i CANNOT stop thinking about musical falls. GENUINELY. it rotted my brain. SO! i've spent a bit of time doodling and coming up with ideas for how BILL would be presented on stage.

firstly, we have 2-D Bill/Pre-Weirdmageddon Bill. the idea i had for this form is that we'd use a spotlight tinted with a yellow gel and on top of that there'd be a gobo (stencil) of Bill's triangular form.

(examples of how that'd look onstage)

pros- spotlights can effortlessly move around stage without physically interfering with actors, also it mirrors how in the show, he's limited to the mindscape and how he doesn't have a physical form yadda yadda yadda (you get my idea)

cons- not much movement/expression. also kind of a disembodied voice? Bill is very expressive so it'd be hard to showcase something like that on a cut out stencil of him.

ANOTHER IDEA (i just had now as i'm writing this): Bill projection !!

so, it'd be a projected image of Bill which would be able to be animated so THAT solves the issue of the previous idea. plus i'm sure there'd be a way to move the projection around the stage if needed.

uhhh anyways !! back to my original ideas !!!!

obviously everything i've just mentioned is for 2-D Bill, but HERE is where it gets exciting. when Bill gains his physical form during Weirdmageddon.

so, when Bill gains a physical form, i had 3 ideas:

IDEA 1- Lin Manuel Miranda as Bill.

now, in my previous post about musical falls, i was kind of /j ing the idea, but i think it'd be genuinely hilarious. imagine this, duing the whole musical, bill is this 2-dimensional projection, kinda eerie. makes you think "how is he gonna look once he gains a physical body?" then BOOM its Lin Manuel Miranda. obviously his costume would be a waistcoat and jacket combo (something similar to how i drew him in my past post) but yeah. that's really the only reason. it'd be funny. idk.

IDEA 2- Puppet Bill.

this Bill would be more canon-accurate, still in his triangle form, except he'd be puppeted by someone. now, this comes with the same problem as gobo-bill. LACK OF EXPRESSION. he's stuck to one emotion/"facial" expression. (also i have no idea how puppets work. if anyone with more knowledge than me wants to add on/constructively criticise, you're welcome to!) i didn't really expand/think too much about this idea either soooo.....

IDEA 3 (my favourite)-

drag. bill.

i really like this idea. now, i'm no costume designer, nor do i do drag (so apologies if i've gotten anything wrong) but i think this would be something really cool to see on stage. the shape language of the costume, alongside a gorgeous makeup look, AS WELL as it being a real person acting, really feels like a good direction to go in, as it would allow full movement, gestures, and expressions !! (hooray!!) also i really need to see an awesome Bill-inspired drag look onstage. it'd be awesome.

So the past.... Month. Has been very eventful. Coping with a rough break up, work being hard. I'm almost 21 I kinda figured it'd be rough being in my 20s. I really was expecting it to be the end of the world, but then I made a really good choice.

I joined a few discord servers over this month, and I can't begin to explain just how wonderful that's been for my mental health.

The green strands of cloth stood out among the darker colors, the face expressing a soft smile, much like her own.

(S/O) "Do you like it?"

(M4A1) "I love it, what's the occasion?"

(S/O) "Just...a charm I guess, for good luck. If I made you anything to take out in the field, it'd probably get damaged, so I figured I could make something in your dorm!"

(M4A1) "I'll make sure to take good care of it!"

M4 has the plushie in between a picture of her and S/O and one of the AR Team.

STAR chuckles when S/O hands her a plushie of herself, noting how comfortable it felt in her hands. Well, her sensors anyway.

There was something endearing about human handmade items rather than factory produced.

(ST AR-15) "Quite the striking resemblance."

STAR remarks in an amused tone as soon as she notices the plushie with a very annoyed look.

(S/O) "Had to stare at my reference quite a bit."

(ST AR-15) "Heh, so I've noticed. I'll make sure it doesn't get dusty."

STAR hides the plushie under her blanket, not wanting to get teased by the rest of the AR Team, specifically by M16A1 or SOPMOD.

SOPMOD squeals upon seeing her plushie, squeezing it tightly and then admiring the little details.

Her face was possibly the most expressive she had seen, the eyes were giant white circles, and the mouth was a smug squiggle.

(S/O) "Like it?"

(SOPMOD) "LOVE IT! It's soooo cute!"

She quickly takes S/O into a hug, one that threatened to be spine shattering with how hard she held them.

(SOPMOD) "I wish I could take it with me into battle, but it'll watch over me when I go to sleep!"

SOPMOD holds onto it when she sleeps with zero shame in whoever sees it, bragging about S/O's craftsmanship to any T-Doll or human personnel who asks about it.

M16's eye goes wide as she sees what S/O has given to her.

The plushie was lovingly recreated, the scar and eyepatch were there, so was her case, and a tiny bottle of jack daniel's in its hand.

Though the facial expression made her look drunk, which wasn't entirely inaccurate.

(M16A1) "Do I really look like that when I drink?"

(S/O) "Eh, not really. Figured I'd take some artistic liberties, so to speak."

(M16A1) "I think it made the end result better."

She laughs and kisses her S/O on the cheek.

(M16A1) "Little me is cute, thanks S/O!"

The plushie sits next to M16's pillow in the dorm, showing it off to M4A1 and excitedly talking about how awesome it was to her.

RO is immediately flustered when S/O presents a tinier version of herself.

(RO635) "W-What is this?"

(S/O) "It's a tinier you!"

She admires how much of her features transferred over to such a small stuffed toy, but she can't help but be a bit shy as well.

That meant that was a lot of time staring at her when she didn't realize and other T-Dolls certainly have.

She bashfully accepts the gift and making sure to smile. RO was genuinely happy to receive something so thoughtful, and it made her start thinking of how to pay S/O back immediately.

(RO635) "I'll treasure it always, S/O. J-Just, please don't mention this to the rest of the AR Team, okay?"

RO makes sure to hide where only she can see it and no one else can ever find it. She would not be able to live down M16 seeing her with something so..."cutesy", as M16 would say.

45 starts laughing the moment S/O presents a miniature version of herself.

A whole plushie of herself kind of defeats the point of being in a Black Ops Unit, seeing as she wasn't supposed to exist in any capacity.

But, she's willing to make an exception.

(UMP45) "Heh, even the plush looks smug."

(S/O) "I wonder where it got that from?"

(UMP45) "Couldn't say.~"

She makes sure to take care of the plush whenever she's back in her dorm, finding herself staring at it with a soft smile more than once.

UMP9 gasps in excitement the moment she lays her eyes on the plush, inspecting it with great enthusiasm as she made sure to stand close to S/O.

(UMP9) "Oh, you even got my hair right! And the smile is really cute too!"

(S/O) "I had to make sure to get the most important details, after all!"

She gives S/O a big hug as she continues to admire the plush.

(UMP9) "I love it! Now, how about I try to make a plushie of you? That way tiny me can have her lover too?"

(S/O) "You know how to make plush dolls?"

(UMP9) "Hm...Not really, but I'm sure I can do it if I tried hard enough!"

Upon making a quite scuffed version of S/O, she has it sit lovingly next to her own plush. Both of them always remain without a single speck of dust.

(G11) "Hm...S/O, why did you wake me u-?"

11's drowsy eyes suddenly become wide awake the moment she sees a miniature version of herself.

Slowly grabbing it and examining it, the details begin to make themselves known as she slowly wakes herself up.

(S/O) "I thought your body pillow could use a bit of company!"

(G11) "...I like it a lot."

Her voice was still very quiet, but the smile on her face was very noticeable.

(G11) "If that was it, I'll sleep with the plushie right now."

Whenever she sleeps (which was extremely often), she hugs onto the plushie, as well as her body pillow. Sometimes S/O too, if there was space.

416 says nothing as her expression quietly beams upon seeing the miniature version of herself.

Seeing how much detail was put into it, it made her quite happy. After all, a perfect T-Doll such as herself should look good in any capacity.

(S/O) "Do you like it?"

(HK416) "It is almost perfect, but there is one thing holding it back. Why is the plushie so angry looking?"

S/O just smiled at her teasingly.

(HK416) "Hey, just what exactly are you implying?"

Seeing S/O laugh at her reaction makes her pout.

(HK416) "Fine, keep your secrets then. I'll make sure your effort is not gone to waste."

The soft smile on her face as she stares at S/O's handiwork tells them what her true feelings were.

No Soul or T-Doll will ever see the plushie. If they do and bring it up to her, they'll regret it.

See, Light had been thinking about inflicting the death penalty upon criminals for a longgg time.. This is why killing came so easy to him, when he found godlike powers to kill criminals at a distance with…

There isn’t much “coping”. Light was literally mentally prepared ahead of time. In the manga.

Light all along thought that the world needed to be “cleaned up”, and that he sees people the world would be better without.

His only concern in the beginning was, could he emotionally actually carry out, what he was fantasising about the same day. ————————— Light (thought): “Well, it’s only natural. They’re human lives. Of course it isn’t easy.”

Light (thought): “Can I take it? …Maybe not.”

Light(thought): “But come on, I can’t quit. So I lose my peace of mind. So I sacrifice people’s lives…”

Light (thought): “The world needs to be cleaned up. Somebody has to do this!!” —————- So you have an analytic, idealistic, statistical, greater good focused teenager, and are you also confused by his, (what you imply to be “sudden”) shift to magically kill criminals from a distance?  Didn’t you get any clues from his eagerness to “test” the notebook on “people who deserve it”. He’s the judge? Yea, Light believes it

I think you're confusing the timeline a little bit and also buying Light's change in thinking (*because* of the first 2 kills) at its face value. I'll explain my reasoning once more by following manga!Light's thought process from before finding the Death Note, after killing 1 person , after killing a grand total of 2 people which prove that it isn't a coincidence and so on. (also linking this awesome post again).

We can't just ignore pre-Kira!Light's thoughts. Let's go~

Light, before finding the notebook, thinks 'This world is a rotten mess...' Observe closely that his thoughts do NOT go to the direction of 'the rotten people aka criminals are better off dead' OR that 'they ought to die' or whatever. He aspires to become the director of the NPA so that he can bring about a societal change.

Still, he knows that he's not that powerful to make a lasting positive change in this world. He has, afterall, seen his father doing his job for long hours with little result. In other words, Light thinks it all is futile as he's more or less powerless to change the state of the world in a way that matters in the long run. In other words, he is deeply unhappy with the current state of the world.

I'm not knowledgeable about Japan's legal system so take what I say with a grain of salt:

I'm not saying that Light is against the death penalty, just that he isn't that concerned with taking the lives of the criminals (since there's no way he, without the killer notebook, an NPA director in the future (no Kira AU), can enforce the death penalty by himself) before he found the Death Note.

He picks up the notebook -> tries it without thinking it'd actually work

He internally chides himself 'Geez, I'm getting too serious about this...' when he's trying out the Note. Light's an overthinker, that is why he went so far in thinking if he were to hypothetically kill a person- it should be a criminal (that's the result you get from an idealistic, sheltered, a bit naive teenager who hasn't quite matured past his black & white thinking, and whose role model is Soichiro who is strictly against evil).

It's not him trying to Actually kill Otoharada. I would like you to remember that Light is very skilled at rationalizing and manipulating his own thoughts. Which is why we get this, right after Light has gotten over the shock of killing Otoharada:

He's started thinking that it must be a coincidence and is preparing himself to test the Note once again to confirm it.

But just as a safety measure, y'know if the 2nd test does turn out to be awry, he has already begun thinking that maybe he was onto something when he killed Otoharada. Afterall, look at the people around you and you start to wonder that 'all you see are people the world would be better off without.'

This is an extension of the world being rotten thinking. He hasn't yet reached the thinking that 'the rotten people should die.' and that's because Light adapts his thinking according to the situation at hand for maintaining his belief that he's Righteous at all costs.

And who knows? Maybe this time, nobody will die which would mean it's a coincidence and Light isn't a murderer at all so why start thinking that they should die. He's in hypothetical realm and thus he uses the word 'would' NOT 'should'.

The thoughts of Light that you mention come later when he's already fucked up (i.e. killed 2 people and confirmed his worst fears that it wasn't a coincidence).

Light is desperate here. He cannot be evil like those murderers he killed. Remember, Light Yagami cannot make mistakes (in his eyes, at least). Which is why he attempts convincing himself that it wasn't a mistake. It was all deliberate actually.

So! The actual timeline of his thoughts goes as follows:-

'This world is a rotten mess.' (prior to finding the Note) -> 'Start looking around you...and all you see are people the world would be better off without.' (after his 1st kill(? or coincidence? from Light's POV)) -> 'This world is a rotten mess. It really needs to be cleaned up.' (after the terrible realization that he's accidentally murdered 2 people- one of which who didn't deserve the death penalty, strictly speaking.)

Notice how he goes from 'the world being rotten as a whole' (opinion) to 'the world being better off without certain people' (thinking hypothetically) to 'certain people should die' (utmost conviction).

But no killing doesn't come as naturally as you might think to Light- he loses sleep due to nightmares, loses weight, the guilt being heavy on him. Also to this, I call the defendant himself to the stand (jk jk)

Yotsuba!Light in the privacy of his own mind, thinks: 'What if, hypothetically, I had the power to kill using only a person's face and name...would I use the power to punish criminals? Certainly the world would be better without certain people. But I don't think I would go so far as to become a murderer myself to improve the world.'

If killing was that natural to Light, you'd think he'd admit it to himself (at least) the fact, no?

Going back to the previous point, Light did not think the world needed to be “cleaned up” in the beginning of the story. He just thinks the world is rotten. He makes revision/alterations in his thought process to reach the final state of thinking that certain people ought to die & he needs to clean up the world. These modifications in his thought process are done to hold the belief that he's righteous, whatever it takes.

Imagine all the things you believed in, including that you're a morally good person, are suddenly uprooted from your life just because you tried out a 'prank' and it comes horribly true. He wasn't eager to 'test' the notebook. He was bored + curious and did not think that this harmless prank would lead to anything worthwhile.

I admit that Light initially choosing someone who's okay to kill (namely, Otoharada) is sketchy as hell. But I also believe that he'd have grown past this mentality, that criminals are all evil and deserve to die, had he not found the notebook. He becomes the judge coz otherwise he'd be forced to admit that he made a terrible mistake.

That's all there it is to it. Light did NOT believe the Note would work. And he was wrong -> so he tries to make it better by thinking 'you know what? I was right! This is what I've been thinking all along.' like this is inconsistent with what Light initially thought. Just because Light's convinced himself of this lie, doesn't mean we have to too.

Unpopular opinion time:

I can not stand Nesta. She irritates me unlike any character in the Sarah J. Maas universe. I firmly believe Feyre would've been a better character to do the crossover with in House of Flame and Shadow. One of the reasons A Court of Silver Flames is my least favorite ACOTAR book (and Maas book I think) is because, again in my opinion, it really reduces Feyre's character and diminished her skills as a fighter and accomplishments in the other books. Having her be the one in HOFAS would've helped bring that back and reestablish her as a main character.

Nesta is easily one of the worst characters in the Maas universe (to me), and in all honesty, I was kinda hoping she'd die in either ACOSF or HOFAS. The only reason I'm okay with her not dying is because of how it'd hurt Cassian and Feyre. Cassian could probably do better, though.

It was very annoying when she called Bryce a monster and put her on the same level as the Asteri when just a couple pages previously she was threatening to lock Bryce up, never let her return home, and cut the Horn from her back. The Horn that is tattooed into Bryce's flesh. This is essentially her threatening to skin Bryce and then calling Bryce a monster for retaliating and leaving to save her own world. I'm not even that big of a Bryce fan, but what the hell??? Nesta is wayyy more monterous than Bryce.

In my opinion, Nesta is self-serving, egotistical, arrogant, and hypocritical. I believe she would get along just fine with the Asteri if she had met them before Bryce had told her about them. Like, if she had just walked into Midguard completely unknowing of the situation, she'd probably see no issue with the Asteri. Calling her "Queen without a throne" would only feed her ego and due to the previously mentioned characteristics I don't think she deserves the title. The only time I believe she's ever acted like a queen was when she stayed behind to fight and buy her friends time to get up the mountain. She doesn't really deserve to be a part of the Inner Court, granted I don't agree with some of their behavior/actions either, but I don't think she deserves to play a part in decision making for the Night Court. She does not deserve the House of Wind, Feyre's forgiveness, her magic, or Cassian. Cassian also treated her like crap and they are not a healthy couple or an ideal romance.

Feyre was wrong to blackmail Nesta into coming to the party by dangling her rent in front of her. But, Feyre shouldn't have been paying Nestas rent in the first place. It was wrong of Nesta to expect her sister to fund her self-desructive lifestyle and then get mad at her when Feyre didn't want to anymore. Should they have locked her in the house and forced her to change her way? Absolutely not, but they also shouldn't have had to continue to pay for her to do whatever she wanted.

There is SO MUCH MORE I could say about why I can't stand her, but I will end this rant with positives. I will give her credit where credit is due. She saved Feyre, Nyx, and Rhys. That was awesome. Does it redeem her entirely, though? Maybe, in my opinion, it was just the right thing to do. Again, she stayed behind to buy her friends time, which was admirable, and I respected that. She also gave the Mask to Bryce to help fight the Asteri. Granted, she had to be bargained with to do it, but she did it, and it was the right thing to do. So she gets that credit.

I went to bed a little later last night than I should have, but I still managed to get between 6 and 7 hours of sleep. My body is still not in a great state, but it's better than yesteday, and I'm in mostly good spirits. I'm gonna try to go to bed early-ish today. Guess we'll see how that pans out.

I mostly rested today, and that was good. I had originally planned to go to a rock and gem and mineral show nearby (literally like 5 minutes from my house!), but the thought of being in an unfamiliar place with lots of people, without J, M, or Br accompanying me seemed like a bad time. The inside of my head felt like it was full of cotton fluff anyhow, so while I'm sad that I missed out on an opportunity to check out some pretty rocks (and take pictures of said rocks for you), it's probably better that I stayed home. I even stayed home even from the awesome place today, which I feel a little sad about, but I'm not sure I would have been able to withstand the drive in any case.

I made myself some jasmine green tea this morning; it's some stuff that Br got for us, and it's fragrant and floral and absolutely delightful. I wish I could give you a mug. Alas, I cannot. But here are some pictures…

I'm sorry about that; it would have been an amazing picture.

”okay, what the hell? why're you drinkin' at six in the fuckin' mornin'?” you turn your head away as he sits at the other end of the sofa, leaning forward to talk to you. he snaps his fingers to get your attention back on him. ”nothin' j.” it's clear he doesn't believe you and with the tone you used, you didn't believe yourself either. ”are you gonna be honest and tell me or what?” it hurt to know he cared, mostly because you were so sure he wouldn't care the way you wanted him to, the way you craved for him to. if you could make yourself smaller, you would've, but all you did was lower your voice, bring your knees to your chest and place your head down. ”j, i really screwed up.” he scoffs. ”well everybody makes mistakes.”

for a minute, neither of you say anything, and all you can hear is the heater in the apartment running. ”i think i fell in love.” schlatt takes a deep breath. you can't see it with your head buried in your legs but even if you were looking at him you wouldn't be able to see the slight pang he felt in his chest at your words. ”really? how's that a bad thing?” your lift your head just a little bit and he can see how there's tears threatening to leave one of your eyes. ”because i know he'll never feel the same.” this time, it's his facial expression that just screams he's internally scoffing. ”that's fuckin' nonsense. only a fuckin' idiot would see you and not fall instantly in love with you.”

Well, out of curiosity

While promoting the prison arc there were lists of each cc's crime, some were very short while other were comically long (specially for some english speaking ccs)

So how was the process to collect and list all those crimes? Was each account responsible for their own languages' ccs? Did you share ideas between different crimes and ccs? Were you also responsible for making the illustrations in the promo? Why was q!slime not wearing the prison uniform as everyone else?

Also how dare tazercraft combined list be that small!!! /j

Sorry for rambling, i'm just very curious, while it'd be awesome to hear about any backstage workings I'd also understand if you don't want to share any details, if at all, so just feel free to ignore this ask if it's to much stuff
