I'm really not processing this. It doesn't seem real. It still feels like he's here. One Direction was my first love and played such a massive part in my life like so many of other directioners. Like, I have posters, and shirts, and nail polish, and little kid backpacks of One Direction--I write about them. I look at this picture and I'm not quite sure how to feel.

My heart goes out to my fellow Directioners as we try to figure out what to do with all of this heart breaking news.

Hey everyone! It's Mae! Last time I posted I said I was doing a rewrite and I still am! It ended up being a much bigger rewrite than I anticipated.

The plot remains the same but the writing and characters have changed. Their appearances have changed and some of their plot lines. It's completely different.

I think Azriel is the only character who still keeps his original personality, but his appearance has changed.

I came just to see if that's okay with everyone! I think the Decoy will not look very different with the rewrite but it will look different. I still love the plot and want to keep working on it.

I've taken into account the biggest concerns and have looked over the suggestions.

I might take down the demo and just change the theme and everything to start fresh. Turning over a new leaf.

one of my roommates tested positive for covid yesterday

so of course im keeping my distance and worried about getting sick.

tonight im eating dinner and chatting with my two other roommates, and as I'm confiding in them that i felt bad i had to bail on my covid roommate cause i didn't want to drive her to the grocery store (understandably) and they were like oh well we don't think its real

and im kinda like what?

and they say they dont believe in covid. and never in my life have i met people that just don't believe in covid, and only got the vaccine to come to our college.

just locked in davrin romance w my mourn watch rook .... super cute scene <3 but it makes me giggle thinking of the shenanigans that happened before this bc of me messing around w lucanis and neve as well.

i was always planning on romancing davrin but i really just cant help myself with flirt options and i always play through these types of games like my team is one big fucked up polycule or something (ESPECIALLY da2). this game really is good for that because of all the pre-commitment romance scenes. but thinking about it through an in character perspective is so funny esp when you take into account lucanis and davrin interactions + lucanis and neve. like those four are in some kinda love...square. rook is putting the moves on neve, lucanis, and davrin, lucanis and neve have their thing going on, davrin and lucanis are on their enemies to lovers bs (and lowkey neve and rook were like that after the whole treviso/minrathous debacle too).

one messy jumble of feelings which finally ends up settling in lucanis/neve and rook/davrin. and the funny thing is as soon as i got back from arlathan with dav, i got the scene were he and lucanis are drinking together having a grand old time LOL in my head neve joins them and rook later, and theyre just back to being friends like none of that all happened

duck, panicked and worried, rushes to grab first aid when yellow guy's hand gets shredded. duck, careful and determined, doesn't so much as brush against yellow guy's ear canal when removing that worm.

duck, obsessively reliant on routine and normalcy, removes yellow guy's batteries because the return to status quo is more important to him than the harm it will do.

duck is selfish. duck is so, so selfish. and yet beneath the bravado it's born of fear. he cringes away from any change, good or bad, because he's that uncomfortable with leaving his comfort zone.

it's unhealthy. it's unfair and cruel to the people around him. but it's also understandable, even relatable. it's a common fear driven to extremes by the situation he's trapped within.

anyways duck is absolutely selfish and cruel to yellow guy in episode 6 but I love him anyways because he has the potential to be better than what his fear has turned him into thanks for coming to my ted talk
