Getting yelled at on the 2016 definition post for copinglink for "taking away" the term from someone's friend who "identified with it for years" because ....... the person never bothered to check the term's definition and had a "crisis" when they inevitably found out what this almost ten year old word means???

Anyways, the Alterhuman Archive has both a Copinglink and an Otherlink folder in its collections that people can read and enjoy if, for some unfathomable reason, they've decided to use the term but have no idea what it means or how people tend to understand it.

can I be a bitch for a second. the fact that most people on Tumblr voted that they're best at writing "angst" is both typical and inaccurate. many people THINK they're best at it, and many people prefer writing it because it's a good way to process emotions. but speaking from a technical standpoint much of the shit churned out by the populace is overwrought, maudlin and trite because the lot of you are sheltered middle-class suburbans whose greatest anguish is that you are guilty for/of possessing certain privileges and you believe you need to suffer to make up for them or to earn the pain you feel
