Do you ever feel responsible for how Megatron turned out?
There was silence.
For a long time, there was just silence. Optimus couldn't bring his gaze to the bot in question, but he moved to sit himself down and press a hand to his helm.
" ... Very. " He murmured.
" I symbolized what he despised when Sentinel appointed me as Prime. At least with the Knights of Iacon, I was not exactly a part of the usual system that... showed no mercy to the lower castes. We both worked in the mines together-- we both fought together, and we both had even worked to become Knights together before the arrival of Bonemaster. "
" ... we were like brothers once-- or perhaps something far more than battle-brothers. "
Optimus paused a little, then felt his form tense, and optics narrow. There was no bitterness, though there was just a sense of pain and regret.
" ... Once. "

tfone Starscream is so fascinating, bc here's an untold story there. Like, implications that he has some moral integrity, as ruthless and cynical as he is now.
Because here's the thing - there's people claiming the High Guard was pissed at Sentinel bc he made them lose their high standing in Cybertron. But the thing is... If that's true, they could easily just gain that same high standing back if they just pledged loyalty to Sentinel and his caste society. They could still be the High Guard to a "Prime" and still do the same things they do. If their moral integrity is that low.
But they didn't. Instead, they stubbornly survived on the surface, choosing to live hand-to-mouth and at constant risk of being killed by either Quintessons or by Sentinel because they're rebelling against him. Heck, even Starscream - you can't really JUST claim the reason why he chooses exile was just to maintain his leadership and power over his group. Like, he could have done that while not at the constant threat of starvation or death because let's face it - some incarnations would have him cozying up to Sentinel, still live in Iacon and maintain his privilege and comfort in any way he can, and then just find an opportunity to stab Sentinel in the back and then rule over Cybertron himself. But he doesn't. Their exile is straight up a horrible situation, but they still chose it over serving Sentinel. It just gives off implications that they aren't really as self-centered nor immoral at the start as you'd think, that there ARE some lines they won't cross. It's more heavily implied that they DID use to be a prestigious group with ideals, but repeated travails lead to said ideals corrupted over time.
YES!! You put it perfectly like I agree with everything you said and it is so fascinating the implications the movie gives us about TFOne Starscream and the rest of the High Guard in general! So many different possibilities! Rotates them in my brain like a rotisserie chicken!
I think Transformers One Starscream has so much potential as a Knight in Sour Armor with Jade-Colored Glasses trope.
For those who are unfamiliar with the trope Jade-Colored Glasses is like having the opposite of Rose tinted glasses. Basically you have or have gained a cynical way of looking at the world. Meanwhile the definition of the Knight in Sour Armor is: “The world is filled with Wide Eyed Idealists who believe in truth and justice and devote their lives to fighting for it. And then the dark, cruel and brutal world keeps letting them down. For them, Being Good Sucks. But rather than giving up on their goals, they choose to fight, not because they believe they will truly make a difference, but because it's the right thing to do…They're usually survivors who have largely given up on believing in Honor Before Reason, but still strive to be Lawful Good or as close to it as reality allows them to be. They are willing to bend the rules to save them.” (Definition taken from TVTropes)
I just think there’s something really interesting that TFOne Starscream was leader of the High Guard working directly with the Primes and the fact that he states they witnessed the Primes fall and have been doing whatever they can to sabotage Sentinel has so many unsaid possible implications. Like you don't stay in exile and commit guerilla warfare on someone in terrible dangerous conditions just for your average run of the mill leader who passed away, like there's the high possibility that the High Guard personally cared for the Primes a lot and believed in their cause. You explained it really well, that going against Sentinel does the High Guard no favors and yet they still do it. They obviously have the odds stacked against them and if they genuinely pledged their loyalty, Sentinel could have a trained fighting force with years of experience under him which they could use as their bargaining chip to get him to agree plus it probably strokes his ego if the High Guard bowed to his rule. They could have been living much more comfortably if they just sold out to Sentinel, but they don't.
I also think there’s something to think about how yeah Orion during D-16 and Starscream’s fight stopped Dee cause he firstly did not want D-16 to go committing a murder right then and there, but I think there’s also something to be said that Orion used the words and recognized that “he’s not the enemy” in reference to Starscream in this moment. And tbh at that point in time he’s not their enemy yet. The High Guard have such knights in tarnished armor vibes. (I also have some thoughts about possibilities of why they chose to follow Megatron over Optimus even if the Matrix chose Orion but this response is already really long so perhaps I will save that for a separate post lol)

Behold!
The Almighty Winglord of Vos, Starscream!
[AU ramblings and design choices explained under cut!]
AU Info
Starscream as of right now is Winglord of Vos, as a treat :3
Before being the leader though he had studied Science in Iacon, to prove he could
(the above statement is my excuse to have Skyfire bcus I love skyfire)
Vos is known as the City of the Eclipse since a group of moths are called an eclipse (hence the Eclipse type thing I have going on with his Trine ornaments)
He does have a crown that'd be based off the Radiance (whom I have in here as kinda the "first seeker" but that is a work in progress)
Skywarp and Thundercracker are still his trinemates in this because I could never separate them
I kept his eyes yellow instead of red simply bcus it looked cooler imo (and worked better for the hollow knight thing I have going on ofc)
Considered a great leader bcus he knows how to argue with his people without resorting to violence
However Moths I have planned to kinda be similar to the Mantis Tribe in HK in which they know how to fight but in their own society I like the head canon some have that the Seekers find order in a healthy dose of arguing :3c
Lastly, while most Moths from Vos are taught to fold their wings (which is an idea I stole from Bug Fables) Starscream does not bcus his wings aren't wide enough to do so properly (however he will use the excuse that he can do whatever he wants and its a power play)
Design Choices
While making the characters I tried to think overall what bug might fit specific types of bots (Seekers as Moths [For the most part], Praxians as Wasps [for now], ect.)
Besides that they are less based on how the bugs act but how they look (with tweaks of course)
This is the Scarlet Bodied Wasp Moth

This moth was picked bcus the designs I had in mind making this were G1 Starscream as well as Windblade Comics Starscream (seen below in the wip)
I changed things to my liking of corse, especially when Hollow Knight-ifying it but we'll end with that
Please feel free to ask about the AU, im going insane
(you're also free to recommend certain bots and bugs for them!!!)

Alien robots can have accents
This might be spoilers for The Life and Times of Skywarp fic, but just going through my process in public, because sometimes this helps me think and organize my thoughts.
Alien robots can have accents, because other planets have regions and culture and also because if we encounter them, they can assimilate our language(s) differently.
Also, Transformers media has pretty much always had this as a thing, because, with one notable exception I can think of, humans recorded their voices.
What a character's accent sounds like can differ, like if one piece of media was recorded in Canada, for example, and another recorded in Japan, let's say, then even if a character has a regional accent in both, that character doesn't necessarily have the same type of regional accent.
some non-audio media also calls out quirky speech patterns and accents in the written dialogue.
OK, that's all understood stuff we all know.
Now, I'm trying to think what accents and mannerisms Thrust and Ramjet have when we meet them through Skywarp's POV in a fic.
So, I the writer (and I've noted this bias in the various notes attached to the fic) am writing in English, because that's my language. And mostly it's North American/US/Eastern/Mid-Atlantic because that's my region. But, here and there there may be deviations or variations. The characters aren't actually speaking English on Cybertron, I'm just writing the story in my language.
The POV character is Skywarp, who, like many people, does not perceive his own accent unless someone else calls it out. So, descriptions of the other Cybertronian characters having any dialect or accent difference get filtered through the character's perception.
Skywarp, the character, in this fic, is based in Vos which is in the south and east of Cybertron. He doesn't always know what region a dialect is associated with when he first hears it. He just notices it's different or more difficult to parse.
So like, when I'm writing, I would not say "Nyonienne" is French." It's not. It's really not. It's an alien dialect/accent of whatever Cybertronian languages is spoken in that era. But, I might write that when Skywarp met Eriel and she gave her designation the way she pronounced certain airy phonemes was different enough that he wasn't sure how to spell her name. It might have been Oryal or Ariel or Auriel.
Skywarp knows Mirage, Tracks, Red Alert, Thundercracker, Flatline, and Daytrader are all from and/or based in Iacon, but he also knows they don't all sound the same and supposes this is because Iacon has 'street' and 'spire' differences as well as being a big region with suburbs.
OK, so back to Ramjet and Thrust. Skywarp has never met them in person. He knows of them. He knows they are based out of Unitrex which is generally in the north and has a cliffy Rust Sea coast and is known as City of the Stars. When there was a big Seeker meeting, Ramjet sent Red Wing and Laserbeak as emissaries, but Laserbeak is an older bot with his own fawning skeksis-like mannerisms and Red Wing was a new recruit to their team, possibly assimilating language elsewhere.
I think this version of Ramjet is like if a locally-famous rock star from a metal band (they might be The Heralds or just Heralds?) that sings songs about chaos, destruction, and sometimes romance received some regional knighthood-like honor due to his emotive spark-felt singing and took it way too seriously and acts like he's some kind of Seeker-Rock-Paladin, but it's hard to tell because whenever he's not singing his manner is over-the-top facetious and sarcastic to the point of deadpan lying about everything. But the bots on his team legitimately think he's great and consider him their leader, because he totally signed up for that! Also, he crashes through things a lot.
The Sir Rock Star thing seems British coded, even if organics are more likely to seem him as their mechanical steed than a shining white knight. Does another region have this intersection of musician and public treasure, like if one is an idol singer or such? Ramjet could also be that.
But Thrust is...loud and boasts about how great their team is, but acts mainly as Ramjet's conspiratorial spiritual advisor going on and on about the stars and alignments and the symbolic meaning of colors in other bots' decos and what elemental energies he promises he can sense in others.
Some Thrusts are vaguely Western-like? But is Thrust also Brit-coded but like old British occultist flavor? And he goes about saying every bot is a star and do what thou wilt and talking about magic?
But they aren't really British at all. They're alien robots throwing brutal warehouse raves in Unitrex as a cover to spy on the Titan-building project nearby.

BACKSTORY:
Son of the farming couple Pax, Codexa Pax and Optronix Pax, Orion Pax was born on a farm extremely far from any of the large metropolises of Cybertron. Even though he didn't live a life of luxury and nobility, Orion managed to have an unstable and comfortable childhood alongside his loving parents, always helping as much as he could, not only his parents, but also everyone in the neighborhood, which could end with him. , but at the end of the day, he made everyone happy, and in the end that was always what mattered most to him. Orion spent his entire childhood alongside four other children; Dion (the adopted son of the village mayor), Elita (daughter of the local butcher), Ratchet (son of the local doctor) and Ironhide (war orphan), as they were the only children in the entire village, they got along very well and were inseparable. and very faithful to each other. The five shared a dream, the dream of becoming Knights of Iacon, the great guardians of Cybertron, an order of super-powered warriors who were young members of extremely noble and rich families from the city of Iacon, who were transformed into the best and most powerful soldiers on Cybertron through absurdly heavy training and "mystical" artifacts called "Matrices", which granted them Super powers, a dream that seemed impossible, since they only became Knights of Iacon who were children of extremely rich and influential families, and never a bunch of country bumpkins. would be named Knights. The Knights of Iacon have always been led by a figure known as "The Prime Knight", a richer and more privileged young man than all the other Knights, who was chosen by the Matrix of Leadership, the most powerful of all matrices, and by As a result, it transforms Knight Prime into the most powerful Knight of Iacon of all. For centuries the Matrix chose only extremely privileged boys from very rich families to be the Prime Knight, but one day, for the first time in its entire existence, it chose a young farmer from a poor family from an extremely humble little village, this young man was Orion Pax.... When he received the news that he was chosen by the Matrix to be the new Prime Knight, he was excited, but he imposed on the 13 Primes that he would only accept the title if his four friends could come with him to Iacon and become Knights too. Together they made history, became the first commoners to become Knights of Iacon, and against all adversity and prejudice, they became the greatest Knights of Iacon of all time, being mentored and trained by the formidable veteran Knight Ultra Magnus, with Orion becoming becoming the invincible Optimus Prime, who would become the greatest legend in the planet's history after killing the planet-devouring cosmic entity known as Unicron. After defeating Unicron, Orion/Optimus would be finished with all his energy exhausted and with his great friend Dion being in charge of taking him back to Iacon to rest, but Orion did not expect that Dion, until then his best friend, would betray him, putting him in suspended animation on the ship called "Ark" while it crashed and Dion escaped with an escape pod. The Ark fell and was buried beneath the Earth for 500 years, with Orion/Optimus completely disappearing from the map during that time and unfortunately, being presumed dead.
Until he is found on a ship stranded beneath the Earth by four young miners, and that's where... the story begins.

Okey, I think I know why while the last knight have badass design but why people very dislike or hate. The answer is that the continuity and lore.
Let's go back to bay film comics, in comics bay very clear that optimus or orion pax was a chief scientist or just lower class data clerk and not a fighter. And in the last knight, iacon knights are elite guardians and optimus part of the knights.
Now the question is when optimus is part of the knight? Is he a knight as Orion pax or when he became optimus prime. Now in bay comics it's very showing as Orion pax optimus is just chief scientist and when he be new prime optimus didn't have time be knight because he in war and lead Autobots.
You see the problem? Bay make his own Cannon clashing to each other, now while his comics version are sont really popular but some fans definitely already seeing it and when they see the last knight that clasing each other Cannon, they didn't like it. Also make optimus be knight or fighter as his origin is very dislike by tf fans.
After all a fighter in past is Megatron origin story and not optimus
Yeah rapidly trying to pivot and create a completely different world and history from the prestablished and while disagreeable with its own plot holes felt coherent enough to accept
While the last knight feels like to actively creates new plot holes and puts more plot holes in the movies that were to have created the foundation of everything!
Not to mention how it deloved from Optimus and his team on a mission to Optimus prepared to one man army with tag alongs like sure he’s a badass but its so aggressively different from every other Optimus interpretation and doesn’t match what he says there’s so much conflicting actions and morals it’s hard to feel like your following and fighting for a leader as you are resigned to the on onslaught behind someone you’ve come to far with to turn your back on
Which is sad when it tried to incorporate the themes of knights and loyalty when there is nothing to be loyal to but the ghost of an ideal

Optimus: back when I was an archivist there was one tale I’d always check on
Long ago way before the modern age of cybertron there were a group of knights who protected it from any threats that may arise
Then eventually they found powers to great for any cybertronian to possess so they eventually fled to a distant world
The people of that world were in a terrible war till the knights offer a mighty relic to a worthy leader
With the knights help the people of that world to a peaceful age that was until the knights went missing warning of a threat from the stars a horned demon
Eventually the worthy leader fell and his relic lost to time but it is said that when the time is right another will be granted the relic
Optimus: I must find out the secrets of the knights of iacon that is why I decided for the Autobots on my side to hide out on terra on earth
Earth (england)
Edmund: we’re getting close to your transference cogsman
Cogsman: don’t say that sir you look like you can live many more years
Edmund: you know I haven’t got that much time left we’ve already found the current witwicky to replace me
Cogsman:(kicks a side table over) HIM BUT HES SPINELESS AND HAS NO CLUE OF HIS FAMILIES LEGACY AHHHHH (cogsman then shoots a missile at the ceiling)
Edmund: it cannot be helped all we can do now is try to figure out who will wield arthurs talisman
Cogsman: you can also enjoy your last months sir any requests
Edmund: you know I wouldn’t mind going through the garden
Cogsman:(he grabs onto the handles of sir Edmunds wheelchair and starts heading for a door) I believe you’ll enjoy how well I did the garden this year
Edmund: I most likely will but I wonder who will wield Arthur’s talisman
Earth (us,texas)
(We see a man in a field picking tomatoes followed by a robot mule of sorts he picks a tomato and takes a bite)
Cade: *mmm mm* it’s going to be a good harvest this year aint it
Mule: *whir whir whir whirrrrr*
Cade: hmmmm maybe I’ll have enough extra cash to get you some sort of voice box
Tessa: dad come quick a pipe bursted
Cade: maybe next year buddy
This is officially the point for bayverse haters to stop reading fanfic (you don’t have to stop)

The scene the Autobots drove to was quite odd.
Bumblebee was sitting next to humans—though he had gained three more since he had been captured. Megatron and Starscream of all beings were lurking around scrap piles, the former’s frame tense given the host of this gathering. And the presence of said host thrummed with power only detectable to the cybertronians. The AllSpark framed in a protoform looking as ethereal as it’s presence was yet far more tangible than the stories.
Almost as if an afterthought, Optimus faintly registered the young looking human sitting by the AllSpark. Their eyes tracked the newcomers yet kept the Decepticons in their corner of them.
—————————
The tension between both (technically three due to Simmons being the unofficial representative of Sector Seven) groups was very palpable. Not that Dart had much time to focus on that little fact.
‘Oh, by The One… I haven’t been gazed upon like this in eons!’
Being a whoever-knows-long-old creator of a race didn’t exclude the AllSpark from having social anxiety. It was a master at not letting it’s true thoughts and feelings leak out though.
‘It’s a pretty simple plan when you lay it out plainly. You want the war to end. You’re going to speak with Megatronus—the first actual leader of the Decepticons. Should his answer be less… than reasonable, then you are going to teach him a permanent lesson. After that? You’ll negotiate peace with the Decepticons so the war should simmer down. And finally, you’ll spend a Vorn here on Earth to collect some cybertronian relics that were left here.’
The AllSpark’s stress eased a bit, but it was still left scrambling to steady itself emotionally.
‘I still maintain that removing myself from this planet would work much better than taking something of a work vacation.’
‘You said it yourself, Primus is made of much sterner material to remain decimated like he currently is. Getting the chance to know some of your children in your new form is hardly selfish. As for removing yourself from the conflict, I cannot imagine you would enjoy being fought over. Again.’
Finally, the AllSpark flared out its white translucent “wings” to grab everyone attention. It wanted to confront the Fallen Prime as soon as possible and determine whether he can display even an ounce of remorse.
——————————
“Optimus Prime, knight of Iacon and near last of the Primes.
Ratchet, medic of the Autobots and healer.
Jazz, first Lieutenant and lively of Spark.
Ironhide, weapons officer and loyal defender.”
Each Autobot stood up straighter at being addressed by the very being they had been sent to track down. The AllSpark’s voice was similar to when heard over the shared comm link—only far warmer in tone. Optimus knelt in the proper form for a Knight over a Prime. “It’s an honor to once again be in your presence, your Radiance.” Megatron cautiously walked closer setting him on edge, but the Decepticon leader fell into a similar position—once a High Lord Protector.
The AllSpark’s optics dimmed as a bittersweet smile formed on their faceplate. “I truly wish this could have occurred under better circumstances. For all of you.” While it’s voice remained warm, there was an undercurrent of disappointment and sadness in it.

𝐙𝐎𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐂 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐒 .
@photobombingcryptid and @indomitablespirits both have the same first question! so, i'd like to combine both! post WILL be under a readmore, as it is VERY long!
one of optimus's standards for himself is that he must always be strong enough to be gentle. the world he is in is cruel, and the planet he's often standing upon is a very fragile one-- despite everything he's been through, the most important thing for him is to still be caring despite how cruel the world can be. another certainly has to be that no matter what, he must be a beacon of hope for others. obviously, this can come to be a detriment for optimus as he often has habits on focusing on everyone else EXCEPT for himself. HOWEVER, helping others help him as well-- knowing that he can help other people and bring them joy, this brings him so much relief and joy knowing that he really can help others find the hope they might've lost.
when it comes to justice & mercy, optimus has a strong sense of right and wrong-- though, obviously, it's not going to be to a point where it clouds his compassion. his compassion is VERY important to this sort of thing. he was, at one point, very merciful in his earlier years-- but as time passed on earth and dealing with constant betrayals has come to leave him with a more cynical view on his experiences. he will protect the downtrodden and weak and stand up against the strong that might threaten them, but will also attempt to be a diplomat. above all, optimus just wants to bring peace and serenity... however, his role as a knight and the leader in a war does not help much.
obsession is.. an odd thing. depending on how this is meant, optimus knows that there are some who have indeed been obsessed with him, whether it be due to his role or otherwise-- he often makes sure to not keep a parasocial relationship with those that may only see him more as an idol than anything, but with those that ARE indeed more close-contact with him, optimus puts clear boundaries and makes it clear that if it is not respected, he will not tolerated. however, if this is about his OWN possible obsessions? optimus does not have many-- if he does, he keeps them buried deep within the depths of his processor. he is obsessed, in a way, with protecting the humans despite what they've done to him and his friends, all because they are so similar to Cybertronians... however, this can't go on forever, and even Optimus knows this.
when optimus has to confront someone, very often he takes a diplomatic approach. he will speak to them, try to bring an understanding and perhaps a compromise depending on the situation-- however, there are some people who cannot be reasoned with. he will exhaust every diplomatic option he can until he has to, inevitably, resort to violence with some people. he desires peace over all else.
as the leader of the autobots AND knights of iacon, optimus NEEDS to be prepared for unpredictability. he is cool, calm, and determined on the outside-- he can take things in stride, he can handle even the most concerning of situations, as he must not show weakness to a possible opponent. however, internally, a part of him panics. will this lead to something that will hurt the autobots again? that will hurt HIM again? only one way to find out.

Optimus paused slightly when she spoke English. He tilted his head slightly, but just as quickly as he'd switched from one language to another, he switched right back to English. " Good. I would like to make sure. "
Seeming to note that she might've been nervous on his palm, Optimus reached out with his other servo to press it under the one she now stood on-- like extra support, his digits curled as if to act as railings to keep her safe with.
" I understand... and for me, it is not often I meet a human in such a situation. At least, not anymore. " He hummed slightly, trying to think things over before he suddenly realized it-- had he even learned her name? He wanted to make sure!
" ... Did you ever tell me your name? " He asked then.
" If I had not stated my designation, I would like to make sure I do-- it probably had been lost in the chaos of our first meeting. I am Optimus Prime, a Knight of Iacon, and leader of the Autobots... what is your name? "
There he goes , speaking formally again . Impressive considering very few are able to translate , and though she appreciates his effort perhaps it's best to break the ice a little more before he gets too into it .
❝ I'm fine , thank you . ❞
The words , spoken in perfect English follow her moving to the center of his palm . Don't look down don't look down don't look- surely he won't drop her , right ?

No no please go off and make the Talisman as fucked up as possible. It’s good for the soul
Ah I see that people agreed that the talisman is a fucked up artifact do I have news for you!!
The talisman came out of nowhere in the last knight. But for me I was fascinated of it’s existence and role. Cause the information that we have about the damn thing is that it was made by the knights of Iacon and it was supposed to be Excalibur or something. I find it bullshit cause one like what was the damn point to hype up the thing and never mentioned it again like hell it was never used in the final battle again quintessa.
So I decided to make my take of it
Did some research on the subject of the Talisman in TF media and apparently according what I found is that it’s an extremely powerful artifact in the IDW (2005) comics. In my mind…
“It’s so fucking cool as hell, why don’t I add this in Requiemverse” - My dumbass brain
I been playing around the idea of the Talisman having ties to…
Unicron
OK BEFORE ANYONE JUMP ON ME LET ME EXPLAIN-
Unicron in requiemverse is not just a pure evil being. But more like a chaos god who is fucking tired of everything. Wants to nap for all of eternity and the fact that he’s pretty much attached to humanity (that emerged from his body during his sleep) he’s chaotic neutral and does not want his creations to get hurt, but has a deep hatred with Quintessa for Obvious reasons.
It would been a crazy twist that the Talisman have been a cursed artifact this whole time. At someone point it was originally a powerful artifact that it was created along side the matrix of leadership. It’s the artifact that was used by the first High Lord Protectors to use to protect cybertron from threats, granting the user incredible power. But also those who wields the Talisman can also be seen as the leader of Cybertron’s Knights.
Until the whole mess with the Fallen happened and Quintessa being responsible for that hot mess. Not to mention that they’re will be a future event that Quintessa will attempt to destroy earth.
In order to ensure the Talisman’s power doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. Someone was able to curse the Talisman by infusing it with a fragment of Unicron’s power.
So the whole thing turning someone into a cybertronian is something that can be triggered if the user is in near death, they can either accept their death or “Wish” to return to their loved ones with a cost.
in Cade’s case it was his human body, plus the Talisman had to siphon the energy from the matrix so it can preserve Cade’s humanity, cause this damn cursed metal pancake grew attached to it’s stupidity stubborn wielder.
So yeah the Talisman’s “Curse” can be activated when the user is in near death battle or when they are exposed to a lot of emotional stress, in godly amounts of fury, and the possibility dark energon. It turns it user into a rabid beast with intense strength but it can mutante the user into more “Beastial” form. The draw back it’s that it drains the user and places them in a unresponsive state of going feral and reoccurring nightmares. Which is ironic as requirements of wielding the Talisman is that you have the traits of a knight or to be a person who has a good. It’s the choices of the user actions of what they are going to do with it.
It also possesses a fucked up regeneration ability, unlike Bumblebee’s who’s parts can come back to his body. It’s more like a metal liquid would cover the injury as it starts to “heal” the wound. It can sped up if the user can find a piece of metal and places it on the affected area. The liquid consumes the metal and absorbs it, making the wound brand new. But if the material is filled with rust it do more harm then good to the user. The larger and fatal the wound is the longer it takes to patch up the wound without “consuming” enough metals to speed up the process.
It can also react whenever or not that Unicron is about to wake up or close to waking up. So that’s useful as hell to have.
The user can see some partial memories of past holders but in the form of nightmares.
It can be the artifact that can fully damage and kill Quintessa.
Now for the other question that most people are going to ask do anyone knows about the truth about the Talisman?
The answer yes
Only Stormreign (Who was the second in Command of the last Holder before the Talisman got cursed), Quintessa, and Cube know about the truth of the talisman.
So yeah that’s the Talisman for ya
A fucked up Fancy Cursed Metal Pancake.

A Year of Moments Elita/Optimus Drabbles - Febuary
Long Distance
Her cabin was dark. She had a view of star-speckled space through the only porthole from her berth. Had it always been so vast? So dark? Maybe it had been too long since she’d been in a spaceship, since she’d been able to leave Cybertron.
She rolled away and tucked her servos under her helm firmly.
She was not going to give in. She wasn’t. No.
She flipped over and hit the ‘replay’ symbol on the small, outdated terminal screen.
“I am sending this message out to all the Autobots scattered among the stars. We are here. We are waiting.”
Mermaid AU
Elita-1 had the illustrious duty of looking intimidating while representing the Iacon Imperial Army in front of the robofish people.
Instead she was staring at the robofish leader’s broad shoulders and the iridescent flickers of his blue tail beneath the waves. He was beaming at them, as the rest of his spear-bearing party grimaced.
His Imperial Highness of Iacon had the finest weapons at his pedes.
The Prime was continually being bumped and nudged by mersparklings – lumpy rainbow hued blobs with limb buds. They twined happily through his digits as he gestured.
She caught his gaze and his optics widened.
Valentine’s Day
Optimus made it a point to give out the traditional cards, even though his co-workers at the Archive lacked all romantic sensibilities. Most were quadruple his age, all a bit patronizing. He didn’t mind. He made up a few extra and attached a goodie all the same. It was festive.
“I want all your datapads on murder. Now.” The femme at the reference desk did not look festive.
“Preventing or perpetrating?” he asked. She laughed roughly.
“She’s stood me up again.” The femme blinked rapidly. “Today, of all days.”
Optimus pushed on of the extra cards across the table.
“Here.”
“If I kiss you, will you shut up?”
“I deeply apologize, My Lord.” Her spinal strut was so straight he could have used it to calibrate a laser. “As your knight, it’s my duty to put everything aside when it comes to your safety,” she continued, optics unfocused, as if she was reading from her HUD.
Ridiculous. As if he hadn’t been a very – very – active participant.
“It will never –“
“If I kiss you, will you stop talking nonsense?” he asked, dropping to his knee to look her in the optic.
“I – what?” Her optics widened. His knight was so beautiful.
“I’ll take that as a yes.”
Fear gas
He shook in her arms, optics widening, vocalizer spitting static at monsters she couldn’t see or fight.
It had to wear off. It had to. She kept her own terror close to her spark so he couldn’t feel it, even as hers was flooded with pain. She looked at ship’s map. Nearly back to Cybertron.
“Megatronus…” Optimus lifted a servo and let it fall.
She buried her helm in his shoulder. She knew she hadn’t been the first bot in his spark. She just hoped that whatever eventually separated them, wouldn’t give Optimus nightmares like he had. She’d die first.
Different
“I’ll be different,” Ariel said slowly, lowering her acceptance letter, “Not coming into work everyday.” Not seeing you everyday.
“At first, but we’ll all get used to it. It’ll be okay.” Orion Pax grinned at her as he checked the rigging on one of the crates. “Besides, once you’re a big shot in the military, you can buy us more drinks!”
“Aren’t you still trying for a place at the Archives?”
His shoulders slumped, but he kept the grin fixed. “Maybe next vorn.”
“Orion –“
“Look! Jets!” He pointed to the entrance. “Hey, you guys! Are you here to help?”

Miscellaneous worldbuilding about names
surnames exist solely to sort sparklings according to what group home they belong to (eg, Orion in the Pax Compact). Once they reach independence in adulthood, these surnames are dropped (eg, youngling Powerglide Aerialbot still has his surname, but adult Skydive does not, since he graduated from the Aerialbot Aerie a good while ago). For children who aren’t in group homes, surnames do not apply whatsoever
since group homes are uniquely a Cybertron thing, as hotspots on the colony worlds produce far less children and have cultures that value raising children as individuals instead of processed through group homes, surnames are rarely if ever encountered off of Cybertron
younglings who have recently graduated to adulthood but remain dependents of their group homes keep their surnames until achieving independence, which always means submitting to the government ordained apprenticeship within their assigned function. Many young adults who don’t want to do their apprenticeship will stick around and become interim caretakers, which means they haven’t properly graduated and thus keep their surname (eg, Dominus Ambus, a young adult who remains in the Ambus Compact as an interim caretaker, mostly to look after his younger sibling Minimus)
junker children don’t have surnames, but all junkers have labels. Namely, what city or municipality they live in. The junkers that feature most prominently in SNAP, Bludgeon, Nightracer, Red Alert, and Terminus, all have the label “of Iacon”. It’s not one junkers use themselves, but rather one used on them by others, a permanent brand of what they are to the rest of society. This applies no matter what age they are, and often follows them even if they get a job (eg, Damus of Tarn is employed at the JAAT, and yet is still referred to with a junker label by more derisive people)
(coincidentally, Cybertron has more junkers than any other colony world, and of those, a much higher percentage of junkers are children than any other colony world. Colonies don’t typically label junkers at all, either, and an immigrating Camien is just as likely to be called “of Caminus” as a Camien junker is to be called “of Caminus”)
group home patrons may rarely use the name of their group home as a title to introduce themselves, but this is reserved for formal settings where they are explicitly present to represent a group home in some capacity. Otherwise, they simply go by their name (eg, Star Convoy, patron of the Pax Compact, won’t use Pax as a surname, but might introduce himself to a census agent as Star Pax Convoy to indicate that he is the one responsible for providing the compact’s census data, with his title of Convoy going last)
the term for group homes themselves varies depending on what kind of frames the home specializes in raising. A Compact is sort of a catch-all, usually taking ground frames but often ending up with many sorts, especially in lower class areas. An Aerie takes flight frames, and always has aerial real estate along with apartments and a compound, since flight frames require at least occasional flight to stay healthy. A Den raises beastformers, but oftentimes are saddled with any sort of odd or unwanted frames, as castoffs and beastformers are similarly low in value to society. There are more specialized terms, like Hive for primarily bugformer homes, Flotillas for primarily aquaformer homes, Motorcade for primarily wheeled grounder homes, and Block for primarily toolformer homes, but they aren’t commonly used and mostly exist for specifying on paperwork. Particularly framist people will use derogatory slang like “cabinet” for toolformer homes and “madhouse” or “double bunked” for multichanger homes
a child addressing the one who raises them will use a different term depending on how they’re raised. In a group home, the one in charge will be called “patron” and the rest of the employees “caretaker” (these aren’t just titles, they hold the same personal connection and affection to kids as “mom and dad”, just cued to a different family structure). As they grow up, children will often start calling the patron and caretakers by name instead. Kids adopted to individuals or partners in upper middle and higher classes will call their parents “creator”. The term is usually only applicable once the parent has had the child long enough to help them transition to the next maturity stage, literally helping them create their new frame. It’s slightly formal and places an emphasis on the ability to provide for a child’s maturation rather than the raising and relationship with the child themselves, which is usually why it’s used more among the upper class. Middle and lower class families will often just have their child call them by name. Junker kids rarely have specific individuals to claim guardianship over them, and those who do always refer to them by name instead of any other term, to obfuscate the relationship from authorities and prevent their family from being broken up
mecha don’t really have an equivalent of the English “miss and mr.”, aside from the inherent functionist information communicated by their pronouns. If they really need a title to introduce themselves with, Cybertronians will likely go with their job or function and where they came from, Velocitronians with their relevance to the situation, Camiens with their age, etc. Each culture places different importance on different aspects of a person’s status and history, which affects what people choose to share when they introduce themselves
there are a few important titles, however. Political positions like Emirates, Senators, and Councilmembers are addressed by title and name, doctors and psychologists are called Medics, and professionals at a certain level in any field are called Convoys (eg, Star Convoy and Big Convoy, both excellent group home patrons). Convoy is one of a handful of titles with a mystical origin, derived from terms used by the ancient Knights of Cybertron, although now much diminished in use and definition. Magnus became a term for a supreme judge of a high court, but in modern times the title is only found in ceremonial courts on Caminus. Some city-states like Kaon and Vos and some colonies like Carcer still call their leaders Liege, but that’s usually translated to a more acceptable term like Governor or Representative when interacting with other communities. Prime and its derivative terms are no longer used at all, only referring to the great heroes and leaders of history. Trion is a ceremonial title given to people of great cultural importance and contribution (eg, Alpha Trion and Senator Beta Trion), somewhere between being knighted and being given the Nobel prize. Since this is mostly a gesture of recognition and appreciation, it doesn’t come with a position, only respect, and isn’t often given out
some names have become common names, much like in human cultures. Given names taken from historical figures are still popular depending on culture, and even group homes will use classic names (eg, Predaking’s group home is named the Maximal Den, after the Maximal Empire that covered half of Cyberton, and Sentinel’s group home is named the Major Compact, after a political/military title of the age of the Knights of Cybertron)

Can you make a bullet list of all your OC’s and brief description of them🥺🥺
Ooooh boy, I hope you know what you're asking for. Get ready for a bunch of robo cuties.
Oldest OCs to Newest
Nightingale: My first ever Transformers OC! She's a quiet, battle-hardened Neutral femme with a soft spot for children of all species. Her background is a bit complicated, but long story short, she's used to be human but some jerks ruined that for her and made her into a Cybertronian-like battle mecha. Her design is actually based off TFP Soundwave; slim and pretty with a black and purple paintjob. Being a triplechanger, she has two alt-modes: a Blackbird and a Bugatti. (IDK how to know cars.)
Daybreaker: Nightingale's partner and trusted companion! A friendly, soft-spoken former Autobot, now turned Neutral. In Wandering Knights (which is the TF story that they're in), he's the co-captain of an Autobot explorer ship that crashed on Earth and lost his memory on impact. He met Nightingale when she broke him out of the jail cell he was in, and both escaped of the Labs together. Daybreaker has a very knight-like appearance, making him the butt of many knight-in-shining-armor jokes. Though not a triplechanger, his alt-mode is basically the Regalia from FF13 which is literally a flying car.
Daze: Another neutral human-turned-cybertronian! They're suave and charming with the slightest hint of a mischievous streak. Daze just one day woke up as a giant robot and is like "alright cool", before running off and doing whatever their spark desires. Their hobbies includes messing with the Autobots, messing with the Decepticons, flirting with the local Prime, and hanging out with their human haggle of dramatic theater children. Daze has the special ability to make this poisonous and acidic fog, which made many Bots' and Cons' plating rust. Their alt-mode is a really sexy-looking customized Lamborghini with a pink, gold, and black paintjob.
Comet: Autobot scout and space explorer extraordinaire! A very hyperactive and easily excitable femme with a spark of gold. Her high energy and intense love of space tends to overwhelm the other Autobots, so she spends all of that excitement on doing patrol rounds and mapping out star systems. Her background is pretty simple: she's from Caminus and just absolutely adores her big sis Windblade (they're not actually sisters, just really good friends), so when she hears that Windblade is gonna join the Autobots, Comet quickly followed and is now an essential member of the Ark! Her alt-mode is a small but fast starship with a simple white, cyan, and yellow paintjob.
Aurelius: A Neutral war medic who's the leader of a small rescue team called the Starsworn. Calm, gentle, and level-headed: this mech has very leader-like vibes to him. But despite his caring behavior and excellent medical skills, a lot of people don't know his backstory, not even his own team (sshhhh, I totally have a background for him *sweats*). Aurelius' alt-mode is a heavy-duty, white and red truck with a big trailer for hauling injured mecha in.
Drivebright: My latest Transformers OC, and the most baby of them all! Drivebright is an Autobot scout just like Comet and Bumblebee! The youngest of all the Autobots, Drivebright's cheerful and optimistic personality is like a breeze of fresh air to those war-torn Bots, and makes a lot of Bots coddle the young scout. His backstory is pretty long, but I'll make it short. Drivebright is one of the last remaining protoforms batch that the Allspark made before briefly yeeting off to deep space. As a way to protect the young spark, Optimus Prime puts Drivebright at one of the Autobot bases in Iacon, where Drivebright trains with the rest of his batch-members. However, a Decepticon airstrike unfortunately bombed the place and left Drivebright one of the five remaining survivors. Now, Drivebright has PTSD and a great fear of explosions. :) And oh yeah, Drivebright's alt-mode is a teal and light blue Volkswagen Beetle like Bumblebee's!
I actually have a whole lot more of Transformers OCs, both human and Cybertronian. But these guys are my main ones that I've fully written for. I hope y'all enjoy my info-dumping, it was fun for me, lol.

🚶 @autobotmedic
Send me a 🚶 and I’ll introduce you to an NPC in my muse’s life.
Optimus's betrayal was one that COULD NOT be tolerated. To think the very Leader of the Knights of Iacon would allow themselves to succumb to Quintessa's will! Steelbane's optics flared with rage, looking down to the crestfallen Prime that barely even pushed himself up. It was almost pathetic.
Almost. He couldn't bring himself to feel pity for a traitor.
However, before he could continue with the ordered execution of their leader, his optics quickly flicked upward to a new threat. The medic. He remembered this one, alright, from ages before the knights all fell into slumber-- this one had taught Optimus the basics of medical knowledge. Steelbane had recommended him, based off of the many positive reports that were given about Ratchet's medical prowess. He still stayed loyal to the traitorous Prime? Maybe he should've expected that.
He readied his blade... only to stop when he saw the sword of Stormreign effortlessly be lifted in Ratchet's servos-- and he could swear those vambraces adjusted themselves, separating into sectioned metal to match the knightly vambraces of the Guardian Knights.
" You... "
... At this, he lowered his weapon. This couldn't be possible. It SHOULDN'T be. Was... he really worthy enough to wield the Sword of Judgement? He bit back his anger... and slowly, slowly, stepped away.

" I did, yes. " Optimus replied rather matter-of-factly at Link's response toward him. He lifted his head to peer off at the sky for a moment, thinking it over, until he replied, " ... I was on a journey, to find my own home-- to attempt to restore it and protect the realm that I swore to protect from my creators. " His voice was like the hum of an engine-- a constant rumble, yet ever patient. " ... You look like a knight, if I may be so bold to presume such. "
" I am Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots and the Knights of Iacon. I hail from a world called Cybertron-- and protect a realm dubbed Earth. "
" This land... is foreign to me. May I ask where I am? And who you are? "
Link has seen unbelievable things before and it's not often he's left in shock. He let out an audible gasp and took backward steps as the metal giant knelt down and began making unnerving sounds that somehow became intelligible words. Regardless of this being's claim of friendship, he has a duty to the realm he must uphold and anything inhuman and metallic is suspect until proven otherwise.
Link's posture relaxed slightly and for the moment the Master Sword was returned to its sheath on his back but he remained alert and ready.
"You fell from the sky ..." He replies with a skeptical arch of his brow.
