It's probably a good thing that Five doesn't have the additional power of telepathy. But then again, he doesn't need to be a mind-reader to realize what just happened, does he?

All she wanted was for him to talk to her and when the regular way didn't work, she went to plan two: poking and prodding. Kalari is about identifying just where you need to strike, after all. And strike she did.

By badgering him until he talked.

Udyati may not be book-smart, but she is people-smart. And most people forget that.

Her eyes soften, however, when Five confesses that he cares about Dolores - of course he does, out of the two of them, his heart bleeds so much more - and that he can't be around her, otherwise he'll fall in love.

Of course he would. Udyati's seen Dolores. Has spent time with Dolores. She's an absolute delight and she would fit in so, so much. In this universe. With him. With all of them. She can already see it in her mind's eye. And she figures that Five can see it too.

"Thank you for telling me, Nana. That must've been... a lot. If I upset you or opened old wounds of any kind, I sincerely apologize and I want you to know that I didn't mean to. I just wanted you to talk to me. And you weren't. And we don't not talk. And we can't help Nani - Dolores - unless we keep each other in the loop."

She doesn't say anything anymore about Five potentially not caring. Because he cares most of all, duh.

There is an I love you in there too somewhere, if Five feels like reading between the lines, and it goes unsaid. Though, hopefully, not unnoticed. Because he's family, now, too.

"I'm not saying you've gotta be glued to her hip in order to help. You can be the guy in the chair for once. I don't know. What I do know is that we're gonna need your expertise to pull this off. Because, as I've said before, you're the smartest person I know. You know stuff. A lot of stuff. So, how do you want to do this?"

"Can't you just drop it?!" Somewhere in the very back of his brain, it occurs to him that maybe he said it a little bit louder than he strictly needed to, and certainly a whole lot louder than he's ever said anything to her before — he's always tried his best to protect Udyati from him, to smooth and soften his sharp edges for her, to give her that one microscopic piece of his personality he can call good, but now he's all teeth and claws and burning, white-hot, knife-sharp rage, because she just won't stop pushing him. "Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, it's not as simple as oh, she's not my version of Dolores, so I don't give a shit about her? Of fucking course I give a shit about her! She's my wife! You think I care what universe she comes from?!"

Five doesn't remember exactly when he pushed back his chair and got to his feet, or when his hands clenched themselves up into white-knuckled fists, but he can feel the smooth hardwood floor under the soles of his shoes, and he can feel his own blunt nails digging into the soft skin of his palms, and he has to pull in a very deep, slow breath, and tell himself to calm the fuck down, before he can uncurl his fingers.

"Look," he says, finally, and far quieter than he expects from himself right now, all the fury draining from him in an instant, "it's not a matter of whether I owe her anything or not. And it's not a matter of whether I want to help her or not. It's that—it's that I—I know she's not my Dolores. I know that. But she's—she's exactly like her. All the things she says, and all the things she does… her eyes, and her smile, and the way she walks, and that weird sense of humor she has, and the way she rolls her Rs—it's all exactly like the Dolores I knew, down to the smallest detail, and I—I can't—"

Five swallows hard, trying his best to pretend he can't feel the red-hot flush in his cheeks, probably glaringly obvious to Udyati thanks to the sunlight pouring in through the window on the other side of the room. It's a testament to how much he trusts her that he hasn't ducked his head down or turned away to hide his face from her yet. It's a testament to how much he trusts her that he hasn't just teleported away into another room and neatly sidestepped this whole godawful conversation, actually.

"I can't be around her." It comes out just a little too much like a confession, and maybe that's what it is. "I have to stay away from her. Or I'll fall in love with her. And I can't do that."

right, okay so as a celebration or something for the sudden explosion of popularity i find myself in, here's this

and now, i shall go in-depth about each phase i trekked and waded through like a heron in dolphin-infested waters. Phase 1: I had just begun Wings of Fire. I was small, innocent, horrorless (that I knew of at the time anyway but that's a whole other can of worms), and still had some good whimsy left in me in spite of It All. I had a simple style that had the charm of a young creature attempting to draw cool dragons. I also had no idea what digital art was. I was simply a sketcher, a traditional artist with a love for the pencil. I was a real good egg of a wee critter.

Phase 2: Still somewhat in the beginnings, and my art style developing rapidly. I took inspiration from as many artists as I could get my eyes on (specifically XTheDragonRebornX, the goat imo). Though not quite as innocent as I used to be, I was still chill and had now learned about digital art, but I had never once considered doing it myself (not yet anyway).

Phase 3: Gosh, this phase destroyed me. Well, rather, I destroyed myself. I'm not going to slander my younger self; I was in a delicate stage of my life and thus so was my art style as well. I had gotten into youtube channels like Inquisitormaster and whatnot, and I got. way too involved in it, to put it extremely lightly anyway. At this point in my journey I had also garnered the desire to begin digital art and post on DeviantArt (classic, classic). And thus, I began absorbing all the wrong tactics from all the wrong sources and trying to become a person that I was not, and it got me onto a path I don't think I was ever supposed to go down in the first place. Or maybe I was. I dunno, but the whole ordeal was quite ridiculous, quite ridiculous indeed. I dug a grave for the magic I saw and created in life I never should have, I'm afraid. It's hard to perceive by just looking at the style I had back then, but I was, in fact, quite dead inside from that choice.

Phase 4: After staring at the gravestone of my childhood silliness for a good long while, I finally realized the error of my ways and dug up those old bones of whimsy. I was finally learning how to adopt aspects of art styles that I didn't just think other people would like, but that I liked, as well. Though I didn't realize it then, I was taking a huge step into progress, and I commend my older self for that. I took inspiration from artists uhhh that one fish person and whatnot. I took on softer features, finding them to be more relaxing to draw than the sharper edges I had wielded in my previous art.

Phase 5: And here folks is where we can see where Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles infiltrated my life, and my sense of whimsy had returned fully at last. At this point, I decided to take a more cozy approach to how I drew, having the desire to draw like I was illustrating a bedtime story (it was in need of much work, but I improved I promise). I also knew much, much more about Wings of Fire and its faults, and though I was much less knowledgeable about how to go about it and some of the actual good things about it, I was much more level-headed than I was previously. And thus, I had the thought: "okay. I like Wings of Fire (in spite of its many imperfections), and I like ninja turtles (which has peak writing and storytelling and is just spectaculous in general). So, what if, perchance, mayhaps, I combined the two?" And thus, my Rise of the Wings of Fire (or whatever I'm gonna call it, I'm still mondering about the name) began.

Phase 6: After a long, grueling, harrowing journey of self-discovery and stupid decisions and all that jazz, we now see the art style I have now: semi-realistic with more expression than the live action Lion King would ever care to incorporate. Along with incorporating aspects of other styles that I like, I also decided to start including more animalistic traits to my Creatures (ie: blue whale eyes for SeaWings, porcupine/tenrec quills for IceWings, etc etc), which, in my opinion, greatly improved my art style, along with the fact that I began playing around with other digital brushes and filters (random noise my love). I'm still developing and learning, but overall, I'm quite satisfied with where I am.

And there you have it folks. If you've made it this far without getting bored, congrats!! you now know a little bit more about me than you probably ever cared to, which is fine by me. I may have paved this road but my man it was your choice to walk on it.

Gotta love when folks write Superman incredibly anti-clone even though he had good reason in the beginning to Not Like Superboy (HES A WINDOW INTO WHAT CLARK WOULD HAVE BEEN WITHOUT THE KENTS) and decide that forever on he’ll be spiteful towards clones even though he literally Does Not Care if you’re a clone unless you’re Superboy.

The omegaverse post is getting. VERY long- so I’m swinging into here-

At two-three ish years old, i think Damian would be on solid foods at that point, granted- he did just come from a cloning tube, so he wouldn’t have had any solid foods- but nonetheless, I don’t think Bruce would start producing milk.

Also, Pit rage + Dynamics?

I can see either that the Pit Rage is almost completely removed from the equation due to Jason having grown up with unnatural instincts, (There is a Lazarus pit in Gotham after all, he could have immunity due to being raised in the hellpit that is Gotham) or it’s so much worse.

Jason will either be almost completely uneffected except for being a bit more feral, or will drop into angry ferality at the drop of a hat.

And you know that Tim will end up being smothered by both Jason and Bruce- though, most often it’s Jason because Jason now has a little brother- one that needs his help and protection from his clearly neglectful parents.

Tim has no idea how dynamics work- and While very much annoyed by it, Atleast Jason can teach Tim how to be a proper pup with Steph’s help. (I can see Jason having helped taught Dick when he first came to the manor in a similar way)

And Steph will want to join in. This pack is a mess, but she she still wants to help. While She’s not full Wayne pack, she is definitely on the fringes of the pack. Not as much as Jim, but still there. ‘Sides, it’s fun playing with a big pack like the Wayne Pack! There’s so much chaos and Bruce makes amazing nests.

Also- Dynamic Headcanons time, in order of hierarchy cus why not.

Dick - Alpha (Defaulted to Head alpha due to being the only adult alpha in the core part of the pack)

Steph, Jim, and Barbara are on the fringes of the pack, so their rank in the pack often changes depending on what’s needed. But they default right above the pups more often than not.

First of all, yesss. Tim is slowly brought out of his shell and encouraged by the combined might of the entire pack. No, Bruce and Jason are not almost sobbing in relief the first time Tim actually responds like a pup should.

Omg, I absolutely adore the idea of tiny pup Jason helping Dick learn how to pup. Dragging him into wrestles and gnawing at him until he asks him to stop.

I feel like Steph tries to stay on the edge of the pack but slowly gets sucked in lol, not helped by the fact that she's Spoiler. And getting dragged into the Batman's side of a pack too. It is inevitable at this point.

Gosh, what if the pit rage like, he's fine and completely in control as long as there's a Lazarus presence- which is thankfully all around Gotham. But like, if he leaves an area that hasn't had any sort of death-juice corruption he loses it a little bit. Like he has to learn how to control it before he can properly leave Gotham- outside of emergencies where he has a pendant or something with a tiny bit of the Waters maybe?
