Seph: it’s incredibly hard to get the drop on Sephiroth. Like, almost impossible. So when Cloud brakes it everyone in the training room stops. Sephiroth is teaching him, goading him really into pushing himself past his mental blocks, and he hits a nerve. He means to but he doesn’t quite expect Cloud to drop the sword and punch him. It’s unorthodox he’ll admit but He’s proud of him.

Angeal: It was and accident he swears to the goddess. He was sitting in the dark and Angeal turned the light on and Cloud startled so bad be lashed out. It was an accident.

Genesis: impulse control… hmmm yeah Cloud has it, but Genesis was bragging about being a master at defensive fight styles, so Cloud said “okay then smart ass, block this” and Genesis ✨didn’t✨. Not Clouds fault Genesis can’t block a punch from and infantry man.

Zack: It WaS aN aCcIdEnT!!!! And he still feels bad about it so don’t bring it up! He was talking to some of his squad mates and Zack suprised him by coming home early from assignment… but he snuck up on Cloud and grabbed him from behind and Cloud reacted on instinct!! Seriously don’t mention it he’ll cry 😭.

may i ask for some sweet asg moments in this trying times pretty please?

- sometimes when angeal is cooking, sephiroth or genesis will come up behind him and wrap their arms around his waist and lean their heads on his shoulder and just watch as angeal cooks, and angeal and sephiroth do the same to genesis whenever he bakes

- if its a cold day or one of them needs comfort, i fully believe they would each wrap each other in their wings, like sephiroth would comfort genesis with his wing wrapped around genesis while they hug, or genesis would wrap his wing around angeal while they cuddle in case angeal gets cold, stuff like that

- sometimes while sitting on the couch watching a movie/show, at least one of them will fall asleep with their head resting on one of the other’s shoulders, to which the one(s) still awake can’t resist taking pictures and smiling at how cute and sweet the one asleep looks

- since genesis is the shortest of the 3, he climbs angeal and sephiroth whenever he pleases, basically hanging off of them like a koala, and that is his way of “punishing” angeal and sephiroth for being taller than him (even if its not by much)

- sometimes genesis will just really need some kind of physical affection, whether its hand holding, cuddles, or anything else, and angeal and sephiroth will immediately recognize what genesis needs, even if he doesn’t say anything, and they will drop everything to give genesis what he needs

- if angeal or sephiroth has a bad day, genesis will absolutely pamper them like crazy

- they get each other silly/stupid matching items (like goofy couples shirts/keychains/stuff like that) and even if they aren’t serious gifts, even if they’re absolutely absurd, they all still cherish them nonetheless and will wear/use them whenever they’re together

- true date nights only get to happen once in a blue moon for them but when they finally get the chance to actually have a proper date night, they go all out for it! im talking full cliché cheesy date night! and each of them gets to pick out something they want to do, but since its so rare for them to get these date nights, they each pick something they think the others would want to do instead of picking for themselves (they all still have a great time though!)

- genesis loves the rain so he will always drag sephiroth and angeal outside with him while it’s raining to play in it, and sometimes angeal gets really into it too and convinces genesis or sephiroth to dance with him in the rain like a cheesy romcom! they all have to take care of each other when they all inevitably get sick though…

- when sephiroth is particularly tired and worn out, he will seek out genesis and angeal so he can lean on them/be overall more clingy and touchy than normal with them, and on even rarer occasions, he will let angeal and genesis care for him

Does TCD perform any dances or cool moves for treats? Or is he above such bribery?

He doesn't see it as bribery, more like a tribute. He entertains his subjects, and they give him a small token of their appreciation. Some of their requests seem silly to him

High five, shake hands, and roll over, but they give his people joy (and he gets treats), so he does the upon request.

When he wants a treat, he brings out the Fancy Moves.

The Skitter Dance is his go to move. The SOLDIERs can't resist the adorable way Tiny Cloud dragon skitters from side to side and does little skittering spins.

Playing Dead is a favorite among his subjects. Zack does finger guns, and Tiny Cloud dragon goes full Bollywood death scene. There is gasping, flailing, clutching of wounds, staggering, several dramatic collapses, and a few 'almost deaths' before the curtain falls on the act.

And then there is his Genesis Impression. It's just him flouncing around, and doing a few gestures and faces that are just hilariously Genesis Accurate.

He does a good Angeal, with crossed arm, often shaking his head at something, or pantomiming cooking

His Zack impression is just him acting like a dog, doing squats, and making finger guns

For Sephiroth, he just silently stands there, sometimes stabbing something, or pretends to lead an army.

What do you think is the deal with Rufus and Glen? do you think Sephiroth is pissed at his death and wants revenge on Rufus for shooting his buddy?

In theory, Glenn's story could connect with a plotline from Before Crisis, an older, previously released mobile game. One little-known fact about Rufus is that, according to BC, he was the chief informant and financier of the Avalanche headquarters, and secretly plotted against his father quite some time before the events of FFVII.

As a matter of fact, the subplot involving President ShinRA's deposition did make it into the Remake, with Rufus hurriedly summoning Turks prior to a "fortuitous" attack on ShinRA HQ by Avalanche forces. Before Crisis established that Rufus ended up identified to be the traitor, but avoided execution and public humiliation by receiving house detention under the guise of a "long-term overseas mission". It's possible that within Remake continuity a long-term overseas mission will no longer be a guise, but an actual assignment imposed on Rufus to prove his loyalties to his father and the company. Incidentally, Glenn Lodbrok's description of Rufus as a "pig-headed, daddy-hating child" suggests a link to the BC narrative.

As such, “daddy-hating" implies awareness of Rufus' long-standing desire to take over his father. Glenn could know about it only if he had been privy to the incident involving Rufus' plot, which culminated in a capture/arrest. Similarly, describing Rufus as "pig-headed" implies that he persists in something (which is deemed stupid); and we know that Rufus persisted in his plan to depose his father until the very first part of the Remake trilogy, when he essentially got what he wanted.

Keeping this plotline in mind, Glenn's gang may wind up mixed in — with certain details changing from the BC line, naturally. Perhaps Glenn's group joins the Turks in capturing Rufus, and they become disposable witnesses to be silenced. Or, if Glenn is working for Rufus, the latter devises a plan to pin the blame on the squad, thus formally evading culpability by bringing justice to a bunch of scapegoats. Essentially, it could be that Glenn's squad is forced to take the fall for Rufus, possibly under the false pretenses of harboring grudges towards their former employer and working to undermine ShinRA. In other words, they become the sacrificial lambs.

Jenovaroth impersonating Glenn also opens up a few questions interlinked with Rufus. Was Sephiroth — human Sephiroth, prior to physically dying in the course of Nibelheim events — in the know of the coup Rufus attempted to orchestrate? Was he in the know of Rufus killing Glenn — which means, was he there to witness? Or is it something Jenova/Jenovaroth learned from the Lifestream or Glenn's memories? Is this actually the missing time that disturbs Tifa as she wonders what Sephiroth has been up to for the past 5 years — planning to resume the open hostilities by posing as Glenn and infiltrating Wutai's top brass?

I don't think there are personal motives at work here as much as something more sinister. Presuming that murder of Glenn is Rufus’ dirty secret, his miraculous “resurrection” is damn good leverage to use, as Rufus is not just any individual, but the head of ShinRA as an organization. Manipulating ShinRA means manipulating the entirety of their resources, including its military might.

Violence and bloodshed breeds resentment and contributes to the emergence of angry spirits. According to the Lifestream Black & White novels, Jenovaroth might be using them to destabilize Lifestream. And, as we saw in the Rebirth, there is indeed infighting within the Planet with Whispers literally appearing as white and black entities, combating each other. This is why Jenovaroth might be manipulating two nations: in order to overpower the Planet. A shrewd plan, if so, but totally in line with what we have glimpsed in Rebirth.

Additionally, the battle for Magnus Materia seemingly refers to hunting and defeating Weapons (in order to extract those humongous orbs). While on the surface it caters to both ShinRA's and Wutai's arms race, it actually serves to advance Jenovaroth's plans to weaken the Planet by removing its defenses.

I recall someone around Tumblr made a big post earlier this year all about Mario being a ferally stubborn "hold my beer" guy, with one of the things stated he'd do being going around in his underwear or less out of spite. Was that post real someone on Tumblr made, or did I imagine it? Because imagine there's at least one or two nudist/clothing-optional beaches somewhere around the Mushroom Kingdom that exist as such purely because Mario.

But regarding the subject of underwear Mario and nudist beaches :

Mario definitely rescued a beach resort/city in just his underwear (maybe not naked because of kids, but close), and as he acted the whole time as there was nothing wrong with it, instead of looking ashamed and flustered, the resort's owners/city council assumed he liked walking around in underwear, and decided to set up a nudist beach so he would be comfortable the next time he came around.

Mario has no idea it even happened. The next time he came back to the resort with his friends, it didn't even occur to him that Pasta Beach was named after his pasta-printed swimtrunks he wore when he saved the day.

Also : remember back in 2017 when everyone went insane at the announcement of Mario in swimtrunks and showing off his chest?

I like to think this would be an in-universe reaction to Mario taking off his iconic overalls to go swimming.

Technically Shinra sent invitations, not orders, to their people for such an event. However, Sephiroth is all but physically pushed into attending since his very presence raises views, ratings, attendee attendance, donations to various charities, etc.

Legally and publicly Sephiroth is not allowed to speak of his parentage. No questions, no memories, no nothing. So Sephiroth is forced to sit in the audience as each and every employee speaks of their own mothers and how great and loving and there for them and caring and irreplaceable their mothers are. Camera crews love getting shots of Sephiroth because, again, ratings. Getting every Sephiroth fan club to watch kind of requires Sephiroth.

He is a statue the entire event. His slit eyes never move from the speaker podium. Occasionally his eye twitches ever so slightly, his hands tense, an expression no one can decipher long stuck on his face. Every word sinks deep into him no matter how much he denies it. There is nothing he can do but watch.

Even when the speeches end, Sephiroth remains in his seat until Shinra's event committee begins packing away the chairs and tables. He leaves silently, like a gust of wind, as he passes through the halls and staircases without a single word.

After these events, he sits on his bed with every door of his apartment locked, and he shakes and trembles silently until emotional exhaustion finally claims him, yanking him into dreaded dreams acting out what he perceives a Mother is truly like. He goes back to his work the next day, and everyone is none the wiser.

You know what I need? S &A spoiling Genesis and doing his every whim and then be like "smh genesis you are so spoiled" but the moment someone else calls Genesis spoiled and/or a brat they're ready to draw blood

omg absolutely!!! they will not hesitate to defend genesis no matter what! if its someone closer to asg they aren’t in as much danger but they will get somewhat grumpily “teased” mercilessly by angeal and sephiroth to get back at them. if its someone not close to asg though, and they’re actually being kinda mean to genesis, angeal and sephiroth are immediately grabbing and white knuckling the handles of their swords

there was definitely a time zack heard sephiroth/angeal very fondly tell genesis that they spoil him too much, and zack butted in and agreed, telling them that they’re turning genesis into even more of a spoiled brat than he already was, and he has never gotten such a scary death glare from sephiroth and angeal before, and he definitely got an insane lecture later that night in which all of his own flaws and insecurities were fair game for angeal to make jabs about

there has also been times where someone like lazard would jokingly tell angeal and sephiroth not to spoil genesis even more than they already do, and they cant do anything because lazard is their superior but they will glare and spitefully pamper genesis in retaliation

Sephiroth had made reasonably quick work on his front, taking on a squad all his own as was expected. He hadn't been intimidated, he never truly was. But, getting used to working with Lodbrok and his team, it was.... Well, not hard, not difficult, he could...handle it, but it was simply...off, to not be closer so that he could be there to fight by their sides.

So, though few would notice given his cool features and mostly tamed movement as he wandered back to base to assess their progress, he was eager and a tad impatient. He had every confidence they were either back already, too, or would be soon.

What he hadn't expected however...was to find Glenn, laid up in the recovery tent. The tame steps turned into a sprint, until the young warrior was at the mans side, nudging past some of the medical attendants.

"Glenn, what happened...?!" he demanded, voice a little shaky, trying to get a look at their notes, but he was only asked to calm down, which he wasn't listening to. It wasn't the first time he'd seen anyone on the team injured, but this... The man looked like he had at least one or two broken bones, and quite a bit of scarring, it was hard to tell if he'd faced human enemies or friends. Or both. Glenn was certainly fool enough to face both. His voice became more serious. "Who did this...?"

He barely heard any explanations, from the attendants or from Glenn himself, all he could do was stare at the injuries. Injuries that could've been avoided if he was there. Injuries that could have been avoided if these battles didn't keep devolving into horrible extremes. Injuries he just...couldn't take.

Blue green eyes turned a bit colder, the voices speaking to him turning into more and more of a muddled jumble. "...I will return." he looked to the nurse. "Take care of him."

And then he turned, intent on seeking out the ones to blame. If anyone was left, Sephiroth would make short work of them.
