Hanabi's hands not once loosen their hold in Nier's and only tightens as Nier continues on with her traumatic past. It's when the figure materializes that Hanabi nearly hesitates. Still, she squeezes her hands in her own. Thumb brushes against her skin.

Hanabi has seen it all and as long as those petals continue to fall from Nier's body, all was good.

"Nier, i won't judge you. I wouldn't do that to you. I'm...," she shakes her head and lowers it. She was no different.

"Remember, I said all your secrets are safe with me. You don't have to hide them all. I won't judge you." Death....that's what she called it. Lifting her head, she looks the figure in the eyes.

"I have something like a ghost following me too."

The girl's touch is gentle and warm, and Nier gives a small smile. To think that less than ten minutes ago, she felt as though she was about to fall apart, and now things are so serene. Even as stems sprout from her skin, each bloom desperately hoping to coax a secret from her lips, she feels at ease. She leans into Hanabi as her voice drops, revealing another hidden depth of her heart. "For me, it was the opposite..." says sighs. "The people around me told me I wasn't even worth my own happiness, that I didn't deserve to feel like that. All I felt was sadness for the longest time, until... I had pretty much forgotten what it felt like to feel anything else."

Her sister's mocking laughter, her parents' icy indifference, her suitors' selfish passions- they all drift at the edge of Nier's memory, kept at bay by the love of her crewmates. She presses a hand to her chest, smiling. "But eventually, I was able to meet some people who showed me I wasn't selfish for just wanting to be loved. They showed me what it meant to really be cared for, and I couldn't be more thankful... I hope you're able to find someone like that."

Nier had meant to stop there. It seemed suiting, and then the two girls could go their separate ways, content in their shared secrets. But more words come from her lips, and she furrows her brow. "And everyone who rejected me, everyone who hurt me or threw me away... I just erased them."

The blood drains from her face, and her eyes go wide, but Nier continues to speak, and petals drop from her body like snowflakes. "All those men who said they loved me, then lied about it, I killed them. The people of that village who hurt my dear Captain, I killed them as well. I killed the parents of that girl who hit her, and then I made sure the Captain wouldn't find out, because... b-because..."

Her face twists in agony, and she finally cries out as black fog pours from her body. "Death! Help me!"

A ghostly figure clad all in black materializes from the smoke, and she presses a hand over Nier's mouth. "My beloved, it's fine... I believe it's these flowers that are causing you this distress... And look, they're wilting! Soon, you'll be okay..." But her masked face turns towards Hanabi, tilting to one side. "But... what shall we do with this one?"

Sweat beads down Nier's pallid face, and even as Death covers her mouth, her shoulders heave with ragged breaths. She only stares at Hanabi, as if daring the other girl to speak first.

"It's called the Sky-Strewn Isles," she says, finishing her thoughts from earlier. "If you do end up wanting to go, then..."

Trailing off, she looks away. She wouldn't refuse an invitation, but she probably wouldn't offer one herself. Perhaps going with someone else might make it a little easier.

It seems as though this initial meeting is winding down, and Nier can't help but feel a little proud of herself. Nobody got weirded out or hurt, and even though there was that confusion about curses, surely the Captain would be happy that she managed to help someone. "O-of course, if you ever need anything else I'll do my best," she says with a small smile. "They have some technology that lets you contact people, I don't really understand it, but-"

She blinks in surprise, staring-wide eyed at Ranma. Had she misheard? No, this was real, this was an invitation.

"A-are you sure? If you really don't mind, then I suppose I..."

She racks her brain; she's certainly had food in the area, but why is it suddenly so hard to remember it? "W-well, um... There's a market not too far from here, I think... They've got a lot of stalls there so we can probably find something for both of us..."

Stepping closer to Ranma, her smile widens. "Ah, that's all to say... I-I'd really like that, thank you."

🔴 That was basically the long and short of it. Opinions would vary on pretty much anything, and Ranma had always seen her curse as just that. At first there hadn't been any benefit to being smaller and weaker, but she'd learned to understand its advantages with time. Little by little she'd been figuring out what it mean to be a "girl" all on her own, she just didn't realize that the world wasn't so black and white when it came to gender yet.

Ranma listened to what Nier had to explain patiently, though she did hope onto a nearby fence and stand on it crouched. She was just more comfortable in higher places, but she was still only a couple of feet away from Nier. She followed the girl's finger when she pointed to the supposed arena. "That so...? Well, maybe I'll head out there one day."

The mention of melancholy had her curious. Ranma could be insensitive, but she could also tell when someone was trying their best. Nier didn't seem like the type of person that would immediately bounce back if she accidentally said something insensitive like Akane or Shampoo, so she was being extra careful with her words.

She hopped off the fence and stood up straight with her arms behind her back. "Yeah! Good for you! I don't know a single thing about this place, so good thing I bumped into you. Thanks!" She turned to walk away, but stopped after a few steps and looked over her shoulder. "Know anywhere to eat that's closer? You wanna get a bite with me?"

Her eyes sparkle with the other girl's offer, and Nier nods. "Well, if you're sure... I'll definitely call on you. There's a lot of people in this city, but I haven't met anyone who was especially interested in gardening..."

Even if it's selfish, Nier would like to show the Captain something she tended with her own hands. Something that would impress them, maybe even amaze them. Something that would put their attention on her, for all the care and love she put into the plants. And if they saw she was capable of that, then...

She blinks a few times, drawn from her reverie. "O-oh, um... I wasn't thinking about something like that, but rather..."

Hands linked, the feeling of fingers against her palm. Gentle steps through the fields, the scent of flowers wafting up through the air. Sun shining down on them, smiles on their lips, drawing closer and closer until-

"I-I mean!" Nier realizes she's shouting, and shakes her head, still feeling heat on her cheeks. "I mean, I-I hadn't considered it. I'm not against it, but... I don't know much about it."

She looks to Ereshkigal, tilting her head. "I know that there's a certain art to it... Do you know flower arranging, Ereshkigal?"

"If you need any help with it another time I don't mind lending a hand. But it might be smart just for now rather then pushing it."

Granted it was just a little cut and seemingly she had been put through a ringer with Death of all things. A little thing like this probably wasn't enough to put the young girl down but better safe then sorry...

"That's...really thoughtful of you." Though she didn't want to be the bearer of bad news in saying that there wasn't any guarantee anyone could arrive here. Still having a nice dream was better then being miserable without one at all. "Were you thinking of a big bouquet? At a a time like this there's plenty of combinations that could suit what you want. Really I think it just comes down to how much time you'd want to put into it."

Since I'm busy with college and reorganizing a lot of stuff in my life, I wouldn't be online so much. I do post art and other content related to my current interest out of a whim. If I ever managed to make something I feel is interesting to me, I hope it would surprise you as it's made as chaotic entertainment that's probably made to make you smile.

Worker drones were made to obey humans. Of course, this particular command line had long been excised, rendered useless by the sudden lack of humans on Copper 9, but somewhere deep in Nier's programming, there is a desire to be wanted. To be needed, to be necessary. To do well and be kept around, maybe even rewarded if she performs exceptionally. It was a process she was gently and not-so-gently reminded of repeatedly by her parents until their untimely demise. If Nier were a little more introspective, she might think that this severe-looking woman reminded her of her mother.

"Oh, um I-I should be okay for a few more hours with that, so long as everything stays normal..." She doesn't expand on what 'normal' means, as she's been told that oversharing is just as bad as undersharing. "It's just... Something happened, and it affected my consumption rate. That, um... Happens, sometimes."

The lack of dust doesn't help with that; when she can't afford oil, Nier can usually scavenge some from a dumpster or scrapyard, but she's been having difficulty finding any lately. Things like that simply happen sometimes, the city is always shifting in ways she can't predict, just like her own self. She looks up at the woman with wide eyes, because while a bottle of oil is already a dear kindness, offering even more makes Nier's core thrum in her chest. It's something she's still not totally used to, how kind the people of this city are compared to the inhabitants of Outpost 13.

"I-I'm Nier!" she says, more loudly than she intended. Her cheeks color as she holds a hand to her mouth, and then bows her head again. "S-sorry, I didn't mean to shout... But you'd really do that for me? You really don't need to, but... thank you."

And now she smiles, a soft little thing on her lips as her body finally relaxes. Whatever happens, she's being taken care of now, even if it means traveling into the intimidating upper levels of Fibonacci. Some part of her thinks it's not appropriate for her to be there, but in the company of this woman, surely it would be fine.

She steps a little closer, wringing her hands before her chest. "I'll just follow you, then... Don't worry, I'm faster than I look..."

Amidst the whirring of a system that is seconds away from shutting down, it was hard to tell what that robot had replied with, but she could make out just about enough to tell that it wasn't an ambush, thankfully. At the very least, she doesn't need to be too concerned of bad company showing up while she is distracted with this… upon closer inspection, rather human-like robot, especially as it plead for her not to leave. Huh. The wonders of radial island.

While she wasn't surprised to see the flip in demeanour over the offered oil, it did surprise her a tad to see just how swiftly the bottle vanished from her hands, as the stranger consumed it — with the packaging. "Ah." That's certainly one method to prevent public littering.

Interesting, was it, to observe not just the warnings fading out, but the parts she previously found strange for their non-metallic attributes, now retracting, too. She was staring attentively, and — was that eye-contact she'd make with the tail? Strange. "Seems like you've run out of oil, but I lack any further details."

Jay stood up when she did, dusting off her shoulders in an unperturbed manner while waiting for the poor drone to regain her balance. "You have not," she'd confirm. "No need to thank me."

What an apologetic little girl. Jay may not have an issue with it, but surely enough, no one starts off this anxious; it raises the question of what caused it in the first place. Not that such kind of information is any of her business, let alone of importance— but even a woman like herself cannot help but be curious about the little things, sometimes. "Not so fast. First things first; how much time did the bottle supply you with? I'd be surprised if one alone somehow matches your usual, expected quota."

If she intends on finding out anything from this girl, she'd better first guarantee there'll be no encore; her briefcase only carried one bottle. "What is your name? Let's get you out of here. We'll get you more oil at a business on a floor higher up."

It'll be a quick find. Jay had long familiarized herself with the businesses in level 1, in the interest of her… side-hustle in trade. Where you can find weapons and machinery, oil couldn't be much further. "Don't worry about dust; it's on me."

What are 5 characters that you really want to see in the next Super Smash Bros game?

What are 5 characters that you really want to see in the next Super Smash Bros game? New characters in Smash is always going to be an interesting topic, and it's always fun to hear about people's wanted characters, as there are so many different cool and interesting options to choose from.The way i wanted to do this question is that you either choose 5 characters that you want to see appear in a future game, no limits (it has to be a gaming character) and if you want you can also explain why you would want said character.However it would also be interesting if you were limited to 3 Nintendo characters (1st or 2nd party) and 2 3rd party characters, basically any non Nintendo character across gaming.Following the 2nd option, these are the 5 characters that i most want to see getting into the next Smash game.King Boo. Out of all my top 5 favorite Mario characters, 3 of them are already in Smash (Diddy Kong, Yoshi and Rosalina), so i'm only missing 2. Out of either Koopa Troopa or King Boo, i feel like King Boo would be a better option. He would representer the Luigi's Mansion games and would give us a ghost character, which i'm suprised we haven't had already. He could have moves based on attacks in his boss fights, but also moves based on other Boos and their abilities.Wolf Link and Midna. Twilight Princess was my first ever Zelda game, so it holds a special place in my heart. Midna is also my favorite character in all of Zelda, and i really enjoyed playing as Wolf Link. They would also be a new quadroped character, which we don't really have that many off. The only problem i have is that we would then technicaly have 4 Links, however seeing as Wolf Link plays a lot differently than the other Links, it shouldn't be a issue.Marianne from Fire Emblem 3 Houses. Now i know how the Smash community thinks about Fire Emblem characters, however it isn't really fair in my opinion. The problem is that they tend to choose the main characters of each Fire Emblem title, and most of them are sword users. So instead i decided on taking a non-main character, and took my favorite Fire Emblem character, being Marianne. In the game, she is a magic user with a large array of spells available. Honestly a lot of Fire Emblem characters could be turned into cool characters, however i decided to go with my favorite.2B. Nier Automata was an amazing game, and was a real hidden gem in my opinion, and the moment i finished it, 2B became my most wanted character to appear in the next Smash game. Nier Automata has a wide variety of weapons and attacks that would fit perfectly into a moveset. Idealy, i would want 9S and A2 to be playable to, with them serving as a trio, similar to the Pokemon Trainer, however 2B is good enough for me.The Survivor from Ark Survival Evolved. Ark was an amazing game that i put hours upon hours into, and it was a blast playing it with my friends. There are so many different weapons and gadgets in the game that could be turned into a cool moveset. We don't really have that many open world survival game characters (aside from Steve), so it would be cool to see another character represent this genre of games. L’insensé dit en son cœur ; il n’y a point de Dieu. ! Psaume 14.1

Celui que le psalmiste qualifie d’insensé n’est pas celui qui se dit seulement athée, mais celui qui le serait de conviction intérieure. Car il y a diverses sortes d’athées.

Ceux que troublent certains faits difficiles à concilier avec l’existence d’un Dieu forcément juste et bon, s���il existe. D’autres ayant cru, mais tombés dans le doute parce que leurs prières sont demeurées inexaucées. On les comprend et l’on espère que Dieu se manifestera à eux.

Mais certains disent ne pas y croire pour tenter de se persuader qu’il n’existe pas, afin de vivre à leur propre guise sans avoir à tenir compte d’un Dieu quelconque. Pourtant ne savent-ils pas, au fond d’eux-mêmes, que Dieu existe ? Ne tentent-ils pas de faire taire leur conscience, que Dieu a mise en eux ?

Quand quelqu’un nous affirme qu’il ne peut nier l’existence de Dieu, mais qu’il « a fait le choix de ne pas y croire », que pouvons-nous répondre ? Pleinement responsable d’un choix qui n’a d’autre raison que d’avoir été voulu, une telle personne nous laisse sans argument ! Pourrait-on lui citer le psalmiste ci-dessus ? Elle ne dit pas qu’il n’y a pas de Dieu. Elle choisit seulement de ne pas y croire, autrement dit, de vivre sans lui. Ce serait terrible si un lecteur faisait ce choix !

Puisse chacun de nous faire le choix inverse : ouvrir son cœur à la lumière de l’Évangile !

Her ears droop a little; it had taken her some time to finally find this place, and the last thing she wanted was to stay out all day trying to find what she was looking for.

"Is that so? This place is so large, I just assumed they'd also have a selection that's more... contemporary. I don't usually come here, the fairies are always so... they're very mean to me."

She should do something about it, next time.

"Golden..." she echoes. "I think they have me living there now... I guess I don't know the area well enough yet." She hangs her shoulders, preparing to leave when the man offers her some of his own collection. Immediately, her demeanor changes; to be extended such kindness, such thoughtfulness, is pure bliss.

She steps forward, ears flicking. "A-are you sure? That's very kind of you to offer. I wouldn't want to impose, but if you're sure..."

The grand hall of this library was honestly impressive, even more so than the one back in Aster's mansion. Sometimes he couldn't help but wonder if people ever dropped books into the fountain.... Selection wise... well, Eiden would probably head over to the Golden Ward for more fun reading but sometimes it was fun to find old, kind of ancient looking adult items and other courses of his own interests - or just bring his own reading. To his knowledge it wasn't forbidden

...so in other words definitely not anything he could pass over to this girl here.

Romance though... The ancient texts did sprawl with beliefs of effects of certain flowers and then some things he was unable decipher - basically what seemed old hexes or folk beliefs. It's not exactly his field of expertise but he's fairly it's not what she's looking for....
