by having to dance around not giving her a name so then i was like hmm tullia feature perhaps?? but THEN i was like nah because including tullia in just a one shot is like asking to be shot or smth 😓 in series people have time to adjust to liking her so it’s not as bad but in a one shot it would just cause unnecessary drama so i just went with the only female character in all of blue lock and made it anri!!

i will always be a safe place for side character and rare dynamic enjoyers 🙏🏻 it’s like i always say…if you like side characters that means you probably have read the media closely enough to actually know who they are and understand them enough to like them?? and if you can pull off a rare pair or dynamic well that means you understand the characters to the point that it feels convincing which is why i think having rare pairs or liking really random characters is like a green flag to me that a person isn’t going to have weird fandom opinions (not 100% accurate though sadly but def a good indicator)

unfortunately the aot fandom is like genuinely insane so they eat well but they don’t DESERVE IT 😭 aot as a show is very complicated for me because on the one hand i think there’s a lot that was done really well and i think the first three seasons (and even a bit into the fourth) were AMAZING but the fourth was. not utter TRASH but i think it could’ve been done better and conveyed the messages i believe the author was trying to convey in a clearer way 🤔 so i would neither glaze nor hate on the show!! but people either like to absolutely dog on it or they’re like twelve years old and the themes of the show went over their head entirely so they just say bs and it’s like “okay you need to attend a few more english classes before you’re qualified to have an opinion on this” yk?? so that means there’s a lot of crazy takes in both directions floating around abt the show hence why i don’t really post write or even think about it that much anymore

the itoshis are the FACE of blue lock i fear HAHAHA i think nagi was the most popular back when the first season first came out (so many mutuals i know that started the show for nagi but moved on whereas i did the opposite because i got into bllk so much later) but especially because he hasn’t been in the manga much and has been in a downfall arc he hasn’t been getting as much attention 😩 and the people who DO like him are mostly anime-only so they typically make the more basic edits 💔 in terms of canon it’s GREAT being a nagi fan because he always comes back (plus he has epinagi) but in terms of the fandom it’s truly rough 😰

How does Ming live knowing he never faced Joe's original body while having sex?! That fact will haunt me like this show I feel like didn't touch enough on the horrors and despair of a permanent body switch bc I think in most fiction, the people switch back but here... Joe is just stuck in this random guy's body forever while his own body was cremated... horrific omg.

I knew going into the show that Ming is supposedly a terrible person who treats Joe shittily and Joe keeps going back to it and I think that preparation helped me really enjoy the show. The show redeems Ming by the end but it doesn't necessarily pretend that Ming actually treated Joe well back then, Ming's shittiness was the point. It's a fun show and I was excited to see Ming realize how much Joe truly meant to him rather than his crush on Tong.

I found Ming and Joe so cute together man, like when the times were good, they were soooooo good. I know people at the start wanted Joe to grow a spine and move on but I was curious how they'd make it work.

Why did they try to redeem Tong at the end?! I still hate that guy and May should've divorced him fr, I also can't fucking believe he dared to ask "would you still like me if I wasn't famous, May?" like motherfuckerrrr she's staying with you despite you causing so much trouble and getting into so much debt, how dare you accuse her of such shallow things?
