None of them are a favorite of Linhardt, but she ends up taking some of the Southern Fruit Blend—so long as it wasn’t completely and utterly terrible, Lin found that most any tea could be enjoyable. In the right context.

And in this context—that is, a loud and populated ballroom wherein any and all amounts of dancing, food, and shenanigans existed—there were very few teas that Linhardt would find dislikable. With that sense, they had chosen to swipe the largest container they could manage before meandering their way to a corner of the hall.

“Oh, Sakura.” Perhaps there were people that Lin had expected to run into even less, but all the same, he’s a bit surprised. Recognizing that an entire kettle’s worth of tea generally doesn’t go unoffered, he continues, “Care for some tea?”

“Though, if you’d much rather trade brooches, that works for me as well.”

The evening proceeded quite busily for Sakura, who managed to meet new people as well as enjoying the company of old friends –and among them, the familiar call from the green-haired young boy did catch the petite priestess’ attention, who happily joined the tea session he was attending to.

“Glad to see you here as well Lin!” she enjoyed his nickname, quite short and easy to remember, “A cup of tea is perfectly fine!” she picked the first free cup she saw and while she waited for him to fill her cup, she nodded at his request. “An exchange you say?” she giggled, observing the black feather decorating his elegant outfit. She needed as well to collect some more feather, so why not helping someone else for this brilliant event? She extracted one white feather from her brooch and handed it to him, “There, now your turn” and she waited for the black feather to come.

I actually have a lot to say about this CD but I also have to hold back on a lot because I’m working on something else, and I’d rather save my thoughts for that. BTW my thoughts here are kind of unpolished.

Spoilers ahead for Momochi’s Headliner CD (not the Veronica side). 

Track 3 Days

At the end of this track kano brings up Momochi’s birthday because of the profile update for Veronica. Momochi tells her that September 20 is the birthday of “Momochi from Veronica,” not him. And his actual birthday is still about six months away. Kano keeps talking about the birth date and he gets upset because it seems like she cares more about Veronica and “Momochi from Veronica” than him. So he has her say his actual birthday and when she does he tells her, "that's right. That day that you know is the birthday of the me in front of you. Veronica's momochi is not me. I'm never putting on that act ever again. that new song that you've been so excited for is never releasing. no matter how long you wait or look forward to it, veronica's momochi is nowhere in this world. I'm just... me. Veronica is over now." (ty mmc-veronica for letting me add ur tl of what mmc says!)

Track 4 長雨

Kano wakes up in the middle of the night and goes to the balcony and sees Momochi crying. Momochi denies that he’s crying and says it’s just the rain. But he explains that he’s out there because he had a bad dream. This was a dream he used to have every day when he was younger, and he hadn’t gotten it in years, so he thought it was finally over. But it continues to haunt him even now. It’s then revealed that Momochi has a younger (half) brother who was spoiled by his family. Here it’s also revealed that kano and Momochi lived near each other, so she must be aware that his younger brother was spoiled. Momochi makes it clear here that he hates his younger brother, and he doesn’t really understand why his younger brother is so attached to him and looks up to him when Momochi was just randomly introduced one day as his older brother. His younger brother started a band in their hometown, and he told Momochi about it. Momochi comments that to him, music is suffocating, but his younger brother sees it as some kind of joke. He plays like 2 seconds of his brother’s song before stopping it. Momochi tells kano that he’ll quit music because he would rather die than do the same thing his brother does. He also tells kano that his brother, Veronica and even her are just his way of killing time. Kano tells Momochi to sing. He refuses, so instead, she starts singing. He calls her singing bad and tells her to stop and then he sings instead. When he’s done singing, he says that he’ll keep doing music and stay in Veronica, but just until he finds something more pleasing than singing. He then grabs kano and holds her against the railing of the balcony. He tells her she has to stay by his side and to keep listening to his singing as a way of holding herself responsible. It starts raining again and despite Momochi holding her against the railing, she’s smiling and happy. Track ends with Momochi telling her to cling to him and they kiss. 

Track 5 winding road 

While at a restaurant with kano, the table next to them is celebrating a birthday, which annoys Momochi since he hates his birthday and just wants to forget it. Then, as a reward for being good, Momochi decides to tell kano what his dream was. He tells her that he used to dream of it every day in high school, and it was him as a child sitting alone in the corner of a mold-smelling room, hugging his knees and waiting for his mom to come back on his birthday. That was the entire dream and Momochi hates that dream because it is just a reminder of the promise his mom made. She promised him that she would celebrate his birthday, but she never did, despite him being her only son and only family. He kept believing that promise year after year, even though it never came true until she finally just disappeared for good. He then reveals that the day his mom left him is the same day as kano’s birthday. Kano says that his profile is just full of lies then. But Momochi says that it isn’t because Momochi’s Veronica did start on September 20th and that he hates the fake act he puts on, which is why his profile says the thing he dislikes is himself. Momochi feels like kano is pitying him for living this way, but he tells her that it was his decision to put on the mask of being a good person and that he’s living in the moment. And that he’ll keep on living doing whatever he wants. The CD ends with him blocking his younger brother’s number and telling kano that she should keep doing her best to not be abandoned by him. 

I was very scared of this CD. After what happened on Judah’s CD (spoilers for his cd), with the writers just introducing the fact that before judahkano, there was someone else important in Judah’s life. I know it made a lot of warms upset because it wasn’t clear whether this special person was an ex-girlfriend or just a friend… And apparently in this CD, judahkano can suddenly read sheet music/understand music production despite that never being mentioned before? And I’ve seen other people comment on how it feels weird that only now are some of the girlfriends getting backstories… But I did have some hope because the day Momochi’s CD was released I read over some reviews from Japanese fans, and it didn’t seem as bad as I thought it would be. Of course, my expectations for this CD have been lowered, but I did go into it hopefully based on the reviews I read.

Honestly, I don’t HATE the way this CD played out but I also don't love it and without fail this my least favorite CD. I am conflicted about how I feel about Momochi having a younger brother. It just goes against the way I thought Momochi’s family was structured. But when I really think about it, the inclusion of a younger brother does actually answer one huge question I had with Momochi’s Evolve CD. In that CD he gets a call from a family member that his dad had died, and I always wondered WHO was calling him. Based on this reveal, I’m pretty sure it was his younger brother who called him. This new information and the fact that his mother never celebrated his birthday is making me rethink the way I view Momochi’s childhood in general. But like I said in the beginning, I’m not going to go in depth on that right now, since I’m working on something else that will address how I feel. That aside, this CD really isn’t too far off from how Momochi usually acts but at the same time it does feel off...It's hard to fully explain in words. The way kano acts is also off… Suddenly she’s so obsessed with Veronica, which is just kind of strange to me. She’s always been invested in Veronica, but on this CD, she does seem really adamant about bringing up Veronica. It’s weird. She's literally never brought up before how she's bothered by the fact that Veronica's Momochi is different from the real Momochi but here she's extremely focused on Veronica and how Momochi put a fake birthday on his profile. It's also extremely strange how she just starts singing to try and convince Momochi to keep making music. It is like her to want Momochi to keep singing but the way the writers went about her doing it is just weird. She has literally never sang before when Momochi said he would leave Veronica but here she just randomly sings?? There was a better way to go about her convincing Momochi to keep making music. I am very relieved that this CD didn’t go in depth with how Momochi and kano met. I’m satisfied enough knowing they lived close to each other and that they’re dating now. I don’t need to know more than that. I do like the fact that the day Momochi’s mom died is the same day as kano’s birthday. It’s oddly satisfying to me! And I didn’t write about it here but I did really enjoy the donut scene in the third track!

But overall I just don't really understand why this drama CD was made. Unlimited ended things very nicely and it felt like the ending point... While this CD wasn't the worst thing they could've done with Momochi's character, I just wish they had left it at that instead of introducing new people into his life and things like that.

3. shintaro's case: similarly to takane asks if he stinks. completely serious kano says Yes. You do stink. Bye. when real ayano comes to school again shintaro smells obnoxiously of guy body spray he bathed himself in before school that only gets (real) ayano to tell him he stinks again

Yeahhhhhh, super quick, super easy, knocking this one out quickly! And while I was kinda meh on the last one, this one, I’m somewhat happy with! I like the vibes, I like the variety in length, and I like the variety in scenario. We’ve had some good, healthy marriages, some casual hook-ups, some canon compliance, and now! The phantom thieves had started out as a charitable affair. Just a pack of naive teenagers trying their best to do some good in the horrendous, corrupt world. And while the phantom thieves of hearts were no more, who was Akira Kurusu to disappoint? 

All it had taken was a year of observation, and a bit of a disguise, and his final heist had born fruit. Fruit that looked absolutely gorgeous when he cried, or fought, or tried to escape.

At that thought, Akira smiled down at the beloved detective bound beneath him. Tears welling up in his red-brown eyes, his hair a mess as he fought to not let slip any sound or sign of how good Akira's cock felt as he plunged into him. The ex-thief holding his knees almost to his scarred chest as he tried to wriggle out of the ropes tying his hands behind his back. Leaving him at the lewd whims of his keeper.

Yet, even with the broiling heat of the building flames of hell in his skin, he kept his eyes on Akechi's face as he went. A drop of gasoline to Akira's need, winding up the coil in his belly tighter and tighter with each droplet of despair. "A-Akira!" Shes basically the black dragons spoiled bean.

Shes not 100% sold on the tats so she gets this hair pin with the logo of the black dragon instead.

Everything she wants she gets! Well more like...Everything that kano gets her bcs shes too shy to Ask bcs of past trauma.

S/I is sort of like a rescued kitten, kano and her met during a very specific heist they wanted to pull off.

By no means was she involved, but kano decided to strike a convo with her, they sort of hit it off and kano said shed better get out of there, that something bad might happend and that it was just a gut feeling.

For some reason s/I leaves and thats when the shit goes down, eventually they meet again though, and they form a friendshipp in a way.

Kano, who had introduced s/I to erron and kabal eventually finds out shes living in an abusive household, so he telle her to move in with them, that hed get her somewhere safe to move to.

They planned the whole thing, and it went smooth.

Basically they took her stuff to her New home while her abusive mother was away all day during work.

Kano,kabal and erron would make sure she had the essentials and that shed be safe, eventually polyam happends and well she was introduced to the black dragon clan, becoming basically the queen.

(Her nickname Among the other people working is "the queen of the black dragon ").

Shes basically that one moment of hope when kano is angry at someone, shed find a way to make him calm down.

S/i very cherished Among the whole clan bcs shes a cinnamon roll you know?, when she goes out you have like...a bunch of dudes behind her keeping her safe,shes granted every little wish she wants( she doesnt abuse this though since shes very bad at accepting gifts but they Keep spoiling her anyway).

She gets what she couldnt while living with her abusive mother,they all make sure shes always feeling safe and sound,and helping her take revenge in the pettiest way possible.

Oh her mom booked in a restaurant?suddenly the food takes to long to arrive, the cake she bought was slightly wonky,oh she had to go to the Bank?well too bad bcs the Banks either closed or theres too Many people waiting in line.

s/I gets used to this spoiling and she does Keep her humble roots, but its nice she finally feels loved and accepted.

How would I fix MK 11?

For those who don’t know, I made a 41 point list of questions I got from watching MK11′s story, and I got into an exchange with another user over said points. (https://swindle94.tumblr.com/post/186753421775/the-questions-raised-in-mk11s-story-mode ) I found that many flaws with the story as it had unfolded, and while I admit that a fair few of them were, in fact, nitpicks or even a little mad, I’m Still a little hung up on some of them. So in that spirit, Here’s just a general, jumbled and random bullet point list of what I’d do to the story of 11 if you put my happy ass in the writer’s desk, and perhaps a design ideas desk before 4thsnake gets to it. 1. I’d make Kronika’s powers more consistent, or at least explain why they seem inconsistent. Maybe lay out what she’s “Said” to be able to do, and then she can have a kind of epic “Turns out I can also do this.” Moment. Or maybe explain that after going through so many timelines (in some of which it is implied she almost lost/died) Her sanity is genuinely just going away.  2. I’d add more factions and make the whole game a mad scramble to recruit everyone possible, certain actions in the story recruiting one group in the place of another. Red Dragon, Seidans, Zetarrens, The Naknada as a people, Cryomancers, Vampires, Riders (Ferra/Torr), etc.  -An example would be something like Going to the Naknada or the Seidan resistance and “Taking out” the other’s leader, who would end up escaping and joining Kronika. It would add at least a little flavor to subsequent playthroughs, always culminating in this massive charge of various different factions.  3. Smoke, Sindel, Stryker, and Nightwolf are actually in this, but maybe establish that since Raiden’s threat at the end of X there was some sort of schism between them and Liu’s people, and maybe they abandoned their hate and whatever kept them impure using Nightwolf’s guidance, possibly Ashra’s, they lead some sort of heavenly army in the battle against Kronika. 4. I’d throw in a few past versions of more characters. Like Cyrax and Sektor? Maybe Cyber Kuai Liang? Really Establish that all these past versions of characters are from wildly different timelines. Ones where they still have MK9-ish attitudes toward being cyberized, But maybe have them alter their feelings as the story goes, Cyrax and Sub-Zero freeing their cyborg selves from Mecha Sektor’s literally iron grasp on their minds, showing past Sektor that the Cyberizing should have been, if nothing else, less all-consuming.  5. Dark Raiden stays. Can we just agree that him up and vanishing by chapter 2 was a bloody waste? DR bouncing off his past self would have been gold. He’s more willing to make deals with more devils than Kronika just to protect Earthrealm and its people.  6. I’d make the Naknada from Seido instead of Outworld, We’ve seen so little of that realm that a new species not being in what you explore in Deception makes at least some sense, at the very least it would be better than Outworld having yet another species of humanoids just waltzing about.  7. Just make Noob the past one. Maybe add the current one in as a sort of envoy for the gods, that would have been interesting. Noob from the past sees what he can become and just thinks his other, “Holy” self is weak, IDK, but this basically just how I’d explain away where TF he’s been all this time, the gods have been purifying and training him. It’d be a decent answer at least.  8. I mentioned establishing that all the past characters are from wildly different timelines... Why not throw in ones that are “Very likely” the one from the current timeline, so if something happens to that one, shit would get real? It’s just a case of figuring out which one is from a similar line and which one is actually your past self one to one.  I will grant that this has the most potential to just make things way more confusing or annoying but TBH It also has the most comedic potential and the most for some really intense fight scenes in the game.  9. I’d have Liu Kang’s Revenant not steal his own soul. I’d straight up have them fuse together during a fight. The two of them and the Raidens fusing into a master of storms and flame. Two versions of Mortal Kombat’s Champion and Two lightning gods, corrupt as two of them are, would make for one utterly devastating warrior, especially if the idea just comes to Raiden in the middle of a battle. (Basically just slightly altering Fire God Liu Kang’s origin, I admit)  10. I’d bring Mileena back and maybe have her join Kitana’s side after Kahn’s death. 11. I’d have Kano explain that “Every Market” line a little better. Those are most of the big ones, I’d appreciate some thoughts.  Little Edit: 12. The boats. I’d definitely change that a little, have Kronika’s plan still involve tying up Kharon and all that, but I wouldn't have Cetrion randomly building this bridge over the blood sea, just establish that Kronika can make her own boats, but Kharon is the only non-titan at the moment who can fairy the forces of light.

currently, it is my favorite kagepro song (this changes like every week but i digress...) and i really want to make a pv for it but i lowkey have no idea where to start

I LOV remind blue. like every kagepro song makes me want to rip my face off ♥️♥️♥️ but this one is one of those that make me feel so strongly that i cant listen to it ♥️♥️♥️ cuz i do that btw. i cannot listen to kagepro songs without preparing myself emotionally and it has to be when i am alone in my room. i could never listen to them in public. that'd be weird. im drawing and suddenly a kagepro song comes on in my playlist and im like this is so fucked up who put this here (<- i did)

TOTALLY support the idea to make a pv!!! i wouldn't know how to start either tbh💔 who would u make it be sung by?? like the song is so good but for the lyrics im like meh like str is already a thing. idk it sorta has the same vibe. its like summertime record and lost day hour's lyrics had a little baby together. which is why i always liked to interpret it as a haruka song but fuck it ig its shintaro's.

i also liked the idea of it being seto's or hibiya's. i think they'd deserve a song like this, especially hibiya!! tho for hibiya the whole "adult" thing is different LOL and even seto, he's just 17... ive always loved haruka being the punchbag for the "im an adult wtf" feeling because he goes from living his whole life thinking he will die and then he doesn't. or well he DOES die but then comes back, and suddenly he finds himself with his whole life ahead. like haruka and his early 20s crisis abt i did NOT think id be alive this long and now i gotta deal with everything those feelings bring me but at the same time i have to pay rent and worry abt what to make for dinner soooo erm fine ig. that's also what i think lost day hour is about, i know jin describes it more like a song abt old friends but girl idk it rly only has a couple lines abt that as opposed to all the rest of the song... erm. what was i talking about again.

i dont particularly care for remind blue so much (LIKE THE SONG SLAPS im still talking about lyrics) bc it's very heavy on the shit abt like growing distant and stuff sortof??? like kagepros ending/str is implied to have the mekadan not grow apart but kinda do their own thing while still meeting to hang out, bc kagepro is also about growing up and with growing up comes maybe growing distant from these friends you love, but they will always be important and one of a kind in ur life and when u meet its like time hasnt rly passed between you. not to mention the whole thing about combining eyes and how all the snakes will always end up gathering by the queen no matter what, meaning the dan will always be bound to make their ways back to each other no matter what, and are connected to one another by the literal narrative that theyre all actually sort of aware of a little bit (they always refer to their tragedy as a "story"..kagepro is a little meta lol). and like that's all so beautiful but also fuck it. they all meet for pizza nights every week. erm. the passage of time am i right
