"For the record, I figured out things weren't going according to plan about two missed stops ago."

Standing beside the red-haired youth, the silver SOLDIER observed the rapid progressing of the railway before them with an impassive expression, showing an incredible degree of self-control, for being someone on top of a speeding train with absolutely no clue on how to bring it to a stop.

The mission had appeared simple in theory: to protect the recently built train line that was in charge of transporting ShinRA equipment from the cargo area by the shores of Wutai across the new railway, built by the company in record time in the wilderness of the large island to improve the deployment of military warmachines on the battlefield against the local enemy.

It was obvious that such a key structure would be targeted by the militia, and as such Sephiroth had been ready to face them when they had jumped on the train to take it over and destroy it. What he hadn’t been ready for, was the fact that he wouldn’t be alone in this mission.

The 15 years old had sincerely hoped that now that he was in 1st Class, he’d be spared from the burden of company. Teamwork had never worked well for him, and the ShinRa infantry had always only slowed him down in the war. Instead, of all things, he had soon been introduced to his new ‘team mates’. Two 2nd Class he had never met before, save for their simulated alter egos in the trianing room, that Dr. Hojo and Dr. Hollander had very eagerly put him sometimes alongside, sometimes against. 

Close to him in age, they had shown incredible potential and were climbing up the ranks almost as quickly as he had, and yet... they were not like him at all. And if Hewley had at least been a tolerable presence, despite his tendency to give advice when not asked for it (it was good advice almost every time, Sephiroth would give him that, but it was still annoying), Rhapsodos... 

The nerves with this guy. He seemed to be there just to remind the silver-haired of the most irritating side of himself he needed to quell.

One such instance being right now, where the two of them had split from Hewley to reclaim the front of the train while he handled the tail, with the promise -- from Rhapsodos, that he knew how to handle the cockpit and would see the train safely stopped at the next station... and then at the one after... and then...

“... Three missed stops, now.” Sephiroth pressed, jade eyes glancing briefly at the building they just drove past, many agitated ShinRa infantrymen waving arms and shouting as they did.

His gaze fell on the red-haired and he spoke flatly.

“I hope you are aware that should we crash, it’ll cause the loss of over two hundred units of the company’s finest weapons most essential to successfully bring an end to this conflict.” He reminded him with a slow blink, arms crossed on his chest. “At least one of which is practically impossible to perfectly replicate once destroyed.”

Maybe it was a little twisted to count SOLDIERs as part of the machinery, but he needed to get the point across of just how much gil was at stake here.

well, i cannot say no to a duck request like this hehe! i am a duck enjoyer indeed! though to be honest i am an enjoyer of most characters, i have positive feelings (or at least a fun dislike, the sort where you go 'aargh this fool is back!!' and laugh at them) for almost everyone. in fact, i can only think of one character i actively dislike! (it is flynn. sorry flynn enjoyers, i am glad you get something out of him!)

i've got a few art notes (and a little duck note!) below the cut

i had so much trouble with the pose on this one, i think something about his shape made it really hard to bend him, but i didn't really like the way he looked when i tried side or front-on poses. these little engines are really fun to draw because i get to mess with shapes and poses in ways the trains cannot usually bend, which gives me something different to think about! the relatively thick lines and small canvas also means i cannot get bogged down in details, as there simply isn't enough space to fit every single tiny detail, and i like that challenge. if anyone has any specific engines they would like to request, feel free to ask, but as i only have a limited amount of time to draw (and i have plans for some non-smol-engine ttte art in the works) i may not get around to them quickly!

while drawing this i was watching a whole bunch of duck and duck adjacent episodes, and recalled that he is in two moments i feel are very amusing, so i have attached those below hehe.

So let's talk about Myrtle

Now, I have doubts and I am honestly so conflicted about Myrtle and the longer I think about it the more conflicted I become. Myrtle just doesn't give off the vibe of the eldest child of King and Diane. He just doesn't, from the way he looks and the way he acts compared to the other kids. Myrtle just doesn't give that vibe. He doesn't even look anything like King and Diane.

And as the eldest child I expected him to be hot, I expected him to be gorgeous not this (that's so mean 😂😂 that's so rude 😂😂 I'm sorry *wheeze*) That's the thing that bothers me so much about this guy. I don’t wanna go to the "ooh he might be adopted route" because that's what I first thougt of Chion and I was proven wrong with that one so I'm gonna pace myself a bit here.

Now, look at this. This is the cover where all the kids are shown in color. The way they are drawn here and their positioning is essentially a showcase of their personalities. Myrtle is the only one who is looking away and doesn't take that much space. Heck we can even see the face of the smol hoodie guy here. I find it odd that Myrtle is drawn like this given the type of character he had shown in the chapter and his hair doesn't match any of them at all. We have 2 pink, 3 blondes and 1 brown. Myrtle's hair is gray which is a desaturated color. That is one detail that I find sus.

I can also feel a distance between him and the other kids. Notice how he's the only one being covered by the blue leaves. This gives the impression that he's behind them during this shot while everyone is together in the foreground and him looking away isn't giving him any good favors either. I may just be overthinking things as usual and this could mean absolutely nothing.

There are text in the speech bubbles that are covered and based from what I have seen in the rough translations most of the covered text seems to talk about some pretty important stuff so there really is no way for us to understand what is actually being said there and for sure I'll be talking about this again and I'll go deep into analyzing this dude once the Chapter is translated but I just have to blurt this out now.

This is a blog for making polls about giant/tiny size headcanons about characters from all kinds of different media, run by me, the one-and-only @tiny-brain. Yeah, you've probably (never) heard of me. I (don't) get around.

Writing Share Tag!

I just started writing the first (out of three) main chapter of Kye Thalax's backstory and I am so sorry for my boi 😭. I don't wanna suffer alone writing these chapters - and they are important for his character arc as a grown-up later on - so I'm posting a snippet of his backstory Ch.1 for feedback and whatnot here!

BUT MAN I AM SAD. I cannot wait for Kye's Revenge Arc after writing these backstory chapters 🔥

(Also it is a pretty dark Backstory snippet so, TW for - Dark themes, Abuse/Domestic Abuse, and Lady Eldora being the shittiest mother and wife in the entire galaxy. Though I'm being honest that whole villain is TW in her own right.)

Kye peeked into the war room, standing on his tip-toes to peek behind the obsidian black stone doors, watching the conversation unfolding within with anxious, flitting eyes.

"You are seriously the most worthless man I have ever met," Came Eldora's voice, his Mother's voice, condescending and sharp like a razor, "I gave you one simple task at the gala last night. All you had to do, was look pretty and convince those stupid diplomats to bend the knee."

She chuckled, dark and bitter, and Kye hated how the sound made his Dad's shoulders curl in on themselves as the young man stood before her. After the short, pause, Eldora continues, rage visibly building up within her, as she tilts her head, "And somehow you manage to make a scene and embarrass me in front of all those people!"

She ends her sentence with a yell, shoving the young man with such force he is basically thrown across the room, toppling some chairs and a vase, before hitting the wall. There was a yelp of pain as he watched his Dad push himself off the wall with some difficulty, and, even though hidden by the doors, five-year-old Kye could see Damen's hands beginning to shake.

"I'm sorry Milady," His Dad's voice is flat and pained, and despite the fire in his eyes, he does not rise from the ground as he speaks, keeping his head bowed. "Y-You're right. I have failed you. I… I am sorry."

Kye felt his heart sink as if drawn to the furthest reaches of the planet's core. He willed his small, kid legs to move, but yet, he remained rooted in place, fear - or some sort of innate self-preservation wisdom - keeping him from trying to intervene.

Eldora growls, striding forward with thundering steps that send a shiver down Kye's spine until she's standing over Damen. "Y'know, one day that 'I'm sorry', isn't going to cut it." She grasps his chin, claws digging into his pearl-white skin, "You're lucky you are my consort and you need to look presentable. Though you'd better know how to act like it, or there'll be worse consequences. Understand?"

Kye saw as his father nodded fervently, the young man's bright blue eyes staring emptily at the warlord, fearful "Yes, Lady Eldora. Forgive me."

Another lovely Spring day came and went. (Y/N) stood in her chambers, looking out the window, fiddling with a lock of her hair subconsciously. She couldn't stop thinking about Daemon. Why did he kiss her? Why did he grab her like that? What made him do that when he was with Lady Royce? So many things going through her mind, it made her feel slightly overwhelmed. Because she didn't know Daemon. She had no clue if this was normal or not. Could she ask Rhaenyra? No, the girl hardly knew her uncle. And, even then, (Y/N) often had a strange sense whenever Rhaenyra spoke of Daemon. Guess she could talk to Lord Hightower. Hmm, best not. Otto Hightower didn't seem terribly fond of the princess. Well, guess there was always the king. The thought of seeing Viserys made her heartbeat quicken slightly. Which surprised even herself. She put a hand to her chest, feeling the slight faster pace of her heart. Then, she felt warmth in her cheeks. Was she... blushing? No, she couldn't be.

(Y/N) took a breath. She was just going to see Viserys quickly, that was it. It probably wasn't going to be any longer than a few minutes. She smoothed out her navy blue and silver dress, her hands interlocking and resting on her stomach as she held her head high and left her chambers, walking through the corridors. She remembered the way from a few nights prior.

She came to the doors and saw two knights of the Kingsguard outside. "I am here to see his grace," she said calmly. One nodded, bowing. He knocked on the door. Viserys' voice was heard faintly from inside, saying 'come'. The knight opened the door. "Princess (Y/N) Arcane, your grace," the knight said as she entered, curtsying politely. Viserys turned around from the model of the city rather quickly to see (Y/N) as the knight left the two alone. "My lady, this is certainly a surprise," he said with a kind smile. "I apologise for visiting on such sort notice. But, I have something of importance to ask and tell," she explained, nervously wringing her hands. He saw how nervous she looked and couldn't help but ponder what had made her so.

With a nod, he let her continue. "It is about your brother, Prince Daemon. I had an... encounter with him when Alcatrax got hit," she admitted. Viserys nodded. She was near Dragonstone, so that was no surprise. What was she getting at? "Unfortunately, one night... he came to me and... kissed me quite out of the blue. I wish to know, is this sort of behaviour normal? Because I was just as shocked upon learning he is involved with Lady Royce and still did it anyway," (Y/N) ranted, her cheeks flushing once again as she looked down.

Viserys was stunned. Daemon... kissed her. He kissed the princess?! "Do not worry, my lady. Unfortunately, this is not unheard of for him. It is, sadly, unsurprising," Viserys sighed, shaking his head, already disappointed at Daemon for such a thing. "I take it he was none too gentle either," he stated. (Y/N) nodded. "He... grabbed my leg quite firmly too. I managed to break free soon after. It is why I came to King's Landing so quickly afterwards," she muttered. Now, Viserys felt sorry for her a little. When one isn't used to Daemon's brash ways, it could be quite a shock. Viserys stepped closer to the princess. "I am sorry you endured that. But, you are safe here," he said, putting a gentle hand on her shoulder. (Y/N) took a sharp breath upon feeling his hand. Her dress went off her shoulders, so she could feel his warm palm yet again, but much closer to her neck and chest. Her heartbeat increased tenfold.

No doubt he could feel the rapid pace. "Ehem, it is quite fine, your grace," she whispered, trying to hide her blush, but it was impossible at this point. Viserys felt her smooth skin. Slightly cold against his hand, but soft, like a peach. He became aware of the close proximity between them, tension rising with every second. (Y/N) was shorter than him, her head just coming to his chin. He looked down at her and couldn't help but notice her lips and her blushing cheeks. Did... did she like this? Being so close to him? His touch? Would it be worth a shot in trying? Perhaps he could make it a better experience than she had with Daemon. Of course, he wouldn't push that far if she didn't desire it. But he couldn't help but admit that he didn't blame Daemon. This princess was incredibly beautiful. Viserys moved his hand to lift her chin up, his eyes meeting her (e/c) ones. When (Y/N)'s eyes met his, she felt her breathing hitch. He looked at her with an emotion. One such emotion that made her both conflicted... and warm. "(Y/N), may I?" he whispered, leaning in subtly. With those words, all her words left her in an instant. Her knees felt weak, his gentle, soft spoken tone making her melt. So, instead, she just nodded. She closed her eyes, her breathing shallow. Was this really about to happen?

And, happen it did. Viserys closed his eyes as his lips met (Y/N)'s. And in that small amount of time, he felt like electricity shot through him. Warmth spread across him, the same for her. It felt so... new. It felt good. The kiss lasted for a split second before he pulled back. (Y/N) opened her eyes, her lips tingling from the brief kiss. She touched them with her fingertips. Did that just happen? She looked at Viserys to see he was looking at her. A smile upon his face. "I-I should go," she managed to squeak out, her voice barely audible. Without waiting for him to answer, she quickly left the room. Viserys watched her, his smile not leaving his face. He knew then and there what he was going to do. All he needed to do was send raven to Concordia...

With Lucifer being the youngest diamond(still smol bab) and Alastor being a pearl belonging to the second oldest diamond, Roo.

Roo and the oldest diamond(Goo kjh sorry xD)are always disagreeing about how they should lead their gempire with others doing their things and Lucifer just wanting to make his subjects happy. Which is not diamond-like.

Cue to him meeting Alastor who in his usual manner acts all passive agressive. Which got on Lucifer's nerves but also delighted, because FINALLY someone who isn't afraid of him OR puts down his ideas.

They eventually scheme a rebellion together of sorts. One that would free gems from their forced roles and change how their society is.

Didn't work. So they had to retreat, still leaving behind the ideas of disobedience.(like some Sins, Emily or Molly)

They come to Earth where Lucifer meets a human woman, Lilith, and they fall in love. They manage to birth a daughter, Charlie, but unfortunately Lilith dies from childbirth. (Charlie is still half human half gem, Luci needed to create a brand new gem cause he is a diamond, but this got Lilith killed, so hi guilt)

So here they live together, Luci with his growing daughter, his confidant(future partner winkwink-nudgenudge) Alastor, and other gems that escaped with them, like Sins, Husk, Angel, etc. (Vaggie will be a human girl if you know what I mean😏)

While Sera, a diamond, is on Lucifer's trail, in order to protect their Empire.

Smol Brainstorm: The Tattoo Artist

Author's Note: Smol brainstorm with some smol angst regarding Jungkook and the tattoo artist scandal. Not sure if I will keep it but I was playing around. Jen would be on facetime with Amity about it.

Jennie sighed loudly as her name was getting dragged into the big mess that was occurring with her boyfriend. She was getting sick of social media these days. One day she was going to never come back. She felt it coming. You can't do anything without someone speculating something. Social media was going crazy over the fact that Jungkook was seen with some tattoo artist and leaked photos of him hugging her.

The public was already speaking out on their opinions:

'Here we go...men embarrassing black women once again. Jennie, I am so sorry...'

'Jennie, it's time to leave him because wtf is this?'

'Is JenKook about to be no more!? Love ain't real!'

'Jennie is about to beat both of their asses!'

'Y'all are blowing this way out of proportion...he isn't cheating.'

'Omg Army Twitter is so annoying. That man is crazy about Jennie. There is no way he'd cheat,'

'Y'all did this with Jennie and now it's Jungkook's turn? Leave them both alone! They are not cheating on one another!'

'I need Jennie to speak up about this. What is her reaction?'

'Y'all are so damn toxic.'

'I stan BTS because of their music. Not what they do in their personal lives.'

'Remember when Jennie took a long social media break because of your toxicness regarding her relationship with Kook? I don't blame her if she deactivates again,'

On a group Facetime call with Angelina, Layla, Trinity, and Hailey, Jennie explained the situation.

"Did he call or text yet?" Trinity asked.

"Nothing," Jennie answered.

"What? Maybe you should break up with him,"

Jennie frowned at that. "That's a bit extreme, don't you think? It's a misunderstanding. You know how the media twists shit,"

"I dunno, I have to agree. Because why would he have his arms around her like that?" Layla added.

"Men be hugging me like that sometimes," she countered while Layla and Trinity were still skeptical.

"You should trust him," Hailey brought up. 

"Hell froze over because I agree with Miss Snob over here," Angelina replied. 

"I'm glad you and I agree on something, bitch," Hailey chuckled with Angelina.

"Really? You guys are fine with him hugging up with some girl?" Layla asked.

"It looked like a friendly hug," Angelina replied. "I hug people like that and so do others with me,"

"It didn't look friendly to me," Trinity said.

The discussion was beginning to overwhelm Jennie as she listened to them go back and forth.

"Jen, talk to him," Angelina said. "Whenever he sees you, you two need to have a long discussion,"

"Yeah, I personally don't think he would cheat on you. This gotta be a misunderstanding," Hailey added.

"Jen, are you really fine with this?" Layla asked.

"I hug my guy friends, I don't think it was that big of a deal," Jennie answered.

"I dunno, you're not mad enough for me. I'd be pissed," Trinity frowned.

"Is this why your relationships failed?" Hailey called out.

"Wow, that was low," Trinity replied to her.

"Because you have no trust in anyone. The smallest shit happens and you get insecure,"

Trinity rolled her eyes. Hailey had hit a nerve and she was right about it.

"Just because you feel this way doesn't mean she has to. Her relationship with Jungkook has been built on trust. This is just a misunderstanding and social media is blowing it out of proportion," Hailey went on.

So basically, the fem!reader is a petite, shy, smol bunny hybrid - she got bunny ears and tail in appearance and also has the bunny/prey instinct like. She works as a florist and is either reading or making a bouquet (or doing other stuff) during her free time.

levi - he's a wolf, the appearance is the same as how reader's is: got wolf ears and fluffy tail as well as the predator/alpha instinct, he kinda got dragged by hange and erwin for some purpose -

He just happened to came across her shop while walking around - well to be exact, trying to run away from his friends - and he smell a slight sweet aroma from the shop and just out of curiosity to find out who/what it is.

And that is where they meet. At that time the reader was very intimidated by levi bcs of him being the predator and ofc the frown he has on his face. So she kinda just froze whatever what she was doing and just stared at him intensely out of fear. (also she had to take over her friend's place at that time, usually she just works as a preparation of flowers) And then the introduction and the flow of the story is up to you.

My apologies if this request looks detailed. You can twist the plot in your own way bcs I hv a thing for predator & prey/ wolf & bunny concept, you know? Levi was irritated by his friends, who had dragged him around the city. He wanted to go home and be left alone. He was jogging through the street, but he slowed down when he smelt something so intoxicating to him. His tail wagged a little as he followed the wonderful smell to a cute florist.

He pushed open the door to see the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen in his life. He felt breathless as he gazed at you, your adorable little bunny ears twitching now and then as you focused on arranging some flowers for an order.

Levi's tail started wagging fast as he felt joy fill his heart. He moved closer to you and tried to control his excitement, but it was a bit hard. "H-Hi!"

You jumped at the voice and looked up to see a big wolf gazing at you. Your ears went back as you shook a little. You didn't know what to say or do. Normally you were prepared to talk to people, but seeing a wolf just appear out of nowhere was hard. Plus, you felt this intense connection to him on a deep romantic level.

Levi moved closer and leaned on the counter. "Are you okay?"

You back up a bit as he stared at you with a frown. You let out a little whimper. You didn't know what to say. The wolf before you was incredibly handsome, even though he had a frown. You felt bad for freezing up, but your old predator and prey instincts had flared up.

Levi's ears flattened as he whined. "I've scared you...I'm sorry. It's just...you smell like my mate and you're so pretty."

You gulped hard. "S-Sorry, you umm...surprised me."

Levi perked up and his tail began wagging hard again. "I'm sorry too! I won't hurt you, I just want to talk to you." He pointed. "I will buy something. I love flowers. Um...can we talk?"

You shifted a little. "I um...sure."

He wagged his tail fast. "Really? Wonderful!" He cleared his throat and hurried around the shop. "I'm Levi."

You gave your name. "Umm."

Levi grabbed a few flowers and hurried over to you as he hugged the flowers. "These."

You gazed at his tail wagging and smiled a little. "Those?"

"Yes."

You took them for him and wrapped them up. You told him the price and let him pay for it all. "Thank you."

He gazed at you. "You're pretty."

You gasped as Levi ran out of the shop and left you alone with your thoughts. You blushed a little and felt rather happy. You were still a little scared, but he was rather cute and sweet under the surface.

Your friend leaned in the doorway and gazed at you. "He's back again."

Your cheeks burned as you thought about Levi. Levi had come to visit you often. He would buy a lot of flowers and plants and ask to see you. At first, you were nervous around him but you soon got to know him and he was rather nice and sweet.

You cleaned your hands and smiled. "I'll go see him."

"You know, he's rather cute for a wolf."

You felt your cheeks burn. "Yeah."

She hummed a laugh. "A wolf and a bunny, huh? Adorable. He'll hunt you do for kisses and cuddles."

You shifted a little. "That sounds...nice..." You hurried out of the room and bumped into Levi. "Hello."

Levi's tail wagged hard. "Hi."

You hummed a laugh. "Your tail gives your emotions away."

"My face fails me, but my tail always shows how I feel."

"You must really like me."

He nodded. "I do." He gulped hard. "Are you still scared of me?"

You shook your head. "No, you've proven you're a nice wolf."

He walked closer to you. "You smell good."

You blushed a little. "Thank you."

He leaned closer and sniffed. "Mm."

You giggled as he sniffed the crook of your neck. "Tickles."

He pulled back and blushed. "Sorry."

Your little tail wiggled in happiness. "You're really cute."

"If...I'm cute...would...would you like to umm...go on a date with me?" He gulped hard. "I know I'm scary still, but umm...I like you and I feel a connection to you. I think we're mates."

You reached over and took his hand in yours. As soon as you touched, you both felt electricity shoot through you both. "I feel it too."

He gasped and pulled out a little brooch with a flower encased inside it. "I made this for you. The flower I got here, but I made the brooch. I just wanted you to know how serious I am about you."

You took it and pinned it on yourself. "I love it. Thank you so much."

He smiled as his tail wagged hard. "Tch, damn it brat bunny, you make me so happy."

You hummed a laugh. "You make me happy too."

"S-So, date?"

You nodded. "Date sounds great."

I'm not going to lie, I have mixed feelings about this tag, haha. I mean, it was pretty fun in a lot of ways! But the website was also laggy and, uh... diverse body types and stuff? Definitely not, whoops.

On a more positive note! I decided on the colors for each of these characters a while ago, and this is also a cool way so show them off! Tell me what you think of everyone's colors, and if I did a good job making them distinct from one another!

(The amount of my characters I saw related to blue without even realizing it... I had to move some to shades of purple!!!)

SUN AND SHADOW

This one was disappointing in body types both for ridiculous reasons (why no harpy for poor Crow? 😂) aaaand... a lot more valid ones. Like, okay, there wasn't a single icon for a person with a cane. Not even for a thin one! So instead we just got Soren with his hands in his pockets.

THE ARCANE RIFTS

Large cast, sorry guys! 😂 Believe it or not, I actually made a separate one with a few more of the characters if you guys want me to post it separately! I just didn't want to crowd this post up any more than it already will be, haha.

Gene is a smol boy, both from genetics (😉) and malnutrition, whoops. Although they won't show up in the Arcane Rifts (or... not any time soon? 👀), I have a lot of Gene's family built out and they're all pretty short, haha. So it was a given he would be, too! Thennnnn there was also the "no option for a cane" thing. 😑

Adilzhan, on the other hand, has always been planned out to be gigantic, haha. If there were any harpy icons, I could've done one for him and shown another reason this man is considered to be hulking! Dude's terrifying, I love him. 10/10.

This is the kids' fully-grown heights btw! Obviously seven-year-old Gene isn't 5'3, haha. He'll only be that tall later into book 2.

RISING FROM THE ASHES

Another place the lack of diverse icons reallllly didn't vibe well with me, oops. Guqayya wears a headscarf for religious reasons, but there weren't any avatars with it and, well... idk, maybe she's not a real person, but I really don't like having anything representing her without one.

Sammy, on the other hand? Great, 10/10, haha. One of the Things™ about him is that he looks much younger than he actually is, and one of the ways that shows is in his height! He's actually 15, though, he just absolutely does not look it, haha. Poor kid.

Also it greatly amuses me that not only is Caron not that tall (meanwhile his son towers above him), but Guqayya is taller than him. Cranky old healer lady ftw am I right?

(More seriously, it amuses me because he's a super intimidating presence. Tbh he's got a lot of muscle--though he hides it under loose-fitting clothes--and he's got a lot of other factors that makes him more intimidating. Like, famous and known to lead a knight's college for one. But also he's got a generally very collected manner, doesn't really show his emotions, and--oh, right. Is powerful enough magically that he radiates an aura of power, haha. Still! It's so funny to picture that in an otherwise almost average-height man! I think it's not done that often tbh.)

Turns out my MCs tend to be kinda short, haha. Oh, well! I think I did a great job diversifying the colors for them, though, so hopefully it'll be easy to distinguish when I start making posts about them again!

Despite the lack of diversity, I did mostly have fun with this tag! It's interesting looking at the characters' heights actually put side-to-side visually like this--I've never gotten to see it before, haha.

Also, this might've let me mess with the numerical heights to better match those that I saw visually occurring between the characters... I'm not that great at converting numbers to distance in my mind. The aphantasia doesn't help, whoops.

Okay. Clarification time.

Regarding the concern for Smols situation, I will state MY point of view regarding this little hiccup now that Turtleduck deactivated so suddenly. Just to help settle some confusion or worries some people have for what may have happened.

So, what happened?

Basically, Turtleduck was asked by Smol if they were upset with the wars going around on our blogs, which started this little hiccup.

Please keep this in mind for a little bit later.

So Turtleduck stated that they don't like to see the fighting going around the blogs. Aight, that's fair. Not everyone cared about the DILF/MILF wars and that's totally fine!

However.

It was this comment that followed this conversation that probably snagged things a little bit.

(Yes. I blocked out turtleduck's profile to prevent their identity from being leaked as I consulted a friend for a comment to double check if I was be a little miffed for no reason or not.) As you can see, the last sentence is worded pretty poorly. This came off to me as "I want ruin people's fun so that they can go back to entertaining me". Even if that was not the intention, the comment painted a really rude and entitled picture on turtleduck. Even my friend that I consulted for an outside eye on this comment spoke about how rude the comment was toward the end and how even they felt like they were self-serving in a way. Not only that--

--Even STRUX felt that it was rude. This is why Strux is saying this in the original post.

Another thing to keep in mind is that, while Turtleduck claimed to have not liked our blog battles (which would've been find on it's own), they were actively ENCOURAGING blog battles.

I'm pretty sure a lot of my moots got THIS same message.

They sent it to multiple large skibidi blogs (strider, strux, another dead, ect.) in some hope that we would all jump on coolbeardrunaway with smol bottles. But my question is, if you are against blog battles...why are you actively encouraging them?

That's a little hypocritical, right? In short, I got the same ask and I didn't respond to it because I saw the previous message and was a little miffed.

Nothing overtly major happened. It was just a series of poorly communicated comments that rubbed a fair bit of us the wrong way.

As far as I know, yeah. If anything was said otherwise, I have no knowledge of it. But it was mostly because of that second comment that lots of brows got raised and Smols became upset. Smols is doing fine, by the way! Don't worry! But why did Turtleduck deactivate their account??

This isn't some scalding hot tea, it's barely lukewarm at best. This isn't some large scale drama either, its just someone being a little too honest with their intentions and desires.

Obviously no. I had no intention to hate nor despise turtleduck nor shame them. In short, us in this skibidi community are moots of moots and we entertain each other through these "wars" for both interaction and fun. We share art, stories, characters, ideas, ect. We love doing these with each other and sorry if that is not what followers came here for, but I'm not going to apologize for having fun with my Tumblr friends. I am not being chained up and made to be your source of "content" and entertainment. I, like all of my skibidi moots, are people with lives and interests. We don't live on this platform to serve and entertain you. Don't insult artists when they give you everything they can for absolutely free. Treating us with basic respect isn't that hard. If I had to say anything at all, I would have only have some parting advice for turtleduck. You are the type of person who makes group activities, roleplays, and fandom collabs not as fun as they can be. If your first reaction to seeing a bunch of people having fun in a community by sharing ideas and making art for one another is to throw a wrench into the works to make everyone pay attention to you and cater to your own personal interest...I can't blame Smols. Hello! I am here from your post of the BG3 matchups / hcs!

I was reading fanfics when I should be sleeping for college and I came across this and figured this might quell my indecisiveness.

So I guess a bit about my Tav / Me:

My Tav/OC is named Maelyra, and her traits are that she is really outgoing, adventurous, kind, you know, the usual (Given that she is a Bard and a Half-Elf). She's very optimistic and friendly and welcoming to new people (a bit ADHD). She is also smol, not dwarf small, but she is 5'1. She also tends to give one too many second chances to people regardless of how much they hurt her. The only time she does not give second chances is if they hurt anyone she cares about because she is insanely loyal and would lay her life on the line for an in an instant for her friends.

She also tends to be a little bit of a hypocrite in some regards, as she spends a lot of time taking care of people and telling them that they are always worth it, no matter what and they should never feel ashamed of anything or that they have to hide parts of themselves. Yet she does not like to tell people about her past and usually masks her pain with happiness (not to say she isn't ever geuninley happy b/c 99% of the time she is actually happy), because she's afraid it would make them look at her differently (she is usually the sunshine of the group).

Her hobbies and skills are mainly on the artistic side. Dancing, singing, drawing, painting, playing music. Anything that is in that regard. Hence, the Bard stuff. She loves, loves, LOVES kids - thinks they are the most cute things to ever exist. And she also tends to daydream a lot. She tends to have a strong dislike for insanely physical activities if it isn't for fun and gets bored easily if the activity isn't something she is interested in.

(Sorry if that's long, I get carried away a lot)

A/N: Reading fanfics when I should be sleeping is practically my life story lol. Because you (as a fellow bisexual queen!) specified you wanted separate male and female answers, I’ve got two companions for you down below.

For you @seanymphcalypso , I think your best matches in companions would be Astarion (Male) and Karlach (Female)!

⭒ Astarion is a great match for Maelyra, even if it may not look so on paper. At first glance, the two have more differences than similarities, however, if you look closer, their differences are perfect counterbalances for one another.

Astarion may put on the charm, but a good amount of that is a facade- one he was forced to wear to lure victims to Cazador. He’s more introverted than he lets on. Although I do believe deep down, he truly is an extrovert, he’s less of a conspicuous one. He would do well with someone friendly and outgoing enough to initiate, within a relationship- and that’s where Maelyra comes in. She’s friendly, kind and very sociable. There’s no doubt in my mind her extroversion would enable her to slowly unpeel the many walls and guarded layers of Astarion’s heart. He is rather disarmed by someone who is genuinely cordial all the time- it’s sort of refreshing to think there are people out there who are sincerely kind and not just feigning kindness or interest to get something later on.

Astarion himself isn’t a big guy. He’s slender, and not incredibly tall so Maelyra’s shorter stature wouldn’t bother him in the slightest. He finds it rather adorable- that so much energy and personality could be stored in such a small person.

If anyone could use a boatload of second chances, it’s Astarion. He wasn't exactly the kindest person before his capture, and he still isn’t exactly the kindest person now. He’s endured 200 years of nonstop trauma and torture. So much of how he thinks, how he acts, and how he reacts is based on survival, not on personality. He lashes out, and he’s probably going to lash out often, even when he knows better. It’s not that he wants to hurt his new companions, and he especially doesn’t want to upset Maelyra, it’s just that he’s not used to having permission to experience all the newfound emotions. He’s inexperienced when it comes to processing them, compartmentalizing, and responding to them appropriately. He’s so grateful that she understands how hard he’s tried, how hard he’s trying to be better. He thinks she must be part celestial or aasimar to have the level of patience and forgiveness she does.

It’s also so meaningful to Asatrion that she refuses to let people cross the line with him and with her friends. No one has stuck their neck out for him like that before. (Huh, get it? Neck??) He used to believe he wasn’t worthy of such defenses. But thanks to Maelyra’s affection, he’s starting to think differently.

Astarion understands Maelyra’s hesitance to share who she truly is, so he won't push her to open up until she’s ready. He may bug her with some teasing questions here and there, but as long as she takes what he says to her on faith, he figures it’s the least he could do to return the favor. But whenever she is ready to share, he’s ready to listen. And he promises to do his best not to judge.

He loves that she’s interested in art. Back as a magistrate, Astarion found he quite enjoyed the fine arts- the theater, art shows, higher fashion- all that sorts. Especially the way Maelyra manages to capture his appearance on paper or canvas. After he was turned, he never thought he’d see his appearance ever again. But thanks to her talent, he can see himself through her eyes: with such precise brush strokes, and detail, he can tell he’s loved just by looking at her depictions of him.

Astarion may not be the fondest of children at the moment, mainly because they bring back horrible memories of what Cazador forced him to do. But he does like how happy Maelyra is when she’s around them. It fills his undead heart with glee every time he sees how her face lights up around a baby. Honestly, the idea of having or raising children never used to cross his mind. But now that he’s free, and now that he’s with her, the idea doesn’t seem so impossible. He doesn’t feel ready yet- and he probably won't be for quite some time. So in the meantime, he just grins and bears it as Maelyra makes him sit amongst the children for song/story time. And he tries his hardest to maintain a stoic, indifferent disposition, even as some of the little ones weave flowers into his hair.

Astarion doesn’t mind taking it easy, as a matter of fact, he prefers it. A lazy day spent lounging in each other’s company sounds much better than hiking through humid weather or getting trapped amongst an unruly village crowd. He’s very similar in that if he doesn’t want to do something, he’ll make sure to let everyone around him know. The two of them can be quite stubborn that way, much to some of the other companions’ chagrin.

At the end of the day, Astarion feels great love for Maelyra. And he knows she loves him in return. And thanks in part to her love, he’s beginning to think he might one day love himself.

♨ Karlach is such a great match for Maelyra because they’re like two peas in a pod! Karlach is loud, outgoing, and extroverted as well, making her able to match Maelyra’s more sociable energy. They’re both optimists and choose to look on the bright side, despite the darkness in their past. That’s not to say being hopeful comes easy to either one of them, but with Maelyra and her infectious eagerness by her side, Karlach feels empowered to choose happiness all the more.

Karlach is big and tall. She’s a tall glass of water for sure. And she thinks it’s adorable that Maelyra’s shorter than her. She loves their height difference and how it makes Maelyra the perfect height for forehead kisses. Plus, it boosts Karlach’s ego when she can lift Maelyra and carry her around on her shoulders as if she weighs nothing. It’s also Karlach’s way of letting Maelyra know she can defend and protect her from harm. If any evil thing comes Maelyra’s way, she can just step behind her giant barbarian girlfriend.

Karlach is also fairly forgiving when it comes to second chances. Despite being a barbarian, she’s empathetic and thoughtful before going in for the attack. She chose to reason with Wyll rather than engage him in battle when he first hunted her down. She isn’t the bloodthirsty devil people think she is, and she wants people to know that. So she forgives. That being said, Karlach certainly doesn’t forget. If someone dares try to take or hurt her friends, she will go into a rage. God help anyone who dares try to hurt Maelyra.

Karlach is truly impressive in that while she does often take on the burden of her friends, she also manages to put her needs first. It’s great for Maelyra to be with someone who knows how to balance goodwill and self-care as it sets an example for her to follow. With Karlach reminding Maelyra to take time for herself, Maelyra is even more effective at caring for her friends. Sleep and proper care for yourself does wonders, and it makes you all the more ready to tackle the day. And Karlach loves that Maelyra knows how to have fun. Fun is super important, especially when you’re tasked with saving the world. It’s the only thing that keeps you from going completely crazy. So KArlach and Maelyra are often the ones to initiate game nights or visits to a local tavern. (They may also be the only two left standing after a couple rounds of shots lol.) However, just because Karlach is extroverted and happy-go-lucky more often than not, doesn’t mean she isn’t serious. She knows when to be positive, and she also knows when people just need to vent. She’s willing to listen if Maelyra is ever willing to talk. She wants Maelyra to feel safe with her- in both happy moments and in bad ones.

And ooh boy, kids! Karlach lights up around kids! Did you see how wistful she got when meeting Jaheria’s family? She’d love nothing more for her life to be about protecting and nurturing as opposed to destroying and claiming. She and Maelyrn would have hour-long conversations, dreaming about what their family might look like in the future. Sure, there’d be a ton of logistics to work out, but in the meantime, that doesn't mean they can’t dream.

Karlach needs physical activity. She needs tons of movement or else she’s gonna go crazy. So to work Maelyra into her workouts, Karlach will either use her as excess weight or as someone to count her reps. Maelyra could get comfortable on Karlach’s back, reading or writing, or even drawing as Karlach continues to do push ups. Sometimes Karlach will alter the count, just to see if Maelyra’s listening. “24… 200… 201” “Don’t you mean 26?” “Of course love, what did you think I said?”

They’re basically couple goals. Everyone else in camp is lowkey jealous af.

Contrary to popular belief, I DO HC Spamton's base form, as well as Addispam and his Big Shot Era, as 'small'. Or, basically the same height as Kris (whatever height Kris is). I, personally, think he was always shorter than the other Addisons, but not in a comical way.

What would sell it more, I suppose, is if I drew his shoulders broader and his head bigger. I don't do this anymore though because I don't like how it turns out.

Also, now on to what I wanted to talk about: annoying messages I receive about my Spamton art in particular, which I have never acknowledged until now. They are scarce, thankfully, and generally not aggressive, but I can tell some of them are actually serious. (I am not talking about Smol here, they are innocent and have not done what I am about to talk about, this just coincides with something that's been annoying me).

Getting annoyed at me for not drawing Spamton 'your' way is... annoying itself. I do not view him the way some of the fandom does, and if you follow me, I don't need to explain again how I view him because I've probably discussed it tens of times, lmao. Gatekeeping fanart is stupid. Stop it (unless it's actually problematic, of course).

Wanna draw him as a 2ft tall gremlin that dumpster dives? Babe, go for it. Wanna draw him as a 10ft tall DILF with a god complex? Darling, go for it.

Just, please stop bugging me, and others, to try and conform to other styles because it's what you want to see.
