Mortal Kombat 11 x reader: Chapter 2 Timequake

3rd p.o.v

Tthe scene cuts to a silent black screen but the silence is broken by pounding feet suddenly the black screen is replaced by the sight of small bare feet running on sandstone the camera trails up the feet to show purple fabric then small arms with golden wrist bands and fluttering black hair then changes to the veiw of golden eyes before panning out to reveal a young girl of 2 years smiling as she runs through the halls towards a room all too familiar with her. Running through the door she looks around.

"Mommy? Mommy where are you?" she called out walking into the room and looking at all the photos, toys and weapons that her mother had collexted over the years. the camera pans over a sandstone wall with photos hanging on them, a photo of one of her mother, Cassie, Takeda, Kung Jin and Jacqui all huddles in a group as Cassie is taking the picture, one of her in the sick bay sitting in bed waving her hand as Johnny and Sonya are by her side smiling with Johnny's arm around her shoulder, another photo of her standing with her hands folded in front of her with Raiden and fujin at the sky temple, a photo of her with Jax and his wife smiling as she was still healing sitting on the porch of the farm house, one of everyone from the last battle in a group photo with her sitting on a crate between Takeda and Jacqui with his arm around her waist and Jacquis arm around her waist and finally an old photo of her with and the original kombatants when she won the tournament, one of her and mileena where Mileena was holding her mother, who was smiling wildly in mid laugh, in a bridal style with her mask off she dons her royal clothes while (name) wears something similar but in red. The edges and discolouration showed how long ago they were taken long before the girl was even born however there were photos that seemed recent.

A photo of her mother standing in her uniform issued by Kotal Kahn, one of the girl in the arms of Cassie Cage wearing a blue sundress with little bees on it, another of the girl wearing Johnny's glasses with a wide smile as she's in his arms, a few of her drawings scattered across the wall and one photo of her with her hands in the air smiling in her mothers arms. She goes to turn around but is picked up from behind she yelps in suprise before seeing who it was that had picked her up.　

"mommy!" she cheered hugging her mother "Calithea I thought you were with Erron" he mother said. the camra zooms out to reveal (name), wearing her uniform, smiling at her little girl "Mr.Black had another job and he said 'go find your mama lil one' so i look for you and you find me!" (name) chuckled at her daughters cute imitation of the gunslinging mercenary when, speak of the devil, Erron Black aprouched the both of them "Kotal Kahn has ordered for you to be present at the collectors execution and you are to bring the lil one" he said causing (name) to look at her daughter in worry. Erron sighed "look you can't protect her from the world forever she needs to learn someday" he said placing a hand on her shoulder over time Erron had grown attatched to the woman and her daughter but never acted on it much though he did treat the girl with more patienc that he would with others "can't i leave her with you?" "not an option i'm being sent out on another mission by Kotal, sorry darlin but you're gonna have ta bring her" (name) nodded "no other way around it...alright we'll be out in a moment"　

The scene cuts to the Outworld Koliseum. A soldier bangs on a drum, and the camera focuses on a blue skinned, bald headed, red-eyed male humanoid bound by an enlarged circular neck brace. Six more soldiers hold large poles leading into the neck brace in place, trying to keep the captive imprisoned. The creature is a member of the Naknada species, and has a total of six spindly arms on his body - four at his sides and two smaller ones on his back.　

Despite his wiry stature, the soldiers visibly struggle to keep him pinned down. At one point, the Naknada manages to pivot and lift two soldiers into the air, but they lean down hard on their poles and manage to return to the ground. The crowd in the Koliseum cheer on the display. The Naknada - known only by his alias of "Kollector" - is brought down on his knees before the throne of Outworld's Emperor, the Osh-Tekk known as Kotal Kahn. Standing to the left of Kotal's throne is one of his common soliders, who holds an enlarged sword, not unlike Kotal's signature macuahuitlas well as Erron Black and to the right stands his second in command (name), holding her lunar blade in her (dominant hand), and her eyes set in a harden gaze while her daughter, Calithea, stands by her side holding her mothers hand.　

The camera cuts to a close up of Kotal "For years you escaped my justice. Sucked dry the bounty of Outworld's people. Today, your debt is paid" he decread as the crowds cheered "Kill me, Kotal, and you lose profit" Kollector hissed "You mistake me for Shao Kahn Kahn" Kotal sneered. He rises from his throne and walks toward the captive "I do not inflict bandits upon the poor" Kotal said looking down on Kollector "Shao Kahn Kahn approved! His word was law!" Kollector fired back. Kotal gestures to his left. The soldier standing there immediately brings him his blade. Kotal holds it in both hands, preparing a killing strike "Your master is dead, and so is his "law". Never again will Outworld suffer from his corruption" Kotal lifts his blade above his head as the crowd grow more wild as (name) pulled her daughter behind her. Before he can deliver the fatal blow, an earthquake begins to erupt around the Koliseum. The stone statues bearing Kotal's likeness break apart and fall to the ground. Rips in time begin to tear into the structure itself.　

Back in Earthrealm, Cassie is sleeping on a makeshift bed in the medical room of the Special Forces base. She suddenly awakens as the room's walls begin to distort with the time rips. She, Johnny, Jacqui and Raiden all look around in horror, and a sandstorm begins to form inside the room.　

In Kronika's keep, Liu Kang and Kitana can barely keep on their feet as Kronika manipulates the sands in her hourglass through the magic generated from her hands. The sand in the glass begins to flow upward in reverse.　

The sandstorm has now almost completely engulfed the medical room, and even Raiden is having trouble standing straight. The storm eventually turns into three tornados, and Johnny squints as he tries to look into them. His eyes widen in shock as he sees three figures begin to emerge from the tornadoes. One of those figures is himself, looking 25 years younger. 　

Another is Jax, also younger. The third is Sonya, and she looks just as youthful as the other two. The tornadoes die down once the figures are fully formed, and the sandstorm subsides as well. Young Johnny and Old Johnny walk up to each other, as Cassie walks up to Sonya and Jax to Jacqui. Everyone is in such disbelief that they can't find the words to speak "By the Elder Gods!" Raiden exclaims. As everyone turns in Raiden's direction, a tornado of sand gathers around the Thunder God, but unlike the others, this one is reducing him to dust. The process is over in seconds, and Raiden fades out of existence before he can say anything else. Only Shinnok's amulet remains, and it clatters to the floor.　

Back in Outworld, a sandstorm has erupted in the Koliseum, sending the crowd and even some soldiers into a panic while (name), unsure of what's happening, picks up Calithea quickly and holds her in one arm while the other holds her lunar blade tightly ready to fight when needed. Kotal Kahn is distracted by the spectacle, but Kollector keeps calm. He notices that one of the soldiers pinning him in place has taken his grip off the pole he was holding.　

Without hesitation, Kollector seizes the chance given to him. He ducks low and swipes to his left, both unbalancing the other soldiers and striking them with their own poles. They are all sent sprawling to the ground. Kollector focuses on one of them and impales the poor man straight through the chest with one of the sharpened poles. As the soldier screams in agony, Kollector pivots the pole upwards, dragging the soldier down it and right into Kollector's hands. 　

Grinning sadistically, Kollector takes the keys to the neck brace from the soldier's belt and undoes the lock keeping the brace together. He shakes it off as the now-dead soldier crumples to the ground, still impaled on the pole. 　

Several tornadoes have sprouted up in the Koliseum, and much like they did on Earthrealm, they dispel people from them: the blood mage Skarlet, a younger Erron Black, the savage Tarkatan known as Baraka, a young and bald-shaven Kano and most tellingly, Outworld's previous Emperor - Shao Kahn Kahn.　

But the remaining tornadoes in the Koliseum bring forth other people instead - Liu Kang, Kitana, Kung Lao and Jade - not the dead revenants of the current era, but fully alive. Out of the final tornado steps Raiden - not his dark counterpart, but the Raiden of yesteryear, who summons his signature blue lightning as the tornado dies down. (name)s eyes widen in shock seeing her old friends as they once were her (dominante hand) hand holding her blade shakes slightly as she tries to keep her composier. 　

The tornadoes have also brought in numerous Outworld soldiers - loyal minions of Shao Kahn Kahn, who stand close by their Emperor.　

For long moments, the crowd remains silent, taking in the spectacle before them. Kotal looks around as well, pausing to note that the statues that once bore his likeness have now been replaced by those of Shao Kahn Kahn. He approaches the new arrivals. 　

"Raiden? Shao Kahn Kahn?" Kotal Kahn quiestions in disbelif "General Kotal?" Shao Kahn Kahn asked visibly annoyed. The two Kahns step toward one another while (name) placed her daughter under the throne "Cali stay here and don't come out until mommy or Kotal Kahn says so ok?" she whispered. Calithea nods huddling herself more into the small space "ok mommy" she whispered back (name) nodded "that's my girl" and went back her original position "Kotal Kahn" Kotal Kahn corrects "Kahn? Pathetic fool. You pretend to my throne!" Shao Kahn Kahn growls "It is mine, by right and deed. You were killed, long ago, as was your repugnant spawn, Mileena" (name) glared at her Kahn for that remark "We were at the Mortal Kombat tournament. Kung Lao had just defeated Shang Tsung and Quan Chi" Raiden stated trying to understand what was happening "We are decades beyond those events" Kotal Kahn informed him "For us, they happened only moments ago" "What game are you playing, Raiden? What magic powers this delusion?" Shao Kahn Kahn Questioned "If it is a delusion, it is one we all share. Is it possible that the past and future are colliding?" Raiden asked understanding finally what is going on.　

Kotal looks around at the newcomers "Kitana, Baraka, Skarlet - all Outworld champions long since gone. If you have all returned, has--" Jade suddenly steps forward, clear joy in her eyes "I am here, Kotal" she said smiling Kotal's eyes are wide open in disbelief "Jade..." The moment is ruined as Shao Kahn Kahn shoves Jade aside to face Kotal down. The current Kahn of Outworld keeps his composure. Behind him, his soldiers and those of Shao Kahn Kahn have readied their weapons at that moment (name) decided to step up.　

"By Order of Kotal Kahn it is Osh-Tekk Customs that all refugees be offered assistance. We offer it to you Shao Kahn Kahn. If I were you I would take it lest you wish to have your own blood spill" she stated striding forword to stand beside Kotal Kahn. Her friends eyes widen "Lady (name)?" Kung Lao asked surprised to see her here and in the manner of which she is dressed "Hello Lao" she smiled at him before the mood was once again inturupted.　

"I am no refugee! I am Kahn of Outworld! Vacate my throne" Shao Kahn Kahn yelled as he points toward the throne, then at Kotal "or I'll soak these sands with your blood! With a gesture, Shao Kahn Kahn magically summons his warhammer and charges at Kotal, who parries the blow with a swing of his sword. He parries another, but Shao Kahn shoulder checks Kotal while he's off balance. Kotal recovers quickly though and slams his blade through Shao Kahn's left shoulder, drawing blood. The former Emperor roars in anger and pushes to his feet, driving Kotal back. He swings his hammer down, forcing Kotal to block again. This time, the two weapons grind against one another as both kombatants attempt to overpower the other. 　

Shao Kahn wins the exchange by shoving Kotal's sword down into the sands beneath them. He follows through by smacking Kotal in the face with the hilt of his warhammer, drawing blood, before kicking him into a pillar. Shao Kahn Kahn roars once more and charges, his warhammer raised high above his head. At the last moment, Kotal ducks to the side and narrowly misses having his head smashed into chunks of meat, but Shao Kahn keeps swinging the hammer, destroying the pillar base as Kotal desperately tries to crawl away. 　

Eventually, Shao Kahn Kahn stops his attack, but the damage to the pillar causes it to collapse... right on Kotal, burying him under a mound of broken rubble. The crowd of the Koliseum cheer and applaud the spectacle, not caring in the slightest about who wins but loving the carnage laid before them. Chaos has broken out among Kotal and Shao Kahn Kahn's supporters, with each fighting the other. Only (name), Raiden and Liu Kang are not currently in kombat, instead observing the melee around them. 　

"Lord Raiden... what do we do?" Liu Kang asked "I have not met Kotal, but he is reputed to be a man of honor" Raiden replied as Jade runs up to both men while Raiden is speaking "It's true. I know him well" she vouched for him while (name) ran to them "take both of our words for it Kotal Kahn is a man of reason and honour" she says as the three turn to her "Lady (name) how is it you are here and yet you look as though you've barley aged?" Liu Kang asked looking her over "I'll explain everything after this is over but for now Kotal Kahn needs our help" Raiden nodded "Then we must navigate this crisis by aiding him"　

Liu Kang and Jade nod in agreement. As Kotal tries to stand from his earlier predicament, Shao Kahn Kahn crushes his hand underneath his boot. But as he raises his warhammer for the finishing blow, Liu Kang jumps into the fray with his bicycle kick, striking Shao Kahn in the chest multiple times and forcing him back.　The former Emperor takes a few moments to recover before charging once more, screaming with rage. He swings his warhammer twice, with Liu Kang evading the blows with ease. Shao Kahn changes his strategy and tries to stab Liu Kang with the blade on the top of his weapon, but Kang leans backwards - and in slow motion, just barely avoids having the blade tip driven through his face. Shao Kahn Kahn is then blasted from behind with a surge of lightning, courtesy of Raiden　

(name) runs to Kotal Kahn and helps him up "are you alright, my Kahn?" she asked "Yes, (name), I am alright" he replied flexing his left hand to make sure it wasn't too damaged "good because we still have a fight to win and know that i want to know everything about you and Jade" Kotal smiled at her name but that quickly turned into a look of worry "where is your daughter?" "she's under the throne it's the only place i had time to put her" he nodded "protect Jade with your life" (name) nodded "of course, my Kahn" and with that she was off fighting beside Jade "need a hand? she asked her edenian friend who smirked in return Kicking away and oncoming guard "care to tell me what has happened to place you in the position you are in now?" Jade asked as (name) slashed a mans throat spilling blood on the ground "I'm sure i can give you a more detailed *punch* story later but the short of it *grunt* i-is that I'm Kotals second in command and a peace maker between outworld and earthrealm. on your right" with that said Jade uses her bo staff to flip herself over (name), trading places, and smashing it over the mans head "is that all?" "don't worry Jade i'm nothing more to him than a friend" she laughed smiling at Jade, who blushed slightly, as she struck down another.　

In another part of the Koliseum grounds, a Kotal loyalist charges Baraka. The Tarkatan swipes his arm-blade through the soldier's stomach and eviscerates him without breaking stride. Another soldier charges in, but Baraka swipes his arm-blade across the man's cheek before stabbing him clean through the head. As Baraka pulls his blade from the dead man's skull, a female soldier tries her luck, but Baraka bats her sword from her hands and plunges an arm-blade through the side of her chest. He turns and catches another female charging him with a killing stab directly into her chest. He withdraws the blade and finds himself face to face with a recovering Kotal. 　

"Stupid Osh-Tekk. Destroying your future, crossing Shao Kahn Kahn" Baraka spits "It is you with no future, Baraka. Your Tarkatans are dead" "Impossible!" "They allied with Mileena against me. Persist, and YOU will die again!"　

They fight. Baraka's savagery was more than enough for Kotal's soldiers, but the Emperor himself proves to be a different foe entirely. Kotal has Baraka beaten in strength, size and skill and he soon presses these advantages against the Tarkatan. After a brief struggle, Baraka is beaten to the ground.　

"Filthy Tarkatan" Kotal Kahn sneers. Kotal strides past Kung Lao and Kano, who are both fighting each other. A Shao Kahn Kahn loyalist charges Kotal with his sword raised, but Kotal punches him in the face twice and drills him into the ground by his neck. Another soldier charges in with a high kick, to which Kotal grabs his leg, lifts him off his feet and slams him to the floor. A third soldier charging in gets a punch to the jaw, and Kotal grabs him by the waist and spins around, smashing him in the same manner as his compatriots. 　

Kotal spots Jade getting the worse of an exchange with Kollector. As he runs to help, he is stopped short by the sight of a corpse of an Outworld tiger - long dead after being impaled by two swords sticking out of its body - being suddenly covered by a mass of blood. 　

The blood springs off the body of the tiger, attacking Kotal and throwing him into an open trap door leading to the dungeons below the Koliseum. Kotal can do nothing but scream in terror as he is unceremoniously dropped onto the ground below. As he picks himself off the floor, the blood congeals and turns into a human form - Shao Kahn Kahn's enigmatic servant, Skarlet. 　

"The orphan turned assassin" "Better to thrive in Shao Kahn Kahn's court than starve in the streets. You Osh-Tekk may practice blood magic, Kotal, but I am the master"　

They fight. Skarlet shows that her mastery of blood magic is not just boasting, but Kotal knows other magic as well and brings his decades of fighting experience to the forefront. After a fierce battle, Kotal eventually leaves the witch beaten at his feet "Pride will be your downfall"Behind Kotal, the door to the dungeon is suddenly opened "Kotal!" Jade runs up to Kotal and kisses him on the lips. After a moment, she lets go, but the two hold each other in their arms "I thought you were dead!" She places her hands on Kotal's cheeks. "What happened to you?" she asks "Shao Kahn Kahn betrayed me. Ambushed my legion. I was kept alive for Shang Tsung's experiments. Only when he died was I freed" "Seeing you again makes it worth living this... nightmare" "I will not lose you twice"　

The tender moment is interrupted by the doors on the opposite side of the dungeon being forced open. This time, the intruder is Erron Black - the younger version, spawned by the timequake. He sets his eyes on Jade and Kotal, and Kotal looks to Jade "Go help the Earthrealmers. I will deal with this" As Jade exits, Kotal walks toward the approaching mercenary "Your future self is ally, not enemy, Erron Black" "To hell with the future. I live in the moment" Erron said drawing his gun "Given who you become, I would not have thought you so reckless"　

They fight. Erron Black fights with deadly precision and with no honour, but his tactics are ones that Kotal is well taught in and he overcomes them with his strength and magical prowess. After a brief melee, Black is soon left down and out. Allowing himself a smirk of accomplishment, Kotal Kahn walks up the staircase leading back into the Koliseum. The crowd are still raucously cheering the spectacle of kombat before them. Kotal walks past Liu Kang beating the tar out of a Shao Kahn Kahn loyalist and Kung Lao still fighting Kano. His walk turns into a run as he spots Jade being thrown to the ground by Shao Kahn Kahn. The current Emperor of Outworld faces down the former Emperor. "I will have my throne!" Shao Kahn Kahn roars Kotal gets into a fighting stance "Outworld rejected your pointless wars!" Kotal fired back "Empires must expand or die!" Shao Kahn Kahn growled.　

He roars in rage and charges. Both Kahns collide and grapple with each other. Initially Kotal gets the advantage and pushes Shao Kahn backwards, but Shao Kahn shifts his body and switches positions. Now it is Shao Kahn who pushes Kotal toward a cage housing an Outworld beast. He slams Kotal against the cage bars as the beast roars and tries to attack the closest person - in this case, Kotal.　

Kotal tries to push back but Shao Kahn Kahn is relentless. He presses Kotal's face against the bars, and the beast remains inches away from mauling Kotal, restrained only because its jaw is too big to get past the iron bars. In desperation, Kotal bites down hard on Shao Kahn's hand, stunning him long enough for Kotal to throw him away.　

With some momentum back in his corner, Kotal charges Shao Kahn again and grapples him. Shao Kahn tries to throw him down a pit, but Kotal avoids it and lands on his feet. The two Kahns face one another down, and Kotal points a finger at Shao Kahn while the latter summons his warhammer.　

"Your conquests served you alone, not Outworld's people!" Kotal Kahn says glaring at Shao Kahn Kahn.　

They fight. The battle is long and hard, as both Kotal Kahn and Shao Kahn are matched evenly in strength, skill and magical ability. But in the end, Shao Kahn's fury cannot match Kotal Kahn's determination and pursuit of justice, and it is the New Emperor of Outworld that defeats the Old Emperor. 　

"You are Kahn no more"　

Before Kotal can finish his opponent though, a plague of insects swarms into the Koliseum. Kotal looks into the sky and realises at once who it is "D'Vorah" he mutters The insects swarm around Kotal, forcing him to shield his face. Across the Koliseum, the insects have swarmed every other kombatant as well, incapacitating all of them. As Shao Kahn rises to his knees, a sand portal opens behind him. He turns to find the Kytinn herself emerging from the portal "Shao Kahn! To me!" she calls to him Without hesitation, Shao Kahn runs into the portal. Skarlet, Kano, the younger Erron Black, Baraka and Kollector all follow right after him. D'Vorah pauses only long enough to hiss contemptuously at Kotal before stepping into the sand portal, which closes after him.　

"I have not known stranger days" he said with (name) at his side nodding in agreement. A voice catches Kotal's attention. He turns to see Raiden approach him, alongside Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana and Jade "Kotal Kahn. I am Raiden, Protector of Earthrealm" "I know you" he said surprising Raiden "We are acquainted in your era?" "We were allies who became enemies" "I am surprised, given our shared antipathy toward Shao Kahn" Everything changed after your defeat of Shinnok" Liu Kang is taken aback as is Raiden "Shinnok's defeated?" Liu Kang asked "Our realms joined to fight him. But in victory, you were hardened. To protect Earthrealm, you lashed out at all realms you deemed threats." Raiden looks downcast as this revelation "That... cannot be" he says in disbelif "Unfortunalty it is our Raiden wears Shinnok's amulet as a symbol of his fury he's become corupted in his sense of justice" (name) said placing her weapon on the holster on her back "Be assured, Kotal Kahn, I am not that Raiden. We have common cause. Both in solving this temporal crisis and in defeating Shao Kahn" Kotal Kahn nodded "Agreed"　　

Meanwhile Kitana notices movment under the throne and walks over to it and kneels down to see a little girl who looked terrified "are you alright little one?" she asks. Calithea looks up "I-is it over?" she stuttered Kitana nodded "you can come out now" Calithea crawled out and stood up looking at Kitana "what is you name little one and why were you hiding under the throne?" "My name is Calithea! my mommy told me to stay there until she came to get me what's your name miss?" Kitana giggle at the girls cute behavior "my name is Kitana" at those words Calitheas face morfed into horror confusing Kitana "are you al-" she was cut off when Calithea screamed.　

(name)s head whipped around and saw Kitana with her Daughter for her she didn't see past Kitana she saw Revenant Kitana standing in front of her child "GET AWAY FROM HER!" she yelled bolting over to stand infront of her daughter with her lunar blade inches from Kitanas throat. Her friends from the past looked at her in shock "Lady (name) stop!" Raiden called out but it had done nothing to chage the situation "I won't let you take her away from me!" she growled about to push the blade closer until she heard Calithea sniffle "mommy?" she looked behind her to see her daughter on the brink of tears she dropped her blade into the sand and kneeled infront of her bringing her into her arms "honey its ok i'm here mommy's here" she whispered trying to calm her down. Kitana wanted to ask more but judging by the reaction she was given just by being near the girl she moved back to the others.(name) picked Calithea up and carried her over to the others Kotal pet Calitheas head while (name) looked over to the others "I...I know I have a lot to explain after what just happened" Liu Kang stepped forward "I believe we would like to know just who this child is" (name) ajusted Calithea on her hip and sighed "this can wait until everything has settled down" the she turned to Kotal Kahn "What's the plan?" Raiden stepped forward "Liu Kang, Kung Lao and I will return to Earthrealm and learn what temporal anomalies have occurred there. We must better understand the phenomenon we are experiencing" "I will have my scouts track Shao Kahn" "if i may request is there a way that Lady (name) comes with us as well as the child?" Kotal Kahn nods "only for the sake of the child"　

While they are speaking, Liu Kang and Kung Lao walk over to (name).　

"I still can't believe you are here. Protecting a Kahn" Lao said as (name) put Calithea down "It seems as though we had just-" he was cut off when (name) pulled him into a tight embrace as tears welled in her eyes "L-Lady (name)!" Kung lao blushed confused but happy as he wrapped his arms around her "you have no idea how happy i am to see you" she said as they let go of eachother she then turns to Liu Kang and hugs him "all of you"　

Kung Lao felt a tug on his pants and looked down at Calitheahe kneeled down to her height "hello little one" he said making her smile "Hello! Are you Mommys friend?" he looked at her confused "who is your mother?" Calithea pointed to (name) who was trying to make amends with Kitana and explain herself to both her and Liu Kang. Kung Laos eyes widen "that's mommy!" he looked back to Calithea still shocked but he composed himself and nodded smiling "Yes I am My name is Kung Lao" Calithea giggles "My name is Calithea! mommy sometimes calls me Cali" Kung Lao chuckled at the girls cuteness "do you think my mommy's pretty?" Lao smiled and nodded not embarassed about talking to Calithe, since she was just a child, about his opinion on the woman he has come to love in the short amout of time knowing her "yes I think she's very pretty" "My mommy is the prettiest mommy in the whole realm!" Kung lao Laughed as Liu Kang Kneeled next to him "what is so funny?" he asked "Calithea was asking me if i thought Lady (name) was pretty" Liu Kang smiled and turned to Calithea "we'll he is not wrong your mother is very pretty just like you" Calithea giggled happily making the mens hearts melt at her sweetness "are you mommys friend too?" "yes my name is Liu Kang"　

Once the formalities are out of the way Kung Lao, Liu Kang, (name) and Calithea walk back toward Raiden. Raiden lifts his hand to the sky and teleports himself, the Shaolin monks and the two girls back to Earthrealm with a flash of lightning.　

The scene cuts to D'Vorah's Lost Hive, hidden underground in an unknown section of Outworld. Shao Kahn faces the Kytinn herself, with Kollector, Skarlet, Erron Black, Kano and Baraka waiting in the background "You evade my questions, D'Vorah. I routed your people. Burned this hive. yet you aid me" Behind Shao Kahn, Kollector has donned some more fancier clothing, including a hood that covers his head. He approaches the former Emperor from behind "We can't trust her, Excellency. Kotal Kahn did, and she betrayed him to Shinnok"　

"Kotal Kahn..." He spits out the word "Kahn" with as much contempt as he can muster "How is it I'm dead and he sits on my throne?" "You tried merging Earthrealm into Outworld. The Elder Gods intervened and Raiden killed you. That's when Mileena became Kahn" "After This One attempted to kill your daughter, Kotal claimed the throne" D'Vorah's statement whips Shao Kahn into a frenzy "You attempted to kill Mileena?! If this is true, YOU WILL DIE!" As Shao Kahn raises his fist to attack, D'Vorah sprouts her stingers from her back. They are both interrupted before coming to blows by a sandstorm that dies down as quickly as it was formed. Emerging from that storm is Kronika, alongside two minions of hers. One is a woman clothed in a long hooded garment that conceals everything except the blue mask on the lower half on her face. 　

The second is what appears to be a large dark skinned man, but upon closer inspection is an artificial construct in the shape of a human being. The three of them approach Shao Kahn and D'Vorah "D'Vorah is under my protection, Shao Kahn. As are you. I am Kronika" "...The legends are true?" Shao Kahn asked in atonishment "I am displeased with how history has unfolded" "So you broke time? "I stopped time. I enlist all those who disdain the current course of history. By merging past and present, we may draw upon allies from both eras" "How will fighting your battles benefit me?" "I offer a greater empire in the New Era, Shao Kahn. Raiden will not exist to thwart you" "You can wipe Raiden from history?" "It is an immense task, requiring great power and effort. My Hourglass requires protection while I work. Will your Outworld armies defend it?" Shao Kahn smirked "They shall"　

Back in the Special Forces command center in Earthrealm, the older Johnny Cage is leaning over his younger counterpart, who has his feet up on a workstation and his hands behind his head.　

"I swear to God, I'm losing it. Can't someone - anyone - explain to me what the hell is going on?!" Present Johnny asked frustrated "Right? I've been in the future for a whole hour and I haven't seen one jetpack. Not one!" Past Johnny said as Present Johnny closes his eyes and purses his lips together, trying to keep his anger in check. Raiden walks into the command centre alongside Cassie Cage　

"So it is true. I walked a darker path" "After Shinnok went down, you became a different person. Red lightning, black clothes. Authoritarian attitude adjustment" Cassie replied "but if that is true then would lady (name) not have prevented this from happening?" "after everything was said and done she never went back home meaning she wouldn't know what would happen next" "Yeah, about that; what happened to "Dark" you, hmm? How come you're an only child and I've got an evil twin?" Present Johnny asked as Past Johnny spreads his arms out in agitation "As an immortal, I exist outside the normal laws of time. That could explain why I am affected differently" Raiden replies.　

In another part of the command centre, Jax offers Sonya a cup of coffee "Thanks" she says taking a hold of the cup "Weird, isn't it? Not being in charge" Jax commmented making Sonya look at him "That's what's weird?" "That, and having daughters our age" They look over at Cassie speaking with Raiden "Look at her. How do I have a kid... with him? Behind Cassie, the past Johnny is checking his fingernails "Huh. At least she's not an actress" Both Johnny's walk past Sonya and Jax as they are speaking, with Older Johnny clearly not wanting to hear anything from his younger self "C'mon, at least think about it. We each get points off the gross. Coming this summmer... Johnny Cage AND Johnny Cage! In "Timequake"!"　

As they walk out of the command centre, Jacqui walks in with Liu Kang and Kung Lao. They walk up to Raiden and Cassie, who are now next to the holographic table projector seen earlier "Any thoughts on what to do next?" Cassie asked Raiden "For months, I have been receiving vague premonitions of the future. But none of them foretold this. I must confer with the Elder Gods"　

"yeah fat lot of good they've contributed" everyone turns to the open door where the voice came from. emerging fro it was (name), holding calithea on her left hip, all suited up. she wore a black strapless body suit with a small amount of read cloth draped from her neck down to above her knees with a hole cut out exposing her cleavage, a brown belt with a gold circle buckle with a blue centre jewel, black arm length handless gloves, knee length brown boots with gold ankle cuffs over them, a red mask with a gold lining and her long (hair colour) hair tied up in a low braid in honor of Sonya who she had only just learned had passed with her battle scars showing this wasn't the same girl that had fought in the last tournament, not now, no this was a warrior reborn.

Her face held an angry look, eyes seeming to glow a bright (gem colour) under the light, while her daughter played with her mothers braid "where the hell were they when shinnok attatcked Earthrealm while i was gone, or when Sonya died protecting Earthrealm and them?" she growled Raiden stepped forward and placed a hand on her shoulder "Lady (name) i cannot speak on behalf of the elder gods but they work in only the ways that they can" he tried to explain only for (name) to cock an eyebrow "like using peoples bodies as vesels and have us die for them?" she brushed his hand away and walked past him "I know just how they work very well"　

Cassie walked over "hey" she said getting (name) to smile and Calithea make grabby hands to her "Cassie!" the girl squealed happily. Cassie smiled and picked her up holding her on her hip like (name) "Where's Takeda and Kung Jin? they need to be here" (name) asked "They're on peace missions through out the realms. there's no way for us to bring them back for a while lest we want to risk a war" "fair enough" Cassie looked back down to Calithea "they miss you ya know always tried to catch your eye but i have the strangest feeling that you have your eye on a certain someone" (name) grows flustered "I-I don't know what you mean" she stutteres then walks off leaving Calithea with a laughing Cassie.　

"Liu Kang, Kung Lao. Please assist the Special Forces while I am gone" Raiden stated walking back over "Yes, Lord Raiden" Liu Kang replied "I'm going with them I can be of help" (name) said Raiden nodded "Follow me" Jacqui said. As Jacqui walks the monks and warrior over to get briefed, Sonya approaches Cassie, who is playing with Calithea"Commander?" she asked "Yes, Mom-- I mean, General! I mean..." Cassie breaks off, unable to finish "This is strange for me too" "You have no idea" Something about her tone puts Sonya on edge "What?" she asks "Ugh, how do I say this...? This morning, "we" were on a mission... and you gave your life to save it" Cassie nearly breaks down at her words. Sonya recoils in shock and sits down on a nearby chair "Son of a bitch. Seriously?" "Yeah. And now here you are. Young enough to be my sister"　

Cassies attention was then drawn to the small hand wiping her face she looks down at Calithea trying to wipe her tears "Don't cry Cassie! you're a big girl and you said big girls don't cry"she said stopping her hand and opting to hold her shirt. Cassie smiled and wiped her eyes with one hand "yeah I know hun, I know" Sonya looked at the little girl in confusion then to Cassie "and she is-?" "(name)'s kid Calithea" Sonya looked shocked then turned her gaze to (name), who was talking to the monks, taking in her features and seeing just how much she had aged and all her scars "how old is she now?" "about 28" "how is she still that young after all this time?" "it's...better if you let her tell you"　

"Cass, you need to see this!"Jacqui calls out. Steeling herself, Commander Cage walks over to Jacqui, who points to an alert on the nearby computer screen "Sat feeds show a Netherrealm incursion at the Wu Shi Academy" Jacqui said taking Calithea from Cassie "Netherrealm? Taking out Shinnok's Temple was supposed to stop them" Cassie critted her teeth "the time anomaly. there's nothing else it could be" (name) said glaring at the screen "We must help our Shaolin masters" says Liu Kang as Kung Lao nods in agreement.　

"Why would the Netherrealm want to bust up your alma mater, Liu Kang?" asked Jax "The Dragon Grotto. It's underneath the Academy. Earthrealm's Jinsei energy bubbles up in its springs" he replied "That's no good. We've seen firsthand what happens when the Netherrealm screws with Earthrealm's life force." Cassie said already dreding the possibilites "They will not reach the Grotto. It is protected by powerful magic. The deadliest traps. I am sure our counterparts from your era are already dealing with them" Jacqui cringes at the words and looks to Cassie who looks at (name) "Kung Lao, Liu Kang... you might wanna sit down" The Shaolin monks frown at her statement and glance at one another.
