Just a cute little giraffe named George

Meet George the Giraffe. He has been well loved but now his family felt it was time for some rejuvenation:

As you can see, George couldn't hold his head up anymore. He'd lost his ears and horns, and his music box was broken. We agreed on a spa, a new music box, and new ears and horns.

Here's George in his bubble bath. I know, he looks a little suspicious of it:

George actually had internal boning for his legs, so that got straightened and went back in. We had hoped that his music box would say what song it originally played, but it didn't. So I sent his person a list of song options from music boxes I had available:

She chose Brahm's Lullaby, which is probably the most popular, along with Eine Kleine Nachtmusic.

So the music box went in, and so did new stuffing (including denser stuffing to help hold up his neck). And of course George got a heart with a bit of original stuffing:

I had to do a bit of research to find images of George's healthier relations and figure out what his original ears and horns looked like. He's an Eden giraffe, and hand his tag, which helped. Turns out his horns actually had blue tips originally, which I never would have guessed! Here he is all better and ready to fly home:

His person wrote "He looks great!" and so I packed him up and sent him home. Last week in fact. :-) But he was so cute with those blue horns, I couldn't wait to share his story with all of you.

Hello! I made a song with my interpretation of Phirre's enchanting lullaby, AKA what I hear in my head when he starts singing.

I learned how to use vocal synths just for this, and it took me about 2 or 3 weeks of work. Please give it a listen!

One day, you comes across the staffbot in the abandoned theater.

There is a fine layer of dust to them, just as there is on everything else in the room. You are hesitant to even walk in, at first. You climb the stares from stage right, approaching with enough time to let them back away if they wanted to. They don't. You come up so you are face to face with them. Though frozen in an empty, static pose, their eyes are dusky, lifeless. You stare for a while. It's odd, seeing your reflection like this.

You take the time to lower their suspended hands to a more relaxed position. You straighten their hat and adjust the front of their vest, dusting off the shoulders. You stand, looking at them for a while.

You don't check as you leave and carefully, noiselessly, close the door behind you, but you know their head turned to follow your silent departure. Both you know it will be a long time before you return. Hopefully, they do not blame you. No one ever likes coming to a silent theater to look upon the long-cold corpse of themselves.

Time for the second Eiki test! This time I'm testing something that already exists, but is no longer created. This is a "Idiophonic/Lullaby/Music Box" Cover (not sure what name to pick as of right now,) a kind of Cover I used to make, but stopped. I made them in the very beginning of audio making, and the reason I eventually stopped is because back then I didn't know how to edit instruments or harmonize as well as I can now, so I just stopped making them. Now that I've improved by a LOT, I'm thinking of bringing them back. If I do bring them back I'm going to have to agree on a name for them...

List of fics I have planned and need to actually write bc I want to but have no motivation:

- The Yingxing lifespan fic, which is so heavily planned. I have multiple characterization guidelines for myself, multiple events I want to happen in the fic all planned out, the amount of tabs I have for it is a lil embarrassing since I need to just sit down and finally write it. Like the way this has been simmering in my brain... I just hope it'll actually be enjoyable for y'all when I start posting it

- Fic surrounding that oc planet idea I had with the stellaron that has caused a disease to spread that is similar to Hanahaki except guess what, it has more causes, more aggravators, and you don't solely just cough up petals, the petals come from how it makes planets grow all within you until it turns you into a planet from the inside out. So yeah hanahaki esc elements in its ties to emotions and love + slow and painful transflormation? (I have so many thoughts and ocs for this already I can't even. Like I need to find time to ramble about this)

- To go with the Yingxing lifespan fic, a shorter fic, probably a oneshot, covering his time right after the Borisin attacked to a little before Huaiyan finds him :) very.. very painful just as a warning

- A fic version taking all of the ideas I have from my "How I Would Write Jingliu's Companion Quest" draft (that I need to finally finish and pos) and actually y'know writing it all out

- Literally any kind of fic where I can just project all of my chronic pain struggles onto Blade because I still haven’t been able to meet with a rheumatologist yet

- I cope with all the angst I have taking up most of my brain, some kind of fluffy Blade fic

- It takes up a very small corner of my brain but I do want to write some kind if Guinaifen fic, perhaps surrounding her as a child or maybe another transition through life. Maybe if I feel like being upbeat with my plots, it'll end up being a Gui + Sushang fic. We'll see

I need to just like sit down and actually write these, because oh my god the way it's eating at my brain

Today I made a yummy breakfast, finished up and entered my short story for a contest, finally wrote that dreaded mail to my publisher, and then spent a couple of hours rewriting part of my book for the third time. But like this, I could take out an entire chapter and make the story flow better.

Did all of this before noon. Talk about a productive morning
