As I said, not my cup of tea. Crisis Core never managed to sell me Sephiroth's friendship with Angeal and Genesis due to how little shared screen time they get together; players are forced to fill in the blanks based on few exchanges. Which makes it more of a plot device rather than an organic part of characters portrayal. So far, First Soldier hasn't either in regards to Sephiroth's and Angeal's relationship. We'll see how that unfolds.

Seph: it’s incredibly hard to get the drop on Sephiroth. Like, almost impossible. So when Cloud brakes it everyone in the training room stops. Sephiroth is teaching him, goading him really into pushing himself past his mental blocks, and he hits a nerve. He means to but he doesn’t quite expect Cloud to drop the sword and punch him. It’s unorthodox he’ll admit but He’s proud of him.

Angeal: It was and accident he swears to the goddess. He was sitting in the dark and Angeal turned the light on and Cloud startled so bad be lashed out. It was an accident.

Genesis: impulse control… hmmm yeah Cloud has it, but Genesis was bragging about being a master at defensive fight styles, so Cloud said “okay then smart ass, block this” and Genesis ✨didn’t✨. Not Clouds fault Genesis can’t block a punch from and infantry man.

Zack: It WaS aN aCcIdEnT!!!! And he still feels bad about it so don’t bring it up! He was talking to some of his squad mates and Zack suprised him by coming home early from assignment… but he snuck up on Cloud and grabbed him from behind and Cloud reacted on instinct!! Seriously don’t mention it he’ll cry 😭.

i do :) fun fact when i first got into ff7 in early-middle october i had friends betting on me becoming obsessed with genesis. suffice to say they were correct, i think about him on the daily. genesis is by far the character i have the most thoughts about, followed by sephiroth, angeal and cloud. feel free to ask more specific or pointed questions and i'll be happy to answer, but in the meantime

genesis has borderline personality disorder (mixed/unspecified subtype), with his primary favourite person being angeal and secondary favourite person being sephiroth. he internalises most of the actual distress, being incredibly self-destructive about it (additional mini-headcanon: genesis develops a smoking habit once he's a soldier because he knows it can't harm him but it's therapeutic in a way). being dramatic is of course part of his public persona, but he's only really dramatic and whiny about minor things that don't truly upset him. the paranoia and fear of angeal or sephiroth abandoning him terrifies him, and is a large part of his mental declines as his degradation continues

additionally i think he fits the diagnostic criteria of bipolar I (bipolar with associated psychosis through mania). he experiences extreme highs and extreme lows in his mood and altered perception of reality. during his high highs he gets so much done, writing essays about loveless and strengthening materia and he's so alive the world is wonderful. but his low-lows are punishing and the only thing keeping him going is his fixation on angeal and sephiroth. his obsession with loveless especially as he degrades can also be seen as a delusion, his fixed belief that the tale is about him, sephiroth and angeal specifically

sephiroth is an ocd poster child (headcanon first introduced to me by @queered-into-oblivion , i haven't actually made many thoughts of my own on this yet but it's true). i also think he has unspecified psychosis, partially from the sheer trauma he went through in his 'childhood'. i also think jenova has influenced him from a very young age (as now seen in first soldier canon), but with it becoming unbearable when he goes to nibelheim. he does not of course suspect jenova to be behind some of the psychosis (additional mini-headcanon: jenova cannot create symptoms that aren't already there, she exacerbates sephiroth's psychosis because he already presents with psychotic symptoms). also, dissociative identity disorder. from the trauma (i will elaborate on this in a separate post)

angeal is complicated for me because i have a lot of thoughts on him but i really really struggle to put them into words. he definitely has one of the worst cases of (survivor's) guilt i have ever seen, caused by the death of his father. he does not cope with this. he already felt like a drain on his parents for their economic status (main reason for joining shinra) but after his father's death he spends the rest of his life attempting to atone for the crime of his existence causing suffering. it's not the only reason he takes on zack as his mentee, but it definitely contributes to it. major depressive disorder definitely. and ptsd. they all have ptsd let's be real

does anyone kiss TCD, not romantically, but because he is a cute dragon? And how does he react?

Kisses abound! TCD is so cute, the SOLDIERs can't help but give kisses.

Zack will just randomly scoop the tiny dragon up and start smothering him with kisses. This smol babey must be shown that he is loved! It's been thirty minutes since he's last given kisses! That is way too long! Let me love you!

Angeal prefers to sprinkle the kisses throughout the day, using them like seasoning to make the day better! You can't just dump every seasoning into a dish all at once. You have to use some at the start, some in the middle, and some at the end.

Sephiroth gives the little cutie kisses whenever he can get him away from Zack. He shows incredible restraint by limiting his kisses to one or two before letting TCD go. He is always thrilled, though, when the tiny dragon decides to sit on him, purring, to take a short nap.

Genesis will give kisses when he gets a moment alone. He's like that dad that swears they don't like or want a cat, but then fall head over heels in love with a kitten and refuses to admit it. He will sneak in after everyone has gone to bed and give Tiny Cloud dragon goodnight kisses.

Zack can be a little over enthusiastic, but that's just because he loves him so much! The energetic barrage of kisses always gives him the zoomies.

Angeal gives off Mom Energy with is kisses, which gives Cloud the warm fuzzy feelings. It's nice to be hovered over sometimes!

Sephiroth brings the calm, serene energy, which is a nice contrast to Zack's sometimes overwhelming energy. It gives him little moments of peace where he can just relax and drift off into a quick nap.

Genesis's kisses make Tiny Cloud dragon happy. His kisses are few, but that just makes them even more special!

If AGS(ZC?) were blades, what would they be?

Ooo thanks for the ask! Well I’ve said things before about how fitting their weapons are for them, so here I’ll branch out from that—this’ll probably be more based on fighting styles I’m more familiar with than anything else so it may stray a bit but I will try to keep to the spirit of the question lol

Angeal: Sword and shield/buckler. There’s the defensive aspect that fits him so well, what with his desire to shield his sword from wear tear and rust, and the drive to protect his loved ones. It also, in my experience, requires quite a bit of discipline when fighting with sword and buckler to remember to keep them together so your opponent can’t slip through your guard.

Genesis: Rapier and dagger. He would love the showiness of how dual wielding looks, and this is really the only practical way to do that—also requires a lot of dexterity and intelligence to have the dagger where it should be to be effective, which Genesis has loads of!

Sephiroth: Longsword! It’s very versatile, which is something I think fits him, since of the Firsts Angeal clearly focuses on strength and Genesis speed/magic while Sephiroth doesn’t have an obvious specific thing like that (at least that I’ve picked up on, he just seems to be nonspecifically better at everything lol). When fighting with longsword, you spend a lot of time in the bind (when the swords are pressed together and you’re trying to wind your sword into a better position to both protect yourself and get at your opponent), and it can be a very good example of the intimacy of violence type thing, I think insane seph would get a kick out of smiling creepily at Cloud from way into his personal space lol. Also it’s very much in the typical hero imagery realm of blades

Zack: Saber I think? He’s a hard one. But I have this friend who loves to do this funny hop hop slash thing on one leg that I very much think is something Zack would be addicted to doing lol

Cloud: Weird one time, khopesh (egyptian sickle-sword for those who do not know). I’ve played with them a little, and from what we were able to figure out, a lot of the swordplay relies on being able to trap your opponent’s blade in its hook, which gives me the same vibes as his over-the-top puzzle sword! It’s very fun to use, and I feel like the strategy of it fits him.

Oops that may have strayed slightly into more answering ‘what style of blade would they fight with’ than what they would actually be, but honestly I’d say they pretty much already are the human versions of the weapons they wield for the reasons I’ve said in the posts I linked at the top. I didn’t go into as much detail with Genesis as I did for the others though, so here:

Rapier fits Genesis so well even outside its perfect match for his style of fighting. Rapiers are much thinner than other weapons, and as such they require a high level of dexterity and control to wield properly—often you can get a hit from a slight movement to barely slip past your opponent’s guard, rather than relying on brute force. They’re often the most stylish blades, with all the different parts that make up a rapier’s hilt—showy, but deadly all the same. Rapiers are often associated with nobility, as well, wielded by learned gentlemen of high class. Just like Genesis fr

may i ask for some sweet asg moments in this trying times pretty please?

- sometimes when angeal is cooking, sephiroth or genesis will come up behind him and wrap their arms around his waist and lean their heads on his shoulder and just watch as angeal cooks, and angeal and sephiroth do the same to genesis whenever he bakes

- if its a cold day or one of them needs comfort, i fully believe they would each wrap each other in their wings, like sephiroth would comfort genesis with his wing wrapped around genesis while they hug, or genesis would wrap his wing around angeal while they cuddle in case angeal gets cold, stuff like that

- sometimes while sitting on the couch watching a movie/show, at least one of them will fall asleep with their head resting on one of the other’s shoulders, to which the one(s) still awake can’t resist taking pictures and smiling at how cute and sweet the one asleep looks

- since genesis is the shortest of the 3, he climbs angeal and sephiroth whenever he pleases, basically hanging off of them like a koala, and that is his way of “punishing” angeal and sephiroth for being taller than him (even if its not by much)

- sometimes genesis will just really need some kind of physical affection, whether its hand holding, cuddles, or anything else, and angeal and sephiroth will immediately recognize what genesis needs, even if he doesn’t say anything, and they will drop everything to give genesis what he needs

- if angeal or sephiroth has a bad day, genesis will absolutely pamper them like crazy

- they get each other silly/stupid matching items (like goofy couples shirts/keychains/stuff like that) and even if they aren’t serious gifts, even if they’re absolutely absurd, they all still cherish them nonetheless and will wear/use them whenever they’re together

- true date nights only get to happen once in a blue moon for them but when they finally get the chance to actually have a proper date night, they go all out for it! im talking full cliché cheesy date night! and each of them gets to pick out something they want to do, but since its so rare for them to get these date nights, they each pick something they think the others would want to do instead of picking for themselves (they all still have a great time though!)

- genesis loves the rain so he will always drag sephiroth and angeal outside with him while it’s raining to play in it, and sometimes angeal gets really into it too and convinces genesis or sephiroth to dance with him in the rain like a cheesy romcom! they all have to take care of each other when they all inevitably get sick though…

- when sephiroth is particularly tired and worn out, he will seek out genesis and angeal so he can lean on them/be overall more clingy and touchy than normal with them, and on even rarer occasions, he will let angeal and genesis care for him

What do you think is the deal with Rufus and Glen? do you think Sephiroth is pissed at his death and wants revenge on Rufus for shooting his buddy?

In theory, Glenn's story could connect with a plotline from Before Crisis, an older, previously released mobile game. One little-known fact about Rufus is that, according to BC, he was the chief informant and financier of the Avalanche headquarters, and secretly plotted against his father quite some time before the events of FFVII.

As a matter of fact, the subplot involving President ShinRA's deposition did make it into the Remake, with Rufus hurriedly summoning Turks prior to a "fortuitous" attack on ShinRA HQ by Avalanche forces. Before Crisis established that Rufus ended up identified to be the traitor, but avoided execution and public humiliation by receiving house detention under the guise of a "long-term overseas mission". It's possible that within Remake continuity a long-term overseas mission will no longer be a guise, but an actual assignment imposed on Rufus to prove his loyalties to his father and the company. Incidentally, Glenn Lodbrok's description of Rufus as a "pig-headed, daddy-hating child" suggests a link to the BC narrative.

As such, “daddy-hating" implies awareness of Rufus' long-standing desire to take over his father. Glenn could know about it only if he had been privy to the incident involving Rufus' plot, which culminated in a capture/arrest. Similarly, describing Rufus as "pig-headed" implies that he persists in something (which is deemed stupid); and we know that Rufus persisted in his plan to depose his father until the very first part of the Remake trilogy, when he essentially got what he wanted.

Keeping this plotline in mind, Glenn's gang may wind up mixed in — with certain details changing from the BC line, naturally. Perhaps Glenn's group joins the Turks in capturing Rufus, and they become disposable witnesses to be silenced. Or, if Glenn is working for Rufus, the latter devises a plan to pin the blame on the squad, thus formally evading culpability by bringing justice to a bunch of scapegoats. Essentially, it could be that Glenn's squad is forced to take the fall for Rufus, possibly under the false pretenses of harboring grudges towards their former employer and working to undermine ShinRA. In other words, they become the sacrificial lambs.

Jenovaroth impersonating Glenn also opens up a few questions interlinked with Rufus. Was Sephiroth — human Sephiroth, prior to physically dying in the course of Nibelheim events — in the know of the coup Rufus attempted to orchestrate? Was he in the know of Rufus killing Glenn — which means, was he there to witness? Or is it something Jenova/Jenovaroth learned from the Lifestream or Glenn's memories? Is this actually the missing time that disturbs Tifa as she wonders what Sephiroth has been up to for the past 5 years — planning to resume the open hostilities by posing as Glenn and infiltrating Wutai's top brass?

I don't think there are personal motives at work here as much as something more sinister. Presuming that murder of Glenn is Rufus’ dirty secret, his miraculous “resurrection” is damn good leverage to use, as Rufus is not just any individual, but the head of ShinRA as an organization. Manipulating ShinRA means manipulating the entirety of their resources, including its military might.

Violence and bloodshed breeds resentment and contributes to the emergence of angry spirits. According to the Lifestream Black & White novels, Jenovaroth might be using them to destabilize Lifestream. And, as we saw in the Rebirth, there is indeed infighting within the Planet with Whispers literally appearing as white and black entities, combating each other. This is why Jenovaroth might be manipulating two nations: in order to overpower the Planet. A shrewd plan, if so, but totally in line with what we have glimpsed in Rebirth.

Additionally, the battle for Magnus Materia seemingly refers to hunting and defeating Weapons (in order to extract those humongous orbs). While on the surface it caters to both ShinRA's and Wutai's arms race, it actually serves to advance Jenovaroth's plans to weaken the Planet by removing its defenses.
