You know, I've never been on the receiving end of loving a character that has like no content. Usually I fall in love with a fairly popular character that has tons of content.

So when it took me 80 hours and horrific moments to happen to my Rook just to get my first kiss from Lucanis, I must say I was flabbergasted. Don't get me wrong, it was such a beautiful scene but GYAH. Why did it take forever.

I still love Lucanis and have many thoughts about him and my Rook and they are dancing eternally in my head. I need to sit down and write

He does have so little content, and it's been suggested it's because his writer, Mary Kirby, was one of the folks who got laid off :(

Even so, I adore what we have and I fully intend to write about his relationship with Alessia because I need it <3 (also Mary has been answering questions about him and the Crows over on bluesky, which is excellent fuel for fics >:D)

Honestly I think the Kenobi show should’ve just. Been about Reva. She was the strongest part of the show, and I think that the narrative would’ve been a lot better if we got her full back story and perspective. Obi-Wan could’ve still been there, but Reva really should’ve been the main character

Happy super duper late Ied Mubarak!

Since this is still in Ied holiday vibe, I wanna talk about some short videos of Boboiboy especially for celebrating Eid Fitri!

I believe when I went hiatus there was at least four short videos commemorated Ied Holiday.

There were:

Kebenaran Raya (2019)

Memori Aidilfitri (2021)

Kembali Aidilfitri (2022) , and

Temani Raya (2023)

And the way I see it, Monsta usually published the short video in the same year they released their show.

Like Kebenaran Raya was in the same year of Movie 2;

Temani Raya, same year of Mechamato Movie came out;

Or even the newly released Papa Pipi Pindah that marketed this year with its upcoming movie, Papa Pipi: Game On.

Again I just rejoin to this fandom not long ago and I missed too many things during my absence. Who knew there was a prequel series to Boboiboy when I was gone? There's even the movie that already came out!

Real talk. I thought Mechamato was another series from different publishers....

(Just like how I deduct Boboiboy was a branch series under Upin-Ipin... Until I read the credit scene properly 🙃)

So my mind was a bit... Convoluted when watching those short videos.

"Wait, Pian who? There's a baby ver of Boboiboy? Mechabot knows Boboiboy? Younger ver of Atok in another house?? Hold on, why there's so many alien robot in this place?? And people used to it??? And how the heck there's a freaking iron man basement somewhere???"

"Am I missing something here?!"

But after I completed my speed running this series, now I say these shorts were both charming and saddening.

TO BE FAIR, I heavily wanted to talk for new canon theories that somehow a bit unique to cater this deep from a "supposedly" heartwarming vid that all family of ages could enjoy.

Buuuuuut... Since I haven't yet watch all the Mechamato series, I might retract my thoughts and need to finished my marathon session first before continuing. (I want to watch the movie first before the TV series one yet I'm still having trouble to find a proper time to do it, alone. The struggle to have one Netflix account and can only access it from TV in the living room was painful sometimes :/)

For general impressions, I'd say I'm amazed! The quality is preeettyy~~~~

Usually their new attires for Ied holiday is my fav highlights, thus 'Kembali Aidilfitri' is my bias.

Especially the picture where Fang take off his glasses from one its promotional images made me—

My luck in my current save in Stardew Valley is that I'm unlucky in that I Still haven't gotten the 1st and 5th dwarf scrolls (and yet I have 3 copies of the 2nd and 2 of the 3rd, where 1 each is already at the museum). Think if Alistair was a Pro-Hero, he'd be known as The Archivist, his Quirk being like Omniscient Scribe that just writes and writes and writes, everything he's seen, heard, tasted, touched, smelt over his life. He just exists, and his quirk is passively active at all times. Somewhere it's scribbling nearby what he's going through - recording everything and thus, he's used as an endless database for either government or just the world in general.

He gets shown the world's happenings, told stories and shown / fed everything to do with the world and it just gets recorded. Non-stop.

It's pretty useless from the start but honestly, when he's able to figure out quirks and how to overpower them or make them useless, it becomes dangerous quickly. After all, everything, even the slightest whisper in his presence gets recorded.

All it'll take is one slip up and he'll have things documented forever and at his mercy of giving and using.

went to the movie theater to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (enjoyed it btw. so emotional /pos) and yet again had to bear the agony of seeing promotional content for Mutant Mayhem knowing I have to wait another two months for it to come out

Not as bad as the time I almost cried seeing the Sonic 2 poster last year for the same reason but still
