LMAO In case you were wondering whether s7 of 911 will be subtle about their gratitude/debt to ABC for saving the show, the answer is a resounding no.

Also, I have lost a lot of respect for Frank as a shrink, but gained a lot of love for him as a sass king. "Did she win!?" The murderous look Athena gave him was priceless. I love her, too. She doesn't even need words to rule.

9-1-1 is the superior comedy they slipped into our drink, while we were here for our weekly action, suspense, drama and familial love.

Buck broke off with Natalia, and the show really did it like that. XD Every single person who rolled their eyes at this pairing during s6, we were all justified, but wow. The show really is the only forum to respect the pair even less than fandom does. And of course we find out about it in the middle of a scene built around Eddie being half naked, Buck watching him, with the camera specifically turning so we can discover Buck was initially covered by Eddie's body, and the angle change reveals him, when the whole thing wraps up with Eddie welcoming Buck back to the land of the living... Yeah, wonder what made Buck feel alive again. Don't know. 'Tis a mystery. We were given zero clues...

"I want the honeymoon life." *cries* Chimney is just such a good, good man. And okay, expecting your whole life to be a honeymoon's a bit unrealistic, but Madney are living together and they have a child. They know this. Chim knows this, but he still wants to go for it. Aim for the moon, you'll at least land among the stars, right?

Bobby baffled by Athena's reaction to Norman and Lola is hilarious.

I like how Chim has a great idea, but it's still obvious that it's gonna go wrong, because he can't help going overboard with it...

OMG, that scene with Eddie recounting to Buck what Christopher's date was like... If I were to write my Buddie meta, I would serve a three course meal just from that. I mean, the fact that watching Chris hanging out with a girl he likes, makes Eddie compare it to "hanging out with his guy friends" (when there's no lack of interest in this girl... in fact, it turns out that if anything, Christopher's problem is the opposite of a lack of interest) is so telling. There's a reason why that's where Eddie's mind went.

But then also... Eddie's trust in Buck got to me, the way he went to his best friend (not his own gf) for help with Chris. But that was still played with half a smile. But then Buck sort of disses himself jokingly, and Eddie won't have it. "You didn't end up like you." He sees how Buck worked on being a better person, even when Eddie wasn't there for the worst of it, and he appreciates it, and won't let Buck forget it. Meeeep. I love them.

Oh Chim. I was giving you so much credit, and then you went and bought that outdoors jacuzzi. lol Still love him. That's what Maddie's reminding herself of right now, too. ;p

Poor Hen, she was great in this ep, but none of it was really about her, she was comic relief, both with Chim and with the red wire. Then again, she was amazing in this, like she always is with everything.

Eddie and Buck were both so good with Chris this ep, MY HEART. Buck with getting him to talk about what's really bothering him, and Eddie with realizing exactly what his son needs, and how to give it to him. They completed each other. Neither one would be helping Chris without the other one. Tell me again how they're not soulmates?

In conclusion, I love Bobby saying, "Let's go prove one of us wrong," when they're both right. Something WAS going on with Norman and Lola, AND Athena was using them to avoid him.

Argh. That scene of the ship and its passengers being hijacked was rough to watch. </3 I'll still be here to watch the conclusion of this. That's the power of 9-1-1 for you.

It def felt like a great kick to the new season. We had lots of comedy and fun, some great tension, some emotional moments (especially with Christopher), but all in all, it's still clear that the whole thing's a build up to next week. Are you excited?

A question has been on my mind lately, you see, since I saw the Shingeki movie on the 13th, now I'm re-reading your entire series (they will imprison me for not being able to release Shingeki at once) so, it occurred to me to think, how did Annie's father end up being aware of the Aruani relationship?

As for your question... hmm, thinking about it, whether or not Aruani get together immediately after the rumbling, Mr. Leonhardt would figure it out on Fort Salta lol xD Those sad, longing gazes aren't fooling anybody.

I have a love-hate relationship with... Mr. Leonhardt's relationship with Aruani tbh. I don't believe he's the type to interfere outright. I don't think he'd "dislike" it per se. But I also don't think he'd like it, y'know? He hasn't seen his daughter in years and the person he thinks she is, she now very much isn't. For all of Armin's brave show of stopping Muller from shooting at the Eldians on Fort Salta, I can't somehow see Mr. Leonhardt as being convinced with Armin's outlook of the world. There's a reason Annie's very harshly realistic with her worldviews and while she may have softened up in the company of people who care about her, Mr. Leonhardt isn't an easy nut to crack.

I like to think he worries Annie will be letting her guard down around Armin and the others (RIP he doesn't know she already has) and for this reason he sometimes talks derogatorily of the Paradisian boys. There's some fear here, of potentially losing his daughter to strangers he doesn't want to trust, and all the more so because she's still the only one he has. There's some fear also, in watching his daughter smile and laugh and play with the others, displaying parts of her he wasn't aware even existed - and so coming to terms with the fact that the tough girl he raised is not who Annie is, is going to be a hard thing to accept, if ever.

TLDR, it's very complicated, but from a VBEOW perspective I am quite enjoying exploring Annie's relationship with her father!

ARGUMENTS

Arguments have been on my mind recently for some reason and every relationship (friendships, lovers, familial, etc) has them cause feelings can get hurt regardless of intentions and apologies need to be offered. Some things that would normally fly might suddenly be taken wrongly on a bad day ;; which can cause confusion and hurt on both sides which then turns into an argument, that then turns into something that needs to be fixed properly.

SO

I think Norton would be a little more prone to take things the wrong way at times, while Alice has a more 'benefit of the doubt' mindset. But I have a difficult time picturing Alice saying anything that he would perceive as a jab. So I think it would be more along the lines of Alice extending that 'benefit of the doubt' mindset towards someone that Norton thinks has wronged him, (like calling him something or referring him as something that Norton takes as a slight).

Norton: "I can't believe you are taking his side??" Alice: "I am not taking his side, I am just saying that maybe what was said was taken wrongly...they didn't seem like someone who would say something like that" Norton: "??? So you aren't trusting my judgement in this??" Alice: "Its not like that, at all!" Norton: "?? What is it then?? Is my judgement wrong here too?? Have I just been wrong my entire life then??? Does my judgment not count cause I have been poor most of my life??"

And just blowing it up more than it should. Like, him not overly caring about the slight initially but wanted to bring it up to Alice hoping she would be like "that is nonsense, you aren't like that at all" only to hear, "well, what if that wasn't what they meant?" This surprising him and confusing him to the point that it now hurts for some reason he doesn't fully get why.

But his reaction might stun lock Alice and she won't notice right away that he is hurt and her saying 'that probably isn't what they meant' instead of 'oh don't worry, you aren't like that' and not shutting it down, now accidentally making his mind reel with "Am I actually like that?? She didn't deny it"

And this resulting in him needing some air and this alone time giving them a moment to figure out what the frick just happened and Alice able to analyze it in her head and then hurry over to Norton and put to words what his mind can't yet cause she is quicker with the draw in putting stuff to words.

But getting them in a situation where they are both heard and reassured they are on each other's sides would give them an opportunity to hug and apologize for hurt feelings and lashing out.

Now for Alice getting upset with Norton hmmmmmm

Ooooh her getting furious with him for keeping secrets from her about something that is hurting him or along those lines!

Like she had to leave for a month for a story and Norton couldn't go for some reason he made up but it was because he felt like something was wrong with him health wise and didn't want to slow her down.

So she doesn't find out until almost a month later that Norton has been sick for almost that entire time at home and didn't write a word about it in his letters to her. oooooh the pain she would feel ;;

Like she comes home like a half a week early and excited to show Norton only to find him in bed and his breathing sounds awful. This prompting her to drop everything and run to him feeling his fever and grabbing a cloth to wipe the sweat away from his face.

Alice: "how long have you been like this??" Norton: "not long..." Alice: "How long have you been sick????" Norton: "...what day did you leave...?"

Boi once she gets help and knows Norton is on the mend he is gonna get the tongue lashing of a LIFETIME

Just Alice SOBBING as she lays in bed next to him "how DARE you not tell me about this! You NEED to tell me these things so I can make a decision! You made the choice for me by not telling ME! How could you DO THIS to ME?? WHAT IF YOU DIED AND I WAS GONE??"

And Norton realizing he effed up on this one, just listens as she gets all this out. Once she is out of words, he turns on his side to face her and just pulls her into a tight hug and holds her to him

Norton: "I think it is safe to say....that we both agree that I did poorly this time.....I'm sorry.....I should have told you...and let you choose..." Alice: "promise me this won't happen again" -voice muffled cause her face is buried in his chest- Norton: "yea...I promise."

FSR rambles ANOTHER ONE (It's the 22nd one)

Dark's mind reading is just, so damn fun.

Like Green is gambling SO MUCH putting his trust into Dark but it pays off because Dark can TELL Green is truly putting faith in him to give him the benefit of the doubt.

And that means A LOT to him.

The fact Green doesn't want to hurt him MEANS A LOT TO HIM.

Dark knows this man ain't stupid.

I like him giving Green a goodbye hug and a kiss on the cheek hah.

It's so sweet in a way.

And his parting words being words of affirmation for Green.

He can be a very sweet person when given kindness.

I just like them a lot.

Green was a pretty good influence on Dark. XDD

Dark Link's dramatic ass flying away is so funny to me and probably just me.

Like Dark doesn't typically fly or flex his wings much but they DO exist. XDDD

He can kinda just hover like Shadow but I don't think that's been shown even ONCE XDDDD

Dark isn't really the type to flex his magic in general though.

The Headspace IS HIS BODY which uhhh is a horror.

Time to mention: It changing from a desolate blue to that bright pink woodsy area afterward is kinda a reflection of Dark and the person he's talking to's mental space.

It'll change again later when he talks to Blue too.

Now that Dark Ran off we get an insight back into Green. Even though he technically WON this interaction? If you could word it that way, he got kinda what he wanted...He's still kinda overloaded with bullshit, poor guy.

I think in a lot of ways he regrets that Shadow never had help because they just met "Too late" in a lot of ways.

Shadow had already committed many horrible deeds before anyone had a glimpse of being able to help him.

While Dark is still very new and able to be saved from a life of regret or villainy, cause Green recognized that spark of good in him that could blossom into a good person if they give it a try.

meanwhile, Shadow's being self loathing.

...To be fair a lot of what Dark Link says DOESN'T make sense due to it being...from an outsider's perspective utter nonsense (He knows Zelda lore lmfao.) but his claims Shadow just IS ganon are clearly getting to shadow cause he's got self doubt.

Meanwhile Green tries to remind him of his progress, and thinks Shadow and Dark could have something to bond over.

Aaaand there is it boy doesn't wanna be reminded of how much he's fucked up. It's hard when there's a mirror pointed at you.

Green's still feeling bad about what he said.

So if you're curious: My vision for Dark in this form is that speaking is VERY difficult for him to do so he just...doesn't.

This is his dormant form, so his "Functionality" is mostly...nonexistant.

This is a form that doesn't take a lot of effort to maintain or upkeep so his actual abilities aren't very wide.

Like he CAN talk. But simple phrases and words are easiest for him to do. Which is why he repeats "Yeah yeah" twice.

Shadow also fails to realize even THIS form was a step up from the fact Dark was a simple sphere with an eye before. XD

He grew a mouth to chew on Green...So he might have had the intention to speak last night and just...didn't.

But if he wanted to speak, he could just form back to his "Link" form or drag someone to the headspace.

Overall: Shadow ya dummy he probably just didn't have anything to say XD

Green coming to Dark's defense screaming "STOP IT SHADOW YOU'RE SCARING HIM!" is so funny because I without fail imagine the "HE'S AFRAID OF SANTA CLAUS!!!" "STOP IT PATRICK YOU'RE SCARING HIM!!!" spongebob bit.

Dark so obviously doesn't understand blood family ties (...His entire life revolves around 4 dudes who are one guy, and that guy's shadow all being in a weird as fuck relationship so uh...who blames him for not understanding family)

Affectively, Green is just someone Dark considers his family so...he's his "dad". XD

The title switch from Shadow TO Green is due to the fact he just feels more comfortable and safe WITH Green.

...Shadow uses THIS as an example of Dark being "Unreasonable" which is something else alright. XDDD

Green taking the piss out of the whole "dad" thing is pretty damn silly...Green you ARE the daddy now. X'D

I don't think Green would have tried this shit if Dark was in his Link form. XDDD

I know in the draft comic folders I got a comic where Green treats Dark differently based on his form and how Dark doesn't understand that. (him being uncomfortable with the finger chewing in his Link disguise vs his dormant form for example) and how he thinks Green's a hypocrite.

Last panel: Shadow DEFINENTLY not trying to keep everyone thinking Dark's just insane and not saying anything important.

I'm mostly just bouncing off the ideas @hereticcryptid shares with me, so the credit for the og discussion of android!jiggy goes to them :'D

That being said, a friend shared her ideas of another android AU some time ago and I loved it so much! I'm still hoping she continues working on that wip some day ^^;

It was ruoyao of course, but included dark LXC and it was so fascinating to me how the roles got pretty much reversed there, with a kind and gentle but possessive LXC that created MY as the perfect partner and went sorta Mothel Gothel on him out of misplaced protectiveness -pretty much the worst side of the Lan gene in canon.

But MY was very curious by nature, yet all the answers he got of the outside world were reduced to "don't worry about it, you have everything you need/want here :)", and eventually escaped, getting in trouble as soon as he stepped outside lol.

Cue uni professor and disgraced inventor/scientist WRH (funny how we all just want to see him fall from grace xD). His research on AI and androids got controversial and eventually seized and "destroyed" by coworker LQR, who saw the danger and immorality in creating something capable of self-awareness. Turns out that it was based on his work that LXC created MY, so when WRH finds a little android wandering around like he was born yesterday (bc he kinda was), he's instantly fascinated with him and takes him in to try to understand how something so advanced could exist.

What I loved about this AU is how ridiculously adorable MY was! He's a mix of his usual cunning mind and eagerness to learn with someone who legit is just experiencing the outside world for the first time, especially since, unlike Rapunzel, he wasn't really fed scary stories of what lurks outside, so he's more trusting. And unlike LXC, WRH is more than happy to teach MY whatever he wants to learn, not only to satisfy his own curiosity about how a machine like that could process knowledge, but also bc he IS a professor and one with hella high standards, so MY is just the perfect student: so well-behave, giving him all his attention and making smart questions and observations. Besides, there's a sense of deja vu the more he learns about how MY works and was created... also he is strained from his sons, so there's that too lol.

At the beginning is all just transactional, MY latching onto someone who is finally willing to indulge his curiosity, and WRH acquiring a little pet project to make up for all the experiments he was never allowed to conduct. But if you know me, you know the relationship doesn't stay there xD.

Sadly, bestie didn't continue the story behond that and tbh I don't remember much of what came later from my conversations with her, other than LXC eventually going out looking for MY with the help of other androids he created that weren't as perfect as MY, like the Nie bros.

I must confess that I haven't thought of android!JGY myself, but it's a great concept that I should probaky dedicate more brain power to :'D

Spy x Family Episode 27 thoughts!

We start with something very relatable

I love how the family just lets Bond lie on the couch. He takes up the entire space with how massive he is, and yet they allow him that. I love it.

I pretty much immediately read the respective manga chapter of this after I was done, and I've gotta say, before that I was very confused with what Bond was imagining. I don't think that the anime showed clearly what was going on.

Instead, I actually understood it when I read the manga, which made it pretty clear that he was confused by seeing only black in his vision, and then was trying to come up with ideas why this would happen.

Even as I rewatch the episode, I still think it wasn't made clear in the anime.

I love, however, how Bond could imagine that, for whatever reason, Yor would blindfold him in order to surprise him with something. And the way she would lead him there is adorable XD

A lot of adorableness in this episode in general, but then you hit right in the drama.

Like any research facility escapee, Bond fears he'll be found by the people who experimented on him and will be immediately executed. But...

THIS REALLY HAD NO BUSINESS BEING THIS FUNNY. Bond was right there getting traumatized and fearing for his life and I was actually laughing my ass off. The little butt-naked angels! Bond having a halo over his head! The drama of it all! I love it XD

Then I nearly damn cried when he went to look at the family pictures and THE FAMILY THEME PLAYED. MA BOI JUST WANTS A FAMILY 😭😭

I also love how he imagined Loid saying he lived happily. Bond has indeed found a place that makes him feel loved and safe and happy, and he knows that the family knows that. And the way he imagined Loid tearing up for him and understanding what a positive influence this family was on him is very important; Bond's mind may be simple than his human family's, but maybe exactly because of that he sees past the façades and the lies, and into his humans' souls.

And then he just resorts to the fact that he will die, and wants to go say goodbye 😢

I just realized that Bond understands Anya can read his mind! And only Anya. I don't know why it took me so long. Perhaps I had understood it but it never registered, lol

Gremlin Anya my beloved <3

Unless it was a new moon that day, it's amazing how focused Anya was on studying. Here was Bond with a face that practically said "Do the cool thing and read my mind!" and Anya was like "Nope. Homework." I immediately imagined it was a new moon day and she actually couldn't read his mind, but it may be a safe assumption that she's learning to control her power? Idk.

But then Bond sees that Yor will make an absolute horror of a dinner for him.

How is she so out of it that she doesn't realize the monstrosities she's creating. I love her.

I'm still trying to piece things together, though. There's a clear difference in visual between reality, vision, and Bond's imagination.

Bond thinks that he'll die by eating Yor's food; it's not a certain future.

This doesn't explain the black in Bond's vision, though. It could be a red herring, idk.

In any case, he takes Anya's words from their first days together very seriously, so he doesn't even attempt to say no to Yor's food.

And though we know Yor is way too sweet to even shout or give a stern look to someone because they disobeyed or made a mess, it also makes sense for Bond to immediately consider his mistake will be met with violence. He spent a significant amount of time of his adult dog life in the research lab, where the scientists abused him, hurt him and belittled him. Having trouble trusting a new environment is typical abuse victim behaviour. So even though he feels loved and protected there, his trauma can still rear its ugly head whenever disobedience is involved.

And so Bond finds the solution. Help Loid come home earlier from work so that he can cook food for him!

For all his intelligence, Bond's perception of "humans working" is still stuck on the times of when humans first domesticated dogs. He's like "human put spiky rock on wood and then hunt". How does one explain red tape and politics to a dog, either way XD

Bond runs out of the house and I immediately wondered why Yor didn't immediately run after him, before I remembered that she couldn't leave Anya home alone.

And thus, Bond's adventure in Berlint begins!

The hot dog vendor called Bond a stray and I'm like wow, stray dogs in Berlint must be in excellent shape if people see a dog with a massive white fur that's clean and smooth and don't immediately assume he lives in a house with two clean freaks.

Once again, the art style here is clearly showing that this is in Bond's imagination, which is more influenced by his traumatic experience in the lab than his actual experience with the Forgers. I almost felt it was unfair how Yor was portrayed in his imagination!

I felt so sad for him in the bridge! Boy just wanted some food that wouldn't kill him 🥺 and then I laughed my ass off.

What an absolute unit this dog is!

His adventures continue until he finally catches a whiff of Loid's scent and he's off to help his human!

And we have a truth serum in the world! That could be an awesome opportunity of a Chekhov's Gun! While in general the spy things happening seem to be rooted in the real world, Endo also takes the James Bond route sometimes and I would really like to see if that stuff actually has an impact in the story later on.

(As usual, I'm anime only, so don't spoil me for later developments in the manga!)

Bond finds his human, relieved he'll be given safe food tonight!

Bond starts leading Twilight down a clear path and I'm very, VERY interested by how Twilight reaches the conclusion that Bond wants revenge on the scientists who abused him.

And if you ask me, in the manga his expression looks even more sympathetic. Look at that worried brow there.

At least the anime didn't rob us of blushing Twilight this time *grumble grumble*

Bond doesn't understand one bit of what Twilight is saying, though. He just wants food.

It's classic Forger family misunderstanding and jumping to conclusions, but I feel it says a TON about Twilight's character, not only that he considered Bond would want revenge for how he (and the other dogs!) was abused, but also that he honoured that supposed wish of Bond and didn't try to change his mind. I mean, it also helped him in his mission, but this time "For the MissionTM" wasn't in his mind at all, at least regarding Bond.

I think it's the first time that this happens? That he brushes his "for the mission" aside and focuses on what his family wants - at least, consciously. He's been doing that from day one but I think this is the first time that he does it knowingly. It also helps that he knows Bond would never be able to report him as a spy so he doesn't mind being a little more open with him. Wow. It's amazing in how many ways this family gives this man opportunity to reach back into his emotions and self.

Anyway, yeah. I think it says a lot about how sympathetic Twilight is, how much he values justice and feelings of vindication, and also how he believes that Bond wanted revenge not only for himself, but for his fellow dogs too. And of course, how he then helped him get his supposed "revenge".

I mean, it's one of the few logical conclusions he can make with his limited intel at that moment, but still I find it interesting and very telling that this is the conclusion he settled on.

Again, Bond doesn't understand a word but he settles on a positive borf since that will make Twilight finally move his ass so he can finish early and come back home and cook for him.

BOI HUNGY

Twilight behind him like "But what about your revenge?!!"

Another small difference between manga and anime, as in the manga Twilight looks actually distressed about getting home late. In the anime he's just... "eh".

Like, make up your mind guys. Is he more emotional in the anime or no?

I'm using my Sundays in a very productive manner, you see, dunking on overworked and underpayed animators.

Bond has his vision of the staff coming back and Twilight saying he'll be late, and we see angry Yor in, once again, the "imagination" style.

This is not the real Yor. This is the Yor traumatized Bond makes up.

Maybe, in a way, he doesn't understand that Yor's horrible cooking is 100% unintentional. When we see his flashbacks in episode 15, the people there threw some horrible-looking mush at him to eat and told him to be thankful for it, too. So he probably correlates food of bad quality with bad intentions, so it could be a reason why he imagines Yor being so cruel to him.

This. Was. Hilarious. I don't know if it's Anya's influence on him, but it was amazing to see him do something that a hardened spy like him would consider childish and yet be so effective in what he wanted to do 😂 Also, boy doesn't even try to hide? T. as in Twilight/Tasogare? How is this man a spy I swear to god

Action! Bond beating the shit out of the bad guys! Loved it!

Despite the very serious implications of a truth serum being developed and used, we don't get to see Twilight's thoughts about it. Truth serums, if effective, could be detrimental for people like him, especially when fallen into the wrong hands. Of course, simply destroying their samples wouldn't do, as they could simply make more, so he doesn't bother with more than just one vial needed for WISE's analysts. I wonder if we'll get to see more of that in the future.

Bond's vision clears, and he gets to see the real way Yor would react.

This warmed my heart no joke 🥺

Anya looks very curious in the background, and I wonder if that's her face as she reads into Bond's mind, or if she's curious exactly because it's a new moon and she can't read his mind and is trying to imagine what could have happened. I need to know!!

(I don't. Don't spoil me if it's revealed - though I doubt there's that much more to be revealed about this chapter XD)

This man really invested in Bond's revenge huh. He just made it up in his mind and then went like "He got his revenge! I'm so happy for him!" Whatever floats your boat, dude.

Speaking of floating boats...

I don't have that much to say about the second part of the episode, other than a couple parts here and there.

I'm still not even close to liking Damian but I cannot imagine the kind of emotional abuse this six-year-old must have gone through to hear "do not shame your family" and take it as fucking praise, my GOD. I don't like the kid and I'd be a lousy parent but even I would treat him better than that.

As I've said before, there's a lot of personal trauma that rises to the surface whenever Damian is involved - especially after seeing how some fans tend to completely dismiss how much of a bully he is - and I was actually dreading this part, but it managed to hit some good spots. His friendship with Ewen and Emile still needs work, but the way they purposefully threw away their free day and angered Henderson - who by the way, got their intentions from the first moment and was like are you serious - all because they didn't want Damian to be alone was really heartwarming. If they caught Henderson in a bad day they could easily risk a Tonitrus, and I think that's something Damian will have to appreciate at some point. Maybe not immediately, but he'll get there. What this boy needs is not to be tapped in the back and told "Your trauma justifies bullying the girl you have special feelings for", but to be told he's valued as a person and not for how much he fulfills his father's expectations.

Mr. Green is a SUPER interesting guy!! He's funny and down to earth and sympathetic and he gave this parched anime-only some political commentary finally MY GOD

DEFECTING TO THE WEST YOU SAY

The fact that defecting has taken a code name speaks to how much of a common yet covert practice it is. The boys immediately fear that they will be sold off to Westalis, same way George Glooman feared that when he thought his dad's company had gone bankrupt. Then they ask why someone would even leave Ostania and Mr. Green is like "Well we have a beautiful night sky!" I don't know if he was being sarcastic, but I absolutely love how we got that insight into how deep nationalistic propaganda runs in Ostania, especially from the point of view of three innocent, very privileged but also sheltered kids.

"Why would someone flee" well for starters there's this thing called surveillance--

So beautiful it even touched Damian and not only had him break through his very disciplined upraising and he admitted he is enjoying the sight, he also laughed like the kid he is. I gotta admit this touched me.

Look, as I said, I have a lot of personal feelings and traumatic experience that influence the way I see Damian. I don't hate him and I want him to be better... I just feel really uncomfortable whenever people try to act like his bullying isn't that bad, or is justified, or even isn't bullying at all. And no matter my efforts, seeing fans talk about Damian like that has influenced me negatively to the point where I have to consciously try to not hate him. I understand that all of those fans have read the manga and those developments I see now are years-old news to them by now, but I still feel there's a very big space between what I see and what that part of the fandom sees. I don't need to see an episode where Damian relaxes and gets a little in touch with the kid he still is to understand he deserves better. But I also don't think him doing that undoes the emotional damage he inflicts upon Anya. He can be a bully, and he can be a victim, both at the same time. I'm just saying... if you're someone who will jump to his support whenever you hear takes like mine... maybe take a moment to think if you're putting your feelings over a fictional character over the feelings of a real person who is still carrying scars from having been bullied as a kid.

Yeah, that got a little personal, I'm sorry. But I'm not here to make objective analysis and I'm probably the only anime-only here talking about the story in such depth. I just wanted to make my stance clear, that's all.

New designs for Bing and Larry, designs for the other two members, a relationship chart...more art and info under the cut! (trust me, there's a whooole lot)

A curious bunch. Kind of an unlikely match (I mean Lasombra and Ventrue under the same roof sounds like a recipe for disaster..lol), but circumstances played their part. They may not be ideal for each other but it's all they have. Family, woof 👆

Why would I assign them with animals and elements? First off, it makes the designing process so much easier, since it creates direction. Second, it makes thematic sense. They've been denied humanity, and then they chose to keep it that way. "You see me a monster, well then, I'll be the monster" kind of situation. So, they'd rather associate with animals and elements than humans.

I could go on, but I'd rather have you experience the thing first hand in game (also doubt people would read further into this post otherwise lmao). Onto the characters!

Bing

Animal: Serpent

Element: Earth (Nature)

Main shtick: Change; Pain

Bing has more backstories than he does fingers, so nobody is quite sure on his origin. The one thing that seems certain is that he spent most of his existence in Russian Empire but fled when the civil war broke out in the 1910s. You'd think a Tzimisce of this age and history would be up to something nefarious now in Britain, but Bing is more concerned with "self search" and identity crisis. You could say he spends his retirement days here, or rather...used to spend, before one thing happened. But this, you'll learn more of playing the game XP

Bing dresses up kind of similar to the way he used to, back in the XVIII century. The outfit is rather loose (before I added clips onto the coat, I was told it looked more like a bathrobe...which, I suppose, is kind of fitting too XD), in order to leave extra room for when Bing uses Vicissitude (more on that later).

Bing's main gimmick is Tzimisce's signature, Vicissitude and the way he chooses to use it. Instead of turning his head into a giant pickle (Andrei lmao), Bing turns into different people. Not just appearance wise, it also includes voice, mannerisms, even personality. This is what I mean when I say he doesn't need to make clones - he IS the clone.

What he chooses to turn into most of the time are personas he used to "play out" during his glory days, XVIII century coups. Sometimes when prompted, sometimes just to troll others (if they dislike certain mannerisms or find the general idea of shape-shifting weird/scary).

These were crafted in accordance with the "ruler of the week", to win them over and then later "direct" them towards what Bing's Tzimisce sires and mentors needed. In a way, they are "clones" of these rulers (except maybe appearances), cuz imitation is the highest form of flattery lol

Though Bing also likes to experiment with his default form, as he doesn't find it ideal (his "true face", the one he forgot). Bing switches pronounce depending on current form (he/she/they, or anything else he feels like at the current moment).

Bing's battle form, aka the pinnacle of his Vicissitude mastery. If you happen to see it, usually it means you'll die a painful death in the next five minutes X)

Larry

Animal: Jackal

Element: Water

Main shtick: Loyalty and betrayal

Larry was dealt some shitty cards and forced upon the life of crime since early childhood. First a pirate (where he got his tan, scars, and vision problem), then a mercenary for a, uh, "dubious company" sponsored by Lasombra clan. Certain events made him overly sensitive to betrayals, so if you betray Larry, or hurt those he swore loyalty to, he will loathe you. And Larry's hatred runs deep. He always means business.

Larry's outfit is like, a modern take on pirate fashion. A bit rough around the edges, just enough to give him that "jackal" look. Larry's second name is practical, so he carries lots of belts. Never know when you mind need one.

Larry's signature, Obtenebration, comes from the Abyss and runs on his negative emotions. Which is why he's prone to lashing out and general bad mood. Needless to say it is extremely unhealthy, but power is power.

The story behind him coming to know Bing is fun. Originally, Larry was sent to kill him, but it was a set up, since Larry didn't stand a chance against that. So they kind of bonded instead, "enemy of my enemy is my friend". And after a while Larry just grew attached XDD He still goes on about murdering Bing "one day", but at this point everyone is aware it's not gonna happen like, ever.

Adella

Animal: Raven/Crow

Element: Fire

Main shtick: Control

Adella is half-chinese born in Britain. Do I need to say she didn't have a particularly fun time or is it obvious enough? From a very young age she was forced to believe she can only count on herself. Adella strived to climb the corporate ladder and get on top. To "burn her way through the obstacles". Might be lonely up there, but she was used to it either way, and she'd have the power and control to smack down anyone who tries to harm her. For now, let's just say she ended up upsetting the wrong people and had to run for her life. Sabbat was "kind" enough to let her stay under their wing.

Adella's relatively fresh meat, so her grasp on Sabbat "culture" is rather small for now. Though she is attempting to fit in more. She's determined to stay, despite whatever Larry says about her "looking for the opportunity to dump them". Adella insists she'd rather die than go back to the cammies. Bing is willing to give her the chance to prove herself.

Her and Larry's relationship is quite fun in how disastrous it is. Both constantly looking for jabs to throw at each other. The irony is, their stories and goals are kind of similar. But they're also different in ways that make their blood boil when they have to interact.

Zephyr

Animal: House centipede

Element: Wind

Main shtick: Security

Zephyr is truly a victim of circumstance. Lost ability to speak, lost all his loved ones, lost his home. Not a penny to his name, and no name either. His mind in ruin. He roamed around in the wild, until Bing found him. Seeing something familiar in him, Bing let him stay by their side. Found him a new name. A new purpose. A reason to keep on existing. Slowly, Zephyr is learning ways to communicate again. Perhaps he'll be able to remember, and tell his story one day.

Zephyr is the least human-like kindred, and looks like an atom bomb fell on his face. Despite the first impression he might create, Zephyr is a rather meek soul, doesn't seek conflict and is fine with following orders. That attitude changes when something threatens rest of the "family", though...

Zephyr is generally adored by his packmates, one could call him the "gentle giant" of the pack. Adella loves spending time with Zephyr, even Larry tolerates him. Though I'd say the most sympathy for him comes from Bing. As mentioned earlier, Bing sees a kindred spirit in Zephyr, so he is most invested in Zephyr's well being. Bing was the one to give him his new name. He's also the one learning sign language with him, so they'd have a better way of communication.

1. was there any specific point / any specific moment that suddenly made Feyd-Rautha your Blorbo, or did you slowly grow to love them more and more until they became a Blorbo to you?

Feyd became my blorbo after ~9 months of ao3 hiatus because of some other fandom shit. I saw Dune 2, felt a small tickle of a crush and thought "Might as well." I wrote Preyd and gave it to my sweet friend to beta read and she was so into it, we immediately started brainrotting about Feyd and within a few days, the hyperfixation was born 🥹

2. what’s the thing you love the most about your Blorbo?

That I get to explore the terrible abyss of the human mind and society with him, how the environment can shape a character into an unapologetic lack of empathy. Yet we are given enough scenes to work with to deduce his humanity and vulnerability, which is exactly what a "villanous" character needs to become three-dimensional. Plain evilness with no vulnerability is boring to me.

3. what’s the thing you dislike the most about your Blorbo?

In all honesty, his polyamorous tendencies, bc that's a bit too close to infidelity to me, which is a bit of a trigger for me 😂 But luckily I can just headcanon that part away and my brain is happy.

4. if you could talk to your Blorbo, what would you say to them?

I would tell him that it wasn't his fault 🫂 iykyk

5. what’s the one thing the fandom gets wrong about your Blorbo?

There is no right or wrong way to interpret a fictional character. What I find wrong is when people act like there *is*.

6. is your Blorbo an introvert or extrovert?

While like I feel like he thrives when admired by others, I don't think that's what truly fulfills him. I'll say ambivert.

7. describe your Blorbo in 3 words

Sociopathic, traumatized, violent, (and cunning, because you can't stop me from putting a 4th word xD)

8. if your Blorbo were real, would you trust them with your life?

If I was certain that I meant something to him, yes, absolutely.

9. do you talk to your family or in-real-life friends about your Blorbo?

Family: hard no xD Friends: My irl friends know I like Austin and Feyd, but I don't brainrot like I do in online spaces.

10. is there any crime, any wrongdoing your Blorbo could commit that would make you stop loving them and remove them from your hyperfixation entirely?

That's a bit of a strange question to me, because it's literally my own brain that decides what he does or doesn't do. If he were to do anything new in canon (which he won't because he's dead lol), I could just pretend he didn't.

11. do you like seeing your Blorbo suffer?

Seeing dominant, powerful men suffer and crumple into the traumatized boys they are on the inside is my SCHTICK 😩

12. do you ship your Blorbo with any character?

I mainly ship him with my wonderful bestie's OC in our RPs ❤️ But I'll also go with any FMC/Reader that people come up with in fics.

13. if your Blorbo is from a live-action media, are you also a fan of the actor who plays them?

Fan is too tame a word 🥹🥹🥹 Austin Butler makes me feel gushy like I have a real crush, but it's also better than having an actual crush on someone near me, cause irl men can kiss my ass.

14. would you still love your Blorbo if they were real?

In Feyd's case, of course not, because the things that make me go yesyesyes in fiction are hard nononos in reality.

15. is your Blorbo a victim of badly written script / bad plot / character assassination in the hands of canon?

I don't think it's a *badly written* character assassination. It makes sense for the plot as it is, but naturally I regret the lack of future scenes with him 😭

16. if you could change one canonical thing about your Blorbo, what would it be?

*points at the polyamory* — But even that, it makes sense for his background. I still like to play with that trope because it's a part of him, but I usually just move him away from it in the course of the fic/RP, via character growth and him realizing what he actually craves, etc.

17. when you first discovered your Blorbo, did you realize from that moment that they would become your Blorbo?

I knew that he completely ticks my boxes when I first saw him, but I always need to *lean into* it a little bit, offer my brain a treat by writing something about them, which then usually kickstarts the proper hyperfixation lmao 🥹

18. do you gatekeep your Blorbo? / would you want more people to know about your Blorbo?

I mean I definitely "gatekeep" my OCs because they're dear and personal to me, but I don't think I've ever done that with a franchise character. So no, I don't gatekeep Feyd.

19. has a fanfic about your Blorbo ever made you cry?

All the time!! But I'm also a baby who cries very easily 🥺

20. do you think this character will still be your Blorbo three years from now on?

I mean, I dearly hope so. But from experience, I'd sadly have to say no, because my hyperfixations tend to fade after a few months. But Feyd/Austin has been my *longest* so far, with 11 months as of now. My second longest lasted like 8 months, so maybe this means Feyd is meant for eternity 🤭

What's your opinion on blue-eyed Spottedleaf. I know she has pale amber eyes, but I just think it works infinitely better for my design for her. She just looks gorgeous, and she's such a mood with them.

(When my art block goes away, I will draw her and trust me. She looks absolutely beautiful with them in my style. She is described as a beautiful and awesome looking she cat, but my definition of absolute beauty is kinda really different from everyone else. A lot of people draw her with beautiful eyelashes and thin slander built.

This reminds me kinda of you with your awesome designs, but with Hawkfrost and Mothwing, we love our headcanon designs, and we don't care if it's not canon. and I hope you won't mind if I draw Hawk and Moth like you did in your Tigerstar's family tree. Anyway, byeeeee X3)

I tend to prefer characters looking like their canon selves, but like...I have nothing against changing a character's eye color XD it's fun to look at, but doesn't match my "world," so I just kinda go "ohey they made her eyes blue. neat" and then move on.

Eda refers to the Martlet as Marty. I feel like Jasper would find this endearing. Idk if they're friends (does Jasper even HAVE friends in this AU? sad) but they'd at least be running in the same circles. Casual acquaintances who appreciate each other's work. They exchange idle chit-chat in the night market.

If anyone figures out who the Martlet is before Jasper makes his identity known, it's Luz. She's smart, she's genre-savvy, she still low-key thinks she's in a fantasy story (lol), and she IMMEDIATELY clocks the Martlet as 1) Having a mysterious identity, 2) Having a mysterious BACKSTORY, 3) Being low-key sad, like, ALL the time despite his cheerful badass persona, clearly he is HIDING INNER PAIN, 4) HE'S GOT A SERIOUS SOFT SPOT FOR KIDS AND AN APPARENTLY-PERSONAL HATRED FOR BELOS, THIS IS NOT ADDING UP TO ANYTHING NICE, 5) It is entirely possible she gets a glimpse of his Emperor's Coven sigil at some point.

It's not a priority for her to figure the guy out, and it'd take a while for her to collect all the pieces to the puzzle. But after meeting Hunter she pesters Lilith for information about the Golden Guard, which leads to talk of the old one, so she knows Jasper existed. She knows Hunter is an orphan being raised by an Evil Emperor, which is just…welp, there are stories that go like that and they ALWAYS involve parental drama. She sees the Martlet and Hunter fight and notes that Marty's not as antagonistic as he could be.

…Bahaha, I have no idea how to make the timeline on THIS concept make sense, cuz she doesn't know Belos = Philip until Hollow Mind and who knows how that episode would even go down in this AU, BUT imagine her cornering Jasper like "ARE YOU CALEB WITTEBANE???" and Jasper just. fucking losing it. XD

(Does Jasper know Belos's name is Philip? Does he know the surname Wittebane? Does he even know he's human? Or does he put two and two together when he catches Luz watching an echomouse journal entry? Does he get just as interested in the journal as she is, but his interest is more morbid curiosity?)

Once Luz figures things out, or once things come out, she is just, like. Unholy screeching. OH MY GOD IT'S LIKE A REVERSE DARTH VADER SITUATION.

"Human," Hunter says, infinitely tired, "WHAT are you talking about?"

Jasper says that bullshit "people like me don't survive stories like this" line exactly one time around Luz and she is NOT having it. NUH-UH. NO SIR. You are NOT allowed to become a sacrificial father figure immediately after being reunited with your son! Her insistence on this is only PARTIALLY due to her own paternal loss trauma, it is also very much fueled by her love of storytelling! She drags out a whiteboard and does an impromptu presentation on TROPES and CHARACTER ARCS! She gasps as she realizes - it's not HUNTER'S redemption arc that's the big one here, it's JASPER'S. He's been riding a redemption arc for 16 years! You don't just kill off a character after that kind of development! Everyone knows Redemption Equals Death happens, like, IMMEDIATELY after the Heel-Face Turn, we are WAY past that threshold! Jasper is kinda overwhelmed but appreciates her optimism.

He doesnt have FRIENDS.... but he knows people. Like he works with the CATTs fairly often. He probably shows up to meetings and stuff and hangs around. People KNOW him. He probably does know eda, they're very similar and both hate Belos. He's cagey and he's not going to reveal much but I imagine there's been a time or two he's gotten seriously injured and it's her doorstep he shows up on. He might work with the CATTs but he doesn't trust them. He feels in his bones a trust for eda. She won't turn him in, she won't pull his mask off or tear his identity from him. She'll annoy him sure. yeh this season is so cringe, okay? i watched 26 episodes and i feel like nothing really happened? the plot was so lame and slow. i mean, look what happens in s1-s3 in all the episodes. there was so much more going on. it was just relationship drama and unncecessary i gotta say. if they have to write rivusa so toxic then why don't they simply break them up and give them a harmonic ending? maybe being friends is better for them? also no fan of musa becoming a girly bitch with long hair. give me back my tomboy. i have to say too: a season without the trix is no real season even though the wizards are cool. also faragona is so useless let's don't talk about that. and the winx were teachers for ONE episode and after that they are like: meh no we live now our ugly love and pet life in gardenia. the pets, the PETS. i HATE them. they are so ugly. I mean the pixies had a plot they had to fulfill. they had a SENSE in the winx universe. the pets are just ...ugh. not cute. Then Roxy: my opinion on her: she's a bit over dramatic but fine i guess? still wonder why her wings are so big if she is no believix fairy. nebula, diana and aurora were really cool but come on, we did not really need this season. then the criticism that everyone has: wtf with the second movie. where does it take place? why is nabu alive? why do they have their beliviex? it's just that this season was rushed and the plot was meh. and i know it gets worse so let's face it. winx ended after the first movie and this is an ass ugly boring and lame written ff au.

After leaving the old factory, the drive back to the bunker was quiet, the weight of their conversation with Crowley hanging in the air. Dean was gripping the steering wheel tightly, his eyes focused on the road ahead, while Sam stared out the window, clearly lost in thought. Julia sat in the backseat, leaning her head against the window as the Kansas landscape blurred past them.

The tension between them had only grown, not because they were angry with one another, but because working with Crowley was never easy. Dean hated it more than anyone, but they had no choice. Abaddon was too powerful, and without the First Blade, they didn't stand a chance.

When they arrived at the bunker, the air inside felt cold, as if it knew what was coming. Dean headed straight for the kitchen, muttering something about needing a drink, while Sam tossed his jacket onto the war room table and began flipping through his notes again, his mind already working on their next steps.

Julia hung back, watching the brothers fall into their routines. It was strange, seeing how easily they switched from one life-threatening situation to the next. She admired them for it—how they managed to keep fighting, no matter what.

She walked into the kitchen, where Dean was already pouring himself a generous shot of whiskey. He looked up as she entered, his green eyes tired but sharp.

"You good?" Julia asked, leaning against the counter.

Dean shrugged, pouring himself another drink. "I don't know. Crowley's always got some kind of angle, but we're running out of options. He's our best shot, and he knows it."

Dean frowned. "And we're just supposed to trust him?"

"We don't have much of a choice," Sam replied. "It's worth checking out."

"Somewhere in Missouri," Sam said, pointing to the map. "It's remote—near some old ruins."

Dean crossed his arms. "Figures Crowley would send us somewhere sketchy."

Julia chuckled. "Yeah, wouldn't be a proper hunt without the ominous location."

Sam looked between them. "We should head out soon. The sooner we check this out, the better."

Unable to shake the feeling gnawing at his gut, Dean made the last minute decision to have Julia stay behind. He knew the road ahead wasn't going to be easy, and every instinct he had screamed at him to keep Julia out of it. They had been through a lot together, but this was different. The First Blade was serious business, and if Abaddon's goons were out there hunting for it too, the risk was too high.

So when dawn broke, Dean made the decision. Julia was sitting at the kitchen table with Sam, going over notes and old lore books, when Dean walked in. He grabbed a cup of coffee, not meeting Julia's eyes, already knowing how this was going to go.

"I've been thinking," Dean started, his voice rough from lack of sleep. "You should sit this one out, Julia."

Julia looked up, confused. "What? Why?"

Dean set his cup down and crossed his arms, leaning against the counter. "This is the First Blade we're talking about. It's not just some regular case. It's dangerous as hell, and I don't need you getting hurt."

Sam glanced between them, sensing the tension already brewing. "Dean—"

Dean cut him off. "No, man. Not this time. I'm going with Crowley to meet Cain. I don't know what we're walking into, and I need Julia here, you too."

Julia's brows furrowed, clearly frustrated. "Dean, I've been doing fine so far. You can't just bench me."

Dean finally met her gaze, his expression hard but not unkind. "It's not about you being fine. It's about keeping you safe. You don't know what Cain's capable of. Hell, I don't even know."

Sam cleared his throat. "He's got a point, Julia. Cain's a wildcard. It's best if you stay back with me, help with the research."

"Fine," she muttered, turning her attention back to the book in front of her. "But don't come crying to me if you get your ass kicked."

Dean smirked, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "I'll be fine."

The drive to Cain's house was tense, and the company didn't help. Dean glanced over at Crowley, who was lounging in the passenger seat of the Impala like he owned the damn thing, looking way too comfortable for someone who was technically their enemy.

"You seem awfully chipper," Dean muttered, gripping the steering wheel.

Crowley grinned. "Well, I am in good company. Besides, I'm eager to see how this little visit with Cain turns out. Should be... enlightening."

Dean rolled his eyes, focusing on the road ahead. Cain wasn't just any ordinary guy. He was the Father of Murder, the original Knight of Hell. This wasn't a simple retrieval mission—they were walking straight into the lion's den. But they needed that Blade if they had any hope of stopping Abaddon.

When they finally pulled up to Cain's secluded farmhouse, Dean felt his stomach twist. The place was quiet, too quiet. He parked the Impala and got out, grabbing his gun and an angel blade, just in case.

Crowley followed suit, his usual swagger in place as they approached the door.

"You sure he's even going to talk to us?" Dean asked, eyeing the door warily.

"Oh, he'll talk," Crowley said, flashing his teeth in a way that made Dean want to punch him.

Dean knocked on the door, and after a few tense seconds, it creaked open. Cain stood there, looming large in the doorway, his presence as intimidating as the legends said.

"Dean Winchester," Cain greeted, his voice deep and resonant. "I've been expecting you."

Inside the farmhouse, the air was thick with tension. Cain didn't offer any pleasantries, just stood there with a quiet, terrifying calmness that put Dean on edge. Crowley, of course, didn't seem fazed, casually leaning against the wall as Cain poured himself a drink.

"I assume you've come for the Blade," Cain said, not bothering to look at either of them.

Dean nodded, not seeing the point in dancing around the issue. "We need it to take down Abaddon."

Cain finally looked up, his eyes sharp and dark. "And you think you're worthy to wield it?"

Before Dean could answer, the front door burst open, and the unmistakable sound of demon howls filled the air. Abaddon's demons had found them.

Dean barely had time to draw his gun before the first wave of demons rushed inside, their black eyes gleaming with murderous intent. Crowley stepped forward, his face serious now, summoning his powers to help fight them off.

Cain watched the chaos unfold, unfazed, as if it were nothing more than an inconvenience.

Dean was in the thick of it, fighting off demon after demon, using everything he had—his gun, his angel blade, his fists. Blood and sweat mixed as the battle raged, but they kept coming. No matter how many he killed, more poured in.

One demon nearly got the jump on him, but Cain stepped in, grabbing the demon by the throat and snapping it’s neck with barely any effort. "You'll have to do better than that if you want to survive this."

Dean panted, his muscles aching as he stabbed another demon in the chest. "Yeah, well, some backup would be nice."

Cain smirked but didn't answer

The dust had barely settled, and the bodies of the demons lay scattered around the property. Dean stood, breathing heavily, his eyes scanning the aftermath of the fight. He glanced at Crowley, who looked a bit too amused by the whole ordeal, then turned to Cain, who had watched the entire fight unfold without lifting a finger.

Cain finally stepped forward, his face impassive. "You handled yourself well," he said, his deep voice carrying a strange sense of finality.

Dean wiped the sweat from his brow, his body still tense from the fight. "You could've jumped in at any time, you know."

Cain's lips twitched in something that might have been the ghost of a smile. "This wasn't my fight. It was yours. A test."

"A test for what?" Dean asked, narrowing his eyes.

Cain's gaze shifted to the First Blade resting nearby. "For the Mark."

Dean's eyes flicked with confusion. "The Mark? What does that have to do with this?"

Cain walked over to Dean, his expression unreadable. "The First Blade is useless without the Mark of Cain. Only someone who bears the Mark can wield it."

Dean frowned, his confusion growing. "So, why didn't you mention that before?"

Cain finally looked at him, his gaze piercing. "Because I had to see if you were worthy."

Dean stiffened. "Worthy? Of what, exactly?"

Cain slowly approached him, his large frame towering over Dean. "Worthy of bearing the Mark of Cain. It's a curse, Dean. A burden. But it's the only way you can use the Blade to kill Abaddon."

Dean's jaw clenched. "So, what—you're just gonna slap this curse on me and hope for the best?"

Cain tilted his head, studying Dean. "Not quite. The Mark is a heavy weight to carry. It will change you, corrupt you. But from what I've seen, you have the strength to endure it."

Dean swallowed hard, feeling the weight of Cain's words settle heavily on his shoulders. He glanced at Crowley, who was watching the exchange with keen interest, then back at Cain. "And what if I say no?"

Cain's gaze darkened. "Then Abaddon wins. The demons take over, and everything you've fought for—everything your family has sacrificed—will be for nothing."

Dean's mind raced, the gravity of the situation pressing down on him. This wasn't just about him anymore. It was about Sam, about saving the world from Abaddon's reign of terror. He couldn't back down now.

"What do I have to do?" Dean asked, his voice resolute.

Cain stepped closer, his hand slowly reaching toward Dean. "This will hurt."

Before Dean could react, Cain's hand pressed against his forearm. A searing pain shot through Dean's body, his vision swimming as the Mark of Cain began to transfer. It felt like fire was being burned into his skin, spreading through his veins, but he gritted his teeth and stayed standing, refusing to show weakness.

The pain intensified, and for a moment, Dean thought he might pass out. But just as suddenly as it had begun, it was over. Cain pulled his hand away, and Dean stumbled back, clutching his arm.

A strange symbol—dark, twisted, and ominous—now marked Dean's forearm. The Mark of Cain.

Cain's eyes lingered on the Mark for a moment before he stepped back. "The Mark will give you the power you need to wield the First Blade. But it will come at a cost."

Dean flexed his arm, wincing at the lingering pain. "What kind of cost?"

“The Mark demands blood. It will call to you, push you to kill. And the more you give in, the harder it will be to stop." Cain said, his voice grim.

Dean's face hardened. "I'll deal with it."

Dean looked at Cain, still trying to wrap his mind around the weight of the situation. The Mark of Cain now burned on his arm, throbbing as if it had a life of its own. His mind was buzzing with questions, but one was more pressing than all the others.

"So, we need the First Blade to take down Abaddon," Dean said, his voice rough from the pain of the Mark and the adrenaline of the fight.

Cain regarded him quietly for a moment, then sighed, a deep and weary sound. "Yes, but there's a problem."

Dean frowned, glancing at Crowley, who seemed to be watching Cain with a mix of amusement and curiosity. "What kind of problem?"

"The Blade..." Cain started, looking out toward the horizon through the dusty windows of his farmhouse. His voice softened as if recalling a painful memory. "I threw it into the deepest part of the ocean, to keep my promise to my wife."

Dean's face hardened. "What? Why?"

"To keep it out of the hands of people like you," Cain said, his voice steady but laced with something resembling regret. "The Blade has caused too much destruction. It's a weapon of death, and with the Mark, it brings out the worst in anyone who wields it."

Dean felt his stomach sink. They needed that Blade. "So what? It's just sitting at the bottom of the ocean? We have to fish it out?"

Cain's expression didn't change. "That's right."

Crowley, who had been listening with a rare seriousness, finally spoke. "Well, that's just brilliant. Bottom of the ocean, eh? I don't suppose you have a map?"

Cain walked over to a shelf and pulled out a small map, unrolling it on the table. He pointed to a remote area in the middle of the ocean. "Here. The deepest part of the Pacific, The Mariana Trench. No human could ever reach it without help."

Dean stared at the map, his mind already racing with plans. "Well, good thing you've got a demon on your side, huh?" Crowley said, casting a glance at Dean.

Dean gave a small sarcastic smile. "Lucky me."

Cain's gaze lingered on Dean, as if he were silently debating something. Finally, he spoke again. "Take the Blade when you find it, but remember: the more you use it, the more you become like me. A killer, nothing more."

Dean met Cain's gaze, the gravity of his words hanging in the air between them. "I'm not you," Dean said firmly.

Cain didn't respond, but the sadness in his eyes said everything.

Dean didn't respond. His mind was already miles ahead, thinking about the First Blade, Abaddon, and the price he might have to pay to stop her.

As they climbed into the Impala, Dean glanced down at the map, the weight of the Mark of Cain burning in his arm. There was no turning back now. The hunt for the First Blade had begun, and with it, a path that could very well lead him into darkness.

"Let's get this over with," Dean muttered, starting the car and driving off into the night.

The True Identity of Matoba Seiji's sister?

this is something that's been on my mind lately, I may be overthinking this and reading too much into things. I have a crazy theory on my mind so thought I wanna share it before I explode by myself xD

what I have next are from chapters yet to be translated so if you don't wanna be spoiled then don't continue reading :)

before I start I just wanna emphasize all of what I'm gonna say is purely my own theories and ideas, also my Japanese is bad so I might make some mistakes thus if you noticed anything I'd be glad if you can correct me ^^

lastly, I don't know how long this post will turn out to be so sorry in advance ><

-What about Shinobu?

i want to start with this first to clear out the way, of why I don't believe Shinobu to be Seiji's sister. but another twist from Midorikawa-sensei (I mean how many times did she makes us suffer in figuring out the true identity of Seiji's sister for me to trust her easily now)

she started and ended this chapter in a way that makes you believe that Shinobu is THE miss Matoba but is she really ??

Shinobu said "really? thank you I'm glad to hear that"

is that enough to point out to herself and not to someone she knew perhaps? for example, she knew Seiji's sister or work for her so she's happy to hear someone praise her?

I really don't trust her since her deep knowledge of the exorcist world means she's not normal therefore she's in it one way or another but in what form I don't know yet, yup yup even her being Seiji's Sister isn't even 0% but I just find it weird and doesn't add up for now for me ...

I mean she can't even see the Yokai!! (Unless she lied which I doubt) now tell me, is a future leader of the Matoba clan someone who can't see Yokai? we all know what that means for a successor of an exorcist family to lose the sight. plus, if I'm not mistaken, the talk was that Seiji was more powerful than her which's why he was picked over her despite being the youngest so it was not because he was able to see the Yokai unlike her ... in short, his sister should be able to see the Yokai but Shinobu can't!!!

and this important detail by Tanuma's investigation worth taking into note, since if the thief is truly Seiji's sister, then that's NOT Shinobu unless you consider Shinobu having a long-hair xDD

so you see now why I don't believe her to be Seiji's true sister (I have other reasons but we'll come up to it next)

now we're back to square one huh, Midorikawa-sensei sure love to torture us in this arc and tease us to no end while making us suffer (which's why I love you tho ~)

before I point out to who I believe to be his sister I wanna point out to something else so you can see my line of thinking :)

listen, I don't know how or why I thought that other than I followed my intuition since I read too much into Seiji's character while thinking and linking things together (this guy is making me go crazy! I'm so sorry I have nothing better to back me up here so bear with me please ><)

we all know that Seiji doesn't like divination and guess what, I believe the reason of why is that lies with his sister one way or another.

please DON'T ask me why I think so since it's hard to explain without sounding insane xDD

BUT IT'LL MAKE SENSE I PROMISE JUST WAIT FOR IT!!!

I mean this sweet, lovely chapter was in fact a soft set-up for this Miss Matoba arc which thinking about it now let me laugh that Midorikawa-sensei did it to us yet again lol

okay okay, stop this and just tell us who is this Miss Matoba already !!!

now let's review what we believe are hints to Seiji's sister

someone with a blond long hair

someone who should be able to see Yokai but we've yet to know if this person can or can't (meaning someone NOT Shinobu)

Someone who love or do divination (since Seiji hates it)

someone we never get to know their REAL names (again aside from Shinobu)

someone having an interest in anything Yokai related

someone who should be in this arc.

now tell me, does anyone comes to mind maybe ? someone whom for some reason mysteriously disappeared ever since she set foot into the auction perhaps ??

true, I meant her. Kurara or whatever her name is. no matter which way I slice it she just fit everything in my mind so I just can't help but think she is the REAL Miss Matoba. her disappearing ever since she dropped Natsume isn't really helping her case tbh. she also love and do divination which just so fit with my idea that his sister have something to do with divination which's why he isn't a big fan to that ><

and I said it to a friend, I just won't believe who's Seiji's sister till I see them both facing each other so nope I won't fall for Midorikawa-sensei trap AGAIN!!!

I know this might be far-fetched but I just couldn't stop thinking about it since alot was bothering me and I read into many things too much maybe but I HAD to let it out my chest so yup here you have it <3

-Bonus :Ultra small crazy theory

this one is ... ummm... listen... I know Seiji is making me go crazy and this one I just DON'T have any proof to really back it up like him hating divination because of his sister so just take this with grain of salt ... it just ... I WANTED TO JUST SHARE IT SINCE MY FIREND WAS GONNA KILL ME OF HOW CRAZY I AM TO COME UP WITH THIS !!!!

i mean if I said ... Kuro Misa (Black Misa) might refer to two people will you say I'm going crazy? haha ha ha

Seiji is very handsome indeed, but would you describe him as "doll-like beauty" ?? (you are to me at least, don't worry) not with that eyepatch at least, right ? if there's someone whom I would say is a "doll-like beauty." it would be Kurara.

one line hit me as being weird and my mind went "wait!! is it possible?!! what if ...!!!!" ever since I moved with the line of thoughts that Kurara is Seiji's sister ... umm... it's rumors and I know people never really know much about Kuro Misa ... but certain line felt off to me which was "she was beautiful like a doll" when describing Kuro Misa before we know it was actually Seiji's other hidden identity.

Kuro Misa wear a black veil that no one ever saw her face or have any idea what kind of a person she is, so it won't be far-fetched for people not to notice if it's two different person under the veil.

and it didn't help my case that this arc started with Kurara like this ... even Natsume thought she was Kuro Misa ><

this brings me to think that, what if Seiji created Kuro Misa in respond to his sister? so that he can keep an eye on her movement or to at least be in the same circle as her. which's why he picked such a character that is so unlike him since he just hate divination so why bother being known as someone famous of such a thing?? (I swear this man deserve all the respect for all the things he just do to protect his clan but no one ever appreciate it T^T)

Seiji also said that wearing a veil is very helpful since it will help him to recognize the faces of anyone whom tries to come closer to him to uncover his secrets, but what if a hidden/indirect meaning is also that if someone whom thought he was his sister thus come closer to talk to him that would help him recognize his enemies or the people his sister tried to make contact with to let them join her side in her fight against the Matoba clan !!

I know all of this might not make any sense, and as I said this one is just a very crazy theory of mine that won't be true mostly but was fun to think about .. if I hit it close to the truth I'd be very shocked of myself tbh xDD

I am extraordinarily excited for B3, but I'm not sure which route I'm doing first. Whichever route I am doing is my favorite in the moment lol.

Morgan is my favorite in a way because I feel like we get to go on this self-discovery journey with her. She is clearly puzzled at her own maintained interest, even if the detective turns her down for sex due to having feelings and wanting the sex to mean something. Watching her attempts to justify this as just being down for the chase is really funny. Especially as she grows more attached to the detective. For example, on this playthrough I just completed, I had my detective outright state "I don't want to have sex with you unless it means something." Given that Morgan accepts with a graceful "no big, one-night-stands aren't everyone's thing," you would expect her to either give up or realize that she might have actual feelings for this person. Buuuut she doesn't. She is at least questioning it, though, and I enjoy seeing the dissonance between what she says she wants and how she actually behaves from her perspective.

As for Nat... Well, I'll put it like this. When I was 8, I saw "The Color Purple" for the first time. If you are unfamiliar with the novel or film, it is a coming-of-age story about a young black woman named Celie living in the American South in the early 20th century. Anyway, there is a scene where Shug, a blues singer, is serenading Celie. She makes her way across the tavern as she sings about how resilient and kind Celie is, until she is kneeling in front of the other woman and gently pulling her hands away from her face to reveal this beautiful smile.

I was transfixed by that scene; it was the romantic ideal to me. Someone kind and patient meeting another person where they were at. I see Nat's route as meeting the same ideal. Hers feels the most like soulmates, even though I'm actually not a fan of that trope typically. It's very romantic, and I would 100% read a traditional novel about Nat.

Then there's Farah. As I mentioned above, whoever I'm romancing on a given route becomes I favorite. When I don't play for a while, I tend to gravitate towards Farah. She's a fun, friends-to-lovers, cozy romance. She's straightforward and honest about her feelings. She's the kind of person I would want to date IRL. I made a post a couple of months ago where I talked about Farah as being one of my top three comfort characters. In context of strictly Wayhaven, what makes Farah my favorite is that even when I'm not on her route, she's my favorite character. Not in a "I have to hold myself back from romancing her" kind of way, but in the way that even in the friend route, I absolutely love her. I have a type, and it's straightforward and chaotic.

Now I don't enjoy Ava's route as much for a few reasons. This disappoints me a bit, because there aren't a lot of a-spec ROs in games (I think William from Changeling is the last one I can remember really liking) and I like Ava as a character so much. She's complex and interesting, and I don't mind not having physicality as part of the romance (trust me, as a sex-averse person, I really don't mind). Nor do I take issue with characters being confused about their feelings. But Ava is aware of her feelings and of the Detective's. I know there are reasons as to why she is hesitant to begin a relationship, but her method of push-and-pull is deeply frustrating to me. In-universe, the Detective has even less insight as to why she does this, and in their place I would both feel extremely hurt and probably have given up pursuing anything with her.

This brings us to the LT. Now, generally, I am not a fan of LTs, as I don't like making choices like this in games. They stress me out XD. However, this tends to feel, to me, as the way Ava's romance works the best. If you weren't aware, TWC was originally intended to be a traditional novel series, with the Detective (who I think was orginally named Lauren) in a LT with Nate and Adam. This is why that is the only LT available -- it was central to the original plot. While I think Mishka has done a good job adapting to a different medium and all romances feel canon when it comes to individual playthroughs, I think A's status as 1/2 of a LT kind of lingers in the background on their individual route.

I am currently replaying everyone to have some saves ready and fresh in my mind for B3. I will most likely be on Farah when B3 becomes available, so she'll probably be the first lol.

ToT - chapter 10 - just some comments

My 120k deck was enough to clear chapter 10 and I just can't believe it hahahah hell yeah! 🥳

Now I know why people were saying that tot's main story is getting darker. And I agree. But I love that. The angst!! And it's so hard to trust people now. Even the boys. I don't mind taking home shady marius tho 🤭🤭🤭 Give me! He is mineeeee

I just feel this huge distance right now between the boys and rosa. And it seems that this will just get worse in future chapters. I wonder if one of our boys will become a traitor. If they aren't already.

Vyn saved Rosa's life and that was so cool. I loved their acting in the sauna ahahah. I was very tense reading that especially cuz I hate saunas lol.

Artem's acting is also getting better. He should be happy he got Rosa as his prize lol. Congratulations Artem. You should thank Vyn for that 🤣🤣

Idk if it's just me but I'm so mad at jerome hahaha. I mean, we don't know exactly what he is plotting, but I just can't stand him acting all friendly/cute when he talks to rosa. It looks as if he is mocking us!

Maybe he does care about the patients, but I just can't believe anything he says at this point. I hope NXX investigates him in the next chapter 😤😤

Also, what is Vyn's family connection to that facility jerome worked at? I forgot the name of the place, but according to Marius, Vyn's family has some sort of partnership with this facility who may be involved in shady business.

And talking about Vyn, his uncle is hot. But apparently he is a douche >.<. He 'trapped' vyn in his house? Did I get that right? What for? So many questions...

And who is the guy who was threatening Felicia's husband and his family? As you can see I already forgot the name of her husband 🙃Come on! I'm so curious!!! It may be the same guy who tried to kill Rosa, but it doesn't make sense that he exposed his identity to Rosa. Yeah, he probably thought she was going to die there, but still... A pretty dumb move if he did that.

Another moment I reallyyyyyyyyyy liked was the car chase. Artem is such a good driver btw. Boy got some skills, I must say it xD. It was very brave of him to put his life at risk to protect MC from the crash.

And I have to mention Marius and Vincent's convo. They are so stupid hahahaha. When they were talking about that dude who assaulted Mar, what was his name again? lol, vincent asked marius why he didn't send the info himself to Rosa and Marius asked him who was the boss, I laughed so hard. Marius is so dramatic sometimes 🤣🤣🤣 And he was so ready to seek revenge (and so was I) but the guy killed himself. I still don't understand why he assaulted marius. What he was trying to achieve there? Someone pushed him to do that? Does he have some connection with Gerard? And where is gerard btw? I hope he is okay...
