Thank you for asking! This post will get way too long if I answer all your questions, so here's a post where I talk about some of my fav HxH moments (4/5 of which are KilluGon related), and here's my Headcanons tag to see some of the headcanons I've posted or approved of previously. I'm sure I'll revisit similar questions to these over time as well.

I haven't had anyone ask about ships that remind me of KilluGon though, and it's a fun question to answer! I think KilluGon is very unique, so these might not be incredibly similar, but I'm focusing on ships that give me a similar feeling or have commonalities that I think are worth mentioning. I enjoy all of these ships to varying degrees!

I'm going to stay away from ships from big, currently popular shounen series that people typically bring up in comparison with HxH (JJK, HeroAca, etc.), both because the ships I've come across in those don't actually remind me of KilluGon very deeply, and also because it's more fun to recommend ships/series people may not have heard of already!

Reki Kyan and Langa Hasegawa (Sk8 the Infinity)

I'm all but certain these two were based off Gon and Killua in part--the personalities of the two and dynamic between them feels fairly similar, and the antagonist of the series, Adam, also strongly feels like he's based off of Hisoka. The series itself is less serious/dark than HxH so the intensity isn't the same, but they definitely have a similar strong friendship basis and mutual adoration to Gon and Killua.

Suletta Mercury and Miorine Rembran (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury)

Suletta is straightforward, somewhat oblivious, and grew up isolated from others (a bit like Gon), and Miorine is confident, tsundere, and trying to escape the influence of her rich and powerful family (a bit like Killua), and the two hit it off quickly and find joy and inspiration to keep going in each other. The degree to which they influence, support, and adore each other feels familiar. There are some later developments (spoilers) that remind me of Gon and Killua as well.

Yuki Sanada and Haru (Tsuritama)

Yuki, who has severe anxiety, ends up having his life transformed when the strange and overly friendly Haru appears suddenly. There's a real cuteness, joyfulness, and closeness between them that reminds me of Gon and Killua, and the way they help each other understand the world differently and change each others' perspectives as well.

Maru and Kiruko (Tengoku Daimakyou / Heavenly Delusion)

I can't say too much about this ship because I don't want to spoil any surprises, but let's just say in at least one major way it's not how it appears. Maru (the blond one) shares several commonalities with Killua, though he's at least a bit more straightforward in his emotions like Gon; while Kiruko is somewhat more tsundere initially (due to understandable past reasons). Their bond reminds me of Gon and Killua in that they travel all around together and develop a very close friendship and devotion to one another, and while one is more openly affectionate the other holds back more initially.

(This series contains some mature content, including a depiction of sexual assault, so please be careful when checking it out, but it's fantastic!)

Shindou Hikaru and Touya Akira (Hikaru no Go)

These two are rivals and obviously Gon and Killua are not, but at the same time there's a certain intensity and degree of being obsessed with each other than reminds me of KilluGon, as well as things like their bickering and the degree to which the series revolves around their connection. It's been a long time since I read the manga so I admittedly can't remember all the details, but I feel like it's maybe a few steps closer to Gon and Killua than, say, Hinata and Kageyama from Haikyuu (though that's also a great rivals -> friends ship that has some commonalities with KilluGon). It has a strong canon basis and I remember really enjoying how their bond develops!

Riko and Reg (Made in Abyss)

Riko is an adventurous, plucky girl who goes on a dangerous journey to find her missing parent, while Reg the robot boy supports her on their adventure (and semi-secretly adores her). Reg is also voiced by Mariya Ise, Killua's seiyuu, so it's hard not make the comparison! The personalities of the two are definitely similar and their bond feels familiar.

(Made in Abyss looks cute but it contains a great deal of upsetting/potentially triggering content, please be careful if you decide to watch or read it! It's amazing, but definitely not a series that will appeal to everyone.)

aaaaaaa hi me again, so glad you adore my silly little guys, I’d absolutely be more than happy to tell you more about them! Puppylove is supposed to a lil Cupid(hence the tiny wings), delivering valentines around and such! She teaches about all the different kinds of love one can experience! She’s silly and a bit coy and has a tendency to be a little clumsy due to her habits of getting overly exuberant while delivering gifts/valentines. Smittenkitten is the more elegant of the pair! He enjoys dabbling in the fancier things in life and sharing those things with his friends! Where Puppylove is all about the different kinds of love, Smittenkitten teaches about the different ways of expressing that love! While he can be an eensy bit vain at times, he has a kind heart. They balance eachother out, with Smitten helping remind Puppylove to slowdown sometimes and take care of herself, and Puppylove helping him loosen up a bit and get out of his comfort zone to try new things! More simpler fact about them are that Smittenkitten is French and Puppylove is Irish! Smitten enjoys doing ballet, and while Puppy isn’t the most graceful like him, she still loves dancing with him anyways! She also loves making chocolate treats! She can get a bit messy with it though, but she’s simply passionate about sweets! While Smitten refrains from the cooking part(ok maybe Puppy gets more than just a BIT messy) he will never say no to helping Puppylove decorate her sweet treats to perfection once the main bits over! They are roommates too :3 thank you for coming my silly Smiling Critters oc Ted talk XD

Tbh we can talk about Raph’s struggles without tearing Leo down. Every time I see hate for Leo, especially 2012 Leo, I just immediately think you’re just a bitter person. Leo is not at all a bad guy. He wants to care for his brothers and keep them safe. He’s inspired by the heroes from his fav shows and wants to be like them. He’s just a nerdy fella who wants to be a good leader. He and Raph fight a lot, but they don’t hate each other. They’re brothers. They’re gonna fight and pick on each other. You try living in a confined environment with your siblings for 16 years and never leave. Shit’s gonna get annoying.

People act like Leo is the whole reason for Raph’s struggles, and he’s really not. Raph DOES have anger issues and to blame the others for it just… no. I’m someone who gets angry like Raph does. I have a hard time containing my own emotions like he does, but I don’t blame everyone else for it. Raph wants to be in charge, but he’s not mature enough to handle it. I’m sorry, but he’s not.

I just feel like hating any of the characters is weird. If you’re gonna blame anyone, blame Splinter. The brothers are all in the same boat here. Let’s stop pretending Raph is the most mistreated poor baby ever. Yes, he’s mistreated. Yes, he’s often blamed for things BECAUSE his anger makes it easy to blame him. But he’s blamed for things due to his anger the same way Mikey is blamed for messing stuff up due to his lack of thinking. The way Donnie is blamed for being self-centered. The way Leo is blamed for not doing a good enough job protecting everyone.

This is just a pattern I’ve noticed in general with characters like Raphael. It’s okay that characters just ARE assholes sometimes. It’s fine to acknowledge that. It doesn’t always have to be a case of mistreatment or something. I’ve noticed this with Leona, too. I’ve noticed the fans of him just refuse to acknowledge that the reason he isn’t king isn’t just due to age… genuinely he couldn’t handle it. He’s not mature enough. And then people make assumptions that obviously Farena has to be a bad person, right? And these guys will go on to hate Malleus. It’s so weird to me to hate fictional characters so much. But like particularly someone like Malleus who kinda just struggles to regulate emotions. And then like with Bakugou, people won’t just let him be a jerk. He’s majorly jealous. That is his problem. That’s not anyone else’s fault.

Basically this little ramble is just me being annoyed at how quick people are to jump on a hate train for the rival version of their fav characters. In particular, I’ve most noticed it with the fans of characters like these guys. No hate to anyone who is a fan of those characters, btw! It’s just something I’ve noticed in general. I just think we should all be kind a treat each other with respect.

Why do you ship lukagami

I really like both of the characters heck they're still my top favorite character despite I don't enjoy watching Miraculous anymore. I always have been quite positive about them since they were first announced (I've been in this fandom since 2016) even welcoming the upcoming rival ships from those two as much to the dismay of other fans at the time.

I didn't think to ship them although I reblog a few awesome Lukagami fanart available as I really like the two characters so much. Here's the first Lukagami fanart I reblog. I began shipping those two together when Frozer came. Sure that episode didn't have them interact with each other at all (holy crap I can't believe we had to wait for 4 years to have them actually talk to each other in season 5 which is unbelievable :/ ) but them being good ice skaters really started up my shipping brain and realizing the appeal of this ship especially when this post simply points out the contrasting personality between the two, I was on board. On top a few fanarts of the two especially this from the same artist of my first reblog and this!

Honestly, I don't think I would be super into this ship if it weren't for these two artists, @/15megapixels and at Instagram lilbeanie.artz / smol_bee.doodles that had created many contents for this rare pair especially the former. Here's my favorite art from 15megapixels (a picture of only their hand linking each other is quite touching for me which reminds me of that popular ladynoir hand holdings fanart and the caption related to S4 Truth and Lies) while this comic from lilbeanie.artz is my fav overall because I like it revolved around "second chance" which is one of the few things that specific phrase connects to both characters. The artist also created a Lukagami Bad Little Boy animatic which is awesome to see and should be checked out.

I began doing more Lukagami fanart of my own (unfortunately you can't find it here as I had deleted my old art account and restarted a new one due to the blog for some reason getting shadow banned) until 2020 when my interest shifts to another fandom. Not as great as the previous two artists because I'm quite a rookie in drawing but still it does inspire me to make content of my ships. Hence why I do have such fondness for this pair. They had been the first ship that fuels and explore my creativity which I didn't realize until my late teens.

I'm not going to list out the reason and appeals for this ship as this post is already too long but most of the posts I've seen listing out the reasons, I most likely agree with their points, and makes much more sense in my personal opinion than the canon ship they went for Kagami. I hope if there's a reboot for this show, the future writers see this ship's potential.

oh god it's been so long I was like....13??? Maybe even younger. I was writing NaLu ffs on ff.net goddddd I was so young I definitely had no idea what I was doing but at least I was having fun 😫 my ff.net/quotev/lunaescence era.....truly the dark ages

my fav ff genre is definitely romance with my favorite tropes to read and write about being mutual pining and friends to lovers. I also really really love childhood friends to lovers. I don't really like aus that take place in an entirely different setting. I'm fine if it's not canon compliant, but things like a university setting/CEO/etc I'm not personally a fan of! I also don't like enemies to lovers except for the very few stories that get it right. enemies to lovers is a very tricky trope and it takes something special to actually get me invested. i don't mind academic rivals to lovers though. I think that's fun. Or a friendly rivalry. Or one sided rivalries (love them). As for what I read I'll read pretty much everything both ff and literature! as long as it's written well im game! one thing about me is that I'm a SUCKER for all the typical romance/shoujo tropes = miscommunication love triangle mutual pining slow burn I LOVE IT. I'll eat that shit up every time LMAO you might call it contrived but I will be tirelessly reading it!!!!

this is going to sound so bad but writing has become somewhat of a time consuming stress reliever for me, or something I do when I'm heavy procrastinating 😭 for those of you that have been following this blog you know that I used to only reliably post fics during midterm or finals season bc I would be procrastinating on studying for tests/writing papers 😭😭😭 but i gotta say there's rlly nothing like a fic while you've got a 20 page paper due on incel culture tomorrow. exhilarating!!! i usually get inspired to write when I read a really good book or fic. nothing fires me up more than reading fantastic writing honestly!!!!

I discovered lots of manhwa and webtoons with whump!

- 1 Second: a firefighter can see into the future when they’re very stressed. A LOT of distress, and just genuine writing rivaling that of fmab

- The Ember Knight: the protagonist has no special abilities and relies on his mind while pretending to be his op twin brother to take revenge on those who killed him. Dude-in-distress but also, again, genuinely great writing and… i will be saying this again…

- Polarity: kids with powers with the mc being immortal. Lots of danger with monsters too, and evil scientists. And… REALLY amazing writing and story that just put me on the edge and gave me anxiety in a good way.

- The Blood of the Butterfly: there are evil bugs that only kids with the butterfly blood in them fight. MC was an experiment/secret weapon. Dude-in-distress, well-written characters esp female ones (with the standard medium).

- Midwood: mc travels back in time with an item to stop the massacre of a villain… except this villain and the rest of the story he knows isn’t tracking up. The whump part is the mc being disabled and can’t feel emotions. I am caught up with mtl and… trust me on this. And yeah i will say it. GENUINELY GOOD WRITING. Found family. Not like the edgy op regression you know. This is just an actual story.

- Underprin: Very old but I only read it a year ago. A dad incubus trying to protect his son from his past catching up. Has some dark undertones/angsty episodes along with lighthearted ones. The mystery can be off-putting though for me, it’s exactly what I like. I especially love the female characters (i have fav of all) but i am also weak for more dad and son. Anyway, very whumpy dad. Like, panic attack, trauma, amnesia, a LOT of package. There is mind-control rape in the backstory at one point (no cw warnings back then) and a non-sexual underage kiss due to demon stuff needed to survive. Still it never went graphic/explicit. Honestly not perfect but personally special in my heart due to the coming-of-age and handling of organic relationships…

- The Bugle Call: Song of War: Manga, recommended by the author of Vinland Saga. This one is thematically very different from the other reccs in the list as it is war/historical fiction, and contains themes related to its violent times. Still, it’s not as graphic as Vinland and the focus isn’t on the violence. There’s also special powers. The MC’s power allows him to see sound and convey it, ideal for a general. He’s very whumpy. Lots of emotional too. there’s also someone who can transfer wounds. This is… yeah, genuinely good writing/story that is loyal to a story it is conveying. If you get the message

The 141 needed another pair of hands in the medical office so they came up with an agreement with Canada to loan Micah to the task force provided that Micah also is involved with missions

He is that meme of I’m a healer but and is also I can name every bone in your body while breaking them

He’s like 5’9 and medium build. But he can hold himself in a fight

Can’t win against bigger guys but knows the human weakpoints so he uses his medical knowledge in a fight

Can read French is shit at speaking it. I want his youth to be involved with swimming and kickboxing. His canines are really sharp and longer than normal. He jokingly gets called a vampire cause of them but he swears he doesn’t like the taste of blood. Loud laugh and isn’t afraid to show it

He is very protective of his friends. He kinda rivals Soap. If someone gets hurt on a mission he gets very angry and will literally handcuff his friends to the bed if they are injured enough cause he knows that they are really stubborn

Has had to killed his comrades in more than one occasion due to them betraying him and joining Hassan. So he is determined to make sure that never happens again

My brother's biggest rival in Formula 1 

She was off limits for me which you overall hated

Your and your family had been introduced to formula 1 from you grandpa who was a racer.He would then pass the legacy to my dad .That legacy would then be passed down to your older brother Tye. 

Tye was the overprotective brother type . Which you overall hated sense he practically hated all of your relationships. He would often drop friends due to them saying 1 comment about how good you would look. He would always defend you and 1 time got suspended due to protecting you which almost led him to court. Since he joined Formula 1 it has gotten way worse . He was a hawk and would always watch you and when he couldn't he would make his close friends do it. Deep down you knew he did because he loves you but it was getting out of hand.

But back to shuri she's the main reason why my brother is watching me like a hawk. It was your brother's first year at F1. They hosted a gala for all F1 racers. 

Flashback: First time meeting shuri

That's when you saw her and when she saw you. You would make your way to shuri and you guys would talk to her , mostly being a flirt. When your brother saw this he became angry , Angry because you and shuri were dancing to a dance . Shuri being behind getting a nice view of your ass. Your brother took you away from shuri angry to see yall becoming close.He takes you outside of the gala room most likely so he can talk to you. 

 “What was that for? We were just dancing, “ you say, throwing your hands up at him. “That wasn’t dancing you were grinding on her '' he says you roll your eyes at him . “Look you need to stay away from her scratch that you need to stay away from all F1 racers' ' he says being demanding . “We where just dancing your making it seem like we where fucking or something” you say becoming annoyed with him. “That's what it could’ve led to “ he says as you roll your eyes. “Whatever, I'm going to go back to the hotel “ you say as you back into the gala to get your keys and purse. You make your way to the bar to get everything you need to leave. Before you leave the bar you take a shot and begin to leave the gala. 

 You feel a hand on your arm. “What is it now Tye-” you say before you look back to see shuri. “ Sorry if I got you in trouble, I just wanted to say I had a great dance with you,” She says, ending with a smile. “Thx i would say we could do it again but because of my brother i can’t hang out or talk to F1 racers sorry” you say being annoyed by him . “Oh well uh take my number i know you probably won’t talk to me but please just accept it “ she says . You take out your phone and give it to her so she can put in the number . “ See you shuri it was nice dancing with you” you say as you walk away from her yet smiling . Shuri gives you a slight smile and waves .

Flashback Ends  

It was another reason why he watched you like a hawk and that was that most F1 racers would try and want to get with you , riri, and zari but overall you . It was this one racer by the name of Max who wanted you hard . He would always do sweet gestures for you but he was pushing it . He would order flowers for you and by the end of the week you had around 14.Your brother would get annoyed because the flowers would come at any time. The flowers would either go to his room or his and it became annoying .

After that night that was now 3 years ago you and shuri had been talking . Due to you being worried of your brother ever checking your phone when you're not in the room you named her contact . “Definitely Not Ro” Your nickname for shuri was riri which was sometimes bad when you were talking to your best friend riri. You and riri were great friends since yall moms were great friends you and riri had a bond and so did yall brothers. They both became F1 racers and they would often compete against each other but they always had a tight bound . You and riri felt like sisters and most people thought you were sisters. You and riri went to MITC together and ended the same year and now you guys help your brothers on the track.

At your graduation you got your bachelor's degree which you can now add to the rest of your degrees such as your film degree. You want to become a director and this summer you were hoping to maybe create a movie or show to add to your portfolio . “We are so proud of you baby “ your mom says and taps your brother to get off his phone . “Thanks mom , Where's dad? '' you asked her . “Oh he's getting a hot dog , you know your father” she says as she rolls her eyes you let out a slight chuckle. You hear footsteps and see your dad eating a hot dog . “Is it good? “ you ask him . “Yes it is , I even got my graduate daughter one” he says as he hands you a hot dog . “Thanks dad” you say with a smile , you accept the hot dog and begin to eat it. “After yall finish we can take pictures “ your mom says with a smile. You finish chewing your bite of food to respond to her “ Alright” you say and once you finish you take another bite. 

Someone comes from behind you and gives you a hug. You turn your head to see who and you see riri. “ Hey riri” you say as you take another bite of your hot dog.Riri lets go of you and comes from behind . “I didn’t know you were coming. I thought you were still visiting your aunt in Florida, '' you say as you swallow your bite. “I came back yesterday and I was surprised,” she says . you take your last bite and you start to get ready with a pose .”Come on get in the picture “ you and riri take a couple pictures. “This is a good graduation gift thanks ri” you say as you give her a real hug. Your mom takes a picture of you hugging and then riri gets the phone to take family pictures . You take some with your brother and without them by yourself. “When we get back to the house we have your gifts “ Your mom says you show a smile and you guys begin to walk to the car

You loved all the gifts from your family , Your mom and dad got you a macbook the rest of your family got you cash . Dolla Dolla Bills Y'all . “Thank yall for everything you say “ to your family . Your brother still was glued to his phone he has been all day not really paying attention . He could at least act happy . You pull your brother aside from everyone else to see what's going on. “Is everything good? “ You ask him, confused , if anything is wrong . “Is everything good with you and shuri “ he asks you . You began to feel guilty of him finding out whatever way he did instead of not hearing it from you. “What are you talking about?” you try to laugh it off . “Don’t act dumb you know you have been talking to her “ he says in his dad tone . “Ok yes i have but i can explain” you say to him so he could know the truth.” I thought I told you to leave the F1 racers alone, “ he says, reminding you of the night . “Yes you did “ you say, being calm . “And you didn’t listen to me , I said that because I didn't want you to get your feelings hurt, “ he says, trying to tell his side of the story . “She’s only my friend, she doesn't like me like that and I don't like her like that, “ you say. “If you're only friends, I guess I can let this go, “ He says, trying to be more calm . “Thank you , also can i pretty please come with you to F1 for this season” you ask him and you pull out your begging hands . “Sure it's my graduation gift “ he says you leave your brother with a smile and start to skip to your bedroom . “We leave in the morning he yells “

Your brother grabs your suitcase out the trunk of the car and he gives it to you . You grab your carry on and place it over your shoulder . Your brother gets his bags and then closes the trunk . Your mom and dad get out of the car . “I’m going to miss you baby , But i will be coming soon to see yall and to make sure you're safe . Your mom says before she hugs you. Your mom finishes hugging you and goes to hug your brother. Your dad gives you a hug and whispers in your ear “Watch your brother and take care of him” he says, being quiet so no one else could hear . “Ok I will” you whisper to your dad and you let go . You guys walk into the airport .

You and your brother had separate hotel rooms which was most likely for the best . Your hotel phone starts to ring and you drop your makeup brush . “Hello “ You answer the phone. “Hey it's me ty you're going to be one of my plus ones for the gala “ he says. “What do you mean one of my plus ones? “ you question his wording . “You know Myra, “ he asks you. Myra was a close friend that you had made during your time at F1. She was a daughter of one of the sponsorship men that would come to sponsorship meetings and or the gala you were going to tonight. “Oh Well you better actually get ready and you bet not do you know what instead of getting ready“ you demand to your brother . “I can’t make any promises “ he says you roll your eyes at him knowing he can’t see . “They're going to pick you in like 2 hours or 3 I can't remember . “Ok and remember what I said I’m not playing “ you say as you hang up. 

You go back to doing your makeup and you decide to call riri. “Hey siri facetime Sister Ri” you ask . “Facetiming Sister Ri” siri responds. You position your phone so riri could see your face . “Heyy- oh are you in Australia “ riri questions you . “Very much so “ you say with a smile . “Girl fr i’m hear to ayee we finna fuck some shit uppp” she cheers . “Where are you? “ you ask her sense you couldn’t tell . “I'm in my hotel room getting ready for that gala you know i have to eat down “ she says as positions you at her desk. “Same girl, I'm doing my makeup and when I'm done I'm going to do my hair” you say as you start to do your lips . “You look good, “ She says . “thank you thank you “ you say acting like a celebrity . “What are you going to wear ?”  you ask her if she backs up from the camera to show her dress . “Gold is definitely your color . you say with a smile. “What about you?” she asks, confused. You get your dress and show it to riri. “You are going to eat plus with blond you knew what to do” she says . “You know I had to eat, “ you say.

You and riri walk in the gala and it feels like everyone stops what they're doing to look at yall. Who wouldn’t yall be the finest anyway. You see your brother and he makes his way to you. He wears a red velvet tux to match the shade of red of his car . You dap him up and then hug him . “Did you listen to my advice? “ you ask him in a whisper, hopefully he did and if not its problems . “Maybe maybe not “ he whispers back to you ,  you hit him hard as you let go . “Ow” He says you roll your eyes. “I told you not to “ all though he was your big brother you would always watch over him like he was younger . You look over to try to see riri but she already ran off . “damn she quick” you mumble under your breath . 

She probably went to kiara 

. you make your way to the bar . “Can I get 2 shots of tequila? “ you ask the bartender . The bartender begins to nod and they slide you 2 shot glasses . You pick up 1 shot and chug it without a face , You take the second shot yet this time you made a face. You begin to try to find riri in this gala because without riri and your brother you would be bored . You make your way to riri and kiara they do their go to dance “Yall look so cute” you say smiling . “You and your waist would look so cute, “ riri says as she winks . Kiara looks confused on who yall are talking about . RIri whispers in her ear who it is. Ki’s eyes become widened . “Yall would be cute together not gonna lie” she says . 

As You , Kiara, And Riri were talking about your F1 crush shuri was eyeing you as she would take small sips of her drink. “I wonder who she's talking about '' Shuri mumbles under her breath. I overall hope it's me and not that one guy jax . Oh how i fucking hate him . He always takes her out which is what I (ME SHURI) should be doing and NOT HIM . Everytime i see her with him it makes my skin crawl and makes me annoyed and or angry. Even though I hope it's someone other than jax i overall don’t want to see her with anyone because she should be with me. BUt that dream of mine most likely won’t come true. I'm her brother's rival and she probably heard rumors about me not being able to commit to love. Which is true but I would learn to commit to her. I Finish the last swig of my drink and walk to the bar . I place the glass on the table and make my way towards Y/n or so I thought. When I looked to see where she was before she was gone, I looked around to see her at the DJ booth . I instead just sit down at a chair . 

She puts on a song that gets her in a mood to dance and grind as she makes her way to the dance floor . I try to get over to her so i can dance with but someone else gets there before me . He grabs her waist and she looks like she doesn't enjoy it . I rushed to her but she already handled him. “He smelled like alcohol, dirty ass coins and drugs' ' she mumbles, yet I can hear her slightly. She begins to slowly grind her hips on, her arms and hands wrap around my neck. My hands make their way to my waist and we dance to the song . As the song goes out to the next song i position here in the dance move that i first did with her. “Last time we did this move I got in trouble “ she whispered into my ear while she still belly dances to the song. “Looks like im ready to take the risk” whisper back to her. “Looks like I am to “ She whispers to me ,when she finishes her statement she does a light smirk. She was in a black dress with a shimmer while I was wearing a black suit and silver jewelry .

We find a way in the girls bathroom kissing . Y/n against the wall and me on top of her.We take short breaks between kisses giving us little time to breath. One of her hands makes its way on my neck while the other lays on my chest. I begin to give slight kisses on her neck and she lets out soft moans. Music to my ears. Someone opens the door in the side eye to see riri who quickly rushes out. 

We made our way back to my hotel room which was nowhere close to hers nor tye’s . I begin to watch tv on the bed lying down. Y/n was watching the tv at the far end of the bed. She crawls close to me on the bed. She begins to lay on top of me and as she does i grip her ass causing a slight yelp out of her. We watch a 90s sitcom as we sleep.

For us to be resting eachother we sure are doing the opposite.

wot reread: overall view from EotW through tFoH

Some of my feelings have definitely changed from what I remembered from my last read!

spoilers through the fires of heaven

Fav arcs (not in order except #1):

1. Mat coming to terms with Rand being a channeler/TDR.

I had no memory of how well this was written! It’s gradual, it’s natural, it’s got so many complicated layers of emotion. Mat starts out being terrified of Rand and not sure how he can ever call him a friend again in The Great Hunt, and slowly progresses through several different stages until he arrives at not being scared of Rand’s channeling at all and definitely considering him a friend again in the Fires of Heaven, while still being nervous about literally every other channeler who exists in the series and not wanting anything to do with the fate that’s been laid out for him.

I would kill for this kind of nuance and growth in literally any of the canon romances in the series. They share so many great scenes together and it’s shown multiple times that they understand each other better than the other characters do, even in the tough times (Mat sitting quietly with Rand in TSR after the revelations about his family; Rand’s very sincere “I’m sorry you had to [kill Melindhra]” to Mat in TFOH). Rand rescues Mat from death twice in very cinematic ways. Mat is the one who single duels to the death the man who is challenging Rand’s right to be Car’a’carn. From EotW to TFOH, they are the two characters who are the most deeply connected on a narrative level and who go through the most character-changing scenes together and because of each other. And they also suffer incredibly similar traumas and struggles (though the narrative never lets them talk about it together). It really is a shame that as Mat has fully come to terms with Rand as a channeler, Rand is sliding into his arbitrary Men To Be Used/Women To Be Protected false binary.

2. Rand and LTT. For all my complaints about how Rand’s No Killing The Women fixation is kinda arbitrary (given the culture he grew up in), Rand increasingly hearing Lews Therin’s voice and how that affects him is so well done in general. Rand’s scenes involving remembering the Forsaken hit hard; I love the way LTT becomes more and more clear as a personality as we continue through the series.

3. For all that I have my complaints about Perrin and Faile’s romance and for all that I think the whole Lord of the Two Rivers thing makes no sense for Perrin’s story, I do really enjoy a lot of the actual stuff that happens during the Defense of the Two Rivers. I loved getting to see Tam and Verin, etc again and having them brought back into the story, even if it kinda kills me that Perrin doesn’t tell Tam that his son is the Dragon Reborn -- you can tell random strangers but not Rand’s DAD?!? Haha, so this is the most complicated of my favorite arcs.

4. Elayne and Nynaeve’s relationship is a treat as well. Complicated (sometimes they get on each other’s nerves, sometimes they are a united front) but often very very funny. They both go through a lot of character growth on their trip together. Their journey as a whole was very enjoyable, even as I was shouting at them to go to Tear or Cairhien.

5. Asmodean teaches Rand. Short-lived but fascinating while it lasted. Asmodean not being a better man but being willing to do what it takes to live just a bit longer. Rand never coming to trust him but having a complex relationship regardless. There was so much meat and potential here and it’s a shame that it only lasted for a single book.

6. Rand’s journey in TGH of Learning How To Lord (culminating in his hilarious stint in Cairhien) is quite good, actually. It has funny and touching moments and it contains several lessons that Rand genuinely needs to learn, due to all the various cultures he will need to interact with and take charge of in order to prepare for the Last Battle.

7. Moghedien’s journey to becoming Nynaeve’s Arch Rival is pretty fascinating as well. She is so obsessed with Nynaeve at this point; it’s definitely overshadowed whatever instructions she might have from TDO or any of her previous goals about taking down LTT/Rand. She is all about Making Nynaeve Suffer at this point. And then Nynaeve’s triumph over her at the end of TFOH is such a great, complicated moment. Nynaeve gains a captured Forsaken just as Rand is losing his. Kinda narratively poetic, even if Asmodean is Gone Too Soon for my tastes.

8. Speaking of Interesting Things in Tanchico, Egeanin’s mini-arc here of understanding that marath’damane (and thus damane) are actually just... people is fantastic. Definitely the highlight of anything Seanchan-related so far, though Cerandin and her s’drit during the circus arc is also good. The normal, non-Blood & non-sul’dam members of Seanchan society are so much more interesting than the elite/highborn members that we’ve met.

9. Rand and Mat’s road trip in EotW! Best part of the book imo. It’s so intense and it has some trippy fun narrative stuff going on, and so many great moments packed into a relatively short time frame. Honestly, road trips in general seem to bring out some fascinating angles of characterization.

10. Birgitte’s journey from TAR to the waking world. Includes her trying to poke at Nynaeve to get her to forgive herself and not take the blame for Birgitte’s own choices, Elayne bonding Birgitte, Birgitte’s sadness over not being born in sync with Gaidal, then her getting to go back to TAR to help Nynaeve against Moghedien, etc. Lots of great things here.

Least fav arcs (or themes):

1. Egwene breaks her promises and lies to everyone, and harshly punishes/attacks her friends when they (unknowingly) come close to revealing her lies/broken promises. It doesn’t make her a badly-written character -- this all stems from one of her key character traits, her desire to learn No Matter What plus I feel like a lot of it can be traced to her trauma from the Seanchan -- but it does make her very frustrating at the moment. I would like to move past this part of her character arc as swiftly as possible, lol. It’s kinda funny that it feels like Egwene has just as many trust issues as Rand but it feels like she gets called out on it a lot less frequently (in the narrative).

2. Women and Men Just Can’t Understand Each Other. Yes, I know it’s one of the central conceits of the series. But it’s so frustrating and frequently makes so little sense. Falling under this umbrella, I think, is how almost every woman in Rand’s life trusts each other with secrets but rarely ever trusts Rand. Some incredibly nonsense scenes come out of Women and Men Just Can’t Understand Each Other. And whenever Jordan forgets to write them as Women and Men and just writes them as people with various character traits, they actually DO sometimes understand each other just fine (or not, but it’s based on who they are as people rather than WaMJCUEO).

3. In a similar vein: Elayne’s Two Letters. In this reread, they’re just so transparently a narrative excuse so that Rand can have sex with Aviendha guilt-free (on his part; she feels guilty as eff). Essentially, a secret breakup that only Rand knows about, so literally everyone else (who knew that he and Elayne were together in the Stone of Tear) still thinks of Rand/Elayne as The Couple but Rand knows they actually aren’t right now. And it’s even more frustrating because of how often we see Elayne Just Getting It when it comes to Rand and the hard political choices that he must make, so this misunderstanding looming so large in their relationship feels like it doesn’t fit at all with the rest of how Elayne and Rand’s relationship is characterized.

4. Moiraine assigns Lan to another Aes Sedai against his will. Look. Look. If you’re going to go against custom anyway, why not freaking ask Lan and Nynaeve if THEY want to be bonded together. Yes, it’s against custom for an Accepted to have a Warder, but so is what Moiraine actually did. I just feel so awful for Lan here, getting treated this way by Moiraine. And she does this before she knows that she’s going to go through the doorway! She doesn’t learn about that until Rhuidean but she preps to transfer the bond ages before that.

5. Corporal punishment for everyone! Corporal punishment for days! Every institution or group uses violence as one of their main teaching/punishment tools. For all the various cultural distinctions in Randland, all of the cultures beat their students and in all cultures Women and Men Just Can’t Understand Each Other.

7. Min talks herself into loving Rand and manages to make Loving Rand her main personality trait even before she’s reunited with him. How? Why? She has such a neat superpower, surely Jordan could have thought of a better plotline for her.

8. Perrin becoming ‘Lord of the Two Rivers’. It makes no real sense with the themes of his character and doesn’t make sense with how the Two Rivers has previously been characterized as a community. All the various petty thoughts Perrin has about the people of the Two Rivers doesn’t help.

Top 10 characters (in alphabetical order because I can’t pick):

1. Asmodean! My favorite Forsaken tbh. He’s definitely Not A Good Person but he’s interesting and we get some great on-page time with him. He was definitely not around long enough! Would have loved him as Rand’s teacher for more than one book.

2. Aviendha! My love. She is still pretty violent and jealous by the end of this book and she confuses me frequently, but she is never boring and her storyline with Rand in TSR/TFOH is really good and believably paced until we get to the bit with the actual sex.

3. Bashere! A lot of impact in a single scene. Partly I’m influenced by having just finished TFoH but it’s such a relief to run across someone who listens to Rand’s arguments about how important saving the world is and how frustrating all the politics have been and going... yeah, agreed, I will 100% work with you.

4. Elayne! Her scenes are always Such A Delight To Read. She can frustrate me at times (let’s not talk about her flirting with Thom lol) but her internal narration is so charming. I love her journey of self-discovery, I love most of her struggles with the various things that she wants.

5. Mat! His head is a fascinating place to visit tbh. He does an impressive amount of lying to himself (which doesn’t bother me the way that lying to other people does) yet Jordan does an equally impressive job of making it clear what’s really going on.

6. Morgase! Another one that I didn’t remember that I liked so much at this point. But her managing to hold onto so much of herself through Rahvin’s Compulsion is so impressive and though she doesn’t have many scenes in these books, we can see her character shining through. Lini is kinda attached here as a rider to Morgase; I love their relationship, though I wish it were possible for me to let her know that Morgase was magically compelled to love ‘Gaebril’.

7. Nynaeve! So much love and affection for this women who is Trying So Hard at all times. I hated so much that she got beaten down so hard in TFOH, but the last scenes with her in Salidar are pretty great. I love her struggle with trying to forgive herself with what she (believes) she did to Birgitte -- which is actually a fairly good match to Rand’s struggle to accept that the Maidens made their own choices to risk their lives, I realize.

8. Rand! It can be depressing AF to be in his head sometimes, but it’s generally quite interesting and I have deep, deep affection for him. He’s on a negative character growth arc, becoming harder and angrier, etc. as a person but when we’re inside his head, we can see how much regret he has over it even when it doesn’t show on the outside or he denies it. And we sometimes get these pure moments where we can see that the boy from EotW is still in there.

9. Siuan! A surprise addition tbh. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed her sheer determination after she gets stilled. She forces herself to want to live again by force of will and I am in awe. I really hope we get most of her arc in the show (except one or two elements lol).

10. Verin! We have not see enough of her yet in the series but I feel safe including her, even with what we have seen. Always a thrill to see Verin pop up.

Fav scenes (not in order; incomplete):

1. Nynaeve vs Moghedien in Tanchico. Tense. Amazing ending!

5. Breaking into the Stone of Tear, all sides of it.

6. Faile and Perrin’s wedding is good, actually, and gets to me. Even if I think it happened way too soon.

7. Rand and Aviendha’s encounter with the Seanchan post-igloo. FASCINATING. The Seanchan culture gives me a visceral disgust but I do appreciate some of the scenes where we learn more about how their culture works and the ways in which their culture is so incredibly broken.

8. Moiraine going through the doorway with Lanfear. Top marks for Damodred dramatics.

9. The Heroes of the Horn and the Battle at Falme.

10. Rand gets told he’s the Dragon Reborn while facing the Amrylin Seat (and Moiraine and Verin).

11. Mat sits quietly with Rand after Rand finds out about his birth parents and they’ve both gone through the trauma of Rhuidean.

12. Rand tries to make Elayne a flower out of feathers; she keeps the feathers because he wanted it to be a flower.

13. Elayne walking the tightrope without her cushion of Air to protect her from potential death! I feel like it sums her up so well as a character.

14. Rand coming to Cold Rocks Hold and doing the Aiel welcoming ceremony with Lian. It’s such a heartwarming moment when both he and Lian mix Aiel and wetlander customs and she honors him so highly.

15. Egwene helping Rand hide from the Aes Sedai in TGH.

16. Nynaeve playing at being a broken bird so that she can capture Moghedien in TAR.

17. Rand stalking Rahvin through TAR while Nynaeve and Moghedien are scrambling around with Nynaeve trying to figure out how to help. And then Rand reuniting briefly with Nynaeve and then his transcendently happy reunion with Aviendha and Mat being alive again after Rahvin had killed them. These two chapters are just very tense and thus such relief at the ending of them!

Thoughts on canon Romances so far:

For the Rand romances: Rand/Elayne is top-tier content whenever they’re allowed to interact, which isn’t anywhere near often enough. Rand/Aviendha is solid enemies-to-frie... oops, Jordan’s heavy foot on the gas kinda skipped them straight to lovers. But I like that Aviendha is still generally prickly after they have sex. It’s still enemies-to-lovers in her heart, even if they’ve already had sex, and I respect that. Rand/Min basically only exists in Min’s head at this point. Rand has had an occasional sexy dream/thought about her but that does not make for a relationship.

For Egwene: Egwene’s romances really have the heaviest Hand of Author on them. Her backstory with Rand changes too many times to count, but also her feelings about Galad and Gawyn essentially get retroactively swapped between books. So, at this point, my assessment of her romances is ????

For Mat: honestly, my main feeling post-TFoH is ‘not everyone needs to end up in a relationship just let the man be a free spirit he is hurting NO ONE’ lol. Like, I ship cauthor pretty hard at this point but, canon-wise, Mat just wants casual romances that end when his situation changes and that’s a perfectly valid thing for him to want as long as he’s honest with his sex partners. He doesn’t need to be stuffed into a monogamous relationship and it made him unhappy when Melindhra essentially boxed him into one.

For Perrin: oh, boy. His relationship with Faile has occasional good moments (the wedding was very nice! and so was his letter) but... overall. Yikes. Toxic heterosexuality, if that’s a thing. Kinda hoping it gets better now that they’re married. I’m trying to keep an open mind for my reread lol.

For Nynaeve: her romance with Lan doesn’t have enough screentime, but it’s probably the most solid of Jordan’s romances. Already approve of the changes that the show has made to bring this out more in S1 tho.

I decided to break these into three sections due to books 1-5 kinda dealing with similar character dynamics and ending on such a high/triumphant note (though with some undertones of danger in Rand’s overdosing of saidin and how it has been affecting him).

This feels like a nice place to take stock of my feelings, since the next book kinda shifts the characters to their new places for books Lord of Chaos-Knife of Dreams (I figured it also made sense to evaluate the Sanderson books separately; I’m going to do my best of look at... certain characters as if I didn’t know how the series ends for them and take them as they come). And Lord of Chaos is kinda a transition book, iirc, where we begin to move into The New Normal for several of the characters going forward.

fine, since a lot of you are curious. this lacks a lot of small points and is just the broad description I made for a friend who knows nothing. also i was being a little silly, If i forgot points or remembered wrong feel free to tell me, but be nice

Part 1. so first appearance of eg eater was in august. I was given a bomb that turned into an eg that I threw at a slugcat but the slugcat ate the eg. on further examination it was a slugpup who is very hard to kill and can eat anything as long as it looks like an eg. there were a couple attempts to kill eg eater but that just started the eg eater colon and built their home. at the end of the day eg eater was fed and happy.

Part 2. People wanted to see what hatches from the egs, we all held eg eater back with distractions and food until the eg hatched… into a different coloured eg. this continued several times until we got a rainbow eg that hatched into a new companion, Gay baby leviathan. we put him in a fishbowl. meanwhile someone wanted a rival for eg eater and called over lizard eater, but they are chill because they are cousins, we also find out that eg earers mom is slugcat eater. also an anon decided that they are all trans.

part 3: kidnapping, we lost baby leviathan for a short bit but turns out a Zari was just teaching them how to make a pipe bomb. Then suddenly, Ardieno decides to kidnap the whole colony, I must pay two thousand million rocks to get them back (Ardie is important to the eg eater lore, remember them). I get the rocks from donations and I got them back. but due to the kidnapping an anon decides to steal the house of Ardieno, when told to return it they only give the outside back and turn the insides into an egg, the eg explodes and the insides are returned

part 4: Eg Eater is turned into an iterator and given a mouth, named Thousands of Devoured Egs. Eg eater can shift between these forms. Also, it is then eg eater bath time, Eg eater does not want a bath, we eventually lure eg eater in and give them a bath. but then, an anon drinks the bath water but finds out it is toxic and becomes the first villain, Eg Long Legs. we also meet Jeremy the void god, and reschedule a good time for corruption.

part 5: a bunch of people start living in my inbox for a bit, they summon fire, water, rivulet, explosives. Eg eater is taken in by Ardieno during all of the chaos. it all ends fine, the house insides get stolen again. EG long legs returns, and tries to eat normal slugpup. but gets crushed by a tree. then eg long legs spits out the house insides.

part 6: Ardieno tries tricking me into signing adoption papers, so we now co parents of the pups. The paperwork gets destroyed and remade a billion times. it ends fine. Eg long legs comes back and Ardieno protects the slugpups but suddenly eg long legs wants to eat Ardieno. Void god Jeremy shows up and kills Eg long legs and the day is saved.

part 7: New scug is introduced, the Antecedent, adult slugcat who likes hoarding, is based off of brown alpha rain world scug. so new gang is large. my hat then gets turned into an eg. it is hatched and we get! trans baby leviathan , tank baby. also eg long legs does come back chaos ensues. nukes, shelters, cheese, yeeks. also invasion yeek brained fake slugpups who crave something. not important stuff

part 8: antecedent chaos, we all go on a road trip to my sideblog to visit tbol because eg eater was launched there. eg long legs shows up again, angry because nobody voted for them on the fav eg eater character poll and we all fight them. eg eater is safe at home and we all chill again.

part: to be concluded, just wait and see

honestly interaction I just had feels like:

anyways I just wrote the entire eg eater lore for an hour

Anyone even want to begin to explain why so many Dramione fics are based off of slavery slaver tropes and then an additional BREEDING kink on top of that? I mean joke's on you, I read all of 'em, but the amount of feminism found in Tomione fics is abundantly shown. There's just so much more equality in how they're written. Also, every Tomione I've ever read writes Hermione as cleverer and I love that. Tom is just so unbearably arrogant and gets his just desserts and there's no savior complex in how there is with Dramione and Draco CONSTANTLY saving Hermione from peril, either rape or other kind. Tom Riddle on the other hand hears abt a plot against Hermione goes to save her, and winds up just being backup to Hermione's demolishion show. He is the bi wife husband in all of the fics whether he wants to be or not. Also, it's completely fanon that Draco Malfoy is Hermione's academic rival. Yeah, colour me surprised. So Hermione actually having that banter would be more plausible with Tom.

This isn't me bashing dramione or promoting tomione i'm a tombraxas shipper - but it's just so FUCKING FUNNY to see the difterences clearly shown in these two pairings.

Also the fact that in most of these Dramione stories it's actively shown that Draco had some fetish for Hermione from their Hogwarts days is staggeringly discomforting because he viewed her an object and only then slowly through char development did he begin to see her as a person. Draco respecting Hermione and then loving her is the end goal for Dramione.

Whereas with Tomione, Tom instantly sees Hermione as some sort of threat aka he already does not underestimate her or he stops v quickly. Respect is not the end goal. For him shattering his walls and letting people in is the end goal. Not once does he truly think Hermione stupid or less than a person. Most likely because he grew up around so many women (esp during the 30s and 40s when they had to work traditionally men's jobs and were the sole care takers of the world while the men were off at war) . And Hermione is not sleeping w him or seducing him to survive or because it's forced on her. She is a Femme Fatale. She is here to kill him. Also in a way Hermione's end goal is to let people in and shatter her walls. It's quite cute.

Tom Riddle sees Hermione as a person and then can have all of those uncomfortable feelings (ugh, how dare I feel anything for a lesser mortal human being ughhhhh) because he doesn't need to first go like (oh wow look at that she actually exists as a person and not a filthy mudblood i have been forced into close quarters with due to orders and I am good and I am actually a kind person BUT ONLY after I first stop associating your kind with dogs and such). Tom, on the other hand is having an existential crisis about emotions (mainly cuz he's going thru puberty in most of these time travel hogwarts fics when the draco ones mainly tend to be early to mid 20s)

However the framing of these pairings in terms of Hermione's position are completely inverted. She is a powerful witch turned victim who needs Draco and depends on him until HE gives her the power back to be herself. When with Tom she is a powerful witch with a mission in mind and he feels threatened by her power (as does she by his) until they both get on some equalibrium. Hermione does not lose her agency in Tomione fics. She does not need Tom to piece her back together and send her off into the world.

If anything it's Hermione with a victim saving complex in Tomione fics. But that's on ingrained sexism in media tropes where women tend to be healers and help the misguided terrorist.

All I'm saying is that Dramione Hermione and Tomione Hermione would absolutely not mesh well. D!Hermione would not get one punch in before T!Hermione demolished her.

Next up I'll talk about my fav variation of these: Volmione. Because that pairing in particular takes the worst out of these two and just CRAMS them in together. And i love it.
