Hi RPC. About a year ago, I recalled seeing some PSA's about a roleplayer that was making female writers in the RPC very uncomfortable and s*xually harassing them. He is unfortunately back and actively searching for new people to write with.

His current alias is Deco, but he's been known to go by MJ, Omar, Duncan, and many other names. His past known URLS are apache-gold, overrridewrites, wineandwisdom, and thesevenking (there may be more.) His most current URL is fullofmuses (I would advise you block him and report him.) Long story short:

This user will approach you to plot, supposedly looking for romantic plots. He will only reach out to you if you are a female mun. Once he gains your trust, he will ask for your Discord. He will push your boundaries and try to force you into plots that you may not be comfortable with. He comes off in a way that's very approachable and friendly but will quickly turn sour, even violent, if you do not agree to plot with him on his terms.

He has a history of flirting with/making unwanted advances towards RPers even if they have not given any impression that they're interested in it, discusses plots and tries to push his ideas on you even if you are not comfortable with them, and ultimately tries to set up you up (mostly women in their 20s) to plot with his "father" or "other friend."

He has a few major plot points he is interested, but they almost always revolve around 1. a couple with infertility issues and the female seeking out getting pregnant by someone else 2. a relationship where the female character cheats on the male character 3. inc*stual plots, often times with a female character cheating on her significant other with a father figure. It is always the female OC cheating on his male OC, a third party being needed to help with conceiving, and will usually have infertility, breeding, and inc*st as common themes within.

Please do not fall victim to this person. He is extremely manipulative and does not care about your writing. He uses roleplaying as a way to find and harass women, and if he finds out any information about you OOC, he will not hesitate to continue harassing you outside of the RPC/Tumblr. He found Tumblr after following a roleplayer that he'd been harassing and chasing her off the original platform they were on.

Red flags, patterns and signs that it is him that you are interacting with:

He only writes male OCs.

He is very interested in Marvel/DC and Game of Thrones/HoTD.

His plot/genre interests include a variety, "slice of life" and "dramedy" being some of the main ones.

His rules are always the same/mention being interested in writing "unorthodox" plots.

He messages or DM's you seemingly out of nowhere to ask if you're looking to plot.

He claims he works at an airport to some capacity (either handling luggage, doing security, sometimes even as a pilot.)

He says he's in his late 20's, usually 28 or 29.

He says to be based in either Colorado and/or California.

He constantly talks about himself, his physical appearance, and/or his personal hygiene.

After he settles a plot (if he doesn't get blocked or ghosted first), he asks roleplayers if they are willing to plot romance and/or smut with either his father or his friend.

His likes and following list are always public.

He makes himself out to be the victim if he is blocked by other writers to try and gain your sympathy.

He talks in a way that makes it sound like he is supportive of your plot ideas but always tries to spin it to fit what he wants, even if you've stated you are not comfortable with it.

beginnings  are  easy  ----  girl  meets  boy,  boy  meets  girl,  they  fall  in  love  and  do  what  all  high  school  sweethearts  think  they  have  to  do:  get  married,  have  kids,  live  a  little  picket  fence  life  after  that.  and  they  did  ..  kind  of.  nicholas  and  faith  met  in  freshman  english  and  as  luck  would  have,  at  that  point,  the  rest  was  history.  they'd  never  spent  more  than  two  weeks  apart  and  when  they  graduated,  faith  followed  him  to  a  large  school  to  play  football  —  and  by  the  time  they  graduated,  she  was  pregnant  with  their  first  child:  esme.  when  nicholas  got  an  office  job  and  spent  …  possibly  more  time  than  necessary  at  the  office,  there  wasn't  much  she  could  do.  he  was  actively  disinterested  in  her  and  their  daughter  ----  cue  bryce,  the  fix  it  baby.  kind  of  (  not  really  )  .

his  essential  purpose  was  to  save  a  dying  marriage.  and  it  worked,  for  a  time.  nicholas  was  spending  more  time  at  home  with  the  new  baby  around.  all  was  well.  until  it  wasn't  —  receipts  to  dinners  she  never  went  to,  emails  on  their  shared  computer,  hair  ties  in  his  car  that  weren't  hers.  and  faith  was  livid  ----  who  wouldn't  be,  after  all?  she  divorced  him.  and  naturally,  with  two  kids,  there's  a  custody  battle:  it's  nasty.  she's  upset,  he's  worse  because  he's  hotheaded  as  hell.  eventually,  the  idea  is  for  them  to  split  half  the  year  in  california  (  where  nicholas  lives,  his  company  is,  etc  )  and  new  york  (  where  faith  has  family  and  eventually  returns  to  )  .  it  worked,  kind  of.

the  thing  is,  faith  never  got  over  it.  eventually  it  turned  into  disinterest  into  her  own  kids,  as  bad  as  that  sounds.  by  the  time  bryce  was  4,  nicholas  was  granted  custody  full  time  after  faith  all  but  relinquished  her  rights.  he  didn’t  understand  it  at  the  time,  but  he  was  closer  to  his  father  anyway,  so  it  was  fine.  they  were  attached  at  the  hip.  bryce  would  scream  and  cry  during  kindergarten  dorp  off,  and  be  a  wreck  by  the  time  he  came  to  pick  him  up  during  the  day.  it  was  bad  lowkey.  however,  it  was  also  his  own  foreshadowing  for  the  future  …. 

all  things  considered,  their  childhood  was  great  —  thanks  to  the  wealth  nicholas’  job  brought  and  moving  up  the  ranks  within  the  company,  constant  trips  to  disney  and  doing  things.  was  spoiled,  though  his  sister  took  advantage  of  it  more  than  bryce  ever  did.  an  adhd  kid  and  diagnosed  at  age  11,  he  likes  the  way  he  can  expend  all  his  energy  into  his  after  school  programs  and  things,  and  be  able  to  fall  asleep  at  night  with  only  slight  melatonin.  was  lowkey  kind  of  a  hobby  -  hopper  -—  a  try  everything  once  kind  of  kid,  and  bryce  knows  what  he  likes,  and  they  stick  with  it.  from  little  league  baseball  to  soccer  to  pottery  to  coding,  he  literally  tried  everything  —  then  came  theatre.  the  idea  of  slipping  into  another  mindset  and  playing  essential  pretend  was  more  than  enough  for  him  to  thrive  within  their  small  community  and  then  some. 

high  school  was  …  well.  high  school.  went  to  a  charter school,  one  focused  on  the  arts  and  sciences  more  than  an  actual  curriculum.  it  was  where  bryce  thrived.  socially,  academically,  semi  -  professionally - ISH.

CAR  ACCIDENT   +  INJURY   +   HEARING  LOSS      /      bryce  was  16  when  they  finally  got  their  driver's  liscence,  and  thus,  a  car  (  thanks,  nepotism  money!  )  .  he  was  returning  home  from  a  later  than  usual  football  practice  when  he  was  t-boned  by  a  car  who  wasn't  pay  attention.  bryce's  own  car  was  flipped  onto  it's  side  and  pushed  several  feet  when  the  other  car  wouldn't  stop  —  air  bags  deployed,  though  that  didn't  stop  his  own  head  from  impact.  if  you'd  asked  him,  as  soon  as  he  was  out  of  the  car,  he  was  all  fine  and  dandy.  reality  check:  he  wasn't  —  concussion,  temporal  bone  fracture,  post  concussion  syndrome.  it  wasn't  a  fun  time. 

HEARING  LOSS      /      due  to  the  impact  and  fracture  within  his  right  ear,  bryce  was  diagnosed  with  hearing  loss  (  sudden  sensorineural  hearing  loss  in  particular,  in  his  right  ear  )  .  for  lack  of  better  words  and  ease  of  understanding,  he  has  about  40%  left  of  his  hearing  in  his  right  ear  thanks  to  the  fracture  and  damage  of  the  nerve  cells  within  the  ear  canal.  despite  this,  bryce  tries  to  continue  his  life  as  normal.  normal  school  (  or  –  as  normal  as  it  can  be  with  your  siblings  hovering  over  you  )  ,  normal  activities,  no  need  for  adjustments.  you  tell  your  family  you've  got  this,  not  to  worry,  and  don't  look  to  meet  them  in  the  eye.  tries  his  best  and  in  a  fuck  you  rachel  berry  moment  —  applies  to his  dream  school,  nyu  tisch.  it’s  a  big  jump.  less  than  a  year  and  a  half  out  from  his  accident  (  "the"  accident,  as  bryce  continues  to  refer  to  it  )  and  he’s  already  talking  like  he’s  going  to  move  states  (  and  wants to  )  .  it's  not  like  new  york  is  unfamiliar  to  him,  but  in  a  different  realm,  he'd  never  been  there  by  himself,  for  extended  periods  of  time.  bryce  argued  that  this  is  how  an  artist  grows,  this  is  how  he  becomes  who  he  is,  or  whatever  lindsay  lohan's  character  in  confession's  says.  his  parents  disagreed,  but  bryce  is  stubborn,  and  there  was  no  changing  his  mind. 

he  doesn’t  get  in  ----  but  that’s  how  legends  are  made,  after  all,  so  he  moves  to  new  york  city  anyway.  and  the  change  is  astronomical.  maybe  not  to  some,  but  for  someone  who  is  still  adjusting  to  how  he  is  now?  it  was,  indeed,  a  bad  idea.  he  had  a  year  lease,  and  within  that  time?  a  legend  dies  rather  than  is  born.  as  stubborn  as  he  is,  he  came  eventually  relented  to  his  father’s  pleas  to  return  home to hollowcreek.

as friendly as he is, he’s very afraid of … just about everything. he’s skittish and kind of like a stray cat. though, if he likes you, he truly never shuts the fuck up. genuinely a kind guy, though he tends to have foot - in - mouth disease and says the wrong thing all the fuckin’ time. doesn’t think before he speaks, and rarely thinks at all.

a bit too empathetic. tends to try not to look at one person a specific way, and is way too open minded to relationships with people who are bad news. tends to look at the world in rose colored glasses, though if you cut him just the right way, they’re going to cut you off.

definitely favors his left ear, and will turn to face whoever it is speaking in that direction, even if it is a bit odd looking. he’s not completely deaf in his right ear, but the tinnitus often wins out, and bryce doesn’t bother to fight it anymore. has been working on learning sign language and isn’t totally fluent — but he’s working on it. but the adhd demons. to be clear, bryce is open to all forms of communication, but which he prefers depends on the situation. in a crowded area, he’s going to rely more on written or sign language. i understand most muses don’t know sign, and that’s totally fine! in that case, we’ll work with what we have. when he’s signing, it will be in italics like this and have a descriptor of signage.

due to the intense focusing that having vocal conversations can have, he, unfortunately often experiences overstimulation and burnout. concentration is hard tenfold since this happened and they’re exactly great at managing emotions. lashing out and having attitudes will occur. usually apologizes, but sometimes not.

intense hyperfocus when he likes something, or is invested. can, will and has tuned everyone in a crowded room completely out until it’s done. has that adhd rage, i’m afraid. he’s come a long way to control it, but sometimes it’s just too much. tends to switch to different topics all within one conversation, and lowkey has a motor mouth.

has been doing theatre since middle school, really. both local and school productions, but mostly high school once he began attending that charter school. he excelled and tended to be quite the little show off, evne if he didn’t mean to be. was the lead in .. quite a few of his school productions. i’ll make a list eventually.

his family is .. rich. but he definitely doesn’t act like it. outside of the whole school + family trips thing, he doesn’t seem like it. will spoil his friends and loved ones anyway, bc his mom tries to shove money onto him all the time and he doesn’t know what to do with it. will jokingly buy you a new car, send you on a trip to cabos or pay for 10 packages of those fancy packaged strawberries.   speaking of money ---- bryce hasn’t spoken to his mom in years, but that doesn’t stop her from sending checks upon checks of money, thanks to her own career in the fashion industry. 

constantly on that damn zoom … wants to be an actor, so he’s been auditioning for literally everything. even things he doesn’t fit. he gets into the zoom and they’re like hello? and he’s just like hii ^.^ and they close the room or something.

a gleek and a swiftie. like pick a struggle? he’s an evermore guy but also 1989.  is the guy in the room to be like “they played this on glee..” like i’m sure! get a hobby! get a job do something!

has no filter, whatsoever. tends to say out of pocket things without meaning too, and doesn’t entirely convey when he’s joking. more often than not, he’s being entirely sincere. he’s funny, but he can be a little bit of a try hard. laugh please.

has not driven since the accident. if anyone asks, he just says he ‘prefers to support the economy by using uber’ (?????) or public transport. has nightmares about the accident, constantly, and doesn't tell anyone about them. he’s embarrassed, lowkey, and doesn’t quite remember them — so it’s like. what would i even say? he’s a tad bit afraid to admit his hearing is getting worse. he’s been asking others to repeat themselves more often , his tinnitus is getting noticeably bad , migraines are starting to occur far more often. this is going by silently on his own part and won’t admit it to anyone.

uses theatre as a way to cope with his trauma ---- he delves into other people to see new perspective and coping skills, though they're not always the healthiest nor do they make the most sense. it's what he knows, it's what he's good at, and he doesn't see a reason to stop – only a reason to adapt, even if he isn't happy about it.

step - sibling !! in a lore reveal, nicholas remarries around the time bryce enters high school. this person is the same age as him, and they don’t get along at all. it isn’t until recent that they’ve stopped butting heads and can be in a room without a fight breaking out. this is on the main ! this is a step sister to me.

I try to portray Magneto's Jewish heritage in a nuanced way, not always overtly-- not screaming it out, I admit. And I try to do good research. Please do not kill me.

WHEN IT APPEARS:

Heavy Emphasis with Specific CHARACTERS: Some interactions draw out the Jewish influence more directly, making it less subtext. This happens with:

Obvious Examples for that are his family (Wanda, Pietro, Lorna, Luna, Billy, Tommy,...),

characters with similar believes (Moon Knight),

people who can be similar or oppositional (Dr. Doom, X-Men, Charles),

children like the New Mutants or children on Krakoa.

ERAS AKA. PLOT: Magneto's connection to his heritage fluctuates. Sometimes, it's at the forefront (90s, Krakoa/Arrako), with reflection on his history and family. Other times (2014), it's more detached or even betraying, creating an internal conflict. The eras also tend to turn to other aspects of his heritage. (Arrako - family, Krakoa - mythos, 2014 - historical trauma, parallels to dark times)

HOW IT EXPRESSES:

YIDDISH LANGUAGE: The first noticable thing is that I try to use Yiddish. Though rare, as I fear mistakes, he uses Yiddish names for his children, and occasional phrases.

JEWISH CULTURE: Instead of the predominantly Christian metaphors in the comics (Pieta), I reference Jewish writers, folklore, myth, music, quotes, and art. Golem, Leviathan, and creation myths are often referenced, alongside Kabbalistic ideas.

My FOLKLORE tends to always circle back to the Golem or Leviathan, or myths from creation and Kabbalistic doctrine. Some folklore aspects I love but lack to mention enough is gilgul (reincarnation until being worthy of god), Dybbuk (possessing evil).

Magnus also cooks Jewish food in my RPs. A lot. Food is a comfort language for him.

TRADITIONS AND RITUALS: Life cycle events or traditions and actions is something I try to add more and more. Just to name a few, this includes writing of Bar/Bat Mitzvah (Birthday celebrations) for his children, Sabbath, when the roleplay storyline is darker (referencing Genosha or similar events), I think back to traditions of shiva. Krakoa is related to Pentecost in my mind.

LOVE LANGUAGE: His romance is based on Yiddish romance writing and poetry and how it is viewed. Like, everyday acts of love mattering far more. His love is actions, constant, not bursts. (Also, I remember old Jewish love movies!) example source as this could be its own endless post.

FAMILY- MAX VS MAGNETO: I give his family a more significant role. A ground he can be based on-- because that is a core all of Magneto will always return to. There is more reflection to what Max was given-- taught how to make jewelry, stories he was told, how he grew up before Auschwitz and during it (fighting for survival, being a thief, having especially good eye-sight to spot gold in the pits,...).

Max, Erik, Magnus, Magneto-- Using different names reflects different aspects of him. Max connects him to his core, his family, and his youth. I use it more often. It's a return to his pre-Auschwitz self, similar to Al Ewing's return to the name in X-Men: Red.

Furthermore, he is more of a 'typical' Jewish dad to his kids, with predominantly German and Polish influence.

APPEARANCE: Though not noticable in my writing, I suppose, in my mind, subtle details like his nose, skin, and hands influenced by jewelry-making with his parents, or his naturally curly hair, hint at his Jewish background. I also like the idea of his helmet being kind of his Kippa (I do not remember where I read that once)

GOD: Magneto's relationship with God requires separate discussion. However, I do show him reflecting on his faith at times, calling upon God, even. And he tries to atone in the way his heritage has taught him to.

Top 10, here we go... @antvnger Puppy-Mun is the first I am putting on this list first because of all the threads and ideas I've ever had on here the thread I've been doing with them (Space Heist) is the largest single run I've had so far. We actually had an entire 4 part mission and went to Knowhere. I feel like Rocket and Scott made some real progress in becoming friends and I love that. Every post they make is gold. They're nice to their anons and I generally enjoy interacting with them OOC and hijacking their random posts. They're also genuinely funny, which I feel is very important for someone portraying Scott. I already loved Ant-Man but Puppy-Mun makes me adore him even more! They also often tag me and I love that 💕

@byondtheveil Rei-Mun (Birb-Queen) is #1 OC in Rocket's world and my Rocket muse simply adores her. I always look forward to reading her replies and she's a great person to talk to and shoot the breeze OOC. We both love thrifting IRL so it's fun to just spam her DMs about my latest finds. Her character Rei is literally one of the most endearing original characters I've ever come across. She's well thought out and has connected with Rocket in a way most muses can't do. With her I have been able to explore Rocket's comfortability just popping on and off Earth and get some much deserved down time. @papetoonfox Papetoonfox was a RP partner I had many years ago. We haven't interacted much on tumblr but we got a RP going on Discord that I am fully engrossed in. Our conversations OOC often puts me in stitches and we have so much common interest it's so easy to just get lost in our own little nostalgic world of Y2K aesthetics and retrowave vibes. They're also very encouraging with me about my art and they produce some of the coolest music I've heard from anyone I know. I love their portrayal of Fox and so does my muse.

@stripesofbrooklyn They were one of the first to interact with me OOC when I started getting more active again and I feel we check in on eachother both ways pretty regularly I am confident to call them a friend. Our muses have great chemistry together and Rocket always loves hearing from them no matter what strange shenanigan they might be getting into. Rocket fully admires and trusts their Steve and is someone Rocket would go out of his way for.

@spidermanxnoir / @jeff-the-gnome-king First they get super points just for playing my favorite version of Spider-Man (Noir) and our thread which started off without any plotting has turned into one of the most epic adventures my Rocket has ever had. I think Rocket's gotten pretty attached to him as they've gone along and genuinely think he's cool. Looking forward to them retaining an ongoing friendship. Being able to tie or franchises together has been a ton of fun and I think we write beautifully together. Also they're super chill OOC and I love bugging them with my latest ideas. @the-mjolnir-owner This Thor is one of my best friends on Tumblr. They are often sending me posts in my DMs to see about Rocket and Thor and I just love their characterization. We also have a lot of fun discussions about Thor and the Guardians and I feel they capture Thor very well in their writing. Just in general they're an absolute joy.

@butwithmoreme I know our thread is fairly new/short but I literally hear Tony's voice in their writing, it's so damn good. As Rocket's mun I will hold a special place in my heart for anyone who doesn't just write him off for being a little shit. The fact they're being science bros together makes me so happy. @spideymn A big stand-out as a great writer. Sounding repetitive here, but I hear Tom Holland in their dialog and they feel very in character. A shining standout, and my muse likes him because he's a helpful kiddo. Happy to see them interacting together. @beatfreesmysoul They're my #1 music buddy right now, and I enjoy dropping into their DMs to be annoying lol. It's so great to have someone here to talk tunes with because I genuinely am a big music nerd. I love that they send me memes/tag me for that stuff too. As a Rocket RPer I often feel a bit sidelined so they make me feel included on things which I super appreciate. Our thread taking place earlier in the storyline is great too, kinda fun to undo all my muse's character development and let him have 'issues' he needs to work through and I love that we can explore or character's developing friendship.

@gctbusydying I am pretty sure they're my first Kitty Pryde and honestly, worth the wait. Interacting with them feels like we're jumping right out of the comics. I think that Kitty is canonly one of Rocket's favorite ladies and their friendship is important to me. I know I MOSTLY adhere to MCU canon but I've read the comics too (albeit a long time ago) but when it comes to Kitty I'm like -slams fist on desk- FRIENDS. I know we haven't had a TON of interaction but I hope it keeps going.

The Call - Finale, Escape, Stats

Thorn knew what they had to do. They aimed the rifle and shot twice, paralyzing Kirk's legs. He fell onto the altar before looking up, anger in his eyes. His fury quickly turned to fear as the werewolves appeared and began to tear him apart, ripping and chewing him apart. After he was into pieces, a priest walked up, spoke some arcane words, and Kirk was up back together. Then he was ripped apart again and put back together again. Thorn smiled at his repeated torment, and turned to leave.

They passed by Marcos, who gave them a proud smile and a nod. Thorn reciprocated and ventured out, the forest twisting to allow them to exit straight back to the camp. Thorn could hear barking from Rockette and hurried as fast as their limp could handle.

Rockette wagged her tail excitedly and bounced at seeing Thorn. Thorn was equally excited and fell down to pet the good girl. Thorn looked up and saw the weak smile of Silky; she survived the tower collapse! The three were so happy to be reunited that they missed Marcos emerging to pull the large tree blocking the road away before disappearing into the shadows.

The trio walked down the path, passing by a ransacked ranger station and seeing an ambulance drive by. The two humans waved their arms to get the driver's attention, and it pulled over. The ambulance drivers wasted no time in loading the three up and driving them to safety. Thorn had missed the bumper sticker which had a hidden Foundation logo on it; the ambulance wasn't driving to a hospital, but rather a Foundation site. Even if they had known, they wouldn't complain, as it was better than being dead.

In local news a massacre at a local camping spot occurred. Unfortunately a few nights ago an attack happened on the River Stigz campsite, with traces of body parts and blood found, with several others still missing.
