Even though Vex'ahlia knew on a certain level that her presence in Percival's workshop was a distraction, she found too much joy in watching him work. She loved the way his eyebrows pulled together while he tried to solve for a problem, the way he'd mumble softly under his breath and roll up his sleeves.

As he worked, her eyes drifted, slowly moving down to his hands. They worked skillfully, maneuvering around the arrows and combining the elements together to create the intended explosive nature. The half-elf smiled softly as her gaze focused on the thin, white scars that covered most of Percy's wrists. It was something she wouldn't have braved doing even a few months before, but she knew that Percy trusted her.

It was still a marvel to her that the gunslinger had gone through so much, so much pain and suffering, and still managed to create wonderful things. Still managed to be a good man. It was inspiring, and one of the many reasons she loved him.

His words interrupted her thoughts, and her smile widened.

"I'm sure you could find a way to do it with one hand if need be," she countered with a wink.

Allay.

Fresh souls from dying men are severed in half using profane dark magic, the malevolent and destructive components of the soul producing a Vex and the constructive and benevolent components of the soul producing an Allay. Allay are kept as pets or lab rats by the illagers, or they are warped into vex, though these are more unstable than normal ones.

Another alternative is posting an out of context line from a fic and the participants have to guess what fandom it's from

Vex’ahlia is obviously winning. Keyleth is better at this game than she gives herself credit for and isn’t doing half bad. Grog is being a little too aggressive with the turns and keeps crashing into things; and yet somehow, he’s still a place ahead of Scanlan. The game is clearly rigged!
